00:00:34.360 Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the Riley Gaines Show.
00:00:37.460 Oh, my goodness.
00:00:38.460 We had the travel week from hell this past weekend.
00:00:42.280 Getting back to Nashville from Washington, D.C.
00:00:45.180 As I said on Friday's episode, we were in Washington, D.C. for the March for Life.
00:00:50.060 It was incredible.
00:00:51.160 Vice President J.D. Vance spoke there, which was timely,
00:00:53.980 given the fact that he and his wife, Usha, just announced that they're welcoming their fourth baby,
00:00:58.520 another little baby boy, into the world.
00:01:01.140 His remarks were something that I don't think we've seen,
00:01:05.780 certainly from anyone in the White House, before surrounding the issue of life.
00:01:11.280 I mean, you think back to President Bush, his administration.
00:01:14.680 I mean, they essentially hid under the bed during the March for Life
00:01:17.580 and waited for it to be over before they came back out.
00:01:20.300 You had President Trump, who issued a statement,
00:01:22.560 and Vice President there, who gave remarks that were just so clear
00:01:26.560 and filled with conviction and courage.
00:01:30.000 He used words like even child sacrifice.
00:01:32.140 Again, that's kind of extraordinary.
00:01:34.520 We haven't seen something like that from the White House before.
00:01:37.320 So it was incredible.
00:01:38.460 We had like 100,000 people in the streets.
00:01:40.720 And one of the most remarkable things that I noted was that this was a movement
00:01:46.000 heavily driven by young people, not by Washington, D.C. bureaucrats or politicians,
00:01:52.180 by young people.
00:01:53.160 So I feel incredibly inspired.
00:01:55.700 As I said, though, we had some problems getting back home.
00:01:58.260 Of course, the ice storm that has taken over, especially the southern part of the country,
00:02:03.980 Nashville is home for me.
00:02:05.840 I thought the whole like exploding trees thing was a myth until now being back home.
00:02:11.800 I've seen trees exploding everywhere, all in my yard.
00:02:14.880 Like they've just essentially split in half.
00:02:17.840 So I'm glad we made it back home safely.
00:02:20.480 I have a new appreciation for airline workers and pilots and flight attendants.
00:02:24.860 God bless you guys.
00:02:25.760 I saw so much anger and frustration directed at you all in the three days that we spent
00:02:30.220 trying to get back to Nashville.
00:02:31.360 But I understand, of course, you wanted us to be safe and you want to get home, too.
00:02:36.120 So thank you guys for your service.
00:02:38.620 We have an exciting episode today.
00:02:41.440 I've got a few thoughts I want to share with you guys about the ongoing news cycle of ice
00:02:46.980 in Minneapolis.
00:02:48.600 I want to talk to you guys about Jennifer Welch.
00:02:51.660 If you don't know the name, then honestly, I envy you and Kanye West and his new apology.
00:02:56.740 But before we get into that, I want to tell you about today's sponsor.
00:02:59.640 If you've watched the Riley Gaines show before, then you have heard me talk about my friends
00:03:03.620 at Why Refi.
00:03:04.820 What they do is truly amazing.
00:03:07.060 Are you struggling with private student loan debt?
00:03:09.740 Is even your minimum payment higher than you can afford?
00:03:13.040 Maybe you're in default.
00:03:14.380 Well, you are not alone and Why Refi can help.
00:03:17.040 They refinance private student loans that others won't touch and they'll give you a custom
00:03:20.740 loan payment based on your ability to pay what you can actually afford.
00:03:25.280 They work with each borrower individually to craft a payment plan again that works for
00:03:30.980 them.
00:03:31.720 They can help you reduce your monthly payment and your total costs.
00:03:34.960 You will get a low fixed interest rate that you cannot get anywhere else.
00:03:38.420 You will be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
00:03:41.600 And the best part is Why Refi does not care what your credit score is.
00:03:45.900 So again, private student loan debts.
00:03:47.780 If they're wrecking your life, if they're destroying your dreams, you do not have to live with this
00:03:51.620 stress and worry anymore, go to whyrefi.com, Y-R-E-F-Y.com.
00:03:57.340 Make sure you tell them that Riley sent you.
00:03:59.500 Friday's episode, we talked about ICE, specifically the story of the five-year-old little boy that
00:04:04.740 mainstream media, especially left-wing mainstream media, totally ran with.
00:04:10.440 Honestly, I don't want to talk about ICE much more for a couple reasons.
00:04:16.200 And watching what has happened over the weekend and at the beginning half of this week,
00:04:20.620 I mean, it has like, I feel burdened by it.
00:04:25.360 Like, I feel a heavy weight on my shoulders watching the clips and the videos and the images
00:04:30.720 that surface online.
00:04:32.700 It is pure and unadulterated chaos, it seems, in Minneapolis.
00:04:39.260 It feels very Purge-like, the visuals, like the optics of it.
00:04:42.500 You've got people showing up to protest with loaded guns.
00:04:45.800 You've got the ICE agents there.
00:04:47.100 They've got their mask on.
00:04:48.120 Of course, they're armed, and rightfully so.
00:04:50.500 It's very dystopian.
00:04:51.720 Honestly, it feels like, kind of like colonial, like 1776, like facing each other with muskets 0.99
00:04:58.780 right now.
00:05:00.400 So to sum up how I feel in just a few sentences, I don't enjoy seeing death.
00:05:07.760 Number one.
00:05:08.240 I wish that Renee Goode and Alex Preddy were still alive.
00:05:12.980 ICE's job is necessary and good. 0.96
00:05:16.660 Both of those things can be true at the same time.
00:05:19.620 And what happened to Alex Preddy and Renee Goode would never happen to me, because I would
00:05:25.340 not interfere with a federal operation, certainly not with a loaded firearm at that.
00:05:31.420 Of course, I've built my platform on speaking the truth and highlighting reality.
00:05:38.420 And of course, this is no different.
00:05:40.380 I care about the facts.
00:05:42.280 So here they are.
00:05:44.560 First and foremost, what we know to be true.
00:05:47.020 We know that there are edited images surfacing, going viral online.
00:05:52.820 Again, we talked about the five-year-old little boy, a totally manipulated manufactured story
00:05:57.140 that ICE was targeting and detaining a five-year-old little boy with his, I mean, adorable little
00:06:02.540 boy, like chubby cheeks.
00:06:03.620 He had his backpack on.
00:06:04.420 He had just left preschool.
00:06:06.020 They made the story out to be that ICE had targeted this little boy and they were aiming
00:06:09.840 to deport him.
00:06:11.460 Again, not the case.
00:06:12.960 This little boy's father abandoned him.
00:06:14.920 I think we saw compassion from the ICE agents who sheltered him, brought him in from the cold,
00:06:20.820 and they safely put him in adult supervision.
00:06:23.940 Okay, that's not the story you heard from left-wing media outlets or from your favorite
00:06:28.780 Democratic elected officials.
00:06:30.820 But that's not it.
00:06:31.760 Again, we have seen images now of Alex Preddy, the man who ultimately lost his life during
00:06:36.900 that altercation with the ICE agent, going viral online.
00:06:41.180 These images have been altered by AI.
00:06:45.680 Again, artificial intelligence.
00:06:48.240 We're going to put them on screen here.
00:06:49.800 You can see on this side the original photo of Alex Preddy.
00:06:56.720 And look, there's nothing necessarily wrong with the photo, per se.
00:07:02.560 I think it makes him look more liberal, if that's a thing.
00:07:05.800 And yes, they certainly do have a look to them, generally.
00:07:08.840 I think it makes him look more liberal than the photo you see on the right side of the screen
00:07:14.520 here.
00:07:14.780 They have shortened his face, weirdly enough.
00:07:18.200 They've made him more tan.
00:07:20.200 He looks more veteran, patriotic-esque.
00:07:24.020 Okay, they did the exact same thing with Renee Good, if you can recall, after she tragically
00:07:30.180 lost her life.
00:07:31.180 Um, they used this photo of her online in all of the obituary services, memorial services,
00:07:38.660 uh, odes that were paid to her, where she had this long, blonde, beautiful, curly hair. 1.00
00:07:44.820 She looked like a mom, which she was a mom. 0.69
00:07:48.740 Uh, but that's not how she looked in the state of which she ultimately was at that protest. 0.98
00:07:56.040 The images that they were using of Renee Good were several years old, uh, back when she was
00:08:00.480 married to a man.
00:08:01.940 That's when she had children, uh, towards the end of her life, she divorced that man, married 0.99
00:08:07.280 a woman, shaved her head, looked very butch, looked very lesbian. 1.00
00:08:11.020 They didn't use those images. 0.99
00:08:12.980 Those weren't the images they selected because they don't make her out to be the crazy liberal 1.00
00:08:16.840 that she was when she died.
00:08:19.000 The fact that they need to do this says everything.
00:08:22.340 They know that they're losing this battle.
00:08:25.780 Uh, why, why did MSNBC show this photo of Alex Petty?
00:08:30.480 I mean, the only answer that I can come up with is that because human nature is to tend
00:08:37.020 to feel more deeply for people who are attractive.
00:08:40.780 Again, the guy on the left here, he looks like a left-wing agitator.
00:08:44.440 He looks like someone who would be at that protest.
00:08:46.220 But the guy on the right, much more attractive, clean cut.
00:08:49.060 He looks like a patriotic veteran.
00:08:51.600 This is the definition of propaganda, right?
00:08:54.180 These pictures that we've seen, the five-year-old little boy, the story that the left, left-wing
00:08:58.460 media ran with.
00:08:59.920 There's another photo circulating online of, and it's a pretty, like, I almost fell for
00:09:04.660 it, to be totally honest with you, of several ICE agents surrounded by Alex Petty.
00:09:09.580 You can see a gun pointed basically at the back of his head.
00:09:13.020 He's on the ground.
00:09:13.740 It appears to maybe be a cell phone on his hand.
00:09:15.760 But if you look at the photo on screen at his hand, that's not the right number of fingers.
00:09:20.720 And look at the ICE agent's head.
00:09:22.500 He actually doesn't have one.
00:09:24.180 Totally manipulated photo.
00:09:25.940 This is propaganda.
00:09:27.420 You can feel sympathy and have a position on the situation without this.
00:09:34.860 Total propaganda.
00:09:35.520 Another fact that we now know to be true is that Obama deported millions more illegals than
00:09:42.820 President Trump did, with no due process, by the way.
00:09:45.880 And where were the riots then?
00:09:47.400 We've got a photo on screen here of Barack Obama's ICE chief, who had just received an
00:09:51.520 award.
00:09:51.980 Obama's placing it around his neck for the removal of 920,000 illegals from the country.
00:09:58.540 Now, Donald Trump's ICE chief is called a Nazi.
00:10:03.760 If you're looking on screen at YouTube.com, then you know that it's the same person.
00:10:08.340 That is Barack Obama awarding Tom Homan.
00:10:12.460 In 2012, Obama deported 409,000 people.
00:10:16.280 And in 2025, President Trump deported 290,000 people.
00:10:20.820 Nearly double the amount in just one year from Obama to President Trump.
00:10:25.000 What's the difference?
00:10:25.640 The difference is mainstream media brainwashing.
00:10:29.100 There was no resistance when Obama did this because he had the support of media and local
00:10:34.540 and state law enforcement and both political parties.
00:10:37.740 That's not the case with President Trump.
00:10:39.300 President Trump faces obstacles from federal judges and defiant mayors and sheriffs in blue
00:10:44.100 cities like Philadelphia and the media and activists, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
00:10:49.300 They have made it nearly impossible for him to do the job that he promised to do on the
00:10:55.140 campaign trail.
00:10:55.780 I think they forget that President Trump campaigned on mass deportations, meaning that what we're
00:11:01.880 seeing is exactly what we voted for.
00:11:04.700 At least 77 million of us, right?
00:11:07.020 He won the popular vote.
00:11:08.380 He won the electorate.
00:11:09.600 We voted for this.
00:11:11.940 Another fact that we now know to be true is that ICE is in all 50 states.
00:11:16.800 It's not just happening in Minnesota.
00:11:18.940 They're in California.
00:11:20.200 They're in Florida.
00:11:21.760 They've deported more illegals in Texas, a red state, than in Minneapolis, than in the
00:11:27.160 state of Minnesota.
00:11:27.880 But still, you don't see Texas, again, a red state.
00:11:30.120 You don't see that burning down or riots or looting or protests.
00:11:34.820 Why is that?
00:11:35.840 Because Texas leadership isn't encouraging their residents to revolt.
00:11:40.780 That's where the trouble is.
00:11:42.080 That's the discrepancy here.
00:11:43.200 So ask yourself, is the problem really ICE doing their job, or is it the way that leadership,
00:11:50.760 especially in blue states and blue cities like Minneapolis, is it the way their leadership
00:11:55.040 has responded?
00:11:56.540 Now, over on Instagram, I have seen people, really women, a lot of women, posting on their 0.57
00:12:01.840 stories or on their feed.
00:12:03.940 And it's kind of like the little black square phenomenon all over again, where clearly women 0.99
00:12:12.040 in particular have fallen for the hysteria.
00:12:15.520 They believe they're being morally superior by saying something, by using their platform
00:12:21.240 again to comment on situations that I believe are pretty nuanced and situations that we're
00:12:27.060 lacking a lot of context of.
00:12:28.420 We've seen very few clips, very short clips from maybe several different angles.
00:12:33.120 But nonetheless, we're lacking context.
00:12:35.640 And so my question to these, again, women in particular, who are posting things on their
00:12:40.720 story, on their feeds, especially on Instagram, is, have you been morally consistent?
00:12:47.420 What do I mean by that?
00:12:48.760 Did you say anything when Laken Riley or the plethora of other young women just like her 0.68
00:12:55.340 died unjustly at the hands of an illegal immigrant?
00:12:58.520 Or did you say anything when teachers or U.S. military members or health care workers were
00:13:07.200 fired for refusing to comply with the autocratic vaccine mandate, right?
00:13:13.420 My body, my choice.
00:13:15.020 Did you say anything when Charlie Kirk was assassinated?
00:13:19.040 Or worse, did you find yourself happy or celebrating it?
00:13:23.880 Uh, we have not seen a lot of that moral consistency across the board by people who claim to be acting
00:13:31.180 out of compassion.
00:13:33.060 Uh, I said this last episode, and I will say it again.
00:13:37.500 Think critically.
00:13:39.520 Resist manipulation.
00:13:40.940 Take a second before posting something that you feel as if you must on your social media,
00:13:46.320 uh, to fit in or to keep a friendship that otherwise you would lose.
00:13:51.120 Resist that type of manipulation.
00:13:53.540 That's a really big red flag.
00:13:55.560 If you feel as if you must post something, you don't have to post anything.
00:14:00.060 You don't have to have an opinion on every single thing.
00:14:02.940 It doesn't make you a grandstanding person.
00:14:06.260 Resist that manipulation.
00:14:08.340 Uh, I will say in, in all of the coverage that we have seen surrounding ICE, I approach
00:14:14.580 this conversation as, of course, a conservative through and through.
00:14:18.220 But I think more importantly, I care about maintaining a biblical worldview.
00:14:24.920 Uh, I know that we have a God that is just, uh, I know that he corrects injustice where he
00:14:32.300 sees it.
00:14:33.240 Uh, we should do the same as his people.
00:14:35.660 He's very clear about what qualifies as evil, what he thinks of evil.
00:14:39.860 And, and I will say this about the propaganda piece that we have seen, uh, spreading like
00:14:45.460 a wildfire on social media, on mainstream media, uh, Christians being gullible is not 0.98
00:14:52.520 Christ-like.
00:14:53.480 Actually, it's sinful.
00:14:54.440 When you fall for weaponized empathy and spread that propaganda while calling it love or compassion
00:15:02.480 or empathy or, or whatever other word you want to use, you're not showing true compassion.
00:15:09.120 Understand again, those words have been conflated to mean something that they're really not.
00:15:13.580 You're functioning at that point as agents of chaos and division and enablers of evil.
00:15:21.360 So if you're a Christian and you find yourself struggling with the news, even watching the
00:15:25.540 news, or if you don't know how to interpret the actions of ICE or these protests, I encourage
00:15:31.040 you to read Romans 12 and 13.
00:15:34.520 Uh, that is what I read over the weekend.
00:15:37.000 Really, really good.
00:15:38.440 Um, I will always seek his word over my own opinion or the opinion of others, because I know
00:15:44.940 that he has the answers when we do not.
00:15:47.380 So last thing I will say about these ICE protests, uh, is that I know these guys aren't the good
00:15:56.960 guys.
00:15:57.700 If you're watching on screen at youtube.com, uh, this is some of the protests happening at
00:16:04.140 a Hilton hotel where I guess the agitators believed, uh, several ICE agents were being housed.
00:16:11.660 They were saying in this hotel, you can see here, I mean, they're throwing bricks through windows.
00:16:16.300 They're harassing the agents themselves and the poor hotel workers.
00:16:19.320 Uh, they've got spray paint, they're writing on the walls.
00:16:22.520 That is not the side of history that I want to be on.
00:16:26.780 Uh, good news that we have seen is that president Trump has now said that he has had good conversations
00:16:32.840 with governor walls, with, uh, Minneapolis mayor, Jacob Fry.
00:16:37.360 So that is a positive advancement that leaves me feeling hopeful and optimistic about the strategy
00:16:44.620 that they will impose in Minneapolis.
00:16:47.880 Although again, when you see some of the footage, it does appear like the city is just simply too far
00:16:53.400 gone.
00:16:54.000 Uh, we've seen people like Megan Kelly. 1.00
00:16:56.340 I know Sage Steele amplified it where, uh, which I don't, I think they're saying this sarcastically.
00:17:01.800 I don't think they actually think this, but they're saying, uh, you know, president Trump
00:17:05.720 should just pull out of Minneapolis, remove the federal agents, let the city burn down.
00:17:10.080 Again, I don't think they actually think that, but it would be interesting to see what would
00:17:14.320 happen to this city.
00:17:16.660 If total chaos could ensue in the way that I believe the protesters honestly want it to. 0.99
00:17:23.480 Evangelical Christianity is a cancer. 1.00
00:17:25.940 These are the worst of our country. 1.00
00:17:30.040 These are the worst people in our country because they use their religion in two ways 1.00
00:17:34.900 as a weapon and as a shield. 0.87
00:17:36.940 They weaponize it whenever they want to and say, we're on the moral high ground. 0.99
00:17:41.460 You're a lesbian. 1.00
00:17:42.100 You deserve to die. 1.00
00:17:43.380 You're a lesbian. 1.00
00:17:44.380 The cops shouldn't have revived you. 1.00
00:17:47.020 Oh, your parents are Mexicans and they brought you over here. 1.00
00:17:50.980 Yeah, you should go to jail and eat worm food. 0.99
00:17:53.100 And then when you call them out on it, oh my God, they're after the Christians. 1.00
00:17:59.560 How dare they?
00:18:01.160 How dare they?
00:18:02.200 We're so oppressed. 0.93
00:18:03.540 White Christians are so oppressed in this country and they want it both ways because 1.00
00:18:07.780 in the religion, that duplicity is taught.
00:18:11.960 You can be morally duplicitous.
00:18:14.400 You, you, you thrive in cognitive dissonance.
00:18:17.120 And so this is just a massive, massive problem. 0.97
00:18:22.120 And it should come as no surprise to anyone that of this cult that I'm talking about, white 1.00
00:18:27.820 evangelicals, I think over 80% went and voted triple trumped.
00:18:32.060 So she's talking about me and probably many of you.
00:18:35.720 I am a white evangelical Christian.
00:18:38.760 I did not triple trump.
00:18:40.160 I couldn't triple trump.
00:18:41.200 I would have triple trumped.
00:18:42.800 I think we should put that on a shirt.
00:18:43.960 It sounds like an Olympic sport, the triple trump.
00:18:48.580 Nonetheless, as a white evangelical Christian myself, I have never heard a single person,
00:18:56.460 nevermind another white evangelical Christian say, your parents are Mexican. 1.00
00:19:01.080 You should go to jail and eat worm food. 1.00
00:19:03.380 I've never heard that come from a Christian's mouth. 0.98
00:19:06.780 Like, I would love one verifiable source, Jennifer. 1.00
00:19:11.920 Like, show me one white Christian saying, you're a lesbian. 1.00
00:19:16.040 Cops shouldn't have revived you. 0.98
00:19:18.260 And newsflash, if they call themselves a Christian and they're saying that, they're likely not a 0.88
00:19:23.840 Christian.
00:19:24.440 Or at least we're not reading from the same Bible.
00:19:26.240 And to that point, like, I'm sure there are plenty of atheists or people who are agnostic,
00:19:32.300 who support the actions of ICE.
00:19:35.700 She's conflating Christianity with law and order, with, like, morality.
00:19:42.360 And she's acting as if Christian persecution is not a thing.
00:19:48.620 It is a thing, domestically and globally, right?
00:19:52.920 What happened in Minneapolis, for crying out loud, at City's Church, we talked about this
00:19:56.680 on the episode with Michelle Tafoya.
00:19:59.400 This was a church that was invaded because it was a church, right?
00:20:05.000 They would have called this a hate crime if people rushed in to a mosque where Muslims
00:20:10.780 were gathered, or to a synagogue, or a Hindu temple.
00:20:14.040 But no, this happened to white evangelical Christians.
00:20:17.460 So it's a heroic act of journalism on behalf of Don Lemon, who is protected by the First
00:20:23.060 Amendment.
00:20:23.560 Or what about the Covenant shooting in Nashville?
00:20:26.000 Have we forgotten that so quickly?
00:20:28.060 This was a woman who identified as a man, so someone who identified as trans, who specifically
00:20:33.800 targeted white Christian children.
00:20:37.420 Three nine-year-old kids died.
00:20:40.320 And Jennifer and her entirely irrelevant co-hosts would be in the streets rioting if three nine-year-old 1.00
00:20:46.680 children were shot and killed solely for being in the country illegally.
00:20:50.100 But she's not sad about the kids who lost their lives at the Covenant school because they and
00:20:55.540 their families are a cancer to society.
00:20:58.620 What about Nigeria?
00:20:59.980 This is what Nicki Minaj has used her platform to speak up so eloquently about, before the
00:21:05.660 UN even.
00:21:06.380 Last week, we saw Islamic extremists who abducted 174 Nigerian Christians while they were worshiping
00:21:14.720 in church this last week.
00:21:18.660 They raided the church.
00:21:20.160 They blocked the exits.
00:21:21.080 I think only nine people escaped.
00:21:23.760 Reportedly, over 125,000 Christians have died, were murdered, not died.
00:21:29.880 They were murdered since 2009 in Nigeria.
00:21:33.660 That sounds a lot like Christian persecution to me, Jennifer Welch.
00:21:37.820 Iran, does she know how dangerous it is to be a Christian in countries like North Korea, 0.64
00:21:42.700 Somalia, Yemen, Sudan?
00:21:45.840 These are the kind of women, Jennifer Welch and her co-host, I don't know the co-host's 1.00
00:21:50.140 name, who would have like the co-exist sticker on their bumper plate, but in reality, they
00:21:57.160 don't want to co-exist at all.
00:21:58.960 She just called people like myself, again, probably many of you, cancers to society, the
00:22:05.880 worst cancers to society. 1.00
00:22:09.340 And like I said, the co-host, like I have seen so many of Jennifer Welch's incredibly stupid 1.00
00:22:16.980 takes going viral online. 1.00
00:22:19.920 Again, most of the time for how retarded these takes are. 0.98
00:22:23.600 And it's the same split screen format where you have Jennifer Welch on the left side of
00:22:28.040 the screen, and you've got the other woman on the right side of the screen, and she's 1.00
00:22:31.400 wearing these like ridiculous fruit fly looking glasses, and I have never heard her say a
00:22:37.120 word, ever. 0.92
00:22:38.820 I think this show, this podcast, is really just Jennifer Welch like talking to herself
00:22:43.800 with the other woman, homegirl on the right, just kind of like nodding along, I guess, in
00:22:49.200 agreement.
00:22:50.600 I wonder if they ever sit back and like realize how insane and destructive and politically
00:22:59.760 charged they sound. 1.00
00:23:01.880 Maybe that's like the plot, just to be so utterly wrong and have these stupidest takes strictly 0.99
00:23:08.140 for like virality purposes. 0.99
00:23:10.360 I don't know.
00:23:11.240 It's kind of like watching a humiliation ritual at this point.
00:23:14.620 Last thing I want to talk to you guys about is the most recent, yes, most recent, because
00:23:21.280 this has happened before, most recent apology letter from Kanye, or I guess now legally he
00:23:26.720 goes by the name of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
00:23:30.540 He took out a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal titled, To Those I've Hurt to Publicly
00:23:35.320 Apologize.
00:23:36.460 Let's read a little bit here.
00:23:37.800 He says, 25 years ago, I was in a car accident that broke my jaw and caused injury to the right
00:23:42.080 frontal lobe of my brain.
00:23:43.200 At the time, the focus was on the visible damage, the fracture, the swelling, and the
00:23:46.660 immediate physical trauma.
00:23:48.000 The deeper injury, the one inside my skull, went unnoticed.
00:23:51.800 Comprehensive scans were not done, neurological exams were limited, and the possibility of
00:23:55.540 a frontal lobe injury was never raised.
00:23:57.800 It wasn't properly diagnosed until 2023.
00:24:00.380 That medical oversight caused serious damage to my mental health and led to my bipolar type
00:24:04.640 1 diagnosis.
00:24:06.120 Bipolar disorder comes with its own defense system, denial.
00:24:09.340 When you're manic, you don't think you're sick.
00:24:11.300 You think everyone else is overreacting.
00:24:12.800 You feel like you're seeing the world more clearly than ever, when in reality, you're
00:24:16.800 losing your grip entirely.
00:24:18.520 Once people label you as crazy, you feel as if you cannot contribute anything meaningful
00:24:22.280 to the world.
00:24:23.280 It's easy for people to joke and laugh it off when, in fact, this is a very serious,
00:24:27.220 debilitating disease you can die from.
00:24:29.320 According to the World Health Organization and Cambridge University, people with bipolar
00:24:33.100 disorder have a life expectancy that is shortened by 10 to 15 years on average and a two to three
00:24:37.740 times higher all-cause mortality rate than the general population.
00:24:41.300 This is on par with severe heart disease, type 1 diabetes, HIV, and cancer, all lethal
00:24:45.820 and fatal if left untreated.
00:24:47.380 The scariest thing about this disorder is how persuasive it is when it tells you you don't
00:24:50.800 need help.
00:24:51.580 It makes you blind but convince you you have insight.
00:24:54.120 You feel powerful, certain, and unstoppable.
00:24:56.440 I lost touch with reality.
00:24:57.740 Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem.
00:24:59.580 I said and did things I deeply regret.
00:25:01.480 Some of the people I loved the most, I treated the worst.
00:25:04.320 You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to love someone who
00:25:08.420 was at times unrecognizable.
00:25:10.460 Looking back, I became detached from my true self.
00:25:12.900 In that fractured state, I gravitated towards the most destructive symbol I could find, the
00:25:17.180 swastika, and even sold t-shirts bearing it.
00:25:19.240 One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type 1 are the disconnected moments, many of
00:25:24.300 which I still can't recall, that led to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes
00:25:28.160 feels like an out-of-body experience.
00:25:30.240 I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state and am committed to accountability,
00:25:34.340 treatment, and meaningful change.
00:25:36.160 It does not excuse what I did, though.
00:25:38.020 I am not a Nazi nor an anti-Semite.
00:25:40.360 I love Jewish people.
00:25:41.640 To the black community, which held me down through all the highs and lows and the darkest 1.00
00:25:44.800 of times.
00:25:45.760 The black community is unquestionably the foundation of who I am.
00:25:48.380 I am so sorry to have let you down.
00:25:50.040 I love us.
00:25:51.320 In early 2025, I fell into a four-month-long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid, and
00:25:55.360 impulsive behavior that destroyed my life.
00:25:57.180 As the situation became increasingly unsustainable, there were times I didn't want to be here anymore.
00:26:02.660 Having bipolar disorder is not a state of constant mental illness.
00:26:05.520 When you go into the manic episode, you are ill at that point.
00:26:08.420 When you're not in an episode, you are completely normal, and that's when the wreckage from the
00:26:12.080 illness hits the hardest.
00:26:13.460 Hitting rock bottom a few months ago, my wife encouraged me to finally get help.
00:26:16.780 I have found comfort in Reddit forums, of all places.
00:26:20.020 Different people speak of being in manic or depressive episodes of a similar nature.
00:26:23.400 I read their stories and realized that I wasn't alone.
00:26:25.980 It's not just me who ruins their entire life once a year, despite taking meds every day,
00:26:30.040 and being told by the so-called doctors in the world that I am not bipolar, but merely
00:26:33.440 experiencing symptoms of autism.
00:26:36.460 My words as a leader in my community have real global impact and influence.
00:26:40.400 In my mania, I lost complete sight of that.
00:26:42.400 As I find my new baseline and new center through an effective regime of medication, therapy,
00:26:47.200 exercise, and clean living, I have newfound, much-needed clarity.
00:26:50.440 I am pouring my energy into positive, meaningful art, music, clothing, design, and other new
00:26:55.140 ideas to help the world.
00:26:56.580 I'm not asking for sympathy or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness.
00:27:00.440 I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.
00:27:05.520 Goodness gracious, this is a man who has lived so many lives.
00:27:13.780 I can remember Kanye West when he did his whole gospel thing.
00:27:20.040 He's wearing the cloak and on stage and singing gospel in a choir.
00:27:24.640 Of course, the swastika shirts.
00:27:26.520 Remember at the VMAs when Taylor Swift is up there and he's there to present the word
00:27:31.360 and he jumps up and he says, yo, Taylor, you know, I'm happy for you.
00:27:34.660 I'm gonna let you finish.
00:27:35.820 But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.
00:27:39.200 He has lived so many lives.
00:27:42.720 My first thought when I read this, when I saw this was, can you even get bipolar disorder
00:27:48.460 from a car accident?
00:27:50.940 Like I know brain injuries, brains in general, like are very complex.
00:27:54.920 Um, I've heard of brain tumors causing erratic and impulsive behavior, but I don't think
00:28:01.260 I've ever heard of a traumatic brain injury causing something, something to this effect.
00:28:07.300 And for clarity, that is not me saying that I don't think he has bipolar disorder.
00:28:11.720 I 110% think he does, but I've never heard of that.
00:28:16.760 Honestly, I should ask chat GPT if that's a thing.
00:28:19.200 And it's really sad.
00:28:19.980 Like we have been able to witness the many, many crash outs that Kanye West has had over
00:28:25.020 the years in real time.
00:28:27.200 Um, mental illness is real.
00:28:29.980 He clearly struggles with it.
00:28:31.580 Bipolar and mania is not an easy thing for anyone, especially a powerful man with the
00:28:38.100 platform that he has, as he alluded to in such a demonic entertainment industry.
00:28:44.500 It can't be easy to deal with in the limelight.
00:28:47.640 And I, I, one thing I found interesting is he talks about finding comfort on Reddit of
00:28:52.680 all places.
00:28:53.580 Most people that I know that I interact with don't spend much time on Reddit because it's
00:28:58.980 like a cesspool.
00:29:00.120 I think oftentimes of left wing indoctrination.
00:29:04.220 I've talked to so many detransitioners. 1.00
00:29:06.900 So people who have obviously undergone either surgeries or hormones, believing that they were
00:29:12.640 something that they aren't now detransitioning.
00:29:15.280 Uh, there's a commonality where so many of those people say that they were on Reddit and
00:29:20.980 they found themselves being affirmed by a group of people who led them to believe all
00:29:25.940 of the lies, uh, that they were told.
00:29:28.160 Like they were correct to feel as if they're born in the wrong body and really horrible
00:29:31.500 things.
00:29:31.940 They say a lot of that stemmed from Reddit.
00:29:34.020 So it was interesting him talking about finding comfort on that forum.
00:29:38.780 Uh, I think this is actually a pretty good apology.
00:29:43.920 Good, I guess, uh, in air quotes.
00:29:46.320 I mean, you have to wonder, did this come from him?
00:29:49.160 Was, I mean, he talks about medicine and therapy.
00:29:52.160 I would imagine if he wrote this, like he was medicated.
00:29:54.740 This come from a marketing firm.
00:29:57.020 His PR people, was this written by Chad GPT?
00:30:00.360 I don't know, but it seems like a very thought out apology.
00:30:05.420 He talks about earning forgiveness.
00:30:08.700 Uh, one more thing I noted in reading this apology is he said that it was actually his
00:30:13.500 wife who encouraged him to finally get help.
00:30:17.640 Is this the same wife who runs around literally naked? 1.00
00:30:22.180 Like naked. 0.76
00:30:23.900 I don't know which red carpet it was.
00:30:25.440 They were at some red carpet event where she's got a coat on and she takes off the coat and
00:30:30.180 she's wearing literally nothing.
00:30:32.060 I think they should go and get help together.
00:30:35.120 Uh, that is my unprofessional opinion.
00:30:38.280 Now, the timing of this, uh, for context, this apology comes just days before the release
00:30:44.060 of his new album, Bully.
00:30:46.140 I think it's out on January 30th.
00:30:48.380 So the end of this month.
00:30:50.180 Um, but I know last November he privately met with the chief rabbi, I believe of Morocco.
00:30:56.800 I think it's Rabbi Pinto.
00:30:57.920 Um, I remember the cliffs.
00:30:59.780 I think they met in New York city.
00:31:01.440 He apologized.
00:31:02.780 Kanye West apologized for his past comments.
00:31:06.000 And so now I guess we just wait.
00:31:07.680 Like, will his actions reflect his words?
00:31:11.540 Uh, thus far, he's been the king of running different psyops and apologizing and relapsing.
00:31:18.160 But as a Christian, um, I believe the right response is to pray for him because we have
00:31:24.540 a God who makes all things new.
00:31:27.820 Uh, we'll be watching Kanye new album coming out January 30th.
00:31:32.180 I'm curious what the response of Candace will be.
00:31:34.900 I know her and yay were close.
00:31:37.240 I don't know if they remain close.
00:31:39.140 Um, but I'm curious if she will have a response on the most recent switch up from him.
00:31:46.480 We shall see.
00:31:47.280 In the meantime, subscribe, like, comment, follow us at the Riley Gaines show on Instagram,

00:32:03.140 Bye-bye.
00:32:05.700 Bye-bye.
