00:00:00.000 Thank you.
00:04:41.000 Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington on behalf of his constituents.
00:04:48.000 Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem in the Democratic Party.
00:04:51.000 He can cause a lot of hiccups in passing applause.
00:04:54.000 So we're going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him.
00:04:57.000 If you stand for the flag and kneel in prayer, if you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground, then welcome, my fellow patriots.
00:05:06.000 You are in the right place.
00:05:08.000 This is the movement for you.
00:05:10.000 You ever watch this guy on television?
00:05:12.000 It's like a machine.
00:05:14.000 Matt Gaetz.
00:05:15.000 I'm a canceled man in some corners of the internet.
00:05:18.000 Many days, I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.
00:05:23.000 They aren't really coming for me.
00:05:25.000 They're coming for you.
00:05:27.000 I'm just in the way.
00:05:32.000 Welcome back to Firebrand.
00:05:34.000 We are broadcasting live out of room 2021 of the Rayburn House office building on the Capitol Complex here in Washington, D.C. What a week it has been.
00:05:42.000 I've got updates regarding the debt limit negotiations that are happening right now.
00:05:47.000 Also, important information regarding the abuses that the federal government has been engaged in.
00:05:53.000 I hope you watch the FBI whistleblowers episode that we put up yesterday.
00:05:57.000 It went through all the key parts of that testimony.
00:05:59.000 But we're getting even more news about how the FBI is breaking the confines of their authorities, particularly regarding FISA.
00:06:10.000 When the FBI gets to go before secret courts, it seems as though that's when we get the worst behavior.
00:06:15.000 Who could imagine?
00:06:16.000 But before we get to that, why is it that the Department of Defense and their leadership just cannot be straight about stuff, especially the wokeness?
00:06:24.000 Time and again, they say, oh, well, we're not teaching critical race theory in our academies.
00:06:31.000 Then you show them the critical race theory curriculum.
00:06:33.000 They say, oh, we're not aggrandizing socialism.
00:06:36.000 Then you show where they're having pro-socialism literature in their required reading for the National Defense University.
00:06:42.000 And most recently, we had to get to the absurdity Of the United States military hosting drag shows on military bases.
00:06:52.000 I asked Secretary of Defense Austin about that recently in the House Armed Services Committee, and you just have to watch this clip, listen to this clip, with an eye toward how detached this man is from reality.
00:07:05.000 Take a listen.
00:07:08.000 I guess my question is, how much taxpayer money should go to fund drag queen story hours on military bases?
00:07:20.000 You know, drag queen story hours is not something that the department funds.
00:07:25.000 Wait a second.
00:07:26.000 That's actually not what the record seems to suggest.
00:07:28.000 You were going to fund one at Ramstein Air Force Base.
00:07:31.000 That one got canceled, but that's DOD insignia.
00:07:34.000 That's a drag queen story hour for children.
00:07:37.000 Then also at Maelstrom Air Force Base outside of Great Falls, Montana, you had a drag queen story hour for kids.
00:07:45.000 At the Joint Base Langley-Eustace, you put on a drag...
00:07:49.000 Queen Story Hour on a Saturday for the first ever kid-friendly Diversity Equity Inclusion Summer Festival and at Nellis Air Force Base, you had the Drag U Nellis on June 17th.
00:07:59.000 Who funded these things, Mr. Secretary?
00:08:02.000 Listen, drag shows are not something that the Department of Defense supports or funds.
00:08:09.000 Why are they happening on military bases?
00:08:11.000 I just showed you the evidence.
00:08:13.000 Why are they happening?
00:08:17.000 I will say again.
00:08:19.000 This is not something that we support or fund.
00:08:23.000 So you think hosting a drag queen story hour on a military base isn't supporting the drag queen story hour?
00:08:31.000 I stand by what I just said.
00:08:33.000 You may stand by it, but it's belied by the evidence over and over again.
00:08:37.000 I mean, are you aware of the piece, Biden's military, Air Force Base in Montana holds drag show, drag queen story hour for kids in the Western Journal.
00:08:48.000 Are you aware of that?
00:08:51.000 Again, I will say what I've said before.
00:08:53.000 You're saying what you're saying, but I guess it just doesn't comport the facts.
00:08:58.000 Yeah, it doesn't.
00:08:59.000 And Mark Milley thereafter said, oh, if there's any drag queen story hours going on on military bases, bring me the evidence and I will work to make sure that doesn't happen.
00:09:07.000 I provided General Milley a list.
00:09:09.000 I have not heard back from him.
00:09:11.000 And that brings us to what's happening now, rather predictably.
00:09:16.000 Matthew Lohmeyer is someone who served in the United States military and he also wrote critically about all of the wokeism that was working its way into some of the training and curriculum that the United States Air Force was engaged in.
00:09:31.000 So Lohmeyer And again, that was the testimony you just saw.
00:10:00.000 But that's not true.
00:10:02.000 For the third year in a row, Nellis Air Force Base is hosting a drag show.
00:10:08.000 It's one of the many bases now overtly sexualizing the workplace and complicit in introducing sexual predators to children.
00:10:15.000 Troops are reaching out and asking for help to put an end to the madness.
00:10:19.000 The next show at Nellis is June 1st on base in the Officers Club, Flyers Below.
00:10:24.000 There is, quote, no minimum age requirement.
00:10:28.000 Isn't that interesting?
00:10:29.000 If you're stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, military contractor, or civilian, or any other base where this is happening, let base leadership know this is unacceptable and offensive to you and your family.
00:10:39.000 Submit inspector general complaints now, investigate lawsuits, call your congressman, and talk openly with the press.
00:10:45.000 One memo from the Secretary of Defense can end all of this on U.S. military bases.
00:10:50.000 If he won't...
00:10:51.000 And he should, but he likely won't.
00:10:53.000 Then our service chiefs can and should end it.
00:10:57.000 Base leadership can end it.
00:10:58.000 Who has the courage among the U.S. military leaders?
00:11:01.000 Step up and do what is right.
00:11:03.000 And he tags me and Tucker Carlson and a number of other media outlets.
00:11:08.000 And go ahead and put up Sasha on the screen.
00:11:11.000 This is the advertisement.
00:11:14.000 Explicitly saying that there is no minimum age requirement for this drag show on a military base for children.
00:11:25.000 What happened to our military?
00:11:27.000 We used to be the elite fighting force that was the vanguard for the values and principles of a great nation that was widely celebrated.
00:11:37.000 And now we lose wars and put on drag shows.
00:11:40.000 That is the true legacy of lying Lloyd Austin.
00:11:45.000 And they ought to do better.
00:11:46.000 And I'm going to be sending correspondence pursuant to this notice from Mr. Lohmeyer about this event.
00:11:53.000 And I'm going to be demanding that General Milley and Lloyd Austin merely stay consistent with their testimony.
00:12:00.000 Look, if there is some great value out of putting on drag shows at military bases, then let's freaking hear it.
00:12:08.000 Let them come forward and lay out the great military advantage that we get from the drag queen shows.
00:12:15.000 But they don't do that when they're in committee having to answer questions.
00:12:20.000 And then they want to go behind our back and fund it and support it.
00:12:24.000 We'll either step up and defend it or get rid of it.
00:12:26.000 And we're going to be calling them to a carpet for this.
00:12:29.000 And you know what else?
00:12:30.000 We're going to end this shit by force of law.
00:12:32.000 We're going to put in the National Defense Authorization Act that you are not permitted to engage in this activity on a military base.
00:12:40.000 I can't even believe we have to do that.
00:12:41.000 I can't even believe that's required.
00:12:44.000 But apparently it is.
00:12:46.000 Because elements of the Defense Department have gone woke.
00:12:50.000 And then the generals and the leadership come and lie to Congress about it.
00:12:54.000 Maybe there needs to be a criminal referral for Lloyd Austin lying to Congress, saying these things didn't happen, that they weren't supported.
00:13:01.000 When in fact they are.
00:13:02.000 They're happening now.
00:13:04.000 Lying to Congress is a crime, actually.
00:13:07.000 And Lloyd Austin very well may have committed it.
00:13:10.000 I want to talk now about the debt limit negotiations that are ongoing.
00:13:15.000 And there was...
00:13:16.000 A critical argument put out on Twitter recently by my colleague Chip Roy of Texas.
00:13:21.000 Chip Roy is one of the real thought leaders among conservatives and certainly a border hawk and a fiscal hawk.
00:13:28.000 And as we have this discussion right now, you've got the White House engaging in negotiation I'll give them that.
00:13:38.000 For months, they said only a clean debt limit.
00:13:42.000 Now, Joe Biden is saying we will negotiate.
00:13:44.000 I think the most productive thing that's happened in the debt limit negotiations is probably throwing Chuck Schumer out of the room.
00:13:50.000 He's a person that wants to bring us to the brink and then try to get House Republicans to swallow some increase in the debt limit without any corresponding reductions in spending or key policy steps.
00:14:03.000 McCarthy doesn't have a lot of wiggle room here.
00:14:06.000 It's not as if Kevin McCarthy can go and negotiate away from the plan that I didn't vote for that he barely passed off the floor of the House.
00:14:15.000 Now, Chip Roy, my friend, my colleague, a like-minded thinker on many things, he did vote for the Republican plan, but he seems to be making the argument today that he hadn't voted for any step off of this plan anymore.
00:14:29.000 Here's his argument.
00:14:30.000 Chip Roy, thread on the debt ceiling.
00:14:33.000 The House GOP passed H.R. 2811, the Limit Save Grow Act that raises the debt ceiling $1.5 trillion or until the 31st of March 2024. For sensible, purposeful, non-political reforms, those reforms should not be abandoned because they matter.
00:14:52.000 So we're going to go through them.
00:14:55.000 Purposeful reform number one.
00:14:58.000 Cut the federal bureaucracy to pre-COVID levels by limiting total discretionary 2024 spending to 2022 levels.
00:15:06.000 So rolling back to 2022 level spending, that is $1.47 trillion.
00:15:13.000 That's the value on that change.
00:15:17.000 This will constrain woke bureaucrats, help spur growth and freedom, and it resets spending to save $131 billion now and $3.5 trillion over the next 10 years.
00:15:28.000 Alright, let's go to the next point.
00:15:30.000 Purposeful Reform 2. Cut the so-called Inflation Reduction Act tax credit, always given to rich white elites, 90% of the corporate subsidies, The billion dollars to corporations, 80% to electric vehicles, a lot of it going to people making over $100,000 a year.
00:15:51.000 This saves $1.2 trillion.
00:15:55.000 It keeps reliable energy in our country, and it will stop these increases to gas and electricity that our nation has suffered.
00:16:03.000 So number one is the rollback on the money.
00:16:08.000 Number two is the rollback on the crazy Green New Deal stuff.
00:16:12.000 Purposeful reform number three, back to Chip Roy's tweet.
00:16:16.000 Implement the RAINS Act to end the abuse of executive power to pass regulations that cost Americans hundreds of billions of dollars by requiring congressional approval for significant regulations.
00:16:29.000 Purposeful reform number four, end the oppressive and deficit-increasing $550 billion in student loan bailouts that picks winners and losers, forcing hard-working plumbers or patriotic veterans to subsidize the privilege.
00:16:45.000 Some gender studies students' master's degree.
00:16:50.000 Purposeful reform number five, end the $80 billion IRS expansion that will target poor and minority Americans three to five times more than non-poor and minority taxpayers.
00:17:02.000 In other words, another policy that hurts hard-working families while the elite and privileged just hire a lawyer.
00:17:10.000 He's so right about that because...
00:17:13.000 The big, powerful corporations, they're going to have the money for the accountants and the lawyers to get around any increase in a contribution they would have to make in taxes.
00:17:25.000 When Joe Biden raises taxes, it squeezes the regular folks who don't have those means.
00:17:31.000 And adding more IRS agents is just going to function to, I guess, help IRS defense attorneys, but it certainly won't help working people.
00:17:42.000 Purposeful reform number seven, enforcing work requirements for able-bodied Americans, mirroring the bipartisan reforms signed by President Clinton and supported by then-Senator Joe Biden, widely supported by Americans to spur economic growth and reduce welfare.
00:18:03.000 As many of you know, this has been one of the key policy concessions that I've been fighting for in the debt-limit negotiations.
00:18:09.000 A serious country...
00:18:12.000 Does not go to $49 trillion in debt over the next 10 years while paying people who could work not to.
00:18:22.000 That is so obvious.
00:18:23.000 I can't even believe I have to say it out loud.
00:18:24.000 And if Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich could do welfare to work, then we should be doing welfare to work right now.
00:18:31.000 We got a lot of people on the dole who don't need to be who would see their own conditions and their own lives improved if they did not engage in multi-generational government dependence and we see that too often now purposeful reform number eight reclaim a 50 billion dollars in unobligated and unspent covid money that just seems pretty obvious to me now that the pandemic is over Roy concludes that all of these reforms together are going
00:19:01.000 to help the middle class.
00:19:02.000 They're going to help hardworking American families far more than this democratic agenda that has crushed our economy, decimated the energy sector, hurt all the productive sectors, squeezed the supply chain, driven inflation, and ensured that American families are no longer able to dream their best dreams and live their best lives.
00:19:25.000 So I think Roy makes a compelling point.
00:19:27.000 I think that the real signal Roy is sending there is actually not to Joe Biden.
00:19:33.000 It's probably to Kevin McCarthy.
00:19:35.000 Chip Roy is telling Kevin McCarthy with that tweet thread that each and every one of these reforms is essential and that he can't cut a deal to raise the debt limit without them.
00:19:46.000 But that said, here's what I think The ultimate debt limit deal will be.
00:19:53.000 I think it will include some permitting reforms from HR1. Biden will simply say that's an extension of his infrastructure bill.
00:20:02.000 We'll say that it's our HR1 key permitting and energy bill.
00:20:07.000 I think we'll get some work requirements.
00:20:09.000 Maybe not on the Medicaid expansion universe, which is where you get a lot of the savings, but we might get work requirements on SNAP and TANF. And instead of the $1.5 trillion increase in the debt limit, I believe it will be a far greater increase in the debt limit over $2 trillion, bringing us into 2025. That would be a deal that I think McCarthy could support, Biden could support, and I sure as hell wouldn't.
00:20:37.000 I would be a no on such a deal because it is insufficient downward pressure on inflation.
00:20:45.000 And it is a gaslighting of the growth of government beyond what I would ever be willing to put my name on.
00:20:51.000 So that's what I'm starting to sense based on some of the smoke signals I've received will be the four corners of the deal.
00:20:58.000 And it will require McCarthy getting 50, 60, 70 Democrats to vote for it because my suspicion is that me and a lot of the folks that you see on Firebrand, the Andy Biggs's, the Scott Perry's, they probably wouldn't support something like this.
00:21:14.000 And I don't think Chip Roy would either, based on that tweet thread that we saw.
00:21:20.000 Don't think that we'll have some key provisions in, like those Green New Deal revocations and rollbacks, and I don't think we're going to get the Reigns Act either, even though that would be a monumental win for conservatives.
00:21:33.000 Speaking of winning, it sure feels like we're getting through to the American people about the abuses of the FBI. About stat padding?
00:21:46.000 About targeting our fellow Americans?
00:21:48.000 And when they did those things, man, were they crushed.
00:21:52.000 Well, who else got crushed in a court order today was the FBI. Wall Street Journal, with a fresh hot piece, just got it as we were coming on to stream today.
00:22:06.000 FBI improperly searched spy database for information on Americans, court says.
00:22:11.000 And I'm citing now here from the Wall Street Journal.
00:22:14.000 Despite a lack of evidence, the FBI performed more than a dozen searches of raw foreign intelligence data related to people believed to be involved in the Capitol riot for foreign ties.
00:22:27.000 Three January 6th searches were conducted that used more than 23,000 search terms.
00:22:34.000 Now, it wasn't just the January 6th subjects and targets that had their rights violated this way.
00:22:41.000 It was also folks involved in the BLM riots.
00:22:44.000 This was surprising to me.
00:22:46.000 The FBI analysts also searched for information related to 133 people arrested in the aftermath of the protests prompted by the killing of George Floyd.
00:22:56.000 So there you have it.
00:22:58.000 Whether you're a BLM activist or someone who was at the Capitol on January 6th, the FBI is willing to take authorities that they have to spy on foreigners, and if they collect any information on Americans during that search of a foreigner, well, they keep that, and then they search it whenever they want to.
00:23:21.000 That is so wrong.
00:23:22.000 If you want to get information on someone, we have a process in this country.
00:23:26.000 You get a warrant.
00:23:27.000 You establish probable cause.
00:23:29.000 You give deference to people's Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights.
00:23:34.000 But not this FBI. They gather, they search, and as you saw with the whistleblowers, when they're done with that, they destroy.
00:23:43.000 I believe we've got to entirely reimagine federal law enforcement and the national security state.
00:23:48.000 I think we have to get a whole heck of a lot of that outside of Washington, D.C. We should not be building them a new headquarters.
00:23:54.000 We should not reauthorize certain authorities in foreign intelligence collection that then get brought home and used against our fellow Americans, and we should never allow the retaliation against these whistleblowers like we have seen.
00:24:09.000 Hope everyone has a great and fun weekend.
00:24:11.000 As always, we ask that you subscribe to the show, that you make sure you have that little bell rung.
00:24:17.000 Click that.
00:24:18.000 Ensure your notifications are turned on because different times of the day we go live to give you reports as they are happening from here in Washington.
00:24:26.000 Thanks so much for being patriots, for being part of our audience.
00:24:29.000 Roll the credits.
