00:29:41.620there are so many that have betrayed you there are so many that have turned their backs on you
00:29:50.980But I am not one of them. I am not one of those Americans. I am here for free and run until the end.
00:30:03.980end so these days are very dark and they're very hard and i know you feel so alone
00:30:18.140and i know you feel so betrayed but there are those of us who see you and we will never forget
00:30:28.580your sacrifice we will never forget the blood that was shed we will never forget who stood
00:30:37.320with you and we will never forget who stood against you and i just want to let you know that
00:30:49.080i'm that there are those of us that see you and we say we want regime change in iran
00:30:55.040We're on the same page yesterday, and we know, and there are Americans like me, I'm not Iranian, but I know that you have one representative, and he is the Honorable King Rezalpacluby.
00:31:11.040so while there are many who do not understand why you say his name with such love and respect
00:31:33.680In fact, I know why you honor King Reza Kaplan the way that you do, and I understand why you want him as your leader, I want him as my leader.
00:42:55.660so this shows the demonstrations and rallies from from last week the reason I want to share this is
00:43:02.640because the the main message the main message that every single one of us who are outside of Iran
00:43:09.940that we have received and the main the the you know the most common question like every single
00:43:17.320Iranian has asked this question they've said you know when we were silenced when when the Islamic
00:43:22.960regime shut down the internet and they cut off our voices from the rest of the world you know
00:43:28.840were you there for us those of you who were outside did you speak up for us were you our voice
00:43:35.940that's the one question that all of us have received and the answer is yes we were we were
00:43:43.140your voice so this is footage from last week and then we're going to show footage from today
00:43:49.520But this is why you're seeing Iranians outside the world, I'm sorry, outside of Iran, all around the world, rallying and demonstrating because because Iranians in occupied Iran were not able to do so.
00:44:02.580And they were they were relying on us to be their voice.
01:18:08.200I would have been steadfast throughout.
01:18:10.640I would have made it very clear down through the bureaucracy that there was to be absolutely no contact with those that were trying to overthrow him.
01:18:20.300I would have had a very good study made of Kemeny's background and would have found that exactly what kind of person it was,
01:18:28.820because by studying his background, they could have known that he was going to do exactly what he's going to do.
01:19:38.580So, when President Carter was asked about the hostage situation, he went overboard in
01:19:45.020saying that our first and then only concern was the safety of the hostages.
01:19:49.960Now, that is a concern, but our major concern is what happens to Iran, what happens to the
01:19:55.940relations between the United States and Iran.
01:19:58.640And in this respect, I would never have said, as President Carter did, that I rule out the
01:20:03.760use of force in order to get the hostages back.
01:20:07.240And all that did was to encourage those that had captured them and were holding them in captivity not to give them up.
01:20:16.500I remember President Eisenhower, during our administration and the vice presidential days,
01:20:23.500used to say on occasion that he had learned as a military commander that it's very important never to tell your enemy what you're going to do,
01:20:33.300But he says it's just important never to tell him what you're not going to do.
01:20:37.240Because then that will encourage him to do things he otherwise might not do.
01:20:41.220And in this case, that was a mistake, in my view, to do that.
01:20:44.320The other thing I would say is that with regard to the hostage rescue operation,
01:20:51.980that President Carter and the Pentagon, I assume they are the ones that joined in the decision,
01:20:58.280made a mistake and are not, again, following out an Eisenhower dictum.
01:21:02.700And that dictum is that when you make a play of that sort,
01:21:06.420You always assume the worst, and you cannot assume that your intelligence is going to be absolutely accurate.
01:21:16.040I have a very interesting reaction in that respect that Eisenhower had at the time of Lebanon in 1958.
01:21:24.880As everybody will recall, in 1958 in Lebanon, there was a crisis because the government there was under attack.
01:21:33.860There was a possibility the Soviet Union might intervene, and Eisenhower had to make a decision as to whether or not to send Marines in, in order to establish peace.
01:21:45.300And I remember the briefing that occurred in the Oval Office, and Eisenhower heard Alan Dulles, the head of the CIA, and Foster Dulles, the Secretary of State, brief him and to recommend that we send in a Marine group in order to keep order.
01:27:28.620And I think the major reason I went, though, I must say, was because I was concerned that our own government, again, I suppose, because of the hostage situation, was not going to be represented at the funeral by a high-level person.
01:27:48.700Were you concerned that your going might embarrass President Carter?
01:27:52.640As a matter of fact, it occurred to me that President Carter probably deep down wish he could have gone, but he couldn't.
01:28:02.340He didn't feel that he could because of the hostage situation.
01:28:05.460No, I went because the Shah was my friend.
01:28:08.500He was a friend of the United States, and I thought that some high-level individual from the United States ought to be there.
01:28:14.020You see, the important thing that we've got to get across to the people in countries that are wavering between standing with us or going in the other direction or remaining neutral is that the United States is not a fair-weather friend, that we will stand by our friends and allies when they are down as well as when they are up.
01:28:41.080Now, that may not make good diplomacy, but I think in the short run, but in the long
01:28:46.620term, I think it's absolutely essential if we're going to build the kind of support and
01:28:51.760respect and confidence in the United States that we need to have.
01:29:01.440Mr. Nixon, America has been criticized for abandoning friends like the Shah, whom you
01:29:07.120strongly supported, and you've criticized our abandoning him.
01:29:09.640But isn't the danger just as great in sticking with regimes that have lost the support of
01:29:14.920their people, like the Shah, like Somoza, like Ian Smith?
01:29:19.260Again and again, it's said that we back despots and dictators.
01:40:42.260We're here today to be a voice for the Iranian people, and we will be silent.
01:40:47.880And look, you can see, even in Japan, they have the American flag, right?
01:40:54.640And then he's saying, he's saying, we are here because after 47 years, we've gone from death to the Shah to long live the Shah.
01:41:03.440Because during the 1979 Islamic coup d'etat, all the Islamists and communists were chanting Magba Shah, which honestly, like, even though I'm translating it for you, just saying it like makes me like, it's like blasphemy. Right. But anyways, that's what they were chanting.
01:41:19.920So what he's saying is that we're here to to show the world that, you know, from from 47 years ago when people were chanting for the death of the Shah, we're now chanting long live the Shah.
01:41:32.540We're chanting Javid Shah. That's how far we have come.
01:41:35.680And we're not we're not stopping until we reclaim Iran and our Shah returns.
01:41:44.760We hear they're saying human rights for Iran.
01:41:46.560can i just say uh the japanese iranians very very polite uh you can tell like they're they're you
01:41:53.600know kind of like in a line right because the the the social norms in japan are a little different
01:41:58.560right so i'm very very grateful to see oh you can see some japanese flags there too but uh
01:42:04.080it's if for those of you who are wondering why like the the pro-iran uh demonstration in um in
01:42:11.280japan is you know a little bit more subdued it's because of the you know um culture japanese
01:42:19.360culture right they have assimilated they have assimilated well of course and you know japanese
01:42:25.200culture people are very polite so it's actually considered you know very very rude to like you
01:42:30.720know do something like this so i'm just very grateful that uh the japanese people are are
01:42:37.200um respecting this and japanese people understand and this is the part that you're gonna like
02:04:44.000So let me know whenever you want to do that.
02:04:45.540so why don't we do that now why don't we do that now and then we can go back to to the
02:04:49.220demonstrations after because if there's audio messages from iran that's pretty important
02:04:53.940okay and these are uh these were sent specifically for this show oh wow
02:05:00.980yeah so this is this hasn't been played anywhere else
02:05:07.140so let me go through these and i actually haven't listened to them yet
02:05:10.660so let's go through let me unmute my screen
02:05:40.660so she's saying that if she doesn't care if if they bomb if she dies in the bombardment that is
02:05:55.140about to come it doesn't matter if she's saying it doesn't matter if we all die just make sure
02:06:00.420that there's no mullahs left so she's saying she's done she doesn't care if she lives or0.84
02:06:05.860she lives or doesn't live basically she's saying come and destroy everything if you have to0.96
02:06:11.140as long as for the future gen as long as you basically wipe this country clean from mullahs0.95
02:06:17.620just come and do whatever you need to do um just like even if we die is fine as long as
02:06:23.300the next generation is not left with mullahs anymore that's what she's saying so next one
02:06:35.860so she's saying that so we are some some of them in iran they're only now getting connected to the
02:06:43.860to instagram and to the internet and they're only now seeing how devastating the the tragedy was
02:06:56.020so she's saying one of my friends friends was murdered killed
02:06:59.620Like everybody, we're not doing well. Nobody here is doing well. We are basically, we're done. Basically, we're done with everything. She's very angry. Right? She's like, we don't have any more patience anymore. We have no patience for this anymore. And we have no, yeah.
02:07:29.620she's saying that everybody everybody is just waiting for trump to strike strike them and that
02:07:44.740these goldie can i swear or no today these mofos okay moffin let's do mofos because0.78
02:07:51.060so and these mofos um are just effed up so she's basically saying that everybody in iran0.90
02:07:58.820is now waiting for uh for trump to just strike the mullahs and f them all up that's everybody0.92
02:08:04.820is waiting for that so let me do the third message so she's saying my friend was my friend
02:08:23.940was at the graveyard this morning behesh zahra graveyard guys there's another name for a graveyard
02:08:29.860that is more accurate let me know what that it doesn't i don't know which one i forgot
02:08:38.420so you're saying my friend was at the graveyard she's saying it's like the end of times
02:08:44.260it's like at the graveyard where there people are burying their cemetery yes thank you at
02:08:49.540the cemetery the beach that her cemetery in tehran coast of tehran she's saying like it's
02:08:54.580so chaotic right now there with the bodies and everything that is like the end of time
02:09:01.060yeah people are still looking for their children
02:09:03.060so she's saying that anybody who doesn't find their child like their kid like their children
02:09:21.620who have been murdered they're just going to from all those dead bodies they're just going to
02:09:26.980uh create a gurudas jami like a public like oh what is it i had that word where does it
02:09:37.780call when you just bury the bodies together so they're just going to bury in a public grave
02:09:44.660they're just going to bury them together with the people who haven't been claimed so basically a mass
02:09:49.860grave yes thank you so they have mass graves for the people who haven't been you know claimed
02:09:56.740that's why people are really really trying to find their kids or their loved ones really really fast
02:10:03.540because if they don't claim them then they're going to lose them in a public burial ground
02:10:09.460so imagine if you're a mother and your your son has been murdered by the regime and now you're
02:10:15.300desperate among all that crowd you're trying to find the body of your son because if you don't
02:10:20.820hurry up uh in that chaos then you're going to you're never you might never get the body of your
02:10:27.220son ever again because he was buried among in a mass grave along with everyone else and you're
02:10:32.180going to feel ashamed that you you weren't fast enough to claim the body of your son and now
02:10:38.900you're never going to and now you're never going to be able to find the body because it's been just
02:10:43.540mixed with a whole bunch of other bodies
02:10:55.540oh with with their clothes she's saying these these people are filth so they're just like
02:11:01.460they're they're not doing any of the rituals or ceremonies they just like dump the bodies
02:11:07.460in the mass grave with the with the clothes that they were wearing you could hear the anger in her
02:11:15.060voice um the anger like guys this anger it represents a lot of other iranian people's
02:11:22.900anger i have some other audio messages that was a retelling of the stories that sarah sarah
02:11:30.100um our admin here heard so let me um while we're waiting for goldie let me play those
02:11:37.460so she's saying there's so many videos coming out where all the body bags have been dumped
02:11:52.580over each other and the families have to go through the body bags like they guys sometimes
02:11:58.980they don't they're not even individually laid on the ground they're on top of each other
02:12:04.020so some of the family members wanting to go through the body bags like they're under other
02:12:08.740body bags so it's like really hard to find the but you have to unzip the body bag you have to
02:12:14.340look at the faces of so many dead bodies to see which one is your loved one because a lot of them
02:12:19.220haven't been labeled with names she she's saying that the the videos are so horrific that she
02:12:30.420doesn't have she can't watch them herself so she's saying there something you need to tell
02:12:53.380non-iranian because i think this is going to affect them a lot because this has been something
02:12:57.220that has been reported by multiple media sources so there was a father looking for
02:13:16.260her the the body of his child in the middle of the body bags and then what happened
02:13:29.620and then he saw among the body bags one of the one of them were among the corpses one
02:13:34.340of them was alive and the guy the person was like um basically
02:13:44.180uh he was he was making sounds because of his wounds like he was moaning yeah
02:14:05.700so he she says that you must have heard that they ask for a lot of money before they hand over the
02:14:11.540bodies so when the father saw that this is a living body that is was making sounds in the
02:14:23.700middle of all the corpses so he said so the father saw lied to the official said that this is my son
02:14:34.900so that he could save him so he basically gave up he basically gave up um on receiving the body
02:14:50.580of his own son to be able to save this person so he was looking for the body of his own son and
02:14:56.260while he was looking he saw that there was a there was a one of the bodies were was alive and
02:15:02.500And so he told the officials there, lied to them, that said, this is my son.
02:15:07.000And he paid them a lot of money to be able to take him home so that he could save that person.
02:15:16.140And he basically gave, by doing that, he basically gave up on taking home the body of his own son.
02:55:10.400Yeah, we've made the point, I think, and we should share those, but we've definitely made the point. But, you know, I have a feeling that President Trump is waiting for the right time to strike, right? Because there's only going to be one chance and it has to be done properly.
02:55:24.640So, you know, as difficult as it is, I think we all just have to be a little bit more patient and have faith in President Trump, have faith in Israel and also have faith in King Reza Pahlavi.
02:55:37.620So because I'm sure there's like a lot of things happening behind the scenes militarily or intelligence wise that we don't we don't know about.
02:55:46.320So I know it's difficult for all of us, but it's also good to share, Armin, because like you said, this will go against the narrative that the lefties and Islamists and communists want to say that, oh, no, we don't want military intervention, right?
02:56:01.620So Iranians are making it very clear that they are welcoming, they will welcome any sort of intervention from the United States.
02:56:09.220So it is important to share, to provide that context.
02:56:13.460So, um, yeah, no, thank you for that. So someone, someone actually asked about conduit is conduit
02:56:20.240helping 100% it is helping. So actually, um, I have, I have an update for you about conduit from
02:56:27.540potip toe. Um, so he wanted me to share this, this, uh, graph here. So he sent this to me,
02:56:36.380um, a day after we spoke about conduit. And then I also have, um, I also have a voice message
02:56:43.180what is it this this this i'll explain so he has a voice message that explains this
02:56:50.860so let me just share let me just play his voice is that a meme coin is it hopefully no no no
02:56:58.540this is something to do with conduit and the servers just bizarre let me play in the plane
02:57:07.980oh oh you know what armin oh i forgot i don't think you were here when we spoke about conduit
02:57:12.380oh okay maybe that's why that's why i'm confused that's why i'm confused so sorry i'm so sorry i
02:57:17.820can't keep track of what you're here so so conduit conduit is is an app it's like something that you
02:57:24.220can install on your laptop or your phone and it it gives people in iran uh access to internet somehow
02:57:33.260okay okay just be careful everybody has to do their own research because some of
02:57:37.660nothing is 100 secure so everybody and some of these we have we don't know where the servers are
02:57:43.660we spoke about all this conduit is secure uh we went over all of that before but i just wanted
02:57:49.100to share this so uh so this is a voice message from potipto let me just play it and then that'll
02:57:55.020explain this this graph here. So he's saying this is the graph from the the siphon servers
02:58:12.140and then he's saying that after we spoke about siphon or after we spoke about uh conduit on
02:58:19.100on your show uh the numbers immediately spiked up and it actually broke the the the historical
02:58:26.460record here um so it went it went above 200 000 and he says that's because
02:58:32.620he thinks that's because uh you know of people on the show who all installed conduit
02:58:37.340so he he says i wanted to thank you and i i want to thank all of the viewers um in the live stream
02:58:54.220who took the time to to download conduit onto their um laptops because
02:58:59.740that's really helping iranians get access to the internet
02:59:02.540okay so that that's basically it um and so what is conduit so so that's the message so um so going
02:59:14.780back to uh brenda your question 100 as you can tell it's helping because after the show immediately
02:59:23.180the servers uh went up and that is helping more iranians become uh connected to to to the internet
02:59:32.220And so for those of you who are familiar with conduit, I wish Pachito was here to explain this again because he does it much better. But so conduit, it's basically just like. So support people around the world by turning your phone into an Internet freedom gateway by running a conduit station, you immediately help people in censored countries access the free and open Internet around the world.
02:59:59.260simply start conduit and your phone connects people directly to the siphon network whether
03:00:05.820you're using an old phone or your everyday device you'll be making a crucial difference one
03:00:10.880connection at a time so um like i i have been here let me download this so i can show you guys
03:00:17.680well i have like an updated one but so i i've had it running and uh i've had it running and so it's
03:00:24.600been it's been helping people as well um so there you go it's uh but you know guys do your own
03:00:29.880research on this but this is you know generally like for for people who have um where to get it
03:00:36.920let me i'll i'll add the link i'll add the the link um in in the live stream chat guys again
03:00:45.280like do your own you know do your own research do your own research you know due diligence we're
03:00:50.260we're just here to share information. We're not endorsing anything. But you know, if you have like
03:00:56.120internet, and it's unlimited, and you want to help people in occupied Iran, this is one of the ways
03:01:01.560to do it. But I mean, if you have limited data, then obviously don't do this if you have limited
03:01:05.740data. But if you have unlimited internet, or whatever the case might be, and you want to help
03:01:11.740out, this is one of the ways you can you can do it. So and and to answer your question, yes,
03:01:17.880it is making a huge difference. Um, it's broken, it's broken, uh, the, the, the server record,
03:01:24.600whatever that means. And, uh, it's, it's enabling a lot more Iranians to get access to internet.
03:01:30.180So there we go. That's, that's the update on conduit. I can't, I can't answer the techie
03:01:38.380questions. Um, if Potipto decides to join, um, you know, maybe we can ask him some of those
03:01:44.840questions but we went over this a few days ago and he answered um all the questions about about
03:01:50.440that stuff so there's there's the update from conduit because one of our um
03:01:59.240yeah conduit app and connect is free conduit is secure yes yeah that's what he said to conduit is
03:02:09.080secure uh uses bison and its open source software yeah so from from our end it's 100 secure so you
03:02:17.080know i've i've been running it um as well and uh it's just been like ever since ever since potito
03:02:23.880told me about it um i've been running it um non-stop on my laptop so there you go there you
03:02:31.960go um that's the conduit update and that is making a difference because that apparently is is um
03:02:38.200allowing iranians to connect to the internet but i mean so they have to do something on their end
03:02:43.960they have to download something on their end so there you go um okay now armin did you have
03:02:52.680more videos that you wanted to share there are two videos that i cannot show on stream
03:02:58.200oh my gosh okay why can't you show it on screen because they're literally shoving something in
03:03:11.580something besiegi oh literally no i can't it's like i will get nuked off of like that would be
03:03:21.940end of our channel oh my gosh okay let me see okay let me that upload two for you let me upload
03:03:29.380this one so you maybe you could describe it to people it's uploading now and i'm downloading this
03:03:41.540did you know okay you didn't digam but it's the first time
03:03:44.500a for effort did you see that one yeah i am um yeah i saw them okay
03:04:02.820so it's it's uh it's it's videos of um videos of uh iranians going after the nazis the the nazis
03:07:42.760yeah that's true the fact that they let him leave and said we're not like you yeah because
03:07:57.120we iranians we're not we're not murderers right there you go um well we'll see about
03:08:04.460the second wave because i think anything that happens in the second wave is justified based
03:08:08.940on what they did to us the second guy is a nazi guys we know we know who they are there you go
03:08:20.540what's what's the girth no idea yeah the walk of shame the walk of shame
03:08:27.420the stick of justice there you go all right
03:08:34.460There you go. So guys, you know what? So this is what I mean when I say like, you know, yes, yes, it's really terrible what's happening in terms of the mass slaughter of Iranians.
03:08:44.580But as you can tell, the only thing that this has done is the more they murder us, the more angry Iranians get, right?
03:08:53.900The more angry we get. And as you can tell, Iranians, we're not giving up. We're fighting back. We're fighting back.
03:09:00.820So there you go. There's some Muslim Nazi hunting videos for you guys.0.98
03:09:12.460That's probably just a taste of what's to come for these murderers, right?0.93
03:09:18.460Oh, I like some of the comments under my expo. Someone's like, bah, bah.
03:21:30.720She says, but me, I no longer fear the Islamic regime anymore.
03:21:39.920She's like for, for my mother, for all my dear friends.
03:21:43.160And then she's like for Iran, and then she's saying job each job each.
03:21:55.740So, guys, one of the ways that the Islamic regime has kept Iranians under control and suppression, not just in occupied Iran, but outside, is they will, those of us who are outside, who speak out, they actually threaten our family members who are in Iran.
03:22:16.520They will throw our family members in jail for, you know, for those of us who speak out outside.
03:22:32.480Like literally I haven't spoken with them.
03:22:34.960Um, I don't have their phone numbers on my phone.
03:22:37.400I don't communicate with them in any way, shape or form.
03:22:40.860Um, like I haven't spoken to my, I haven't spoken to my grandmother in years because,
03:22:44.720um, I've just, I've just cut, I've cut connection, cut contact with all of them.
03:22:50.160um because you know i i speak out against the islamic regime so that's why like i personally
03:22:56.160just i haven't spoken to anyone um because i just don't want to risk their lives right
03:23:02.060and we've we've always lived in fear that's always that's been you know just one of the um
03:23:07.920untold realities of of iranians like we've always we've always just lived in fear even those of us
03:23:14.840are outside still living in fear but as you can see these these brave young Iranian women
03:23:21.160um they're not afraid anymore and she's saying I'm not afraid my mother's in Iran
03:23:25.640my entire family is in Iran but we're not afraid and we're coming after you and then they say long
03:23:30.360but the king so there you go there you go um so there's that video and let's go to
03:23:44.920good for them so brave so brave i want to burn my passport too
03:23:51.400okay oh i think i'm gonna keep my i'm gonna keep mine to put them side by side before and after
03:23:58.680okay oh wow okay so this is this isn't so this is from um january
03:24:11.400noon's that day what's that january eight or nine maybe
03:24:16.600i think i think this is from january nine in yes night yeah just reduce it by 10. yeah so this
03:24:23.880guys this video is from january 9 in occupied iran but the video just came out today um because
03:24:31.640of the internet shut down right so guys even when the internet was shut down iranians were were
03:24:37.880fighting right and so look they they actually have this homemade lion and sun crown flag right so
03:24:44.920that's the flag that's above my head so these are iranians in occupied iran
03:24:48.600They're chanting, this is a final battle, Pahlavi will return.
03:25:18.580So Iranians in occupied Iran are chanting King Rizal Pahlavi in English.
03:25:26.600They're chanting King Rizal Pahlavi in English because they want the world to know that they only trust and support King Rizal Pahlavi to lead them through the transition.
03:25:40.400But you'll never see this in the mainstream media.
03:25:43.880Meanwhile, we have all these like lefties in the mainstream media, all these like lefty journalists, and they're like, well, what gives you the authority to lead the revolution?
03:25:53.880This, this video right here, this video gives King Rizal Pahlavi the authority.
03:25:59.500Like, Iranians in occupied Iran are chanting in English.
03:26:02.040Like, how much more clear can that be?
03:26:13.880that's huge i need to i need to like share this
03:42:57.000or is this cbs miami let's just let's just do this one let's see what this one is set to impact
03:43:02.500millions of americans from the south on up to the east coast cbs news miami's brian abel has more on
03:43:08.440how officials are bracing for the worst a potentially historic worst in years winter
03:43:14.940storm could bring damaging heavy snow and ice to more than half of the united states this weekend
03:43:20.520the main actions to take now are to prepare your family prepare your home and prepare your car at
03:43:25.720least 182 million people in 45 states are under alert with more expected as a storm's footprint
03:43:32.440will stretch 300 miles from texas to the northeast record break wait did he say 45 states what
03:43:41.640and don't worry don't worry i'll i'll play the canadian version after
03:43:47.160or expected as the storm's footprint will stretch more than 1500 miles from texas to the northeast
03:43:53.800record breaking cold with dangerous expected wind chills as low as negative 50 in some spots
03:44:00.040starting to creep into the upper midwest and northern plains thursday with the system
03:44:04.520spreading across the eastern u.s in the coming days new york city may get hit with the most
03:44:10.040snow it's seen in four years some in the great lakes anticipating more treacherous conditions
03:44:16.120like the ones that created this 100 plus car pile up in west michigan this week in the south
03:44:22.680Road and airport concerns have crews working now.
03:44:25.760We don't get a lot of opportunities to engage in a snow event,
03:44:29.480and so we're doing a lot of preparation.
03:44:32.100And Texas officials confident the deep freeze won't wreak havoc on the power grid
03:44:37.040like what the state saw in 2021 when millions were in the dark.
03:44:41.200The ERCOT grid has never been stronger, never been more prepared,
03:44:45.880and is fully capable of handling this winter storm.
03:44:49.180In Washington, Brian Abel, CBS News, Miami.
03:44:52.680Wow. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Okay. Let me, let me see if I can find something for Canada.
03:45:08.600Let's see. There must be something in the news. Let me see what I can find here.
03:45:17.520All right. Give me a moment. Don't worry. I'm also keeping an eye on 2C.
03:45:22.680Wait. Canada. Winter. This is crazy. See, this is why there's nothing. This is why there's
03:45:34.780no Iran demonstration happening in Toronto, right? Because, yeah. Wow. Okay, I want a
03:45:46.740video. I don't want, like, Canadian media, get your act together here. Is there any videos?
03:45:58.260Video. Oh, okay. Here we go. Oh, wow. All right. Much of GTHA are being hit hard. All right.
03:46:06.420All right. It's here. Toronto and much of GTHA are being hit hard by a major snowfall. Right
03:46:14.440now as much as 40 centimeters of snow. That's what it looks like. Yeah, yeah, that's, uh, yeah, that's, that's, that's literally what it looks like right now. This is what it looks like. Island camera. If you want to do a time lapse, what it looked like at 7 a.m. It was somewhat clear. And now it's a complete whiteout environment. Canada has issued an orange warning for the GTA and much of southern Ontario. Meaning this storm could bring significant long lasting impacts. Wind gusts up to 50 kilometers.
03:46:44.440an hour. It's making it tough to see, as you can tell on the roads. And it's also making it feel
03:46:50.520really cold, feeling like minus 21. I was out there quickly. And yeah, after a couple of minutes,
03:46:55.380it starts numbing out a little bit. Officials are asking people to drive with caution. Luckily,
03:47:00.500the roads are somewhat empty. People are staying home. So we haven't seen any huge crashes,
03:47:07.720anything significant. But allow yourself extra time for travel. And if possible, stay at home.
03:47:13.140a lot of football on just do that and joining us now is environment canada senior climatologist
03:47:19.240dave phillips thanks joining us here uh live on cp24 how do you deal uh with uh snow events like
03:47:24.620this are you in ontario or are you are you talking to us from like you know miami or
03:47:28.640i wish i were but hey i'm i'm in barry ontario so we've been having uh uh the lake where i sit
03:47:37.160on is frozen over and i see some ice fissures out there but yeah a lot of blowing and drifting
03:47:42.380snow we've already had a year's worth of snow in in barry and we typically get uh about 150 centimeters
03:47:50.140more snow per year than toronto so a short distance away but we get a lot more because
03:47:55.260of the lake effect and what's interesting phil is the lake effect is going to hammer you um i think
03:48:01.100we're talking about 20 to 40 centimeters of snow you see areas away from lake ontario and they
03:48:06.540could get maybe 15 to 20 centimeters of snow like kitchener or new market places like that
03:48:12.220but when you're near lake ontario this enhancement of the lake just think about it there's a 400
03:48:19.740kilometer fetch or distance over that open lake lake ontario has only frozen over twice in 100
03:48:25.820years and that was for just a few minutes so the lake is wide open it's cold but that air coming
03:48:31.660across it from places like oswego or syracuse and right across the lake ontario picking up the energy
03:48:39.580and moisture and then slamming into toronto it's going to bring that another say 20 10 to 20
03:48:47.500centimeters of snow so 10 to 20 from the storm in the united states plus our own locally produced
03:48:53.820snow is going to be one of the snowiest moments of the entire can i just say i just i find it like
03:49:00.540Like I'm reading your comments and I find it absolutely hilarious that you're taking like these Persian words that you've learned.
03:49:06.100And you're like, you're applying it to like the storm now, like the yach storm or like magbar storm.
03:49:14.520You guys are very, very creative. Very creative.
03:50:25.060But to get all of them in one kind of wrap-up in a ball of misery is rare.
03:50:31.760And also, Phil, very rare for Toronto to lead the province in terms of the heaviest amount of snow from a storm that's affecting most of the province.
03:50:42.400And that's because of that lake effect.
03:50:45.240When those winds start moving more from the northeast, well, then you're going to see the snow piling up.
03:50:50.220It's sort of at the western end of Lake Ontario, places like Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton Mountain.
03:50:55.600But, boy, with an east-south-east winds now, they're just coming directly into the GTA.
