00:00:18.460 actually we made an episode on college football leading up to the national national championship
00:00:23.920 game of course we saw osu win this year really in a in a blowout but we talked about the the
00:00:29.340 revival that is happening on college campuses and especially on these these college football teams
00:00:35.100 with these athletes these players really leading the charge uh but this week this sunday it is super
00:00:41.380 bowl sunday uh so today's guest is one that i am just thrilled about uh she's someone who i've i've
00:00:50.560 looked up to for a long time uh i've i'm kind of i'll admit this unashamedly uh i look to her for
00:00:57.680 fashion inspo she's like the most iconic uh inner inner mingling of of football and feminism and i
00:01:05.120 love it and so i'm just very very excited for that conversation we are going to be discussing
00:01:09.920 all things chiefs if that gives you a little hint but before i tell you who it is i want to tell you
00:01:16.000 about today's podcast episode sponsor it is good ranchers you've heard me talk about them before
00:01:22.300 you probably don't want to hear the spiel again but i'm going to tell you and you should look them
00:01:26.680 up at good ranchers.com because uh the meat that they are are producing and shipping to your door
00:01:33.260 set is amazing no antibiotics no hormones no seed oils again the quality is chef's kiss it is

00:01:53.540 of free ground beef chicken or salmon in every single order for an entire year so again that is
00:01:59.940 good ranchers.com so the chiefs man they they've got a lot of pushback this this season uh from
00:02:08.740 a lot of different fans maybe maybe those who are not chiefs fans uh saying that that it's become so
00:02:15.260 corporate and that the nfl refs are are definitely being paid off by by the chiefs coach uh but nonetheless
00:02:21.300 you cannot deny their record i believe it's a 15 and 2 record leading up to the super bowl
00:02:26.740 uh we're going to cue this clip of president donald trump here we're gonna win with every single facet
00:02:33.880 we're gonna win so much you may even get tired of winning and you'll say please please it's too much
00:02:41.080 winning we can't take it anymore mr president it's too much and i'll say no it isn't we have to keep
00:02:48.220 winning we have to win more we're gonna win more i just love that clip of course he's not talking
00:02:54.860 about the chiefs there but i imagine those are the same words that are coming out of the mouths of
00:02:58.660 of travis kelsey and patrick mahomes in the locker room uh today's guest as i alluded to uh she's a
00:03:05.760 beauty queen quite literally she is formerly miss kansas usa uh she is an accomplished athlete soccer
00:03:12.140 player herself she's now like a health enthusiast she is a philanthropist she runs a blog she's a
00:03:17.540 cover girl she's an heiress to the kansas city chiefs franchise hello uh have you ever heard someone
00:03:25.020 uh who is more well-rounded and impressive than that and she's only 25 years old that's right we are
00:03:32.540 going to be talking to gracie hunt daughter of the the owners of the chiefs so very excited for this
00:03:40.060 conversation here and you can check it out right now well gracie thank you for joining the gains
00:03:46.020 for girls podcast i was telling you right before we hit record that this is like dream guests right
00:03:51.900 here uh of course you are are you're beautiful you're a beauty queen yourself an accomplished
00:03:57.680 athlete i mean the list goes on a philanthropist it's it's amazing what you've been able to do and
00:04:03.800 what you've been able to accomplish at only 25 years old um i've loved watching you i see you on
00:04:09.400 the fox networks all the time reading bible verses and sharing some some pre-game encouragement and
00:04:15.900 you always do it with the cutest outfits um you've like revolutionized fashion in the football industry
00:04:21.560 and so before we get into to anything and talk all things super bowl uh could you just introduce
00:04:27.280 yourself to my audience well hi riley thank you so much for having me i'm so excited to get to chat
00:04:33.920 with you today and gosh that was the sweetest intro ever you're honestly that just the best hype woman
00:04:39.680 um well i'm gracie hunt i'm daughter of chiefs chairman and ceo clark hunt uh grew up in a very
00:04:46.940 athletic competitive family grip playing sports and also competed in pageantry and uh yeah i'm super
00:04:54.400 excited to talk all things football fashion and philanthropy with you absolutely you mentioned playing
00:04:59.620 sports uh a large part of my audience the people who who view and listen to this show they either
00:05:05.340 play sports themselves uh a lot of a lot of parents of athletes or coaches or what have you and so
00:05:11.460 um talk a little bit about your your sports career what that looked like for you how that shaped you
00:05:16.800 into the person you are and i know you have in your own right been an advocate for women in sports
00:05:22.320 absolutely my dad was my role model when i was little he played college soccer and he was the
00:05:29.560 captain of the smu soccer team and was my first coach he watched me toddle around and kick a ball
00:05:35.000 when i was just you know three years old and we play we'd play soccer in his closet every night which
00:05:41.160 was so fun and his closet where the clothes hung those were the goals um and then in first grade he
00:05:47.080 wanted to help build my endurance for my little first grade soccer team so he'd put me on the
00:05:50.840 treadmill before breakfast every day and have me run a mile and just taught me the principle that
00:05:56.520 nothing worth having in life comes easy and hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard
00:06:02.200 and um and so those were really just what carried me throughout my athletic career and i loved it i
00:06:08.360 loved working with a team towards a common goal i loved um the camaraderie and uh and the
00:06:14.000 competitive outlet absolutely absolutely and you've seen that play out in your life now i know
00:06:20.180 i know you are still running and doing different things and definitely still a health enthusiast so
00:06:26.120 that that competitive drive uh that's your your dad instilled in you at really such a young age is
00:06:31.900 i know something that is still with you um and so one other thing i wanted to bring up again to to dive
00:06:37.660 deeper into you and who you are as a person because it really is um beyond impressive i wanted to to talk
00:06:45.560 about your philanthropy um it's just refreshing to see again someone so young like yourself but also
00:06:51.320 so busy uh dedicate time to making the world and your community around you a better place so can you
00:06:57.560 just just briefly touch on on some of your philanthropy work i'd say a huge credit goes to my parents just
00:07:04.520 for raising us with a good perspective of reality and with the understanding that to whom much is given
00:07:12.280 much is expected and at the end of the day you have to have a greater why right and nothing that you
00:07:17.520 necessarily accomplish or achieve can be taken with you and life's all about loving god and loving people
00:07:24.300 and would really they did an excellent job exposing us to people in really unfortunate circumstances when
00:07:32.420 we'd go on a family trip we would go and and see what real life looks like for people in other
00:07:39.600 countries who live in slums in rio de janeiro or in shanty towns in south africa and i think that just
00:07:47.460 gave me perspective and perspective is everything and it made me want to love other people and serve
00:07:55.420 other people and so whether it was with my special olympics athlete as a partner player and then um a board
00:08:02.700 and advocate and global ambassador for them or whether it's been with um the chiefs women's organization
00:08:08.540 and serving our kansas city community service is a big part of my life and in my family's life
00:08:14.200 now all things chiefs number one i mean how are you feeling it it must be this surreal feeling um of
00:08:25.120 course the history even over the past few years that the chiefs have had uh but to now be in this
00:08:30.540 same position how are you feeling to be going back to back to back is surreal and we're definitely
00:08:36.360 all levitating over here on cloud nine but we're excited we're hopeful and um you know when you are
00:08:43.840 just looking at the incredible leadership that there is both on the team with patrick and travis and
00:08:50.040 chris jones and all the incredible leadership there is in the locker room and then you're looking at
00:08:53.640 you know mr president donovan who's the chief's president and you're looking at brett veach coach
00:08:59.500 reed and then my dad as chairman and sort of the organizational culture they've built
00:09:04.160 you can just trust in the process and so we have a sense of peace heading into next week but it's
00:09:10.060 definitely been a lot of moving parts but all good things there's got to be i would imagine just more
00:09:15.640 pressure with this super bowl being you know with a three-peat on the table but i'm sure it's it's been
00:09:22.640 amazing to see some of the different people who have come out of the woodworks to to cheer you guys on
00:09:27.580 uh of course one of my favorites was president trump i think we have his tweet here uh he loved
00:09:33.480 seeing his tweet yeah aren't they so funny he he tweeted he said congratulations to the kansas city
00:09:38.640 chiefs what a great team in all caps as he does what a great team coach quarterback and virtually
00:09:43.680 everything else including those fantastic fans that voted for me parentheses maga and record numbers
00:09:50.500 and then he went on to of course congratulate the bills on their tremendous season so
00:09:54.660 uh i imagine it's cool to see to see people i mean the president of the united states
00:09:59.100 cheering your team on of course your your parents franchise on it's pretty cool it's pretty awesome
00:10:05.660 sometimes i just look at you know whoever i'm talking to i'm like yeah that just wasn't on my
00:10:10.800 2025 bingo card but here we are and wow that's absolutely incredible no how could it be um someone
00:10:18.440 other than than patrick mahomes or travis kelsey who got a lot of attention last season uh making
00:10:24.520 nfl history in jersey sales uh is harrison butker uh this is someone who i will tell you my brother
00:10:31.640 uh he interned with josh holly and got to spend some time with harrison and just said he is the most
00:10:37.060 amazing person of course a lot of people see him on the field and we've grown to know his heart and
00:10:42.700 his convictions but my brother spending time with him was like riley like you you couldn't possibly
00:10:47.800 imagine the kind of guy he is when you're talking with him so i wanted to ask you someone who has
00:10:53.600 kind of that up close and personal relationship of course with your parents and with the team
00:10:58.080 how does someone like harrison butker's commitment to to faith uh really inspired the team in the
00:11:05.480 locker room and of course on the field harrison's an amazing guy and is the most kind genuine person
00:11:12.340 he's an awesome family man i love his family they're so sweet and precious and i think what's been
00:11:18.720 really cool to see this year especially but you've definitely seen it in other years is
00:11:23.640 i just think it's such a sense of iron sharpening iron and harrison and his boldness and his faith
00:11:30.120 encourages you know other guys to be bold in their faith and um and you've seen patrick be so bold in
00:11:36.720 his faith and thanking god right off the bat when we won the afc championship on sunday and and i think
00:11:43.640 boldness empowers boldness and um it's just so refreshing to see and um and yeah i just think
00:11:53.160 he's such a light to everybody around him yeah that that um that's definitely i feel like the
00:11:58.980 perspective a lot of us who who don't get to have that day-to-day interaction or that personal
00:12:04.060 interaction feel as well and and you mentioned iron sharpening iron which is something that that
00:12:09.920 we've talked about we've talked about on this show before i did a an episode a few weeks back about
00:12:14.480 just this revival that we are seeing uh really across the country i would say especially among
00:12:21.720 the youth and especially among athletes uh the episode was was pretty specific to what we saw
00:12:28.540 in the college football playoffs um and the bowl games and different things leading up to the national
00:12:33.580 championship game and how we saw these players declaring the goodness of the lord uh sharing
00:12:40.540 that their their faith in him understanding win or loss and victory or defeat uh that he is their one
00:12:46.420 true savior and so is that something you've noticed in the nfl as well like this this thirst for christ
00:12:52.340 almost most definitely i think i see it both within the nfl and then as you mentioned it's
00:12:59.060 pervaded our entire society and it's so exciting to see and actually in just a few weeks there's this
00:13:05.800 massive event called gather 25 which will be the first uh 25 hour gathering of the global church
00:13:13.440 because thanks to technology all of the um you can understand what's being said and sung um in you know
00:13:21.560 a church in africa and they're going to live stream the whole thing for 25 consecutive hours and
00:13:26.400 and i feel like the boldness that you're seeing in these college campuses and in the nfl um you know
00:13:32.960 god's working in all of it and we don't know what's going on but i'm just over here trying to do the next
00:13:38.700 right thing and um if you put god first everything else will align amen amen uh so you were born into
00:13:46.840 like football family royalty um i didn't know this i i admittedly i was you know looking it up and
00:13:54.260 trying to understand a little bit more about your background and i i found out your grandfather
00:13:58.760 founded the chiefs maybe i should have known that and is is credited for i mean essentially naming
00:14:03.700 the super bowl and of course your parents now but but i wanted to ask you about about you you know
00:14:09.300 what are some of your career aspirations and the plans that you have for yourself maybe in the world
00:14:15.280 of football but but even beyond i love football and i also love fashion and i grew up watching my mom
00:14:21.320 help lead the nfl women's apparel initiative which started in 2012 she worked together with some of
00:14:27.040 the other nfl owners wives to make this possible and i modeled for the nfl juniors apparel campaign
00:14:33.280 and just wanted women in football to not have to cut up their husbands and boyfriends jerseys and now
00:14:41.040 we have such incredible fashion for women and so getting it to create a capsule collaboration
00:14:47.040 and partner with aaron andrews and provide female fans fashion that they'll love was an absolute
00:14:53.020 dream come true to me and it's definitely something i care a lot about and um and i'm excited for the
00:15:00.100 future of football and fashion i love this i love this uh this awesome inner mixing of the two
00:15:07.860 because oftentimes they're put on on two separate uh playing fields and and there's not a lot of
00:15:14.080 mixing but like i said in in uh previously you really have revolutionized this and it's been cool
00:15:18.920 to see other people too uh i know britney mahomes she's always so fashionable uh someone i'm sure
00:15:24.120 gotten to know very well taylor swift is in the stands with you guys she's always dressed super cool
00:15:28.380 so uh to see what you've been able to do and build and how that has spread uh is something that
00:15:34.380 that i'm looking forward to and so last question for you score prediction i know it's um i know it's
00:15:42.600 it's hard to say but what is your your predicted score for this next sunday gosh i can't give you a
00:15:49.280 predicted score i just don't dabble in that but i do know that it's going to be really competitive
00:15:55.440 it's going to be probably pretty close and i know we're all really excited for um for this massive
00:16:01.640 rematch in the big game there we go well i am just blessed to be able to spend time with you and
00:16:07.260 to chat with you uh hopefully one day get to to meet you in real life but in the meantime
00:16:11.720 keep rocking i will keep amplifying and cheering you on uh keep standing firm in your faith because
00:16:17.520 it's an encouragement uh to people like me uh but but again far beyond that uh to to young old it
00:16:26.540 doesn't matter the demographic it doesn't matter these the different identity politics that go into it
00:16:30.740 uh you're an inspiration to so many so uh incredibly grateful for you and excited to see all that you
00:16:36.360 accomplish in the future well thank you so much riley you're an absolute inspiration to me too and
