00:12:47.420 she just released a new music video and she's in the middle of a big tour and people were shocked
00:12:53.840 when they saw how thin and frail she looks. She received a lot of reactions and some people call
00:13:00.780 it criticism, some people call it backlash and yesterday she reacted to this saying that she
00:13:07.800 is going to take some time off when she's done with this concert or when she's done with this
00:13:13.300 tour the eternal sunshine tour and also that she's dropping out of this theater play that she
00:13:19.600 was doing so yesterday ariana was back on stage in chicago and she denied that she was taking this
00:13:28.080 time off due to all the backlash in the media and on social media she said it's something that i
00:13:34.600 have decided a plan that i'd quietly made a long time ago and it is a decision that was made from
00:13:39.900 a thoughtful and empowered place. And I want you to know that many things can be true at the same
00:13:45.300 time. I want to share this because I heard that my fans were worried that negativity was ruining
00:13:51.000 things for me. But I just have to say that could not be more the effing opposite. I promise you

00:14:59.320 watching Ariana Grande, thinking that this is normal, thinking that this is a person that I
00:15:06.880 look up to, and she says she's okay, so that means that she's okay. Who is more important here? Ariana
00:15:14.120 Grande and her health, or all the millions of young girls that she's influencing? To me, it's a really
00:15:20.700 interesting question. So where does compassion end, and where does responsibility start, and who's
00:15:26.860 responsible here. In my personal opinion, I believe that we have to talk about things that
00:15:32.360 are uncomfortable to talk about because otherwise nothing changes and things need to change. We've
00:15:38.880 seen the Osempic epidemic in Hollywood. We witnessed how so many celebrities are getting
00:15:45.940 thinner and thinner and thinner and these people are not good role models. And you have people like
00:15:52.820 Amy Schumer, she built an entire career on rejecting the beauty standards of Hollywood.
00:15:58.740 She was mocking herself. She was mocking her own body. She talked openly about not fitting into
00:16:05.420 that mold. And then all of a sudden she loses all this weight and she doesn't want anyone to even
00:16:10.340 remember what she used to look like. So she deletes her entire Instagram and starts over again
00:16:17.820 being the new thin Amy Schumer and I was just looking at her Instagram and she still has
00:16:24.880 limited comments on her Instagram because people criticized her for it saying hey why are you
