00:08:16.620 that was just scrapped. Then Deadline did a story about it back then, saying Aura Nozeal stepping
00:08:22.940 into write Ryan Reynolds' Clue movie at 20th Century Studios. Then nothing happened for two
00:08:30.380 years then by early 2024 Hasbro who owned the IP for Clue for the board game Clue regained control
00:08:42.100 of the screen rights and then they started shopping it around to other studios and then
00:08:48.300 in April of 2024 Sony TriStar Pictures and Sony Pictures Television acquired new film and
00:08:56.520 television rights to the film. They did not invite Ryan Reynolds and Maximum Effort to come along on
00:09:06.300 the ride. So what happened around April of 2024? I mean, if you follow the It Ends With Us drama,
00:09:15.680 you know it was boiling at that point. At that point, we've seen text messages between Sony
00:09:24.180 executives calling Blake Lively a terrorist. Already in late 2023, when Blake Lively sent
00:09:31.740 this 17-point list, as you might remember, to get Justin Baldoni to sign and Jamie Heath to sign,
00:09:38.080 she called Blake an effing terrorist back then. And then it was repeated in March of 2024
00:09:46.820 by Sony motion picture group president Sanford Panitch.

00:09:55.880 because she demanded to get her own cut of the movie.
