00:00:00.000 At this point, Ryan Reynolds' takeover of It Ends With Us was complete.
00:00:09.940 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Sashley Floor, journalist, Hollywood truth teller,
00:00:14.300 and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion. I'm finally over the jet lag and I
00:00:20.560 feel great. This week is going to be amazing and I'll keep you updated on everything that happens
00:00:25.480 in the Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni drama,
00:00:28.880 although, as you know, they've settled
00:00:30.420 and things have calmed down a little bit,
00:00:32.300 but I will still keep you posted on everything
00:00:34.720 that goes on in that world
00:00:36.200 because as so many of you mentioned to me,
00:00:38.380 these people need to take accountability
00:00:40.000 for what they have done.
00:00:41.700 And right now, it seems like they're just living their life
00:00:44.400 like nothing happened and there's no consequences for them.
00:00:48.420 But at least now we know why Blake Lively
00:00:50.440 kept popping up in different locations in New York last week.
00:00:54.480 She went to the Fendi event in a store, such a random thing, like a celebration of the baguette
00:01:00.540 bag last week. And also she went to a jewelry store. And now we know the reason why. Her new
00:01:07.920 strategy is so obvious. This is really interesting. Also in this episode, I wanted to go through more
00:01:15.140 of that article that I mentioned last week as well, where this amazing reporter has gone through
00:01:20.600 the timeline of events and done so much research to find out how Ryan Reynolds hijacked It Ends
00:01:29.500 with Us and why he did it and how he used Blake Lively, his wife, to help him do it. So now we
00:01:37.160 have all the answers to why and how. This is truly, truly disturbing. Also, I have to mention
00:01:44.540 that I will start talking about other things as well this week. One of the guests that I will
00:01:48.800 have here on my show hopefully if we make it work is Dean Guzman. He has helped free so many beagles
00:01:57.400 from test laboratories in the U.S. and now he's facing 31 years in prison and he has agreed to
00:02:06.020 come on here and talk about it. Such an important case and something really close to my heart which
00:02:11.840 is of course animal rights. I am such a dog lover as you know I have my little dog as well
00:02:16.800 And my heart bleeds every time I hear about any cruelty against animals.
00:02:22.240 Also this week, I'll do a deep dive into the Rebel Wilson case.
00:02:25.580 There's so much going on there.
00:02:27.340 One of the defamation lawsuits against Rebel Wilson was just over a few weeks ago.
00:02:32.780 But we're still waiting for the judge to do a ruling on that.
00:02:36.020 But there's so much more in that case that's coming up.
00:02:39.640 There's so many similarities to that case and to Blake Lively's case.
00:02:44.540 So yes, get ready for a week with a lot of different content.
00:02:48.900 Anyways, before I start, a big congratulations to Jennifer Abel, Justin Valdoni's publicist.
00:02:55.580 She just received the PR Strategist of the Year Award.
00:03:01.820 I'm so happy to hear that her new company, RWA Communication, is so successful.
00:03:07.320 And I bet you this really infuriates Leslie Sloan, Blake Loyalist, publicist, and also 0.98
00:03:13.280 Stephanie Jones, who is currently in a legal feud with Jennifer Abel. As you know, Jennifer Abel, 0.84
00:03:20.500 it was her phone that ended up in the New York Times with those text messages that were leaked
00:03:25.400 there. So it's so amazing to see that she's still trusted in the industry and she just received this
00:03:31.220 award. So congratulations to Jennifer Abel. Okay, so let's look at this report from Rob Shooter.
00:03:37.180 This is quite interesting and it makes so much sense to me.
00:03:41.200 He's saying Blake Lively's carefully staged comeback tour
00:03:44.820 is all about the photos, not the questions.
00:03:49.220 Blake Lively is carefully orchestrating her Hollywood comeback.
00:03:53.500 An insider said every appearance is part of a calculated image reset
00:03:57.800 designed to keep the focus on glamour, not controversy.
00:04:02.680 And Rob Shooter is saying here that sources have told him
00:04:05.360 that Blake has been selectively attending intimate, tightly controlled events with approved
00:04:11.560 photographers and limited press access while steering clear of live interviews or unpredictable
00:04:18.600 media questions. That didn't even cross my mind, but of course that is why she's going to these
00:04:25.620 small events. There are no journalists there asking her questions. There are pre-approved
00:04:31.540 photographers who only take photos of her that will end up in some magazine articles saying,
00:04:38.020 look at Blake Wively's style. Doesn't she look amazing? And it really worked because a lot of 0.99
00:04:42.720 these photos, as you've seen on Instagram and on all these like fashion magazines, there are
00:04:48.340 pictures of Blake Wively from these events. An insider is saying, hey, Blake knows exactly how
00:04:53.900 powerful a perfect photograph can be. A stunning image creates conversation without creating risk.
00:04:59.660 photos don't ask different follow-up questions so true according to sources the strategy quietly
00:05:07.720 kicked off at this year's Met Gala where Blake dazzled in couture dominated social media and
00:05:13.380 generated massive buzz all while avoiding substantive press interviews as you know
00:05:19.340 she only did one interview and where she said that oh I'm so shy and my kids drew on this bag
00:05:25.760 and that was probably pre-approved and she didn't answer any questions about anything else and no
00:05:32.600 journalist had any access to her and if any of the paparazzis knew about her whereabouts when she was 0.74
00:05:39.160 going to these stores of course they would have shouted a question at her and of course no matter
00:05:45.220 if she would have answered it or not they would have made a story about it and this is how she's
00:05:50.780 avoiding that but still gets press coverage about her looks and her fashion another insider is
00:05:57.520 saying here the mission is very deliberate they want audiences talking about how incredible she
00:06:02.820 looks not revisiting old narratives well they're not succeeding in that yet because i think most
00:06:09.500 of the conversations that i've seen online has been about this old narrative that she's trying
00:06:16.820 to cover up now the thing is it's working in traditional media but social media is not eating
00:06:23.100 it up and social media is all that matters these days something again that blake lively forgets
00:06:30.020 and here they have some other source from some friends or something i don't know what that means
00:06:35.200 but it says friends say blake believes public opinion in hollywood can shift quickly when stars
00:06:40.800 flood the culture with aspirational fashion moments viral images and carefully curated
00:06:46.480 public appearances. Still not everyone is convinced the makeover strategy alone will
00:06:52.580 fully work. I hope not but I would not be surprised if she keeps doing these appearances to just
00:06:58.700 flood the internet with just fluff pieces about what she's wearing and I just hope that people 0.71
00:07:04.820 will keep the momentum up about this so no one forgets what she actually did. But as you know
00:07:10.880 something I also reported on is how she is trying to rebuild her image through her social media. 0.99
00:07:18.000 Now it's all about kindness and lifting other women up. And in her free time, she goes to store 0.99
00:07:24.220 openings to show off herself in different outfits, smiling, being so nice and polite to everyone
00:07:30.840 there. So yeah, let's see what she's going to be up to this week. Anyways, let's talk more about
00:07:35.540 this article because this is so fascinating. This is such an amazing job done by this journalist
00:07:42.340 Eumonia Dyke. That is not her real name or his real name. I'm calling this person a her just
00:07:48.540 for the sake of it. I don't know if it is a woman or a man. This person does not want her identity 0.87
00:07:54.920 revealed for probably obvious reasons. She has a lot of knowledge from the industry and a lot of
00:08:02.480 inside info here. So I'm not going to speculate in who this person is. I've seen some content
00:08:08.780 creators do that, but I think it's much better to just leave that alone. I went into a fraction
00:08:14.340 of this article last week when I spoke about how Ryan Reynolds used Ezra Hudson, Blake Lively's,
00:08:20.740 one of Blake Lively's main attorneys, to use this Me Too law to their advantage because she knew a
00:08:28.520 lot about this law. Right now I will go more into details on how Ryan Reynolds step by step took
00:08:35.580 over the movie. The pressure he put on Justin Baldoni through his wife by first using guilt
00:08:43.380 and then using fear to get everything where he wanted it. But he made one major mistake which
00:08:51.640 I will get into later. So according to this reporter the rewrite of the script started one
00:08:57.280 and a half months before they started shooting the film so that was in April of 2023 they started
00:09:04.460 shooting in May 2023 as you know and then they shot for some months and then there was a little
00:09:09.900 break because of the writer's strike and Blake Lively didn't return right after the writer's
00:09:15.880 strike was over she returned after the new year of 2024 which also makes total sense now why she
00:09:23.440 waited another extra month. So on April 6, 2023, Baldoni sent Lively an updated version of the
00:09:31.860 Wayfair script. And the next day, Baldoni received text messages from Lively asking for permission to
00:09:39.160 make edits in the script. She said in a text, you okay if I play around with some of the dialogue
00:09:44.580 to give her a bit more agency and fund and send to you? And continued, we can use some, all or none
00:09:50.680 of it. I just don't want to step on any toes. So as this reporter keeps saying in this article,
00:09:56.940 these text messages that Blake Lively sent to Justin Baldoni about script edits came from her
00:10:03.460 originally, but Ryan Reynolds was the person behind all of it. As some people have picked
00:10:08.760 up on the internet, there's a lot of similarities to the text messages from Blake Lively to Justin
00:10:15.620 Baldoni, as we've seen in some of the leaked text messages or the text messages that we saw
00:10:21.120 in Discovery from Ryan Reynolds to other people in the industry. And some people believe that he
00:10:27.560 actually wrote the text for Blake as well. And the journalist here is pointing out how
00:10:33.140 Ryan Reynolds wrote a text to Warren Zavala, his agent. And in the text, he wrote as he was Blake
00:10:40.700 Lively saying what a mean girl I am and he bites my lip talking about Justin Baldoni as Blake Lively
00:10:50.440 and they say here that Zavala his agent didn't even react to it that he was role-playing so maybe
00:10:56.160 that's something that he usually does and they also point out here that in Blake Lively's PGA
00:11:02.120 letter that she also or they also assume that Ryan Reynolds wrote he also referred to maximum
00:11:08.800 effort as my company, as my production company. A little slip up from Ryan Reynolds there,
00:11:16.160 forgetting that he was actually supposed to be Blake Lively in those PGA letter or in that long
00:11:22.360 PGA letter that went on for pages and pages and pages. Okay, so then we jump to April 8th. This
00:11:28.600 is when Blake receives the first changes to the rooftop scene. And this is also when he receives
00:11:35.340 the text message where Blake Lively says that I'm flirty and yummy, a ball buster, and my love
00:11:42.460 language is spicy and playful, bold, never with teeth. Remember that? She sent to Baldoni. Then
00:11:50.100 already the next day, Baldoni receives another text from Blake saying that, asking him what he
00:11:58.340 thought of the changes that she made to the rooftop scene. And he responded in a voice note that we
00:12:05.220 also heard that he likes it and you know he will try to implement her changes he didn't want to
00:12:12.160 object to everything because he wanted to be on the good side of her but at the same time he's
00:12:17.140 being reluctant to put all these changes in the script and as you know when you've seen some of
00:12:22.060 the changes I've showed them here on my channel a lot of the changes that Ryan Reynolds made
00:12:26.860 made no sense whatsoever and belonged in a Deadpool movie and not in a movie about DV and
00:12:33.520 of course Justin Baldoni flagged that and thought you know this conversation does belong in this
00:12:38.800 kind of movie. Then we jump to April 12th and Blake Lively invites Justin over to her penthouse
00:12:44.140 and guess who's there Taylor Swift and Ryan Reynolds and this is of course when Taylor Swift
00:12:48.960 tells Justin that he should go for Blake Lively's version of the rooftop scene and she loves it so
00:12:56.160 much and at the same meeting Ryan Reynolds was praising his wife as well his wife's writing which
00:13:02.140 we now know that he obviously wrote. And as you know, this is when we saw those text messages
00:13:06.980 between Taylor Swift and Blake, when she calls him a doofus director and a clown, and if she can
00:13:13.560 be so kind as a friend to help her push him into accepting her writing. On that same day,
00:13:21.460 Ryan Reynolds texted Liz Plank, Justin Baldoni's co-host for his podcast. They were still working
00:13:28.480 together on the podcast and we've seen those text messages and ryan is asking you know what's wrong
00:13:33.780 with justin there's something off with him and liz plank agrees at the same time wayfair parties
00:13:40.040 has sent blake lively her contract and as you know she never signed it but she did get paid on the
00:13:46.280 same day justin accepts some of these rooftop changes he said send me the changes again and
00:13:51.480 I'll look at them and later in that same day Blake sent more suggestions to Justin about more changes
00:13:59.500 in the script this time it was about Lily's mother Jenny Bloom I've read those text messages here and
00:14:06.260 Blake kept wanting to change things up and she kept arguing with herself and then she just stopped
00:14:11.960 around 10 p.m it says here the same night and nothing came out of that so now Justin started
00:14:18.320 responding to Blake saying, I need to run this by Christy Hall, the real script writer. I can't
00:14:23.660 just keep making changes to the script without involving her. She's hired to do this job. And
00:14:28.720 then Justin started sharing this with other people, sending them text messages saying that
00:14:33.420 he's worried that she's trying to take control over everything. And then he sends this message
00:14:39.080 to Blake saying, I was working on the rooftop scene today. I really love what you did. It really
00:14:43.960 does help a lot makes it so much more fun and interesting and I would have felt that way without
00:14:49.200 Ryan and Taylor he says so he's acknowledging at this point that Blake is using Ryan and Taylor
00:14:57.380 to pressure him here and the fact that he actually mentioned Taylor that set Ryan and Blake off even
00:15:03.700 more so three hours after that Blake sent him that infamous dragon text I have dragons just you
00:15:12.320 watch yourself they're also mentioning Sean Levy in that text message one of Ryan Reynolds
00:15:18.040 close collaborators and as you know he also called Justin Baldon we haven't heard that phone
00:15:24.180 conversation we maybe never will but telling him how to actually act with Blake Lively and how to
00:15:31.000 maneuver her basically helping Ryan Reynolds with this master plan also a lot of people have
00:15:36.860 speculated if that text message actually came from Ryan Reynolds and I believe it does because we've
00:15:41.640 seen so many times that he is such a Game of Thrones fan. And I don't believe Blake Lively
00:15:46.560 actually watched the show. She hadn't watched the show when she did an interview with Age of Adeline
00:15:51.560 and one of her co-stars was in Game of Thrones and she admitted she hadn't watched it. But Ryan
00:15:56.700 Reynolds has been outspoken about what a big fan he is of the show and that's why he added in
00:16:01.640 Kaleishi and the dragons in the text message that he sent to Justin. So now where he had control over
00:16:09.060 the script, the next step for Ryan Reynolds was to take control over the production itself. As this
00:16:15.520 reporter is saying, Reynolds would have to transform himself from the thief of the project to its
00:16:21.900 savior and Baldoni from the rightful owner to the villain. That's why he hit Baldoni where it hurt
00:16:30.320 him the most, his commitment to gender equality. So then we get to the new chapter of Ryan Reynolds
00:16:36.260 takeover strategy where he weaponizes Blake Lively's gender. And this is where all those
00:16:41.800 SH claims comes in. Of course, he knew about the Man Enough podcast and the books that Justin
00:16:48.140 Baldoni had released. And he knew that this is what would hurt Justin Baldoni the most. And this
00:16:53.660 is also what he would fear the most. So now his new strategy was to make Justin Baldoni feel guilt
00:17:01.700 that he wasn't treating a woman, his wife, the right way.
00:17:06.720 He wasn't listening to her.
00:17:08.700 And after he had implemented all these things to make Justin Baldoni feel guilty for not
00:17:14.700 listening to a woman, he went even further.
00:17:18.860 But before we get into that chapter, a big thank you to the sponsor of this video, Lisa.
00:17:24.740 I was so excited when I received my Lisa mattress before we left for Spain.
00:17:30.420 Honestly, I was so in love with it that I didn't want to leave.
00:17:33.500 It's so soft, so supportive, and so comfortable.
00:17:38.440 For both me and Magnus, it's so important to have a really good mattress,
00:17:41.540 as both of us have back issues.
00:17:43.960 And if it's too hard or if it's too soft, it will just ruin the entire day.
00:17:48.680 I feel the older we get, the more important it is to get the good night's sleep.
00:17:52.980 And it all starts with hygiene in the bedroom.
00:17:55.560 I didn't even realize how much my old mattress was affecting my sleep.
00:18:00.200 When we switched to Lisa, I fell asleep faster, I slept deeper, and I woke up feeling so much
00:18:06.200 more rested.
00:18:07.140 It genuinely feels like a luxury hotel, but at home.
00:18:10.740 What I love about Lisa is that they have different options depending on how you sleep and what
00:18:15.560 you prefer.
00:18:16.340 They even have a quick survey you can take on their website to figure out what suits
00:18:20.820 you and your body best.
00:18:22.640 The mattresses are designed and assembled in the US.
00:18:26.520 They come with free shipping and super easy return, and you have a 120 nights trial period.
00:18:33.200 Lisa is also committed to eco-friendly materials and sustainable manufacturing practices.
00:18:39.580 They also work with local nonprofits across the US and donate mattresses to families in need.
00:18:46.300 So far, they donated over 43,000 mattresses.
00:18:50.580 And this week, they have a memorial sale going on, so you can get up to 30% of select mattresses.
00:18:56.780 Go to Lisa.com for their current offer, plus get an extra $50 off with promo code SHASHTI, my name.
00:19:04.840 Yes, that's exclusive for you as my listeners.
00:19:07.920 That's L-E-E-S-A.com with promo code SHASHTI for their current offer, plus a $50 off.
00:19:15.080 Support my show by saying that I sent you at checkout.
00:19:18.440 that's lisa.com code 60 okay so let's jump back into it so for ryan and lively to make sure
00:19:25.960 that justin baldoni would implement their changes to the scripts or to ryan's changes on the script
00:19:32.620 they needed to make sure that he felt enough pressure to do so and that is when the fat
00:19:38.500 shaming came in so on april 23rd as you know justin baldoni got in touch with don saladino
00:19:46.280 Blake Lively's trainer that she recommended for him to use and Justin asked in confidence about
00:19:52.560 Blake's weight and as you know Justin had a back issue and he was worried about her safety and his
00:19:58.460 own safety and that's why he asked that question and of course Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds used
00:20:02.840 that against him. So on April 25th of 2023 Blake invited Justin to discuss some script notes to
00:20:12.220 her penthouse in New York. And guess who was there to berate Justin for five hours? Ryan Reynolds.
00:20:19.480 Justin has explained this in text messages how traumatizing that was for him when Ryan was
00:20:25.460 basically yelling at him non-stop for five hours. And remember, this was before they even started
00:20:31.700 shooting the movie. So at this point, Justin was just apologizing, although he didn't understand
00:20:38.180 what he had done wrong and at the same meeting Blake and Ryan kept mentioning that they could
00:20:44.240 also find a new actress for the movie but the fact was they had already paid her so they knew
00:20:50.560 that that was impossible. They couldn't just stop the entire production and find a new actress and
00:20:56.340 of course they also had responsibilities for Sony. After that meeting Blake Lively sent a text
00:21:03.400 message saying, I had a three-hour meeting with him today. He got it loud and clear. He audibly
00:21:09.260 sobbed, she said. So there was the guilt. She concluded in that text message, this man is
00:21:16.020 terrified of women. So there was the fear, as this reporter is saying again, Ryan used first guilt
00:21:24.160 and then fear to get Justin Baldoni where he wanted him. So then the shooting starts on May 15
00:21:30.140 of 2023. And Blake and Ryan kept making daily changes to the script. And this is also when
00:21:36.700 the new plan got into action, when they started implementing the fair in Justin Baldoni. And on
00:21:42.540 June 13, Blake starts asking about access to the dailies. You know, the dailies is the raw footage
00:21:49.460 that they shoot every single day. So of course, Ryan wanted to have control over everything,
00:21:55.460 over every shoot also to see if they had actually implemented his changes in the script. Justin
00:22:02.560 wasn't too keen on this sharing the dailies with one of the actresses in the movie that is not a
00:22:07.220 normal thing to do so he resisted doing that and again a month later she keeps asking about the
00:22:14.140 dailies and then there's a text message between Blake and her agent Warren Zavala on August 29
00:22:20.600 so two months later, that she's so furious and she's so frustrated that Baldoni refuses
00:22:27.520 to give her the dailies. To Warren, she said, his entire sales pitch is how collaborative he is and
00:22:34.680 how much he values women. They're all clowns. I have my HR report ready also for your info. 1.00
00:22:41.660 Because Baldoni was resisting, Ryan Reynolds needed to put more pressure on him. And this
00:22:46.360 is when they started twisting those little things that happen on sets into fabricated misdeeds and
00:22:53.300 this is when the sh comes in so at this time they were working on new laws in california
00:22:59.480 the me too law as we now know as 47.1 that law was still not in effect at this time as you know
00:23:08.380 the production shut down i think it was in august or september of 2023 and most productions started
00:23:15.600 again in November, December of the same year. At that point, this law was not in effect. But the
00:23:23.560 governor in California, Gavin Newsom, had signed it on October 10th. So people knew that this law
00:23:31.120 was about to take effect. As you know, Blake and Ryan's attorney, Ezra Hudson, was very well aware
00:23:38.860 of this and she knew exactly how to take advantage of this law. Then on November 9th during the
00:23:45.640 strike Blake Lively sent this 17-point list to Baldoni and the Wayfair parties demanding all
00:23:53.640 these changes of things that basically had not happened but it seemed like from that 17-point
00:24:00.460 list that there was a lot of S-aged and very inappropriate behavior going on on the set.
00:24:05.860 That same day, the strike ended, the writer's strike ended.
00:24:11.000 And the same day, a few hours later, Ryan Reynolds announced that Deadpool and Wolverine would resume filming around Thanksgiving.
00:24:19.960 And later on that day, at 2 p.m., Blake Lively's representative emailed the 17-point list to the Wayfair parties.
00:24:27.000 They had a busy day, the two of them, that day.
00:24:29.280 So obviously, Ryan Reynolds had spent so much time plotting this during the strike.
00:24:35.160 This is when he had time to sit down and figure out the rest of this play to take over the movie.
00:24:41.540 So, of course, the Wayfair parties were completely shocked on Blake Lively's list and her demands.
00:24:46.760 Then she said, I won't resume.
00:24:48.360 I won't come back to shooting unless you implement all of this and you sign this list of 17 points.
00:24:55.400 And, of course, that terrified Sony because they spent so much money or they put so much money into this movie.
00:25:00.780 So they also put pressure on Wayfair parties to sign the deal.
00:25:05.160 with Blake so she could come back and work again. At the same time, they had to agree to send over
00:25:11.840 the dailies and all the creative materials that Blake Lively demanded. And so the Wayfair party
00:25:17.900 sent over the entire script again on November 11th. And then Ryan Reynolds was off to rewrite
00:25:24.620 the entire script. Already on December 6th, the first email came from Blake when she made changes
00:25:30.680 again to the script and then Blake sent email after email after email with changes and as the
00:25:37.480 reporter is saying here no one knew at that time that it was Ryan Reynolds writing all these changes
00:25:44.060 the Wayfair parties didn't know that either the only reason we know that is because Blake Lively
00:25:49.300 told a reporter that on the red carpet as you know she bragged about her husband actually wrote that
00:25:55.580 scene and that was a huge mistake but as this reporter is pointing out here it's so obvious
00:26:01.960 now that we know we can see Ryan Reynolds signature all over the script I've gone through some of the
00:26:08.380 changes some of those that Deadpool language that he used in the script and this reporter is pointing 0.93
00:26:14.040 out one thing specifically saying using the word husk fuck which is a term used by people who likes 0.97
00:26:21.400 to do those things with hairy, hairy people in their hairy areas. 0.98
00:26:25.820 And that same term is also used in the Deadpool movie.
00:26:29.820 It's so obvious that Ryan Reynolds wrote that.
00:26:33.420 And it's so obvious why Justin didn't like that term to be used in a movie about DV.
00:26:38.840 And this is also not a phrase that is very commonly used.
00:26:42.560 And then on December 15th, Blake Lively's representative
00:26:47.500 sent an updated version of that 17 point list that they already agreed to. So why would they
00:26:53.880 send an updated version of the list? And here they're mentioning a text message from Boldoni
00:27:00.120 when he said, everyone knows how I feel about all this and how angry I am at the system. It's so
00:27:06.100 broken. It's letting Blake take over a film and rewrite a movie we spent years developing.
00:27:11.480 I've come to terms with the fact that the only way out is through. I'm waving the white flag
00:27:16.100 in submitting. I'm going to give her 98% of what she wants. I'm sure none of us have the energy to
00:27:22.240 fight anymore. At this point, Ryan Reynolds' takeover of It Ends With Us was complete. He knew
00:27:29.220 that if Baldonio the Wayfair put up any resistance to the next stages of the takeover, Lively could
00:27:35.300 threaten to go public with accusations of SH. Then should Wafair sue Lively for defamation
00:27:42.840 to counter those accusations Lively would have immunity under section 47.1 so Ryan knew that he
00:27:52.300 could get away with this so they're saying here that when Lively sent that 17 point list the first
00:27:58.620 time on November 9th she actually said that she could return to sets already on December 5th of
00:28:06.300 2023. Then the Wayfair parties finally agreed and still Blake's team pushed for the start date for
00:28:13.780 her to come back on December 11th. So at first the Wayfair parties resisted signing this list
00:28:20.160 and when they did, Lively's team pushed for her to come back later on on December 11th and that
00:28:26.600 meant another month of delay, another month of losing money for the Wayfair parties and for Sony.
00:28:31.800 Finally, it says here on November 22nd, the Wayfair parties agreed to the list and they signed it.
00:28:38.720 And when they did that, Blake's team said she won't be available now until January of 2024.
00:28:44.320 And that is when the Me Too law started taking effect.
00:28:48.320 On December 27th, Justin Baldoni received a text message from Blake saying,
00:28:54.120 Come to my penthouse on January 4th because I have some things to discuss with you before I come back on set.
00:29:01.800 He thought it was some script changes.
00:29:03.820 He was not informed what that meeting was about.
00:29:06.560 But instead, as you know, of talking about the next stages of filming,
00:29:10.280 Blake Lively kept reading up this list that they already had seen of the 17 points.
00:29:16.620 She was reading it from her phone out loudly.
00:29:20.920 And as you know, one of the Sony reps was also there.
00:29:23.520 And she was so shocked that this was actually the theme of that meeting
00:29:27.440 because she was also under the impression that they were just going to talk about
00:29:31.140 the rest of the shoot. But this was part of the next trap. This is where Ryan Reynolds attacked
00:29:38.280 Justin Baldoni, demanding an apology from him. According to Jamie Heast, who was also there,
00:29:45.560 Justin didn't apologize at that time. He was just so baffled. He was so in shock by what actually
00:29:51.140 had happened. For him to be pressured like that, to apologize for all these things that actually
00:29:56.360 hadn't happened and at the same time he was pressured to sign this and take accountability
00:30:01.560 for it because that's what Ryan Reynolds needed him to do. He needed him to apologize and take
00:30:07.000 accountability for it because then they had that evidence to use against him that he admitted to
00:30:13.860 these things. If he admitted to this list that would mean legal liability for Justin. As we
00:30:21.640 learned later, this list was, of course, used in the lawsuits as an example of him admitting guilt.
00:30:28.140 During that meeting, Ryan demanded this in writing from Justin, by the way, so that he could have
00:30:34.420 this evidence there and show that, hey, he admitted to doing all these things. So, of course, they
00:30:39.940 needed a fresh signature on this list dated after the Me Too law had taken into effect. Although
00:30:47.800 Justin never apologized in that meeting. Blake and Ryan now have evidence and eyewitnesses that
00:30:54.860 this meeting actually happened at this date. So this could have been the perfect heist for Ryan
00:31:01.620 Reynolds but then he got caught. This was so thoroughly planned from Blake and from Ryan
00:31:08.140 and how Ryan was using his wife to take over this film and she agreed to it. So he was working
00:31:14.560 behind the scenes while she was making sure to turn the entire cast and crew as many as she could
00:31:21.300 against him. And Ryan also knew if any of this would become public that Blake had actually lied
00:31:28.320 and she had hijacked the movie it wouldn't get back to him because he had covered all his tracks
00:31:35.360 perfectly. He was just the supportive husband in the background. The reporter here is pointing out
00:31:41.460 that it's unclear who made the decision for Blake
00:31:44.860 to actually reveal that Ryan wrote that scene.
00:31:49.580 It was not a smart move.
00:31:51.540 It was the biggest slip up of their plan
00:31:54.020 because then they planted the seed
00:31:56.440 that Ryan actually had more to do
00:31:59.200 with everything that had happened.
00:32:00.960 Maybe he just couldn't deal with the fact
00:32:03.100 that the movie was so successful
00:32:05.040 and he wanted to have some credit for it.
00:32:08.240 So he asked his wife to just slip it out there
00:32:10.680 because he's such a narcissist. I'm not sure if it was a mistake from Blake or if it was all
00:32:17.440 planned out. But until that point, everything went as planned. I will get more into the rest
00:32:25.920 of this article later this week as well, because it's so fascinating. Now when we're putting all
00:32:32.720 these little pieces together, it makes so much sense of what actually happened. And I think it
00:32:38.300 really needs to be out there and this journalist has done such an amazing job putting this all
00:32:44.520 together I've had so many questions myself on how and why this happened but reading this now
00:32:52.580 and knowing who Ryan Reynolds really is now that makes all of this make so much sense to me
00:32:58.580 anyways that's it for me today that was a long episode but I really wanted to tell this story
00:33:04.300 so everyone understand what really went on behind the scenes
00:33:07.300 in this takeover of It Ends With Us.
00:33:10.520 I can't believe Justin Baldoni is still standing,
00:33:13.560 what he has gone through, what his family has gone through,
00:33:16.180 what all these other people have gone through
00:33:18.360 after all of this happened and then being sued the way that they did.
00:33:23.440 I mean, they all deserve all the success coming their way
00:33:26.420 because I believe in karma and I hope you do too.
00:33:29.680 Anyways, that's it for me, you guys.
00:33:31.260 Thank you so much for watching.
00:33:32.620 I really hope you enjoy this episode and please keep sending me tips of other stories you want me
00:33:37.560 to cover as well I really appreciate it and of course if you haven't subscribed yet please do
