00:00:42.760 doesn't stop there. The judge gave Justin Baldoni another win yesterday. He allowed Justin and his

00:00:50.220 team another week to look through the dump of new evidence that Blake Lively just filed.

00:00:57.500 1,000 pages of irrelevant documents and 40 witnesses. Yeah, there's a lot to talk about.

00:01:48.600 to try to explain what really happened here. It's a little bit complicated, but you know there's not

00:01:52.880 only one lawsuit involved here. Blake Lively, as you know, of course sued Justin Baldoni and the

00:01:57.980 Wayfair parties and they sued Blake Lively, Leslie Sloan, Ryan Reynolds, New York Times back. But on

00:02:03.860 top of that, there's another lawsuit that's really interesting and plays a huge part in Blake Lively's

00:02:10.200 lawsuit and that is stephanie jones lawsuit against jennifer abel and the wayfair parties

00:02:16.020 including justin baldoni she's the company that justin baldoni hired to do the publicity

00:02:21.980 for him during it ends with us she's also the person who grabbed the phone of her ex-employee

00:02:27.900 jennifer abel gave it to blake lively who gave it to the new york times so as you know everything

00:02:33.280 in blake lively's lawsuit is basically based on what they found and the entire angle of that new

00:02:39.440 Times article was based on one text message that they found, we can bury anyone. So now the judge

00:02:47.500 has ruled on the countersued that Jennifer Abel and the Wayfair parties brought against Stephanie

00:02:56.480 Jones. They sued her for four counts. Two of them did not survive, which was breach of contract

00:03:03.740 basically but two of them did survive and it's going to trial one of them being defamation

00:03:12.480 and that is what's really interesting here first of all because that opens up discovery for what

00:03:19.420 really happened between stephanie jones and blake lively's team through this discovery process

00:03:26.560 We're going to see documents, phone calls, text messages between these parties planning everything that they did against Justin Baldoni.

00:03:39.120 And something that really caught my eye in this ruling is when the judge said this.

00:03:44.000 He said, to be defamatory, a plaintiff is ultimately required to prove that the alleged fact is false.

00:03:53.120 This is quite interesting because if Blake Lively is claiming this smear campaign against Justin Baldoni,

00:04:00.920 I assume that she also has to prove that the information that was spread about her was false,

00:04:08.140 which we know that she can't even point to any articles that printed lies about her.

00:04:13.440 Justin, on the other hand, was accused of a lot of things that I believe,

00:04:17.800 and I think most of you guys also believe, that he's not guilty of.

00:04:20.800 And the judge continues, the Wayfarer alleges that the statements made by Jones and Jones' works about Wayfarer were false.

00:04:30.080 Counter claims as not only was Jones well aware that Lively had not actually been harassed on set,

00:04:37.120 she also knew that there had not been a smear campaign.

00:04:41.220 That is sufficient to survive a motion to dismiss.

00:04:44.840 So the judge said there is no evidence of a smear campaign

00:04:48.340 and there is no evidence of any harassment at this point.

00:04:52.680 So the fact that Stephanie Jones claimed those things to be true

00:05:00.500 You also have to keep in mind that Justin Baldoni's lawsuit

00:06:07.980 On Thursday, federal judge Louis Lyman ruled that Baldoni's defamation lawsuit against his former publicist Stephanie Jones can proceed.

00:06:17.040 This is a big loss for Jones, who was sued not by Baldoni himself, but his production company Wayfarer.

00:06:23.720 The ruling also subjects a number of players in the sprawling narrative to the possibility of discovery, including Jones, as well as Lively's publicist.

00:06:37.660 And here they have a quote from a spokesperson from the Wayfair parties saying that the court further allowed claims to move forward that Stephanie Jones of Jones' work acted in bad faith,

00:06:54.400 a critical moment. These are not minor disputes. They are claims the court has found substantial

00:18:44.120 she would go to protect a partner, because she felt that when she was in a relationship with

00:18:49.660 someone, that person would be an extension of herself. So she would do anything to protect

00:18:57.840 this person and she could spend months planning revenge on someone anyways here are some of the
