00:12:27.000 Let's get into it, Barry!
00:12:28.000 Let's go.
00:13:42.000 And he's done it for 30-plus years, so we're going to talk about that with him.

00:14:48.000 And then as well, any updates for the party?
00:14:52.000 Well, you're the one that's getting the app, you tell me.
00:14:54.000 Yeah, what day you wanna do it though?
00:14:56.000 Could we do it late July or early August?
00:14:58.000 We should do a vote, actually, with the audience later on.
00:15:00.000 Okay.
00:15:00.000 Yeah, so I'm thinking it'll probably be that first week of August is what I'm thinking.
00:15:04.000 Yeah.
00:15:05.000 But YAH isn't available until that first Sunday, right?
00:15:07.000 The 28th?
00:15:07.000 That's the 28th, yeah.
00:15:08.000 So we could do that first weekend after.
00:15:11.000 Cool.
00:15:12.000 That works.
00:15:12.000 That first weekend after, because they're probably going to want to do it on a Friday or Saturday.
00:15:15.000 We're back, man.
00:15:16.000 It's Money Monday.
00:15:16.000 Yeah, yeah, but we're back.
00:15:19.000 By the way, we got a special guest in the house, man.
00:15:20.000 We got Jay in the house.
00:15:21.000 You guys know him as BigThingsIguan in the chat, man.
00:15:23.000 And this is crazy because we got a chat ninja here in studio with us that's going to give you guys some game, man.
00:15:28.000 So, yo, you guys can get your money up, get successful, and you could be here with us one day, man.
00:15:33.000 Yo, Jay, we know who you are, but they might not.
00:15:35.000 Can you introduce yourself to the people and tell them who you are?
00:15:40.000 So basically, my name is Jay.
00:15:43.000 I go by BigTingsAguan on IG. And basically, I'm a truck driver.
00:15:50.000 I have my own business.
00:15:52.000 I've been supporting these two for a long time.
00:15:54.000 So to be honest with you, it is actually a blessing.
00:15:59.000 And it's actually a great opportunity to be on here with you fellas.
00:16:03.000 Because I'm going to tell y'all, I did not think I was going to get on.
00:16:07.000 Yeah.
00:16:08.000 Well deserved, man.
00:16:08.000 You support us in the chat and on the party as well.
00:16:11.000 Yeah.
00:16:11.000 Yep.
00:16:12.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:16:12.000 This is crazy because someone that's actually a part of the team is here, you know what I mean, that's supported and now you're here, obviously going to give back to the people.
00:16:22.000 Can you tell us a little bit about your background, where you're from, and how you got started?
00:16:26.000 So basically, I was raised in Jersey, right in the Philly area, honestly.
00:16:32.000 So South Jersey, it's like one of the same things, honestly.
00:16:37.000 And my dad was a truck driver for 30 plus years.
00:16:41.000 That's how I got in it.
00:16:44.000 He took me on the road with him when I was four months old.
00:16:47.000 Wow.
00:16:48.000 So, Diesel is in my blood for the most part.
00:16:52.000 Literally.
00:16:53.000 Literally.
00:16:54.000 So, for me, that's what got me started.
00:16:58.000 Whenever it was a day out of school, whenever it was any day that I could be with him, I was with him.
00:17:05.000 So, he taught me the essence of working hard right out the gate.
00:17:11.000 Trucking is my passion.
00:17:12.000 It's something that I love to do.
00:17:15.000 It's not the same as it was in the 90s and the 80s and stuff like that.
00:17:20.000 So for y'all asking, this is why Myron said 30 plus years of experience because I literally have that much experience in this game.
00:17:27.000 And I love what I do.
00:17:29.000 I absolutely love what I do.
00:17:31.000 So, um, but it wasn't always trucking, right?
00:17:34.000 Like you had, um, you worked in corporate America first.
00:17:36.000 Can you tell them a little bit about that?
00:17:37.000 So like how you kind of switched over?
00:17:39.000 Yeah, basically, um, I always wanted to work for myself.
00:17:43.000 Um, at five years old, six years old, seven years old, people used to ask me what it is I wanted to do.
00:17:49.000 And I always said I wanted to own a trucking business.
00:17:53.000 But I never wanted to be a truck driver, as I was explaining to him earlier.
00:17:56.000 I never wanted to be a truck driver.
00:17:58.000 I just wanted to own my own trucking business.
00:18:00.000 So I was in corporate America for, I want to say, about eight or nine years.
00:18:07.000 What'd you do?
00:18:08.000 So I was a building clerk for a trucking company.
00:18:15.000 And also, I was a dispatcher.
00:18:19.000 And I was also a broker.
00:18:22.000 So I've learned that side of it too, which is why certain things have come easier to me doing this.
00:18:31.000 And what I want to do is I want to provide you guys that are watching the opportunity to learn from my mistakes and not make those same mistakes so that y'all can be successful even more so than what I am.
00:18:44.000 So even when you were in corporate America, you were still handling logistics for a trucking company?
00:18:48.000 Yes.
00:18:48.000 That sounds smart.
00:18:49.000 Yeah.
00:18:49.000 So you're well versed in this.
00:18:51.000 Okay.
00:18:52.000 Someone's watching this right now, right?
00:18:53.000 And they're probably like, okay, I want to get into the trucking world.
00:18:57.000 I want to be a truck driver.
00:18:58.000 Maybe I want to be a dispatcher or whatever it may be.
00:19:00.000 Can you tell us how they can kind of get their foot in the door?
00:19:03.000 What's their first step that they need to take to get into this type of industry?
00:19:05.000 So basically, you have to ask yourself, why am I doing this?
00:19:09.000 Why exactly do I want to get into trucking?
00:19:11.000 Because it is not a thing where you get into it and you're going to make this stupid amount of money right away.
00:19:17.000 You have to put your time in.
00:19:18.000 You got to put your effort in.
00:19:20.000 And you have to do everything to the best of your ability, especially doing trucking.
00:19:25.000 You have to always be aware.
00:19:28.000 But the first thing that you want to do, if you want to get into trucking, look up certain information.
00:19:34.000 Um, and the first thing you do, uh, and they usually pay for it, uh, whatever state you're living in.
00:19:40.000 If you go down to the career center and whatever state you're living in, they will pay for you to have a CD to get your CDL. Oh, wow.
00:19:48.000 Yeah.
00:19:49.000 You go, so you go to trucking school and they will actually pay for you to do that.
00:19:53.000 So step one, get your CDL, but you can get a CDL through a Career Center.
00:19:58.000 Through a Career Center.
00:19:59.000 Oh, shit.
00:20:00.000 Because if you were to do it yourself, isn't it a couple thousand dollars?
00:20:02.000 It's a couple of thousand dollars, and it's like, if you've never had any training, how are you going to know how to drive a truck?
00:20:07.000 Yeah.
00:20:07.000 You know, so in that aspect, that's what I did.
00:20:10.000 I didn't have to do it, but I was like, well, hell, if the state is funding it, why not take the opportunity?
00:20:18.000 So there's career centers.
00:20:19.000 How do you, like, even get into one of these, like, I don't know if you can maybe just tell us the process of how it works in whatever state that you did it in?
00:20:26.000 Yeah, so I did it in, the city is Huntsville, and the state is Alabama.
00:20:30.000 So I did it in Huntsville, Alabama.
00:20:33.000 Me and my cousin actually went at the same time, and so we both have had our CDLs for the same amount of time.
00:20:39.000 And, uh, but what you do is you go, uh, Google it, go to your career center.
00:20:46.000 And what they'll do is they'll give you a test that you have to take.
00:20:49.000 It's basic, uh, arithmetic.
00:20:51.000 So basic mathematics, basic English.
00:20:53.000 And they ask you like some IQ questions.
00:20:57.000 And I'm gonna tell y'all some, if, if I could pass it, y'all definitely could.
00:21:00.000 Okay.
00:21:01.000 All right.
00:21:01.000 Is it easier if you drive like stick shift beforehand?
00:21:04.000 Does it make it easier or no?
00:21:05.000 It just depends because it's a different pattern.
00:21:08.000 But I mean, like for me, all my cars have been manual.
00:21:13.000 I drive a 13-speed truck right now.
00:21:16.000 So they have came out with automatic trucks.
00:21:18.000 Now here's the thing.
00:21:19.000 When you go to trucking school, you will have to learn in a manual truck.
00:21:25.000 You'll have to learn in a manual truck.
00:21:27.000 Now, if...
00:21:28.000 Okay, let me back up.
00:21:30.000 Let me back up.
00:21:31.000 They have it now, because they didn't have it when I was going to trucking school, but they have it now.
00:21:37.000 You'll have a choice.
00:21:40.000 You'll have if you want to learn a manual or if you want to learn an automatic.
00:21:44.000 The only thing is, if you learn an automatic, once you get your license, you are then restricted to only automatic trucks.
00:21:52.000 And I wouldn't suggest anyone do that, because why would you already want to put restrictions on yourself right out the gate?
00:21:59.000 Right.
00:22:00.000 Yeah.
00:22:00.000 That's a good tip.
00:22:01.000 All right.
00:22:01.000 So going back, so you go ahead and you get your CDL and you can get it through a career center.
00:22:08.000 And you were describing the process with Huntsville.
00:22:10.000 Yeah.
00:22:10.000 Okay.
00:22:11.000 So you went to this, like how long, like how did you get the funding?
00:22:15.000 Like how do you even go about it?
00:22:16.000 So basically they contact the school for you.
00:22:19.000 Okay.
00:22:19.000 They tell you what school you're going to attend.
00:22:21.000 They look for the closest one in the vicinity.
00:22:24.000 Okay.
00:22:24.000 Okay.
00:22:24.000 So they pay for everything.
00:22:27.000 So they send the school the money.
00:22:28.000 Okay.
00:22:29.000 Yeah, and that's how that works.
00:22:31.000 And then you'll take your written test first, and then you'll take your driving test.
00:22:37.000 Because for us, it was four weeks.
00:22:39.000 Now, technically speaking, me personally, I don't know what you can learn in four weeks.
00:22:44.000 To me, I think that's kind of dangerous.
00:22:48.000 But it's for bigger companies to take you the rest of the way, so they'll train you and all that stuff.
00:22:53.000 I had said coming out of trucking school, I'm not going to no big company because you're just a number.
00:22:59.000 So I went to a smaller company to start out.
00:23:01.000 I think they had like seven or eight trucks.
00:23:04.000 Okay.
00:23:05.000 So you get your CDL, and this is well over a decade ago, right?
00:23:09.000 Yeah.
00:23:09.000 So you get your CDL, and you got, I'm assuming, in manual.
00:23:13.000 Yeah.
00:23:13.000 Which if you get a manual CDL, you basically could do automatic.
00:23:17.000 You can do automatic if you want.
00:23:18.000 Yeah.
00:23:19.000 Yeah.
00:23:20.000 So you get your CDL, and you were able to do it through a company.
00:23:22.000 Now, assuming you don't go through a company and you do it yourself, how much is someone going to need to be able to get a CDL nowadays?
00:23:28.000 So, basically, you'll need, really what you'll need to do is, the fees are about, it depends on the state you live in, but the fees aren't that expensive.
00:23:39.000 It's like $200, $275.
00:23:42.000 Okay.
00:23:42.000 Yeah, so it's not that bad.
00:23:43.000 Also, I thought it was going to be a couple thousand.
00:23:45.000 No, no, no, no.
00:23:46.000 So get your CDL because once you take the test, you can then put endorsements on it, on your license.
00:23:54.000 Okay.
00:23:54.000 You can put endorsements on your license, whether it be hazmat or tanker or heavy hauling.
00:24:02.000 You could do it that way.
00:24:03.000 Is it the schooling that costs a couple thousand then?
00:24:05.000 It's the schooling that does.
00:24:06.000 Okay, that's what costs the extra money.
00:24:07.000 It's the schooling that does.
00:24:08.000 Okay, okay.
00:24:08.000 So the license itself isn't a problem.
00:24:10.000 It's the schooling to get the license.
00:24:11.000 Yeah.
00:24:13.000 And the only way you're going to be able to get your license is if you pass the driving test.
00:24:18.000 So again, a lot of people don't know how to drive a truck.
00:24:20.000 They don't know how to drive a stick.
00:24:23.000 To me, it's like driving a big car.
00:24:26.000 I've been doing it for so long.
00:24:28.000 Gotcha.
00:24:29.000 So if someone's coming in and doesn't know it at all, It might be better for them to go to a school, learn it, then go take the test, but the school is going to cost them some money.
00:24:39.000 Or they can study by themselves and try to find a truck somehow and practice on that.
00:24:43.000 So those are your options.
00:24:45.000 Those are your options.
00:24:45.000 Those are your options.
00:24:46.000 Now, I would highly recommend that you go to trucking school.
00:24:50.000 When my dad did it, because he actually went to trucking school.
00:24:53.000 When my dad did it, he was in school for six months.
00:24:57.000 Wow.
00:24:58.000 Because here's the thing, and this is just me being straight up with everybody, everyone watching.
00:25:05.000 Again, I don't see what you can learn in four months.
00:25:07.000 Four weeks, you mean?
00:25:08.000 Four weeks.
00:25:09.000 Sorry, four weeks.
00:25:10.000 I don't see what you can learn in four weeks because it's very dangerous, man.
00:25:15.000 I mean, truck driving, just so y'all know, truck driving is the third most dangerous job to have in the U.S. Oh, really?
00:25:24.000 Yeah, because of all the accidents and stuff.
00:25:25.000 Oh, shit.
00:25:26.000 Yeah.
00:25:26.000 Now, whether that has went down, I haven't checked in a while, but whether that has went down, I don't, like, I'm not too sure.
00:25:31.000 But when I checked last time, which was a few years ago, it was the third most dangerous job to have.
00:25:37.000 It's so many accidents on the road on a daily basis.
00:25:39.000 And the severity of the casualties.
00:25:41.000 Yes.
00:25:41.000 Yes.
00:25:41.000 The casualties are crazy sometimes.
00:25:44.000 Okay.
00:25:45.000 So, okay.
00:25:47.000 So we got a crash course in how to get started.
00:25:49.000 So, like, you have basically two options.
00:25:50.000 You either A... You know, pay your...
00:25:54.000 Well, three options, really.
00:25:55.000 A, you pay your own way, go to the school, take the license, done.
00:26:00.000 Or, get one of these career centers to pay for it, do it your way, or career centers to pay for you, then you go to school, then you take the test, and then you do it that way.
00:26:12.000 Or, if you're lucky and someone has a truck, right, you could study for it on your own, Use that truck at practice and then go ahead and do the test without going to school.
00:26:21.000 Yep.
00:26:22.000 Okay.
00:26:22.000 But you obviously advise people go to trucking school and get it done that way.
00:26:26.000 Unless your pop or your uncle or someone of that caliber or nature is a truck driver and they can teach you, then yeah, you'll save yourself.
00:26:36.000 I mean, but again, you're not paying for it.
00:26:38.000 The state is.
00:26:39.000 My cousin is actually doing it because he started his own trucking business as well.
00:26:47.000 But he's doing box trucks.
00:26:49.000 But I told him, I said, you might want to just go ahead and get your CDL because it looks so much better on paper, man.
00:26:55.000 It just looks more professional.
00:26:56.000 And that's the thing, guys.
00:26:57.000 It's called professional truck drivers.
00:27:01.000 And I think a lot of people have taken that professional part out.
00:27:05.000 And you opt for manual over automatic at all times.
00:27:09.000 I do because it's just better control.
00:27:11.000 It's better control, man.
00:27:13.000 To me, it's safer.
00:27:15.000 So I had a cousin that used to do trucking for a living, right?
00:27:17.000 But he told me, long story short, it is a lot of work, and it looks easy, but it's not.
00:27:23.000 It's not.
00:27:24.000 What does it actually entail to be a trucker, you would say?
00:27:26.000 The actual good and bad.
00:27:28.000 Okay, so let's start with the ugly first.
00:27:32.000 I was fortunate to not have to be on the road two, three, four weeks at a time.
00:27:39.000 That's why I got with a smaller company.
00:27:42.000 I was home every week.
00:27:45.000 I was off on weekends.
00:27:46.000 Sometimes I would have to leave out on Sundays.
00:27:48.000 Sometimes I wouldn't.
00:27:50.000 But at the end of the day, the worst part that can possibly happen to you is that you get into an accident.
00:27:58.000 Or you get out of shape and you start having a whole bunch of health issues because you can start to pick up a lot of weight.
00:28:05.000 Because all they have out there is fast food.
00:28:07.000 That's all they have out there at truck stops.
00:28:08.000 That's all they have is fast food.
00:28:10.000 So many truck drivers are out of shape.
00:28:12.000 Yeah, I try to stay in shape.
00:28:14.000 There's actually a trucker that actually follows you guys.
00:28:17.000 He's a...
00:28:17.000 I forget, man.
00:28:19.000 God forgive me.
00:28:20.000 I forget his IG, but he does fitness trucking.
00:28:23.000 Like, he's a trucker and he does fitness.
00:28:24.000 I think I've seen him in the chat before.
00:28:26.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:28:26.000 He's in the Castle Club chat.
00:28:27.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:28:28.000 That's him.
00:28:29.000 That's him.
00:28:32.000 He's a Castle Club OG. I think it works out in the truck, right?
00:28:37.000 Yeah, he works out in the truck.
00:28:38.000 He also goes to the gym, too, when he has time.
00:28:40.000 And that's another thing.
00:28:43.000 Your health is the most important thing when you're doing anything, but especially in trucking, because unlike, so I do flatbed, and we'll get into that, but I do flatbed, so I make sure that I get out, I have to tie down the loads, I gotta chain them down, because I just haul nothing but steel.
00:29:02.000 That's all I haul is steel plates, like for infrastructure and stuff like that.
00:29:06.000 I might do lumber here and there or something else, but yeah, for the most part, I have customer freight, which we'll get into that too.
00:29:14.000 Okay.
00:29:15.000 But, you know, I'm sorry for veering off, but to answer your questions, man, the worst part is...
00:29:22.000 Is being out there on the road, not seeing your family.
00:29:25.000 If you have a family, it's a very difficult strain on your relationship, on your family, or what have you.
00:29:31.000 Your kids, not seeing them the way you would like to.
00:29:34.000 But that's really the worst part of it, just getting out of shape and not being able to go home when you need to and not having that R&R time.
00:29:45.000 Because you're right.
00:29:45.000 He mentioned, for example, back then, him being single helped.
00:29:49.000 When he had a wife and kids, it was harder because he was away from home for so long.
00:29:52.000 And also, he said it was hard to stay awake sometimes on long trips.
00:29:57.000 Yeah.
00:29:57.000 I don't know if that makes sense.
00:29:58.000 So that has happened to me multiple times.
00:30:01.000 I like to go get it, bro.
00:30:03.000 I go hard in the paint, man.
00:30:04.000 I like to go get it.
00:30:06.000 So for me, when you wear yourself down, and that was...
00:30:11.000 Look, I'm just going to say this.
00:30:14.000 So y'all that want to be truck drivers or that are truck drivers, when y'all get tired, please pull over.
00:30:19.000 It's not worth it.
00:30:20.000 It's not worth you passing away.
00:30:23.000 It's not worth you killing somebody.
00:30:26.000 You know, it's just not worth it.
00:30:27.000 So when you're tired, just pull over, man.
00:30:29.000 So he had a friend that used to drive a truck with him as well, and a guy fell asleep at the wheel, hit a tree, died instantly.
00:30:35.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:30:36.000 He's driving a big-ass truck, too.
00:30:37.000 Yeah, and the thing about it is, trucks, like, they crumble like paper.
00:30:41.000 There are cars I heard that are more durable than a truck is, honestly.
00:30:45.000 Really?
00:30:45.000 I'm dead serious.
00:30:46.000 Gotta be Volkswagen.
00:30:47.000 Gotta be Volkswagen, bro.
00:30:50.000 It's all fiberglass for the most part.
00:30:54.000 So they break apart, man.
00:30:56.000 They do damage, bro.
00:30:58.000 They do damage.
00:31:00.000 Oh, I didn't answer the good part.
00:31:02.000 The good part about it is you can make a lot of money depending on what you're doing.
00:31:09.000 Now, I know there are certain companies where you can make a ton of money like Walmart.
00:31:14.000 Walmart's a good one to start with.
00:31:16.000 They make really good money.
00:31:18.000 But coming out of school, you have to have at least, and this is the thing, you have to have at least six months to a year experience.
00:31:26.000 Some companies require you to have Two years experience.
00:31:30.000 Wow.
00:31:30.000 But when you're coming out of school, you could drive for companies like Swift or J.B. Hunt or Schneider, places like that that will actually take in new drivers, train them, and you can get a sign-on bonus.
00:31:45.000 You get benefits after the first 90 days or something like that, 60 days.
00:31:53.000 Oh, wow.
00:31:53.000 Okay.
00:31:53.000 So right away.
00:31:55.000 Right away.
00:31:57.000 But does that mean you have to be exclusive to them?
00:31:59.000 You can't do freelance jobs?
00:32:00.000 Yeah, you gotta be exclusive to them.
00:32:01.000 You gotta be exclusive to them, right?
00:32:02.000 You can't just pick up random loads in Laredo and shit?
00:32:03.000 No.
00:32:04.000 Nope.
00:32:04.000 Okay.
00:32:04.000 Nope.
00:32:05.000 Okay, so we talked about how to acquire the CDL, the many ways that you can get it, and then going to school, and how to get it funded.
00:32:13.000 They get their CDL. What's the next step?
00:32:15.000 The next step is you ask yourself if this is what I really want to do.
00:32:21.000 Even though you went through all that training, is this what I really want to do?
00:32:25.000 And what will happen is these career centers make it very easy for you to start making money right out the gate.
00:32:32.000 Because the major trucking companies are actually going to be recruiting people from the school.
00:32:39.000 And then sometimes you can actually put in somewhere where you might want to work and they might actually take you in and train you.
00:32:45.000 Okay.
00:32:46.000 So that's how you get that started.
00:32:48.000 Okay.
00:32:48.000 Now let's say you didn't go through a career center and you're doing it yourself.
00:32:51.000 Do you have to manually apply to all these places?
00:32:53.000 You have to manually apply to those places, yes.
00:32:55.000 Okay, let's say you did everything on your own, you went and passed the test on your own, you're a resourceful guy, you read it, and maybe you have a truck that you can borrow, whatever the fuck someone taught you.
00:33:04.000 So you have to go ahead and apply.
00:33:05.000 Let's assume that they're not using a career center.
00:33:08.000 What are some companies that you think that this should apply for them out the gate after they just got their license?
00:33:12.000 The ones you mentioned before, Snyder, etc.
00:33:14.000 Yeah, just the bigger companies, because those companies, they absolutely...
00:33:19.000 Can you go through it one more time?
00:33:19.000 You said Walmart, Schneider.
00:33:21.000 Walmart, Schneider, but Walmart actually wants experience.
00:33:24.000 Okay, so with no experience.
00:33:25.000 Yeah, so with no experience, you could do Swift, Schneider, TMC, they're a flatbed company, Warner, there's a few others, but...
00:33:37.000 If you Google it, they will show you which ones will take you in.
00:33:41.000 And that's the best thing to do is to Google certain companies.
00:33:45.000 But I just gave you guys like five or six companies.
00:33:48.000 Offer it.
00:33:49.000 Yes, they actually are good companies to start with.
00:33:51.000 Now me, like I said, I went with a smaller company because I just didn't want to just be another number.
00:33:55.000 They will keep you out on the road for weeks.
00:33:58.000 That's what they will do.
00:34:00.000 So the potential to make money is there, you'll be working, but it's going to be slave labor in the beginning.
00:34:05.000 At first, yes.
00:34:07.000 Everyone has to put in their time.
00:34:08.000 You've got to pay your dues.
00:34:10.000 You have to.
00:34:11.000 So let's say you follow all these steps here, along with the actual getting the job.
00:34:15.000 What's the starting salary you would say for somebody getting into it?
00:34:18.000 Starting salary, it ranges between...
00:34:22.000 You're going to make over $50,000 right away for the most part.
00:34:25.000 Right away.
00:34:25.000 Right away.
00:34:26.000 But it ranges anywhere between $50,000 to $70,000 a year, depending on who you go with.
00:34:33.000 Like, for example, now...
00:34:35.000 If you go for a company like Schneider, they actually do Tanker as well, and that's hazmat work.
00:34:41.000 So they automatically, off the rip, have to pay you a certain amount.
00:34:47.000 But of course, they're going to train you first.
00:34:48.000 And then if you want to venture off into Tanker...
00:34:50.000 Then that's what you can do.
00:34:52.000 And they will pay you, and then actually, if I'm not mistaken, they will actually give you health insurance before any other position they have.
00:35:04.000 Gotcha.
00:35:04.000 You go to the top of the list to get the health insurance benefits because of hazmat.
00:35:09.000 So hazmat's like, you know, flammable, anything flammable, liquid, like, you know, stuff like that.
00:35:16.000 Okay.
00:35:18.000 Interesting.
00:35:20.000 Okay.
00:35:21.000 So they can go ahead and...
00:35:22.000 Damn, I had a question, but now I just forgot it.
00:35:25.000 You mentioned getting the CDL and then applying for the jobs.
00:35:28.000 You have the companies...
00:35:29.000 Yeah, and then you asked them how much they pay.
00:35:33.000 God damn it.
00:35:34.000 I forgot what I was going to say.
00:35:35.000 So what's the max you can make actually from, let's say for example, you start out 50, 70k, what can you get to eventually, maybe two, three, four years into it?
00:35:44.000 If you're working for a company or if you're working for yourself, because those are two totally different platforms.
00:35:49.000 Let's do both, company and then yourself.
00:35:50.000 Okay, so company, I think Walmart drivers are pulling in 100k a year, man.
00:35:57.000 Walmart drivers are pulling in like 100 to 120k a year.
00:36:00.000 I remember what I was going to say.
00:36:02.000 The trucks?
00:36:03.000 Yes.
00:36:04.000 Because obviously you just graduate, you're probably not going to have that kind of money to have your own truck.
00:36:07.000 Right.
00:36:08.000 Are these companies that you work for going to supply you with the trucks?
00:36:12.000 Yes, they do.
00:36:12.000 I'm assuming?
00:36:12.000 They do.
00:36:13.000 They have hundreds of trucks.
00:36:14.000 Okay, so we'll give it to you, and you'll go that route.
00:36:17.000 Yeah, you'll go that route.
00:36:18.000 You'll have a trainer at first, so you'll have to stay with your trainer for, I think, five to six weeks or something like that.
00:36:24.000 Okay.
00:36:24.000 And then they'll assign you your own truck, and they just throw you to the wolves.
00:36:28.000 Okay.
00:36:28.000 And this is where I got...
00:36:31.000 These are the two questions I want to ask you.
00:36:32.000 First, do they supply your own trucks?
00:36:34.000 You said yes.
00:36:34.000 The second one is, is it more lucrative and should someone in the beginning, when they get these trucks, start saving up that beginning salary to get their own?
00:36:43.000 Okay, it just depends because there are a lot of people that don't want that responsibility of having their own truck because it is a lot of work.
00:36:50.000 Maintenance, care, tires.
00:36:53.000 And we'll get into the whole fuel thing, but let me tell you something.
00:36:56.000 I got one truck.
00:36:59.000 I have one truck.
00:37:00.000 I spend $13,000 a month just on fuel.
00:37:04.000 Sheesh!
00:37:05.000 Oh, wow.
00:37:06.000 Holy!
00:37:07.000 Just on gas.
00:37:08.000 So again, this is not for everybody, but when we get into the owner-operator side, I'm going to break down by steps what you can do.
00:37:20.000 And that's a very good point that you made.
00:37:23.000 Should they save up?
00:37:24.000 Once they start up, should they save up?
00:37:26.000 Yeah, and the thing is, it's going to be easy to save because you're not going to be able to spend your money on anything.
00:37:30.000 You're going to be on the road the whole time.
00:37:31.000 So if you can't save while you're on the road, there's something wrong there.
00:37:34.000 A lot of these truck drivers in the beginning probably don't even have a home address, do they?
00:37:37.000 Maybe a P.O. box.
00:37:38.000 They might have a P.O. box or they might have a home address and all they're doing is paying their rent.
00:37:42.000 The lights aren't on, so that's all they're really paying for.
00:37:45.000 Yeah.
00:37:48.000 To actually get into that, to get into trucking is something that you really have to consider because it is a lot of work.
00:37:56.000 We are not just holding the steering wheel all day.
00:37:58.000 It's a lot of work, man.
00:37:59.000 You can become fatigued very easily.
00:38:03.000 I have a friend that started driving trucks a couple years ago.
00:38:06.000 He went from driving trucks to actually owning the company and he buys trucks to lease out to other people.
00:38:11.000 He's making it every month now, 400k a month.
00:38:13.000 Yes.
00:38:14.000 How do you even get there, bro?
00:38:15.000 So what you do is...
00:38:17.000 This is the owner-operator side, I'm assuming.
00:38:19.000 Yeah, that's more the owner-operator side.
00:38:20.000 If you guys want to segue into that, then we can.
00:38:23.000 Before we do that, then let me ask this then, because I want to make sure we get the guys covered.
00:38:27.000 I want to just get into this crap.
00:38:28.000 So step one, get your CDL. You can go through it, whether you go through an agency that supports you, that's state paid, because I'm assuming truck drivers is a needed profession since they're funding it.
00:38:39.000 It is.
00:38:40.000 There's been a decline on them, right?
00:38:41.000 Yes.
00:38:44.000 That's political.
00:38:45.000 We're not going to get into that because you guys are on YouTube.
00:38:48.000 We're not going to get into that.
00:38:49.000 We can talk about that behind the scenes, but yes.
00:38:52.000 Yes and no.
00:38:53.000 They're needed.
00:38:53.000 Yes and no.
00:38:54.000 We're needed, but it's not as much as they're saying it is.
00:38:56.000 But yes, we're needed.
00:38:57.000 Okay.
00:38:58.000 So step one is to get your CDL, and you can go doing that whether the agency pays for it or you can fund it yourself and study for yourself.
00:39:06.000 Yes.
00:39:06.000 Go to trucking school.
00:39:07.000 Once you acquire that CDL, you name several businesses that will go ahead and hire you with little to no experience.
00:39:12.000 Yep.
00:39:13.000 They will supply it with your own truck.
00:39:14.000 You can stay in that world where you basically work for these companies and you're on the road all the time, etc.
00:39:19.000 And you can make somewhere between $50,000 to $70,000 within your first few years.
00:39:22.000 And then scale up to $100,000.
00:39:24.000 And then we talked about you can do the more hazmat stuff.
00:39:29.000 You're transporting oil, stuff like that, stuff that's flammable, etc.
00:39:32.000 You get paid more for that.
00:39:33.000 Yeah.
00:39:33.000 So you could do that through these companies.
00:39:35.000 And heavy hauling, too.
00:39:36.000 Heavy hauling?
00:39:36.000 Heavy hauling, it pays up.
00:39:38.000 What's that?
00:39:38.000 So heavy hauling, when you see your cranes and stuff built in these buildings.
00:39:41.000 Oh, okay.
00:39:42.000 And your tractors and your bulldozers and stuff that are really big, that's heavy hauling.
00:39:47.000 Okay.
00:39:47.000 And so, like, even airplanes.
00:39:50.000 And, of course, that's government contracting.
00:39:52.000 That's a whole other side of it.
00:39:53.000 Okay.
00:39:54.000 But even, like, aircraft and stuff like that, I mean, that stuff pays...
00:39:57.000 What are the different disciplines that you can get into before we get into the owner-operator side?
00:40:01.000 You got heavy hauling, you said hazmat.
00:40:04.000 Hazmat.
00:40:04.000 What else?
00:40:05.000 So you have heavy hauling, hazmat, government contracts.
00:40:08.000 Okay.
00:40:09.000 But if you're working for a company and they already have government contracts, that's actually a good way for you to learn about it, pick people's brain about it.
00:40:17.000 That way, if you decide that you want to get your own truck and do that, you can do it.
00:40:21.000 So you suggest if you're going to go the government contract route, Work for a company first.
00:40:25.000 See how the hell they're even doing it before you go into that.
00:40:28.000 Yeah, because Myron, here's the thing, bro, and Fresh, here's the thing.
00:40:31.000 This is what it is.
00:40:32.000 There are so many people that go belly up, bro, just because they see what they want to make.
00:40:42.000 And it's not a reality.
00:40:43.000 They don't understand what goes into it.
00:40:46.000 In order for you to own a trucking business, in order for you to own certain things, you absolutely have to understand how to manage your money first.
00:40:54.000 Gotcha.
00:40:55.000 And the way to discipline yourself doing that is to save as much money as you can by little things that's going to help you along your journey of trucking.
00:41:07.000 Because it's very good when you...
00:41:10.000 Our owner-operator is very good sometimes, but then you're going to hit those spurts where it's just like, why the heck did I do this?
00:41:17.000 That's solid advice.
00:41:18.000 Let me ask you this then.
00:41:19.000 How long should someone drive for a company or under the auspice of a more professional background before they go into the owner-operator realm?
00:41:27.000 Well, since we don't deal with the exception to the rule, right?
00:41:33.000 In general, for most of the average person.
00:41:36.000 So for the average person, I would say two to three years.
00:41:40.000 Minimum.
00:41:40.000 Minimum.
00:41:41.000 Okay.
00:41:41.000 Minimum.
00:41:42.000 But if you are a savant at managing money, then you could get into it as early as a year or so.
00:41:52.000 Okay.
00:41:53.000 Okay.
00:41:53.000 So guys, if y'all want to own your own trucking business, if you want to become an own operator, not necessarily even own your own trucking business, But if you want to become an owned operator, what you do is, again, you save that money because I wouldn't suggest anyone start a company in trucking or even becoming an owned operator until you have at least $10,000 to $20,000 saved up just in case something happens.
00:42:19.000 And it's always a matter of when, not if.
00:42:21.000 Okay.
00:42:22.000 100%.
00:42:22.000 10 to 20K saved up.
00:42:24.000 Okay.
00:42:24.000 And they can save that within a year or a couple of years.
00:42:27.000 Absolutely.
00:42:28.000 They can save that while simultaneously learning these things.
00:42:31.000 Oh, and by the way, it's a very easy way to build your credit.
00:42:38.000 Because if you get a couple of credit cards and you're just spending them out there on the road and you're paying them off, by the time you go to get a truck, you could put zero money down on a truck.
00:42:46.000 So that sort of thing is also critical for building up your credit as well.
00:42:51.000 So we got heavy hauling, hazmat, government contracts.
00:42:54.000 What else?
00:42:55.000 Are there any other...
00:42:55.000 You do flatbeds, right?
00:42:57.000 I do flatbeds.
00:42:59.000 Isn't that the most common?
00:43:02.000 Flatbed, I would say it's a toss-up between flatbed and dry van.
00:43:07.000 But then you do have flatbed and dry van.
00:43:09.000 Dry van is where you haul your goods, like a Walmart does.
00:43:13.000 Containers?
00:43:14.000 Yeah, containers too.
00:43:15.000 Containers is different, but you can make money off of that too.
00:43:17.000 Okay, let me write that down.
00:43:19.000 Okay, containers.
00:43:19.000 So, okay, is drive-in like driving food?
00:43:22.000 Yeah, so anything that's dry goods.
00:43:25.000 So it could be car parts.
00:43:28.000 People actually put cars in there sometimes.
00:43:31.000 Okay, for drive-in.
00:43:32.000 Yeah, yeah, drive-in.
00:43:33.000 And then what's container?
00:43:34.000 So container is just like drive-in, but a lot of this stuff is expedited.
00:43:39.000 So food.
00:43:40.000 We're talking food.
00:43:41.000 Yeah.
00:43:41.000 Fruits, vegetables, stuff like that.
00:43:43.000 Fruits and vegetables, but there's a difference between a dry container and one that's refrigerated.
00:43:50.000 It's just like a regular trailer.
00:43:52.000 And then you have a refrigerated trailer which hauls all the produce, the milk, the eggs, all that stuff.
00:43:57.000 And there's a refrigerator unit in the front of the trailer where you can actually adjust the temperature.
00:44:03.000 That way the stuff doesn't spoil or anything like that.
00:44:05.000 Hmm.
00:44:06.000 Yeah.
00:44:07.000 So you got container and that breaks down into, what'd you say again?
00:44:11.000 It was one that's refrigerated and one that's not.
00:44:13.000 Yeah, one that's refrigerated, one that's not.
00:44:14.000 It's just like dry van containers, they're all the same thing at the end of the day.
00:44:19.000 Okay.
00:44:19.000 And the only thing with dry van is that a dry van is just like a whole trailer.
00:44:26.000 With a container, you can actually take the container off.
00:44:29.000 You've seen container ships and stuff like that.
00:44:31.000 So you can actually take the container off of that trailer part and then put another one on there.
00:44:36.000 So drive-in is the general category.
00:44:38.000 Container is within drive-in.
00:44:40.000 Yes.
00:44:40.000 And then within container, you've got refrigerated and non-refrigerated.
00:44:44.000 Exactly.
00:44:45.000 And then you got flatbed.
00:44:46.000 What is flatbed?
00:44:47.000 That's like when you can haul anything, you said rightly.
00:44:50.000 Basically, you can haul trees on there.
00:44:53.000 I'm not talking about the sticky-icky guys.
00:44:56.000 But you can haul trees on there.
00:44:57.000 You can haul anything on there, like steel.
00:45:01.000 Behavior.
00:45:02.000 You stop playing.
00:45:05.000 And then, okay, so I got heavy hauling, hazmat, government contracts, flatbed, flatbed.
00:45:11.000 Drive-in, which also contains container.
00:45:13.000 Anything else in there that we can, as far as like different...
00:45:16.000 Oh, no.
00:45:17.000 Yeah.
00:45:18.000 Was there anything else?
00:45:19.000 So when we're talking about heavy hauling, you have to have a trailer called a low boy.
00:45:25.000 A low boy is just a flatbed for the most part, but it has a detachable part in the front so you can drive the equipment off of it.
00:45:37.000 Oh my gosh, I can't believe I almost forgot this.
00:45:41.000 Car hauling.
00:45:43.000 Fellas, or ladies in the chat, fellas in the chat, I'm telling you, car hauling is another one.
00:45:47.000 Car hauling is a cheat code, I'm just letting y'all know.
00:45:50.000 I didn't want to get into it, but car hauling is a cheat code, and once you know it, oh my gosh, bro.
00:45:56.000 Oh, is this like we're talking...
00:45:57.000 They're bringing in money.
00:45:57.000 Is this when we're talking like someone doesn't want to drive their car across country and you're bringing it across for them?
00:46:02.000 Yes.
00:46:02.000 Okay.
00:46:03.000 And that's what I ultimately...
00:46:04.000 I ultimately want to do enclosed car hauling so I can haul exotics.
00:46:09.000 Yeah.
00:46:09.000 That's like the dream that I want to do.
00:46:11.000 Okay.
00:46:12.000 That's my dream.
00:46:13.000 I have friends that do, for example, a lot of meet and greets around the world.
00:46:17.000 And they'll go to Vermont.
00:46:18.000 They'll go to, for example, California.
00:46:20.000 Yeah.
00:46:20.000 And they'll all put their cars on a trailer truck.
00:46:22.000 I think it's the one where, per car, 2 to 5k per car?
00:46:27.000 It's a lot.
00:46:27.000 Yeah, and it depends on what car.
00:46:29.000 Because if you're going to cross country, you're adding in the miles and you're adding in the rate.
00:46:35.000 And that's another thing.
00:46:37.000 You get paid...
00:46:37.000 A lot of people get paid unless you're on a 1099.
00:46:41.000 But if you're on a 1099, a lot of people pay you percentage.
00:46:44.000 They don't pay you per mile.
00:46:47.000 And per mile these days, man, I mean, it's went down so much.
00:46:52.000 But luckily for me, I'm blessed enough...
00:46:54.000 To have customer freight.
00:46:57.000 Okay.
00:46:58.000 Yeah.
00:46:59.000 Out of all these options here, what's the most, I want to say, lucrative one you would choose from to make money?
00:47:03.000 As much money as possible.
00:47:04.000 Well, there's a lot of lazy people in the world, so a lot of people don't want to do flatbed.
00:47:09.000 Okay.
00:47:09.000 Because that requires work.
00:47:10.000 I did that for a specific reason.
00:47:13.000 Okay.
00:47:13.000 Why did you do flatbed?
00:47:14.000 I did flatbed because...
00:47:16.000 Easiest to find jobs, maybe?
00:47:17.000 Yeah, it's very easy to find freight.
00:47:20.000 It's easy to find freight.
00:47:22.000 It's easy to find freight.
00:47:23.000 And when you say freight, you mean like finding loads that you can transport where you can basically get awarded a contract to drive it.
00:47:28.000 Absolutely.
00:47:29.000 But drive-in is the most...
00:47:33.000 Drive-in is the most repetitive one.
00:47:36.000 Like, you can find loads anywhere in drive-in.
00:47:38.000 Yeah.
00:47:39.000 Anywhere.
00:47:40.000 But flatbed, you can haul a lot of things and it pays a little more, too.
00:47:44.000 Okay.
00:47:44.000 Yeah, flatbed pays a little more.
00:47:46.000 And I can see why this car hauling is so...
00:47:48.000 Because, dude, everyone I know that always does, man, it's so expensive to move my car across, but it's a luxury.
00:47:53.000 Dude.
00:47:53.000 So you can upcharge them as much as you want because the people that are paying for this have expendable income, clearly.
00:47:57.000 Right.
00:47:57.000 Well, that, but see, with car hauling, it's not just for those people that want their car transported.
00:48:06.000 You got Ford, Mazda, they have their stuff.
00:48:09.000 Have you ever seen Lambos and stuff on top of the truck?
00:48:14.000 And you know what?
00:48:14.000 They want to put miles on the car.
00:48:16.000 Absolutely.
00:48:17.000 I got a buddy of mine.
00:48:18.000 I don't know why he does too much money.
00:48:20.000 He'll literally get a truck to take his car from Philardo to Miami, not to put miles on the car.
00:48:24.000 I'm like, bro, what's wrong with you, man?
00:48:26.000 But it adds up.
00:48:27.000 He does that.
00:48:28.000 But he don't want to put miles on the car.
00:48:29.000 Wow.
00:48:30.000 I may get it, but God damn, that's a lot.
00:48:32.000 Yeah, I'd rather drive, man.
00:48:34.000 I like the sound of the engines and stuff.
00:48:36.000 I'd rather drive.
00:48:37.000 That's just me.
00:48:38.000 Just in this past little bit, we've covered so much.
00:48:41.000 We've covered how to get your CDL. We've covered the different routes to acquire it, whether you're paying for it or whatever through an agency, how much it's going to cost you, etc.
00:48:50.000 The type of truck, how to get your first job, and then what type of trucks you're going to be driving, the type of hauling you're going to be doing.
00:48:57.000 It could be heavy hauling with a little boy trailer, hazmat, government contracts, flatbeds, drive-in, which also has containers, which goes into more refrigerated or non-refrigerated, and then we've got car hauling, and there even you can go with working with exotics or working for dealerships or working privately for people that just want to move their car across country.
00:49:17.000 Anything else?
00:49:18.000 So, I guess if you want to segue into being an owner-operator, we can do that.
00:49:27.000 But for starting out, yes.
00:49:29.000 I mean, that's just a basic breakdown of how you do stuff.
00:49:33.000 Because if you're just coming out of school and stuff, I promise you, people these days are not going to stay at one job for 25 years.
00:49:41.000 They don't do that anymore.
00:49:42.000 Right.
00:49:43.000 I could only imagine if you got like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini deal, the car all in.
00:49:46.000 That'd be crazy.
00:49:47.000 Yeah, yeah, bro.
00:49:48.000 I'd like to ask you though, let's say I'm gonna get into trucks, right, and buy a truck.
00:49:51.000 Should I buy used or new?
00:49:53.000 Oh, now this is the owner operator cut, right?
00:49:55.000 Okay, so real quick, before we get into the owner operator, we got a word from our sponsor real quick.
00:49:59.000 Bills, you got it?
00:50:00.000 One second.
00:50:01.000 Okay.
00:50:02.000 So Ninjas, you guys can see I got this offensive Rumble hoodie on here, guys, and Rumble has a store.
00:50:09.000 It's very fitting for you, Myron.
00:50:11.000 Yeah, it's offensive, exactly.
00:50:12.000 Very fitting for you.
00:50:13.000 Because I am offensive.
00:50:16.000 At least.
00:50:17.000 Yeah, it's gotten us in trouble a few times.
00:50:19.000 It's definitely gotten us in trouble a few times, but it is what it is.
00:50:21.000 So yeah, Rumble's exclusive apparel has finally arrived, guys.
00:50:24.000 They're now offering 20% off on all purchases in the Rumble store with the discount code DROP20. If you want to support the brand that is fighting for free speech and fighting for our First Amendment, this is the best way to do it.
00:50:32.000 They have TV sweaters, hats, plus much more.
00:50:34.000 Go to Rumble.store and make sure to enter DROP20 as the promo code to get 20% off your entire order.
00:50:39.000 Right now I got the...
00:50:40.000 This is a size large.
00:50:41.000 You guys know I'm 6'3", about 195-ish.
00:50:45.000 So this is a size large for me.
00:50:46.000 Fits fine.
00:50:47.000 This is an offensive hoodie, so just so you guys have an idea.
00:50:49.000 But yeah, man, go get the merch, guys.
00:50:52.000 Support Free Speech, man.
00:50:53.000 Like I said, you ain't gonna see me wearing anything else besides Rumble stuff and Fresher Fit mostly, right?
00:50:57.000 Unless I get to support one of our guys that we work with.
00:51:00.000 But yeah, go get the merch, guys.
00:51:01.000 Support Rumble, man.
00:51:02.000 Support Free Speech.
00:51:03.000 And yeah, man, fight against big tech and censorship, man, because this shit is annoying, especially it's an election year, man.
00:51:07.000 True freedom.
00:51:08.000 Yeah, guys, check them out.
00:51:12.000 So the first chapter here, right, please put this in the timestamps or clip that part for you guys.
00:51:18.000 We covered how to get into trucking as a brand new person.
00:51:21.000 You want to just make some money, et cetera.
00:51:23.000 CDL. As an employee.
00:51:24.000 How to start.
00:51:25.000 Yeah.
00:51:25.000 How much money you need to start up, you know, how long you should be saving, you should be saving how much you'll need.
00:51:30.000 So now, let's say they've been working for three years.
00:51:33.000 They followed your advice.
00:51:33.000 They did all types of different hauling.
00:51:36.000 They're confident now, like, you know what, man?
00:51:37.000 I'm gonna go get my own truck and do this shit myself.
00:51:39.000 These companies are making a bunch of money off of me.
00:51:42.000 I want to start seeking some of that profit.
00:51:44.000 What is the first thing they should do?
00:51:46.000 How should they go about it getting into now the more entrepreneurial side of this?
00:51:49.000 Okay, so the entrepreneurial side of it is just getting your own truck in general.
00:51:53.000 Step one.
00:51:54.000 Step one is just getting your own truck.
00:51:55.000 You pick out a truck.
00:51:56.000 Me, personally, I like older trucks because you don't have to run electronic logbooks.
00:52:01.000 You can run paper logs.
00:52:03.000 And paper logbook is, like, with electronic logbooks, they, I mean, they monitor everything that you do.
00:52:12.000 And you're required to take a 10-hour break.
00:52:15.000 Yes, you are.
00:52:15.000 You're required to take a 10-hour break.
00:52:17.000 Mandatory.
00:52:18.000 Mandatory 10-hour break.
00:52:19.000 You get arrested if you don't, right?
00:52:20.000 Yeah.
00:52:20.000 They're pretty serious on that.
00:52:21.000 Yeah.
00:52:21.000 Department of Transportation?
00:52:22.000 You don't get arrested, but you will get fined.
00:52:25.000 And that fine can be anywhere from, like, if you have log infraction, it can be anywhere from $500 to $1,500 dollars.
00:52:32.000 And let me guess, do you have to pay out the pocket or is the company responsible for it?
00:52:36.000 Well, the company's responsible for it, but some of them will dock you your pay.
00:52:42.000 From your pay.
00:52:43.000 From your pay.
00:52:43.000 They might not do it all at once, but they will dock you.
00:52:46.000 I got money!
00:52:47.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:52:48.000 So, of course, they're going to get their money somehow.
00:52:50.000 Yeah, and if you're a bigger company, you're always going to have those issues anyway if you're a bigger company because when you have...
00:52:56.000 3,000 or 4,000 plus drivers on the road, you're going to have those issues.
00:53:01.000 You have money set aside just for that.
00:53:02.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:53:03.000 And who is it that, just out of curiosity, I know it's the Department of Transportation, but is it most of the troopers that enforce that?
00:53:09.000 It's the Department of Transportation, yeah.
00:53:11.000 The troopers are only doing what they're supposed to do.
00:53:15.000 They just work for the bigger branch.
00:53:18.000 That's all they do.
00:53:19.000 Okay.
00:53:21.000 Okay, so the first thing is to get your first truck.
00:53:24.000 You said an older truck.
00:53:25.000 What year range are we talking right now?
00:53:27.000 So there's a thing called glider kits.
00:53:30.000 Now what glider kits are, what a glider motor is, is a motor that does not have DEF. That's supposed to make the fuel burn cleaner.
00:53:41.000 It's on all the newer trucks.
00:53:43.000 If you have a pre-def engine, you do not have to run e-logs, electronic logbook.
00:53:51.000 Okay.
00:53:52.000 So when we're talking about years, it'll be anywhere from like a...
00:53:59.000 We could be anywhere from like a, you can go as far back as 80s if you want.
00:54:03.000 Okay.
00:54:04.000 You can go as far back as 80s.
00:54:05.000 80s until when did these electronic log books be?
00:54:08.000 What year did they start?
00:54:09.000 So what year should...
00:54:10.000 Well, they started...
00:54:12.000 They started...
00:54:15.000 It has to be...
00:54:16.000 The motor has to be 1999 or...
00:54:20.000 Newer.
00:54:21.000 No, 1999 or older.
00:54:23.000 Okay, 1999 or older is pre-deaf.
00:54:26.000 So it means it's non-electronic logs.
00:54:28.000 Yeah, non-electronic log books, yep.
00:54:30.000 And you can usually find, I mean, you have people that custom, like they customize these trucks, but you can find an older truck for like 15 to 20K. So I mentioned, well, before the question was, should I buy used or new?
00:54:45.000 When it comes to buying used, can we get loans on those used trucks?
00:54:48.000 You can, but it can't.
00:54:49.000 So here's another thing.
00:54:52.000 There are trucks out there that are newer, like 2000, anywhere from like the 2010s to like 2020 or 2018, 2019, where they have glider kit motors in them.
00:55:05.000 So they still don't have to run E-Log, and then you get all the benefits of having a newer truck with all the essentials in it and stuff, like refrigerator and stuff like that.
00:55:14.000 Okay.
00:55:14.000 Yeah.
00:55:15.000 I'd go that route.
00:55:16.000 I just like older trucks because they're easier to work on.
00:55:18.000 Okay.
00:55:19.000 But you can get a newer truck.
00:55:23.000 Without the electric lock?
00:55:24.000 Yeah, yep.
00:55:26.000 And those are...
00:55:27.000 Do you know what year range those come into?
00:55:29.000 Or are they in any year?
00:55:31.000 So, again, they're from around, like, 2010-ish to 2019 or 2020.
00:55:39.000 Okay.
00:55:39.000 So you can't find these modern trucks that don't have the e-logs.
00:55:41.000 You can.
00:55:42.000 But I think the bottom line that we're trying to get to the people is avoid e-logs if you can when you purchase your first truck.
00:55:46.000 Yes, if you can, do it.
00:55:48.000 But if you already have something...
00:55:49.000 Well, the thing is...
00:55:51.000 Most people that are going to purchase a truck, they're going to lease onto a company that, guess what, probably has e-logs anyway.
00:55:58.000 So there's no way really to avoid it then.
00:56:01.000 They're going to track the miles anyway and as well services.
00:56:04.000 That's crazy!
00:56:05.000 So I guess the best practice is try to avoid e-logs if you can.
00:56:10.000 If you can.
00:56:11.000 But the reality is when you get contracted by these companies, they're going to e-log you anyway.
00:56:15.000 Yeah, now some of them do half e-log, some of them don't.
00:56:20.000 Okay.
00:56:20.000 So, you'll have a company that if they have a newer truck, you have e-logs in that truck.
00:56:25.000 If you have an older truck, they're going to let you run paper.
00:56:27.000 But if you're an owner-operator, do you have to use their trucks?
00:56:29.000 No, no, no, no.
00:56:30.000 Okay.
00:56:30.000 No, no, you don't have to use their truck.
00:56:31.000 What I'm saying is, like, with the e-logs, you have companies that...
00:56:37.000 That you'll lease on to.
00:56:38.000 You're basically a contractor.
00:56:41.000 So you're going to be on a 1099.
00:56:42.000 Which means you're going to have to pay for your own fuel.
00:56:45.000 You're going to have to pay for your own maintenance and all that stuff.
00:56:50.000 Most companies will give you a fuel card.
00:56:53.000 And when they give you a fuel card, all they're doing is just taking that fuel that you use for that week.
00:56:59.000 They're taking it off your pay.
00:57:01.000 Okay.
00:57:01.000 That's it.
00:57:02.000 That's it.
00:57:03.000 So you're responsible for everything.
00:57:05.000 Everything.
00:57:06.000 Now, can you describe real quick to the people what a log is in general?
00:57:12.000 So you've got paper logs and electronic logs, but what is that specifically?
00:57:15.000 So a log book, you have 24 hours in a day, as we all know.
00:57:19.000 You have 24 hours in a day.
00:57:21.000 You are allowed a 14-hour day.
00:57:26.000 You're allowed a 14-hour day, which means you get three hours to do unloading, loading, and taking your 30-minute break.
00:57:34.000 Okay.
00:57:35.000 You have 11 hours to drive.
00:57:37.000 Okay.
00:57:38.000 And you have to take that 10-hour break.
00:57:40.000 Now, you could take a break before your 11 hours are up, or you can take it before you even drive eight hours, five hours, six hours.
00:57:49.000 It just depends on how far your run is.
00:57:51.000 At that time.
00:57:52.000 Okay.
00:57:53.000 But basically you're just tracking where you stopped, where you got fuel, if you stopped, and if you have an electronic log, if you stopped, it's going to show when you stopped anyway.
00:58:04.000 Okay.
00:58:04.000 But you say, oh, I stopped for the bathroom, or I stopped to get something to eat.
00:58:09.000 Yeah.
00:58:09.000 But when most people get something to eat, they're doing it on their 30-minute break.
00:58:13.000 Okay.
00:58:13.000 Now what they changed is, and this was in the past couple years, what they changed with e-logs And logs in general, if you're at a shipper sitting for more than 30 minutes, that's already included in your break.
00:58:28.000 So you don't even have to take a break now if you don't want to.
00:58:30.000 If you were sitting for longer than 30 minutes at your stop.
00:58:33.000 Okay.
00:58:34.000 When you say a shipper break, you mean like somewhere where they're...
00:58:37.000 Somewhere where you're loading, that's a shipper.
00:58:42.000 And then...
00:58:44.000 A shipper is where you're loading, and the receiver is when you offload.
00:58:48.000 Okay.
00:58:48.000 And sometimes, depending on what you're doing, depending on how many trucks are there, depending on how slow they are, I've been at shippers and receivers.
00:58:56.000 I think the longest I was ever at one was nine hours.
00:59:00.000 Oh, shit.
00:59:00.000 Waiting to get unloaded.
00:59:02.000 Wow.
00:59:02.000 This was at a construction site.
00:59:04.000 Okay.
00:59:04.000 But they pay you for all that, right?
00:59:06.000 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:59:06.000 Because that's not on you.
00:59:07.000 Yeah, you get paid detention time.
00:59:08.000 Okay.
00:59:09.000 And for me, so I don't move my truck unless I'm getting four plus miles a gallon.
00:59:14.000 I mean, four plus miles per, you know, for money.
00:59:17.000 Like, so yeah, I'll pay.
00:59:19.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:59:19.000 If I'm getting like $4 and I don't move for less than $4 a mile.
00:59:24.000 Okay.
00:59:24.000 Yeah, I don't.
00:59:25.000 But every run that I have, it pays over that.
00:59:30.000 Okay.
00:59:31.000 Yeah, because I have customer freight.
00:59:32.000 So now, okay, now that we're on the entrepreneurial side, now you need to start assessing how much you're getting paid per mile.
00:59:37.000 Absolutely.
00:59:37.000 Because before, right, when you're working for these companies, oh, whatever, they're going to pay me a set.
00:59:42.000 It don't matter.
00:59:42.000 And they'll pay you.
00:59:43.000 You have companies that will start you off at $0.45 a mile.
00:59:46.000 I mean, it doesn't sound like much, but if you run the miles, you can still make like $1,200 to $1,300.
00:59:51.000 And these are longer trips normally when you're...
00:59:53.000 I'm assuming they're going to abuse you when you're new.
00:59:55.000 Absolutely.
00:59:56.000 From New York to California.
00:59:57.000 You have no seniority.
00:59:58.000 They're abusing you.
01:00:00.000 You're going to make that money back anyway, right?
01:00:01.000 It's more money, but you make it.
01:00:02.000 And what they do is they're going to ask you, well, what regions do you like to run?
01:00:05.000 And we don't have force dispatch, but yet they'll dispatch you in a forceful way.
01:00:09.000 So they have force dispatch.
01:00:11.000 Okay, can you tell the people real quick, what is forced dispatch and how does the dispatching work in general?
01:00:15.000 Because that's something we didn't touch on yet.
01:00:17.000 A forced dispatch is when you have no say in where you want to go.
01:00:21.000 Okay.
01:00:22.000 You have no say in where you want to go at all.
01:00:25.000 Now...
01:00:26.000 You have some companies, once they see how good of a worker you are, they may let you decide what lane you want to run.
01:00:34.000 And lanes are what states you want to run, what regions you want to run.
01:00:38.000 Like for me personally, I only run Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.
01:00:45.000 I don't go anywhere else.
01:00:47.000 Okay, you're not going north, you're not going out west?
01:00:49.000 Nope.
01:00:49.000 None of that.
01:00:49.000 I've never went out west.
01:00:50.000 I've been out there several times off trips and stuff, but I've...
01:00:54.000 No, I don't drive out there because you got to think about...
01:00:56.000 Just think about it.
01:00:57.000 Think about this.
01:00:59.000 I like that one.
01:01:00.000 Think about this.
01:01:01.000 What's the thing, man?
01:01:02.000 Come on, give him a thing.
01:01:05.000 So think about this, right?
01:01:06.000 You have to...
01:01:08.000 Get your own sound effect.
01:01:08.000 I got you.
01:01:10.000 Stick it fresh, man.
01:01:10.000 You know what?
01:01:11.000 I need a soundboard, bro.
01:01:12.000 Nah, man.
01:01:13.000 You know what?
01:01:14.000 Next show, I'm having a soundboard.
01:01:15.000 Yeah.
01:01:16.000 Think about this.
01:01:17.000 Don't worry about him, bro.
01:01:18.000 Go ahead.
01:01:19.000 So think about this, yeah.
01:01:20.000 So basically, if...
01:01:24.000 Fuel is, the average fuel right now, average fuel is about, I think it's like 387 to 390 a gallon.
01:01:34.000 That's the average fuel right now.
01:01:35.000 Okay.
01:01:36.000 Average.
01:01:37.000 We're talking diesel, right?
01:01:38.000 Diesel fuel, yes.
01:01:39.000 Because that's the only thing you can use.
01:01:40.000 And then on top of that, you have DEF, which is usually higher than that.
01:01:44.000 So you're going to have to put that in there as well.
01:01:46.000 Okay.
01:01:47.000 So if you're driving...
01:01:49.000 Okay, so for example, people think they're making a lot of money.
01:01:51.000 Well, if you take this one to Cali from New Jersey, you can make $7,000.
01:01:55.000 That's all well and good, but...
01:01:58.000 It's going to take me three or four days to get out there or four days to get out there.
01:02:01.000 And on top of that, I'm going to be spending half of that in fuel.
01:02:06.000 Just getting out there.
01:02:07.000 So is it really worth it?
01:02:08.000 Or do you want to take shorter loads and then, you know, and then more runs?
01:02:13.000 More runs.
01:02:14.000 Yeah.
01:02:14.000 Okay.
01:02:15.000 And that's what I do.
01:02:17.000 I do a lot of quantity.
01:02:20.000 Okay.
01:02:21.000 That's what I do.
01:02:21.000 You do more runs, shorter distances.
01:02:23.000 Shorter distances.
01:02:24.000 With tried and true routes.
01:02:26.000 Yes.
01:02:27.000 Absolutely.
01:02:27.000 Because there are just certain places I'm not going.
01:02:30.000 Okay.
01:02:31.000 I just won't.
01:02:32.000 Like Northeast, I may start going up there, but the money has to be right.
01:02:36.000 It has to be right to go up there.
01:02:37.000 Okay.
01:02:38.000 Because then you're dealing with inclement weather and all this other bullshit as well.
01:02:41.000 All that stuff.
01:02:43.000 Alright, so we talked about the logs, force dispatch.
01:02:48.000 Now, and you said...
01:02:49.000 So, okay, so someone gets their truck...
01:02:52.000 We want a truck that's pre-def, right?
01:02:54.000 So that they can go ahead and not have to deal with electronic locks.
01:02:58.000 And not to cut you off, I'm sorry.
01:02:59.000 No, go ahead.
01:02:59.000 But I'm telling you, there have been, to replace def units, it's almost like replacing the motor itself.
01:03:07.000 Holy!
01:03:08.000 It's like 20 to 30k sometimes to replace def because the def completely ruined the motor.
01:03:14.000 And to be clear, the DEF is the type of fuel that it takes.
01:03:19.000 It's more environmentally sound.
01:03:22.000 Allegedly.
01:03:23.000 But it also comes with electronic.
01:03:25.000 It does.
01:03:26.000 And we were talking about the log.
01:03:27.000 So you got electronic.
01:03:28.000 So electronic automatically does it for you versus a logbook.
01:03:31.000 Yeah.
01:03:32.000 Now, why is a logbook superior to the electronic?
01:03:34.000 Because wouldn't the electronic be more convenient?
01:03:35.000 It just does it for you?
01:03:36.000 Yeah, it would be, but...
01:03:38.000 There's a reason why I say that I don't like anyone tracking what I do when I move and stuff like that.
01:03:47.000 More privacy.
01:03:48.000 Yeah, more privacy.
01:03:50.000 And for argument's sake, let's just say there's a big reason why I like running Paperlog.
01:03:57.000 I like to run, so I'll be back and forth before the sun comes up.
01:04:04.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04:05.000 Okay.
01:04:06.000 Yeah.
01:04:06.000 I see.
01:04:06.000 Okay.
01:04:07.000 You see where I'm going.
01:04:09.000 You see where I'm going.
01:04:10.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04:10.000 You're able to finesse.
01:04:11.000 I get it.
01:04:11.000 A little bit.
01:04:13.000 Can we give him a little break in case of the chats?
01:04:16.000 I guess we could.
01:04:17.000 I mean, we cooking, man.
01:04:19.000 Yeah, we cooking, man.
01:04:20.000 I'm good, bro.
01:04:21.000 Okay.
01:04:22.000 Be careful.
01:04:23.000 So, chat, go ahead and get your questions in because obviously this is a very educational episode.
01:04:27.000 I'm learning a fuck ton myself.
01:04:29.000 Holy crap.
01:04:29.000 And by the way, and I'm trying not to read the chats, man, but there was, I think there was a chat in there that said, well, he only has one truck.
01:04:38.000 You guys got to do better.
01:04:39.000 What you don't understand is I don't want the headache of having drivers working under me as company drivers.
01:04:49.000 Oh.
01:04:50.000 Okay.
01:04:50.000 So what's going on with me is I am hiring six drivers on in August, but they're going to already be on operators.
01:04:59.000 And what I do is I get a percentage.
01:05:02.000 So they get 85%.
01:05:03.000 They're bringing all their equipment.
01:05:05.000 The only thing I'm supplying them with is a fuel card.
01:05:08.000 And then they all have to come under my insurance.
01:05:10.000 But when they come under my insurance, that gets taken out every week.
01:05:14.000 Okay.
01:05:15.000 Yeah.
01:05:15.000 That's how that's rolling.
01:05:17.000 Now, I know y'all probably don't think one truck brings in a lot of money, but I promise you, when you're running right and you're doing things the way they're supposed to be done, it brings in some really good money.
01:05:32.000 I've seen some numbers myself, and I'm considering buying a truck myself, too.
01:05:35.000 Not for me to drive, but for someone else to drive for me.
01:05:37.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:05:38.000 And that's what a lot of people are doing as well.
01:05:41.000 But if you ever have any questions, bro, just hit me up about it, and I'll be sure to let you know, man.
01:05:46.000 But a lot of people are doing that, Myron.
01:05:47.000 I think that'd be something lucrative for y'all to do.
01:05:51.000 So you're an owner-operator, but you're hiring people under you that are running the loads.
01:05:56.000 So my question is then, what incentive do they have to go under you when they can just do it themselves if they're an owner-operator just like yourself?
01:06:02.000 Because...
01:06:02.000 Insurance?
01:06:03.000 Well, for one, insurance.
01:06:04.000 Number two, they don't have to worry about finding loads.
01:06:07.000 I have all of the runs already.
01:06:09.000 Okay.
01:06:10.000 I was going to say you got the connects to you.
01:06:12.000 I have plenty.
01:06:14.000 They give me so much, Pauls, that...
01:06:18.000 You can't do them all yourself?
01:06:20.000 I can't.
01:06:20.000 I can't.
01:06:21.000 I just can't.
01:06:22.000 So I have more than enough freight out there for everyone to eat, bro.
01:06:25.000 Gotcha.
01:06:26.000 Basically.
01:06:26.000 And that's why I'm here because I want people to be better than me, man.
01:06:33.000 This is not about me.
01:06:34.000 It's not about me the whole reason.
01:06:36.000 He doesn't have a course or anything to sell to y'all.
01:06:37.000 He's literally like, this is just a guy that loves what he does that's giving you guys free content.
01:06:41.000 No incentive at all to, I gotta sell you a course or some other shit.
01:06:46.000 That's why he's telling you guys everything straight up right here.
01:06:48.000 Yeah, and the whole reason why I started this in the first place was so that my mother could retire and so that my family will be good.
01:06:56.000 That's the whole reason I started this whole thing in the first place is so that my mom can retire.
01:07:00.000 She doesn't have to worry about anything for the rest of her life.
01:07:02.000 I think you should do some coaching though because you seem to know a lot of knowledge here.
01:07:06.000 Yeah, he'll be doing some consults with people if they got questions.
01:07:09.000 I'm telling you, when y'all first announced that I was coming on, I had about 50 DMs like that same night.
01:07:16.000 It was insane.
01:07:17.000 I was like, you know what?
01:07:18.000 I need to put everybody in a group chat so that way if they have any questions or if they want consultations and stuff, they can just ask me.
01:07:26.000 You know, but I just want you guys to eat.
01:07:29.000 There's enough out here for everybody to eat.
01:07:32.000 You just have to stop being lazy.
01:07:33.000 That's it.
01:07:34.000 I can see it now.
01:07:35.000 In stars and lights.
01:07:37.000 Pressure fit trucking.
01:07:39.000 There you go.
01:07:40.000 Alright, so we talked about the logs, electronic logs versus non-electronic logs.
01:07:46.000 They get their first truck, right?
01:07:48.000 And obviously it's very important that they get their first truck that's pre-DEF so they can avoid electronic logs.
01:07:53.000 Though it's still potential.
01:07:56.000 There's still going to be a high potential where when they contract with someone and they're working for them, even as an owner-operator, they're still going to have to do electronic logs.
01:08:02.000 But you want to minimize it as much as possible, right?
01:08:05.000 Yes, yes.
01:08:05.000 Okay.
01:08:06.000 And maybe in the Zoom call we can go ahead and go into the more details of that stuff we won't talk about on YouTube.
01:08:12.000 Okay.
01:08:13.000 So they procure the first truck, you said around $15,000 or $20,000.
01:08:15.000 Yeah, you can get one around $15,000 or $20,000.
01:08:18.000 A good one too, right?
01:08:19.000 Yeah.
01:08:21.000 It's hit or miss.
01:08:22.000 Okay.
01:08:24.000 I suggest that y'all go out there because a bank will...
01:08:27.000 They will definitely approve you because it's a moneymaker.
01:08:31.000 It's not something that's just luxury.
01:08:33.000 It's going to be a moneymaker.
01:08:34.000 Okay.
01:08:34.000 So how much should they really...
01:08:35.000 So what should they be shooting for then?
01:08:37.000 You're saying $15,000, $20,000 maybe to get your foot in the door?
01:08:39.000 To get everything started.
01:08:41.000 Okay.
01:08:42.000 But what if they want to get...
01:08:43.000 You know what?
01:08:44.000 I want to do this right the first time.
01:08:45.000 I want to get a truck that's not going to break down on me.
01:08:47.000 I don't want any shortcuts.
01:08:48.000 What should they have?
01:08:49.000 You want to pay about anywhere from...
01:08:52.000 70 to 80...
01:08:53.000 70 to 90k because trucks are easily...
01:08:57.000 Well, newer trucks are 200,000 plus.
01:09:00.000 Oh, shit.
01:09:01.000 Okay.
01:09:01.000 200,000 plus.
01:09:02.000 But 70 to 90k...
01:09:04.000 70 to 90k will put you in a really good position.
01:09:06.000 Okay.
01:09:07.000 So now I see what you mean when you said save up for three years.
01:09:10.000 You don't want to get into this owner-operator thing right away.
01:09:12.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:09:14.000 Again, you have to know how to...
01:09:16.000 It's just like me.
01:09:18.000 I want to get into real estate, but I know certain things about it, but I'm not going to just go out there and be like, Oh, I'm going to buy all these properties.
01:09:27.000 I don't know nothing about it.
01:09:28.000 Yeah, for sure.
01:09:29.000 You just can't bum rush.
01:09:31.000 And people always want quick money.
01:09:34.000 They don't understand that things take time.
01:09:36.000 Things took time for you fellas, right?
01:09:38.000 Yeah, for sure.
01:09:39.000 So they think that you can just get into trucking and make all this money.
01:09:42.000 Now, it can make a big difference in someone's life that was always working in a grocery store or something like that.
01:09:50.000 It can make a big difference.
01:09:51.000 That jump in capital and stuff, it can make a big difference.
01:09:55.000 Yeah.
01:09:56.000 I think working an office job, being inside all the time, and being in an enclosed area, doing that is way more fun, I would say.
01:10:02.000 Trucking.
01:10:04.000 It's like, it's my office.
01:10:06.000 No one's bothering me.
01:10:08.000 And I just couldn't work for anyone anymore.
01:10:11.000 I was done.
01:10:13.000 And I have an LLC. Because I didn't plan on putting on 50, 60, 70 trucks.
01:10:19.000 I didn't plan on doing that.
01:10:21.000 I always had a cap, and that cap is 10 trucks.
01:10:23.000 That's it.
01:10:24.000 Because anything over that, you have to do.
01:10:26.000 You gotta do corporate.
01:10:28.000 Ah, you gotta go to the corporate route after 10 trucks.
01:10:30.000 Okay.
01:10:32.000 Alright, so you get your first truck.
01:10:34.000 I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
01:10:35.000 Correction, after 20 trucks.
01:10:37.000 Forgive me, y'all.
01:10:38.000 Sorry.
01:10:38.000 Okay, so you can get your phone in the door with 15 or 20K, get your first truck.
01:10:44.000 But if you really want to get a good one, 70 to 90.
01:10:48.000 Let's say you get your first truck, 15, 20k, etc.
01:10:50.000 Whatever it is, right?
01:10:52.000 Then what?
01:10:53.000 What's the next route after that next step?
01:10:55.000 So, after you get your truck, they're going to want insurance first.
01:11:00.000 They're going to want to see that you have insurance.
01:11:02.000 Or...
01:11:04.000 Okay, I'm kind of jumping the gun because I'm talking about owning a business.
01:11:07.000 So if you get your own truck, there will be some people that will not hire you on because, maybe because of the year of the truck or what have you, because there are people that have policies, but...
01:11:23.000 Oh, that's a good point.
01:11:25.000 So what's the latest they can, what's the oldest they can buy then so that they can still be marketable and be able to find work?
01:11:31.000 I'd say a 2,000, and it depends on the shape of the truck and how good a shape it's in, like if it can pass their inspection.
01:11:37.000 But depending on what type of insurance the company has, I would say don't do anything under like a 2010-ish, 2012.
01:11:47.000 2010 is the oldest they can get.
01:11:50.000 Just to be on the safe side.
01:11:52.000 So someone that they get the money, whatever they want.
01:11:56.000 Fuck it.
01:11:57.000 Let's just give them to them.
01:11:59.000 Because you know people need the kiss, keep it simple, stupid.
01:12:01.000 What truck should they purchase as their first truck if they want to go into the owner-operator world?
01:12:06.000 What model year would you suggest is a great beginner truck for people that's still somewhat affordable, but they can get their foot in the dirt and get as many jobs as possible to build more capital?
01:12:15.000 Oh, I would say like a Kenworth T680, a Freightliner Cascadia.
01:12:19.000 Now, these all have death on them.
01:12:22.000 So, you know, we're just going the route of, you know, to get your foot in the door.
01:12:25.000 Yeah, most marketable.
01:12:27.000 Yeah, a T680 Kenworth, a Freightliner Cascadia, a Freightliner Coronado.
01:12:34.000 They're really good trucks.
01:12:35.000 I mean, those are some nice trucks.
01:12:37.000 And they're glider kits.
01:12:39.000 Okay.
01:12:40.000 But they're newer.
01:12:41.000 Okay.
01:12:41.000 They're newer.
01:12:42.000 And the glider kit again, one more time, what is that?
01:12:44.000 The glider kit is just a motor that doesn't have def in it.
01:12:46.000 Boom.
01:12:47.000 That's all it is.
01:12:48.000 Yeah, you want to avoid def when you can.
01:12:49.000 Yeah, because you can get a really nice, reliable truck.
01:12:52.000 Like, I would go Coronado.
01:12:53.000 That's a Freightliner Coronado.
01:12:56.000 Oh, yeah, those are the T680s that you just put on the screen.
01:13:00.000 Those are Kenworth T680s.
01:13:01.000 Thank you, Bill.
01:13:01.000 Thank you.
01:13:02.000 Yeah, man, good looking on that one.
01:13:04.000 Yeah, we'll pull that up so we can have more visual for these guys.
01:13:06.000 I got you.
01:13:07.000 I got you.
01:13:07.000 Shout out to Bills.
01:13:08.000 And you guys can see the Twitter numbers on there as well.
01:13:10.000 Shout out to Bills.
01:13:10.000 Just improving the quality all the time.
01:13:13.000 Thank you, man.
01:13:14.000 I appreciate it.
01:13:14.000 Thank you, Bills.
01:13:16.000 WBills.
01:13:16.000 Yeah, WBills, man.
01:13:18.000 Someone said a Kenworth W900. That truck is a very beautiful truck.
01:13:23.000 You're just going to have to have money to get one of those.
01:13:27.000 Okay.
01:13:28.000 Oh!
01:13:29.000 They're actually...
01:13:31.000 They're doable now, though.
01:13:33.000 They're doable now.
01:13:34.000 Okay.
01:13:34.000 Yeah, that's like the big pop of trucks.
01:13:37.000 Those and Peter built 389s, 379s.
01:13:41.000 So these are all good trucks to start with.
01:13:43.000 What are the price ranges of all these different trucks?
01:13:45.000 I'm assuming it varies, or...?
01:13:46.000 It varies depending on the year, depending on what's in it.
01:13:49.000 2010 for these.
01:13:49.000 So if we're talking 2010...
01:13:52.000 Which is the oldest they can get.
01:13:53.000 If we're talking 2010, man, those trucks are still selling for like...
01:13:59.000 They're still selling for anywhere between 80 to 90.
01:14:02.000 Damn!
01:14:03.000 Okay.
01:14:03.000 Yeah, because of the type of truck it is.
01:14:05.000 Those trucks are like the classic of, let's just say we have an American car.
01:14:10.000 Those would be like the Corvette of cars.
01:14:14.000 Okay, the trucking world.
01:14:15.000 Now you mentioned earlier that trucks in the 80s are good.
01:14:18.000 They are.
01:14:18.000 But would that fuck you up with being able to find jobs once you go the owner-operator route?
01:14:23.000 Well, it depends, again, on the company.
01:14:26.000 Now, there are some companies that, like for example, there are a lot of flatbed companies that, you know, they're smaller, like they got like 15, 20 trucks.
01:14:35.000 A lot of them don't mind just as long as it can pass inspection.
01:14:38.000 Okay.
01:14:39.000 So a lot of them won't mind.
01:14:40.000 And if the insurance will take them, that's another thing.
01:14:43.000 Because some of these people have had their same insurance companies for years, and they're just like, just because you've been with us for so long, we know you so well, yeah, just bring this guy on.
01:14:54.000 And that's another thing.
01:14:55.000 But you're just saying if someone's starting out and they want to be the most marketable, these are the units that shouldn't give you no problems with getting insurance and being a brand new owner-operator.
01:15:04.000 It shouldn't give you issues at all.
01:15:05.000 It really shouldn't.
01:15:06.000 So should a more experienced person purchase a vehicle, one of these trucks that's in the 80s like you said before?
01:15:10.000 Yeah, a more experienced person can because they know the motor.
01:15:14.000 They know what it's going to take to, like, if it's not exactly 100%, to get it to where it can be, you know, pretty darn near 100%.
01:15:25.000 So, like, I started off with a 1987 Freightliner cab over, you know, like the ones that look like the Terminator trucks?
01:15:34.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:15:34.000 Like flat-nosed trucks?
01:15:35.000 That's what I started out with, but it was stretched.
01:15:37.000 It was a beautiful truck, man.
01:15:39.000 Beautiful truck.
01:15:39.000 You know Transformers, right?
01:15:40.000 Yeah.
01:15:41.000 Optimus Prime.
01:15:42.000 It looked just like that.
01:15:44.000 That's crazy.
01:15:44.000 It looked just like that.
01:15:46.000 Just to go back real quick to the truck that you can drive.
01:15:49.000 Optimus Prime.
01:15:50.000 What about box trucks?
01:15:51.000 Is that a whole other world?
01:15:52.000 Box trucks is a whole other world, but there are a lot of people that are doing box trucks.
01:15:57.000 I've been reading up on it.
01:15:59.000 I'm not too savvy on it, but I've been reading up on it.
01:16:02.000 Oh, so it's its own discipline.
01:16:04.000 It's not the same as this.
01:16:05.000 It's not.
01:16:06.000 It's not.
01:16:06.000 But the thing about a box truck is you can definitely get into places where a big truck cannot.
01:16:11.000 And that's where they come into play.
01:16:12.000 And that's why they're so lucrative and so good to have these days.
01:16:16.000 They're bigger in major cities, aren't they?
01:16:17.000 Like in New York City, et cetera, is run by box trucks.
01:16:19.000 Absolutely.
01:16:20.000 It's terrible.
01:16:22.000 My dad used to go to Brooklyn all the time.
01:16:26.000 Oh my gosh.
01:16:27.000 I don't even know how he did it, bro.
01:16:29.000 He decided the truck and the trailer, and he had the back end off the side street where there's cars on either side.
01:16:37.000 That dude was amazing.
01:16:38.000 I can imagine buying a truck almost like buying a car in a way.
01:16:42.000 It is.
01:16:42.000 What is the mileage you should buy lowest and highest, you would say?
01:16:45.000 Most older trucks are going to have a million plus miles on them.
01:16:49.000 A million?
01:16:51.000 A million miles on a truck?
01:16:54.000 Yeah.
01:16:54.000 Damn!
01:16:55.000 Yeah, you've got to remember something.
01:16:57.000 It's diesel.
01:16:58.000 What diesel does last a lot.
01:17:00.000 Most bigger companies, it's also called preventative maintenance.
01:17:05.000 A lot of people, they do 15K in oil change.
01:17:10.000 I always do 10 to 12K. That's what I do.
01:17:13.000 I change my oil every 10 to 12,000 miles.
01:17:16.000 So I don't, you know, the motor will be as good as it needs to be for that time.
01:17:22.000 Just doing preventative maintenance will help you out so much.
01:17:25.000 It will help you stay ahead of the curve and don't take any shortcuts.
01:17:28.000 So my first truck can be a million miles?
01:17:31.000 Yeah, your first truck can be, but by then the motor's probably already rebuilt.
01:17:35.000 Got it.
01:17:36.000 Okay, that makes sense though.
01:17:37.000 So what's on the odometer doesn't necessarily reflect the engine sometimes.
01:17:41.000 Exactly.
01:17:42.000 And what most bigger companies do, and this is a thing that you guys should look into, guys that are watching, when...
01:17:54.000 With most bigger companies, they'll start to get rid of their trucks around 400,000 to 450,000.
01:18:02.000 So you still got some good uses in it.
01:18:03.000 That's when you come in and you pick it up.
01:18:05.000 Yes, absolutely.
01:18:06.000 And then that's when you guys should go in there and get it because it's going to be on a fresh trade-in.
01:18:11.000 Because they get trucks every two to three years.
01:18:14.000 Wow.
01:18:15.000 Okay, that actually leads...
01:18:16.000 Okay, so going back to the whole starting up as an owner-operator, etc., we talked about what trucks to get, how much it's going to cost, etc.
01:18:23.000 Where should they go to procure them?
01:18:24.000 You're saying these businesses, they want to get rid of them?
01:18:26.000 So basically, you can go to any place that sells trucks.
01:18:33.000 So they have Kenworth, Peterbilt.
01:18:36.000 They have mom-and-pop dealerships for trucks.
01:18:43.000 To be honest with you, a lot of them have really good trucks because it's going to be the truck that you want and they're going to make sure that it was taken care of.
01:18:50.000 Now, when you go to a dealership, sometimes they might give you a warranty just because you brought one of their trucks.
01:18:57.000 They may give you warranty.
01:18:58.000 Like MHC is a major one.
01:19:01.000 MHC is very, very good with supplying you trucks.
01:19:06.000 What about auction?
01:19:07.000 You can get a truck at an auction, but the thing about an auction is you never know what you're getting.
01:19:11.000 Even because it's not checked out or anything, so you don't know what can be wrong with it, that's when a mechanic comes into play.
01:19:17.000 You have to check for blow-by, which is when you take the oil cap off, and when you take the oil cap off, you see if there's any smoke coming up or if there's oil pushing out.
01:19:33.000 You want to stay away from those.
01:19:35.000 That's scary, bro.
01:19:36.000 Yeah, yeah, it is.
01:19:37.000 It is.
01:19:37.000 Like, that means that you're...
01:19:38.000 Digging on the whale, probably.
01:19:39.000 Yep.
01:19:40.000 Damn, son.
01:19:41.000 Yep, and you don't want that because...
01:19:43.000 Imagine spending all that money for a truck and then it blows up like a month later.
01:19:46.000 Oh, I have plenty of stories that has happened to me.
01:19:50.000 You?
01:19:51.000 Yeah, that's happened to me.
01:19:52.000 A few times.
01:19:53.000 How do you recover from that?
01:19:54.000 A few times.
01:19:54.000 Bro, it's one of the most difficult things to recover from.
01:19:58.000 This is why you save.
01:19:59.000 And this is why you have...
01:20:00.000 That's when a 10 to 20K comes in that you were talking about.
01:20:03.000 And to be honest with you, it wasn't always like that when I could just be like, okay, let me just get another truck.
01:20:10.000 Let me fix this truck.
01:20:13.000 Like, it's times where I was like, you know what?
01:20:16.000 I'm about to shut the doors.
01:20:18.000 But then I was just like...
01:20:19.000 This is all par for the course.
01:20:21.000 I'm just going to grind and just do what I have to do.
01:20:23.000 And if I have to get another truck, I'll just get another truck.
01:20:26.000 That's it.
01:20:26.000 And I've just been very fortunate to be able to sell the stuff I have and be able to do certain things.
01:20:34.000 And again, bro, it has happened to me.
01:20:39.000 All because of a little hose that busted.
01:20:43.000 Whole motor is done.
01:20:45.000 Get a Caterpillar motor, 30 grand just to rebuild.
01:20:48.000 Damn.
01:20:49.000 Yeah.
01:20:50.000 It's like getting a 304, starting all over.
01:20:52.000 Yep.
01:20:52.000 Too much miles.
01:20:53.000 Too much miles.
01:20:54.000 Telling you, bro.
01:20:55.000 Too many miles.
01:20:57.000 So, okay, so we talked about getting your first truck, how much it's going to cost, miles to look for, where you can get it, etc.
01:21:05.000 They got it.
01:21:05.000 They're ready to go.
01:21:06.000 They're ready to hit the road.
01:21:08.000 How do they start finding jobs?
01:21:10.000 So, again, are we talking about from them being leased to own to someone?
01:21:14.000 Are we talking about them starting their own business?
01:21:16.000 Because those are two totally different things.
01:21:19.000 Let's do leased to own and then do owner on Castle Club for the Zoom call.
01:21:24.000 Because time's ticking.
01:21:25.000 We've got Donovan too, by the way.
01:21:27.000 Okay, so I guess what route will most people go?
01:21:29.000 Most people are going to definitely take the route of leasing onto a company.
01:21:34.000 Oh, by the way, guys, don't be sold the false dream of doing lease purchase.
01:21:43.000 It usually never works out.
01:21:46.000 Lease purchasing is when you are with a company and they want to convert you over to owner-operator.
01:21:54.000 And what they do is they'll convert you over to owner-operator.
01:21:57.000 They'll say, oh, you're going to make this much of a percentage for the loads.
01:22:02.000 You're no longer a company driver.
01:22:04.000 But guess what?
01:22:06.000 Now all of the maintenance and stuff falls on you.
01:22:10.000 So basically you're driving one of their trucks that they're going to give to you.
01:22:13.000 Yeah.
01:22:14.000 Oh, hell no.
01:22:14.000 Okay.
01:22:15.000 And then the thing is...
01:22:16.000 You're leasing the truck to own it.
01:22:17.000 Yes.
01:22:18.000 So you're basically...
01:22:18.000 Your own operator at that point.
01:22:19.000 Your owner-operator.
01:22:20.000 Okay.
01:22:21.000 But now you're responsible for the truck.
01:22:24.000 You're responsible for it.
01:22:25.000 Yep.
01:22:26.000 And they can decide whether or not they're going to run you or not.
01:22:31.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:22:32.000 Sometimes you'll have a pick of where you want to go, but they'll give you crappy lows just so you can not make your truck payment.
01:22:40.000 Because those lease purchase truck payments are like $3,200 a month.
01:22:45.000 Oh.
01:22:46.000 Yeah, they're a lot of money a month, bro.
01:22:50.000 So you're better off just buying your own truck and then leasing on it.
01:22:54.000 And then going on and working for them that way versus getting the truck through them and then paying them.
01:22:59.000 And they're going to be probably e-logging you the whole time.
01:23:02.000 Yeah.
01:23:04.000 You're really still going to be under their thumb, but you're just going to have the opportunity and the illusion to make more money.
01:23:11.000 Damn.
01:23:12.000 Yeah.
01:23:13.000 Some people it works out, but the majority it's a freaking nightmare.
01:23:16.000 I know because I tried it.
01:23:18.000 I can only imagine you doing that and then let's say, for example, your truck breaks down on the road.
01:23:22.000 Oh yeah, you're responsible for that.
01:23:23.000 It's like you're responsible for everything, but you don't have the same independence.
01:23:25.000 Yeah, and here's the thing.
01:23:27.000 Stepdaddy.
01:23:28.000 Stepdaddy.
01:23:29.000 What'll happen is, what'll happen is with that is they will basically say, oh yeah, we'll pay for the repair.
01:23:38.000 But guess what?
01:23:41.000 It comes out of your pay.
01:23:42.000 Because what they do is they start a maintenance fund for you.
01:23:45.000 Some of the money is going into a maintenance account for you.
01:23:50.000 But that'll easily get drained if you're having back-to-back breakdowns.
01:23:55.000 And if your motor blows, you're done.
01:23:59.000 You're going to be in the negative.
01:24:01.000 And guess what people do?
01:24:03.000 They skate.
01:24:04.000 They leave.
01:24:05.000 They don't even finish the lease purchase.
01:24:07.000 They leave.
01:24:08.000 Wow.
01:24:09.000 Or they'll go back to being a company driver.
01:24:14.000 That's what happens most of the time.
01:24:16.000 It's a lot in this, bro.
01:24:17.000 I mean, it's a lot.
01:24:19.000 We could do 35 episodes on this, bro.
01:24:21.000 Yeah, I could see where there's just so many pitfalls where you can literally mess up if you don't know what you're doing.
01:24:26.000 That's why I said for the majority, man, you really can make money doing this, bro.
01:24:33.000 But to be a owner-operator, to be someone that absolutely wants to make money in this thing, you have to put in the time.
01:24:43.000 You've got to pick people's brains, and you can't be scared to ask questions.
01:24:45.000 And I see why you said people need to company drive for a while.
01:24:47.000 Yes, yes.
01:24:47.000 Yo, don't want to mark her for J.M. Rand.
01:24:49.000 This is some good content.
01:24:53.000 If you learn all this knowledge, either you're going to go through it with experience and fail, or, I mean, you can learn this at school, right?
01:25:00.000 No, you can't learn this at school.
01:25:02.000 This is all things that you learn while you're out there.
01:25:04.000 I've learned so many great lessons off of the failures that have come my way, and it's just not giving up.
01:25:12.000 And you took all the L's so they could take W's.
01:25:15.000 Shout out to you, man.
01:25:16.000 And again, this is for y'all, guys.
01:25:18.000 I mean, I absolutely love these dudes, but this is for you.
01:25:21.000 Pause.
01:25:21.000 Pause, yes.
01:25:24.000 You know, bro, I love the content and everything, but this is for you guys, man.
01:25:29.000 I'm doing this for y'all because I want y'all to be way better than me at this.
01:25:33.000 If you're thinking about going into trucking, please just take your time.
01:25:39.000 Think about if it's something that you really want to do.
01:25:41.000 Because I promise you, I promise you, if you are successful with it, you are going to love it.
01:25:47.000 And it's not even going to become a job anymore.
01:25:49.000 It's just going to be something that you love to do.
01:25:51.000 And I like traveling too, so that's why I did it.
01:25:53.000 Yeah.
01:25:54.000 That's really what I got into it.
01:25:54.000 But I could see why it's not easy, man.
01:25:57.000 It's definitely not easy.
01:25:58.000 And there's so many different routes you can go, different disciplines you can go.
01:26:02.000 But at the same time, there's a lot of pitfalls where you can literally mess yourself up.
01:26:05.000 Yeah.
01:26:05.000 I like when he said, it's not what's driving behind the wheel.
01:26:07.000 It's way more to that because it is.
01:26:09.000 Yeah.
01:26:09.000 Especially transitioning from being a company driver over to owner-operator, getting your first truck, trying to find jobs, etc.
01:26:16.000 I guess we could talk more about finding the jobs.
01:26:19.000 I'll go ahead and read some of these chats real fast.
01:26:23.000 This is Money Monday.
01:26:24.000 What's more important than making money, keeping it?
01:26:26.000 My friend just lost two contracts that would have brought him $360,000 a year all over a woman.
01:26:31.000 Be careful, my friends.
01:26:32.000 Yeah, man.
01:26:32.000 Rigo Savage.
01:26:33.000 Shout out to you, man.
01:26:34.000 A hundred bucks.
01:26:38.000 Car hauling is no joke.
01:26:39.000 He is right on it with the money.
01:26:40.000 It's insane.
01:26:41.000 But so much more goes into it than you can ever realize.
01:26:43.000 I'm an owner-operator.
01:26:44.000 I own four 80-foot trucks in the car hauling industry.
01:26:47.000 Always overweight, over height, over length.
01:26:49.000 Very stressful industry.
01:26:51.000 Because you've got to meet certain standards and requirements.
01:26:53.000 Yeah.
01:26:54.000 Oh, yeah.
01:26:54.000 As a truck driver, you have to be willing to be away from people you and you will lose people you love.
01:27:02.000 Okay.
01:27:02.000 So just to add to that point as well, he lost two wives doing trucking, my cousin.
01:27:09.000 Wow.
01:27:09.000 And it's hard because you're not home.
01:27:11.000 So they're going to be bored.
01:27:13.000 They're going to be like...
01:27:14.000 It's just tough, man.
01:27:15.000 Yeah, it is.
01:27:15.000 My parents were married for almost 40 years.
01:27:18.000 No, they were married for 40 years.
01:27:20.000 They were together longer.
01:27:21.000 My pop passed away a few years ago, but I appreciate you.
01:27:27.000 And what happened was, you know, he was gone, but he was never gone for weeks at a time.
01:27:32.000 He always made sure he was home in order to be able to raise us, take care of us, and do what he had to do and still be there for my mother.
01:27:41.000 Wow.
01:27:41.000 Yeah.
01:27:43.000 And that's what I learned.
01:27:45.000 I learned everything from him, man.
01:27:46.000 Tough.
01:27:47.000 All right.
01:27:48.000 What else do we got here?
01:27:50.000 Okay, you live in Florida thinking that you're going to drive local.
01:27:53.000 You better be working out freaking Walmart, bro.
01:27:56.000 That puts you all the way in Alabama.
01:27:58.000 Yeah.
01:27:58.000 Big Bills, Myron, y'all should have a BTS video type vlog where y'all are IRL like another cameraman filming a video.
01:28:05.000 Show the Miami Nightlife girl supporters in the behind the scenes of the actual IRL. That would be fire to Nightlife IRL BTS videos a month.
01:28:11.000 I think the cast club ninjas will like that.
01:28:13.000 You can post it on YouTube.
01:28:14.000 Rumble X has since X pays.
01:28:16.000 What?
01:28:17.000 I think we got a TTS real quick, too.
01:28:19.000 Oh, TTS right here?
01:28:21.000 - You're a Bulba?
01:28:24.000 You're a Bubbly? - W Fresh Fit, question.
01:28:27.000 I'm about to go to CDL school and I have a company lined up to drive for, but how much should I save up once I buy my first truck in case of mechanical breakdowns and how long did it take you to be profitable on your first truck? - Good question.
01:28:41.000 Um, so, like I said, you should save up by anywhere from 10 to 20k.
01:28:48.000 I know that little 10k is a stretch, but 10 to 20k at minimum.
01:28:53.000 With his first truck.
01:28:54.000 Yeah, with his first truck.
01:28:56.000 Because 20k is going to cover a lot of expenses.
01:29:00.000 A lot of expenses.
01:29:01.000 So you should be very good with 20k.
01:29:04.000 So this should have 20...
01:29:06.000 After they buy their truck.
01:29:07.000 Yeah.
01:29:08.000 Oh yeah.
01:29:09.000 And keep building on that too because you never know if that truck goes down and you decide.
01:29:14.000 So don't buy a truck and then have no money after.
01:29:16.000 Right.
01:29:16.000 Please don't.
01:29:17.000 You better have 20K after you buy the truck.
01:29:19.000 Please do.
01:29:20.000 That's the whole point.
01:29:21.000 And to answer the second part of your question, it didn't take long for me to see a prop.
01:29:27.000 I think it took me...
01:29:30.000 Three, four weeks.
01:29:32.000 And would you say that's because you earned your stripes driving company first?
01:29:38.000 I did, but the thing about it is...
01:29:40.000 But your dad obviously taught you as well, so you were able to kind of...
01:29:43.000 But my customer, like the biggest customer I have, shout out to Freeman Industries, man.
01:29:51.000 So I was leased onto a company.
01:29:56.000 I was actually doing a lease purchase from a company.
01:30:00.000 And what happened was I was basically hauling freight from Freeman Industries.
01:30:07.000 So they said, when you get your own truck, let us know and we'll put you on right away.
01:30:12.000 So I started creating all these connections with shippers and receivers.
01:30:17.000 While you're working for the company.
01:30:19.000 While I'm working for the company.
01:30:19.000 W Networking.
01:30:21.000 And I always tell people this.
01:30:23.000 You are your own best advertisement.
01:30:26.000 If you cannot advertise and market yourself, it's not going to be too many people that can because you know yourself better than anyone.
01:30:32.000 Damn.
01:30:33.000 All right.
01:30:33.000 Alright.
01:30:35.000 Actually, the guy making $400k a month, that's what he did.
01:30:37.000 He used to start working for a company, but all connects that he made were in the company himself.
01:30:41.000 Like, for example, the clients, the contracts he made himself, he said, hey, this is what I'm doing on the side as well.
01:30:46.000 If you need any more help, let me know.
01:30:47.000 That's why he grew up to be so big, so he could make contacts within the company.
01:30:50.000 Yeah, that's how you do it, man.
01:30:52.000 You have to network.
01:30:53.000 You absolutely have to network.
01:30:55.000 If you don't, especially in trucking, man, you meet so many people in trucking, you never know who you're going to meet, where that's going to be your million-dollar ticket right there.
01:31:03.000 Bro, you should teach how to talk to people in the industry to make that connection for contracts, bro, because that's big.
01:31:08.000 Yeah, it is.
01:31:09.000 If you meet one good contract, you're selling.
01:31:10.000 Yeah, you're good.
01:31:12.000 And I'm on the verge of doing...
01:31:15.000 For other contracts?
01:31:16.000 Damn.
01:31:17.000 That's why I need...
01:31:18.000 I'm going to be hiring drivers, you know, because it's going to be way more freight than what I can do.
01:31:23.000 Okay.
01:31:24.000 We got here, Live Scene Gene says, What's up, FNF Crew?
01:31:27.000 It's your favorite pharmacist.
01:31:28.000 It was a pleasure meeting and turning up with you guys at the Yacht Party in April.
01:31:32.000 Yes, shout out to you, Matt.
01:31:32.000 Shout out to you, bro.
01:31:33.000 I also met Jay at the Yacht Party as well, and we have been good friends ever since.
01:31:36.000 Make him stay for After Hours, JB. Okay.
01:31:40.000 So that's JB. He's a pharmacist.
01:31:43.000 He does consultations as well.
01:31:46.000 So that's who I was here with.
01:31:48.000 He was one of the ones I was here with.
01:31:50.000 He's in Miami right now?
01:31:50.000 He just left today.
01:31:51.000 I'm the last one here.
01:31:53.000 We need to bring a pharmacist on.
01:31:55.000 Because we actually, you know, we should bring him to talk about being a pharmacist.
01:32:00.000 I told y'all, man, we're going to bring you guys.
01:32:02.000 All types of people.
01:32:04.000 All the guys that do expertise or career that's big, we should bring them on.
01:32:09.000 Yeah.
01:32:10.000 He's a young guy too, man.
01:32:11.000 Young guy.
01:32:12.000 You can make $100,000 plus as a pharmacist and you don't got to go through as much schooling.
01:32:16.000 It's only about six years.
01:32:17.000 You don't got to go to med school and all that bullshit.
01:32:19.000 During COVID. You know what I'm saying?
01:32:21.000 Part two.
01:32:23.000 Derek says, what's up FNF? Long time supporter here.
01:32:26.000 I'm 26.
01:32:26.000 Truck driving for five years.
01:32:27.000 Two of them being a regional company truck driver but had to quit to pursue civil engineering.
01:32:33.000 Truck driving is not for the weak but it pays real good.
01:32:36.000 Owner operation is the way to go.
01:32:37.000 Okay.
01:32:39.000 JBX says, I've been driving for five years.
01:32:40.000 I have all my endorsements that make around $96,000 a year.
01:32:43.000 Do the owner operators make significantly more?
01:32:45.000 What advice would you give for beginners in that?
01:32:49.000 Okay.
01:32:49.000 So, you've been driving for five years.
01:32:52.000 I have endorsements that make around $96,000 a year.
01:32:56.000 That's actually pretty good.
01:32:57.000 That means he's a company driver, right?
01:32:59.000 Yeah, but if he's making that a year, man, and he's doing that in company driving, that's darn good.
01:33:06.000 Because...
01:33:07.000 Having the headaches of being an owner-operator, bro, those are headaches that a lot of people cannot deal with.
01:33:12.000 And it will make you hate trucking if you absolutely don't love it.
01:33:15.000 It will make you absolutely hate it.
01:33:17.000 But you seem like you have the experience, bro.
01:33:23.000 So, my advice to you would be, get a truck that's going to be worth it, and do you plan on, my question is, do you plan on leasing on, or do you plan on, you know, actually going under your own authority for yourself?
01:33:37.000 That would be my question to him, before I could actually answer that question.
01:33:41.000 Okay.
01:33:41.000 Gotcha.
01:33:42.000 Alright.
01:33:43.000 Selfmade Forever driver, please explain to people why it's important for cars drivers to get up to speed coming into the highway.
01:33:51.000 Also explain why it's important to stop cutting truck drivers off to make sure to make their turn.
01:33:56.000 Explain things car drivers need to stop doing on truckers.
01:33:58.000 Car drivers need to stop doing nonsense like that because we have an air brake system.
01:34:04.000 It takes longer for air brakes to actually break the truck.
01:34:09.000 And mind you, this is 80,000 pounds.
01:34:11.000 So it takes way longer for us to break than it does for a car.
01:34:16.000 And this is where self-awareness comes into play.
01:34:20.000 If you don't have any self-awareness as a person that drives a car and you're in front of a truck and you're stopping, suddenly it's just like...
01:34:28.000 Yeah, what are you doing?
01:34:29.000 A great man once said, F run and find out.
01:34:31.000 Literally.
01:34:32.000 Yeah, F run and find out.
01:34:34.000 That is not a joke, bro.
01:34:36.000 If you want to see an early grave, there you go.
01:34:39.000 Imagine getting hit by a truck, bro.
01:34:41.000 Not good, bro.
01:34:42.000 Done for.
01:34:43.000 If you want to make local money, local driving trucks just not in Florida, that's from Zoe.
01:34:48.000 And then Zoe again says, I live in Florida.
01:34:50.000 I try driving local.
01:34:51.000 Every job is offering $600, $700 a week.
01:34:53.000 Bullshit.
01:34:54.000 That's why I'm OTR. I don't like it, but it is what it is.
01:34:57.000 I mean, on the road, I think Yeah, there are a lot of companies that aren't offering that.
01:35:02.000 And this is why, for example, companies like Pepsi, Coke, Cisco, thank you, sir.
01:35:09.000 Yeah, man, they make the money and they're home every day.
01:35:13.000 They make good money, like Pepsi, Coke.
01:35:15.000 Cisco is a big one, though.
01:35:16.000 Yes, absolutely.
01:35:17.000 I'm always on the road to see Cisco trucks everywhere.
01:35:19.000 Yeah, and their home...
01:35:20.000 Oh, Publix is another one, too.
01:35:22.000 Okay, okay.
01:35:23.000 Publix is another one.
01:35:24.000 Another, like, fresh out with little to no experience.
01:35:28.000 Well, you have to have...
01:35:29.000 For them, I think it's one year experience.
01:35:31.000 One, one and a half years of experience.
01:35:33.000 Okay.
01:35:34.000 But...
01:35:34.000 That, I promise y'all, that first year goes by so fast.
01:35:38.000 It goes by so fast.
01:35:39.000 They got crazy benefits for employees, Publix?
01:35:41.000 Yeah, oh yeah.
01:35:42.000 Crazy benefits.
01:35:42.000 They get paid well, too.
01:35:44.000 And then when you really get into it, two years of experience with no accidents or anything, that's another thing.
01:35:49.000 Keep your records clean, man.
01:35:50.000 Anything you do in your car, it will affect your record for your license.
01:35:54.000 Wow!
01:35:55.000 You have one license.
01:35:56.000 You don't have two separate licenses when you have a CDL. You have one license.
01:36:00.000 So whatever you do in a car, it's almost like you're doing it in a truck.
01:36:03.000 So if I got a DUI... Oh, you're done.
01:36:05.000 You're done.
01:36:07.000 Wow.
01:36:07.000 You're done.
01:36:08.000 Imagine you've got a great career in trucking.
01:36:10.000 You get drunk with some friends one weekend.
01:36:12.000 Get a DUI. You're screwed.
01:36:13.000 Yeah, you're done.
01:36:14.000 Damn.
01:36:14.000 DUI is a life killer.
01:36:15.000 Holy.
01:36:16.000 It's over.
01:36:16.000 You shouldn't even be drinking at all if you're a truck driver, to be honest with you.
01:36:19.000 At all.
01:36:20.000 You shouldn't be doing anything that's drug-related at all, period.
01:36:23.000 That's going to influence you in any way.
01:36:25.000 Don't do it.
01:36:26.000 Yeah.
01:36:26.000 Do not do it.
01:36:27.000 Okay.
01:36:28.000 Good to know.
01:36:28.000 And then the random drug testing comes up too.
01:36:30.000 I just had one two weeks ago.
01:36:32.000 Yeah, even if you're an owner-operator.
01:36:35.000 They'll send it right to the company.
01:36:37.000 It came right to me.
01:36:38.000 It was like, if you don't respond to that, they will revoke your license and they will, well, they'll revoke your business license.
01:36:47.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:36:48.000 They not play, huh?
01:36:49.000 Yeah, bro.
01:36:51.000 Makes sense.
01:36:51.000 Professional truck driver.
01:36:53.000 Yeah, the FMCSA does not play games.
01:36:56.000 Okay.
01:36:56.000 They don't play.
01:36:59.000 A million miles isn't anything fresh.
01:37:01.000 Diesel runs colder.
01:37:03.000 That is why it lasts longer than a gas car.
01:37:04.000 All right?
01:37:05.000 Cool.
01:37:05.000 Listen, guys, I'm currently driving for a company on the road, but I have a friend.
01:37:08.000 He purchased a truck with 800,000 miles on it.
01:37:10.000 He's making $7,000 to $8,000 every week right now.
01:37:12.000 Shout out to that.
01:37:13.000 Yeah, that's good.
01:37:14.000 We got PSIG. As you guys can see here, man, we're reading the chats mostly from Cats Club because that's the community, guys.
01:37:21.000 Jump in Cats Club.
01:37:21.000 Catsclub.tv, man.
01:37:23.000 Get in there.
01:37:24.000 We're having, like I said, we're creating groups all over the place, chapters all over the country.
01:37:28.000 Actually, Jay might end up, because he's closest to Birmingham, we might have him run Birmingham, Alabama.
01:37:34.000 So for all you guys out there in Alabama, we'll have somebody out there for y'all.
01:37:36.000 I think what we should do for some of the meetups, bring some of the guys like Jay.
01:37:40.000 Yeah, of course.
01:37:40.000 Experts in, for example, their field of Endeavor.
01:37:42.000 Have them talk to the guys as well for the free meetup.
01:37:44.000 Yeah, we got another trucker expert out of Seattle as well.
01:37:47.000 So you could probably talk more about the Pacific West Coast, whereas Jay specializes down here in the East.
01:37:52.000 They make money out there.
01:37:53.000 And guys, without like 8K watching in total...
01:37:54.000 Like the video, man.
01:37:55.000 Yeah, like the video.
01:37:56.000 Rumble and YouTube.
01:37:57.000 Okay, what are good alternatives if you don't want to go on the road?
01:38:00.000 I'm currently making 30 an hour, delivering drywall, driving a boom truck with a trailer, so I'm using my CDLA, and I have an NCCO ABL license, but currently everywhere I look, 30,000 hours around the cab, I have a good driving record.
01:38:13.000 I'm currently number three driver in my region.
01:38:15.000 Oh, wow.
01:38:17.000 So basically, dude, just get your own truck, bro.
01:38:21.000 At that point?
01:38:22.000 Get your own truck.
01:38:23.000 If you don't want to cap on yourself, please get your own truck.
01:38:26.000 And if you're doing all that, man, and you, I mean, bro, yeah, just get your own truck.
01:38:31.000 It's just going to be so much more lucrative for you to make the money that you want to make.
01:38:35.000 You'll hit six figures in no time.
01:38:38.000 All right.
01:38:39.000 What's up next here?
01:38:41.000 The Chief here, currently have eight months experience in growing hook and drop for FedEx right now.
01:38:45.000 I have my doubles slash triples in hazmat.
01:38:47.000 Going to get my tankers next and going to be applying to get my TWIC card so I can go through a military base and port down in Texas.
01:38:53.000 Would like to get a business and getting government contracts.
01:38:56.000 Guys, get into trucking and making good money right now.
01:38:58.000 That's from Chief Rocca.
01:38:59.000 Okay, car hauling is no joke.
01:39:00.000 He's right on it with the money.
01:39:01.000 It's insane.
01:39:02.000 But so much more goes into it you can never realize.
01:39:05.000 Then you can never realize.
01:39:05.000 I'm an owner-operator and owner for...
01:39:07.000 Oh, no, I read this before.
01:39:08.000 You've read that one already.
01:39:09.000 Yeah.
01:39:10.000 Big Things with Juan.
01:39:11.000 Jay is one of the most humble, outgoing dudes.
01:39:14.000 Don't let him handbag his success.
01:39:16.000 WFNW Brotherhood.
01:39:17.000 Join Castle Club Ninja.
01:39:18.000 See y'all on the yacht.
01:39:19.000 Yeah.
01:39:20.000 Shout out to Money Mitch, man.
01:39:21.000 Shout out to y'all.
01:39:21.000 He was here, too.
01:39:22.000 He was here too.
01:39:23.000 We got here.
01:39:23.000 It's Peru from the Zoom call about the trucking company.
01:39:26.000 Got my two parents in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
01:39:28.000 They got a trucking LLC looking if you do consultations.
01:39:31.000 I'm trying to help them out.
01:39:32.000 Yes, on Instagram, right?
01:39:33.000 I will.
01:39:34.000 How can I find you?
01:39:35.000 So just type in big, B-I-G, Tings, T-I-N-G-S-A, then G-W-A-N-N. Can we bring this page up on the screen for them as well?
01:39:48.000 What else do we got here?
01:39:49.000 And then, guys, we're probably going to end it after these questions because we've got Donovan in the house and we've got to do the second interview.
01:39:55.000 And then, obviously, we've got to have to ask that.
01:39:56.000 I'm going to try to squeeze in a Zoom call in between if we can.
01:39:59.000 But, yeah.
01:40:00.000 I sustained a work injury back in April and had surgery for it last week.
01:40:03.000 I decided once I'm clear I can go back to work, it was time to make the switch to go CDL school.
01:40:08.000 I applied today for a pre-hire and was approved.
01:40:10.000 We have an hour later, you guys made this stream announced with WFNFW guests.
01:40:13.000 I got you, bro.
01:40:14.000 And then what we'll probably do is we'll bring Jay back and we'll cover the whole owner-operator side.
01:40:19.000 Because we didn't get to cover that as much as I wanted.
01:40:21.000 We got you, guys, up to the point where you buy your truck.
01:40:24.000 But then now we've got to talk about finding contracts, routes to take, where to work, where not to work, etc.
01:40:29.000 That's a whole other episode.
01:40:30.000 I can clearly see that.
01:40:31.000 Yo, my iron, could you post a one-on-one episode with Chess Brown and Cows Club?
01:40:34.000 It was free.
01:40:35.000 I got you.
01:40:37.000 We'll get that up for you guys.
01:40:38.000 Can we get it for him by tomorrow?
01:40:39.000 Because this is like the third time they've asked for that episode.
01:40:42.000 Yeah.
01:40:42.000 Yeah.
01:40:43.000 All right.
01:40:44.000 WBigTwings, he's a solid dude, but he's got 23 children and 20 baby mamas.
01:40:50.000 Real bad man.
01:40:51.000 Okay.
01:40:52.000 He was here, too.
01:40:53.000 He left Sunday.
01:40:55.000 Left last Sunday.
01:40:56.000 Going to start a brokerage with a friend.
01:40:58.000 What exactly should I have in place before starting and what mistakes should one avoid making?
01:41:03.000 Hey, he took my name.
01:41:05.000 Going to start a brokerage with a friend.
01:41:07.000 What exactly should I have in place?
01:41:09.000 First off, you have to have the clients in place first.
01:41:12.000 When you're doing brokering, you have to have the clients in place first.
01:41:15.000 You have to be able to Know how to be competitive, but not be too cheap.
01:41:21.000 The problem is, is that when this freight, like people will take freight, like they'll just, remember when they were saying, oh, we need all these truck drivers and stuff.
01:41:30.000 Remember when they were saying all that?
01:41:31.000 They were like pushing everyone to do truck driving.
01:41:33.000 Do you know why they were doing that?
01:41:34.000 What?
01:41:35.000 To drive the price of the rates down.
01:41:39.000 So you have people that were fly-by-night businesses coming in saying, oh, you're doing that for $3 a mile?
01:41:48.000 Oh, I'll do it for $150 a mile.
01:41:50.000 So what happens?
01:41:51.000 Now they expect everyone to do it for $150 a mile.
01:41:53.000 So then when they can't have the freight moved, they have no choice but to build it back up, but it's never going to be that $3 again.
01:42:00.000 It'll be somewhere in the middle at that point.
01:42:02.000 Yeah, so just make sure you have the contacts and that you're very competitive with your rates.
01:42:08.000 That's it.
01:42:10.000 Okay, there is several ways to get into the industry with Rath.
01:42:16.000 Guys, please spell check your stuff, man, before you guys send it in because I can't be reading what the hell y'all be writing sometimes, man.
01:42:22.000 Your driver, operator, fleet owner, dispatcher, and broker, it's always good to know what it's like in the truck, but the easiest way to make money now is to learn a bit is dispatching.
01:42:31.000 That's all in the world, I'm guessing, right?
01:42:32.000 Dispatching?
01:42:33.000 Yeah, and again, I was a dispatcher.
01:42:35.000 Dispatching, oh my gosh.
01:42:37.000 Dispatching is more of a headache than actual driving.
01:42:40.000 Oh, shit.
01:42:41.000 Yeah, bro.
01:42:42.000 Because some of these truck drivers out here, they get mad at you for everything.
01:42:48.000 So that's why I'm always kind and polite to people that I come in contact with that may be brokering a load for me or that may be a dispatcher or something like that because they are absolutely...
01:43:00.000 Like, it's more of a headache, but sometimes they don't do their job either.
01:43:04.000 Like, they drop the ball on so many things.
01:43:06.000 It's because they're too busy.
01:43:10.000 Gotcha.
01:43:10.000 So sometimes they'll forget that you're even out there.
01:43:12.000 You gotta call 20 times, oh, I'm about to do that right now.
01:43:14.000 No, do it while I'm on the phone.
01:43:15.000 Gotcha.
01:43:16.000 Do it while I'm on the phone.
01:43:17.000 That way you can...
01:43:18.000 But when you're talking about dispatching, he's talking about people that work for, like, a company.
01:43:22.000 Gotcha.
01:43:23.000 Dispatching.
01:43:24.000 Yeah.
01:43:24.000 Okay.
01:43:25.000 What else do we got here?
01:43:27.000 Don't ever start as an owner-operator.
01:43:30.000 Never.
01:43:31.000 Okay.
01:43:31.000 Never starts to own an operator.
01:43:32.000 Thank you.
01:43:33.000 Okay.
01:43:33.000 Thank you, sir.
01:43:34.000 I'm an independent contractor.
01:43:35.000 This is from...
01:43:36.000 Oh, there we go.
01:43:36.000 Chesney Pack Trucker.
01:43:38.000 They still handle all the maintenance diesel loads.
01:43:40.000 I do write-offs.
01:43:40.000 Wife has all of the health benefits.
01:43:42.000 As a pharmacist, I bring home more money than her.
01:43:45.000 She's an independent contractor.
01:43:47.000 Okay.
01:43:47.000 Yeah, we were just talking about him.
01:43:49.000 Yeah.
01:43:49.000 Anybody else?
01:43:51.000 As a 12-year driver, trucking isn't worth it anymore.
01:43:53.000 Too many restrictions and low pay.
01:43:56.000 Eh, I guess it depends on what you're doing.
01:43:59.000 Debatable, right?
01:43:59.000 Yeah.
01:44:00.000 The industry is very saturated in this time.
01:44:02.000 There's more trucks than freight.
01:44:03.000 Most guys are fighting for scraps.
01:44:04.000 You can still make it work if your numbers are good and you have some sort of niche.
01:44:07.000 Is that true?
01:44:08.000 That's absolutely true.
01:44:09.000 Okay.
01:44:10.000 That's absolutely true.
01:44:10.000 That's why I said this has to be...
01:44:12.000 They did that on purpose.
01:44:14.000 To drive down the cost?
01:44:15.000 To drive down the cost.
01:44:16.000 And that's why there are so many guys getting out of it.
01:44:18.000 But I figured this was the best time to get in it.
01:44:21.000 The best time because everyone was getting out of it.
01:44:23.000 And I already had my niche figured out.
01:44:26.000 Okay.
01:44:26.000 Yeah.
01:44:27.000 So you think it's best to find a niche?
01:44:29.000 When you're getting into it?
01:44:30.000 It is, but again, you'd be better off just starting out.
01:44:35.000 100% would be better off just going with a company, getting that experience, learning how to manage your money, and things of that nature.
01:44:42.000 So it's saturated from the owner-operator perspective.
01:44:44.000 Not from the company perspective.
01:44:46.000 So if it's a big company, no.
01:44:48.000 I mean, you're not going to be scraping for freight.
01:44:53.000 From an owner-operator perspective, yes, it's saturated, but there are a lot of guys leaving.
01:44:58.000 So how saturated is it going to be in the next couple of years?
01:45:01.000 I think that's the importance of being...
01:45:03.000 I just see so many benefits.
01:45:04.000 Now I see what you mean when you said be a company driver first.
01:45:06.000 Be a company driver first.
01:45:07.000 Okay.
01:45:10.000 Bro, stop.
01:45:10.000 Cap, the trucking industry is over-regulated and freight rates are garbage.
01:45:13.000 Stop planting a fancy picture for people.
01:45:15.000 I got 24 years in trucking.
01:45:16.000 You got anything you want to say to this dude?
01:45:18.000 See the bullshit we do it, bro?
01:45:21.000 So I started this whole thing off saying...
01:45:24.000 It's not easy.
01:45:25.000 It's not easy.
01:45:26.000 He mentioned that.
01:45:27.000 I never, ever presented any type of fantasy anything.
01:45:30.000 I didn't even tell y'all how much I make.
01:45:32.000 So you can't say that I'm presenting this thing where...
01:45:37.000 Oh my gosh, it's the best thing in the world.
01:45:39.000 I said it's a headache.
01:45:40.000 I said I wanted to give up plenty of times, but I'm not giving up because it's my passion.
01:45:44.000 And it's not a job for me.
01:45:46.000 But what I'm doing, I'm going to be creating jobs for more people that are already on a rock bar.
01:45:51.000 That way they can eat the same way I'm doing.
01:45:54.000 Well said.
01:45:56.000 All right.
01:45:57.000 Got my CD on March after the Thor podcast.
01:46:00.000 I think all these chats are basically, all it basically confirmed for me is like, you got to start as a company driver first, especially now.
01:46:06.000 Especially now.
01:46:08.000 Spent $6,500 total on my school in Michigan, so take his advice and try to get it for free if you can.
01:46:14.000 Okay, this is for the, okay, so he spent $6,000 total for $6,500 for it.
01:46:19.000 Damn, that's expensive, huh?
01:46:20.000 Would you say that's expensive for a target school, or is that the average, you would say?
01:46:23.000 He said he spent $6,500 in total for a school in Michigan.
01:46:25.000 That's expensive.
01:46:26.000 That is a little over...
01:46:27.000 That's expensive, but they only used to be $3,000.
01:46:31.000 I would have to ask him the question, how long was he in school for?
01:46:34.000 And he better not say four to six weeks, because that is bull crap.
01:46:38.000 Can you tell us how much you were in school for, bro?
01:46:39.000 He probably was there for six months or some shit.
01:46:41.000 And he works for Central Transport, bro.
01:46:42.000 I hope you're at a good Central Transport where they have good equipment, because God dang, their equipment is trash.
01:46:49.000 Okay.
01:46:50.000 I'm not working on this.
01:46:51.000 Okay.
01:46:52.000 With one truck, I made $290K, running only nine months out of the year.
01:46:55.000 Freighter Coronado and or Columbia is a good glider truck to start with.
01:46:59.000 Detroit 60 Series is the best motor in my opinion.
01:47:01.000 My favorite motor, hands down, because you can rebuild it and overbuild it for about $10K. All right.
01:47:09.000 I mean, the best motor, hands down.
01:47:10.000 And that right there, him saying he made $290K with one truck is very doable.
01:47:17.000 Nice.
01:47:17.000 It's very doable.
01:47:19.000 Alright.
01:47:20.000 Valuable information here.
01:47:21.000 I've been thinking about leaving my profession as a registered nurse and getting my class A CD out to become a trucker because I'm an introvert and I'm not a people person like that anymore.
01:47:29.000 Uncle Luke.
01:47:30.000 Uncle Luke.
01:47:31.000 Coming in.
01:47:32.000 Alright.
01:47:33.000 Anything else?
01:47:34.000 No, I do not see anything else.
01:47:35.000 Alright, cool.
01:47:36.000 So guys, we're going to end it there.
01:47:38.000 We went over, you know, a lot.
01:47:40.000 How long did we go for?
01:47:41.000 Like an hour and a half?
01:47:42.000 Hour 49.
01:47:44.000 Hour 49.
01:47:45.000 Give you a lot of sauce, guys, on how to get started in trucking, how to get your CDL, the many routes to fund your CDL, what school is like, how to get started with a company, how to become a company driver, what companies to work for, how much is it going to cost you, how much you should save up to get your first truck, etc.
01:47:59.000 The next episode, I think, is going to be all owner-operator, the more entrepreneurial side, because I think we covered everything as far as a beginner truck driver needs to know, correct?
01:48:07.000 Yeah, we covered the first steps.
01:48:09.000 And those are baby steps.
01:48:12.000 Okay.
01:48:12.000 There's still a lot.
01:48:14.000 Especially, I'm assuming, with the entrepreneurial side.
01:48:16.000 Oh yeah, absolutely.
01:48:17.000 We've got one more chat here as well.
01:48:18.000 Okay.
01:48:19.000 Michael Lee says, WFNF, WBigTings, Iguan.
01:48:22.000 Jay is one of the smartest, most humble dudes.

01:48:46.000 Not all you guys are cut out to be influencers or whatever.
01:48:48.000 Let's live in reality here.
01:48:49.000 Not like little Yachty's dumbass.
01:48:50.000 He said in an interview, well, you can just make money on the internet.
01:48:52.000 Not everybody's going to make money on the internet, bro.
01:48:54.000 The reality is you guys got to have a skill set.
01:48:56.000 We're going to bring guys in to have different skill sets to teach you guys how to make money in today's day and age.
01:49:01.000 And the mentor knows what he's doing, too.
01:49:02.000 Absolutely.
01:49:03.000 Bro, can I say something real fast?
01:49:07.000 Everyone's goal is to be a millionaire.
01:49:09.000 That's everyone's goal.
01:49:11.000 But...
01:49:12.000 People have to be realistic as well.
01:49:14.000 How do you get there?
01:49:15.000 The problem is a lot of people don't know how to get there.
01:49:18.000 So you have to find something, you know, and that's why so many people hate, that's why so many people are upset at certain people's talents and gifts because they haven't honed in on their own talents and gifts and learned how to monopolize on it.
01:49:31.000 This was bestowed to me from my father, so I absolutely have honed in on this and All I'm going to say is next year is going to be crazy.
01:49:41.000 That's all I'm going to say.
01:49:42.000 It's going to be absolutely insane.
01:49:45.000 And just be realistic with yourself, guys.

01:49:51.000 Expand your mindset.
01:49:53.000 Please work out.
01:49:54.000 And please do not ever, ever say that you can't do anything because the sky's the limit if you put your mind to it.
01:50:00.000 Do everything with all your might.
01:50:02.000 Everything with all your might.
01:50:03.000 Well said.
