00:00:00.220 I've coached the game.
00:00:01.600 I've played the game.
00:00:02.700 So when I break it down on Don't At Me, you're getting more than opinions.
00:00:06.520 You're getting experience.
00:00:08.220 I'm blowing the whistle on the nonsense that passes for today's sports talk.
00:00:12.620 This show is about winning, accountability, and truth.
00:00:15.120 Not the usual nonsensical soft takes.
00:00:18.460 If you want real analysis from someone who's been there, join me.

00:00:26.180 It's free.
00:00:26.720 It's portable.
00:00:27.200 And most importantly, it's as real as it gets.
00:00:30.000 well ali beth thanks for joining the riley gain show president trump was at a rally this weekend
00:00:39.980 in michigan and nikki minaj was there i've got a video i know you know the one i'm gonna play 1.00
00:00:45.560 it really quick by the way i looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before nikki minaj 1.00
00:00:50.320 shit that's hard to miss 1.00
00:00:56.620 that's stand up that's hard to miss 0.99
00:01:02.760 the silver lining is you never have to know or like wonder what he's thinking i think that's
00:01:13.820 the silver lining in this when i saw this video i thought i before i even like thought about you
00:01:20.000 actually coming on the show. I was like, I need to know what Allie Beth thinks about this. So
00:01:23.040 tell me your thoughts here. Okay. Well, Riley, I have been actually totally unplugged from X for
00:01:28.960 the past several weeks for a lot of different reasons. I had not seen that clip yet. Believe
00:01:33.100 it or not. I had not seen that clip. That is breaking news for me. I am. I don't know how
00:01:38.360 you feel, Riley. I'd be interested to hear what you think about this. Like I kind of just feel
00:01:43.060 at this point that whatever the president says, I'm like, there's nothing that can shock me. I
00:01:49.000 don't I honestly don't think there's anything that he could say that would be like oh my gosh I can't
00:01:54.020 believe he said that like okay if Ron DeSantis said that I would be like I what like we all need
00:02:00.040 to write an op-ed about it I'm like Trump said it I'm like yeah that's really weird it's a really
00:02:03.780 weird thing to say why'd you say that it's so weird and so strange but also like I don't know
00:02:11.480 I kind of expect that from you I feel like I don't have like a ton of commentary on it besides yeah
00:02:16.520 that's weird but also trump that's um it is such a good point because kind of what you just alluded
00:02:22.360 to in in referring to ron desantis was the first thing that i thought of too um and quite honestly
00:02:28.000 i got a lot of pushback initially in supporting ron desantis um prior to right the the primary
00:02:34.640 right or the the general excuse me um but i just believed ron desantis to be the correct the better
00:02:42.260 or maybe i don't want to say better but the more outwardly christian or at least in terms of what
00:02:48.980 it seems as if it influenced his position on policy yeah candidate it was really nothing
00:02:54.260 more or less than that um but that was the first thing i thought of too i was like dang i don't
00:02:59.640 think santis would have said this i don't think most politicians would say which is also why some
00:03:05.420 people like love trump i don't love that i don't love that comment but also again i'm like what
00:03:12.900 what do y'all want me to do do y'all want me to make a whole video about something silly that
00:03:17.120 trump said i just am not going to do it i don't have enough energy yeah and i mean he's he's
00:03:22.700 kind of pointing out the elephant in the room like her backside is ginormous and so like he's
00:03:30.000 just saying what everyone else is thinking but at the same time it's like sir you're the president
00:03:34.440 of the united states yeah but this is also like what grandfathers i mean not my grandfathers but
00:03:41.040 like sometimes grandfathers they lose their they lose their filter it's like you're walking you
00:03:46.620 know in the grocery store and they have to point out that there's someone with blue hair and you're
00:03:50.660 like don't you don't need to say it like we all know but he's like no i'm gonna say it we're all
00:03:56.580 thinking this she's a huge butt here it is yeah of course this week we have halloween you found 0.79
00:04:02.680 yourself in the middle of like this trending it was trending it was all over my feed um controversy 0.93
00:04:08.040 on i saw it on x you mentioned you don't get on x so i i hope you had like a little bit of
00:04:13.000 blissful ignorance to the fact that this was trending on x for at least a little while
00:04:17.280 you managed to get christians arguing with other christians over scary movies um you said that
00:04:24.600 christians should not intentionally consume entertainment that cultivates fear can you
00:04:30.160 explain a little bit of your position and some of the backlash that we saw from this yes and like i
00:04:37.260 would say it's in the context of talking about like horror films i'm not saying christian should
00:04:41.140 never be scared you should never be left in suspense or you should never like watch something
00:04:44.860 that's tense like my husband and i almost every year watch band of brothers that's not scary but
00:04:50.000 it's also not pleasant like it's not like a happy feeling the whole time you're watching it you're
00:04:54.060 left in suspense there's gore there's all kinds of things but i was talking about the horror genre
00:04:58.760 and everyone knows what i'm talking about when i say that people were like oh you shouldn't read
00:05:03.640 dostoevsky and like literally never said that people were like oh you should only watch hallmark
00:05:08.840 movies never said that it was actually the clip came from my uh like relatable podcast account
00:05:15.800 where we just take clips from the episode but the entire episode was actually about halloween and
00:05:20.440 how i think that there is a redemptive way that christians can participate in halloween by sharing
00:05:25.400 the gospel and not participating in just like the darkness and the horror and the demonic aspects of
00:05:31.800 it i think there's a way for christians to participate and this was actually like an aside
00:05:36.020 this was a caveat i was like yeah i think you can participate in this light and redemptive way
00:05:40.400 but also christians should not be participating in all the darkness and demonic aspects of the
00:05:46.140 horror genre and if jesus is telling us consistently hey don't fear don't be anxious about anything
00:05:51.880 than consuming any kind of content
00:05:54.660 that is purposely inducing anxiety and fear in us every day
00:05:57.760 that some true crime, that some TV, that some horror films,
00:06:01.640 then that's probably not good.
00:06:02.880 Like it's probably not good
00:06:03.700 for the peace of your heart and your soul
00:06:05.280 had literally zero clue, Riley, zero anticipation.
00:06:10.520 If you told me the argument that I would start this year,
00:06:12.980 I would not have thought it would be over that.
00:06:15.000 I mean, people were going so hard for their scary movies.
00:06:19.280 I was like, I don't even know.
00:06:20.920 I don't even know what to say about this. The funny thing is X very, very angry.
00:06:27.400 Instagram, Instagram was not Instagram was the exact opposite Instagram and not one negative
00:06:33.220 comment, not one negative message, whether it was on someone else's post talking about me or
00:06:37.840 whether I was on my own post, every single person on Instagram was like, yeah, I totally agree with
00:06:41.800 that. So it also just goes to show how crazy, how different things can be. And another reason why I
00:06:47.320 don't spend a lot of time on x it is true i feel like each social platform at least for me
00:06:53.680 is almost like tailored to a different kind of audience yeah like i know what i can expect if
00:06:59.820 i post something on x versus instagram even versus tiktok um i think there's maybe like a little more
00:07:06.740 like you can be more anonymous on x it feels less personal and so i think people are more
00:07:12.140 like they tend to be more outraged and like angry and fire off things. Um, but yeah, Instagram,
00:07:18.240 it's more personal and you have more like sweet moms on there as opposed to men who are probably
00:07:23.900 living in their mom's basement. So, right. And you only see posts pretty much from people that 1.00
00:07:28.660 you follow. Whereas on X, you're going to see the posts from a person who that you follow follows
00:07:35.100 that you don't even really like. And so you already have that distance there. And plus it's
00:07:40.880 a lot of men on acts it's a lot of women on instagram and so there's just a difference
00:07:45.080 instagram can be crazy too but it's a different crazy i saw like matt walsh he was saying that
00:07:50.300 horror films which of course i generally agree with like 90 i would say of what matt walsh tweets
00:07:55.520 but he said like horror films are often the best display of christianity because you you highlight
00:08:03.400 good versus evil how do you kind of respond to to that take on it i just thought look i also
00:08:10.820 agree with the vast vast majority of matt walsh's takes and even when he goes in on things that are
00:08:16.020 mundane i think it's funny i wasn't expecting for him to go so hard on this like mundane thing and
00:08:23.700 and totally exaggerate and kind of like misrepresent what i was actually originally
00:08:29.380 saying um i don't think that i agree with that maybe there are some horror films that do that
00:08:36.820 But the display of evil is not necessarily pointing someone to the light.
00:08:43.520 Like, I'm not sure that the Final Destination movies are like a secret metaphor for the
00:08:48.380 gospel.
00:08:48.940 Like, I don't think the Bride of Chucky is like, no, if you really watch this, this is
00:08:52.900 actually about the parable of the prodigal son.
00:08:54.480 Like, I'm just not buying that.
00:08:56.440 Then, okay, anything goes, anything can be representation of the gospel.
00:09:00.300 Are there horror movies, horror books that do probably point to the reality of good and
00:09:05.680 evil and angels and demons?
00:09:06.820 probably so but i think we understand enough of what i'm saying to know that i'm probably
00:09:12.420 not talking about dostoevsky like i'm probably talking about the demonic stuff that i don't
00:09:17.640 think christian should be watching yeah like conjuring exorcism sinister insidious those
00:09:24.240 types of films uh when anna kate came out i think i was the first download i think i was the first
00:09:30.240 download i was waiting i was ready subscribed for the year you are just amazing how you're able to
00:09:36.180 to do what you do be the best mom obviously everything that you're doing even with the
00:09:41.760 share the arrows conference recently and all while 39 weeks pregnant you are superwoman
00:09:46.640 can you talk about just what inspired you to get into the world of periods and ovulation and cycle
00:09:53.160 tracking and pregnancy tracking what did you feel like was missing from the options that women
00:09:59.360 already have well you're so sweet i'm so glad that you're using anna kate you have been one of the
00:10:04.900 people that has just been on our mind as we've been creating this as someone who's not just a
00:10:09.980 woman and a mom and doing so many of the things that we care about, but also that you are, you
00:10:15.940 know, taking your sweet little baby along for the ride with you, which is something that my husband
00:10:19.960 and I are super passionate about as well. And as we were talking off air, like none of this stuff,
00:10:25.580 being 39 weeks pregnant, like launching an app, doing the conference, none of that stuff would be
00:10:30.480 possible. Yes, of course, without the grace of God, but just also without my husband. He's the
00:10:35.000 one who like leads to the charge on all of that. And I get to do what I like to do, which is talk
00:10:40.160 and think creatively and like come up with ideas. And then my husband's just like, okay, this is
00:10:45.160 the plan for how to carry it out. And so that's kind of what the last two years have looked like
00:10:49.200 as we've been building this. It was just, I guess, I guess the reason that it came to my mind when it
00:10:55.140 it. I was speaking at a pro-life conference, DC, January, March for life. I was on a panel. And as
00:11:01.200 I was sitting there, this idea just kind of came into my head. And I guess the reason is because
00:11:05.380 my husband and I have been talking about trying for our fourth baby. And I was like, I don't want
00:11:09.900 to use flow. I don't want to use clue. I don't want to use so many of these apps that might be
00:11:16.160 affordable, but at what cost, like I am having to navigate all of this propaganda. I don't even know
00:11:22.940 what they're saying is scientifically true because they're so afraid to say the wrong and
00:11:27.840 politically incorrect thing and why in the most intimate and special seasons of our lives as
00:11:33.480 women do we have to be the ones as christian pro-lifers to jump through the hoops and to
00:11:37.760 navigate and to like reinterpret their weird progressive language as we're just trying to
00:11:42.700 track our pregnancy and celebrate a new life and so that's what it came into my head and um over
00:11:48.840 the past almost two years now, we have been building what is now Anna Kate, which is a
00:11:54.080 Christian pro-life period and pregnancy and postpartum tracking app. It's amazing. Like I
00:12:00.960 said, I have the app. I look at it every single day. I will say I'm an avid, I don't have it on
00:12:06.120 right now, but I'm an avid Oura Ring user, which I think links to natural cycles. And so in our
00:12:11.420 first pregnancy, that is, you know, the app that I use and I checked. And I remember just being
00:12:15.940 shocked because you go in there and you know you you log your pregnancy and it gives you prompts
00:12:20.180 like little articles or like pamphlets I guess if you will that you can read and it was giving me
00:12:25.020 them about plan b and birth control and abortions even knowing the fact at that point that I had
00:12:30.860 logged that we were carrying our perfect precious little baby girl um so this is it is so necessary
00:12:37.400 and amazing when I first saw the app and heard the name I didn't know the meaning behind Anna Kate
00:12:44.040 I don't know if that was what you were going to name your next baby.
00:12:47.420 I don't know what this means.
00:12:48.300 So can you talk about the meaning behind the name of the app, Anna Kate?
00:12:51.860 So as I was trying to figure out what to call it, what I did is I just opened up my Bible
00:12:57.560 and I thought, okay, what are the English words that I want to represent this app?
00:13:02.360 Peace, rhythm, cycle, beauty, women, what is it?
00:13:05.860 And as I was going through those words and I was looking at the scripture that aligned
00:13:09.340 with all of those concepts, I ran into a Greek word in Matthew 11, 28, and it's pronounced
00:13:15.140 anapalsis. I'd probably say anapalsis in like my English dialect. And what that means is inward
00:13:21.400 rest while outwardly striving. And so that's what we're all doing as we're toiling through life,
00:13:27.040 as we're raising our kids, as we're doing what we do, we're outwardly working, expending our
00:13:31.600 energy, but the inner peace that we have comes from Christ. And that verse is come to me, all
00:13:37.340 of you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Rest for your souls is what Christ
00:13:41.840 gives us. And then the second word, kata pausis, is found in Hebrews. And that is the kind of rest
00:13:47.620 that we're all looking forward to, that we don't have here, but it's a ceasing from striking.
00:13:51.340 When we stop work forever, that's the kind of rest we look forward to in heaven.
00:13:55.700 So at Anna Kate, I want us to have like present peace with God, peace with our bodies, peace with
00:14:01.080 his creation, peace with our creator. Also, as we look forward to, this is like the biblical
00:14:05.440 encouragement aspect of the app as we look forward to that hope of forever peace and eternal rest
00:14:10.700 that we get to have with our savior only through christ and so that kind of balances it also means
00:14:16.160 up and down which is like our cycle too um and so that's how anna kate came about there's a
00:14:21.940 biblical meaning to it but it's also just a cute female name and so yeah that's the the long short
00:14:28.160 of it fall is here well like kind of i'm willing it to be that way and heading into cold and flu
00:14:34.340 season. I'm not just bundling up and hoping for the best. I'm getting my gut right. And cowboy
00:14:38.840 colostrum has been one of the easiest habits in my routine. I started taking it because I was
00:14:43.600 bloated every day. And honestly, I kind of just thought that was normal, like girl gut. It's not 1.00
00:14:48.540 since adding cowboy, my digestion feels better. My skin is clear. My hair feels fully fuller and
00:14:54.060 healthier. And turns out that's not just my experience. Cowboy actually ran a clinical study
00:14:58.900 and 83% of people reported improved gut health, 79% experienced less bloating and inflammation,
00:15:04.340 and 72% saw improved digestion, and 62% saw fuller, thicker hair.
00:15:10.080 Cowboy colostrum is true first-day whole bovine colostrum,
00:15:12.880 100% made in America from 100% American grass-fed cows.
00:15:17.400 It's collected only after baby calves have had their first fill,
00:15:20.540 and it's whole, full-fat, high in protein, and no artificial flavors, and no fillers.
00:15:25.420 I actually mix the vanilla into my coffee every morning.
00:15:28.580 Tastes so good. It makes it very creamy.
00:15:30.220 And for a limited time, our listeners to The Riley Gaines Show

00:15:52.660 and just how powerful it really is in talking about things like bringing life into this world.
00:15:59.700 Yeah, this was a really important aspect of it.
00:16:02.380 And I think what sets it apart from other cycle tracking apps, there are a lot of things,
00:16:06.900 but this too, we just wanted women to be able to come together and realize, okay, I'm not
00:16:12.820 alone. 0.73
00:16:13.160 There are other women who are struggling to get pregnant. 0.87
00:16:15.140 There are other women who are struggling with endometriosis or they're having marriage
00:16:18.220 problems or whatever it is that's going on in their lives.
00:16:21.940 I wanted them to be able to see that other women are going through that too, and that
00:16:26.480 there are women willing to take the time to lift them up in prayer. So some people probably think
00:16:31.200 because I'm pregnant and because we love babies and we want women to, you know, get married and
00:16:36.000 have babies, that this is only a pregnancy tracking app, or this is only a cycle tracking
00:16:40.080 app for those who are trying to get pregnant. But this is appropriate for women who are not married,
00:16:44.600 who are not having sex, who are not having babies, who just want to track their cycle. 0.91
00:16:48.060 They're just trying to figure out their bodies, learn about the entirety of their cycle and what
00:16:52.420 it means for them, learn about their hormones, connect to Christian community. So this is really
00:16:56.700 for a woman in any stage from period to postpartum. But one of the most special parts of the app,
00:17:03.580 I think, especially if you are a pregnant user, is that every week we have, starting four weeks,
00:17:09.880 going all the way to 42 weeks, we have videos that were custom made by us with pro-life
00:17:16.000 midwives and OBGYNs, surgeons, doulas, who have created these pregnancy updates every week.
00:17:23.980 They tell you exactly what's going on with your body, what's going on with your baby. They'll
00:17:28.600 give you advice, but also they give you biblical encouragement. I don't think that exists anywhere
00:17:33.160 else, not just in the tracking app world. I just don't even think that exists out in the world.
00:17:38.040 And when we have more time, I can talk about how just like the Lord orchestrated every single
00:17:42.940 professional who contributed to that. The videos are beautiful and they really are just so
00:17:49.340 encouraging. I've been watching them every week myself. So that's one of my favorite aspects.
00:17:54.620 That's so cool. Obviously now being this far along in your pregnancy with your fourth baby,
00:18:00.080 again, congratulations. Thank you. Do you feel like this pregnancy has been different
00:18:05.060 than the other three, maybe emotionally, even maybe the physical aspect? And do you feel like
00:18:12.160 you're, I don't know, like, obviously, we just have one little baby now. And so my mind wonders,
00:18:17.400 like, do you do you change how you parent? Of course, you evolve as a person, you probably
00:18:21.620 become more mature. And you know, you age in that time. Do you feel different with this pregnancy
00:18:28.260 than the other three? You know, you're busier every pregnancy, because you're chasing around
00:18:33.480 toddlers, or you're driving around other kids. And I actually think that's a really good thing. 0.96
00:18:37.640 I look back at my first pregnancy and postpartum, I was really anxious about a lot of things
00:18:42.380 about a lot that I didn't know.
00:18:43.820 And then I had a newborn right in COVID.
00:18:46.320 And so that was an anxiety ridden era.
00:18:48.500 I think that the Lord has just sanctified me a lot through motherhood and that I worry
00:18:52.880 a lot less.
00:18:54.660 Like I just have open hands about so many things.
00:18:57.960 That's not to say that we don't take parenting and discipleship and child protection very
00:19:02.000 seriously, because of course we're vigilant about that.
00:19:04.600 but the anxiety that came with birth and pregnancy and postpartum and all of that that I had in the
00:19:11.020 beginning I just feel like the Lord has really released me from a lot of that and yes that's
00:19:16.540 his Holy Spirit but it's also just experience as you go through hard things as you go through
00:19:20.500 sicknesses you go through all different kinds of aspects of motherhood you're like oh okay like God
00:19:25.280 really has equipped me he really has equipped me and we went through that thing that I didn't think
00:19:29.500 that we would be able to get through and we did and so you're always able to look back at those
00:19:33.600 mile markers and say, okay, I got there. I got there. I got there. He carried us through there.
00:19:37.800 And when you have more of those under your belt, I mean, the more kind of like Ebeneezers you have 1.00
00:19:42.760 to look back at, the more you can be confident in the future. And that's kind of how I feel as a mom 1.00
00:19:46.840 now. I feel like I've done a lot. There's still a lot to learn, of course.
00:19:52.060 But yeah, I feel like the Lord really does sanctify you and grow you through every year
00:19:56.400 of motherhood. Private student loan debt in the U.S. is around $300 billion with a B
00:20:03.260 U.S. dollars, and roughly $45 billion of that is considered distress. For a lot of people,
00:20:08.440 that means one thing, feeling stuck with no light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe the payments are
00:20:13.900 too high. Maybe a cosigner is still on the hook. Maybe every refinance option keeps ending in a
00:20:19.140 no. That's where YReFi comes in. YReFi, they help refinance distressed and defaulted private
00:20:25.100 student loans, and they look beyond a traditional credit score. They offer personalized solutions,
00:20:29.980 flexible repayment options, one-on-one support, and in some cases, even the chance to release
00:20:34.440 eligible co-signers from the loan. Your student loan debt does not, and it should not, define
00:20:39.540 your future. If you have been carrying this burden and you don't know what to do next,
00:20:43.960 you don't know what that next step is, YReFi could be the first real step towards relief.
00:20:49.180 You can see whether you qualify at YReFi.com or you can call today. A better financial future
00:20:55.500 could start with just one conversation.
00:20:59.400 Electrolyte brands are everywhere.
00:21:01.060 So I get the skepticism,
00:21:02.540 but Realight stood out to me
00:21:03.820 because it starts with the source.
00:21:05.840 It's made by Redmond,
00:21:07.040 the company behind Redmond Real Salt,
00:21:09.020 which has been mined in Utah since 1958
00:21:11.400 from an ancient Jurassic era seabed.
00:21:14.760 So instead of processed sodium,
00:21:16.260 you get unrefined real salt
00:21:17.900 with sodium, chloride, and 60 plus trace minerals.
00:21:22.040 The formula stays clean from there.
00:21:23.640 So that means zero sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, and no chemical preservatives.
00:21:30.660 You also get potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride, and coconut water powder in the flavored varieties.
00:21:36.980 I like to use it before my workouts.
00:21:39.180 I use it while traveling during a fast or on busy days.
00:21:42.940 It tastes balanced.
00:21:44.260 It doesn't taste too salty or too sweet.
00:21:46.620 My favorite flavor is actually the watermelon lime.
00:21:50.060 It is so good.
00:21:51.520 If you want to try, you can go to redmond.com slash hydrate and use code hydrate for 15% off
00:21:56.940 your first order. Again, that's redmond.com slash hydrate using code hydrate, or you can click the

00:22:08.460 difficult jump? You know, zero babies to one. Was it one to two? Because at that point you're
00:22:14.740 officially like, it's like one V one, two to three, you're outnumbered then, but they can kind of
00:22:19.500 entertained themselves, I would imagine. What do you think has been thus far the most difficult
00:22:23.260 jump for you guys? Yes. I was just talking to some moms about this this morning for us. I will not
00:22:29.320 say this as a general rule because it depends on so many factors, but for us, I thought the hardest
00:22:33.840 was one to two, but they were 20 months apart. And so there are pros and cons. I don't even want
00:22:40.840 to say cons, but there are just different aspects to consider when it comes to spacing your kids.
00:22:46.220 there are beautiful things about having our first three so close together that's also difficult it's
00:22:51.540 difficult when you've got everyone who is like on some spectrum of diaper and pull up it's difficult
00:22:56.600 when everyone is facing backwards in a car seat it's difficult when everyone still needs to be
00:23:01.380 like rock to sleep and dress and everything like that there's also something super fun and
00:23:05.800 beautiful about that chaos and then now i'm three years out from the last time you know i had a
00:23:11.700 newborn and i think four is going to be difficult in some ways just because it's another kid and
00:23:16.020 more logistics to think about. But also my older kids are like pretty independent. Like they can
00:23:21.280 all get dressed and go to the bathroom by themselves. So I think there's going to be
00:23:24.280 some easier aspects. So I think it just depends on the age, on the spacing, on how much family
00:23:29.460 help you have. Also the personality of your kids. Like if you've got to go along to get along kid,
00:23:34.940 then it's probably going to be pretty easy when you add a sibling. If you've got a sibling that's
00:23:38.740 like, I want to be totally independent. I don't want to share mom at all. That's going to be a
00:23:42.720 little bit harder but it's also really really good for that kind of kid to get a sibling so yeah
00:23:48.000 there's blessings and chaos in all of it honestly probably no right or wrong way to do it but for us
00:23:54.880 the one to two was the biggest jump yeah i feel like that's what i hear most people say um you're
00:24:02.000 the best ally we're going to be just praying for you and your family and your new baby and your
00:24:06.780 other three babies you are just like the inspo to me so thank you for everything that you do
