Hi TikTok. Let's talk about the Iranian Revolution. This is part 5 of my series where I talk about
00:00:05.320
the events leading up to the current Iranian Revolution. If you haven't seen part 4, please
00:00:09.380
go check it out. The link is in my description below and then come back and finish watching
00:00:12.760
this video. In 1908, when he was only 14 years old, Reza Khan Pahlavi joined the Iranian
00:00:18.700
Kossack Brigade and by 1921, he became the leader. Now keep in mind, up until 1921, the
00:00:25.460
Iranian Cossack Brigade, which was the most important and influential and powerful military
00:00:30.260
force in Iran, had never been actually controlled or led by an Iranian. So the fact that an Iranian
00:00:36.880
was finally running the Iranian Cossack Brigade was actually kind of a big deal. Now the reason
0.99
00:00:41.680
the British appointed Reza Khan as the leader is because they wanted to make sure that the
00:00:46.380
Russian imperialists and their communist supporters in Iran would not gain control of the capital.
00:00:50.940
And in February of 1921, Reza Khan led the entire Iranian Cossack Brigade to the capital,
00:00:57.620
seize the capital to make sure that the communist threat would not take over.
0.87
00:01:01.000
Reza Khan was the Russians' worst nightmare.
0.89
00:01:03.880
Because not only did Reza Khan seize the capital, but he forced the entire dissolution of the
0.95
00:01:08.140
Iranian parliament and, even though he had enough military control to take over, he instead
00:01:13.400
chose to install Tabatabai as the new Prime Minister of Iran.
00:01:17.820
Rizal Khan also installed himself as Iran's first minister of war and let's be honest that's kind of cool
00:01:23.660
I mean, we don't have any ministers of war today, but I don't know
00:01:28.080
It's kind of cool and Rizal Khan was so good at his job that by 1925
00:01:33.060
Only four years later the Iranian assembly got rid of Ahmad Shah Rajar and instead appointed Rizal Pahlavi as the Shah of Iran
00:01:41.660
And so, in 1925, the Pahlavi dynasty was legally installed by the democratically elected parliament of Iran in Iran.
00:01:50.900
Now, it's not surprising that if you look him up on Wikipedia, you'll find that his reign was apparently controversial.
00:01:57.300
But as you all know by now, every single thing when it comes to Iranian politics has been controversial since the 1850s.
00:02:05.200
And more importantly, let's talk about why the people of Iran are constantly chanting, even to this day, literally risking their lives by chanting in public, Rizah Shah Ruhetshahd.
00:02:27.860
As I've explained in earlier videos, over 50% of Iranians come from an ethnic minority.
00:02:41.500
But up until 1979, when the terrorist Islamic regime took over,
00:02:49.880
Iranians celebrated their ethnic and religious diversity.
00:02:53.140
And a lot of the hatred and division that you see about or hear about today
0.91
00:02:57.080
is because the terrorist and illegitimate Islamic regime in Iran
0.94
00:03:00.440
has been trying to sow division amongst the people of Iran
00:03:03.600
because they know that if they conquer and divide, the people of Iran will not unite.
00:03:08.300
And because the biggest fear that those terrorist Islamic regime mullahs have
00:03:15.440
uniting and supporting each other to get rid of the Islamic regime in Iran.
