00:00:00.000 Well, it looks like Blake and Ryan are the new kryptonite of Hollywood.
00:00:04.980 This lawsuit is now called a dumpster fire.
00:00:13.200 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk.
00:00:15.020 I'm Tashli Floor, journalist, Hollywood truth teller,
00:00:17.700 and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion.
00:00:21.880 So apparently all the A-listers are running away from Blake and Ryan right now.
00:00:26.860 Us Weekly just dropped an article calling this lawsuit a Hollywood dumpster fire.
00:00:33.800 No one wants anything to do with them anymore.
00:00:36.180 I wonder why.
00:00:37.820 And let's also talk about how Scarlett Johansson got dragged into this all of a sudden.
00:00:42.020 Although I actually spoke about this already four months ago when that audio recording was released
00:00:47.680 where Blake Lively's new witness tried to help smear Justin Baldoni
00:00:52.800 and now it's backfired big time on her.
00:00:55.880 Let's also go through some of the text messages that Blake sent to Sony.
00:01:00.600 This is so interesting because there's a big discussion online now about the final cut of this movie
00:01:06.080 and some Blake Lively supporters are saying that her cut scored higher than Justin's.
00:01:12.840 It's all BS and they're all missing the point.
00:01:16.200 And I'll go through those texts which will blow your mind.
00:01:19.080 And yesterday Apple TV had a big press day here in Los Angeles.
00:01:24.100 They invited over 300 journalists.
00:01:27.100 They were sharing all their new movies and TV shows for 2026.
00:01:31.560 And on that list was Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh who are both starring in Apple's movie Mayday.
00:01:39.340 That movie was made two years ago and it still hasn't hit the streaming platform.
00:01:44.920 It was announced yesterday that Ryan was going to be there on stage to talk about this movie.
00:01:51.560 Guess what happened?
00:01:52.960 He never showed up.
00:01:54.340 They just ignored the whole thing even though the day before it was announced and confirmed that he was going to be there.
00:02:00.800 I wonder what happened.
00:02:02.400 We don't know yet if Ryan was the one who cancelled, if Apple TV was the one who cancelled,
00:02:06.980 or maybe it was his co-star Kenneth Branagh who was like,
00:02:09.860 I don't want to be on a stage with Ryan Reynolds.
00:02:11.820 I guess we won't find that out.
00:02:13.340 But we know that this movie has now been pushed to September this year.
00:02:17.620 They finished this in May of 2024.
00:02:21.000 Apple hasn't given any reason why for this delay, but I have my own thoughts about that.
00:02:26.260 I don't know what you think.
00:02:27.280 Let me know in the comment section.
00:02:29.100 Anyways, let's get into this article in Us Weekly.
00:02:31.900 This is pretty juicy.
00:02:32.960 It says here that why Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal war is dividing Hollywood.
00:02:38.840 No one leaves clean.
00:02:41.260 And then they start off by saying that the feeling is frustration,
00:02:45.180 as source from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's circle tell us.
00:02:49.440 You know, they were just dragged into this.
00:02:51.260 Blake Lively tried to get support from both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon to watch her cut of the movie
00:02:57.600 and to even push her cut of the movie to Sony,
00:03:00.600 which is something she proclaimed in a text message later on that Matt Damon actually did.
00:03:06.240 Now he doesn't want to be a part of this.
00:03:08.460 And a source is saying that there's a sense of why am I being dragged into this?
00:03:14.040 It's created unnecessary stress and irritation and people feel like it's becoming a black hole.
00:03:20.980 Even those who have nothing to do with it are worried about getting mentioned or dragged into public speculation.
00:03:27.880 I mean, you can't blame these people.
00:03:29.520 They also mention here that group chat that Ryan Reynolds had with Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana,
00:03:36.340 where he said that they should watch Blake Lively's version of It Ends With Us that Ryan Reynolds wrote.
00:03:42.640 In response, Damon said that I'll help in any way I can.
00:03:46.540 He was just being nice and polite.
00:03:48.980 And according to a source, Damon and Luciana aren't close friends with Lively, it says there.
00:03:54.480 And while they have been supportive throughout the whole situation, they don't love that their texts are public.
00:04:00.200 They're making sure that we know that they're not close friends with either Blake or Ryan.
00:04:06.040 That's also something that Ben Affleck said a couple of days ago.
00:04:10.740 He also said that or a source close to him said that Ben Affleck is not friends with Blake.
00:04:15.880 They're not close friends.
00:04:17.000 So the fact that she actually reached out to these people who aren't really friends even, I mean, yeah.
00:04:22.940 Anyways, this article also mentioned how Ben Affleck didn't respond to her.
00:04:26.600 This is not great for Blake Lively, this article at all.
00:04:29.320 And a source here is saying that he was filming and was busy, adding that they don't believe he saw the film ahead of time.
00:04:36.140 And Lopez, Jennifer Lopez, who he was married to at the time, said she didn't even know this was happening at the time and wants no involvements.
00:04:46.060 She has no affiliation with Blake or the film.
00:04:49.560 Everyone is like, please keep us out of this.
00:04:52.600 We want nothing to do with this drama.
00:04:55.280 Then they talk about Jamila Jamil, the actress, model, feminist who was also dragged into this by Blake Lively,
00:05:01.300 who demanded that her text messages to Justin Baldoni's publicist would be unsealed and unredacted.
00:05:08.540 So her name would become public when she was trashing Blake Lively in some text messages.
00:05:13.840 And this really annoyed Jamila, who went out publicly and said,
00:05:17.300 I said those things in confidence to a friend in a text message and I'm allowed to do that.
00:05:22.200 I had nothing to do with it, she said.
00:05:23.860 And the only reason for Blake Lively to unredact my name in that text message was just to hurt me.
00:05:30.180 Yeah, not giving Blake a good look here, especially attacking an outspoken feminist and activist like Jamila.
00:05:38.560 I mean, it's so stupid.
00:05:40.240 And then another source here from the industry is saying that a growing sentiment is that the situation has crossed from a private dispute into an industry-wide headache.
00:05:51.920 So true.
00:05:52.940 I was just walking Oscar, my dog, today and I met my neighbor who's an editor.
00:05:57.900 And we were talking about this and she was like, if she wins this lawsuit, if Blake would be to win this lawsuit, it would change everything in Hollywood.
00:06:06.400 It would be a nightmare for movie making.
00:06:09.700 So, of course, no one in Hollywood wants her to win this lawsuit.
00:06:13.920 Another source from Lively's side here apparently says that people in Hollywood have been distancing themselves from Blake and Ryan.
00:06:20.280 Even close friends of theirs have been keeping their heads down and staying neutral.
00:06:26.740 A source close to the matter emphasized that Lively's private texts were only unsealed because Baldoni's team submitted them as evidence.
00:06:34.180 Yeah, of course she wouldn't unseal her own text messages.
00:06:37.760 That wouldn't be very smart.
00:06:39.760 And a PR expert here called Mark Borkowski says that no one wants to be an accessory in someone else's legal psychodrama.
00:06:47.220 Ooh, psychodrama he's calling this.
00:06:50.060 Adding that for the stars who've been dragged into it, their reputational risk is minimal, but their irritation level will be off the charts.
00:06:58.760 Yes, they're losing a lot of friends over this.
00:07:01.260 There's no doubt about it.
00:07:03.000 And then they've spoken to some legal experts and one of them here is a senior lawyer.
00:07:06.800 She's called Rachel Bennett.
00:07:08.580 And she's saying that Lively and Swift's conversations, some of these text messages, exchanges that we've just been, that just were released, could undermine her claims that there was some kind of imbalance of power there.
00:07:22.420 Definitely.
00:07:23.500 And they're saying here that they're not really close friends anymore and that Taylor might not invite her to her wedding.
00:07:29.020 I think that's quite clear that she's not going to Taylor Swift's wedding.
00:07:32.300 And then, of course, we have some quotes from Sigrid McCowley, Blake Lively's new attorney, who turns out to just be a PR person.
00:07:42.580 As you know, she was representing some of Jeffrey's victims.
00:07:46.780 I'm not going to say his last name on this channel because apparently YouTube doesn't like that.
00:07:51.480 But she was representing some of this man's Jeffrey and all those crazy files that have been released lately, some of his victims.
00:07:59.440 And according to Without a Crystal Ball, she posted on Instagram the other day that she had found correspondence between these victims talking about Sigrid and her firm.
00:08:11.340 And several victims are accusing Sigrid of misconduct, ethical violation, coercion and deception related to the civil lawsuit.
00:08:21.200 So she was representing all these victims in this lawsuit.
00:08:24.340 And one of the biggest betrayals the victim expressed is the email related to her law firm representing Harvey Weinstein.
00:08:33.300 So Sigrid's law firm apparently also represented Harvey Weinstein.
00:08:38.580 And they were accused of pressuring the victims and dig up dirt about them to discredit them as victims against Harvey.
00:08:46.620 Yeah, so that's Sigrid for you.
00:08:48.500 Anyway, she's saying in this article that the evidence also documents how Wayfair refused to investigate, but instead attempted to bury Ms. Lively and others who spoke up through retaliation.
00:09:01.860 The newly unsealed evidence contains never-before-seen testimony, messages and evidence from numerous eyewitnesses backing the claims in Ms. Lively's lawsuit.
00:09:11.400 Well, I think what the latest dump of evidence really show is that Blake Lively has no evidence.
00:09:16.520 But anyways, then Justin Baldoni's lawyer here is also coming out with a statement saying that,
00:09:23.280 As stated all along and reflected in our client's motions, as well as in messages from Sony discussing Ms. Lively's behaviors,
00:09:32.620 the evidence does not support the claims as a matter of law.
00:09:37.420 He's saying that she's not proving anything with this evidence.
00:09:41.060 There's nothing unlawful here.
00:09:42.980 And he says a simply read at the newly released message exchanges make the truth abundantly clear.
00:09:50.100 We remain confident in the legal process and clearing the names of all the Justin Baldoni's parties.
00:09:56.780 And then I talk a little bit more about all these text messages and what it says about Blake and the power she had and the power she gained.
00:10:03.620 And then it says here that Lively, meanwhile, has been laying low, only hanging out with her family and trying to take care of herself,
00:10:12.580 says a source close to the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
00:10:16.040 She wants this to be over more than anyone.
00:10:19.100 But the thing is, it's really easy for Blake Lively to end this.
00:10:22.620 It's as simple as that.
00:10:23.780 She can just drop the charges.
00:10:25.660 And it says here that Ryan has been very supportive behind the scenes.
00:10:28.940 And it ends here with this PR expert.
00:10:31.160 Her name is Eleanor McManus.
00:10:32.620 And she's saying that Lively will have to rebuild trust and remind people why they were drawn to her in the first place once the dust settles.
00:10:42.220 And then a Lively source says at the end, Blake does worry about the industry's perception of her after this.
00:10:48.540 Well, OK, if she reads this article, I think she's going to be even more nervous.
00:10:55.120 Anyways, this was interesting.
00:10:56.780 I love that they found so many sources in this article.
00:10:59.260 So, yeah, finally, some balanced reporting here.
00:11:02.040 Also, as I mentioned, now the media is bringing up that Scarlett Johansson all of a sudden was dragged into this.
00:11:08.180 You know that she was married to Ryan Reynolds when he met Blake Lively.
00:11:12.940 Anyways, before I get into that and before I get into these text messages between Blake Lively and Sony,
00:11:20.600 I wanted to thank the sponsor of this video, Quinze.
00:11:24.540 OK, so I have a confession to make.
00:11:26.940 I love online shopping.
00:11:29.480 And lately, I've been really intentional about what I bring into my home and what I bring into my wardrobe.
00:11:34.920 I'm trying to stick with fewer things but better things.
00:11:37.980 And that's exactly why I love Quinze.
00:11:40.580 I use it for my everyday essentials and pieces that I really love to live in.
00:11:45.540 For example, this lovely shirt that I'm wearing today.
00:11:48.460 It was only $39.
00:11:50.540 And this gold necklace that I got a while ago that I love to stack up with other necklaces as well.
00:11:56.100 I just love simple, timeless pieces and things that instantly make me feel like I look put together without trying too hard.
00:12:04.520 Whether I'm filming like this or I'm out and about in my day,
00:12:07.720 Quinze just makes it easy to look polished and comfortable at the same time.
00:12:12.280 I really like that Quinze has everything covered.
00:12:15.580 Everything from luxury, soft Mongolian cashmere that feels like designer but without that markup.
00:12:23.360 They have breathable bamboo bedding that stays cool all night.
00:12:27.460 And even professional grade kitchen essentials.
00:12:30.560 Everything is made from premium materials and designed to last.
00:12:34.280 Quinze is able to do this by working directly with top tier manufacturers and cutting out the middleman.
00:12:40.920 And something else that really matters to me is that they only work with factories who follow ethical and responsible manufacturing practices.
00:12:48.640 So go to quinze.com slash kiashti my name for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns.
00:12:56.780 Now available in Canada too.
00:12:59.300 That's Q-U-I-N-C-E dot com slash kiashti my name to get free shipping and 365 day returns.
00:13:10.560 Quinze.com slash kiashti.
00:13:12.660 Okay, so this is quite funny actually.
00:13:14.220 So this is a story in Us Weekly that also the New York Post picked up.
00:13:18.240 It's funny because content creators all over the place were talking about this four months ago when this recording was released.
00:13:25.080 But for some reason the media didn't pick it up until now.
00:13:28.360 And the audio here that they're referencing where Scarlett Johansson is mentioned is an audio that was recorded by someone called Claire Ayoub.
00:13:37.140 She's a first-time director that the Wayfair Party supported.
00:13:41.320 They produced her movie and they funded her movie.
00:13:45.240 And then she decided to record this phone call she had with Steve Sarowitz, who is the billionaire who also founded Wayfair Studios.
00:13:53.960 So out of the blue, here she comes four months ago with a sworn statement saying that she's also a victim of Justin Baldoni because he was being verbally abusive towards her when she did this movie with them.
00:14:09.100 She said that she did not allow him to come to her sets and then he was not allowed to be part of the marketing.
00:14:15.180 It turns out, if we should trust Justin Baldoni's deposition, that no one at Wayfair parties ever knew about this.
00:14:22.740 She didn't mention it to anyone.
00:14:24.740 And Justin was like, I came to the set all along.
00:14:27.480 I was kind of a mentor to her.
00:14:29.460 And the only time we had a disagreement was when Claire Ayoub asked us to double the budget for this movie.
00:14:36.100 We said no.
00:14:37.500 I was pretty firm about it, Justin said, because we've given her a budget to run with.
00:14:42.460 And we said, no, you can't go over budget.
00:14:44.860 And that really annoyed Claire Ayoub.
00:14:47.120 So then she decided to give Blake Lively a call and say, hey, I have this recording with Steve Sarowitz.
00:14:53.240 Maybe you can use this as evidence that they are threatening to harm you.
00:14:58.540 Everyone had listened to this audio, was like, wow, what a nice person Steve Sarowitz is.
00:15:04.240 He is so calm throughout this entire conversation.
00:15:07.520 He doesn't say anything bad about Blake.
00:15:10.540 He doesn't say anything bad about the situation, except that Justin is completely heartbroken over it.
00:15:17.020 And he's saying to Claire that if they go after them any further, he would be ready and call his attorneys.
00:15:23.740 That is the threat that Blake Lively used against the Wayfair parties, that they would defend themselves with attorneys.
00:15:31.140 Anyways, in this recording, he also says that we worked with Scarlett Johansson recently.
00:15:36.960 She's a first time director and it was such a joy to work with her.
00:15:41.460 He's saying that she was so cool, calm and collected and confident and nice.
00:15:46.760 And then he said, it's so interesting because you work with so many people.
00:15:51.320 Almost everybody is nice.
00:15:53.780 And then there's Blake.
00:15:56.100 She's totally different than anyone else.
00:15:58.320 Not to say anything bad about her, but she's different.
00:16:01.360 After everything that she put them through, he's just saying that I'm not going to say anything bad about her, but she's different.
00:16:10.920 And then you read Ryan Reynolds' text messages and what he says about Justin Baldoni.
00:16:14.920 I mean, this is so clear to me that these people are just nice people.
00:16:19.000 I mean, the way this whole thing backfired on Blake and especially on Claire Ayoub.
00:16:25.500 He was given this opportunity from someone who wanted to finance her movie, which no one else wanted.
00:16:30.700 And then she's throwing them under the bus like this and recording them in secret and then leaks it to their like enemy.
00:16:37.560 I mean, who does that?
00:16:39.120 Anyways, what this evidence really shows is that these people are really decent people.
00:16:44.300 He also said in this recording, I think for the most part, most people see what we're doing.
00:16:50.140 See, we're nice and they're nice back.
00:16:53.520 Even if they weren't perfectly nice, I just think some people forgot to learn how to be nice.
00:16:59.340 That's the horrible thing he said about Blake.
00:17:01.700 She forgot how to be nice.
00:17:03.120 And now it's all over media.
00:17:04.720 And again, Blake Lively's evidence keeps backfiring on her.
00:17:10.320 And of course, everyone knows that she met Ryan Reynolds while he was still married to Scarlett Johansson.
00:17:17.020 They shot the Green Lantern together while he was married.
00:17:20.500 Their official story is, of course, that they didn't start dating until Ryan divorced Scarlett.
00:17:26.700 But yeah, I don't know.
00:17:28.960 It's up to everyone to speculate what happened there.
00:17:31.840 Anyways, let's get into these text messages between Blake Lively and Josh Greenstein from Sony.
00:17:38.780 I received DMs and emails from so many people who are saying,
00:17:43.400 look, it is evidence here that Blake Lively's cut scored higher than Justin Baldoni's cut.
00:17:50.120 So I wanted to look a bit more into this because, as you know,
00:17:53.340 Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni had some kind of bake-off at the end of this production.
00:18:00.080 But what's important to remember here is why they had this bake-off.
00:18:05.500 And that's what all these pro-Blake Lively supporters are forgetting.
00:18:09.260 The reason they had this bake-off is not because Justin Baldoni made a bad movie
00:18:14.740 and Sony stepped in to try and save it and they asked Blake Lively for help.
00:18:20.560 No.
00:18:21.240 The reason for this bake-off is because Blake Lively said,
00:18:24.960 if I am not allowed to have my own edit of this movie, I will not promote it.
00:18:30.140 She pressured Sony into agreeing to this.
00:18:34.660 And that's what this is all about.
00:18:36.720 It's not about her trying again and again and again and again to score higher than Justin Baldoni's cut.
00:18:43.540 She was hired to be an actress.
00:18:45.700 If all actors and actresses in Hollywood who say yes to a movie role end up not liking the cut of the movie,
00:18:53.760 they can't go to the studio and to the director and say,
00:18:57.900 you know what, I'm going to make my own version of this movie
00:19:00.300 and if it scores higher than the director's, you have to pick mine.
00:19:04.120 I mean, she had no power to do that.
00:19:06.480 That's not how it works.
00:19:08.720 She was there to act and only act.
00:19:12.440 And now looking through Josh Greenstein's deposition and these text messages,
00:19:17.560 it's so clear what Blake Lively is doing and how she's using both Colleen Hoover and Taylor Swift
00:19:25.740 and even Bradley Cooper to persuade Sony to go for her cut.
00:19:30.840 So this is a text exchange between Blake and Josh Greenstein, as I said, in May of 2024.
00:19:39.080 Josh is saying,
00:19:39.940 So he's saying to Blake,
00:19:57.380 even if you score six points or seven points lower than Justin,
00:20:03.100 we will still go with your cut.
00:20:06.020 Why?
00:20:06.460 Do they not want the best movie to be out there?
00:20:09.940 Apparently not.
00:20:11.200 Then Blake says,
00:20:12.240 I beat him in the F and F by three points.
00:20:15.900 Indefinite recommend already.
00:20:18.000 And his cut is plus because I had more time.
00:20:21.760 Do they find out tonight?
00:20:23.580 How does that work?
00:20:24.700 So it seems like they already had another screening here where they first showed Justin's cut
00:20:29.840 and then they showed Blake's cut.
00:20:32.380 And she's so curious to find out how much her cut scored.
00:20:35.960 And Josh is saying,
00:20:36.880 I'll find out first and text you.
00:20:39.000 They will find out when they get home tonight.
00:20:41.480 We are emailing everyone.
00:20:43.600 And Blake says here later on,
00:20:45.300 Amazing, can't wake up with this behind us.
00:20:48.260 I'm guessing she's saying can't wait till this is behind us.
00:20:51.300 We have very exciting work to do that will pay off.
00:20:55.380 Something's got,
00:20:56.300 someone's got to babysit their whole crew from grabbing a tablet and voting.
00:21:01.420 So she's worried that someone from the crew is going to vote for his version or something.
00:21:05.340 I'm not sure what that means.
00:21:07.060 But this is where I get interesting.
00:21:08.740 This is at 2.30 a.m. by the way.
00:21:12.020 I mean, in the middle of the night that he is texting Blake the score.
00:21:17.340 And he's saying tonight's top line scores.
00:21:20.480 And he's saying that Blake's version scored 48% excellent.
00:21:26.440 And he's comparing it to Justin's score, which is 56% excellent.
00:21:32.160 Meaning that he scored higher than Blake.
00:21:36.320 Then 83% top two, which is, I'm not sure what it is.
00:21:42.600 But what it says here is that Justin's cut scored 85 top two, which is two points more than Blake.
00:21:48.600 Then he says that def, definitely recommend.
00:21:52.040 I think that means def rec is 62% for Blake's cut and 66% for Justin's cut.
00:21:59.420 So on every point, his cut is better than hers.
00:22:02.960 Then 25 minutes later, this is 2.55 a.m.
00:22:06.680 These people never sleep.
00:22:08.100 He's also forwarding some more research from the head of research.
00:22:13.800 So he's comparing the latest screening, her screening, with Justin saying that the relationship
00:22:18.880 between Lily and Ryle is down 6 points to 38%, the lowest rating of all elements.
00:22:26.640 So the audience is not liking Blake's version of the relationship between Ryle and Lily.
00:22:34.340 Also, relationship between young Lily and young Atlas is down 6 points.
00:22:40.140 And he's pointing out that there's one less flashback scene now.
00:22:43.560 And then he says the drama is rated 27 points lower.
00:22:47.780 We need to read the cards to see why.
00:22:50.700 And then the romance is rated 18 points lower.
00:22:54.340 The beginning is moving too fast by 5 points.
00:22:57.620 And the ending is moving too fast by 7 points.
00:23:00.560 Confusion is up 3 points.
00:23:02.640 And then he says, we'll have to read the cards to see what these younger females are saying
00:23:07.680 about the beginning and ending as well as what the confusion is.
00:23:12.080 And then Blake is obviously not excited about this.
00:23:15.500 And she says, spoke to Colleen Hoover.
00:23:18.060 She feels like I do.
00:23:19.880 Still full steam ahead with my cut.
00:23:23.400 I asked her to text you as well so you're not taking my word for it.
00:23:27.360 She's basically saying that I'll ask her to also put pressure on you so you will pick my cut.
00:23:33.360 Blake continues at 4 a.m.
00:23:36.580 Also, I think it's important for them and everyone to know I'm not going to unalive myself anymore for this to be in a state of limbo.
00:23:44.900 So this isn't a punt of a decision until the next test with the next round of scores.
00:23:53.540 Colleen and I are declaring now this is the cut.
00:23:58.200 We will work to improve this cut.
00:24:00.780 But Colleen said tonight,
00:24:02.860 I would rather have your cut exactly as is be released than his cut.
00:24:08.260 Even with the lower numbers, I don't like his cuts.
00:24:12.760 So Colleen says she doesn't care about the audience.
00:24:15.520 It's more important for her to support Blake than what the audience actually thinks of the movie.
00:24:22.280 And then Blake says,
00:24:23.360 And you know how I feel about this.
00:24:24.740 I believe this is far better, more elevated and most evergreen version of the film.
00:24:29.480 And quality to me always wins.
00:24:32.160 So Blake says that her movie is better because the quality is better,
00:24:36.640 but the audience doesn't understand it.
00:24:38.640 The audience is just dumb.
00:24:40.100 And she says his movie is very young adult, very lifetime young adult,
00:24:43.780 which is why I'm sure it's resonating with younger people.
00:24:47.020 That makes sense to me.
00:24:48.560 I try to wash all the sweaty young adult off the movie because to Colleen's point,
00:24:54.160 this isn't a young adult book.
00:24:56.940 So that's why she added all those jokes from Ryan Reynolds,
00:25:00.620 all those stupid, dumb jokes.
00:25:03.640 Probably.
00:25:04.700 That said, I can and will get our numbers up.
00:25:07.180 I love getting the booklet and the keys to the kingdom as to how to improve.
00:25:12.220 This is an opportunity that Wayfair never gave me.
00:25:15.140 So I'm happy to be able to be perspective and clear about where to improve.
00:25:20.120 I can't wait.
00:25:21.820 I just need an editor and also to know that it's done.
00:25:25.640 It's done from my perspective, from Colleen's and from Taylor's.
00:25:31.340 And from Sony's?
00:25:32.580 Question mark?
00:25:33.620 I mean, prescriptive, not perspective, she says.
00:25:37.200 So she loves getting the key to this kingdom.
00:25:41.240 She wasn't given that opportunity.
00:25:43.360 Well, that's because she wasn't the director of the movie.
00:25:46.640 That's because she was hired as an actress.
00:25:49.040 And that's why she wasn't given that opportunity.
00:25:51.220 But then she's also dragging Taylor Swift back into it, saying that also Taylor loves this.
00:25:59.400 This is the version that Taylor would choose.
00:26:02.140 And she is the biggest pop star in the world, in case you forgot.
00:26:06.640 That text was sent at 6.29 a.m.
00:26:10.100 And then she's on it again at 8.53 a.m.
00:26:13.380 She didn't sleep anything.
00:26:15.280 She says, I'm mortified to send you a five-minute voice memo, but I'm about to take off and won't be able to speak for eight hours or so.
00:26:22.100 Blah, blah, blah.
00:26:22.680 She's flying somewhere.
00:26:24.040 And then they're talking about finding a good editor for her.
00:26:26.980 So Josh is saying, Alan, previous editor, is not coming back.
00:26:31.900 I wonder why.
00:26:33.080 He has a wedding he's not missing.
00:26:35.280 John asking our SNL producer if we can borrow Shane, their editor for four days, Deadpool editor who worked with Blake on cut before.
00:26:43.880 I don't know why he's talking about Blake in third person here, if this is something that he sent to someone else.
00:26:49.380 But anyways, he's saying Deadpool editor who worked with Blake on cut before.
00:26:54.480 So she already worked with Shane Levy on some cuts.
00:26:59.060 And we know he's BFF with Ryan.
00:27:01.280 They did Deadpool together.
00:27:02.860 So it obviously makes a lot of sense.
00:27:05.080 He also is the one who called Justin Baldoni and said, you should give Blake whatever she wants.
00:27:10.380 You don't know her well enough, but I'm giving you this advice as a friend.
00:27:14.100 Just give her everything she asks for.
00:27:16.640 Anyways, they're saying she loved him and he knows movie.
00:27:20.340 That would be a win.
00:27:21.540 So I think Josh is just forwarding something that he had sent to someone else there.
00:27:26.120 But anyways, Blake says, thank you so much.
00:27:29.040 Bradley, Bradley Cooper, has someone he's reached out to as well.
00:27:32.860 She's an assistant editor, but he said she's great.
00:27:36.300 I followed up with Jack to send the analysis.
00:27:39.180 Dying to read on the plane, so I'm caught up when we speak.
00:27:42.140 I've been going through the cards.
00:27:43.920 So now she's dragging Bradley Cooper back into this.
00:27:46.820 She's just grabbing onto whatever she can get to make her movie the best version.
00:27:53.660 Josh is here confirming that he spoke to Colleen Hoover and everything's good.
00:27:58.520 So now they're just scrambling to get this up to a certain amount of points and percentage
00:28:04.220 so they can keep her cut.
00:28:06.640 And as we learned from the beginning of this text thread,
00:28:10.140 it doesn't matter if it still scores less than Justin as long as it's just six percentage
00:28:15.840 points from his version.
00:28:18.420 In his deposition, Josh Greenstein admits that he chose this version even though it tested
00:28:25.180 lower because it was more important for him to make Colleen Hoover happy.
00:28:30.060 The lawyer here is asking,
00:28:31.560 how did you consider Miss Hoover's opinion in deciding what cut of the film to be released?
00:28:36.300 And he said, I would say it had a big, big sway.
00:28:41.820 And the attorney is asking even more than testing metrics.
00:28:46.580 And he says, I don't know if I'd say more, but on par.
00:28:50.820 If she had a real problem with something that was in the film, we would have a major problem.
00:28:57.760 So Sony admits that they went for the cut that scored lower to make Blake and Colleen happy.
00:29:05.300 And Taylor, apparently.
00:29:07.500 Something else that's been unsealed are all of Colleen Hoover's notes to Sony.
00:29:12.800 All the things that she wanted changed in the movie.
00:29:16.120 It's so interesting how she accused Justin of keeping her out of the loop.
00:29:20.760 First of all, she sold the rights to a movie.
00:29:23.220 When you sell the rights to a movie, you don't have much rights left.
00:29:26.640 She was an executive producer on the film.
00:29:28.920 So if she had opinions, people would listen to her.
00:29:31.980 But she didn't have any power over anything.
00:29:34.580 She didn't have any final say in anything.
00:29:38.140 But she sent this list of notes to Sony, which are like little nitpicks about camera angles and all these things she wanted to say in every little part of this movie.
00:29:50.300 So she's also overstepping her authority on every level here.
00:29:55.660 And of course, as we now know, she helped Blake Lively get her version of the movie out there.
00:30:00.460 So to all those Blake Lively supporters who are trying to make this seem normal, that Sony would create a bake-off between an actress in a movie and the director and the production company of the movie, I mean, what planet are you living on?
00:30:17.480 Do you think that's normal?
00:30:19.080 Blake admits here that she's not interested in what's best for this movie.
00:30:23.680 She's only interested in having her cut of the movie shown for audiences.
00:30:29.000 And she's willing to do anything to make that happen.
00:30:32.900 Anyways, that's it for me, you guys.
00:30:35.040 I hope you enjoyed this episode.
00:30:36.520 Thank you so much for watching.
