00:00:05.200 Yeah, hey, who should I take in the Boston game?
00:00:07.280 Well, statistically speaking...
00:00:08.800 Nah, no more statistically speaking. I want hot takes. I want knee-jerk reactions. 0.97
00:00:13.280 That's not really what I do.
00:00:15.440 Is that because you don't have any knees? Or...

00:00:30.000 i'm in tyrus's studio um i figured when in new york you've got to make a pit stop here right
00:00:40.000 um we wanted to make an episode this has been kind of like a long time in the in the making
00:00:45.600 answering questions from you guys um i feel like i don't do the best job of i don't know sharing
00:00:53.180 too much detail into my own personal life things that drive me things i care about things i'm
00:00:59.140 passionate about because i don't know like i feel like i struggle with this internal dilemma of first
00:01:04.900 and foremost do people care right does anyone really care what i have to say on insert various
00:01:11.100 topic i've got a list of questions here you guys submitted these over on the instagram across
00:01:16.380 all of our socials and so i actually had my producer max go through and pick out some of my
00:01:21.760 favorite um it's we were just looking i was looking at the list prior to click and record
00:01:26.880 and i was looking through the comments yesterday and i saw my mom asked a question and mom your
00:01:32.380 question made it you can thank max for that we'll get to it in a second let's just start off with
00:01:37.840 number one what has been the biggest surprise about motherhood so far i will say margo is now
00:01:45.060 11 months old she turned 11 months last week um and there's a couple things first and foremost
00:01:51.980 And I think maybe most obviously, but maybe you can't really understand it or grasp it or conceptualize it until you're living it.
00:01:59.880 Motherhood has made everything else so secondary.
00:02:04.180 Like, it sounds crazy, but this role that I'm currently in, secondary to my child.
00:02:11.100 My health, when I'm sick, I don't care if I'm sick.
00:02:13.700 Like, I worry about getting my child sick.
00:02:15.900 everything else is secondary to to the love that I have for her the sacrificial unconditional type
00:02:22.020 of love that you have for your child so that has been kind of surprising although not really you
00:02:27.620 expect it to happen but I think the surprising part about it is how involuntary it really is
00:02:33.260 I would say the another thing that has surprised me about motherhood so far is and and I want I
00:02:40.500 don't want to sound like aloof in this um is really how easy it has been let me explain um i
00:02:49.480 think it's important to mention number one i live around all of my family so my parents my siblings
00:02:54.700 my grandparents even um my dad has four brothers they all have kids like everyone is within like
00:03:01.720 a 30 minute radius but my parents i mean they're like five minutes down the road same thing with
00:03:05.780 my grandparents. So when I say I have a village around me, I really do. And I understand like
00:03:10.520 how helpful that is and how I would not be able to, to do the things that I do without that sort
00:03:15.760 of flexibility that having my family around me really has newborn trenches, terrible twos,
00:03:21.080 toddler tantrums, right? Okay. You see, I've loved it so far. What would you say to young
00:03:26.820 women who are afraid of pregnancy and motherhood? Again, I would kind of just go back to, to what I
00:03:31.940 was just reiterating when I tell you I loved labor I don't know if it's the athlete in me
00:03:38.160 and and I will say like this isn't common in talking to other women that they like loved it
00:03:42.960 and would do it again like I want to do it again even if it didn't necessarily produce the outcome
00:03:47.900 that it did like I just loved the experience sounds crazy sounds wild I don't know if it's
00:03:52.780 like the athlete in me where it almost felt like I don't know like there was like a like a pressure
00:03:59.640 or like a competition, maybe like I felt competitive with myself, like how fast can I
00:04:04.180 push this baby out? I don't know. I loved labor. I will say I was not wanting to do the epidural
00:04:10.400 at first. I ended up having to be induced, which kind of kickstarted labor and everything so fast
00:04:17.200 for me. So I was zero to 100. The contractions that I was having in the middle of the night,
00:04:22.720 it was like, I mean, an hour and a half long, just straight contraction with no relief. And so
00:04:27.980 I ended up getting the epidural. Loved my epidural. I want one right now. It was the best
00:04:33.840 thing ever. Um, but don't be afraid. Uh, again, I think there's a lot of, of women, I don't know
00:04:40.020 in terms of percentage, um, who has a good experience throughout pregnancy and, and delivery
00:04:45.760 and even into motherhood. Um, but I do know the ones who do feel that way. Don't talk about it
00:04:50.720 online as much because we have this culture that is like, what about me isms, right? Where if you
00:04:56.760 share your good experience, someone's going to leave a comment. Well, what about if you have some
00:05:00.620 super rare 1% type only ever contracting or being diagnosed with syndrome or illness where this and
00:05:07.960 what about me isms? So a lot of people don't share their good experiences, but I don't feel
00:05:14.960 fearful and sharing mine. What's the worst advice women are being given right now? I would say the
00:05:23.360 worst advice that women are being given is the lie that and it kind of goes along with the gender
00:05:29.720 ideology movement but i think we're seeing the effects of this we have been for the past like
00:05:35.540 i mean 20 30 years actually even really much longer than that but we're really seeing it now 0.89
00:05:41.420 and again i say this with the lindsey clancy case going on in the news i think the worst advice women
00:05:48.940 are being given right now is that um we should become more like men not even in the physical
00:05:54.840 sense and talking about right like the trans stuff where we're saying that men and women are
00:06:00.160 physically the same we're telling women that they find purpose and empowerment in climbing the
00:06:07.700 corporate ladder and delaying marriage and rejecting motherhood i think when you look at
00:06:14.100 the correlation between my generation delaying marriage rejecting motherhood and the feelings
00:06:19.640 of again um shame and regret and guilt and isolation and those feelings um it's an indirect
00:06:28.200 correlation you see i'm saying so um i think the worst advice women are being told is to be more
00:06:34.460 like men um what's one trend among young women that gives you hope again just watching all the
00:06:41.060 lindsey clancy stuff i had a hard time thinking about this because um i said this on an episode
00:06:46.020 previously of like i am not a repeal the 19th type of girl i think it's a super lazy way of thinking
00:06:51.780 um because you can't win a subset of women you just write them all off like i'm not a repeal
00:06:57.260 the 19th type of girl but i'm watching this lindsey clancy stuff and i'm like are they on
00:07:03.340 to something are they on to something what are women doing um that's the part that's going to
00:07:08.540 get clipped and it's going to go viral riley gains thinks women shouldn't vote i don't think that 1.00
00:07:13.000 but there's a lot of questionable women out there who need to get their head on straight but
00:07:17.460 and thinking about one trend among young women that's giving me hope i will say i think we have 0.99
00:07:22.140 a generation of younger moms that are beginning to push back on newborn vaccines at least doing it
00:07:29.200 moments after their child is born into this world um i think we have covid to thank for that which
00:07:37.240 feels weird to even say that we're thanking COVID, the thing that paralyzed the entire world for
00:07:42.740 years, that we're thanking COVID for anything. I'm not an anti-vaxxer by any stretch of the
00:07:48.560 imagination, but I do think there are questions that you should be asking when it comes to your,
00:07:53.980 especially your child's overall health. Why are we being asked to put vaccines with copious amounts
00:08:00.360 of mercury and aluminum in our baby, like 30 times the FDA recommended amount, yet I was told
00:08:06.720 during pregnancy, I can't have salmon because it's high levels of mercury, right? Okay. What
00:08:12.260 does a normal day actually look like for you right now? It's, this is funny because I'm someone that
00:08:18.520 really values routine and structure. I like, I, again, I think it's when like ingrained in you
00:08:24.600 as an athlete, when you wake up in the morning for like the score bed app here with trusted
00:08:32.820 stats and real-time sports news yeah hey who should i take in the boston game well statistically
00:08:37.480 speaking nah no more statistically speaking i want hot takes i want knee-jerk reactions that's
00:08:43.060 not really what i do is that because you don't have any knees or the score bet trusted sports

00:08:58.900 15 years of your life and you at 4 30 you're going to the pool you're jumping in a freezing
00:09:04.660 cold pool i don't know i just like that routine and structure that comes with it um so what does
00:09:09.980 a normal day look like for me now i don't have a lot of routine which that's been the part that
00:09:15.420 has thrown me most about motherhood um is you realize how selfish you were with your time prior
00:09:21.260 to having a baby and you have to be incredibly selfless you don't have to be i mean you want to
00:09:27.220 be selfless again it's intrinsic even you don't even think about it because there's nothing you
00:09:31.240 wouldn't do for your baby even if it means giving up the things that you desire um but with that
00:09:36.300 it's changed my routine a normal day for me now when i'm not on the road i'll give you a day at
00:09:40.940 home although i will say i travel probably 260 days a year um so it's a lot of time on the on
00:09:48.800 the road but a normal day for me at home is waking up super duper early um i find that is the best
00:09:55.320 time for me to get a good workout in. Um, like probably five in the morning, I'm either doing
00:10:03.140 a workout class, I'm running, I'm doing Pilates, I'm lifting in the gym. Um, that's my time that
00:10:09.440 I take for myself in the mornings. My husband's still sleeping. The baby's still sleeping. Um,
00:10:14.500 I'm able to do what I want to do and work out in that time and be home by 7am and everyone else is
00:10:21.460 still sleeping i go to seven brew um i love this place i think i keep them in business the one
00:10:27.200 close to my house actually it's not even that close it's like 20 minutes one way and me and
00:10:31.760 my mom drive there um basically every single day and i get an energy drink um which don't even tell
00:10:39.180 me anything about energy drinks and how they're not good for you because i'm not giving them up
00:10:43.260 anyways back to my day i'll film some stuff and then generally lou and i um as a family with margo
00:10:51.140 we'll eat dinner together. Um, yeah, nothing super duper crazy really, but I will say work
00:10:57.200 out in the morning. It has been a game changer for me. Um, do you ever get tired of talking
00:11:02.880 about women's sports? I don't get tired of talking about women's sports. I get tired 1.00
00:11:06.260 of talking about men and women's sports. You get it. You're picking up what I'm putting
00:11:10.120 down. Um, this has been like reinforced to me. Um, especially after going to these two
00:11:16.380 WNBA games now when I was there I think going into it I was just of the mind that it's like a spoof
00:11:22.480 league the WNBA because you see the highlights and you you see the clips online on social of
00:11:26.800 Angel Reese you know under the basket and she's attempting to rebound like over and over and over
00:11:32.400 again you you I just went into it kind of outrage and I'm embarrassed to say that because when I 0.96
00:11:37.600 was there I had the best time just watching and enjoying women's sports um watching Kelsey
00:11:43.960 Mitchell she is so good like I I loved it um and so I don't get tired of talking or watching women's
00:11:51.660 sports but I get tired of talking about men and women's sports and the fact that this is even
00:11:56.120 still a discussion what are we doing we've been debating this for years now um and honestly go
00:12:03.320 back to the 1980s when you had um women who were taking performance enhancing drugs sometimes
00:12:09.820 unknowingly by the way their coaches you think of the east germans um who their coaches were giving
00:12:15.640 them some sort of performance enhancing drugs uh with similar effects to that of testosterone
00:12:22.080 and these women were like jacked they were blood or doping um right uh we've been talking about
00:12:28.080 this since then and the unfairness of whether synthetic or unnatural or even natural chemicals 0.99
00:12:34.960 and substances in your body when it comes to women's sports and the athletic competitiveness 0.86
00:12:41.060 and fairness that comes with it. So we've been talking about this for years in that regard,
00:12:47.000 and somehow men and women's sports is even worse. So I get tired of talking about it for sure.
00:12:53.740 Have I lost friends over my views? Honestly, no. No, I really haven't, which I live in
00:13:00.560 like rural Tennessee. I don't think there's that many liberals of us to begin with. Um, but even
00:13:07.680 the people, my friends in my life who I know disagree with me, um, they know me and they know
00:13:13.920 my heart and they know I don't approach this conversation or any conversation with ill will
00:13:18.100 or animosity, um, towards one person or any group of people. So I really haven't lost friends. Um,
00:13:24.880 don't let that stop you from, I guess, being bold and using your voice. And if you do lose
00:13:30.300 someone in your life whether it's a friend or a family member um i'm not going to sit here and
00:13:34.800 say that it's easy um but i will say were they even really your friend to begin with ask yourself
00:13:41.400 if you would not want to be their friend if they disagreed with you politically i don't have anyone
00:13:44.540 in my life like that so um i haven't lost any friends because of my views really um my favorite
00:13:51.540 memory with charlie gosh i i could tell you several i i will say one of the the craziest
00:13:58.160 things that made me like really take a step back i'm like oh my gosh i actually think he's a prophet
00:14:02.440 was when he and i were on a campus together in san francisco on a college campus and we're sat
00:14:08.500 next to each other and i hadn't yet told charlie i was pregnant but at the time i was like 20 weeks
00:14:13.480 pregnant i was able to kind of conceal and hide it for a while and so i hadn't told anyone
00:14:17.180 i was pregnant not not the world charlie didn't know and i was really scared of telling him
00:14:21.500 because he was my boss technically at turning point that was like an employer of mine and i
00:14:26.920 didn't want him to feel frustrated this was a totally made up like like consequence in my mind
00:14:33.560 there was nothing that was ever done that would make me feel this way I think it was just like
00:14:36.860 internal pressure I was putting on myself I was really scared that he was going to be frustrated
00:14:42.020 that I was going to have to take some time I guess off from turning point and not being on
00:14:47.580 campuses and so I hadn't told him I was pregnant and so um a student gets up to the microphone
00:14:53.200 own and ask a question about abortion i don't even remember what the question was uh but charlie
00:14:57.560 and his response um always very compassionate listening to what she had to say he said uh let's
00:15:03.240 take riley for example let's say she sat right next to me and she's 20 weeks pregnant then he
00:15:08.380 goes on and i just stopped i couldn't even listen to the rest of what he said i'm like wait oh my
00:15:12.200 gosh he knows he knows i'm pregnant how does he know that i haven't told anyone and so after the
00:15:18.460 fact i am after this camp after it ended like an hour later i tell him i said charlie um you know
00:15:24.380 how you said what if riley was 20 weeks pregnant he's like yeah i was like i am 20 weeks pregnant
00:15:30.600 he said i am so happy for you that comes first forget everything else take all the time in the
00:15:36.520 world that you need this world needs more babies we need more families have many many more forget
00:15:41.800 about us you do that and we're here for you and that to me like i don't know again it showed me
00:15:48.120 how invalid the concern I had was, especially given the organization that I was working for.
00:15:55.380 And now Turning Point has implemented a six-month maternity leave policy for moms who have been
00:16:01.500 there, I think, over a year. Where else could you find that? All right, you guys, I know that
00:16:07.560 electrolyte brands are everywhere right now, so I get the skepticism, but Relight is the one that
00:16:13.420 actually made me pay attention because it starts with Redmond Real Salt. Realite is made by Redmond,
00:16:20.040 the company that's been mining ancient sea salt in Utah of all places since 1958. So instead of
00:16:26.020 this mystery sodium and a bunch of other junk that you don't know how to pronounce, you're getting
00:16:31.840 unrefined real salt with natural trace minerals plus key electrolytes like potassium, magnesium,
00:16:37.880 calcium chloride and coconut water powder in the flavored varieties and the best part of course
00:16:43.860 it's clean meaning zero sugar no artificial sweeteners no artificial colors no artificial
00:16:49.240 flavors and no chemical preservatives so if you're ready to give relight a try go to redmond.com
00:16:54.680 slash hydrate and you can use code hydrate to get 15 off your first order that is redmond.com
00:17:00.620 slash hydrate use code hydrate for 15 off your first order or you can click the link in the
00:17:06.760 video description you can scan the qr code on your screen or you can check the pin comment
00:17:11.040 they love to say that conservative orgs or people who just have conservative values
00:17:18.460 aren't really pro-woman uh they're pro-life until the baby's born no that six-month maternity leave
00:17:25.340 is the embodiment of being pro-woman and pro-life and pro-family so that's really cool into any
00:17:32.260 young moms, um, or you, you want to start a family, I'd recommend looking at turning point 0.99
00:17:38.400 for a future employer, um, chocolate or vanilla. Ooh, I don't know. I don't discriminate when it 0.62
00:17:47.000 comes to desserts. I think a lot of people think I eat really healthy because when you're a high
00:17:51.660 level athlete, that's kind of the expectation. But the reality is, especially in swimming,
00:17:56.020 when you're born, you're burning like 10,000 bajillion calories every single day,
00:17:59.900 You can eat whatever you want. Actually, you need to eat a lot to be able to maintain that level of fitness. So while I'm done swimming, I did not leave the swimmers appetite behind. So I love desserts. I got a sweet tooth. It's not very Maha of me actually just made a video. It's on my tech talk of me and Louie at the Tennessee State Fair and all the things that we ate. Maha goes out of the door when the State Fair is in town.
00:18:29.900 So I like chocolate and vanilla. Um, what advice would you give to a college athlete who feels
00:18:35.120 pressure to stay quiet? Um, I would say a lot of what I face in two instances, number one with
00:18:41.560 COVID and being pressured to get the vaccine. And secondly, uh, with, with staying quiet during all
00:18:47.860 of the Leah Thomas stuff. Um, I really believed a lot of what I was told the things that were
00:18:52.740 going to happen to me. I would never get a job. I'd lose my, my friends and family wouldn't want
00:18:56.700 to talk to me um i'd lose my scholarship uh etc etc etc none of those things happened i was told
00:19:04.180 you'll never get into dental school if you speak about this if you don't get the vaccine no dental
00:19:07.820 school is gonna gonna bring you on you have to have the vaccine it's part of their requirement
00:19:11.460 i didn't get the vaccine and i got into dental school and i was so nervous in speaking out about
00:19:18.180 the men and women's sports issue because i thought they weren't going to to you know i just didn't
00:19:22.720 want any of my peers to know i didn't want any of my professors to know and so finally i called
00:19:26.980 the dental school and i made the decision that i wasn't ultimately going to continue on i was going
00:19:31.080 to to you know fight this fight on the advocacy front i called the dental school and they were
00:19:35.960 like uh riley i was very vague i was like hey something's come up in my personal life i have
00:19:41.320 to take a step back and they were like riley we know who you are um and we know what you do and
00:19:44.700 we love what you do and we will hold the spot for whenever you want to come back you go fight that
00:19:48.720 fight it's far more important far more consequential you'll have far more impact than you will ever
00:19:53.560 have being a dentist that's not what they told me was going to happen so my advice would be to find
00:19:59.280 people who feel the same um not because i i think it's necessary to to only be around people who
00:20:08.060 think the same as you but i do think it's beneficial having anchors in your life who
00:20:12.060 keep you grounded um have those people there they've been huge in my life um how do you decide
00:20:17.940 when to respond to something online and when to let it go. I'm generally of the mind now that I'm
00:20:23.660 just not going to respond. I mean, I'm just not even to the positive comments, which sounds like
00:20:30.560 I don't want to sound harsh. I read everything. I read all the DMs that I get and they mean a lot
00:20:35.020 to me. I just don't have enough time in my day to respond. Especially, you know, being in the mom
00:20:41.260 role that I am. I just, I don't comb through everything. But my mindset is to not punch down.
00:20:47.940 the score bet up here with trusted stats and real-time sports news yeah hey who should i
00:20:54.680 take in the boston game well statistically speaking nah no more statistically speaking
00:20:58.900 i want hot takes i want knee-jerk reactions that's not really what i do is that because
00:21:04.320 you don't have any knees or the score bet trusted sports content seamless sports betting download
00:21:11.020 today 19 plus ontario only if you have questions or concerns about your gambling or the gambling
00:21:15.400 of someone close to you please go to conixontario.ca that's what i think about and i think
00:21:20.300 about if if i respond to this person would they feel a little bit excited about it like would they
00:21:26.600 like the attention that they're getting from me responding if the answer is yes i'm i'm just not
00:21:31.380 going to respond i was told that advice pretty early on um and i try my best to stick with it
00:21:36.660 although i will say there are certain key figures that i have a hard time doing that too like keith
00:21:41.360 Colberman. Oh my gosh. It's like, anytime he comes for me, I just have to like, my Twitter
00:21:45.660 fingers just go crazy. I'm not proud of it, but he's just one of those people for me. Pineapple
00:21:50.000 on pizza. Obviously, obviously. Um, I love my producers are looking at me shaking their head.
00:21:58.940 Duh. Who wouldn't, who doesn't like pineapple on pizza? That's the bigger question. Um, I think
00:22:05.060 like a good Hawaiian pizza where you've got pineapple, chicken, bacon, ham, whatever,
00:22:11.360 delicious 10 out of 10 um but i i think i like controversial foods in general like
00:22:16.520 big fan of blue cheese big fan of pickles hard boiled eggs like the stuff that a lot of people
00:22:21.560 don't like or maybe will like turn their nose to i like um so yes to pineapple on pizza um
00:22:28.800 dogs or cats again like well for dogs dogs but i like all animals i had rats growing up like
00:22:38.480 that's insane i know i had three pet rats and this is like kind of gross but i'm gonna say it
00:22:45.540 they would like sleep in the bed with me they're so cute they're really smart animals too um if
00:22:50.840 you didn't know that rats are very smart so like i would have any animal i think um margo's theme
00:22:57.440 for her birthday is this little piggy turns one so i don't know if louie knows this yet but we're
00:23:04.000 getting a pig so we're gonna get multiple pigs so i'm team all animals is what i'm trying to say
00:23:10.700 but if the option was dogs or cats dogs my dog lady is like i have three dogs lady buddy and
00:23:18.460 dumbo lady and buddy got together consecrated had 10 puppies dumbo's one of them we kept dumbo
00:23:24.380 um but lady is like my soul dog my soul dog i love that that girl with my whole heart she
00:23:31.660 the the parents who are like oh my fur baby i'm not that kind of person but um ladies my girl 0.87
00:23:40.760 my favorite workout partner this is the question my mom asked

00:23:52.920 my mom me my grandma donna who i was just slandering um and my sister my younger sister
00:24:00.060 um we work out together every day and so it's a lot of fun but generally me and my mom are like
00:24:05.540 in our little pod together um where do i want the podcast to go next well we're like if you know
00:24:14.300 with the help of you guys we're overtaking joe rogan duh duh of course we want to keep growing
00:24:20.500 and spreading spreading the good word spreading the truth um spreading the gospel um that's
00:24:27.560 something i more than anything else would love to be able to spread and to amplify all across the
00:24:34.000 country all across the world is the good news of the lord and how he's coming back um so that's
00:24:39.840 what i would love to see from this podcast but that doesn't come without you guys amplifying it
00:24:43.980 so thanks for liking and subscribing and reposting and all the things dream guests
00:24:48.120 you know the jojo siwa clip i we're i'm we're gonna have to insert this in post
00:24:54.800 but JoJo Siwa when she's like oh my dream guest on my podcast dream guest on my podcast
00:25:01.180 I don't know who my dream guest is actually I don't know if it would be like
00:25:05.140 an athlete let's think I think on the athlete front I would love to have someone like I really
00:25:12.020 like Kylie Kelsey um although again you just kind of accept when you have the beliefs that I do that
00:25:19.240 these people probably wouldn't come on even if they agree with you weirdly enough because
00:25:23.420 they don't want to get caught in some like oh they could potentially be MAGA type thing because it's
00:25:29.980 like the the worst thing ever to be called is a Trump voter and I guess they assume when you come
00:25:37.800 on the Riley Gaines show you're associating yourself with that one thing I'm excited about
00:25:41.840 that has nothing to do with politics I think Margo's first birthday coming up um I just can't
00:25:47.360 believe she's one or almost one that is like wild they tell you time flies and i remember thinking
00:25:54.280 to myself like if i hear one more person tell me don't blink or it goes by so fast i mean you just
00:26:00.180 roll your eyes to it you're like yeah whatever but then you're living it and you're like wait
00:26:04.320 they're so right they know exactly what they're talking about it has flown by um so i'm excited
00:26:10.000 about her first birthday um she's just at a really fun stage like every day she just develops you
00:26:15.380 watch her little brain move and think and work. And she figures out like, oh, like I have hands
00:26:22.600 and I can run. She's running. Forget walking. She's running. Um, so I'm excited for her birthday.
00:26:29.480 All right, you guys, if you've watched my show before, then you've probably heard me talk about
00:26:33.460 my friends at why refi before what they're doing is incredible. It's needed. So my question for you
00:26:39.740 is, are you struggling with private student loan debt? Is even your minimum payment higher than
00:26:44.520 what you can actually afford. Maybe you're even in default. Well, I have good news. Number one,
00:26:50.440 you're not alone. And number two, why refi can help. They refinance private student loans that
00:26:55.620 other companies, other lenders will not even touch. And they will give you a custom loan
00:27:00.120 payment plan based on your ability to pay. They work with you. They sit down with you one-on-one,
00:27:05.900 each borrower individually to craft a payment that works for you. They can help you reduce
00:27:11.160 your monthly costs, your monthly payment and your total costs, you will get a low fixed interest
00:27:15.760 rate. Sometimes they see as low as 1%. You can't get that anywhere else. You'll be able to see the
00:27:21.680 light at the end of the tunnel. And the best part is why refi does not care what your credit score
00:27:27.140 is. This is good news. Is private student loan debt wrecking your life and destroying your dreams
00:27:34.580 and the future that you envision for yourself? You do not have to live with this sort of stress
00:27:39.120 or worry anymore just go to why refi.com that is y-r-e-f-y.com and be sure to tell them that
00:27:45.820 Riley from the Riley Gaines show sent you three habits that actually changed my life um I would
00:27:53.060 say let's kind of break this down into three different groups um first I will say spiritually
00:28:00.280 um it's spending time in the word every single day there are days where I kind of fall off of this
00:28:07.360 um but i would say for the most part i do read scripture every day and with that um prayer
00:28:14.600 uh one of the things that i do and well me and louis both do in our marriage is
00:28:20.340 well i'll speak for myself i pray on my own throughout the day individually whether it's
00:28:26.420 it's in the morning whether you just feel something placed in your heart i've really
00:28:30.080 tried to be intentional about prayer and even when you say to someone i feel like in the south
00:28:35.360 we say this all the time like oh like we'll be praying for you but that's kind of the end of it
00:28:39.140 and you don't really i've really tried to be intentional of when i think that or when i say
00:28:43.360 that to someone i'm actually following through with it um but then together in our marriage we
00:28:49.900 pray together every single night um which has been really sweet because you learn a lot we pray about
00:28:56.160 things that we're grateful for uh and we we pray um over things that we want to pray about um and
00:29:03.480 so it's been cool to to see and learn louie's heart a little more um he gets to see my heart
00:29:10.020 you're very vulnerable in this setting uh at least we have found that and praying over for
00:29:14.200 praying over margo we do that every night so that's i guess scripture and prayer um have
00:29:20.100 certainly changed my life um i will say on the fitness side of things um just prioritizing it
00:29:26.580 as best as you can i know it's difficult when you don't have i talked about the village around me if
00:29:32.600 you don't have that, it's hard. Um, if you work a job that starts it, you need to leave your house
00:29:38.020 at six 30 in the morning to get downtown or wherever I get it. All I'm going to say is do
00:29:43.880 your best to prioritize it because for me, it's a stress reliever. You feel better. Um, I sleep
00:29:49.280 better at night. Like it has changed my life for the better. Um, just getting in a, a good workout
00:29:56.660 and fitness routine. And I will say the third thing here, maybe relationally, maybe that's the
00:30:02.860 route we'll go here. I'm continuing to speak on me and Louis marriage and what we do, or what we
00:30:08.320 try to do that I think works for us is we never stop dating each other. We try to twice a month
00:30:17.560 have dates where it's just me and him drop the baby off with my mom, and we'll either go out to
00:30:24.600 eat, go to a movie, do something, spend time with each other. Um, try and catch up. He works
00:30:31.420 in construction. I don't always do the best job of like keeping up with what he's doing.
00:30:36.760 It kind of loses my interest when he's talking about, you know, rebar and forming the foundation,
00:30:43.020 blah, blah, blah. I'm like, well, I don't know what any of this means. Um, so that's our time
00:30:46.480 to like really catch up. How are your projects going? How are your employees doing? You know,
00:30:49.820 so we never stop dating each other last one are you guys tired of this yet um what's one bible
00:30:56.360 verse quote or phrase that you come back to often um i would say my favorite bible verse again i
00:31:03.560 think i've talked about this before is romans 8 18 which is for our present sufferings aren't worth
00:31:07.920 comparing to the glory that will be revealed in us and i just feel like this verse is very applicable
00:31:12.480 um and the the craziness and the chaos that we're currently living in like it's so easy to get
00:31:20.200 bogged down with your present sufferings um it's that looks different for each individual person
00:31:26.700 um it's easy to get bogged down in that and just feel you know outrage or hopeless like there's
00:31:33.800 nothing we can do but knowing the second half of that verse um that the our present sufferings
00:31:39.800 aren't worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in us i don't know it just helps me keep
00:31:43.920 perspective that we're not fighting for anything of this world we're fighting for the hope and the
00:31:47.740 promise of eternal life eternity in a very real place called heaven like that's something that
00:31:53.840 i don't know it just feels like uh like a stress reliever like if you're doing what is biblically
00:31:59.920 right who cares what the response of the world is um appreciate you guys i think we should do
00:32:07.780 this again sometime i think we should get my dream guests on my podcast on this podcast um but as
00:32:15.640 always we appreciate you let me know who you want to see on the podcast um maybe more questions in
00:32:20.600 the meantime that you have we'll kind of scour the internet the comment sections over the next
00:32:25.460 few weeks maybe we can do this like once a month answer some questions um leave the comments below
00:32:32.020 ask me anything we're gonna do another one of these sometime in the future but i appreciate
