Jed Wallace's case against Blake Lively has been dismissed by the judge, and now Blake is asking for $650 million in damages. The judge said it's not a retaliation campaign, it's defamation in disguise. That makes Blake's narrative completely collapse.

00:00:00.000 that makes Blake Lively's narrative completely collapse.
00:00:10.560 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Tashdi Flore, journalist, Hollywood truth teller,
00:00:15.280 and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion. This is getting so delusional,
00:00:22.300 you guys. Welcome to the Delulu show. I mean, I have no words left for what's happening
00:00:29.820 right now. As I said yesterday, Jed Wallace's case was dismissed by the judge. This is huge.
00:00:39.400 Jed Wallace was or is the hired gun behind the smear campaign or the alleged smear campaign
00:00:46.600 retaliation campaign against Blake Lively, and the judge is not having it. This is actually much
00:00:53.740 more interesting than I realized yesterday when I just broke the news. We'll get into that.
00:00:59.040 And, of course, we have to talk about the talk of the town right now, which is Blake Lively's ask
00:01:06.220 for punitive damages. She is asking, hold your horses, for $650 million. And that's not including
00:01:17.660 her attorney's fees. Anyways, there's some good headlines today about the dismissal of Jed Wallace
00:01:24.160 lawsuit. This lawsuit doesn't look so good for Blake. And also Ryan Reynolds is getting a lot of backlash
00:01:30.840 in Minnesota because they're offended by his new boxed wine. And Kim Kardashian's horrific new TV show
00:01:39.340 that got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes is getting a boost. People went crazy to hate watch this new show.
00:01:48.340 Also, Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about why she didn't need an intimacy coordinator for her latest
00:01:55.980 movie. And Sydney Sweeney is caught kissing her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, in New York. I wonder which
00:02:05.160 one of them called the paparazzi. This is so staged. Anyway, since I said yesterday, I didn't have time
00:02:12.160 to actually look into the judge ruling when he dismissed Jed Wallace, the hired gun, the crisis
00:02:19.520 PR expert that Blake Lively has accused of being the brain behind this retaliation campaign or this
00:02:28.380 alleged smear campaign. So this is the second time the judge is dismissing his case. But this time,
00:02:36.220 the judge said something very interesting that I didn't speak about yesterday. He said
00:02:41.760 that this is not a retaliation campaign. He said this is about defamation. This is about
00:02:49.780 reputation. And when he's saying this is not a retaliation campaign, that makes Blake Lively's
00:02:58.240 narrative completely collapse. So Judge Lyman basically said that everything Blake accused
00:03:06.140 wallows off isn't actually harassment or retaliation. It's just about her reputation. She is mad that
00:03:15.160 people don't like her online. And the judge can totally see that. And according to New York law, if your
00:03:22.280 entire complaint is about people hurt my image, you can't sue an outsider for that. The judge called her
00:03:30.600 out and said, this is defamation in disguise. And then we have to ask the question, who defamed
00:03:38.620 Blake Lively? Everyone knows the answer to that. And that is Blake Lively. All the bad press she received
00:03:46.980 from this whole press tour was because of things that she said herself. It was about the wardrobe of
00:03:55.320 It Ends With Us. That's how it started. And the reason why people didn't like the clothes, the wardrobe
00:04:01.920 that Blake Lively chose herself for It Ends With Us was because the clothes were horrendous. Then, of course,
00:04:08.440 she followed up with this terrible PR tour. And who was behind her PR tour? That was Ryan Reynolds'
00:04:16.000 company Maximum Effort. And of course, they didn't want to take responsibility for promoting the movie
00:04:22.120 as a romantic comedy kind of chick flick movie. So they wanted to blame that on Justin Baldoni,
00:04:31.220 who had nothing to do with the PR of the movie because he wasn't even allowed to do interviews
00:04:36.040 with them. Anyways, so we have to keep that in mind here. So in the second complaint, Blake Lively
00:04:42.840 added some more factors. She was talking about astroturfing. She was talking about fake social media
00:04:49.080 campaigns, secret websites, all of that. And the court just said, nope, we're not buying it, Blake.
00:04:56.160 So not only did the judge dismiss her claims against Jed Wallace because there is no jurisdiction
00:05:03.640 for Jed Wallace in New York because he is Texas-based. So basically, he said, if you want to go after Jed
00:05:10.260 Wallace, go after him in Texas. But on top of that, he also said, you can't call this a retaliation
00:05:15.820 campaign. And that is what's really, really important here. So if the judge doesn't see this
00:05:22.000 as retaliation from the Jed Wallace perspective, how will he see it from Baldoni's perspective and
00:05:29.320 the Wayfair Party's perspective? Will he say that this isn't a retaliation campaign? And then what
00:05:36.500 happens to her major claim? Because now we know this is where she says she was mostly hurt.
00:05:45.300 It's not from the alleged S-age that occurred on set that she has no evidence of. So the judge
00:05:51.700 basically warned her with this, saying that if your whole case boils down to bad press,
00:05:58.260 you're in the wrong courtroom. He's basically saying to Blake that your massive lawsuit may really be
00:06:03.700 about damage control, not about justice. Anyways, Blake doesn't think it's weak. She has just
00:06:11.220 asked for hold your horses, $650 million. This is so insane, you guys. So she's saying that she lost about
00:06:22.660 $56 million in lost earnings, meaning like for movie roles and whatever, all these movies she's doing
00:06:32.500 every year. And then $71 million in lost profits, $34 million in reputation harm, and $483 million
00:06:44.340 in punitive damages. So it all adds up to around $650 million. Just to put that in perspective,
00:06:53.500 Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for $50 million. $50. And Amber Heard countersued him for $100 million.
00:07:00.580 He ended up getting $15 million, and that was later reduced to $10.3 million. While Blake here
00:07:09.220 believes that her career and her brands are worth $650 million. It's also funny how she's been
00:07:17.120 promoting everything online, saying that she's so successful with everything, while then she's now
00:07:23.360 admitting that she's not. And can you imagine who will actually hire her after they know they could
00:07:31.100 be sued for $650 million if she does bad press? Because that's obviously not her fault, what she
00:07:39.180 says and what she does. So if we break down what she's asking for, it's about 15 times of her entire
00:07:46.880 lifetime career earnings. She's asking 15 times more than she's ever made. Because for her, a movie,
00:07:54.720 we know that she was paid $1.75 million for It Ends With Us. And she's claiming $56.2 million in lost
00:08:03.540 earnings. So to actually get to that amount, she would have to do 32 lead roles in movies. And that would
00:08:13.700 be about 16 years of nonstop work doing two movies every single year. She's also claiming that she
00:08:21.560 lost $71 million in lost profits to her companies, Blake Brown Beauty and Betty B. So industry trackers
00:08:30.740 are estimating the entire worth of Betty Bells or Betty Boos to be about $60 million in total. And she
00:08:38.960 owns only a portion of that. And she's asking for $71 million from Justin Baldoni and the Wayfair
00:08:45.740 parties. For the SH claims, though, which is quite interesting, she only think those claims and the
00:08:53.100 damage she got from that is worth $250,000 to $400,000. So that's really at the bottom here. That's
00:09:00.680 not the important thing. And that also says that she doesn't really see that as something that really
00:09:06.000 harmed her. She just looks like a greedy, opportunistic person with a completely blown
00:09:13.620 up ego who has lost all touch with reality. Not ever in Hollywood history has an actress
00:09:20.940 asked for this amount of money. I'm guessing that Ryan Reynolds has helped her figure out how much she
00:09:29.200 is worth. But the fact is, when she's asking for this amount, she needs to back it up. So she needs
00:09:35.820 to get some experts on board here to say that she's actually worth this amount of money. And the
00:09:42.220 thing is, it's pretty easy for Baldoni's team to, you know, say that this is ridiculous. How can she
00:09:48.480 be worth this amount when she makes this amount for a movie? Another thing that's really funny here
00:09:54.020 is, thank you, Erica, for reminding me of this. I've talked about it before. And I thought that they
00:09:59.400 probably had corrected this, but they haven't. So on the website where you can book Blake Lively as a
00:10:06.100 speaker, which is something she mentions here that she lost speaking opportunities for like a
00:10:11.560 few million dollars, I think. And if you go to this website, you can book her. I think it's $200,000
00:10:17.960 for an event. Insane. But anyways, what's really funny here is when you go to AAE Speaker's booking page,
00:10:27.860 you can see Blake Lively's bio. And then also there are two videos attached to her profile. And one of
00:10:35.980 them is my viral video with my nightmare interview with Blake Lively. So they have that on her page to
00:10:45.960 promote her. I mean, who would book someone like that? It's like this company doesn't really want
00:10:52.300 anyone to book her. Why would you keep a video like that up there to promote one of your speakers?
00:10:59.580 Anyway, so Blake got some bad headlines from this Jed Wallace dismissal. Daily Mail said that Blake
00:11:07.360 Lively suffers courtroom blow in Justin Baldoni feud as judge tosses claims against social media guru.
00:11:14.340 And the Independent said judge tosses Blake Lively's claim against social media guru after Justin
00:11:20.800 Baldoni lawsuit ends. Variety. Judge again tosses Blake Lively's claims against social media operative
00:11:28.600 Jed Wallace. People Magazine. Blake Lively's claims against social media expert Jed Wallace again
00:11:36.040 dismissed by the judge due to jurisdiction. I love that they say that it's dismissed again,
00:11:42.100 meaning again that people are reminded that she has no evidence for her claims. Anyway,
00:11:50.880 let's get into something else. This story caught my attention. As I said before, I like Jennifer Lawrence
00:11:56.600 a lot. I think she's so cool. She's so relaxed. She says the most, the funniest things and it's coming
00:12:02.260 straight from the heart. She doesn't have a filter. And I love that as a journalist, that is just amazing.
00:12:08.460 I just love people that are just like not filtered, honest. You don't have to agree with everything she
00:12:13.720 says, but at least she's honest. So I really applaud that. And in this article, she explains why she
00:12:19.260 didn't need an intimacy coordinator with her co-star, Robert Pattinson, who I also adore. He is the sweetest
00:12:28.160 guy. I only met him once. I interviewed him, but he was so sweet, so shy. And just like this guy,
00:12:34.700 you just want to hug him. I really, really love Robert Pattinson. Also so down to earth. Anyway,
00:12:40.800 so Lauren said here in an interview that we didn't have an intimacy coordinator, or maybe we did,
00:12:46.060 but we didn't really. I really felt safe with Rob. He's not the pervy and very in love with his
00:12:52.400 partner. The actress said the pair shared an easy trust on set, adding that they spent most of their
00:12:58.200 time talking about our kids and relationships. She said that there were never any weird, like,
00:13:03.660 does he think I like him? If there was a little bit of that, I would probably have an intimacy
00:13:09.020 coordinator. A lot of male actors get offended if you don't want to F them. And then the punishment
00:13:15.260 starts. He was not like that. This is what Blake Lively is accusing Paldoni of, that he wanted to F
00:13:23.360 her on the set of It Ends With Us, that he was so attracted to her that he had to bite her lip.
00:13:30.040 After all the horrible things she did to him to try to take over the movie, get him to sign all
00:13:35.840 these, like, points, she said that he was so attracted to her that he harassed her. Anyways,
00:13:42.160 and she also talks about being nude after she gave birth to her baby and when she was pregnant during
00:13:47.740 her last movie. And she says that she didn't want them to retouch her body, even though they sent her
00:13:55.840 some photos. And she said that I was pregnant for Die My Love. Like, what was I going to do? Not eat?
00:14:02.020 I was working 15 hours a day. I was just tired. She laughed off offers to digitally retouch her body
00:14:08.820 on screen. I remember, like, them sending over a close-up of cellulites and being like,
00:14:14.300 do you want us to touch this up? And I was like, no, that's an ass. Yeah, I love that. I don't know
00:14:20.240 if you noticed, if you watch a scene, a very intimate scene between two people, that there's
00:14:25.460 no, like, wrinkly skin, there's no cellulite, nothing, which is very unnatural. And of course,
00:14:32.900 this is the reason why, because they sit and do frame by frame and remove cellulites or anything
00:14:38.120 that looks, you know, human. Anyways, I'm glad Jennifer Lawrence is back again and giving
00:14:44.280 us some good quotes here. Also, we have to talk about Kim Kardashian's new TV show. It says here
00:14:52.180 on Radar Online that after this TV show, All's Fair is what it's called, that I spoke about yesterday
00:14:58.900 too, after it got zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes, people were so curious about it that they had to go
00:15:07.320 and hate watch it. And so the numbers for the drama skyrocket yesterday, because everyone wanted to
00:15:14.980 see how bad it was. I think this is just like a one-time thing that's going to happen that maybe
00:15:21.040 people watch one episode and it's like, okay, it is that bad, but then they're not going to watch the
00:15:25.780 entire show. So I'm not sure if it's going to help the show at all. I just feel bad for all these other
00:15:31.220 amazing actresses like Sarah Paulson is in it, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts. I mean, these are great
00:15:37.480 actresses and they probably trusted Ryan Murphy to do a successful show. And then Kim Kardashian came
00:15:43.540 along. I'm not going to blame it on her, but they are saying that she's a terrible actress in it.
00:15:47.960 So it's really unbearable to watch. I haven't seen it yet, but I do think I will watch one episode
00:15:53.740 just to see what all the fuzz is about. Anyways, now the entire state of Minnesota is furious with Ryan
00:15:59.960 Reynolds because he offended them with his boxed wine. It says here in Daily Mail that Ryan Reynolds
00:16:06.660 has managed to upset an entire state after promoting his new boxed wine by implying Minnesotans
00:16:14.280 would get it more than high bro East coasters. So he's basically saying that boxed wine is below
00:16:22.540 East coasters, people in New York where he lives, but people in Minnesota, they can drink boxed wine.
00:16:29.140 They don't care so much because they're not so sophisticated. Is that what he's trying to say
00:16:33.580 here? So he was asked here by Star Tribune why he chose to launch his new low-cost boxed wine brand,
00:16:42.640 Ugly Estates, that's what it's called, exclusively in Minnesota. But instead of charming locals,
00:16:49.300 he sparked backlash with what many felt were condescending digs at the state and its residents.
00:16:55.040 I don't think Martha's Vineyard is going to really embrace this the way Minnesota might.
00:17:01.540 Despite his best efforts to womb in Midwesterners, locals didn't find the remarks cute or endearing.
00:17:08.740 News flashed to Ryan, most people who drink wine here don't drink boxed wine. One Instagram user fumed
00:17:15.300 online. Anyway, nothing new here with Ryan Reynolds doing tone-deaf promotions and underestimating
00:17:23.920 people's intelligence. Anyways, these pictures just popped up of Sydney Sweeney and her new boyfriend
00:17:29.740 Scooter Braun. And this just made me laugh because it's so staged. Look at the two of them sitting on
00:17:37.760 the rock just casually in the middle of Central Park making out. I feel like these two guys are very
00:17:43.740 busy. They don't have time, first of all, during the day to walk in Central Park and sit and kiss on a
00:17:49.400 rock. And the way the pictures are framed with the leaves and everything. It's just like,
00:17:55.140 this is so staged. They call this photographer to come there and take these photos of the two of
00:18:00.960 them. I don't know if I believe their relationship either. I feel there's so many fake relationships
00:18:06.640 out there. All of these stars just wants to get a lot of attention and they use relationships to get
00:18:13.780 that attention. And as I spoke about with my guests, Lynette and Kevin, the other day, they were
00:18:19.520 talking about all these staged relationships and how they're so normal in Hollywood. Like, you know,
00:18:25.260 this summer, the one between Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson that everyone thought was so cute. And
00:18:31.080 then we realized it was all a PR move to sell their movie. And I feel like this relationship here,
00:18:37.920 I don't know. Let me know what you think. How long do you give Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun?
00:18:45.500 I think about three months. Anyways, that's it for me, you guys. I really hope you enjoyed this
00:18:49.920 episode. And thanks for subscribing if you have. And if you haven't, please subscribe and hit the
00:18:57.140 notification bell so you never miss an episode of Flossom Talk. And I'll see you next time. Bye!
00:19:07.920 Bye!
