00:00:00.000 I was there yesterday at table 60. I was hanging out with everyone watching all the talents or
00:00:06.980 celebrities arrive. Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Jashti Flohr, journalist, Hollywood
00:00:17.080 truth teller and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion. I was at the Critics' Choice
00:00:24.600 Awards yesterday. I was on table 60. I'll tell you all about that. Also was Michaela Marone,
00:00:31.860 Blake's new BFF, a part of this whole plan with the New York Times before it even happened.
00:00:40.180 My source on the inside is telling me that directors in this town are talking amongst them now,
00:00:46.420 trying to figure out why on earth Ryan Reynolds would invite Justin Baldoni to their penthouse
00:00:54.440 to yell at him before the shoot even had started. This is quite telling. Also someone sent me a
00:01:02.460 video how Amy Schumer shaded Blake lively and made fun of her on Comedy Central. Yes, as always we
00:01:10.780 have a lot to talk about. Anyways, let's get into Critics' Choice because as I said, I was there
00:01:16.000 yesterday at table 60. I was hanging out with everyone watching all the talents or celebrities
00:01:22.800 arrive and I was all dressed up with Magnus and we had a really good time. Anyways, I was hoping for
00:01:28.800 some scandals to happen, that someone would say something ridiculous or inappropriate on stage,
00:01:34.800 but it didn't happen. I felt that Chelsea Handler could have done a better job at poking fun at people
00:01:41.540 and being a little more edgy. I felt she played it too safe. I have to say though, my favorite moment
00:01:47.580 was when she was joking about Leonardo DiCaprio being delayed because he was stuck on St. Barts.
00:01:53.580 Leo's here. Thank God. Leo almost didn't make it tonight because he was trapped on a boat in St.
00:01:59.580 Barts.
00:02:00.580 It was just like the Titanic, but worse because Jeff Bezos was there.
00:02:09.580 Sinners was a massive blockbuster.
00:02:16.580 Yeah, I love that Leo always laughs when people are making jokes about him. He is a sport when it
00:02:24.260 comes to these things and I do actually like Leo. I also think that Leo was snubbed yesterday.
00:02:29.200 Timothee Chalamet won Best Actor for Marty Supreme. I think that should have been Leo for one battle
00:02:34.240 after another. But anyways, Timothee Chalamet came up on stage and he was humble for once, which I liked
00:02:39.800 because I feel like he's been a little too cocky.
00:02:42.200 What's your talented, hard work grouping, hard working group of artists? Damn, I'm more nervous than I thought I'd be.
00:02:50.980 And Kylie, his girlfriend, was there. She was sitting in the other end of the room
00:02:54.560 and he was saying from stage, I love you. And she said, I love you back. So that was kind of a sweet moment
00:03:01.240 between the two of them. But apart from that, not many surprises. I didn't see that many drunk people.
00:03:06.940 There are always a few of those. It reminds me of a circus. Some people just behave outrageous just to
00:03:12.720 have two seconds to talk to a celebrity. I find it very entertaining to watch these things happening.
00:03:19.020 And that was one of my favorite things to see yesterday as well. I also had a few people come
00:03:23.440 up to me and tell me that they watched this show and that they were super excited about it. So that made
00:03:28.400 me very, very happy. And no one really said anything political yesterday except Jimmy Kimmel. He
00:03:33.840 mentioned Trump. But apart from that, no one went there. But I was really hoping that some of the
00:03:39.860 speeches at least would be a little bit fun. I remember I watched an interview with Ricky Gervais
00:03:44.900 the other day who hosted the Golden Globes. I think it was five times. And he said, I am not there to
00:03:50.640 entertain the 200 people in the room. I'm there to entertain the 60 million or 20 million people at home
00:03:57.220 watching the show. And he said, I'm that fat guy at home in the sofa eating potato chips. That's who I
00:04:03.320 am. And I think, of course, these winners want to thank all the people that got them there. But they
00:04:07.920 can do that in private. I feel like the reason to televise something is because you want to entertain
00:04:13.160 the people watching it. Well, those are my thoughts anyways. Next weekend is going to be the Golden
00:04:18.720 Globes. And everyone knows my feelings about the crooked and corrupt Golden Globes. And I received this
00:04:24.620 email a couple of days ago, and it really made me think how absurd all of this really is. Because someone
00:04:30.140 invited me to go and do a story as a journalist on the gift suite that is offered to all the people
00:04:38.200 that are nominated for a Golden Globe. So they can go in there, these celebrities, who get free stuff
00:04:43.580 thrown at them every day. They can go into this place and collect all the free stuff that they want, as long
00:04:50.740 as they just take a picture with the product or they take a picture from their vacation at Bora Bora
00:04:57.520 or things like that. And I'm thinking, you know, it's good PR for all these brands. But why on earth would
00:05:03.360 regular people be interested to read about all the free stuff that these already super privileged people
00:05:10.360 are getting? Like, why? So we could be even more like, oh, good for them. Yes, they deserve that. Like, no,
00:05:17.580 especially now, when so many people are struggling, I feel it's just so tone deaf to put any focus on
00:05:25.340 what these people are getting for free. Anyways, let's get back to Blake Lively. I did read this
00:05:30.380 comment that someone posted on my YouTube, and I was like, wow, so I had to look into this. So Nairi
00:05:36.360 commented this on my YouTube saying that Mikael, Mikhele is the right pronunciation, is wearing the same
00:05:44.820 sweater in this video and the same hairstyle that he had on the photo shoot for the announcement of
00:05:51.100 him being casted as Enzo. This commenter is referring to the video I published with Mikhele,
00:05:59.240 who was Blake Lively's co-star in Another Simple Favor. He's one of the people who's publicly
00:06:05.240 supported Blake Lively the most. And I shared this video last week where he was talking about
00:06:11.940 how much, you know, she was hurting and she was in pain and she's his friend. And this commenter here
00:06:18.700 pointed out that he is wearing the same outfit in that video as he was wearing on December 17th.
00:06:28.820 So this person is saying, you're telling me that a Dolce & Gabbana model wears the same sweater
00:06:35.700 several times with the same hairstyle. And this happened within 10 days. So there's only one
00:06:42.780 conclusion here. This was a very well thought out smear campaign on her part, talking about Blake.
00:06:49.800 It was recorded before the article went online. I went in to check this and that video that
00:06:58.700 he recorded supporting Blake Lively is not on his Instagram anymore. I don't know. It could have
00:07:04.140 been that he just posted that on his story. But the point is he published this video on December 21st
00:07:12.960 or 22nd after the New York Times article was published because he was telling people to go
00:07:19.680 and read the article. So we know it was published after December 21st or 22nd. I don't remember exactly
00:07:26.280 when that article came out. So that's why I want to link right here an article, the New York Times,
00:07:32.060 just to make you understand before commenting what happened. But as this person is pointing out,
00:07:39.320 he published a Instagram reel wearing that same sweater 10 days earlier, where he's announcing that
00:07:48.880 he got a part in Paul Feig's next movie, The Housemaid. As you know, Paul Feig is also really
00:07:55.640 close friends with Blake Lively and has been one of her other major supporters publicly. So we could
00:08:03.460 take a guess here that these two videos was shot the same day as he's wearing the same outfit. He's
00:08:09.840 wearing the same sweater. And if he shot that video on December 17th as well, it says so much about how
00:08:18.660 everything around that article was planned and that he was a part of pushing that narrative for Blake
00:08:26.900 and for the New York Times. And like this person is saying, he was a part of the smear campaign
00:08:33.360 against Justin Baldoni. Very interesting observation. As I said, we don't know this 100%, but to me,
00:08:40.500 it looks very likely that he recorded these two videos the same day. Okay, as I said, I've been speaking
00:08:47.740 to my inside source again. The person contacted me again. This person knows Justin Baldoni and his
00:08:55.400 wife and the person knows Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. So this is a real insider, you guys.
00:09:02.880 And I've spoken to this person before about this incident because they said, I'm going to say they,
00:09:08.840 I'm not going to say if it's a he or she. So they said that a lot of people now in Hollywood,
00:09:15.840 especially directors, are talking about this meeting in Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's penthouse
00:09:23.020 in New York when they invited Justin Baldoni over to yell at him for the fat shaming in front of Taylor
00:09:30.480 Swift and Hugh Jackman. And this person here is saying that everyone that works on a movie knows
00:09:37.900 that to have success with the film, you have to have a close and good working relationship between
00:09:44.380 the director and the main actor. And why on earth would Ryan Reynolds go out before the shoot even
00:09:53.560 started to ruin that relationship? Because that's what he did here. And that's what this person is
00:09:59.660 saying. No one understands what the motivation is there. They also said that no one in Hollywood
00:10:05.760 could even dream of putting together a meeting like this just to yell at someone. When you call
00:10:13.260 for a meeting, you want to solve a problem. You want to make things better moving forward. You don't
00:10:19.080 want to just yell at someone to make them feel uncomfortable and intimidating. So this person is asking
00:10:25.220 why it why would Ryan Reynolds jeopardize this entire movie? They say here that one of the reasons could be
00:10:32.420 that Ryan was offended that he didn't like his ideas for that rooftop scene because Justin at first wasn't
00:10:37.480 too excited about that. But that seems very unlikely. And they also add or whatever perceived insult to his
00:10:44.420 manhood that he simply could not control himself and literally had some sort of psychotic breakdown in
00:10:51.220 front of everyone. Behaving like a child having a tantrum. That's what it seems like. That's what
00:10:57.860 actually happened. Then they add that it's possible that Ryan was completely aware of what he was doing
00:11:03.500 and was making a power play from the start to take over the film. That they already started to plant this
00:11:10.200 false narrative that there was an issue here so that they could go back to that and build a case or build
00:11:16.940 this narrative that they now have created to make this impression that there was a problem from the
00:11:22.300 start. They're saying that Ryan might wanted to provoke even a fight. You wanted something to happen
00:11:28.240 and to come from this and was maybe just provoking Justin. The person is saying all of this is just
00:11:34.020 disgusting and embarrassing for Ryan. But Brian Friedman would be wise to drill down on this and lay out
00:11:40.740 that no matter what the reason it makes Ryan look like the villain. So true. I have to say here
00:11:48.900 looking at all of this, trying to make sense of it, trying to look at this from a psychological
00:11:54.500 perspective here. I feel like when a person acts and reacts like Ryan did in this situation, he's acting
00:12:03.220 and reacting out from feelings. To me, this is a way a person acts if they feel threatened. If you
00:12:10.560 have to belittle someone in front of other people, your main goal is to show everyone that, hey, I'm in
00:12:19.040 control here. And I find it hard to believe that they would plan this whole takeover already at this
00:12:26.260 point. I think this started out with pure jealousy. He was threatened by Justin Baldoni's masculinity.
00:12:33.440 And what's clear here is that Ryan would never ever do this to any other director who's more
00:12:40.340 established. Can you imagine that he would invite Oliver Stone to his penthouse to yell at him for
00:12:48.100 asking how much Blake Lively weighed? Or Steven Spielberg? Or Martin Scorsese? Do you think that
00:12:56.400 he would do that to any of those people? Uh, no. And that tells me everything that this wasn't coming
00:13:01.520 from a genuine place of just protecting his wife. This is how Ryan tried to protect himself
00:13:07.100 against his own jealousy. Do you think it was jealousy driven this meeting? Or do you think
00:13:12.880 that they already planned this from when this meeting happened? This, as I said, happened months
00:13:18.420 before they even started shooting. Someone sent me a comment the other day as well saying that,
00:13:24.320 look at Ryan Reynolds, he doesn't wear his wedding ring anymore. I haven't seen that. I don't know if
00:13:28.480 you guys have noticed that. But anyways, I was scrolling through his Instagram today. And I noticed that
00:13:34.800 he's only really publishing things about his football team, Rexham these days, or his soccer
00:13:41.160 team. And there are no photos of him and Blake Lively on his front page on Instagram. You can scroll
00:13:49.020 on and on and on and on and there's no photos of him and his wife. I find that interesting.
00:13:56.540 I actually saw this is a bit ridiculous and I don't believe in these things. I'm not very into astrology,
00:14:02.060 although I do find it entertaining sometimes. And the mirror in the UK had a astrologer look at
00:14:09.280 the charts for Blake and Ryan next year. And I thought it was a little bit funny. And this person
00:14:14.900 here is saying that there will be subtle tensions in Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's relationship next
00:14:20.860 year. The team, I don't know, they talked to a whole team of astrologers here. The team said that
00:14:25.680 Venus and Venus and Saturn are highlighting lessons in long-term alignment and unspoken expectations.
00:14:33.200 They say, this may bring attention to how personal ambitions intersect with family life.
00:14:40.020 They added, even seemingly perfect couples can encounter stress if underlying dynamics are left
00:14:48.560 unspoken. I wonder if Blake and Ryan have been completely honest with each other here.
00:14:54.580 And we're about to find that out too, because as you know, this week and moving forward in January,
00:15:00.440 a lot of evidence is going to be unsealed. And we are going to get a closer look at what really went on
00:15:08.380 here. And if any of the stories Blake Lively has been telling us so far can really hold up. As we learned
00:15:14.080 so far, there is no evidence proving any SH on that set. And there is no proof of any smear campaign.
00:15:21.180 The expert continues here to say that this year asks Ryan and Blake to tune into the quieter aspects
00:15:27.460 of their bond. Small misalignments may surface and the key will be honest dialogue. Okay, there we got
00:15:34.700 it. If they take time to understand each other's evolving needs and honor those shifts, their
00:15:39.520 relationship can deepen rather than fracture. So let's wait and see what happens. My prediction is
00:15:47.040 that I think that this relationship is not going to last. But what do I know? I'm just guessing here.
00:15:53.400 Anyways, talking about trials, I did mention that there's a lot of other lawsuits going on in Hollywood
00:15:59.680 right now. And it seems like some people have learned stuff from Blake Lively, watching how she has
00:16:05.600 successfully brought a case this far without having any evidence. I'm not saying that these people don't
00:16:12.860 have any evidence. But what I've learned from this messy lawsuit is that I always want to get
00:16:18.240 all the evidence out there before I make up my mind of who I believe or where the truth lays.
00:16:23.380 And I found out something interesting when I was watching one of those legal channels that had
00:16:28.260 this attorney on. His name is Jonathan J. Del Shad or Del Shad. And he's representing a lot of these
00:16:36.420 victims. One of them being Brian King Joseph, who I spoke about last week, who's suing Will Smith for
00:16:43.380 S.H. and wrongful termination and retaliation. Sound a bit familiar. I feel like I need to know a little
00:16:52.100 bit more of his story before I make up my mind here. But I think there's some missing parts here that I
00:16:58.740 don't really get.
00:16:59.640 You know, again, we haven't done discovery. We don't know what the facts are going to bear out.
00:17:06.220 But again, the allegations here so far, I think the main allegations in our complaints are that
00:17:11.180 some type of retaliation for reporting harassment.
00:17:14.280 He's also suing Will Smith's studio management company as well. And the same lawyer is representing
00:17:21.860 Mario Rodriguez, who recently filed a $77 million lawsuit alleging S.H. and emotional distress
00:17:32.520 against Tyler Perry. Same lawyer is also representing Derek Dixon, another accuser who previously filed
00:17:42.520 a lawsuit accusing Perry of S.H. and assaults. So I don't know what's up here, why this attorney
00:17:49.820 has now three of these cases against celebrities. Two are against Taylor Perry and one against
00:17:56.560 Will Smith. But I feel like when regular people go after celebrities, they think it's going
00:18:01.120 to be a big paycheck there because they know that they have so much money. I don't know what
00:18:05.380 you think here. I will keep following these cases to see how they develop and what more
00:18:10.480 information comes out. Now that there are two people coming out against Tyler Perry, I think
00:18:16.920 there might be something there. I feel like the more accusers come out, the more truth there is
00:18:21.740 to this story. As Will Smith, I don't know. I find that there's some shadiness going on in that story,
00:18:28.540 as I said before, but who knows? There might be a lot of stuff we don't know yet. Anyways, thank you
00:18:34.080 Sidal for sending me this video. I wanted to end this episode with a little clip from Amy Schumer making
00:18:39.920 fun of Blake Lively back in the day. This is from Comedy Central when she was doing a parody on
00:18:45.640 Blake Lively and what she's like on talk shows. Please welcome, ladies and gentlemen, Amy Lake
00:18:51.500 Lively. I'm so excited to be here. Oh, really? Yeah, you look excited. Does she look excited?
00:18:58.920 You look excited? No, this is my favorite TV show. Oh, really? My absolute favorite TV show. I've been
00:19:03.480 watching this since I was like 16. So like two years ago? Stop it. Stop it. The sketch went viral
00:19:10.380 when it aired in May, comparing the faux celebrity interview to Lively's 2010 appearance on The Late
00:19:16.620 Show with David Letterman. And then she went on Watch What Happens Live and talked about it.
00:19:22.140 You're not going to believe this, but we're not close friends. I know. I have not heard anything.
00:19:30.120 Yeah, we're not close or anything like that, Amy Schumer said. As you know, she was one of the few
00:19:37.320 people who actually came out when Blake Lively filed her lawsuit and said, I believe Blake on
00:19:44.200 Instagram. That's all we heard about that. And there was a video of her and Blake backstage at the
00:19:51.760 SNL 50 when she gave Blake a hug and some lip reader said that everything's going to be okay,
00:19:58.860 whatever. I feel like if you know someone, you would always say that and you would always hug
00:20:04.020 someone if you already know them. It would be weird if she didn't do that. I wonder where she
00:20:08.580 stands today, though. As you know, she has deleted her entire Instagram from before she lost all the
00:20:14.960 weight. And she's saying it's not about losing the weight, but I don't know. I feel like Amy Schumer
00:20:20.240 has lost it a little bit. She keeps posting all these weird things and a lot of focus on her body,
00:20:25.200 on her weight loss. And now she's also getting a divorce. I do hope she figures everything out and
00:20:30.820 finds new happiness in her life, wherever that takes her. Anyways, that's it for me, you guys. I
00:20:36.240 hope you enjoyed this episode. And thank you so much for watching. And let me know what you think
00:20:40.800 in the comment section. And please subscribe and also check if you've been unsubscribed. It does
00:20:46.700 happen a lot for some reason. I don't know why. And hit the notification bell so you never miss an
00:20:52.360 episode of Flawsome Talk. And I'll see you tomorrow. Bye.
