00:00:29.660 tomorrow october 10th is an important day october 10th is real women's day it is a national holiday
00:00:38.180 i declared it as such last year um so this is the second consecutive real women's day now let me
00:00:45.720 explain what is this day i'm glad you asked it was in march of last year march of 2023 which if you
00:00:52.780 didn't know march is women's history month i will be the first person to say that having specific
00:00:59.380 days and months dedicated to a a specific demographic is antithetical uh to what it means
00:01:07.800 to be a united nation but nonetheless uh march is women's history month i was sitting down one day
00:01:16.200 watching tv espn i come from a family of athletes right uh my dad played professional ball my mom
00:01:22.260 played softball all my siblings played sports my uncles you know won super bowls and so we like
00:01:27.840 football so growing up as a kid espn has always been on the tv the downstairs tv in my house and so
00:01:36.080 i'm over at my parents house last year um sitting down on the couch you know playing on my phone not
00:01:41.360 even paying attention to what's going on on the tv espn is on and all of a sudden i hear a familiar
00:01:48.180 voice a woman a female commentator and journalist with espn who uh this is someone who i've really
00:01:55.940 admired for a long time i hear her voice and she's talking about the sport of swimming which you know
00:02:02.580 uh it sparked my interest to say the least because swimming is not a sport that typically garners much
00:02:08.700 media attention so i was very excited about this they started to introduce their women's history month
00:02:15.560 special on the sport of swimming awesome who are they going to honor is it katie ledecky one of the
00:02:21.380 greats is it uh one of of the the walsh sisters who swim at university of virginia is it kate douglas
00:02:27.660 i was very excited to see um but to my surprise which looking back maybe i i shouldn't have been
00:02:35.520 surprised uh but for women's history month espn did not honor a woman no they honored a man that's right
00:02:44.180 leah thomas will thomas um swam three years on the men's team that you pin before deciding to switch
00:02:51.480 to the women's team uh i just remember listening to this special uh totally just bewildered by what
00:03:00.640 i was hearing this this commentator went on to say that uh leah thomas had you know overcame so much
00:03:08.320 persecution uh to achieve the seemingly impossible by winning a national title
00:03:14.360 uh and i was totally as i said just demoralized and disheartened one that this was coming from a
00:03:20.280 female commentator on espn they didn't acknowledge any woman but that became became became a theme
00:03:28.480 uh during women's history month men were being honored we saw hershey's right the the chocolate
00:03:36.320 bar company uh for hershey's international women's day uh they had a big campaign it was called her
00:03:43.760 for she's and their face the poster child the poster boy of this campaign was none other than faye johnson
00:03:51.820 a man same thing we saw actually in the white house um they had a i believe it was their 17th
00:03:59.240 annual international women of courage award and the white house one of 11 uh awardees uh was a man
00:04:09.660 by the name of alba ruda uh same thing with rachel levine usa today uh nominated him as their woman of
00:04:17.540 the year a message was received by me loud and clear uh was that the best women are men and so i started
00:04:29.060 brainstorming how can we get back to honoring real women when it is a woman's award or it's a woman who
00:04:36.520 deserves that recognition and so brainstorming thinking and i thought to myself okay one how do
00:04:44.240 we distinguish between what is a real woman and a real man it's pretty simple uh if you took biology 101
00:04:51.220 you know that the the female chromosomes are xx and the male chromosomes are xy and so knowing this
00:04:59.580 seeing what was happening in march i thought to myself what about october 10th the 10th day of the
00:05:05.900 month which if you know your roman numerals now you know this is uh denoted by xx and again what are
00:05:13.860 those female chromosomes it's xx and so uh it was right then and there i declared october 10th as
00:05:21.320 real women's day uh it was pretty awesome we saw representative lisa mcclain from michigan
00:05:27.760 as she had heard about my idea she introduced a resolution in the u.s house making it clear that
00:05:33.340 october 10th would be a national holiday real women's day marcia blackburn senator blackburn of course
00:05:38.920 was a champion for this idea in the senate and she took it and ran with it uh last year we i deployed
00:05:45.640 48 in 48 different states uh these little activism kits uh colleges all around the country where it was
00:05:54.020 a baseball net um a baseball and a speed clock a little speed gun with the objective you know this
00:06:01.860 is a more interactive way to prove the point that i have been saying until i'm blue in the face the point
00:06:07.200 that i i continue to to reiterate over and over and over again that men and women are biologically
00:06:15.100 different uh people who would who would pass by these kits they would throw the ball the speed would
00:06:21.100 get recorded uh written on on a whiteboard and again in all 48 states where all of these activism
00:06:27.740 kits were deployed my message uh the point that i've been making was proven men through faster than
00:06:34.640 women last year i actually spoke on penn state university's campus uh but it did not go without
00:06:42.220 its hitches i was scheduled to be there it was actually the turning point chapter that invited me
00:06:47.080 to be there um but the university in typical university fashion decided to cancel my speech uh they said
00:06:56.720 you know sorry we don't have any room for you anymore despite having a room reserved and saved for months
00:07:02.120 months months on end and the president of the university actually president binda putty i believe is her
00:07:07.060 name she even went as far as to release like a three or four minute video to her social profiles
00:07:13.920 basically explaining why public institutions are legally obligated to let bigots apparently like myself
00:07:22.140 on to campus um i remember in this video again i'll have to find the clip and insert it
00:07:28.840 but she said you know why can't we just ban these students um unfortunately penn state university is
00:07:35.840 bound by the first amendment and then went on to explain the first amendment to college students
00:07:42.300 like they're five years old um in the video later on she basically says look we would love to ban people
00:07:49.040 like riley from coming to our campus but we don't want to lose any sort of public funding which again
00:07:55.900 shouldn't come as a shock a lot of this movement is driven by by dollar signs uh whether it's again
00:08:02.300 institutions corporate america uh the media or government that they very much follow where the
00:08:08.500 dollar signs are telling them to go um i remember when this happened i i was so shocked because i i thought
00:08:16.620 to myself again a football fan a forever football fan um what was that guy's name um that penn state let
00:08:24.700 roam on their campus for far longer do they think that we would forget jerry sandusky so quickly
00:08:30.900 uh maybe if if my defense helped them win games they would overlook it for decades and and just let
00:08:37.220 it happen over and over and over again regardless of who it hurt but i digress um nonetheless even with my
00:08:47.100 my speech being canceled uh by the university i decided i would still go even if it meant having a bull
00:08:54.680 horn and standing on a soapbox um i would be there when we deny speakers like myself college you know
00:09:02.620 people going on these college campuses when we deny them the freedom of speech it's not just hurting them
00:09:09.260 it's hurting everyone it's hurting the people who were desperate to hear the truth and so nonetheless i
00:09:16.620 showed up like i said bullhorn in hand found a little a little public spot on their campus
00:09:22.200 um lots of supporters where there are goodness gracious lots of supporters people from from
00:09:28.000 really all over the state came but with the supporters came protesters uh there were multiple
00:09:35.020 students who got arrested for flipping tables i mean just causing a scene charging me um i mean
00:09:42.760 hurling things my way i i hope you die really really awful stuff um the university actually there was a
00:09:49.920 couple professors who sent out uh emails to their students of course denouncing me denouncing what
00:09:56.480 i stand for denouncing the turning point chapter that i was there to to speak with um but a couple
00:10:03.200 uh professors ended up even canceling class because they said if their students were were too traumatized
00:10:10.620 by my presence uh they should you know here's some counseling resources so so you can feel less
00:10:17.040 traumatized insane stuff these are colleges colleges where you were supposed to go to consider all
00:10:24.520 viewpoints to engage in civil discussion and have your own viewpoints challenge no now we're canceling
00:10:32.840 class just because i was in the state of pennsylvania really really crazy stuff uh so super excited for
00:10:41.660 this year a big push uh at the federal level again we've got some events in dc uh members of congress
00:10:48.980 and u.s senators who are uh continuing to make a splash on real women's day what this means
00:10:56.120 legislatively so that's very exciting um i'll be back speaking on a college campus this time i'm going to
00:11:03.320 cal poly uh in san luispa i believe california um kind of inserting myself into the belly of the beast
00:11:12.660 but that is where the message needs to be heard a couple other ambassadors at the rally game center
00:11:17.960 are going on college campuses as well one of those being paula scanlon a teammate of will thomas's
00:11:24.060 another being caitlin wheeler a college swimmer uh olivia krolchek selena soul who was i mean really
00:11:31.100 the first one of the first to pursue litigation on the issue of allowing men into women's sports and
00:11:36.960 so very exciting going all over the country to speak about this to people of our demographic
00:11:41.480 gen zers letting them know this is happening why it's important and what we can do about it
00:11:46.660 deploying those activism kits again so very exciting stuff but all of this to say i think back to last
00:11:54.760 year being on penn state's campus not being being very well received by a large portion but also having
00:12:03.760 uh a pretty large turnout of people who were there in opposition of my viewpoints
00:12:10.900 it's undeniable that the tides have turned we saw charlie kirk at the same campus penn state
00:12:20.620 uh just a few weeks ago and i was so encouraged he's there registering people to vote he's he's got
00:12:26.200 a big tent and a table uh it's like a prove me wrong table where where students are encouraged to
00:12:30.940 come to the microphone and to again be able to almost in a debate fashion but really just engage
00:12:37.080 in conversation uh with charlie he listens to them it's really awesome stuff if you haven't seen any
00:12:42.800 videos uh of him doing this i i think it's really remarkable and exactly what colleges uh at least
00:12:49.840 historically have been um that's their purpose that's the use of colleges um but i was so
00:12:57.740 encouraged to see this because there was a sea of red maga hats of these students who turned out in
00:13:04.280 support um which again we wouldn't have seen that we didn't see that a year ago um another reason why
00:13:12.840 i i truly feel like the tide is turning we look at what's going on in the sport of volleyball
00:13:18.940 recently uh look at the mountain west conference schools in utah and california and nevada and
00:13:26.540 and uh wyoming san jose state university has allowed a man by the name of blair fleming onto their women's
00:13:37.280 volleyball team taking a scholarship from a from a rightfully deserving woman taking a roster spot
00:13:43.920 taking a travel spot on the team when this team travels from a woman who worked her entire life
00:13:51.000 to be able to to play at that level i've been so encouraged to see now four universities as it stands
00:14:00.080 today four universities who were set to play san jose san jose state university forfeit their match
00:14:07.760 uh it started with southern utah then boise state university then university of wyoming most recently
00:14:13.600 utah state the schools uh in their statements announcing that that they were forfeiting the
00:14:20.820 match didn't uh really release a reason they just said hey we're forfeiting the game we will continue
00:14:26.300 on with our schedule um whatever the next game is uh so so they didn't release a reason as to why
00:14:33.300 but i can tell you uh as i am someone who has talked to these coaches and the university presidents
00:14:40.000 and the athletic directors and the teams themselves and it is 100 because san jose state university has a
00:14:48.840 man again blair fleming formerly brayden fleming on their women's team uh these girls actually cite
00:14:55.940 reasons of of i mean they're concerned about their safety uh we've seen this this male deliver
00:15:02.440 um i mean ridiculously hard hits across the net to to the opposing team we just saw it a few weeks ago
00:15:11.060 i was a girl from university of delaware the ball of course i mean it's spiked down it hits her in the
00:15:17.220 face she doesn't even have time to react the video is posted on my ex you can go find it um
00:15:21.880 nothing like what a woman at that level is able to do um it's a sad day i i hate even saying that i
00:15:31.460 applaud these women for forfeiting because it's a sad day when girls who sign scholarships to be able
00:15:39.020 to play they sign scholarships to play but they are having to make the decision uh that no girls
00:15:45.660 should be left to make uh that they don't want to play not that they actually don't want to play
00:15:51.040 because that's all they want to do is they want to play but they're not willing to play when it's
00:15:56.700 against a man uh which again is it takes tremendous courage it takes tremendous leadership these girls
00:16:05.680 displayed far more courage and leadership uh than the adults who failed them because if they're having
00:16:11.460 to vote on it they have been failed tremendously uh but nonetheless these girls say hey yes we take a
00:16:18.600 loss which is huge in a conference game but it's a loss we're willing to take because our safety
00:16:24.560 matters more than any victory again i think that's incredibly commendable uh while we're talking about
00:16:33.460 real women uh we saw kamala harris this past week join alex cooper on the call her daddy podcast if you
00:16:44.080 don't know what the call her daddy podcast is that's probably a good thing because it means you haven't
00:16:48.380 been learning about uh the raunchiness of alex cooper's sex life uh just two episodes back i believe she
00:16:56.100 had an episode titled frat parties blowjobs and and something else ridiculous uh kamala harris saw this
00:17:04.840 as a good opportunity to uh join and to talk about women's issues that's what she calls them she did this
00:17:12.560 while people in north carolina in tennessee my home state in georgia and states across the southeast are
00:17:19.680 dying and while these towns are being destroyed by hurricane helene um trump it was it was reported
00:17:30.460 that trump was also invited on to uh again the call her daddy podcast but declined again kamala accepted
00:17:38.920 uh kamala was then invited on dave ramsey's show to talk about the economy the state of the economy what
00:17:46.220 she was going to do to improve it and she declined but guess who accepted trump did uh i believe that
00:17:53.380 should tell you a lot about their priorities but i will say i mean i think strategically
00:17:59.220 as a woman as someone who sees the benefit and having donald trump as president for women
00:18:07.880 i can't help but but think he should have over the past few months done more outreach to women's
00:18:16.160 shows and podcasts on the campaign trail uh he's placed and has really done a phenomenal job he's
00:18:22.940 placed so much emphasis on uh male voters even young male voters which again is is incredibly important
00:18:28.680 um people like the ovan sean ryan who i love by the way i'm a big fan of the sean ryan show
00:18:36.100 adem ross again dave ramsey um again all great people with with huge followings um a large audience
00:18:46.640 and key demographics but it is time to focus on connecting with women women voters uh donald trump
00:18:56.860 is for women despite what the media tells you um what what the narrative that they are pushing that he's
00:19:03.080 this this this misogynistic woman hater that he wants to take your rights away as women don't
00:19:08.900 believe that for a second because he is for women i believe that should be projected loud and clear
00:19:15.540 he offers a safer a healthier a more affordable america for women and as a woman myself i can tell you i care
00:19:25.560 so much more about being able to walk the streets safely at night i care more about what is in
00:19:31.700 my food the food that we are ingesting i care more about affording basic necessities groceries and rent
00:19:39.480 and gas and all the things i care more about all those things as a woman than i care about the right
00:19:46.560 to dismember and abort a developing child um it's no secret uh that again historically the republican
00:19:57.460 party has not done well with with women again even young women uh and it's no secret that it is suburban
00:20:05.080 women especially in swing states i believe that will determine the outcome of this election uh this
00:20:11.600 election will come down to to thousands of undecided voters uh across several swing states states like
00:20:20.080 georgia states like nevada and michigan and wisconsin uh in ohio the list goes on
00:20:27.460 every single vote matters uh i would love to see president trump sit down with a woman
00:20:35.060 to talk about women's issues real women's issues uh so let it let it be heard here first the invite
00:20:44.420 is always open uh for president trump to join the gains for girls podcast again to talk about what he
00:20:52.260 would do uh to protect women to protect our safety our privacy uh our opportunities um
00:21:00.660 again i hope to see everyone celebrating 10 10 day uh xx day real women's day accordingly
00:21:08.740 i want you to to post about it on social media i want you to talk about it uh ask your friends say
00:21:16.160 hey did you know today or tomorrow is real women's day they'll say no what is that and it gives you
00:21:22.760 the opportunity to to not shy away from the conversation and to be unapologetic and saying
00:21:28.880 and describing what a woman is the dreaded question that even a sitting supreme court justice cannot answer
00:21:36.660 what is a woman you now know you are able to answer because a woman is someone with xx chromosomes
00:21:43.520 it is only women who menstruate it is only women who can become pregnant who can give birth uh that's
00:21:51.200 not all that makes us women but only women can do those things uh so talk about it post about it if
00:21:58.360 your state has not yet approached the the deadline of registering to vote do that you heard elon must
00:22:05.980 talk about it at the rally the trump rally recently which it was so funny watching him jump around stage
00:22:12.340 like that with with sheer excitement about the future of this country um register to vote it is
00:22:19.000 so important do your own research i'm not i'm not going to tell you um you know you have to vote for
00:22:25.060 trump uh definitely who i'm voting for as a woman i see see it to be uh the best option for me for you
00:22:33.980 know my future kids i can only you know hope i get to have kids of my own one day uh that's who i'll be
00:22:40.220 voting for but do your own research vote based on the policies and the plans and the candidates that
00:22:45.840 you feel will accomplish those best for you but again appreciate you guys uh last 10 10 day last
00:22:53.760 real women's day was a a great success it really was with people around the country talking around
00:23:00.120 the world really talking about it governors signing executive orders uh great things being done and so
00:23:06.040 we hope that continues this year uh thanks again for tuning in to the gains for girls podcast
00:23:12.280 hope you all have a wonderful real women's day tomorrow it's not just women who can celebrate men
00:23:16.660 you can celebrate too uh and we will see you again next week on the gains for girls podcast
00:23:21.960 you
00:23:27.980 you
00:23:31.080 you
