00:01:10.700Tonight, we're going to talk about the White House and the press corps and the press pool.
00:01:15.200On Friday, three outlets lost their White House press pool privileges. They lost their privileges. They didn't lose a right.
00:01:23.680And we'll get into that. Nobody smashed the printing press. No one tried to spike a story.
00:01:27.680not to say that that doesn't happen because trying to spike stories and spiking stories goes on
00:01:31.680all the time in Washington, D.C. And I loathe the press, but we have freedom of the press.
00:01:40.420So and it's important to make the distinction between a right and a privilege. And that's
00:01:45.520what we're going to talk about tonight. Fox News went to bat for CNN, which I find interesting. But
00:01:51.180CNN went to bat for Fox News a couple of years ago when the Obama and Biden administration
00:01:56.540tried to target Fox News as well, saying they weren't a real news outlet, where we heard that
00:02:01.740from. But as someone who loathes the mainstream media, I'm going to defend CNN's right to be
00:02:08.540wrong, but I'm not going to defend their right to be in the building because that is a privilege
00:02:11.860that is not a right. And we'll get into the difference between the two. We're going to talk
00:02:16.380about Lindsey Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington. I can't get his name out of my mouth because
00:02:21.420he continues to, I believe, really push the boundaries of decency in this country. He's now
00:02:31.420trying to pull the lone black juror's phone records. He has targeted the only black juror,
00:02:40.400the only presumably Republican on the jury who happens to be black. They are out. They've already0.70
00:02:47.640doxed him. He's in hiding right now somewhere in the Northeast. And that juror is at an
00:02:53.220undisclosed location because he's been targeted for harassment, for doxing. They put his face
00:02:58.700on the internet. There'll be no jokes in that segment. And, you know, we'll get to that and
00:03:04.760prayers for that man. But one thing I want you to keep in mind tonight, I want you to keep this
00:03:10.280question in your pocket all night is what do you actually have a right to and what are you just
00:03:17.820what do you have a right to and what are you just what are you just used to um so on friday
00:03:26.320president trump announced he was going to ban cnn ms now and politico from the white house
00:03:34.580press pool. And the sated reason, he said, was because of negative news coverage. Now,
00:03:41.200I sympathize with President Trump on this. I don't think that's the right reason to ban them
00:03:45.780for negative news coverage. Three major news outlets have been banned from the White House,
00:03:50.460one day after President Trump said he was kicking out CNN, MSNOW, and Politico. On Saturday morning,
00:03:56.720journalists from all three news outlets tried to go to work at the White House complex.
00:04:00.620All three were denied entry. Their press passes were confiscated.
00:04:04.760And now lawyers for the news outlets are working on next steps.
00:04:08.620Legal action is expected in the coming.
00:04:11.240On Saturday, these reporters were turned away from the gate of the White House.
00:04:16.340And by Sunday night, White House guidance dropped CNN from Monday's TV pool slot.
00:04:21.860CNN was scheduled to cover the president's U.N. trip this week.
00:04:26.000And all five networks suspended their pool coverage.
00:04:28.920So Fox News jumped in and other networks jumped in, ABC, NBC, CBS. Everybody jumped in to suspend their pool coverage. They weren't going to give pool coverage to the president. There was no replacement pool. And Fox News jumped in. It was the D.C. bureau chief that chimed in as the acting acting chair of the TV pool.
00:04:46.240So they they decided to band together to defend CNN, MSNOW and Politico and what they believe is a right.
00:04:55.240And I believe it's a privilege. Courts have disagreed in the past.
00:05:01.060The three banned outlets are claiming this. This is a First Amendment right to protect our First Amendment rights and defend the principle that the government does not decide what the press reports or publishes.
00:05:14.080Well, the First Amendment guarantees the freedom of speech. It guarantees freedom of the press. It guarantees freedom of religion, assembly, and petition. That is the basis for the First Amendment. It doesn't give you the automatic right to have a badge to go into the White House.
00:05:30.820For whatever reason the president wants to ban these networks from the White House, I believe he has that right. I believe that other presidents have that right. So this is the position I will have now and going forward.
00:05:44.180And so if the precedent is we can ban news networks from the press pool and from the White House, I expect the next Democrat president to follow suit and, you know, share that precedent. Obama tried to do it in 2009, and that's when CNN stepped in to defend Fox News.
00:06:01.940But the First Amendment also protects people from government interference as well.
00:06:08.120So, you know, I'm going to argue, and if I were an attorney and I'd gone to law school and I were in a courtroom, in this case, I would argue on the merits of rights versus privileges and what that means.
00:06:19.560And so what the president has done, it doesn't limit CNN from never writing a story about him again.
00:06:24.860It doesn't limit their First Amendment right.
00:06:26.580It doesn't limit their freedom of the press.
00:06:29.880They are free to write whatever they want.
00:06:31.760They can send questions into the comms team at the White House.
00:06:59.200And there's really nothing you can do about it as a public figure because all these things are, quote, alleged.
00:07:04.240And we went into this last night. If you didn't see my segment on Lauren Boebert and the horrible allegations against her that I are vehemently false.
00:07:12.320She responded over the weekend and I responded last night. But that's just a few handful of examples that, you know, I get it.
00:07:21.380I mean, and it happens to both Republicans and Democrats alike. I think it happens to Republicans more frequently.
00:07:26.380There's been some data on that, particularly to President Trump, whether you like him or not.
00:07:31.240The deck is stacked against him in the mainstream press.
00:07:34.720He could say the sky is blue and they would say, oh, my gosh, the sky is purple.
00:07:38.320But he said it was blue. They would they go nuts.
00:10:23.860I mean, I care, but that's not a constitutional argument.
00:10:28.940And that's the way I would be looking at it right now.
00:10:30.880In 2009, Obama's Treasury tried to cut Fox News out of the press pool
00:10:36.000with interviews with Pazar, Ken Feinberg,
00:10:39.400and the other four networks refused to go in without Fox.
00:10:42.780So there is a precedent, and I respect it, that the press has banded together and supported one another so that they could be in the press pool.
00:10:49.840So then Fox got his seat back. Obama wasn't able to kick him out. He tried.

00:12:31.080In 2023, the Biden White House tightened the press pass rules.
00:12:38.240They went from credentials from 1,417 to 975.
00:12:43.660And guess what kind of media outlets took the brunt of those credentials being rebutted, being reversed.
00:12:52.620Those 440 passes namely went to conservative reporters.
00:12:56.920They took a heavy share of those over 400 press passes that were declined.
00:13:01.580Those credentials were declined in the Biden administration.
00:13:04.360So they didn't call it a First Amendment issue back then, but all of a sudden it is now when President Trump wants to limit the number of press in the press room at the White House.
00:13:14.500So a credential rule is what it was called, not an outlet ban, marketed under a different name.
00:13:20.400Um, this White House is the first White House in history who has selected, uh, pool, who's taken
00:13:28.460pool, press pool selection away from the Correspondents Association. I kind of say good
00:13:33.540for Trump on this. Um, finding more fair-minded media, more podcaster type of media, new media,
00:13:41.260um, they have a microphone and they are reporting more fairly. You can't get a fair shake as a
00:13:46.340conservative on mainstream media. It's very hard, unless you sympathize with one of their
00:13:50.500causes. That's the only time you get a fair shake. So it's the first administration to
00:13:56.040pick its own pool. And I say good for President Trump on that. CNN has spelled my name wrong
00:14:02.600twice while I've been live on air, and I still go on. I don't fault them for it.
00:14:08.900My take is a little bit different. I feel that even on leftist-leaning networks,

00:15:05.520what he stated in that tweet, that it was over negative coverage as opposed to constitutional
00:15:10.580rights versus privileges. So, but the roles and precedent will be set. Whatever this White House
00:15:16.160can do to CNN, the next White House can do to Fox News. So the precedent is being set and it runs
00:15:22.120in both directions. Now we're going to talk about the lone juror. On Monday, the filings were made
00:15:34.240public, the defense filings, Kevin Reddington, Lindsay Clancy's attorney, has requested the
00:15:41.600private phone records of the lone black Republican juror who refused to find Lindsay Clancy innocent
00:15:50.520of murder. They have now doxed him. They've named him. And I won't put his name up. I'm
00:15:56.360going to show his photo of this beautiful newborn baby that he gave to the media outlets.
00:16:00.620but they want his phone and text records um every day of the day of deliberation now they're not
00:16:07.840asking for the other jurors who allegedly pressured some of the last few holdouts he's
00:16:15.680not asking for those jurors text messages private text messages and phone communications just the
00:16:21.040black one just the black man because he wouldn't go along to get along holdout juror in the lindsey
00:16:27.860Clancy murder trial is speaking out this morning for the first time since the mistrial. He says0.89
00:16:32.000his views were misrepresented by his fellow jurors. In a statement, the juror said, I didn't
00:16:38.600have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept
00:16:43.080getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence presented. Based on all the physical
00:16:48.260evidence, key witnesses and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she
00:16:52.960knew exactly what she was doing and planned. This, to me, sets a very frightening and terrifying
00:16:59.580judicial precedent. This juror, you know, one juror says he was scrolling through videos,
00:17:09.460doesn't mention if they were on a break or eating lunch or whatever. So basically what
00:17:13.800Reddington, basically what I believe Reddington is trying to do is get the trial dismissed on
00:17:18.880double jeopardy. He wants to get the whole case dismissed. He's going to try to find some way
00:17:24.620that this juror did something wrong and ignore the improper behavior of the other jurors.
00:17:30.540The lone juror, lone black juror said the other jurors were more like activists. The majority of
00:17:35.480them were more like activists than jurors and were operating that way. So there's going to be no
00:17:39.900obviously discussion, debate or research or pleadings about the activist jurors, just the
00:17:48.880man. That's it. And I've told y'all, I think that the left, these white privileged leftists

00:18:07.020who's Lindsay Clancy's attorney, got in on smashing the lone juror online. A newspaper

00:18:19.580He heard. He felt that she was guilty and felt that at the time she was not, or I should say not guilty for a reason of insanity.
00:18:30.940He felt that she was sane when she did it. And that's exactly what he told me.
00:18:35.580Okay, what about the reasonable doubt part? Did he did he mention to you? Because that's what they say.
00:18:41.520He and his wife left their home for an undisclosed location in New England. This is crazy. And it's terrifying to me that this passes for a court system is like a kangaroo court.
00:18:55.580I'm not going to say his name. The Democrats on the left have doxed this guy. I'm going to show his photo. Through his lawyer, he said that his client, the lone black juror, had no doubts. And other jurors have gone on television against him, outing him and making statements about him.
00:19:14.740Mere strangers have raised over $350,000 for him and his wife.
00:19:19.360And a jury vote now comes down to a manhunt and a fundraiser.
00:19:23.420And I just, you know, to me that this is setting a very dangerous precedent that as a juror,

And now Democrats are figuratively lynching the only black juror on the Lindsey Clancy case. That's what this is. This is a modern day lynching of this guy.
00:20:05.800I don't know if he's had to quit his job. I don't know how anybody can afford to go through what he's going through right now. How do you do that? $350,000 is not enough for this guy. And, you know, his vote to me, his vote was right. Contrary to Lindsay Clancy's attorney, I did follow along with the case as I could. And although I wasn't in the courtroom, neither were Patrick Clancy's kids. They'll never be in that courtroom. They'll never get the last word like you will, Kevin Reddington, on behalf of your client.
00:20:35.560So last night, jury duty is the one job that the government can compel you to do.
00:20:51.900And if answering honestly in a jury trial ends with a man hiding, going into hiding out of his own state, the next holdout folds on day one.
