00:04:10.560Capitol Hill, a raid, pre-dawn raid, a rocking Capitol Hill yesterday morning, bright and early, before you and I are up with our first cup of coffee.
00:04:21.000Federal agents descending on the Washington home of Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar.
00:04:24.980and the Justice Department now confirming the raid as part of an ongoing federal criminal
00:04:29.840investigation. And we're still trying to figure out what that federal criminal investigation
00:04:34.200is about. I think her father might have something to do with it. And, you know, the thing is that
00:04:41.400federal agents were outside her home in Washington. They were there with a warrant
00:04:44.300by a Democrat judge. And we'll get into that in just a minute.
00:04:48.120there. So you see those individuals in those HSI jackets. HSI is a clue here that it's related to
00:04:55.320immigration fraud potentially because HSI is Homeland Security Investigations. Homeland
00:05:00.660Security Investigations are a subdivision or department of ICE. ICE immigration must have
00:05:08.080something to do with potential immigration fraud. They had a warrant signed by a judge that said
00:05:13.560they could go inside and look around her house. Now, this just doesn't happen just on a whim.
00:05:18.120OK, the judge sat on this for about a week. This is very, very rare. It's rare, number one, because it's a member of Congress. Number two, that we're three weeks out from an election. Now, I don't think this is going to affect her election. She's going to win the general election by a landslide. She's a Democrat congresswoman representing a Democrat district. And this is going to rile up her base and get them out to vote. It probably helps her rather than hurts her in her reelection.
00:05:42.860She's probably raised fundraise the hell out of some dollars in the last 24 hours.
00:05:48.340I would be shocked if it weren't six or seven figures that she's raised over the last 24 hours from all of this.
00:05:55.340But this is rare because and I think, too, part of it is there is some suspicion that papers her father filled out decades ago when she was a little kid coming to America may have something to do with that potential fraud.
00:06:08.340Other outlets have gone further and have said that it's connected to the question of whether
00:06:12.900her father incorrectly or fraudulently filled out forms 20 years ago or so when she became
00:06:35.940The state of the law is if she happened to have been 18 at that time, she may not have been eligible for that pathway to citizenship.
00:06:42.960So that may be one of the questions they're examining.
00:06:47.080Quick reference there. State of the law says that 18 is eligibility cut off for that.
00:06:52.900Now, there's been some argument and rumor, and we're trying to verify it, that she was, in fact, over the age limit of being able to get citizenship.
00:07:00.600And the documents were fraudulent. The document said that she was 17.
00:07:04.280she may not have been 17 she might have been a few years older than that which if that's the
00:07:09.720case that would constitute a form of immigration fraud not to mention marrying your brother which
00:07:16.120we all saw last night mark wayne mullen he confirmed that she married her brother well
00:07:20.860what's going to happen mr secretary something's going to happen
00:07:47.440And the judge said there is a real reason to search.
00:07:51.060Now, watch this. This is this is a this is Theo Wold.
00:07:54.720He is a former attorney general, and he will explain and break down how and why a judge issues a search warrant.
00:08:04.400In order to get a search warrant authorized and signed by a judge, you've got to have probable cause.
00:08:12.900So let's talk about that probable cause.
00:08:15.460That judge looked at potential probable cause because they don't want us putting all the pieces together.
00:08:21.840But the judge took a look at the Fed's potential probable cause, what they believe to be probable cause, said this probable cause is evidence maybe in her home.
00:08:30.580That's why we want to go in and search it.
00:08:33.400And this is potentially why and what they were looking for at her house yesterday, according to the former Attorney General Theo Wald.
00:08:40.920And so that means that what investigators presented to that magistrate was sufficient to prove that there is some kind of nexus potentially located in that house, documentation, a hard drive or some kind of evidence related to a crime.
00:08:56.720It's actually simpler, simpler than that. And it's how it works together in Washington.
00:09:03.100But the judges who signed the warrants are not picked by any presidents, by the way.
00:09:06.860There are rumors running around last week that these were Democrat judges picked by Obama or Biden.
00:09:12.940That is not correct. Now, it is correct to say this is a Democrat court because the magistrates were picked by a court in D.C.
00:09:21.720Those judges in the court that picked the magistrates, one of whom signed off on the search warrant, those judges were appointed by Obama.
00:09:30.940And there's potentially four different magistrates. They were all appointed by an Obama judge to the D.C. court as magistrates. So I'm doing the math here. One plus one equals two. That if you have Democrat judges appointed by a Democrat president, the Democrat magistrate judges that they appoint are going to be, you guessed it. Did you get a ding, ding, ding? They're going to be Democrats.
00:09:55.260So so other judges pick the magistrate judges and the ones who do the picking that were put on the court were appointed by by Democrat President Obama.
00:10:05.960And so that is this wasn't like a rubber stamp. OK, this was not a rubber stamp for the Trump administration to go in and ruin Ilhan Omar's life.
00:10:15.260That is not that's not what happened. The judge sat on this for more than a week.
00:10:25.260He or she sat on this for days to figure out what was the right move and made that decision three weeks out from her own election.
00:10:36.860Now, prosecutors and the judge, they went back and forth.
00:10:39.500They talked about special rules that protect members of Congress.
00:10:42.760Then the judge still signed the search warrant just weeks before her election inside the window that typically the DOJ, the Justice Department, and even Homeland Security.0.63
00:10:55.260they're going to stay away from someone's election because they don't want to be accused of
00:10:59.900interfering in the election. In years past, it's been the overall practice of the Justice
00:11:06.020Department to generally avoid any overt investigative activity, indictments, raids,
00:11:11.740this close to a federal election when the subject of the probe is on the ballot like Omar is on the
00:11:17.160ballot. Extremely, extremely law enforcement activity connected to a sitting member of
00:11:23.220Congress who is up for election in just a few weeks in this period when typically under Justice
00:11:28.560Department tradition, investigations go dark so as not to impact ongoing elections and influence
00:11:34.960how voters vote when they go to the ballot box. This was a very selective judge selected by the
00:11:43.960most probably the most Democrat appointed court in the country. He still looked at the probable
00:11:50.100cause. He looked at the file and said, yes, you can search her house three weeks before an election.
00:11:57.060That's not a theory. That is the process. And that is exactly that is exactly what happened.
00:12:04.160And Ilhan Omar, I hope this is part of it, but she married her brother, supposedly. I mean,
00:12:10.680there's a lot of documentation that means she's here illegally and she's a congresswoman. And I0.76
00:12:15.840I hope you're going to be looking at that or somebody is.
00:14:18.420Father and son share the name, which is a Somali tradition.
00:14:26.340Trump says, Trump says she married her brother.
00:14:31.040and Ilhan Omar I hope this is part of it but she married her brother supposedly I mean there's a
00:14:42.460lot of documentation that means she's here illegally and she's a congresswoman and I hope
00:14:47.400you're going to be looking at that and if she's here illegally she can't be a member of congress0.69
00:14:51.400and technically she wouldn't be denaturalized she'd be just be deported because she's not legal
00:14:56.640so there's a lot of documentation he claims on this VP Vance said there's something fishy there
00:15:04.540do I have this clip uh 13 this is what Vice President Vance had to say I don't want to
00:15:10.380prejudge an investigation I mean you you read the things about Ilhan Omar and about you know who she
00:15:16.100married and whether she didn't marry this person or that person it certainly seems like something
00:15:19.980fishy is there but everybody's entitled to equal justice under the law and he says if they think
00:15:26.500there's a crime they're going to prosecute it we're going to take a look at it if we think that
00:15:30.740there's a crime we're going to prosecute that crime and that's something the department of
00:15:34.160justice is looking at right now and here she is denying she married her brother well if there's
00:15:38.980some if there's some marriage fraud can you just tell us straight up did you marry your brother0.95
00:15:42.440absolutely not what a ridiculous thing to ask well then why are you married your brother0.97
00:15:46.480absolutely not absolutely not that's disgusting and nobody should be doing that well if there's0.99
00:15:52.320Right. Nobody should be doing that, especially if you are going to do it for fraudulent immigration purposes.
00:16:04.300Now, in that same interview we have there, we'll wait to the end, the end of the clip, she calls Tom Homan a liar, basically, and denies the investigation.
00:16:13.500Hi, Congresswoman. Tom Homan said that you're under criminal investigation for immigration and marriage fraud. Any comment on that?
00:16:22.320No, I don't have a. Are you being criminally investigated? I am not. Yes, you are. I am not.
00:16:28.220Well, then Tom Homan's a liar or what? He is. He's been saying some like you.0.94
00:16:34.420Right. Tom Homan is a liar, she said. Looks like Ilana Marr is the liar in this one tonight,1.00
00:16:42.880denying there was an investigation when it was confirmed that there was an investigation.
00:16:46.460and interestingly Ilana Mar she deleted a tweet many years ago regarding her father
00:16:54.580and I want to put this tweet up right here and it was happy father's day to my abo Nur Syed I'm
00:17:04.680forever grateful to Allah for giving me the best father she deleted that post it disappeared in
00:17:12.8002019, the same morning people started talking about it, the Imam of Peace on Twitter actually
00:17:20.560pointed it out. And he said, Ilana Mars just deleted this tweet from 2013 that proves her
00:17:29.120father is Nur Sayed, which makes her Ilan Nur Sayed. And the surnames in Muslim countries,
00:17:36.620that's Ahmed Nur Sayed, who she married, is in fact her brother, he's saying there.
00:17:42.800And he said, again, your father's Nur Syed. So you're Ilan Nur Syed. You married Ahmed Nur Syed. The names, the nomenclature of the names are all the same. This is her father here. Right there as well. Kind of looks like her, her husband to brother husband, potentially.
00:18:03.980But the imam of peace, Ilana Mars, just deleted this tweet when he pointed it out that they shared the same names.
00:18:20.460Her office said Nur Syed was a nickname that means happy light.
00:18:26.800So you got the name her dad used, which is the same name her brother used, but they deny that was her father's name.
00:18:38.580The name of the man she married is the same name as her father, and the name in the Father's Day post that she later deleted after being called out on it, all sitting right next to each other.
00:18:50.040And those are probably the same papers and documents federal agents went to look at inside her house.
00:18:59.760Now, she says reports tied to a form that her father potentially filled out.
00:19:07.080Other outlets have gone further and have said that it's connected to the question of whether her father incorrectly or fraudulently filled out forms 20 years ago or so when she became a naturalized U.S. citizen.
00:19:20.040now some of it are tying the investigation they're dumbing it down watering it down these
00:19:25.640are just forms her father filled out decades ago he's dead now and it doesn't matter her dad was
00:19:31.180just not you know she says her father's a teacher trainer i think wikipedia says that too but there
00:19:36.420are reports out there that he was much more than a a teacher trainer uh much more than just some
00:19:41.640regular guy who trained people. And she says that he was a colonel in the Somali army under Syed
00:19:52.600Barr, the dictator who ran Somalia for years. And here's Ilhan Omar with her father. God,
00:19:59.480it looks just like her brother-husband to me. And the AP said, Syed Barr in Mogadishu, March
00:20:09.3601978, that her father, I'm going to get him confused, served in the Ogaden War against
00:20:16.220Ethiopia in 77 and 78. Let's roll that clip. That is clip number 14A. I'm going to roll that.
00:20:26.500It's right here. So this is Siad, Bari, and Mogadishu in 1978. And this is the military
00:20:33.940that Ilhan Omar's father allegedly served in during the Ogden War
00:25:01.620Our country should be more fearful of white man.0.91
00:25:07.480More fearful of white man, she said.0.98
00:25:12.160We started with bloodthirsty racists and now we're ending with fear of the white man.
00:25:18.740However, I will note, and it's important to note, that a federal judge had to sign off on a warrant to allow agents to physically get into her home and take evidence.
