00:00:00.000 I don't know about the whole process of getting back in,
00:00:03.000 if that's what they're trying to do.
00:00:04.860 There's a lot of emergency vehicles
00:00:08.400 converging on Capitol Hill.
00:00:10.060 I will tell you that we have talked to some
00:00:14.540 of the security that was with some of the cabinet secretaries
00:00:18.380 and they said that there was a shooter
00:00:22.000 that tried to get through the magnetometer.
00:00:24.120 He was armed and that the shots were towards him
00:00:29.120 him from secret service don't know if he got shots off but he was charging the magnetometer
00:00:35.360 according to uh one set of security with the cabinet secretary we're inside i'm trying to
00:00:41.280 keep this thing so they you know rushed to get all of the obviously the president the vice
00:00:47.360 president we've been talking about were gone off the stage literally in seconds uh and then
00:00:53.360 the room filled with armed super service members and you probably saw that on camera
00:01:02.080 and in that moment they're trying to get each individual cabinet secretary out with their own
00:01:09.520 Trump's okay. President Trump is okay. That's what I've heard. President Trump is okay.
00:01:18.720 I have the video. I have the video from the moment. If they know what we're playing,
00:01:23.520 I'll share it with you. I just posted it.
00:01:31.520 Fred Baird joining us. You're hearing lots of cross traffic in terms of conversation.
00:01:35.920 Brett, I want to ask you, and look, I understand, given everything that was going on, you may not
00:01:41.440 have had a chance to notice Caroline Levitt, the press secretary, who is quite pregnant.
00:01:47.680 Did you see her? Is she okay?
00:01:49.440 and you know each individual cabinet secretary you know it's a packed room
00:02:07.440 it's like some rooms in there and um and so during that round mobility wise
00:02:13.680 was uh when the security did an amazing job rocking it all down
00:02:28.240 right bear joining us from the hilton where things are chaotic but they appear to be attempting
00:02:36.000 to welcome people back into the room as you take a look at your screen there you
00:02:39.360 You see the left side, it is still crowded.
00:02:41.960 To the right side, you see the proverbial red carpet where folks come in,
00:02:45.700 they take a picture, and then the escalator,
00:02:48.200 if you'll notice in the very far back of the picture on the right,
00:02:51.400 that's the escalator that leads you up to the ballroom,
00:02:54.320 and that's where all the festivities happen.
00:02:55.920 But on the left, you'll notice there are still obviously several hundred people
00:02:59.580 inside the main ballroom, expecting that the evening will continue in some form or fashion.
00:03:07.040 I want to see if I still do we still have Brian Kilmeade couldn't hear that let's let's let's
00:03:17.540 see if we've got my good friend Shannon Bream host of Fox News Sunday Shannon you and I have
00:03:24.520 been to many of these this will be unlike any of the others what can you tell us about what you've
00:03:30.300 so far. Oh, President Trump, President Trump just posted on Truth Social. President Trump
00:03:36.820 just posted on Truth Social like 11 seconds ago. Okay. Okay. Guys, President Trump just posted
00:03:43.980 just 23 seconds ago. Okay. So he says quite an evening in DC, secret service and law enforcement
00:03:52.740 did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended.
00:04:00.300 And I have been recommended that we let the show go on, but will entirely be guided by
00:04:05.980 law enforcement.
00:04:06.820 They will make a decision shortly, regardless of that decision, the evening will be much
00:04:11.720 different than planned and we'll just plain have to do it again.
00:04:16.640 Okay.
00:04:17.180 So president Trump is okay.
00:04:18.480 where's my little america emoji
00:04:30.380 there you go okay so president trump is okay he literally just posted he just posted
00:04:40.100 come next after this security incident that took place just to give you a sense of what
00:04:45.680 was like in the moments after this began remember this is a room filled with not only journalists but
00:04:53.440 the nearly the entire cabinet of the administration the president and the vice president
00:04:58.720 and right when this took place everyone hit the ground people going under tables
00:05:03.760 and the cabinet secretaries were very quickly rushed out of the room just before the event began
00:05:09.680 they checked in with their security and so there was an understanding of where all the cabinet
00:05:13.840 secretaries were located where the president and vice president were on the stage as the security
00:05:19.200 event was unfolding these teams immediately got to the cabinet secretaries and ushered them out
00:05:25.120 of this ballroom at the washington hilton right now the ballroom is still filled this is a lockdown
00:05:32.640 situation no one is allowed in or out of the area and a bunch of attention has subsided right now
00:05:40.720 people are waiting to see what will come next. The president of the White House Correspondents
00:05:44.960 Association, Weijia Zhang, came to the podium very briefly and said that she would update
00:05:50.640 people. There are questions about which administration officials are still here,
00:05:54.880 and if the president is still in the area, and if this night will even go on.
00:06:00.240 But again, a very tense moment, and it appears that the police presence on the scene has gotten
00:06:06.480 much larger outside as you can see from those images and again inside the ballroom here people
00:06:11.440 just trying to gather what information they can on their phones remember this is a ballroom that
00:06:16.400 is filled with journalists people who are covering the nation's capital and this president and now
00:06:22.000 this has become the news and and so at this moment kevin people just gather as much information
00:06:27.360 as possible and again trying to determine what the next steps will be here after many people were
00:06:32.720 very shaken up. A lot of people who were under tables crying and some let out screams. This was
00:06:39.440 a very difficult moment. But again, the security response was immediate. And that was part of the
00:06:44.960 reason that they were able to get the president, the vice president out and many of these cabinet
00:06:48.880 secretaries so quickly. Trey, let me ask you from where you are, what's your sense of how people
00:06:56.720 are doing? Are they just going about it as if, well, that was something? Or do you get the sense
00:07:02.000 that people really want out of that room and they want to head home there are many people that want
00:07:07.920 to leave after this event others were waiting to see if this event will go on and to stay but
00:07:15.360 again just to give you those initial seconds right after this took place there was a lot of
00:07:20.080 uncertainty of what was actually happening on the ground and so you had immediately people getting
00:07:27.120 as flat as they could uh many hiding under tables and when they looked up you could see uh
00:07:34.080 armed even men in swat gear getting these cabinet secretaries out yeah guys there was a gunshot
00:07:39.920 profile guest here okay let me um let me go to my ex post because i found the video of like the
00:07:48.240 moment that it happened it's it's trending all over guys look at this so this is one video look
00:07:56.000 at this everybody's good it is now a crime scene secret service has the person in custody
00:08:10.000 everything's okay one shooter note we know so far thank you
00:08:17.120 and then um i'll school through the the like my feed because um that'll that'll
00:08:26.000 get me more videos but okay so this is like the this is the the main video i guess wait
00:08:33.600 this is the main video
00:08:39.360 oh wait my browser lost connection to audio all right give me a moment sorry guys oh i hate when
00:08:45.680 this happens um stop sharing okay let me just reshare this um
00:08:56.000 Okay, this is the video.
00:09:26.000 This is max volume, guys.
00:09:52.100 This is as loud as it goes.
00:09:56.000 Thank you.
00:10:26.000 Do you know how many assassination attempts they attempted against the Shah of Iran, the previous Shah?
00:10:33.300 Yeah, I just, I just, I shared President Trump's truth social post as soon as it came out.
00:10:39.220 It came out like a while ago, not a while, like a few minutes ago.
00:10:43.660 So like within like 10 seconds, I was sharing it.
00:10:46.360 So President Trump said quite an evening in DC, Secret Service and law enforcement did a fantastic job.
00:10:52.760 They acted quickly and bravely.
00:10:54.320 the shooter has been apprehended and i have been recommended that we let the show go on
00:10:58.220 but will entirely be guided by law enforcement they will make a decision shortly regardless of
00:11:03.480 that decision the evening will be much different than planned and we'll just plain have to do it
00:11:07.740 again so i mean you can sort of hear the gunshots but it's faint like the audio isn't the loudest
00:11:12.760 on this video um i don't know one or two we're guys we're still figuring out what's going on
00:11:20.820 here. But all we know is that President Trump is safe. But let's watch this again.
00:11:38.760 All right.
00:11:50.820 look how quickly look how quickly the the big guns come out wow
00:12:03.140 look how quickly the big guns come out good for them look at these heroes look at these heroes
00:12:11.680 literally like risking their lives to protect their president heroes right there american heroes
00:12:18.280 wow so many
00:12:23.480 this is this is what you call a security team
00:12:28.220 this is what you call a good security team
00:12:31.540 wow
00:12:39.300 and then
00:12:48.280 I think there was, like, a woman who was, like, in, like, a tank top or something.
00:12:53.020 She was, like, I think she was, like, undercover security.
00:12:55.480 Yeah, President Trump is safe.
00:12:56.700 It's right at the bottom of my banner.
00:12:59.660 President Trump is safe, thank God.
00:13:01.820 Okay.
00:13:05.340 Oh, my gosh.
00:13:10.300 Look at this.
00:13:13.180 Carolyn says there's going to be shots fired, but this was two hours ago.
00:13:16.740 Is he not?
00:13:17.420 he is ready to rumble i will tell you this speech tonight will be classic donald j trump it'll be
00:13:24.860 funny it'll be entertaining there will be some shots fired tonight in the room so everyone should
00:13:30.780 tune in it's going to be really great i'm looking forward to hearing it i love it all and you wrote
00:13:34.780 i know i know she meant comedy shots i get that i get that she meant comedy shots guys this isn't
00:13:40.940 the conspiracy theory. We always say shots fired when we're talking about comedy. I'm just saying
00:13:49.780 it's a crazy... I'm pointing out the irony. Guys, I'm pointing out the irony of this because this
00:13:56.520 was posted two hours ago. I'm pointing out the irony, guys, the irony. Shots fired is a very
00:14:04.040 common phrase. Guys, don't get, don't like go into like weird conspiracy theory stuff here.
00:14:10.600 I'm just, I'm pointing, all I'm saying is it just showed up on my feed. I'm just,
00:14:13.960 I'm pointing out the irony. I'm pointing out the irony guys. That's all it is. Don't go crazy.
00:14:19.400 Okay. Here's more footage. Here's for, here's more footage from Fox news.
00:14:22.760 Police seen running through the Washington Hilton where the white house correspondence
00:14:26.140 dinner is being held.
00:14:34.040 that they would give this another go uh just because i obviously out of an abundance of
00:14:59.840 caution, I would probably not allow the president to return if I were in his security detail.
00:15:04.860 Again, understanding that he is the boss. Your viewpoint, as it appears that they're going to
00:15:11.440 try to continue to celebrate the First Amendment and resume the evening at the correspondence dinner.
00:15:17.580 I mean, the thing is, he does not want an incident to stop what we're supposed to do.
00:15:21.020 I mean, the whole thing about from terrorism, when the first time I've seen 9-11,
00:15:25.240 We've got to go back to your life. Don't let terrorism stop you. And if the Secret Service says we cleared the facility, we cleared the facility.
00:15:33.320 I will just relay to you the information that I got. You know, I was sitting next to Tulsi Gabbard. Literally, she was right to my right.
00:15:41.680 Immediately after I smelled the gunpowder, I see a frantic running up the center aisle.
00:15:48.460 Evidently, now we're learning that the shooting happened in the lobby, but they quickly went and grabbed the cabinet secretaries.
00:15:54.300 The first one I saw that they grabbed almost abruptly was RFK.
00:15:59.480 And meanwhile, when I looked up at the podium, I'm talking five seconds.
00:16:03.300 The whole podium was empty.
00:16:04.760 President, the vice president, other side of the dais, they were gone.
00:16:08.720 And then I looked over and there's Mark Wayne Mullen.
00:16:10.780 They get him out.
00:16:11.740 Then they get Sean Duffy out.
00:16:13.680 And I watch RFK get out.
00:16:15.680 And I mean, I'm literally, I don't know a cabinet secretary that wasn't at this event.
00:16:20.460 They were all there.
00:16:21.540 In fact, I was able to go with Rachel and Sean into the cabinet secretary, into the cabinet secretary's own pre get together before.
00:16:32.120 So I saw every single one of them. And I'm trying to think to myself who was missing.
00:16:37.100 You know, I even saw the FCC director. So this is a target rich environment for evil people.
00:16:45.000 But the thing is, Kevin, I'll tell you, my ticket was taken, and I will go to grab my ticket, and all of a sudden when I go back, the president arrives.
00:16:56.600 So there's magnetometers everywhere.
00:16:58.480 They literally were patting everybody down again, and they went through everything again.
00:17:05.240 So how someone got to the point where they apparently had a gun is beyond me and got through.
00:17:12.200 So, you know, it must be something that was planned way ahead of time.
00:17:18.100 And we did hear when we got back into the box room, I get in there,
00:17:23.140 and when Secret Service came in fully armed up with bulletproof vets on,
00:17:28.160 and they said, come with us, there's someone here hiding.
00:17:31.800 Now, whether they were saying that to get us out, I'm not sure.
00:17:34.340 So they grabbed us through the kitchen, and we went out through the kitchen.
00:17:38.360 And on my right, I saw Kash Patel, and one of the main people they got out is, believe
00:17:43.060 it or not, on my table is Erica Kirk, obviously traumatized under the table.
00:17:47.300 They grabbed her.
00:17:48.600 Kash Patel was with her for a second, and then he was working the scene.
00:17:53.340 So literally, you couldn't have had more officials in one place.
00:17:57.920 I don't think you have more, besides the team picture, I don't know of another place to
00:18:02.540 get all the officials.
00:18:03.800 Yeah, I agree completely.
00:18:05.160 Brian, stay with us.
00:18:06.180 want to welcome our managing editor and anchor of Special Report, Brett Baer, back into the
00:18:11.180 conversation. Brett, it is not lost on those of us who have covered the presidency, what happened
00:18:17.480 to Ronald Reagan at the very same building. That's exactly right. And a carport that was added after
00:18:26.400 the Reagan shooting, where it happened just in front of the Washington Hilton in that entrance
00:18:33.440 where the red carpet was tonight you're exactly right kevin um you know i sent in and hopefully
00:18:38.400 they can turn it around uh the video that i took off my phone uh in the seconds that it right after
00:18:46.400 it happened and you can see all of the um the secret service agents rushing in arms drawn
00:18:53.440 and you can see next to me uh the department of homeland security secretary mark wayne mullen
00:18:59.200 a secret service on his back kind of holding him down and you can see the cabinet secretaries and
00:19:05.280 various tables being surrounded by secret service in that moment as everybody's huddling under the
00:19:10.400 table so um you know mass chaos uh in those first moments i think we're starting to get some ground
00:19:17.040 truth about a shooter trying to make it through with a magnetometer and maybe it's secret service
00:19:22.080 that takes the shot at the shooter and kills him. We're trying to get some more information on that.
00:19:30.640 I think it's going to be quite something if they do this event again, start it up again,
00:19:36.640 to your point with Brian. We're in a different environment now. And as we were in the basement
00:19:43.360 of the Washington Hilton, as they're clearing room to room, it was urgent. And they were telling us
00:19:49.600 to run out of the building um so you can you can imagine um you know all the people shaking up uh
00:19:56.800 inside that room yeah and it is quite the gathering i if i'm not mistaken more than a
00:20:02.560 thousand people fit in that particular ballroom having been in it many many times um it it is no
00:20:09.920 yeah so um anthony unplugged channel says the left will 100 use that shots fired quote against
00:20:17.840 love it and the validity of the shooting for no reason or some political commentators will connect
00:20:23.440 some conspiracy dots with kirk oh yeah 100 with kirk's shooter 100 that's exactly what's gonna
00:20:28.160 happen like guys shots fired is a very very common uh phrase right it's it's one of the
00:20:33.680 it's you know it's it's a very common phrase especially when you're dealing with like comedy
00:20:39.120 or whatever right like when you're you know when you're saying something funny about someone right
00:20:43.520 The other person is like, oh, my God, like shots fired. Right. So it's a very, very common phrase, especially in the context of like a White House correspondence dinner. Right.
00:20:53.360 So, guys, if you're not sure what a correspondence dinner is, let me explain to you, because I've I've been to several of these, you know, back when I was an elected official myself in Ontario.
00:21:04.120 So basically a correspondence dinner is when politicians and media get together for a night
00:21:11.500 of fun. And, you know, you have speeches from the media sometimes and, you know, they're basically
00:21:17.340 like, you know, making fun of politicians. But you also have speeches from the politicians who
00:21:24.640 make fun of the media. So the White House correspondence dinner is like the one night a
00:21:31.020 year, um, that politicians, you know, including president Trump has the opportunity to, you know,
00:21:37.380 like make jabs at the media and the media, like, you know, they, they, um, uh, you know,
00:21:44.320 they can't take it seriously because it's, it's all in good fun. Right. So the white house
00:21:49.300 correspondence center is kind of like a way, you know, once a year for politicians and media to
00:21:54.460 kind of like let off steam and let off, you know, all like the, um, uh, you know, like, um, the,
00:22:00.220 you know, stress or, you know, tension or whatever the case might be. So when Carolyn
00:22:06.300 Levitt says shots fired, she's referring to president Trump's speech, which is meant to,
00:22:11.120 um, you know, like make jabs at the media. So that's what she's referring to. But Anthony,
00:22:16.700 you're a hundred percent correct. I can definitely see like the woke left and whatever, uh, you know,
00:22:22.700 using this to, to come up with some sort of crazy, uh, conspiracy theory. Um, Melissa says protect
00:22:29.580 Donald at all costs I agree we have heard that he is safe though so so that's fine oh look here's
00:22:35.720 here's his post they acted quickly guys I shared his truth and I have recommended that we let the
00:22:43.520 show go on but will entirely be guided by law enforcement they will make a decision shortly
00:22:49.720 regardless of that decision the evening will be much different than planned and we'll just
00:22:55.500 plane have to do it again that from the president on truth social want to welcome our other senior
00:23:01.740 white house correspondent peter ducey uh he uh is joining us from a very interesting evening to say
00:23:07.840 the least peter how you holding up uh kevin it was really scary in there um yeah and 19th avenue
00:23:17.020 right now you can see just endless sirens and this is in addition to what they had before
00:23:24.960 Because when you're coming to this correspondence center, everybody knows that the president is going to be there.
00:23:31.160 The vice president is going to be there.
00:23:32.820 It's essentially just one step down from a national security special event like a convention or the where they essentially put all hands on deck with the national security apparatus.
00:23:45.580 but so there are extra police because based on reports uh there was this this shooting or there
00:23:53.420 was a shooter uh near them told by a very very force that there was a shooter at the main mags
00:24:00.700 who is down um i just i heard jackie's first hand here my first hand point of view at the stage
00:24:09.180 looking out towards the the main doors um i had my back kind of three quarters uh to the stage
00:24:17.020 basically not my back quite to the stage but looking out towards the the whole auditorium
00:24:22.620 and they were just starting to pass the bread when a whole rush of people started to come up
00:24:29.420 towards the front door and maybe less than five minutes earlier the honor guard had presented the
00:24:35.820 colors for president trump and the rest of the audience uh gathered to salute the country and
00:24:43.500 to salute the honor guard a rush of people who i thought might have been part of of something you
00:24:52.620 know we're gonna have a mentalist as the main entertainment tonight i thought it might be
00:24:56.860 something related to the entertainment but there was a rush of people towards the front of the
00:25:01.660 stage and when I turned around to to look at the actual stage in the head table which was about 30
00:25:09.020 feet from where I was sitting there was a a secret service officer who again everything is unfolding
00:25:17.180 in real time I would believe it to be from the Hawkeye team which is the people that respond
00:25:21.980 when something really really bad happens I turned my back and there was an officer with a long rifle
00:25:28.780 pointed in the direction of our table and i'm sure that we have this video there were officers
00:25:35.100 every couple of feet with their rifles pointed out towards the crowd that is not something
00:25:42.060 that happens unless there is an extreme threat to the life of the president or the life of the
00:25:48.220 vice president is very very similar to what we saw in butler pennsylvania and honestly because uh
00:25:56.220 the cell signal is so jammed right now it's either because there are stones in this ballroom or
00:26:05.420 uh the the law enforcement folks in dc have the ability to jam us um there's like no cell signal
00:26:13.420 getting actually seen the video i'm looking at it right now on a little bit of a delay on our
00:26:18.540 photographer uh one of our photographer brett's cell phone it's it's kind of freezing up but
00:26:23.500 But that's that is very similar to the response in Butler.
00:26:27.540 I don't know if you guys have had it yet in the show because I just got dialed in.
00:26:32.380 But I'm going to read what the Secret Service said because it's important.
00:26:35.700 The U.S. Secret Service, in coordination with the Metropolitan Police, is investigating a shooting incident near the main greening area at the White House Correspondence Center.
00:26:44.680 The president and the first lady are safe along the protectees.
00:26:48.520 One individual is in custody.
00:26:50.380 And something else that's really interesting, Kevin, you know.
00:26:52.900 Peter, let me interrupt you for just a second.
00:26:55.520 The president is not the only, yes.
00:26:56.700 I just want to let you know that we're getting word the president will conduct a news conference from the White House in about 30 minutes from now.
00:27:04.600 And let's listen in.
00:27:06.180 I see Weijia.
00:27:07.420 To do it tonight, he wanted to continue despite the news, but has to follow security protocol.
00:27:15.420 I said earlier tonight that journalism is a public service because when there is an emergency
00:27:22.120 we run to the crisis not away from it and on a night when we are thinking about the freedoms
00:27:30.000 in the first amendment about how fragile they are. I saw all of you reporting and that's what we do.
00:27:38.740 so thank god everybody is safe and thank you for coming together tonight
00:27:54.660 um we will do this again thank you
00:27:59.220 no guys for for people saying that i've upstaged to see no i haven't guys i i'm just doom watching
00:28:18.080 i'm doom watching and and i ask people in my discord server should i live stream
00:28:22.860 so um we're just i'm live streaming so we can do watch together because i would be watching this
00:28:30.360 anyway at a future point let's uh welcome sean hannity into the conversation by the way thank
00:28:35.820 you to peter doocy uh who's actually outside there i know uh cell service gets to be a little hinky
00:28:40.940 when you have so many people all at once trying to use a limited number of cell towers uh sean
00:28:46.340 your perspective as we heard there from ouija that uh the night is uh canceled the night
00:28:52.360 It was interesting, Kevin, because I was on the phone with the president for about 10 minutes, and I can confirm, yes, he is going back to the White House.
00:29:02.000 He will be making a statement.
00:29:04.020 He will be making a statement about going there in the future, in the very near future.
00:29:10.600 I expect that that probably will be brought up tonight.
00:29:13.240 I will tell you, the president was, you know, he, without an exception, everybody around him was pleading with him not to go back in the room.
00:29:24.820 That's what his instinct was telling him to do.
00:29:27.180 We'll go to his true social next.
00:29:29.380 I have it ready to go.
00:29:30.860 Everybody was laughing about it.
00:29:32.700 I actually heard part of the deliberation and it was the overwhelming consensus that they didn't know if this was a lone wolf or perhaps a greater conspiracy
00:29:41.580 or perhaps somebody came in behind this one shooter.
00:29:44.800 I can also confirm to you this, that the FBI director, Cash Patel, he is there.
00:29:51.120 The perpetrator is on the scene.
00:29:53.360 They're processing it.
00:29:54.860 They confirmed one U.S. Secret Service agent was, in fact, shot.
00:30:00.040 The round was stopped by the vest.
00:30:03.160 And I give all credit to all these guys that put their lives on the line for everybody.
00:30:09.020 The president was saying, you know, well, I made sure that the first lady was safe.
00:30:14.440 But again, the people around him were very, very concerned, rightly so, especially in light of the culture that we are living in.
00:30:20.800 And if you go back to if you go back to what we have all been through as a nation and you think about it there, there's just too many questions.
00:30:30.060 We don't know. Again, you go back to the lone wolf, wider conspiracy.
00:30:35.600 Probably this will be examined and discussed for weeks and weeks ahead.
00:30:40.680 Certainly you would think that that room would be safe and secure.
00:30:43.960 But we do know from the very beginning that the shooter charged the magnetometer closest to the front door.
00:30:51.800 And that's where he took that shot and did hit the Uniform Division Secret Service agent.
00:30:56.840 Thank God he had a vest on.
00:30:58.660 His condition is good.
00:31:00.340 He is going to be fine.
00:31:02.400 But again, you know, out of an abundance of caution, the people around the president were
00:31:07.720 beyond adamant that they did not want this to go forward. They didn't feel like they would be able
00:31:13.700 to, within any reasonable period of time, get that room safe and secure. And the shooter, you know,
00:31:19.660 that shot at the Secret Service member, the agent did return fire. We know that part. We don't know
00:31:26.000 if that person is alive. Well, we do know he's alive because he's being interrogated now by the
00:31:30.240 FBI, that part. So I can only say that. I'm glad that you shared that, Sean, because we
00:31:37.280 obviously heard conflicting reports about not just what happened with respect to where the
00:31:42.600 shooter was, when the gunfire happened, did they make it through the mags, how close the shooting
00:31:48.340 actually happened to the ballroom, which, as you know, is on the second floor. So I appreciate
00:31:53.700 the background. Stay with us for just a second, Sean. I want to read this. This is the president
00:31:57.960 posting on truth social.
00:32:00.000 has requested the new one
00:32:02.700 premises consisted when p
00:32:05.100 we will do immediately. I
00:32:08.140 conference in 30 minutes
00:32:10.180 press briefing room. The
00:32:12.500 the vice president and al
00:32:15.380 are in perfect condition.
00:32:18.320 to you in a half an hour.
00:32:20.520 all the representatives i
00:32:22.920 and we will be rescheduling
00:32:25.580 That from President Donald J. Trump.
00:32:28.680 Sean, back to you.
00:32:29.660 You and I had talked about this previously.
00:32:31.740 We both know the president.
00:32:33.120 You much better than I.
00:32:34.820 I'm not surprised that he would want to at least have the evening happen.
00:32:39.960 I know he wanted to have it happen tonight, but now we'll see if it happens sometime within the next 30 days. 1.00
00:32:45.560 Yeah, Candace is deranged. 1.00
00:32:48.660 She's going to come up with some weird conspiracy theory. 1.00
00:32:51.000 In the first part of the discussion that I heard. 0.98
00:32:53.340 No one cares about her anyway. 0.99
00:32:54.460 She's irrelevant.
00:32:54.980 there wasn't a single person that was in the room there were a number of people with him obviously
00:32:59.380 that agreed with that assessment for a variety of different reasons nobody could assure that this
00:33:05.140 was a lone gunman and nor could they assure the safety and security of that room he tried to make
00:33:10.820 the argument for it it would be hours and hours all right secure so then the president i heard
00:33:18.260 him made the make the decision okay we'll go back to the white house we'll make a statement but i
00:33:22.660 I want this rescheduled in 30 days.
00:33:24.600 Those were words that came right out of his mouth.
00:33:27.260 And at that point, you know, and I do know, having talked to the FBI director very briefly,
00:33:35.240 the FBI director is with the shooter, and the Secret Service agent that was, in fact, shot, thank God.
00:33:41.500 He had body armor on.
00:33:42.900 He will be okay.
00:33:44.520 And that's the latest that we know.
00:33:46.280 Now, there's a lot of—there's going to be a lot of questions, Kevin.
00:33:49.220 And I know you've been bringing up different aspects of this discussion.
00:33:52.660 the culture that we're living in, the rhetoric in the country, all of the above.
00:33:58.300 And, you know, I think that a lot of this is going to be discussed.
00:34:02.180 I'm looking on the screen now.
00:34:03.400 I see somebody being escorted out.
00:34:05.120 Obviously, they got hurt.
00:34:06.040 I don't know if they got hurt in terms of the shooting or if maybe, you know,
00:34:10.400 when they fell to the floor, something might have happened.
00:34:12.640 But it's, you know, it's a scary time for people.
00:34:16.020 This is the president of our country.
00:34:17.380 We all watch Butler.
00:34:19.040 We all watch Trump International.
00:34:20.340 and now on this what was supposed to be a somewhat celebratory night okay okay let me
00:34:26.080 redo the poll a president that has given more access to the media than any modern day president
00:34:31.980 that i can think of um and there is hostility but still you know they they that this is a night that
00:34:39.840 they were going to come together hopefully laugh i don't know what some of these people might have
00:34:44.240 said but you know we've got to pray for our country and a healing that somehow can take place
00:34:49.140 I know I'm going to restart. I'm going to restart. There's got to be a way to have.
00:34:56.560 Sorry, I'm going to restart the poll. So whatever you put in, disregard, we're going to restart it now because now I have all three options.
00:35:02.320 Then racist, because that's what that's the the end summary of what I think the left has done to him.
00:35:08.160 It's dehumanizing. They have vilified. And unfortunately, there are a lot of people that are not well.
00:35:14.300 and those people that are not well, you know, could be susceptible to any suggestions that
00:35:19.480 some people give. And that's the message. I'll have more on Monday night. Well said, my friend.
00:35:23.140 I really appreciate you sharing that. I just want to share this detail from backstage.
00:35:28.280 Our colleague Jackie Heinrich and others have reported that poor Erica Kirk. I mean,
00:35:33.580 you mentioned we all saw Butler. Look, we all saw what happened to poor Charlie.
00:35:39.700 We got this from backstage. Erica Kirk came running through the backstage in tears.
00:35:44.300 crying, I just want to go home. She was then escorted out of the building.
00:35:48.820 It's just, again, it's one of those situations, Sean, I think you said it so well. The discourse,
00:35:55.620 the tone, it's something that's got to give here for the betterment of our country and indeed the
00:36:02.100 entire world. Kevin, I know somebody that actually saw that moment, saw her, spoke to her briefly,
00:36:07.640 and can you really blame her um i mean she watched an assassination of her young husband
00:36:14.800 uh somebody that believed in spirited friendly fun debate that had a deep faith in god
00:36:22.940 and i just think that our better angels at some point here have got to take over i know the
00:36:28.800 tensions are high i understand the political ramifications once i stop the poll and give me
00:36:35.040 we all care put in your answer i do give the president a lot of credit i mean to hear the
00:36:41.980 little bit of deliberations that i was privy to and i asked i did ask if i can report this
00:36:46.780 and he so the the poll is working it's just it's not updating so think of it as a blind poll we
00:36:54.320 don't know what the final result is going to be until i stop it because it's just like it's like
00:36:59.220 a weird glitch for like the the the stream yard app or whatever it will take us five hours to
00:37:05.760 clear that room and make it anywhere near safe and secure for you to go back it's not doable
00:37:11.260 tonight two or three and at that point the president said all right let me go back to
00:37:15.020 the white house he'll be giving remarks momentarily but as soon as i stop it that's what
00:37:19.460 if i resume but i'm going back and those were the words he used and i want it within 30 days
00:37:25.440 I did hear that part of that conversation I was privy to, and I give him a lot of credit for that.
00:37:31.540 That is the same guy we discussed earlier in Butler when he got hit, stood up, fight, fight, fight.
00:37:39.360 And, you know, he's a pretty unique historical figure in many ways.
00:37:44.700 What's for?
00:37:45.600 And it's hard to watch all of this.
00:37:47.940 And, you know, I don't care.
00:37:49.440 We've got to keep elected officials, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative.
00:37:53.840 have, we've got to protect them. And I'm not, I'm not casting aspersions against anybody.
00:37:59.120 I am saying that there's got to be, you know, reevaluation of this. There are so many brave
00:38:04.660 men and women that do put their lives on the line to protect our elected officials. But when a
00:38:10.280 breach like this can happen, we've got, we need a full reexamination of all of it. Both is going
00:38:15.120 ahead. Sean Hannity, thank you, my friend, for your perspective. We appreciate that. We also
00:38:19.300 Sorry, Kevin. Thank you, my friend.
00:38:20.380 And others with us here tonight.
00:38:22.640 We'll welcome them back in momentarily.
00:38:24.640 In the meantime, I want to welcome my colleague, Alicia Acuna.
00:38:28.420 She'll also help us with our coverage here tonight.
00:38:30.620 Alicia, Peter Ducey is outside the Washington Hilton.
00:38:35.080 He, of course, is our senior White House correspondent.
00:38:38.800 Hi, Kevin.
00:38:39.640 Yes, and we're waiting, I guess,
00:38:41.340 more word from Peter Ducey at some point here.
00:38:44.960 But I can't help but stop and think
00:38:46.900 Because I'm watching all of this unfold and as I was preparing to come out here, thinking about you and I sitting next to each other on the big weekend show before we came out, before all of this unfolded.
00:38:55.940 And what was the big mystery here?
00:38:58.160 What was the president going to say when he was standing before the journalists?
00:39:01.240 How were they going to respond?
00:39:02.560 We talked about what people were wearing.
00:39:04.260 And here we are once again for the third time in two years talking about the Secret Service going into action to protect the president of the United States twice before he was the nominee, once in Butler and then again in Florida.
00:39:22.840 And now here, I believe David Spunt said this is one of the most protected places on Earth on this night.
00:39:29.260 right? It doesn't rise to the exact level that Peter Ducey was saying when you're talking about
00:39:34.120 an inauguration, but it comes pretty darn close. And now, once again, Americans are watching
00:39:39.880 violence unfold in an area where the president of the United States is. And it's really hard
00:39:45.900 not to hurt in that way. And I think about the first lady, she was there tonight.
00:39:51.320 We were all talking, you remember tonight, about what could she possibly be wearing? 0.94
00:39:55.140 what will she she's always so elegant and she had to sit there once again and stands tonight
00:40:00.260 knowing that her husband once again was in such danger boy that's such a great point too she's
00:40:07.540 a picture of option one elegance and yet she's also had to go through so so much i can't imagine
00:40:14.560 what's going through her mind right now as of course we look forward to hearing from the
00:40:18.680 president here shortly but in the meantime let's welcome trey yanks back into the conversation
00:40:23.640 uh trey has been inside the ballroom which appears to be emptying out just a bit trey what do you have
00:40:32.120 yeah kevin just to give you a sense all right we've heard from trey so let's go to
00:40:36.920 a different channel um let's see what's happening here
00:40:45.240 oh shoot lost connection to audio sorry guys give me one moment
00:40:53.640 gosh i hate this so frustrating all right i'm sharing my screen again we're gonna go to one
00:41:03.220 america news and see what they have because we've already heard from trey so it seems like they're
00:41:07.160 just repeating speakers here so let me add this and then let's continue uh to be in a building
00:41:15.120 where the president is at least um just some looming questions on and how that individual was
00:41:20.380 able to sneak that weapon through. I wonder too, and this will probably, we'll follow up with this
00:41:27.680 after the fact, but if- Honestly, it's actually, it's honestly, it's insane to me that the White
00:41:31.760 House doesn't even have a ballroom. Like, yeah, absolutely. Why would you not want to have
00:41:35.780 a ballroom in the White House so that you can control security and safety? Like, it's insane.
00:41:40.820 It's insane that the leftists are like complaining about a ballroom. A hundred percent, it justifies
00:41:45.260 the ballroom um pj says thank you goldie for your constant support of president trump and
00:41:50.460 the people everyone thank you so much thank you guys for being here thank you for your support
00:41:54.620 maybe trump will address that uh in about what 15 10 minutes from now with that yeah about 10
00:42:00.540 minutes 10 15 minutes i think you're absolutely right and it does raise a ton of questions and
00:42:05.660 it makes you wonder because uh you know other attempts on his life butler pennsylvania obviously
00:42:12.220 which raised a whole lot of questions, investigations all over the place, Capitol Hill, you know, Secret Service, all kinds of places.
00:42:21.880 So, yeah. And then there was the shooter on his golf course.
00:42:27.800 So and now this. So, you know, you do have to wonder and certainly you have to ask questions about the security.
00:42:37.780 and wonder about the process of providing security for this president,
00:42:43.840 if it is somehow flawed, perhaps fundamentally.
00:42:49.160 And I think they're going to hear a lot about that.
00:42:52.600 And here we've got more motorcades coming by.
00:42:58.240 You can probably hear that.
00:43:00.600 It's more excitement.
00:43:03.360 that's always very very busy seems like it's like on every block they're boarding up with
00:43:12.200 law enforcement uh given what happened tonight john and alex um the the amount of people yeah
00:43:19.140 go ahead well i was just going to say uh what's interesting is we we saw the presidential motorcade
00:43:25.680 before coming from the host. Wait, let me just go to CNN.
00:43:35.600 Are likely parents or not who might be experiencing what so many children across this country
00:43:41.180 endure every day in school. Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, Ben, because the president.
00:43:47.480 Nope. I can't deal with that. So, so they go right away to school shootings. Insane freaks.
00:43:54.440 you insane freak. But I know it is deemed safe. Yeah, no. Oh my God is in custody. So I think 1.00
00:44:01.540 people are just kind of talking amongst themselves, talking to other people, trying to figure out
00:44:06.400 what happened tonight and, you know, working through the details as we're learning them in
00:44:11.980 real time. And so, John, we saw some high profile attendees there. We saw Linda McMahon. You spoke
00:44:20.140 to a congressman. McCall, I think it was. And so there was everybody. Mike McCall. I mean,
00:44:28.200 if you're anybody and anybody in D.C., you are there at this event, especially one headline by
00:44:34.800 President Trump, the first time coming to an event like this as a sitting president. Obviously,
00:44:39.960 he skipped on the event in the past few years, but maybe this one was special for so many reasons.
00:44:46.880 You know, we have an ongoing conflict in Iran.
00:44:49.980 We have stuff working through Congress.
00:44:52.200 I know I'm under the table with him.
00:44:55.120 My husband's across the table.
00:44:56.540 He's under the table as well.
00:44:58.300 You know, next to, he was next to Kerry Lake.
00:45:02.720 I hear Chris Ruddy tell Franklin Graham,
00:45:04.840 get down, get down, get down,
00:45:05.940 because Franklin was the last one down at our table.
00:45:08.720 So, I mean, it's just pandemonium.
00:45:13.020 There's some video now coming in
00:45:14.920 of the takedown of the shooter.
00:45:16.880 If you stand by, if you have to go, Greta, tell us, but it was playing out on the screen.
00:45:22.340 And this might look like the aftermath of the takedown.
00:45:26.080 Yeah, because the shooter appears to be on the ground, Bianca, obviously.
00:45:29.960 So it's our first, you know, we saw, go ahead, go ahead.
00:45:34.080 And you just can't underestimate how bad the traffic was to get into the place
00:45:41.140 and how terrible the security was once you opened the door.
00:45:45.500 I mean, the traffic wasn't security.
00:45:49.100 The traffic was just sort of a mess with a bunch of police car stoppings.
00:45:52.180 Anybody could have walked in there.
00:45:53.920 So the one thing that we're seeing now is that there appeared to be like a sheet or a towel over this shooter and he has no shirt on.
00:46:02.820 I don't know if he was a protester, had the shirt off, if law enforcement ripped his shirt off to see if he had a bomb on him or what may have transpired.
00:46:09.940 All that's going to come out, obviously.
00:46:12.440 and we're going to hear from the president of the United States live, pardon me, any moment now
00:46:16.860 from the White House briefing room. And oh, by the way, Greta, there's one other piece of
00:46:22.240 information, which is when you read that White House pull note that says we are flying back to
00:46:26.980 the White House, fastest motorcade I've ever been in, they say the motorcade was rolling at 946,
00:46:32.960 which is only 14 minutes ago. Why is that important? Bianca, that tells us the president
00:46:38.100 was still at the hotel he did not oh yeah they probably held him there they had him in a holding
00:46:42.600 room yeah yeah yeah i'll tell you they probably did hold him there because when we first of all
00:46:47.960 it's raining we're all walking in the rain into this building we're when that's not raining now
00:46:51.640 but um but you could hear protesters i said it sounded like protesters on the other side of the
00:46:56.080 hotel so but but that's washington i mean you know we we like the first amendment we're proud
00:47:00.780 of the first amendment people protesting when you don't like it you know we're proud of it we don't
00:47:04.860 like shootings. We don't like terrorism. We don't like anything like that. So, so it's people sort
00:47:10.060 of, that's sort of ordinary. The only thing that was abnormal that I thought was the lack of
00:47:15.380 security. Yeah. Well, that is abnormal. Uh, in the wake of where we are, there's, you know,
00:47:20.240 war in Iran. Uh, this is now a question we keep asking all our guests, Gretas, how is this,
00:47:25.980 how is this happening? How is this allowed to happen again and again? And, and no one seems
00:47:31.120 to really be able to answer that um the failures well you know continue i mean i guess we don't
00:47:37.120 want to live in a police state either um you know you can't shut you know this is a hotel
00:47:43.520 and and you can't you know you can't shut it down but um i think in some ways i i suspect the rain
00:47:49.040 was part of a problem getting people into the building yeah you know because it was raining
00:47:52.560 it was me my guess you know because we were it's free it's also cold and get everybody cold and
00:47:58.080 getting people getting all these people into the building and people who hadn't seen each other a
00:48:02.000 long time where people yeah let's talk to each other i talked to john setterman for a long time
00:48:07.360 let's see fact that the president the vice president multiple cabinet secretaries multiple
00:48:13.360 top members of congress were all inside of this this is a hotel that regularly hosts this event
00:48:20.320 the security posture i recognize that maybe to some it looks stepped up but frankly the years
00:48:25.600 that i've been there with presidents and without presidents this is my ninth or tenth dinner
00:48:29.600 the security felt the exact same and i will say yes there is a cursory check of bags and there's
00:48:35.440 a cursory check of tickets but there was to my mind nothing that felt stepped up about what we
00:48:42.160 ultimately saw last night and to give viewers a sense and i think you guys tonight alicia you
00:48:50.960 You know, Kevin, yeah, aren't we all just praying for our country tonight?
00:48:54.160 Because this is a jarring moment, I think, for the United States, for Americans,
00:49:00.580 to sit back and watch this occur once again.
00:49:04.560 So, yes, we are all praying for our country right now.
00:49:07.000 And joining us now by phone is host of Fox News at Night, Trace Gallagher.
00:49:12.280 Trace, you were in the ballroom as well, correct?
00:49:14.800 Oh, my apologies. We do not have trace at this moment. Who do we have on the phone right now?
00:49:25.840 You know what? I can tell you this, Alicia. While we continue to try to get more staff,
00:49:31.200 and we had so many, obviously, in the ballroom, I just want to point something out. I was watching
00:49:36.080 earlier, right as you see them now clearing the material on the left side there. I was watching
00:49:42.780 as trey yanks was describing the perimeter and as you look at the semi-circle there on the right
00:49:48.140 where the correspondence dinner is at the washington hilton i know you've been as well
00:49:52.540 uh it is still remarkable to think that someone who is armed who is not a part of the security
00:49:58.160 detail can get okay guys um one of our viewers um it was jennifer so jennifer on x just uh sent this
00:50:08.760 update. Guys, everyone put a J in the chat for Jennifer. We have an update from the FBI.
00:50:18.460 So FBI just posted about half an hour ago, the FBI, oh, audio is lost. Okay. So the FBI
00:50:28.180 Washington Field Office's National Capital Response Squad has responded to a shooting
00:50:35.280 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. The subject is in custody. Okay, so that's the
00:50:44.140 so apparently the shooter is alive, I guess, and is in custody. So there we go. Thank you so much
00:50:55.400 for that update, Jennifer. I appreciate that. Guys, this makes it so much better for me. Instead
00:51:00.020 of just like doom scrolling and watching it on my own i guess we can watch it together so i
00:51:06.940 appreciate all you being here all right let's go back to to fox news now yes i'm right here hi
00:51:16.280 brad uh thank you so much it's alicia acuna uh so glad that you and amy and everyone are safe
00:51:22.020 um wanting to know now what you any update that you have and what's going on around you
00:51:27.180 well we've evacuated now we're out of uh the building and uh as i you may have heard early on
00:51:35.260 we were uh escorted by fox security by the way we should give a big applause to um our own security
00:51:41.800 staff that worked alongside the secret service and in those chaotic first minutes uh for seconds
00:51:47.580 i should say as everybody's taking to the ground and going under tables and you see the president
00:51:51.640 being escorted out there with the cordon of Secret Service agents.
00:51:56.400 At the same time, our security was jumping to all the executives and all the tables that
00:52:01.880 we had and did a great job.
00:52:03.960 We managed to get out through a back door to a lower point of holding room where we
00:52:11.620 had a pre-party, and that's when I described these heavily armed Secret Service full gear
00:52:21.040 as you're seeing on the screen now those guys looking like those guys uh came into uh the room
00:52:27.880 and said you had to get out of this area run and run to uh underneath the uh the washington hill
00:52:35.860 sorry mike was muted yeah guys i'm seeing your comments about who the person might be
00:52:48.100 lots of rumors going around um i'm just i'm gonna avoid saying anything i mean you guys can continue
00:52:53.820 talking in the chat and you know sharing you know your thoughts and rumors and things like that i'm
00:52:58.480 just not going to say anything until we actually like know what's going on um because there's so
00:53:03.660 much info right but uh we'll we'll find out eventually who it was for sure this president
00:53:09.380 has been through this and he's going to have some words about uh being standing up uh to this kind
00:53:16.460 And, you know, he says he wants to do it again within 30 days.
00:53:21.460 And I'm sure we'll be back in the Washington Hilton in that same spot with a lot of security.
00:53:27.160 And Kevin, to your point, you're right. There's different levels.
00:53:30.740 They shut off streets, you know, three, four streets away.
00:53:34.260 As you get closer to the Washington Hilton, we went through a number of different stops with our tickets.
00:53:40.960 And then obviously the magnetometers to get into the ballroom itself.
00:53:44.940 indeed Brett go ahead Alicia oh thank you Brett I just um I was struck by something we were when
00:53:53.280 we were on the big weekend show we were showing all of our Fox family going through the red carpet
00:53:58.740 at the step and repeat and taking pictures and I I saw video of you and your beautiful wife Amy and
00:54:04.540 I just I have to ask you what that was like for you we have covered these yeah guys I just want
00:54:11.020 say really quickly, this is not an Iran revolution live, like, like, you know, episode. This is like
00:54:16.800 the Goldie show, guys. This is what I used to do before the Iranian revolution started. So
00:54:21.780 different rules apply here. Just, you know, don't, don't be, you know, rude or anything like that.
00:54:27.040 But I mean, you guys want to speculate, you want to talk, you want to share, you know, rumors,
00:54:30.980 go for it. Like chats, chats open for that. It's, it's literally why I'm doing this. Cause I could
00:54:36.760 just watch this on my own but i figured you know might as well um live stream it and we can all
00:54:41.820 watch together so yeah like go for it this is uh the the same rules don't apply here because this
00:54:48.320 is a different scenario so yeah guys go go crazy go wild rumors speculation whatever go for it
00:54:55.920 that's why we're here she was very shaken i should say but you know two tables away was erica kirk
00:55:01.360 who also was under the table and, um, obviously was really shaken up and, and she was escorted
00:55:08.020 out and, um, you know, crying in the back hall, uh, as you can imagine after, um, the assassination
00:55:14.800 of her husband. Boy, it just really tugs at the heartstrings when you hear stories like Brett's
00:55:21.020 and others, you know, uh, I was struck by the fact that they ushered Caroline Levitt, uh,
00:55:26.960 I'm I'm very sad about you so quickly for those who know the, uh, the White House press secretary of course is, um, uh, I want to say eight and a half months pregnant. So, um, uh, they were able to usher her off of the stage safely. But again, families like Brett's and others, uh, and a harrowing circumstance, certainly in the early stages, you just don't know what's going on. Joining us now is Martha McCallum and Trace Gallagher. Uh, they're at the White House, uh, correspondence dinner. Uh, they're not quite
00:55:56.940 We'll be joined by them momentarily. Brett, if I might just add this last layer, we're expecting the.
00:56:04.780 So if IRGC media is going to cover this, like they'll probably spin it as President Trump has lost control of the country.
00:56:12.860 Americans are mad at him. And, you know, the Islamic regime, Islamic regime has been successful in turning Americans against President Trump. 0.52
00:56:22.420 and the attacks are only going to continue. That's how the Islamic regime would spin this. 0.97
00:56:27.300 They would try to spin this as like a victory for the Islamic regime. Right. And they would say, 0.86
00:56:31.120 look, we have like sleepers. I'm just assuming, but I'm pretty like, I'm thinking that's what
00:56:35.540 the Islamic regime would say. They would, they would spin this as like, look, even Americans 0.88
00:56:40.460 hate president Trump. And you know, they're trying to assassinate him because they support
00:56:46.560 the Islamic regime, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right. So that that's probably how they're going 0.86
00:56:50.960 spin it. Even if they're not involved, that's how they would spin it.
00:56:57.620 And which is part of the message of let's get back at this within 30 days. So I assume you'll
00:57:04.960 hear a very resolute President Donald Trump by the time he takes the podium in the White House
00:57:12.100 briefing room. You know, and we're watching the White House briefing room. We're looking at the
00:57:17.980 camera from where we are right now and I believe I saw someone in a tux it looks like some people
00:57:23.020 who were in the room where you were somehow made it also to the White House briefing room which
00:57:28.640 is incredible talking to Aisha and I've been to a couple of White House Correspondents in her it's
00:57:32.780 been years but getting in and out as she said is nearly impossible on a good night um but yeah I'm
00:57:38.340 looking at a woman right now she has an evening gown on it's it's just so striking yeah it is
00:57:43.680 and you know the press pool travels with the president i don't know if they managed to get
00:57:48.160 it guys you know you know you know who my team is my team is me and my phone and my laptop that
00:57:54.880 that's basically it that's basically it i actually i actually don't have a team i have you guys though
00:58:02.320 you guys are amazing so you know i i have a community of amazing people but i don't actually
00:58:07.600 have a team or anything although my sister helps me out a lot but thank you for the kind words i
00:58:12.800 I appreciate that.
00:58:13.800 ...of the First Amendment, Oz Perlman, you know, was going to do his whole routine with
00:58:20.300 the president.
00:58:21.300 The president was expected to talk for, you know, not until later in the evening.
00:58:25.820 But, you know, it was a celebration, really.
00:58:28.300 And the fact that he showed up was a big thing and obviously was mentioned by the president
00:58:34.100 of the White House.
00:58:35.100 Yeah, I know.
00:58:36.100 Like, that's what I'm saying.
00:58:37.100 The community, the Discord community.
00:58:38.100 You guys are fantastic.
00:58:39.100 We want to continue the conversation.
00:58:41.100 is we're looking over here on the left side I see some familiar faces people that I'm sure you
00:58:45.460 would recognize as well as they are now preparing the podium what happens usually if the president
00:58:51.340 is going to speak in the Brady press briefing room they will bring in a bevy sometimes as many as
00:58:58.860 a half dozen old glories American flags and then they will bring I imagine because there were so
00:59:06.540 many uh individual cabinet members that were there it is highly likely that they too will
00:59:11.900 speak tonight would that be your expectation as well brett well you know you may have the fbi
00:59:17.020 director uh talk about what they know um i'm i'm not don't know that for a fact as we were running
00:59:24.620 out uh calling the secret service uh and their their orders to get out we passed by
00:59:36.700 i shouldn't laugh at this but it's so funny
00:59:43.420 guys because though guys the white house correspondence dinner is like it's supposed
00:59:49.100 to be the one night that reporters take off right so it's it's literally the one night that
00:59:55.020 journalists take off and that's when you know they get drunk and you know they party and whatever
01:00:01.100 oh no i shouldn't laugh but this is so funny
01:00:10.860 the reporters are drunk and starving oh no oh no
01:00:14.700 What's funny is that the comment drunk reporters have to work now because this was at the White
01:00:22.420 House correspondence dinner. So again, I explained it. The correspondence dinner is the one night of
01:00:31.300 the year that reporters, they take the night off, right? And they basically have dinner and drinks
01:00:39.040 and they get drunk and then, you know, politicians come and they give funny speeches where they're
01:00:43.900 attacking the media so uh this comment you know uh is is funny because all these reporters are now
01:00:51.900 who thought they would have the night off and they probably got drunk now they have to report
01:00:57.380 that's that's why it's funny standing and one of the things that we really noticed on the way out
01:01:03.000 and it's okay to laugh because we already know that you know no matter how scary it was everyone
01:01:09.420 is okay everyone is safe so i think only one of the shooters have been like you know boom boomed
01:01:16.780 but not really you guys know what i mean um so that's why i'm laughing plus guys i'm iranian i
01:01:20.760 have dark humor get used to my dark humor the system around the country you always go through
01:01:26.180 a stadium everybody recognizes stadiums and arenas you always go through give your tickets
01:01:31.220 and then you go through the magnetometers to make sure that you are clear in this case the
01:01:36.380 magnetometers as you can see behind me behind that blue wall they were inside
01:01:41.480 the building so it is our understanding that we believe that this alleged
01:01:46.620 shooter was inside the building at the time by the magnetometers so that is a
01:01:53.840 concern about you know the staging of exactly where the security system in the
01:01:58.500 apparatus yeah I'm happy to be here I'm literally just like doom watching like I
01:02:02.380 going to watch this on my own uh but some people were like live stream so yeah four tables as you
01:02:08.860 know we look at the room she was four tables to the right of us and we were oh no where it leads
01:02:16.620 to the front to the stage so there's no way i'm recalling the main entryway to the area where the
01:02:23.500 president and the white house correspondence group was up there and the vice president so on and so
01:02:28.540 forth that is the main area so when we were there we were sitting there and
01:02:33.540 Laurence Jones was to my right and he just heard something I heard some
01:02:39.040 popping and I was talking to Emily Campania who said that she she thought
01:02:44.080 that it sounded like somebody a waiter or somebody dropped some dishes drop
01:02:50.260 some plates and she didn't know what it was we didn't know what we heard now
01:02:54.220 Did we hear gunshots? No, we're not saying that. We heard something. Oh, an agent got shot? Oh, secret service agent. He's alive, though, right? I think he's alive. Oh, man. Guys, pray for the secret service agent, everyone. Oh, my God.
01:03:14.080 you're helping people because you know everybody is some older people in this
01:03:17.360 in this building okay sometimes you're helping people get under the tables you're making sure
01:03:23.520 everybody is safe and then you have secret service agents walking around saying get down stay down
01:03:28.720 stay down we didn't know was there somebody that was a threat inside the actual auditorium
01:03:37.200 and that was that was never clear that was never the case so we were told afterwards
01:03:41.760 never happened the person the the person of interest the suspect never got into the actual
01:03:48.940 auditorium but but the interesting part of all of this is exactly where this guys okay everyone put
01:03:57.140 a w in the chat for um who dat nation gal one of our viewers on rumble because she just sent me
01:04:06.080 this link. And it's got images of the shooter. Look at this, guys. Breaking news. Before Fox
01:04:16.120 News. Look at this. Look at this. Look at this. So, oh my gosh, look at this guy. Look at this guy.
01:04:23.940 Look at that. Whoa. Whoa. Look at that. Guys, this is breaking news. You're seeing it here
01:04:34.640 before you see it on Fox News.
01:04:39.140 Is that like aluminum on him or something?
01:04:41.200 What is that, aluminum foil?
01:04:45.020 What is that, like a ponytail, man bun?
01:04:47.060 What's going on there?
01:04:54.360 Is that his hair?
01:04:55.680 What is that?
01:04:56.200 That's so weird.
01:04:58.780 I don't know.
01:04:59.440 They probably stripped him.
01:05:01.000 they probably so he's probably naked because they probably stripped him to like you know they took
01:05:07.380 his clothes off probably to make sure he's not hiding any like weapons or guns or something i
01:05:12.500 mean that that's what i would assume i don't know if that's true or not i've never been in that
01:05:16.620 situation guys don't quote me we're totally like i'm totally out of my element here so this is no
01:05:23.540 longer geopolitics so if i say something or if i give an opinion literally just an opinion like i
01:05:30.000 I don't know if this is what's happening. Right. But I would assume I would assume that they
01:05:36.000 probably stripped him to make sure that like he doesn't have any like, you know, guns or boom
01:05:42.240 booms or whatever on him. Right. So they stripped him and then, you know, put like a aluminum foil
01:05:50.160 blanket on him or something. So that's that's what I'm assuming is going on here. Yeah. Yeah.
01:05:57.600 we need that ballroom for sure. A hundred percent. Um, yeah, there you go. 0.84
01:06:02.240 That's my geopolitical analysis of why he's naked.
01:06:10.180 It is stunning. And, you know,
01:06:12.540 the reporters are in their ball gowns. Look at that one. 0.96
01:06:16.280 Like they're all in their like ball gowns as much as they can trying to figure
01:06:20.260 out this story as it's unfolding and is everybody safe?
01:06:24.000 And where are the cabinet members?
01:06:25.680 we watched cabinet members and congressmen get ushered out of the room um mark wayne mullin the
01:06:30.320 new director of homeland security was right near us yeah i think he was with brett at brett's table
01:06:35.440 and i think brett probably just spoke about that but you know the president wanted to carry on uh
01:06:40.240 and now he is about to speak at the white house so we're waiting for that to happen they're just
01:06:44.720 making another announcement here um look at this guys trying to get everybody to leave the building
01:06:50.720 because they want to continue the investigation
01:06:55.680 Okay, guys. So Jennifer Pittman, who's watching on X with another win. So another J for Jennifer.
01:07:06.540 So Secret Service has confirmed that everyone is okay. So we will provide updates as they become
01:07:15.980 available and confirm info. Our teams are on the ground assessing the situation, investigating.
01:07:20.700 investigating. All of our protectees are safe. The U.S. Secret Service, in coordination with
01:07:26.660 the Metropolitan Police Department, is investigating a shooting incident near the main
01:07:31.040 magnetometer screening area at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The President and the
01:07:37.660 First Lady are safe along all protectees. One individual is in custody. The condition of those
01:07:43.160 involved is not yet known, and law enforcement is actively assessing the situation. There we go.
01:07:50.700 They were behind barricades outside of the Hilton here as people walked in.
01:07:56.040 Not that unusual in today's world, but I think it's worth noting.
01:07:59.600 And that was one of my first thoughts when I could-
01:08:01.720 Yeah, guys, we saw the shooter.
01:08:03.180 This was the shooter.
01:08:04.120 Maybe it was protester.
01:08:06.000 We broke it on the Goldie Show.
01:08:08.540 We broke it on the Goldie Show before it went on Fox News.
01:08:11.920 So this is the shooter.
01:08:17.360 There he is.
01:08:20.700 just imagine because when you hear the secret service and you hear all of a sudden what you
01:08:32.660 think anything could be gunshots right you're in a banquet and every time somebody drops a
01:08:37.160 coffee cup in a thing every time somebody makes a glass and cheers right everything you hear
01:08:43.600 can in your minds yeah guys this is this is the goldie show this is what i used to do before
01:08:48.940 iran revolution live so and then sometimes when i do documentary watch parties i mean i don't know
01:08:54.940 what to call my podcast so i just kind of called it the goldie show if anyone has like a better
01:09:00.300 name let me know because i just i just call it the goldie show i don't know what else to call it
01:09:07.260 really was i the first to break this because i just saw what i just saw what happened on
01:09:11.420 act so then i just went online i just went online to to watch it and then i figured i
01:09:16.940 might as well live stream and we can all just like watch it together oh i don't know what happened
01:09:21.180 i'm just i'm glad you guys are all here we can watch it together because i'm not like i'm like
01:09:27.420 i'm a i'm um i'm like a geopolitical analyst political commentator or this i heard that
01:09:38.060 so to get a clear picture of what is actually happening or what actually happened inside the
01:09:44.060 auditorium right now is very difficult and you can see that the secret service and the people
01:09:50.380 who are here are doing yeoman's work trying to get a handle on this they stopped whoever this was
01:09:56.060 they stopped this person from doing any uh major damage inside this auditorium oh look at this
01:10:03.020 guys guys guys i have another video for you you see on the top is they they did escort a man out
01:10:09.900 um and you know it's hard to i'm not wow guys okay look at this so this one comes from
01:10:17.900 milo guys one of our viewers milo sent this video yeah you guys know the drill
01:10:24.860 put an m in the chat for milo look at this guys look at this
01:10:29.660 Wait, was it Milo or was it Puria?
01:10:45.980 Puria, Puria, I'll get to your post next. Sorry, the chat's going really quick. I'm
01:10:59.580 story guys. No one's spamming M guys. People are putting M in the chat as a Milo appreciation
01:11:12.800 because one of our viewers Milo sent this link. So whenever someone, whenever someone, you know,
01:11:20.000 sends, um, you know, something informative, I just, I just, you know, I like to appreciate
01:11:26.180 them. So it's not a spam. We're just appreciating Milo sending this link. Now we have another link
01:11:34.320 from, I think it was Puria. Where's Puria? I know, I know I have to read the chat. There's
01:11:40.920 ways, there's so much happening here. Okay, Puria, you're saying, go look at Laura Loomer.
01:11:49.040 Okay, let me go look at Laura Loomer. Before I do that, let me just share this other link. Sorry,
01:11:55.120 guys everyone is sending links i'm trying my best but you know it's just me um so okay guys
01:12:02.320 everyone put um a v in the chat for vince because vince vince sent this one to me so we're guys
01:12:25.120 Katie, do you have all your stuff?
01:12:51.360 Why would you be filming in this situation?
01:12:53.420 it. I mean, sure, good footage, good footage. You know what? They're reporters. They couldn't
01:13:03.020 help them
01:13:33.020 Okay, guys. So, um, guys, everyone put a P in the chat for Puria because this is what,
01:13:54.200 this is what Laura Loomer is now, um, reporting. So Laura Loomer is, is claiming scoop attempted
01:14:04.740 assassin Cole Thomas Allen, a 31 year old male from California is a registered Democrat. He is
01:14:14.980 now in custody. Cole Thomas Allen turned 31 two weeks ago. His birthday is, I guess, April 11
01:14:24.020 in 1995. So that's what Laura Loomer is saying. And then scoop, the man who just tried to
01:14:30.840 assassinate president Trump is a teacher in California. In addition to being a registered
01:14:36.360 Democrat. Additionally, the attempted assassin appears to have been rewarded
01:14:40.620 a teacher of the month award in December of 2024. Um, and he's not going to stay at the
01:14:50.740 White House press conference correspondence dinner. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Briefing room there.
01:14:58.160 Usually what will happen is you look to the left side of your screen there, and obviously the
01:15:02.780 president usually will be preceded by the press secretary and others. We anticipate that there
01:15:08.820 could be a cabinet member or two, Alicia, that could also speak tonight, perhaps even the FBI
01:15:14.320 director, Kash Patel. Again, we're sort of guessing who might come out and speak, but it would seem to
01:15:19.860 make the most sense, obviously, to come out and first let everyone know exactly what happened,
01:15:25.000 what we know about the shooter, and where we go from here as we await the President, Alicia.
01:15:31.460 Exactly, Kevin. And, you know, earlier tonight when there were reports that the President of
01:15:36.160 the United States said that basically the show was going to go on, he still wanted to continue
01:15:39.660 with this evening. Okay, another video. This is on Nick Sartor's X account,
01:15:47.440 and Bijan
01:15:49.500 sent this to me. So guys, you know
01:15:51.520 the drill. Please put a B
01:15:53.240 put a B
01:15:55.220 in the chat
01:15:56.840 and
01:15:59.520 let's watch this really quick and then we'll go back
01:16:01.440 to the live news feed.
01:16:17.440 there's the president being escorted the president being escorted out one side
01:16:29.120 the vice president being escorted wow jd vance goes this way and then president
01:16:33.940 goes the other way look at that they're just dragging him wow look look at that so so at
01:16:43.620 first JD Vance is like, what the heck is going on? Like, why is this person dragging me? Right.
01:16:49.260 But obviously like the, you know, like, like they've been trained to do that. Right. So God
01:16:53.520 bless, God bless, um, the, the secret service for, for, uh, you know, like doing that. Right.
01:16:59.500 But just look at that. Right. Like this is literally what they're trained to do. And then,
01:17:04.360 you know, and at first JD Vance is like, wait, what's going on. And you know, he's just resisting
01:17:08.900 because it's natural right um and then he's like oh shit something's happening so he goes one way 0.97
01:17:14.360 president trump goes the other and that's protocol right like they go their own separate ways and 0.95
01:17:19.160 then they just they just you know and it's for safety reasons
01:17:22.200 yeah president trump goes the other way
01:17:34.660 there's the president being escorted the president being escorted out one side
01:17:48.400 the vice president being yeah i mean two seats probably sleeping because it's pretty late where
01:17:53.320 he is i'm sure you can imagine these administration officials the president himself and the vice
01:17:58.920 president they are they have a long history of experiencing these types of security events and
01:18:06.120 it is just a reminder of how dangerous moments can be but when you look at the security perimeter
01:18:12.280 that was around this area it was not just the secret service but the local police a variety
01:18:17.080 of different law enforcement agencies and there were a number of checks to get into the washington
01:18:22.680 along with those metal detectors where we understand this security incident yeah i think
01:18:28.520 back to inside the ballroom as this yeah guys i'm seeing the links of like you know the images of
01:18:34.440 the shooter going around let's let's just hold off let's just hold off on that um i'd rather
01:18:41.880 like i'd rather wait like you guys can share the link amongst yourselves right you guys share the
01:18:46.440 link amongst yourselves you know go nuts whatever you can share it in the chat talk you know amongst
01:18:52.120 one another um but i'm gonna wait for like an actual verified news source before i share any
01:18:57.560 images because we just don't want the wrong person accidentally to to be there right so that that's
01:19:03.160 the only reason but you guys continue sharing you guys go nuts go nuts as the security guys like i
01:19:09.880 said like i'm not like i'm not news i'm just i'm i'm doom i'm doom watching i i would be watching
01:19:15.960 this on my own anyway so i just figured we would we would watch it together um so yeah that that's
01:19:22.680 why i'm here um president trump posted a video oh okay oh wow what did what did president trump post
01:19:32.760 wait what did what did president trump post let's see oh my oh my god
01:19:45.960 okay so that unverified image
01:19:53.820 is president trump speaking now
01:20:02.320 is president trump speaking right now because i'm looking at fox news and i don't see him
01:20:10.560 around the world to journalism students here in washington in the nation's capital and again this
01:20:22.000 turned into a very somber moment and a senior white house official telling fox news that there
01:20:27.240 is a resilient vibe within the administration right now incredibly acted upon by secret service
01:20:33.800 in law enforcement and this was an event dedicated to freedom of speech that was supposed to bring
01:20:42.840 together members of both parties with members of the press and in a certain way it did
01:20:49.000 because the fact that they just unified i saw a room that was just totally unified it was
01:20:55.640 in one way very beautiful a very beautiful thing to see a man charged a security checkpoint armed
01:21:02.280 with multiple weapons and he was taken down by some very brave members of secret service and
01:21:09.160 they acted very quickly and have just released for purposes of transparency clarity i've ordered it
01:21:17.640 to be put out you probably have it by now put out on truth and put out on many of the platforms
01:21:24.920 a tape showing the violence of this thug that attacked our constitution and also showing how
01:21:31.480 quickly secret service and law enforcement acted on our country's behalf really did a great job
01:21:39.480 one officer was shot but saved by the fact that he was wearing a obviously a very good bulletproof
01:21:47.000 vest he was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun and the vest did the job
01:21:55.720 I just spoke to the officer, and he's doing great.
01:21:58.880 He's in great shape.
01:22:00.680 He has very high spirits, and we told him we love him and respect him.
01:22:09.420 And he's a very proud guy.
01:22:11.460 He's very proud of what he does, Secret Service agent.
01:22:16.040 And we looked at all of the conditions that took place tonight,
01:22:21.220 and i will say you know it's not a particularly secure building and uh i didn't want to say this
01:22:30.660 but this is why we have to have all of the attributes of what we're planning at the white
01:22:37.540 house it's actually a larger room and it's a much more secure it's got it's drone proof it's
01:22:43.460 bulletproof glass we need the ballroom that's why secret service that's why the military are
01:22:47.380 demanding it they've wanted the ballroom for 150 years for lots of different reasons but today is
01:22:55.780 a little bit different because today we need levels of security that probably nobody's ever
01:23:01.220 seen before but everyone owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to the courage of law enforcement
01:23:09.700 the law enforcement and working with the dc police and we just spoke with the mayor
01:23:15.300 and when we're finished the police chief is going to take over and discuss it also from
01:23:22.740 their viewpoint but they also performed exactly as they were supposed to and you see the attacker in
01:23:30.500 different positions but you also see the attacker totally subdued and under control so as you know
01:23:38.260 this is not the first time in the past couple of years that our republic has been attacked
01:23:42.820 by a would-be assassin who sought to kill in butler pennsylvania less than two years ago you
01:23:49.940 all know that story and in palm beach florida a few months after that we came close we really had
01:23:56.980 again we had some great work done by law enforcement but in light of this evening's
01:24:03.540 events i ask that all americans recommit with their hearts in resolving our difference peacefully
01:24:09.620 we have to we have to resolve our differences i will say you had republicans democrats
01:24:16.500 independents conservatives liberals and progressives those words are interchangeable
01:24:23.140 perhaps but maybe they're not but yet everybody in that room big crowd record-setting crowd there
01:24:28.180 was a record setting group of people and there was a tremendous amount of love and coming together
01:24:36.500 i watched i watched and i was very very impressed by that but uh we were first later and i were
01:24:45.220 taken very well care very quickly very quickly rushed off the stage
01:24:51.060 vice president jd vance who's here was likewise uh beautifully done i was he was just saying how
01:24:58.820 quickly everybody acted law enforcement secret service in particular in this case but law
01:25:03.700 enforcement marco had the same thing pete was there pete didn't want any help he didn't want
01:25:08.340 anybody to help he doesn't want anybody to help him but he did get something new and i think you
01:25:14.740 also said that it was very impressive so uh with that i'd like to ask todd blanche to
01:25:20.660 come up say a few words and tell you it's already uh underway the uh the man is has been captured
01:25:28.500 They're going to his apartment. I guess he lives in California. And he's a sick person,
01:25:35.300 a very sick person. And we don't want things like this to happen. I think it's very important that 0.99
01:25:40.340 I say, though, and I told the representatives of the evening, they did such a beautiful job,
01:25:45.220 it was such a beautiful evening. And again, they're talking about free speech in our Constitution.
01:25:50.020 That's what it's all about, not just White House correspondence. It was really based on free speech
01:25:56.340 in our constitution but i said very importantly that we'll do it again within the next 30 days
01:26:03.220 and we'll make it bigger and better and even nicer so i just want to thank everybody that was
01:26:09.700 involved i also want to thank the press the media uh you've been very responsible in your coverage
01:26:15.060 i will say i've been seeing what's been out you've been very responsible so todd lynch i'd like to
01:26:19.940 say a few words i know we're going to have cash and uh then you're going to go on we can ask i
01:26:25.300 guess we could take a couple of questions uh i want to thank the first lady for that was a rather
01:26:32.020 traumatic experience for her there was a lot of action taking place up there very quickly
01:26:38.660 but again the response time was really incredible uh and we're going to reschedule we're going to
01:26:44.740 do it again we're not going to let anybody take over our society we're not going to cancel things
01:26:49.780 out because we can't do that we wanted to say tonight i will tell you i i fought like hell this
01:26:56.580 day but they uh it was protocol they said please sir because they didn't know a lot of there was a
01:27:04.020 lot of action going on and they didn't know could there be probably a lone shooter but we'll find
01:27:08.500 out we'll find out very quickly they have it very well under control so i want to thank everybody
01:27:13.140 very much. And Todd Blanche, please. Thank you very much, Mr. President.
01:27:22.600 Tonight you saw the very worst and the very best of this country. You saw the very worst by the
01:27:29.140 actions of that coward that the president just talked about. But you also saw the very best 0.98
01:27:33.760 because you saw law enforcement do exactly what they're supposed to do. And you'll see the videos
01:27:38.740 come out i expect very shortly and you'll see law enforcement do exactly what we want them to do and
01:27:44.900 so i echo what mr president president trump just said that we are extraordinarily grateful and
01:27:50.260 appreciative of the men and women of law enforcement that that did their jobs tonight
01:27:54.420 including one who was who was injured um this investigation is ongoing i expect you will see
01:28:00.260 charges filed shortly uh the charges should be self-evident given the conduct but but as you'll
01:28:06.500 hear there will be multiple charges around the shooting around the possession of firearms and
01:28:11.860 and anything else that we can get get on this guy the investigation is obviously ongoing and
01:28:18.260 just started there is federal law enforcement already working on search warrants and doing
01:28:24.820 their job and i don't want to get ahead of them and don't want to get ahead of the work that
01:28:28.740 they're doing even as we speak director patel and i were just on the crime scene a short while ago
01:28:35.060 and everybody in this room should rest assured that the metropolitan police department the fbi
01:28:39.780 secret service um everybody's on the scene doing their job um i know that the the police chief is
01:28:45.860 going to give an update from the scene as soon as we're finished here and and i obviously will
01:28:50.260 lead the lead the details of what what they have learned to him but in the meantime i just want to
01:28:56.420 thank uh thank everybody in this room for the courage i want to thank president trump for his
01:29:04.260 for his words and and i promise you justice will be served thank you thank you general thank you
01:29:12.580 mr president the president's absolutely right you saw the best resolve of american law enforcement
01:29:18.180 because you mr president inspire them 24 7 365. you give them the resources that they need and
01:29:22.980 you know they know that you have their back and that is a changing dynamic in this country and
01:29:27.300 that's why you saw brave secret service agents respond immediately swiftly subdue and take down
01:29:32.660 the suspect and safeguard the lives of thousands of individuals at that hotel thanks to our
01:29:37.540 interagency partnership with the department of homeland security and the metropolitan police
01:29:41.700 department the fbi was rapidly deployed onto the scene took over the evidence response unit
01:29:46.820 is examining all the ballistics that were found on scene to include the long gun and the shell
01:29:51.220 casings we are conducting witness interviews as we speak you will hear from our team on the scene
01:29:56.260 there with the mayor and the head of the fbi field division there but please note what the attorney
01:30:00.980 Attorney General has just said, rings no truer. You saw the very best of America tonight. The very best unite us at a time of uncertainty because we have leadership here with the president, the vice president that backs law enforcement and the men and women that I shook their hands on the scene today could not have been prouder to show up on scene. And as the Attorney General said, make no mistake, we are conducting witness interviews. If you have any information, any information whatsoever related to this event, 1-800 call FBI, 1-800 call FBI. No piece of information is too small.
01:30:30.980 no piece of information is inadequate we will evaluate it all we will also be conducting
01:30:34.900 interviews of those that were there and if any of those individuals have information please come
01:30:39.620 forward to law enforcement of the fbi of the metropolitan police department we will be
01:30:43.140 examining this individual's background thoroughly that process has already started and we are going
01:30:47.460 to ensure that he was either a lone wolf actor or anyone else that was responsible we will analyze
01:30:52.660 all evidence immediately to make sure that we safeguard this country mr president mr vice
01:30:57.300 president thank you for your leadership attorney general and homeland secretary mullin thank you
01:31:00.900 for your partnership in law enforcement thank you okay we'll do a couple and then we go to the
01:31:07.860 madam chairman oh i just want to say you did a fantastic job
01:31:12.100 what a beautiful evening and we're going to reschedule
01:31:18.820 after that it's very tough for her to ask a killer question right
01:31:22.340 but you have done a fantastic job please mr president i appreciate it um as you mentioned
01:31:27.540 it all happened so quickly and i wonder especially because unfortunately you have experience with
01:31:36.580 these sorts of threats in that moment when you realized there was a threat
01:31:42.900 were telling us to get down can you describe um what was going through your mind how you were
01:31:48.980 feeling in that moment that's very good question actually it was uh it's always shocking when
01:31:54.420 something like this happens happened to me a little bit and uh that never changes the
01:32:02.260 fact we were sitting right next to each other first lady am i right and i heard a noise and
01:32:08.820 sort of thought it was a tray i thought it was a tray going down i've heard that many times and
01:32:14.900 it was pretty loud noise and it was from quite far away he hadn't breached the area at all they
01:32:21.220 really got him but uh so it was quite far away but it was a gun and some people really understood
01:32:29.620 that pretty quickly other people didn't i was watching to see what was happening probably
01:32:34.900 should have gone down even faster melania was very cognizant i think of what happened i think she knew
01:32:42.340 immediately what happened she was saying that's a bad noise and uh we were whisked away along with
01:32:52.660 other people but we were really whisked away and again the performance of the secret service and
01:32:57.380 the police all of the law enforcement i thought it was really good so it was very quick there was a
01:33:02.500 lot of time to be thinking because it was a matter of seconds before we were out the door and gone
01:33:08.020 into an area we very much and you wanted to too we very much wanted to continue it because i don't
01:33:14.420 like to let these sick people these thugs these horrible horrible people change the
01:33:20.500 fabric of our life change the course of what we do so we hold held out you were there we held 0.97
01:33:25.940 out right till the end but they didn't want to take a chance and i understand it was protocol
01:33:30.820 but uh we're going to be doing one hopefully within the next 30 days or sooner and
01:33:34.900 and I am ready, willing, and able.
01:33:37.280 And I was all set to really rip it.
01:33:41.320 And I said to my people,
01:33:42.780 this would be the most inappropriate speech ever made
01:33:45.360 if I said, so I'll have to save it.
01:33:47.560 I don't know if I could ever be as rough
01:33:49.980 as I was gonna be tonight.
01:33:51.180 I think I'm gonna be probably very nice.
01:33:53.020 I'll be very boring the next time,
01:33:54.660 but we're gonna have a great event.
01:33:56.000 And you did a fantastic job.
01:33:57.840 Thank you very much.
01:33:58.680 Peter, go ahead.
01:33:59.840 Thank you, President Trump.
01:34:01.140 There's a report in the New York Post
01:34:02.900 this assailant assembled his weapon somewhere on site at the hotel what do you think about that
01:34:11.060 and i ask respectfully why do you think this keeps happening to you well you know
01:34:20.900 i've studied assassinations it's because i must tell you the most impactful people the people
01:34:28.420 that do the most you take a look at the people abraham lincoln i mean you go through the people
01:34:33.940 that have gone through this where they got them happening to you well you know i've studied
01:34:42.500 assassinations oh wait what and i must tell you the most impactful people the people that do the
01:34:49.860 most you take a look at the people abraham lincoln i mean you go through the people that have
01:34:56.180 gone through this where they got them but the people that do the most the people that make
01:35:02.900 the biggest impact they're the ones that they go after they don't go after the ones that don't do
01:35:07.620 much because yeah that way which in the matrix and when you look at the people that have
01:35:13.700 either whether it was an attempt or a successful attempt they're very impactful people just take
01:35:20.260 a look at the names here the big names and uh i hate to say i'm honored by that but i've done a
01:35:27.620 lot we've done a lot we have we've taken this country and we were a laughing stock for years
01:35:33.860 and now we're the hottest country anywhere in the world we've changed this country that was
01:35:37.780 weird a lot of people that are not happy about that no i didn't realize your team for a while
01:35:45.300 rethought outdoor events yeah which in the movie guys rethink no well then you just don't do events
01:35:51.380 now i can't do that i have to what it you know it is what it is we have to do it uh the room was
01:35:56.740 very very secure you know he charged from 50 yards away so he was very far away from the room and
01:36:02.420 what do you think when you saw the video of how fast he was running he was moving he was really
01:36:07.220 moving and the reaction was great boy those guys they had their guns drawn literally by the time
01:36:13.380 he was there they were shooting that's right they were i thought they were very impressive
01:36:17.620 i thought they were very impressive and if i didn't i'd let you know you know
01:36:21.540 i'm not going to be i would not stand for that no i thought they were very impressive
01:36:26.980 thank you for updating us on the suspect earlier were you aware of any threats were your team
01:36:33.060 aware of any threats beforehand and do you believe you were the target of this tonight 0.94
01:36:36.900 i guess i mean these people are they're crazy they're crazy and you know you never know 0.89
01:36:42.260 he was very far away from me. He had to go through a lot. We had resources all over. We had 0.93
01:36:48.980 resources sitting at tables, literally in disguise, sitting maybe at your table. Who knows? But we had
01:36:55.940 people all over the room, so he had a long way to go. That was really a first line of defense,
01:37:00.660 and they got him. And they really, you know, they acted incredibly. No, we've had no,
01:37:06.980 there was no notification. We had no idea. Go ahead.
01:37:09.380 have any political motivations from this well you never know now we'll be able to tell you that
01:37:14.420 maybe by tomorrow or the next day you know he's in custody and uh they're asking him a lot of
01:37:19.700 questions i guess they're going over todd and they're they're already at his apartment he lives
01:37:24.180 in california yes sir and they'll be they're over there so they'll be able to tell you thank you
01:37:32.500 did the suspect say anything or was he wearing anything that would
01:37:36.980 alleged some type of motive here nothing no i mean he was uh a guy who looked pretty evil when
01:37:43.860 he was down you know they had him down he was fighting hard he was a hobby in my opinion a
01:37:49.220 sick person who would do that but a sick person but i think you're going to find everything about
01:37:53.700 him no reason to talk about it now but tomorrow at this time long before this time you're going to
01:37:58.020 know a lot of things about him he was a they seemed to think he was a lone wolf and i feel
01:38:04.020 that too. Are you concerned about U.S. Secret Service protection ability? We saw several of
01:38:08.900 the detailees take minutes to be escorted out of the room. No, they acted very quickly. No, 1.00
01:38:13.940 I was very impressed by Secret Service. I mean, I'm the one, and Mark, when you would agree with
01:38:18.500 that, I think, I'm the one that would complain. You don't have to complain for me. I would be
01:38:23.940 complaining. I'd be up here right now saying they didn't do their job. Believe me, because,
01:38:28.260 you know, it's my life and I want to live because I want to make this country great. That's why I
01:38:33.220 want to live but when you're impactful they go after you when you're not impactful they leave
01:38:37.940 you alone okay a couple of a couple of more a couple of more terrible is there any indication
01:38:43.940 that this um this uh uh shooting this could have been linked to the war uh in iran i i don't think
01:38:51.620 so but you never know we're gonna know a lot well uh we have the best people in the world working
01:38:56.740 on it. And we're going to know a lot. Please.
01:38:58.920 Mr. President, there's a lot. There's you, as well as some of us who have covered Butler,
01:39:05.500 experienced another horrific day two years ago.
01:39:08.760 Yeah.
01:39:09.860 What's what felt similar? You know, you had the first lady with you today. What felt 1.00
01:39:14.000 different? And you have another two plus years in office. Are you concerned about something
01:39:19.080 like this?
01:39:19.740 Well, I can't be concerned. I can only get great people. They did the job, a much in
01:39:25.040 in my opinion, a much better job than Butler.
01:39:27.000 Butler had one weak spot that we all know about.
01:39:29.720 Somebody should have been up there.
01:39:30.860 But even Butler, we had our sniper,
01:39:35.600 sniper on our side, within 4.2 seconds
01:39:38.900 from a distance of about 400 yards,
01:39:43.880 one shot, and he was gone.
01:39:48.180 And if he didn't do it now, you know, he's David.
01:39:50.780 His name was David.
01:39:51.820 I say, hello, David, every time I see him.
01:39:54.380 David, I like you very much, David.
01:39:56.880 But think of that.
01:39:58.020 Now, if he doesn't hit him, and he hit him right between the eyes from 400 yards without any notice, nobody knew.
01:40:05.320 He heard a sound.
01:40:06.940 He looked over, and there was actually a tree that was somewhat in his way.
01:40:10.080 You know the story very well.
01:40:12.200 He aimed.
01:40:13.120 He fired.
01:40:14.560 And if he didn't do that, beyond me, it would have had a lot more people killed.
01:40:18.400 We lost one great person and two people very badly hurt.
01:40:21.960 They're okay now.
01:40:22.620 But no, that was, so in a sense, you know, they, that was pretty amazing, the job they did, but, but, but they did have that one weak spot, as you know, they should have had that covered. Tonight, they had everything covered very quickly. And he was fast. He was running full blast and they got him before they got any further. I was very far away. You know, he was, he hadn't anywhere close to breach the doors of the ballroom. The ballroom was sealed and everybody in there.
01:40:50.940 And that's why once those doors opened, they didn't want to do tonight.
01:40:54.400 If the doors weren't opened, we could have probably done it tonight.
01:40:57.120 But I think we're much better off rescheduling.
01:40:59.580 Yeah, please.
01:41:00.380 Mr. President, for you and perhaps law enforcement as well, what is the level of confidence that this was a lone actor?
01:41:08.040 And has the suspect made any statements to police while in custody?
01:41:11.620 I think it's just my look at some of my profession.
01:41:14.860 We have great professionals up here and outside that have been working with us.
01:41:18.120 my impression is he was a lone wolf, whack job. These are crazy people. These are crazy people 0.99
01:41:26.400 and they have to be dealt with. We had that in the second attempt, as you know, and he's spending
01:41:33.020 life in prison because if you let him out, they'll probably, you know, if he serves 10 years or 15
01:41:39.040 years, you let him out, he'll probably try it again with somebody else. They're sick people. 0.99
01:41:43.520 We have a lot of sick people. 0.95
01:41:45.320 But you're going to know, I think very shortly, you're going to know, Todd, a lot about him.
01:41:51.660 You're going to know a lot about him.
01:41:52.780 Yeah, a couple of more.
01:41:57.600 Yeah, please, go ahead.
01:41:58.860 Are you concerned about political violence?
01:42:01.380 This could be politically motivated.
01:42:03.200 All violence.
01:42:03.940 I'm concerned about everything.
01:42:05.040 But I can't be so concerned that you can't function.
01:42:09.140 No, I'm here.
01:42:10.640 It's a dangerous profession.
01:42:12.840 You know, I tell the story, race car drivers, I think it's very dangerous.
01:42:17.400 So if you take 1% and then take about 10% of 1%, just to break it down very easily,
01:42:26.520 they die. So much less than 1%, 10% of 1%. I think bull riding is very dangerous. If you take
01:42:34.680 about the same 10% of 1%, much less than 1%. But if you take presidents, it's 5.8%.
01:42:41.400 percent and about eight percent are shot at so nobody told me this was such a dangerous
01:42:51.880 profession if marco would have told me maybe i wouldn't have run maybe i would have said i'll
01:42:56.600 take a pass no it's a dangerous profession but i don't view it that way look i'm here to do a job
01:43:02.600 uh as part of the job it is a dangerous it's i can't imagine that there's any profession that's
01:43:08.840 more dangerous. But I love the country, and I'm very proud. I'm very proud of the job we've done.
01:43:13.640 You see what's happened. We have a great country. We've got, I think, the most successful, the
01:43:18.040 hottest country anywhere in the world. This happened over a period of just a year, and we're
01:43:23.480 going to do great things. But with that come risks. There's no question about it. Yeah.
01:43:30.280 I mean, there's been so much political violence, not just aimed at yourself, but at other members
01:43:33.880 members of Congress, State House speakers, you name it.
01:43:37.880 Is that just the cost of doing business to do politics
01:43:40.880 in America anymore?
01:43:41.880 What else do you say about our country?
01:43:43.880 We're not the only country.
01:43:44.880 You look at this great violence with all countries. 0.88
01:43:46.880 I was talking to somebody from another country today,
01:43:51.880 and they have numerous assassinations of political figures
01:43:56.880 all over the world.
01:43:57.880 You look at South America and South America,
01:43:59.880 some of the numbers are just horrific.
01:44:02.880 It's dangerous. It's dangerous stuff, whether it's here or someplace else.
01:44:06.620 No country is immune. No country. Good question.
01:44:09.760 Will it be possible to turn that temperature down at this point?
01:44:12.400 Well, probably if I decided to just not do much, you know, if I let everybody rip us off and take advantage of us.
01:44:21.120 Look, we're leading the world in trade now. We're leading the world in the military.
01:44:25.040 We're the greatest military in the world. I rebuilt it in my first term, and now we use it because we have no choice.
01:44:30.640 we can't let, as an example, Iran, we can't let them get a nuclear weapon. Everything will be 0.97
01:44:36.380 peanuts compared to that if they ever were given a nuclear weapon. And they'd use it too. Marco and
01:44:42.120 I were talking about it today. They would use it without even hesitation. We can't do that.
01:44:46.780 It was a shame. I said, oh boy, look at the numbers. We just broke 50,000 in the Dow. We
01:44:51.460 just broke 7,000 in the S&P. They said we couldn't do it in seven years, five years,
01:44:56.660 four years they were saying maybe in five or six years and we did it in one year and i called
01:45:02.980 everybody together i called all of these people and others and i said we have to take a little
01:45:09.220 journey i seek to do this we just had the great number we just broke 50 000 wasn't supposed to
01:45:14.180 happen during my term wasn't reachable did it in one year and i said we're gonna have to make a 0.76
01:45:20.900 journey to iran they they're gonna have a nuclear weapon if we don't do it we had the b2 bombers
01:45:25.460 take them out i terminated in the first term the obama agreement the iran nuclear agreement which 0.82
01:45:32.260 was a disaster that was a road to a nuclear weapon they would have used it they would have used it
01:45:35.940 a hundred percent so you know when you do things like that you become a target if i wasn't doing
01:45:41.220 that i guess i'd be a lot less of a target but i'm honored to be okay one more question
01:45:45.780 Go ahead.
01:45:52.780 Thank you, President Trump.
01:45:54.780 Thank you, President Trump.
01:45:55.780 Did you know how the gun was brought into the hotel?
01:45:58.780 And also, how does this event impact you as the leader of our country?
01:46:02.780 Do you think it will change?
01:46:03.780 I like not to think about it.
01:46:06.780 I lead a pretty normal life, considering, you know, it's a dangerous life.
01:46:11.780 I think I handle it as well as it can be handled.
01:46:14.780 I think a lot of other people, you know, you read stories where they become basket cases, to be honest with you.
01:46:19.720 I'm not a basket case. I take is really take it as it is.
01:46:24.180 I do it for the country. I'm not doing it for any other reason.
01:46:26.860 I have a first lady who's doing a terrific job. She loves the country.
01:46:30.720 And she recognizes it better than anybody.
01:46:34.400 She's told me numerous times, you are in a dangerous job.
01:46:38.860 But that goes along with her, too. I mean, it's dangerous for her, too.
01:46:42.100 We sat there tonight, we heard that noise, and it was either a tray or a bullet.
01:46:48.740 I was hoping it was a tray, but it wasn't.
01:46:52.140 And again, we had some very brave people doing a great job, so we're very proud of them and happy with them.
01:46:58.380 I just want to thank everybody.
01:47:00.220 They will be able to give you all that information as to the names and everything else.
01:47:06.440 I think we released the names already.
01:47:08.120 Most of you would have it, but his name.
01:47:12.100 We appreciate it.
01:47:13.440 I see so many tuxedos and beautiful dresses.
01:47:16.400 It was a little different evening than we thought,
01:47:18.340 but we're gonna do it again and we're gonna,
01:47:21.140 we have a great chairman who we're so proud of
01:47:23.780 and we have to make it better.
01:47:27.220 We'll make it safer, I guess, right?
01:47:29.180 But we're gonna make it even better.
01:47:30.360 Okay, thank you very much.
01:47:31.580 Thank you.
01:47:37.420 Well, honey, would you wanna say something?
01:47:39.260 Okay.
01:47:42.100 What are the messages that you want to give to the world that this should change?
01:47:57.780 What corrective measures can we take from here on?
01:48:01.420 Well, all you can do, look, I don't care how many people you have, how good they are.
01:48:06.760 They can be the greatest people, you have the greatest security in history.
01:48:11.180 you have a whack job that's got a brain but it's a little bit distorted or a lot distorted
01:48:16.260 they can make trouble i would say pete right you know they can make trouble some of these people 0.98
01:48:22.680 are of genius level iq and they're nuts so it can be trouble so you do absolutely the best you get
01:48:32.160 the best we have the best people well look it it was proven tonight he he started running from
01:48:37.300 50 yards and he was fast he was like a blur on tape he was moving they turned it was very
01:48:45.160 impressive the way they got him because a lot of people would be looking and saying you know
01:48:49.760 it's like a weird feeling and they would let him get through but they didn't let him get through
01:48:56.140 they they drew those guns so fast looked like they look like matt dillon they look like somebody that
01:49:03.080 what they were doing and we really do but it comes with the territory and if you want to do
01:49:07.960 a great job i really believe that and i you take a look at what's happened to some of our greatest
01:49:13.320 presidents and it doesn't happen to people that don't do anything and it's not going to deter me
01:49:20.120 from winning the war in iran i don't know if that had anything to do with i really don't think so
01:49:27.240 based on what we know but uh we're going to continue to do a great job that's all i can do
01:49:33.080 thank you very much you've been listening to the president of the united wow okay guys so um
01:49:50.120 for those who are you know tuning in um who haven't watched before guys so there there's
01:49:56.200 a reason that i'm giggling it's because you know the the iran revolution live
01:50:01.880 gang they're all here and they're just they're they're they're making all these inside jokes
01:50:07.720 like the hussein comment and that that's why i'm giggling i'm giggling because of you know the the
01:50:14.520 iran stuff and you guys are terrible in the chat you guys are don't make me play the hussein video
01:50:20.840 because then then we'll traumatize all the new people anyways here's the video here's the video
01:50:26.280 guys. Look at that. Let me, let me get the actual video here. I think president Trump posted it
01:50:34.600 on his truth social. Yeah. So here we go. Here we go, guys. Look at this. We'll go back to Fox
01:50:45.160 news in a moment, but, um, yeah, put my flag on so everyone knows. No, guys, guys, this is the
01:50:56.140 Goldie show. This is an Iran revolution live. Oh my gosh. But all, all the inside jokes, guys, 0.81
01:51:04.080 don't make me play the Hossein video. I will, because then that'll, that'll traumatize everyone. 0.79
01:51:08.700 Okay. Here's, here's the video that president Trump is talking about that they're playing on
01:51:13.560 Fox News, okay? So President Trump posted this on his truth social. Like, this is crazy. Look at
01:51:19.560 this. Shit. Do you see how fast he just went through? 1.00
01:51:43.560 Look at that. Look, look, look how fast he comes through. So guys, he starts here. Okay.
01:51:50.060 He literally just like comes here and he just like, well, he just runs through. Look at this.
01:51:56.420 So it's around the, um, where is he?
01:52:06.180 Right. So there, there you go. So you can see like the little black dock, like dot,
01:52:11.760 a dot there or whatever. And then he just like, he speeds through, like, it's crazy. Look at this.
01:52:19.620 It's like, it's like he had training and he knew exactly where to go. And then,
01:52:23.720 but of course, thank God, secret service got it. Right.
01:52:34.600 And then that's when the shooting happened. So that's the first video that president Trump
01:52:41.020 posted. Insane. And then look at this. This is the guy. This is the guy.
01:52:49.620 This is the insane, like, jihadi. Sorry. Oh, my gosh. Not jihadi. Oh, my gosh, guys. Sorry. 1.00
01:52:57.480 I missed. Sorry. No, he's not a jihadi. That was a misspeak. Just muscle memory, muscle memory,
01:53:06.680 um just because i'm used to covering the iran revolution right so no he's not an insane jihadi
01:53:14.860 he's a leftist he's a leftist he's not a jihadi sorry guys i mean he could be we don't know we
01:53:20.980 don't know but guys for for my regular viewers for the regular viewers it's because i usually
01:53:27.680 focus on on iran and islamic terrorism right so but but this is this is the leftist freak
01:53:34.540 I don't know if he's Durka. No, he's Durka not confirmed. Durka not confirmed. Wow.
01:53:46.640 Wow. This is him. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Oh, look. Okay. Fox news is now sharing it
01:53:54.540 sort of crashed when they heard what may have been the shots being fired. The president said
01:53:59.180 at first he thought it was a tray. There was something far away. He wasn't exactly sure,
01:54:03.580 But this is just incredible, Kevin, this picture of this suspect, the face here.
01:54:08.620 Again, we're not releasing a name at this time.
01:54:11.180 The president has said he's from California.
01:54:14.100 He's in custody right now.
01:54:15.960 This investigation is in the very early stages right now.
01:54:20.500 And the FBI Director Cash Patel, you know, also said tonight we saw the very best of the Secret Service.
01:54:27.160 The law enforcement, he said, also knows that the president has their back.
01:54:31.740 Kevin.
01:54:31.920 Such an important comment.
01:54:33.580 Okay. So now that we know that this is what this dude looks like, I'm going to share the post that
01:54:40.840 one of our viewers, Eli, um, sent to me a little while ago. This is before it was like verified
01:54:47.300 or confirmed. So, um, where is it? I just had it here. Where did I put it? What?
01:54:57.800 It just, it just had it. Where'd it go?
01:55:03.580 Sorry, give me a moment here. Let me go back and find it again. I thought I had it. Where is this post? Eli gave me this link. Where is the link, Eli?
01:55:21.440 Oh my gosh, you want to see what Moran Bacy has to say about this? That's not going to happen.
01:55:36.480 That's not how this works. Okay, guys, so this is...
01:55:42.760 Let me just move this here. Okay.
01:55:47.880 Okay. So this is apparently the shooter. This is the link that Eli sent me. So apparently,
01:56:00.860 I mean, unconfirmed, but I mean, it kind of does look like him, right? It kind of does,
01:56:07.660 does look like him. So apparently he was a teacher of the month or something in California.
01:56:13.920 so yeah he was he was teacher of the month in december 2024 yeah
01:56:22.400 yeah this is this is the weirdo this is the weirdo um okay let's go back oh wait
01:56:30.480 sorry guys return safely to the white house as you know we are so very thankful to members
01:56:39.900 of law enforcement who did their jobs tonight and made sure that all guests were safe.
01:56:47.720 We have no reason to believe at this time that anyone else was involved. I want to turn to
01:56:54.720 the chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, Chief Carroll, to provide a law enforcement
01:57:00.900 update and specifics. Thank you, Madam Mayor. Again, I'm Jeff Carroll, interim chief of police
01:57:09.140 the Metropolitan Police Department. This afternoon, this evening, members of the United
01:57:13.380 States Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department were here at the Washington Hotel
01:57:18.020 for a site detail for the Correspondence Center. As the mayor mentioned, at approximately 8.36
01:57:24.360 tonight, an individual charged a U.S. Secret Service checkpoint here in the lobby area of
01:57:30.140 the hotel. He was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. As he ran through that
01:57:36.960 Checkpoint members of law enforcement from the United States Secret Service intercepted that
01:57:41.020 individual. This is a very preliminary investigation at this point. We do know that
01:57:46.300 law enforcement exchanged gunfire with the individual. We do know that a U.S. Secret
01:57:51.080 Service Unicorn Division officer was struck in his vest. He was transported to a local hospital
01:57:56.940 for treatment. He seems to be in good spirits at this time. The suspect in this case, he was not
01:58:02.980 struck by gunfire. However, he was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated. Again,
01:58:09.300 we're very early in the investigation. We have members of the United States Secret Service,
01:58:12.940 the Metropolitan Police Department, and the FBI here to continue to investigate this matter.
01:58:17.920 But at this point, it does appear he is a lone actor, a lone gunman that does not appear to be
01:58:22.640 any sort of danger to the public at this time. However, we are continuing to investigate this
01:58:28.040 matter. At this point, I will turn it over to, I believe, the FBI.
01:58:36.040 Hi, good evening. I'm Darren Cox, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington
01:58:41.200 Field Office. The American public should be proud of the quick response and heroic actions
01:58:47.280 from law enforcement officers tonight to keep the American public safe. Their actions are
01:58:52.620 absolutely heroic the public should also rest assured that there will be no stone unturned
01:58:59.500 during this investigation the fbi currently has our joint terrorism task force here on scene
01:59:06.620 along with our criminal division our crisis response team and agents from across the country
01:59:13.820 are working on any leads that may come in in this investigation anyone with tips in this
01:59:19.580 investigation should call 1-800-CALL-FBI. Thank you.
01:59:27.260 Director, Director Kern. Thank you. My name is Sean Kern, the Director of the Secret Service.
01:59:33.900 Tonight we saw exactly what our brave men and women do each and every day to protect our
01:59:39.420 protectees. It's not easy and I will tell you that they performed admirably. We got to see what they
01:59:46.380 do and that individual who charged a checkpoint was apprehended it shows that our multi-layered
01:59:53.020 protection works and i'm grateful to our partners that help assist us with building
01:59:57.820 these sites and protecting these sites very fortunate that this officer is alive
02:00:06.620 is being observed and i'm grateful that the president reached out to this officer and
02:00:11.100 spoke with him earlier i ask everybody to pray for him and all of our officers and agents that
02:00:15.580 were involved and i will tell you we will continue with the mission thank you thank you judge piero
02:00:27.660 i'm janine fear i'm the united states attorney right now the defendant is being charged with
02:00:33.260 two counts 924c using a firearm during a crime of violence and a second crime under 111 which is
02:00:42.780 assault on a federal officer using a dangerous weapon now as you all know there was an individual
02:00:50.220 a uniformed secret service officer who was shot and fortunately uh he is doing all right and he
02:00:57.180 will be fine but it is clear based upon what we know so far that this individual was intent on
02:01:04.540 doing as much harm and as much damage as he could and thankfully because of the checkpoint right
02:01:11.100 outside the ballroom where thousands of people were situated to hear the president of the United
02:01:16.600 States. Because that checkpoint worked, there was no one who was injured when it was clear
02:01:23.000 where this defendant was going. Now, I want to make one comment. As a participant, someone who
02:01:31.560 was in the ballroom, who came this evening to be part of a very lovely event at the White House
02:01:37.340 Correspondents Dinner. I, for the first time, was in a situation where there were shots fired,
02:01:45.420 shots heard, and a whole room went silent. When I lifted my head and when I looked up,
02:01:53.900 every law enforcement officer was out there as we all had our heads down, thousands of them.
02:02:01.220 These are the men and women every day who do what they do silently, and they do it with courage and with dignity.
02:02:10.880 Thank God for our partners, the FBI, the Secret Service, the Metropolitan Police.
02:02:17.600 All of them tonight acted so quickly that they prevented what could have been a horrific event where we were all sitting there in one room.
02:02:29.380 the defendant will be arraigned on monday in federal district court
02:02:34.900 police department along with the escort the inside portion of any presidential site is handled by the
02:02:49.520 secret service and law enforcement partners this is a multi-layer approach the point of this
02:02:53.680 checkpoint is to intercept individuals that were there and what we see in this case is
02:02:57.120 When he reached that checkpoint, Secret Service agents and law enforcement engaged him immediately.
02:03:01.820 They were able to bring him into custody and prevent anyone from being harmed.
02:03:05.060 Chief Carroll, can you tell us if you found a vehicle associated with the suspect?
02:03:11.540 And are you and the FBI conducting any search warrants either on a vehicle or locations here or elsewhere around the country?
02:03:17.640 Sure, Mark. So as you can imagine, this is very early in the investigation.
02:03:20.880 So, you know, things we're digging into is his background, vehicles.
02:03:23.160 Those are all things that the FBI, the Metropolitan Police Department, and the Secret Service are working together, joining to determine, is there anything else that's available?
02:03:30.260 So I would imagine as we continue to go through this investigation, there will be additional search warrants and things of that nature as the investigation progresses.
02:03:36.780 Is he suspecting under law enforcement?
02:03:38.880 At this point, he was not known to the Metropolitan Police Department, I can tell you that.
02:03:42.600 Right here, there are multiple other parties and events happening associated with this weekend and tonight.
02:03:48.040 Is there any reason to believe that there will be security concerns at those events?
02:03:51.320 Are there preparations being made?
02:03:53.160 globally to protect those? Absolutely not. So we have no indication. This is an isolated incident
02:03:58.500 with one individual is the information that we do have. However, we do have additional officers
02:04:02.500 across the city that are giving special attention. We do know there were some after parties and
02:04:06.960 events that are planned that we would be providing coverage for those events.
02:04:10.000 The president said that this is not a particularly secure building. Do you agree with that, Cecil?
02:04:16.720 I'm not exactly 100% familiar with this building. I do know in this incident tonight, I know there
02:04:21.640 security plan that was developed by the secret service of the metropolitan police department
02:04:25.240 assisted with and i know that security plan did work this evening right here thank you so much
02:04:30.040 do you know specifically if president trapped with a target attack and can you speak to their
02:04:35.800 reporting about the uh the the suspect assembling a long weapon uh to get into the ballroom yes as
02:04:45.800 we said before we do know the president was inside the ballroom we know there was cabinet
02:04:49.160 the murders and many guests in there. Who specifically he was targeting at this point,
02:04:52.640 that's probably part of the investigation. We do know that he was armed with a shotgun when he ran
02:04:57.260 through that checkpoint. So that would look like a long weapon in video. All right, right here,
02:05:01.320 right here. Should we clarify earlier, you said there was an exchange of them, did the suspect
02:05:05.780 fire any shots and did the uniformed officer, do you know yet which weapon he was shot?
02:05:12.720 Yeah, obviously we're only a couple hours into this instance, so we don't have that level of
02:05:15.920 information. The FBI's evidence response team is here. They're processing the scene. So as the
02:05:20.760 investigation develops, all that information will be figured out with the ballistics. The ATF is also
02:05:25.100 on scene here with us. So the suspect did or did not fire a shot. Sure. So again, it's very preliminary information. We do believe he did. However, as the investigation determines, we'll pull the Michelle
02:05:33.900 case, since we'll be able to get more information as we review more evidence. We're very early in the investigation. All right. We can take a couple more right here and right here and one more over here. Thank you so much. So the president said that he wants
02:05:45.560 there to be another event within 30 days given what happened tonight do you have any sense of
02:05:50.520 what additional security measures might be put in place to ensure that something similar does
02:05:55.480 not happen again sure i'll talk to the secret service yep this is what we plan for every day
02:06:02.040 so we we take each and every case uh and we evaluate it and we do site assessments and
02:06:07.640 that's why we go out and and build these sites for for what the event is and that's that's how
02:06:14.120 we go about our business so will there be any changes or added measures given that this did
02:06:19.000 happen we're going to have to evaluate uh this evening thank you how the suspect got into the
02:06:25.800 hotel was it a guest here are you searching on here um so preliminary information we do believe
02:06:33.000 he was a guest here at the hotel we have secured a room here in the hotel and again we'll go through
02:06:37.320 the appropriate procedures to to determine what was the side there but that is secured
02:06:41.160 At this point, like I said, we believe he is the only suspect in this case.
02:06:45.160 Okay, to jump on that question, I understand the multi-approach to security, but to walk in with a weapon of that caliber and get all the way to the bottom, which is on the lower level, seems to be quite an extraordinary feat. How does that happen?
02:06:58.160 Sure, so again, I mean, we're very early in the investigation, so we'll have to determine, you know, we'll go through video across the hotel to figure out how the gun got in, how it got down here.
02:07:06.160 Those things will come through the investigation. At this point, we don't have that level of detail.
02:07:10.160 okay last one yes there appears to show video appears to show the president falling down
02:07:19.920 no we don't have any information that he was injured
02:07:25.200 could you clarify how he was detained if he was not shot could you clarify how he was detained
02:07:30.240 sure so law enforcement law enforcement in the in right here in this very area they actually
02:07:35.200 Tapped him to the ground and handcuffed him. Can you release his name? Can you miss his name?
02:07:40.080 Not at this time. We will release his name, Mark, once we have all that information. Again,
02:07:43.360 we're still running a lot of things down. How many people in the hospital? In the hospital?
02:07:48.240 So we have the Uniform Division Secret Service officer who's being evaluated at the hospital,
02:07:52.080 who took a round to the vest, and the suspect is being evaluated,
02:07:55.360 but he was not struck by gunfire. Mr. Pierre, are you looking at any terrorism charges?
02:07:59.520 well as the chief just indicated we're very early in this investigation but make no mistake if there
02:08:06.640 is anything like that we will find it and we will file it thank you thank you thank you thank you
02:08:14.320 a very very important news conference right there alicia as we watch this all unfold we know a couple
02:08:24.480 things stand out to me, and you can jump in at any point. We understand that the gunman was
02:08:29.580 apparently a guest at the hotel and was also not struck by gunfire, which I thought was interesting.
02:08:36.060 What did you take from the news conference? Yeah, the fact that the suspect was a guest at the hotel
02:08:42.980 answers some questions that I think a lot of people had initially was, how did this person
02:08:47.580 get past the perimeter when it sounds like, according to the acting chief of the interim
02:08:52.800 chief of police for the District of Columbia. He was there the whole time. And they did not give a
02:08:59.240 name at this point. This is the picture that was shared with the public by the president on social
02:09:04.400 media. But that's a chilling idea. It's like we planned this out. According to authorities, he was
02:09:09.720 in there the whole time. The U.S. attorney, Jeanine Pirro, saying that at this point, the suspect has
02:09:15.940 been charged with two counts of weapons possession and also assault using a firearm, and he's
02:09:23.360 expected to be in federal court on Monday. Kevin. Let's bring in the senior White House
02:09:30.360 correspondent and rotating host of the Sunday briefing, Jackie Heinrich, who was on the dais
02:09:34.860 tonight when everything was unfolding. Jackie, very interesting and riveting news conference
02:09:40.940 that we were just watching there, including our former colleague, Judge Jeanine Ferro,
02:09:45.020 who's now the U.S. attorney for the district. What else can you share tonight? You are literally
02:09:51.120 right there. Guys, can I just say it's hilarious how they're all in their evening gowns.
02:09:56.000 It's like James Bond movie. That's right. I was next to the vice president when all this happened.
02:10:03.140 We were seated on stage, and from where we were sitting, looking out at the crowd,
02:10:08.400 we just saw Secret Service agents rushing toward us. When the agents came out from behind us onto
02:10:16.040 the stage and it became clear that this was a security situation, we got down onto the ground.
02:10:20.660 I was down on the ground right behind the little curtain on top of our tables,
02:10:26.940 hiding for a little while until Secret Service allowed me to crawl behind the stage into the
02:10:34.880 hold, which was just adjacent to where the vice president and the president were being held.
02:10:38.400 We were receiving updates from Secret Service on what was happening.
02:10:43.200 It was unclear at that point if there was a threat still in the room.
02:10:48.540 The scariest part for me was when I was still lying on the stage
02:10:51.540 and there were agents, armed agents, with their guns drawn,
02:10:56.500 scanning the crowd, talking to each other and saying,
02:10:59.100 are you tracking that? Are you seeing anything?
02:11:00.700 And they were saying no.
02:11:02.280 And at that point, we didn't know if there was a threat still out there.
02:11:05.540 And it was, you know, you're wondering, do I move?
02:11:08.060 do I crawl behind the stage right now while they don't see anything? When it became clear that they
02:11:13.240 were still, you know, moving around and starting to release our area a little bit, that we could
02:11:19.800 crawl behind the stage, I went back there and got a better word from the detail. And they said that
02:11:25.480 a gunman had tried to come in from outside the secure perimeter, that they were scanning the
02:11:30.920 room for any, you know, other threats. They didn't think that there were any. And that the president,
02:11:34.620 this is what really stood out to me, the president, from the very minute this happened,
02:11:38.060 said that he wanted the show to go on and so we stayed back there for some time
02:11:42.460 while secret service did its job to clear the area and figure out you know the extent of this
02:11:47.580 and some time passed almost an hour and there were hotel staff being told get the plates ready
02:11:54.860 get the head table sorted fix the curtain that got messed up on the front of the table
02:11:59.500 until the decision was made by law enforcement that they should follow protocol and do this
02:12:04.540 another time. But listening to what was happening on the other side of all of that and seeing the
02:12:09.860 person who was responsible for it is really something. It is not how we expected this
02:12:14.760 night to go. It speaks to just the risks that, you know, we face today, bringing crowds together,
02:12:21.420 the sort of heightened political tension and, you know, sad that this night could not carry on.
02:12:28.300 But I thought the president's remarks were fitting that, you know, everyone in that moment was
02:12:34.660 together and that it speaks to the importance of the First Amendment and, you know, the rights that
02:12:41.080 we have as a country. Yeah, Jackie, it's Alicia. And also the president even said tonight, he said
02:12:47.260 he was going to really let it rip. And then he realized if he would have gone back on stage that
02:12:50.940 he probably wouldn't have been appropriate because he also was grateful for the journalists there.
02:12:55.540 and everyone in the room seemed to be grateful for each other. And we are so glad to see that
02:12:59.480 you are safe. Hearing your story really is just harrowing. I can't even imagine being there.
02:13:04.620 One of the reporters in the news conference we heard with law enforcement did ask,
02:13:09.140 did the Secret Service fail? And I believe it was a police chief pointed out, well,
02:13:13.720 this was a multi-layered security situation here. And that's exactly what we saw in action.
02:13:19.900 But just like, as you know, with Putler, Pennsylvania, the actions of the Secret
02:13:23.740 service will be kind of peeled apart they will be looked at layer by layer what happened how did
02:13:30.400 this person get into the hotel managed to get the weapons in the hotel and stay in the hotel as well
02:13:36.720 and the president was very complimentary especially and he talked to the agent in particular who took
02:13:40.980 the bullet um into that bulletproof vest what are your thoughts on that is this investigation is just
02:13:45.640 getting underway well in the in the moment the mayhem in the crowd was really from secret service
02:13:51.480 trying to scan for any additional threats. And it was unclear to us while that was going on if
02:13:57.080 there was a threat in the room. That was what was scary for us. But we learned very quickly that
02:14:01.480 this happened outside the secure perimeter and that there was never a threat in the room. We did
02:14:07.320 hear some noise. From my vantage point, it sounded like plates clanging. It wasn't clear what it was
02:14:16.900 had happened outside the secure perimeter. When the president talks about, you know,
02:14:21.340 whether this was a failure of secret service or not, I think it's true. They did do their job.
02:14:24.600 They stopped the threat. It never got inside. Had that threat gotten inside the ballroom,
02:14:28.600 we can only imagine what that might have looked like and felt like. There were 3,000 people in
02:14:32.300 that room and no one was hurt, which is really a miracle. I think that he's right, though,
02:14:38.700 to mention that, you know, it's when you talk about having a space that's not secure,
02:14:44.240 or it's a hotel after all.
02:14:46.980 point do guests start gett
02:14:51.120 they come in. You know, t
02:14:53.340 be guests there in the ho
02:14:55.760 not attending the event m
02:14:57.680 that you guys are there's
02:14:58.860 to think about. This is n
02:15:01.960 that we have had to face
02:15:04.820 that we're gonna have to
02:15:06.400 future. And especially ne
02:15:08.300 on this event as the pres
02:15:10.360 taking over from Ouija in
02:15:12.900 we're as an association go
02:15:14.940 about that. And my heart
02:15:16.460 as well. You know, we were
02:15:18.680 she was going to speak. I
02:15:21.080 obviously was going to sp
02:15:22.680 was going to speak. There
02:15:24.220 that went into this and I
02:15:26.240 that moment with a lot of
02:15:30.020 president held it together
02:15:32.580 because he he did say from
02:15:36.180 is we're going to keep go
02:15:39.200 show goes on. And we were
02:15:41.460 We're like, really? Are you sure? How are we going to eat dinner now?
02:15:47.120 But that was his first reaction, and that speaks to his experience as someone who has faced these threats multiple times now,
02:15:54.520 that that's his attitude. It's really something. It's a moment in history.
02:15:58.640 Afterward, I was taken with my fiancee, who's a member of Congress, in a bus that was dedicated to members of Congress,
02:16:06.520 driven by Capitol Police to the Capitol.
02:16:08.980 I walked through the basement of the Capitol, took my shoes off. It was a very long walk and
02:16:13.160 then hailed an Uber out there and then came to the bureau to talk to you all. But it was for a
02:16:18.420 while difficult figuring out where people would go because there were 3000 people in there and
02:16:22.640 we were told for quite a while that the show was going to go on. And during that moment of
02:16:26.960 conflicting reports as to whether someone had been shot, whether the room was being evacuated,
02:16:32.780 whether there was an active threat. That was what was the scariest. Luckily,
02:16:38.340 it was all contained on the outside. And thank God for that.
02:16:42.860 Jackie, I can't imagine everything that you saw and how that must have struck you emotionally.
02:16:49.300 I'm also curious about some of the others that you saw there. Immediately, what comes to mind,
02:16:55.420 not just the broad group of all of you, but in particular, Caroline Levitt, who is eight and a
02:17:01.420 half, nine months pregnant, Erica Kirk, and even the first lady, Melania Trump, who has seen her
02:17:08.240 husband now go through these attempts on his life. Can you add a little color about their
02:17:14.780 circumstances? So the holds that the principles were in was directly adjacent to ours. It was,
02:17:22.880 when I say ours, I mean the other members of the White House Correspondents Association board.
02:17:26.780 The whole eight of us were on stage with the president, the vice president, the first lady, and Caroline Leavitt.
02:17:35.720 And the administration officials were taken to an adjacent hold that was next to ours.
02:17:40.500 And we were getting information passed back and forth from the president's Secret Service detail,
02:17:46.340 because it was literally just a curtain between us for a little while until he went into a different room.
02:17:50.260 and Ouija, the president of the WHCA, went down to speak with the president and figure out what
02:17:58.060 was going on and whether he did, in fact, really want to continue the night. She came back and
02:18:02.260 told us. And so we were waiting right next to the opening of the stage with the hotel staff
02:18:09.100 who were waiting on orders to bring the food out. They had staffers going out there sort of
02:18:15.420 fixing the tables for a little while. And we were all asking ourselves, well, we need to make an
02:18:19.540 announcement. We need to say something about what's gone on. Even if it is, we'll give you
02:18:23.600 more information in a moment. And so we huddled there to sort of piece together from what we were
02:18:29.180 told by Secret Service. We are a room of journalists, after all, what we could share
02:18:32.420 with our colleagues in the room and then also with the world. I was trying to get emails out.
02:18:36.860 I got a few out. I think there was a Wi-Fi problem. I was texting our executives that
02:18:42.480 were in the room. The first person I texted was my fiance and my mom to let them know that I was
02:18:47.680 all right because anyone watching from home, I'm sure had a lot of questions. And when I got
02:18:51.440 lips of service, I tried to get that word out, but didn't expect to be crawling in an evening
02:18:57.080 gown tonight. That's for sure. Oh, no, absolutely not. Jackie, can we talk a little bit about the
02:19:03.540 hotel? Because it's a massive hotel. It's been, I was there years ago, but it, I mean, it's a long
02:19:10.800 walk up and everything, but it sounds like the suspect was staying inside the hotel, chilling
02:19:15.380 to think about. But when you have an event like this, and you have guests that are staying there,
02:19:21.760 is it, and you probably don't know this off the top of your head, but one of the questions is,
02:19:25.860 do they search the rooms ahead of time? Do they search them prior? Is this door-to-door,
02:19:31.300 how much interruption happens with the guests who are there? You know, there's that question.
02:19:35.720 And then additionally, the president says this is going to happen again in the next 30 days.
02:19:41.100 And I'm just wondering, from a security standpoint, how that happens.
02:19:46.520 Well, I would imagine that if it happens in the same location within the next 30 days,
02:19:50.360 there are going to be probably some changes necessary to how it's planned.
02:19:56.280 I'm not sure that as a planner on that board, I don't know how we could get that together in 30 days.
02:20:00.540 The president wants to. I know Ouija wants to.
02:20:02.340 I'm sure everything possible will happen to make that happen.
02:20:06.580 But we've run into this issue before.
02:20:08.660 It was a couple of years ago when Joe Biden was president, and there was a Gaza protester
02:20:13.020 that was staying at the hotel and tried to come in and make a scene. And that was an issue then
02:20:20.860 for the same reason. That protester was staying there and had been there for days. You know,
02:20:26.820 Secret Service and local law enforcement, they shut down the roads in the hours ahead of time.
02:20:32.560 It's in a major sort of traffic artery right there on Connecticut Avenue. So you can't really
02:20:37.260 you shut down traffic too early before something like this, but the fact that you've got guests
02:20:42.060 in rooms coming in and staying there, that is something I'd want to hear more from law
02:20:49.920 enforcement about how do you secure against those possible threats? Do you have to screen everyone
02:20:55.100 that comes through? Do you have to shut down the guests who are coming in and make it more
02:21:00.620 selective? I don't even know how you would do that, but maybe something we need to look at.
02:21:05.340 like incredibly difficult, right? Considering this is constantly, you know, yearly hosted in
02:21:10.340 this hotel. And it has been for many, many years. And we've been doing this dinner since
02:21:15.700 Calvin Coolidge. And so it is a new problem that we'll have to figure out how to wrestle
02:21:22.800 with that. But certainly just a miracle that everything went as it was supposed to, that
02:21:28.840 Secret Service, you know, sprung into action, that no one was hurt, that everyone is with us,
02:21:33.960 the president, the vice president, the first lady, everybody in that room, every soul in that room
02:21:37.860 that nobody was injured is really incredible. And it was scary. But, you know, the fact that
02:21:45.800 we're here talking about it really speaks to the dedication of our law enforcement officers,
02:21:49.960 the process that they have, how they spring into action, you know, muscle memory kicks in and
02:21:56.560 how lucky we are to have that. Yeah, lucky indeed. And it certainly undergirds the president's
02:22:03.440 argument that, listen, it is high time, long beyond time that we have a secure ballroom.
02:22:10.080 You heard him mention it in the news conference afterwards, Jackie, that, listen, this would take
02:22:14.440 some of this potential problem out of the equation. He did say that, but he also said,
02:22:21.900 he was asked, you know, after Butler. You know what? That's fair. That's fair. You control me
02:22:27.920 about my fire gun all the time. I've earned that. I've earned that. I wouldn't be able to do
02:22:32.960 anything. So I think it's just a matter of figuring out how to make something as secure
02:22:38.880 as it can be. When you're in a room of 3,000 people and there are multiple layers of security
02:22:43.880 get into that room, there are checks to make sure that you've got tickets before you can even come
02:22:48.640 down an escalator. The pieces that were in place were effective. But when you have somebody like
02:22:55.120 in the video that they released charging a checkpoint and thankfully they were stopped
02:23:02.400 right there because had they gotten in, it could have been a massacre. You know, Jackie, the
02:23:08.860 president, as you just said, said, you know, you can't after Butler, he couldn't move everything
02:23:12.820 inside. He, I mean, he, there's a limit to what he is willing to limit. But the first lady was
02:23:17.960 also in the room. This, this president is also a man with a family that loves and cares for him.
02:23:23.520 And now they have gone through something so significant that feels like a repeat for the
02:23:29.400 third time. Yeah. I can only imagine what was going through the first lady's mind. You know,
02:23:35.860 she's a famously pretty private person. And we were grateful to have her there with him tonight.
02:23:45.000 I can't speak for her, obviously. But the fact that the president thanked her and mentioned
02:23:51.560 that she had been, you know, she was great and she went through a lot. I think he was thinking
02:23:55.380 of her as well. Thinking of Caroline Levitt too, who's about to have her second child and, you know,
02:24:01.020 her husband worrying for her in that moment. Everybody in that room had, you know, someone
02:24:05.220 that loved them, that was worried about them. But yeah, honestly, I can't imagine how traumatizing
02:24:10.480 that must've been for Erica Kirk. Like that's way too soon, way too soon. How horrifying,
02:24:16.260 how absolutely horrifying for Erica Kirk to have to like go through that.
02:24:21.800 um just like months after what happened to to charlie like it's it's horrifying it's horrifying
02:24:28.980 my heart breaks for her um who was taking photos as this was happening he popped up and was taking
02:24:38.140 he was doing his job to the point where secret service was like get down down and um you know
02:24:44.440 jackie jackie i hate to interrupt uh i want to get to david spunt very quickly we've got an update
02:24:49.780 on the shooter, Jackie Heimer. Great reporting as always. Appreciate that. David, at the White House for us, he has the very latest, I guess, on the investigation, which is not only ongoing at this hour, it seems to be advancing just a bit, right? Kevin and Alicia, it is, I spoke to two law enforcement sources briefed on this evolving investigation. The suspect's name is Cole Allen, 31 years old. He's from Torrance, California, Southern California. We know that the FBI going through his apartment right now, we're told that he may have been a guest
02:25:19.700 at the hotel. That's been reported as well. We're going to get a little bit more details there.
02:25:24.080 But that is a picture that you see on the screen next to me of Cole Allen per two senior law
02:25:30.140 enforcement sources briefed on this matter. They're going, as I said, through the apartment,
02:25:34.880 through cell phones to see who he may have spoken to, to see if anybody was aware of this.
02:25:39.880 So he's 31 from Southern California. Still so many questions, though, that we are waiting for
02:25:46.740 this hour as we are approaching the midnight hour. You heard the U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro
02:25:51.400 announced some of the charges. She said more charges will be filed in federal court. Also,
02:25:57.220 Todd Blanche, the acting attorney general, was at the White House behind me as President Trump
02:26:02.540 and members of his cabinet briefed the press. And he said that there would be more as this
02:26:07.320 happened. So I suspect that we will learn more about this suspect as the days come out. But I
02:26:12.440 will note that this is extraordinarily a short period of time to not only find out the name of
02:26:18.440 a suspect, but see a picture, see surveillance video. I mean, this was all done within an hour
02:26:24.240 or so of that incident that happened. And that's because the president of the United States and
02:26:29.120 all of the top law enforcement officials wanted to make this public and be transparent so people
02:26:34.740 could see what was going on and what happened. Kevin Alicia. David, that really was an incredible
02:26:41.340 thing that the president was sharing this with us in real time as quickly as he could. He was
02:26:46.440 getting it out to us. One note on something that came out of the news conference with law
02:26:51.600 enforcement. The interim police chief for D.C. did say that the suspect was staying in a room
02:26:57.540 at the hotel and that that room had been secured. And then additionally, we were told that the
02:27:03.340 suspect had a long gun, a handgun and multiple knives. And all of that is so incredibly frightening
02:27:09.340 when you just think about the fact that law enforcement says the suspect was in the hotel.
02:27:14.320 And David, I don't know if you know this or not, but how does it work when you have this event
02:27:20.180 and multiple events in this very specific hotel with dignitaries,
02:27:23.780 and you have also guests there that have nothing to do with that event?
02:27:28.720 What are the security protocols? Do you know how that works?
02:27:32.520 Well, I don't want to speculate. I don't know specifically how it would work each time,
02:27:36.380 But I'll tell you this. Gun laws in Washington, D.C., the nation's capital, are incredibly tight, are incredibly strict.
02:27:44.380 So to think that, yes, he may have been a guest at the hotel, as the interim police chief said, and yes, he may have had guns on him.
02:27:51.880 It's curious to see, number one, how that would have happened.
02:27:54.940 And number two, what the security protocol was like for guests, knowing that the president of the United States, the vice president, pretty much the entire cabinet was there.
02:28:04.460 I said earlier when I was on the phone shortly after this happened, because I was in the room when it happened and heard four of those gunshots about a half of a floor or a floor up from where we were.
02:28:15.880 That was the most secure room in the world, one could argue, at that exact time, because the president of the United States, the vice president, the cabinet was in there.
02:28:25.300 There were helicopters above.
02:28:26.580 And this was before that even took place, before any shots were fired.
02:28:30.320 It was just such a secure room.
02:28:31.960 So it's a very important question you ask. And those questions do need to be asked to the hotel and to local law enforcement, federal law enforcement about the security posture at that hotel, given the fact that he was a guest.
02:28:44.480 But I do know that D.C. gun laws are extraordinarily tight. Doesn't mean that he could not have potentially smuggled a gun inside.
02:28:52.500 We'd have to see how long he was staying there for. But security was tight because this was something that was on the books for a long time.
02:28:59.800 and president trump had committed to coming to this uh several weeks ago alicia david let me
02:29:06.800 jump in here really quickly uh thank you alicia you know when i i think about some of the coverage
02:29:11.820 that i've seen tonight uh the question has been i think a fairly decent one guys there's there's a
02:29:18.480 lot of guys there's a lot of new people watching the channel you have to go easy you have to go
02:29:25.220 easy on the new people because because the new people are not regulars like you they don't
02:29:31.940 they don't know they don't know that the the iran revolution live derka jokes
02:29:38.260 they're just here for the news guys go go easy on them go easy on the right
02:29:55.220 Let's go back to the news.
02:30:07.160 We're just outside downstairs.
02:30:09.020 Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981.
02:30:11.300 And many people remember that.
02:30:13.660 That was outside.
02:30:14.740 That was a different circumstance.
02:30:16.000 It was a different entrance.
02:30:17.420 But that was where President Reagan was shot.
02:30:20.260 So the hotel absolutely had history.
02:30:22.140 And, you know, there certainly will be a full review of this going forward.
02:30:27.560 This is where the dinner has been held for decades.
02:30:30.200 It's not clear if the dinner will be continuing to be held here in the future, but it's a location that could fit all of those people.
02:30:38.620 I mean, it was massive, but I will say being inside tonight, it did feel about as packed as it felt since I've been going to that dinner.
02:30:45.280 I mean, you could see that just about every person was in there and every table they could have fit, I should say, was in there.
02:30:53.380 And people were sitting almost against the walls in the back, probably further than they have been before.
02:30:58.160 So the security protocols are something that authorities need to look at.
02:31:02.580 Kevin.
02:31:03.620 And David, can you talk to us a little bit about where you think this investigation goes?
02:31:08.680 It's just getting started.
02:31:09.820 We know that they're in the apartment, as you reported, in Torrance, California.
02:31:15.280 i was i was muted guys soapbox is making a very very important comment we can't go zero to 100
02:31:26.980 hey dad on on the new people you have to you have to ease them in ease them in they don't know what
02:31:33.760 goes on on this channel the fbi crime lab in quantico which is about 20 minutes 25 30 uh with
02:31:41.680 no traffic in Washington, D.C., just outside D.C. in Northern Virginia. So that's where they take
02:31:46.780 all of that. That is the best of the best who works. Those are the best of the best who work
02:31:51.080 at Quantico. As far as the charges are concerned, D.C. is unique because it's not a state. It's a
02:31:58.120 city, but it's within a federal district, the District of Columbia. So federal charges almost
02:32:04.200 certainly will be filed in this case. And I think just from seeing what we've seen tonight over the
02:32:10.360 past hour or so, when President Trump took the podium behind me in the press briefing room,
02:32:16.480 again, it's truly something to see the video and the pictures and have all of this information
02:32:22.640 about this person so soon. So I suspect these charges will be escalated as far as the speed
02:32:29.120 of the charges, the speed of the timetable of law enforcement. Sometimes law is slow,
02:32:34.180 sometimes justice can be slow, but I have a feeling in this case things will be sped up.
02:32:39.360 David, I know you'd be a tough guy.
02:32:41.320 I'm just curious, in the moments when everything was unfolding, what was going through your mind?
02:32:47.160 Well, I was talking to a colleague of mine, and we were just having a regular conversation.
02:32:51.660 She was sitting next to me, and I heard four pops, pop, pop, pop, pop.
02:32:55.600 And a lot of people started screaming and said, get down, there's a gun.
02:32:58.980 So immediately got down on the floor, made sure my colleagues were on the floor, made sure everybody was down and secure.
02:33:05.420 and we didn't move until we really could hear people going through to make sure that everybody
02:33:10.900 was safe. I saw the FBI director, Kash Patel. He was being escorted out when I was able to get up
02:33:17.880 from the floor to see what was going on. And it was chaotic. I mean, no question it was chaotic,
02:33:23.440 but in the end, we're thankful that nobody was hurt inside and we're thankful that the officer
02:33:28.800 is okay. You know, David, in the immediate moments when all of this was unfolding,
02:33:34.320 we were hearing conflicting reports that this was going to continue, that the event was going
02:33:39.960 to continue. The president wanted to go back out there and make his speech, that basically that
02:33:44.740 the show was going to go on. And then we heard, no, it's going to be canceled. So it became kind
02:33:48.780 of evident that there was negotiation going on between the president and the Secret Service over
02:33:52.740 exactly what was possible here, right? Because he wants to show the American public that he's
02:33:57.860 still standing once again. So that brings me to this. The next event that he says is going to
02:34:04.120 happen within the next 30 days. He hopes that there will be another White House Correspondents
02:34:09.400 Dinner where you can actually have dinner and and hear what he has to say. How tough is that
02:34:16.900 going to be to pull off? Yeah, well, it's going to be difficult because the White House Correspondents
02:34:22.740 Association who works incredibly hard in the board, Jackie and everybody on that board works
02:34:28.540 so hard all year to put this on. They put everything on tonight. Everything, the money
02:34:33.340 was spent, the dinners were there, things were done. I mean, this was the night. So to get that
02:34:39.880 together in 30 days might be difficult, but it's something the president said he wants. I suspect
02:34:44.480 that he spoke to members of the board as well and, you know, who want to do it. So that's the goal
02:34:51.480 is to get it done but the reason that he did not come back out tonight even though he wanted to as
02:34:56.720 he said in the briefing room is because it just was too dangerous uh the secret service and and
02:35:02.740 probably some of his aides were concerned that there could have been somebody else i mean when
02:35:07.860 that's happening that quickly now we know a little bit more tomorrow we'll know even more about this
02:35:13.020 suspect but as it's happening in your 30 45 minutes out you don't know if there could be
02:35:18.520 another shooter or another
02:35:20.400 attacker. So you have to be
02:35:22.520 that's why that decision was
02:35:24.520 David, we're looking at pict
02:35:26.520 video that the White House
02:35:28.520 released some of the securit
02:35:30.520 What struck you and watching
02:35:32.520 how quickly the gunman tried
02:35:34.520 to rush past the mags and how
02:35:40.520 incredibly quickly. He was
02:35:42.520 going for it. He was ready to go for it.
02:35:44.520 and those uh okay so um he's just kind of repeating everything that happened we'll keep him on stage
02:35:51.340 we'll keep him on the screen because you know he's got like a tuxedo on guys this was probably the
02:35:56.880 most well-dressed um uh you know uh press conference that we've ever seen um because of
02:36:04.000 course everyone was at the white house correspondence dinner dinner and then you know
02:36:11.200 the shooter came and the shooting happened. And the same people who were supposed to have the
02:36:19.220 night off are now literally on TV. So this is the only time you're going to see the reporters
02:36:24.120 so well-dressed. Everyone was in a tuxedo. All the men were in tuxedos. All the women were in
02:36:31.440 ball gowns. Um, yeah, there you go. So let's go to some of the super chats because, um, 0.79
02:36:40.580 you have sent me some super chats and I want to make sure that, um, I do answer them. So, um,
02:36:49.060 let's see. Um, the last one was Yoshi said this justifies the ballroom. Yes, absolutely.
02:37:01.120 Like, the woke left should have no other reason or excuse for, you know, why President Trump wants to, like, you know, get the ballroom up and running.
02:37:12.880 PJ says, thank you, Goldie, for your constant support of President Trump and the people of Iran.
02:37:17.740 Well, thank you, guys.
02:37:18.800 Thank you, America, for helping to liberate Iran.
02:37:21.580 And, yeah, we, guys, we love President Trump.
02:37:24.240 So yeah, when I heard the news, I was horrified and then decided to doom watch and you guys are all doom watching with me. So there you go. Appreciate having you here. And, you know, for those of you who are new to my channel, you know, don't forget to like and subscribe.
02:37:43.420 I actually live stream every day about the Iranian revolution. And that includes United States and
02:37:53.600 Israel. And just FYI, this is a pro-Iran, pro-Trump, pro-Israel channel. It is an anti-Islamic
02:38:04.680 regime channel. So yeah, that's what I usually do. Oh, your favorite reporter is back. 1.00
02:38:11.640 Okay, I'll stop talking so you can listen to your favorite reporter.
02:38:17.640 The Capitol, and somehow I imagine you wandering to an Uber to get over to the Bureau.
02:38:23.560 So well done by you.
02:38:25.300 We'll go to the Supercross doctor.
02:38:27.480 Your first question, I'm sorry.
02:38:29.320 You remind me of that one.
02:38:30.240 My thoughts?
02:38:30.920 My thoughts on the night?
02:38:32.140 Yeah, yeah.
02:38:32.900 Well, again, I'm just grateful that the security protocol worked as it was supposed to
02:38:39.520 and that no one is injured or worse.
02:38:44.080 As far as, you know, the night goes and rescheduling it
02:38:47.700 and, you know, the security questions about whether we can hold that event in a hotel ever again,
02:38:53.500 these are things that are going to be conversations for tomorrow.
02:38:56.340 I think that the takeaway for tonight is that everything went as it was supposed to
02:39:01.600 in the event, like, something like this happened.
02:39:04.120 i'm grateful for the you know leadership of ouija uh the whca not just drunk but but they're also
02:39:13.000 they're also hangry because this happened right before dinner with serp so not only are they
02:39:19.140 drunk they're also they're also now they still haven't eaten so they're all in like tuxedos
02:39:26.060 or ball gowns they're drunk um they're hungry and now they have to work i mean the rights that we
02:39:33.180 I'm not like I'm not laughing at them in a malicious way I'm just laughing at the situation
02:39:38.740 right is done by our press corps um unfortunately you know the decision was that we should probably
02:39:46.000 follow protocol and um that that does make sense to me as a person who was up there and had a script
02:39:52.420 written and um you know the sort of mood of the evening would have been difficult after that I
02:40:00.280 think. I think that we're all grateful. I was grateful to get off that stage and hug my loved
02:40:06.340 ones and tell everyone there that I loved that I was okay. My friends, my colleagues, my fiance,
02:40:13.300 and grateful that I was able to get a signal out periodically from backstage when we were still
02:40:17.600 learning what was going on and try to get information to everybody. At the end of the day,
02:40:21.660 we're all journalists that were in there trying to do our best to bring the world our account of
02:40:28.000 what happened. I'm sure that we will learn more details about who was at what table and what was
02:40:32.760 said in the days and maybe weeks ahead. The images that are coming in, you know, seeing myself
02:40:38.520 being, you know, getting down on the ground as a Secret Service agent comes in and swoops the
02:40:46.040 Vice President out behind me. It's really just sort of surreal. And thinking back to those moments
02:40:54.400 and how fast but slow it was all moving.
02:40:58.220 I was sitting there on stage and for a moment wondering what's going on
02:41:02.680 as you're seeing these agents rushing toward you
02:41:05.380 and then seeing them get up on tables.
02:41:08.060 Yeah, Omi, this comment here, this is how you traumatize the newbies.
02:41:13.140 You have to ease them into the Durka. 0.84
02:41:15.400 You can't just talk about the Islamic regime accusing Israel of occult sciences. 1.00
02:41:21.460 You have to ease in the newbies. 0.97
02:41:26.260 You can't go full Durka on them.
02:41:32.820 The sort of nod from the agent standing above me
02:41:35.460 that I could crawl back there to the backstage area
02:41:38.940 where we all ended up forming and huddling with each other
02:41:41.800 and figuring out what the next movements were going to be.
02:41:44.920 So it moved very quickly and very slow all at once in a way.
02:41:48.420 It's hard to explain.
02:41:49.340 But I didn't didn't expect it to go that way, obviously, and grateful that if it had to go this way, that this is the conclusion.
02:41:59.020 Nobody hurt. And we all get to go home to our loved ones tonight.
02:42:04.220 Well, Jackie, you've been so eloquent in the way that you've been sharing your experience with us.
02:42:08.680 But I have to know, was there a moment there when they were asked when the agents were asking each other questions that you did you believe that the that the ballroom had been breached at some point?
02:42:18.720 were you concerned that someone was in the ballroom a suspect of some sort yes only because
02:42:25.600 of the urgency um the the tone of the agents talking to each other and they had their guns
02:42:32.180 drawn they were scanning the room and they were looking at each other do you see it are you
02:42:36.080 tracking anything no and that's a tense moment not knowing if you're flat enough on the ground
02:42:42.480 that if something happened could it get through um the tablecloth that's hiding me behind that
02:42:47.940 uh partition because you're elevated from the rest of the room um i was you know laying as flat as i
02:42:53.700 could and regretting that i didn't take my phone down with me to tell my mom and and my fiance in
02:42:59.460 that moment that i'm okay so they're just like reaching for like like info now um i will keep
02:43:06.980 your favorite reporter on the screen while i go through the super chats um so uh
02:43:17.940 let's go. What was the last one here? So, um, so the major actual posted cops carry
02:43:26.080 surgical shears for reasons, just like the skis that ambushed the national guardsman
02:43:33.580 and got hauled off naked. That is true. Barb Rogers, naked snake. Yes. So Barb is referring 0.67
02:43:41.360 to, um, let me just share this really quick. He's referring, she's referring to this photo here
02:43:49.800 that president Trump posted of this, uh, like leftist terrorist. Um, so yeah. Um, thank you 0.74
02:44:00.160 so much for the super sticker. I appreciate that. Very thoughtful of you. Uh, see jizzle4269 channel
02:44:07.980 name, the Goldie hour or the golden hour. Thank you. I will, I will consider that a lot of people
02:44:13.300 are saying, just keep it as the Goldie show. So we'll see. I might do a poll or something later. 0.54
02:44:18.960 Terry says, check Cole Allen, Torrance, California. Look at the comments without
02:44:23.860 drawing any conclusions. Be fair. Yeah. It seems to be more and more like that's, um, that's the
02:44:29.480 case. Barb Rogers, shooter looks like a soy boy. Yeah. I mean, they all do. Didn't you guys see my 0.99
02:44:40.960 rant on YouTube? Like I posted a rant literally like two days ago. Two days ago, I posted a rant
02:44:49.140 where I said that the woke left are terrorists. I literally said, I posted a video on YouTube
02:44:57.980 two days ago. And I said, the woke left are terrorists. And look what happened two days 0.97
02:45:05.200 later. You know what? I should probably share that video. I should probably share that video
02:45:10.880 because I just go on a rant. Effie gave a $20 super sticker. Thank you so much. Oh,
02:45:21.160 we have a new member. Welcome. Welcome to Goldie's gang.
02:45:23.860 um pops intrepid peddler goldie thanks for caring about our president from afar we appreciate your
02:45:31.080 voice mega in texas love that of course of course president trump is loved and respected all around
02:45:38.800 the world so absolutely we appreciate everything president trump is doing um to to help free iran
02:45:45.200 as well so obviously we're concerned about this we're just very grateful that he's okay um big
02:45:53.000 text says thank you for your heart linus oh thank you i appreciate that thank you for the support
02:45:58.840 okay now we have a whole bit like leroy jenkins yeah so guys
02:46:07.240 yeah leroy jenkins all right this is what it's referring to guys this is what he's referring to
02:46:13.240 too soon. There you go. There's, there's a Leroy Jenkins right there. Anyways, it didn't
02:46:28.220 work though. He was caught. So he was caught. Why is this not working? All right. Um, let's
02:46:41.020 go back to Fox News. What's happening? Trump was attending the White House correspondence
02:46:46.820 dinner. President Trump was expected to make remarks. Why is there like a random British guy
02:46:52.020 on Fox News? This is video from inside the room packed with high profile journalists and leaders
02:46:58.620 of our country. You see the moment the president is whisked away from the stage, the confusion
02:47:05.040 and panic setting in among guests. In the last 15 minutes, we have learned the suspect's name.
02:47:12.800 He is 31-year-old Cole Allen. You see him there on the floor in the lobby of the hotel. He is
02:47:18.640 from Torrance right here in California. One officer was shot, but he was protected by a
02:47:24.520 bulletproof vest. We're told he will be okay. Officers then apprehended the suspect. This is
02:47:30.440 incredible surveillance video of that suspect. We're not seeing it right now. That is obviously
02:47:35.840 the dais you're seeing there, but there is incredible surveillance video of the suspect.
02:47:39.980 This is it. Running law enforcement, chasing after him, firing at him. Police say the suspect
02:47:47.160 was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and many knives. Investigators believe he acted alone
02:47:54.020 and was a guest at the hotel where the event was taking place, all of which, of course,
02:48:00.020 speaks to a real amount of planning going into this attack. Again, more video here
02:48:05.480 from inside the room where the president, vice president, and so many other people were. People
02:48:11.100 ducking, diving under tables, police running to protect everyone, and rush people offstage.
02:48:18.240 President Trump just a short time ago held a briefing at the White House.
02:48:22.160 well thank you very much and that was very unexpected but uh incredibly acted upon by
02:48:33.440 secret service and law enforcement this was an event dedicated to freedom of speech
02:48:41.440 that was supposed to bring together members of both parties with members of the press
02:48:46.000 And in a certain way it did, because the fact that they just unified, I saw a room that was just
02:48:54.760 totally unified. It was in one way, very beautiful, a very beautiful thing to see.
02:48:59.500 We're going to reschedule. We're going to do it again. We're not going to let anybody take over
02:49:03.700 our society. We're not going to cancel things out because we can't do that. We wanted to stay tonight.
02:49:09.320 joining us now on the phone special report anchor brett bayer he was at the dinner of course when
02:49:17.760 the shots rang out and brett before we get to the the politics the security implications of this i
02:49:24.400 just want to get your personal thoughts about what you saw what you heard how you felt as it was all
02:49:31.960 unfolding brett yeah jonathan um it's good to talk to you it's it was a scary situation i mean
02:49:38.520 anybody in that room realized the commotion as it first happened. It sounded kind of like a crack,
02:49:46.060 and then you heard plates and tables, and you saw this running of Secret Service agents down
02:49:55.040 the middle of the aisle, some of them then going on top of tables. You had Secret Service agents
02:50:02.740 and tactical gear coming out with long guns, and as Jackie described earlier, pointing them at the
02:50:08.380 crowd. As you can see, they're scanning the room for any threat. Meanwhile, you know, we don't know
02:50:14.800 exactly what's going on. All kinds of rumors abounded that this guy got off a shot inside
02:50:21.200 the ballroom. That was not true. He never got to that spot. But I was sitting at a table with
02:50:27.580 Suzanne Scott, leader of our organization, and next to me was the Department of Homeland Security
02:50:35.000 Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen, my wife Amy, to his left. And when it first happened, and I took video
02:50:44.120 as the first moments, for some reason I had my phone in my hand, and I started to take video,
02:50:50.300 and everyone was pushing down to get under the table, and people were yelling, and I could see
02:50:56.440 Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen's Secret Service kind of holding his back and holding him down. His wife
02:51:04.580 was with my wife under the table um as they were seeking cover and that you that happened to a lot
02:51:10.540 of folks um but it was a scary moment john it really was and uh it took a little while to
02:51:15.580 understand it was clear and in just seconds the president the vice president um were off that
02:51:23.560 stage and um you know surrounded by secret service as you've seen before in big threatening
02:51:30.140 it moments. Yeah. And Brett, staying on the, on the personal level here, we're all journalists.
02:51:37.560 Some of the journalists in that room have been in very dangerous situations. Some of them have
02:51:43.420 covered wars, et cetera. But I think for every journalist, for you personally, it's a very
02:51:49.880 different thing when you, as you say, you have your wife sitting there next to you. It changes
02:51:55.820 is the entire dynamic of how you react and feel i would imagine no that's true jonathan and i was
02:52:02.420 thinking about her she was very shaken up um and she was under the table i was in the moment
02:52:08.240 thinking trying to figure out what was happening and you know ducked down but i held my phone up
02:52:14.120 and i think i shared that video we've been playing some of it uh on fox and you can see everyone
02:52:19.820 huddled down but you're right it's a moment you know you know guys you know what i was about to
02:52:24.080 do. Like right before I started the live stream, I like laid down on my sofa and I was like,
02:52:30.460 you know what? I'm going to have a chill night. I'm going to, you know, like, uh, I don't know,
02:52:36.820 make myself a drink, which I never ended up making. And I was like, you know what? You
02:52:41.200 know what I did today, guys? You know what I did today to spoil myself? I bought myself a cookie.
02:52:47.780 Okay. I bought myself a chocolate chip cookie. Okay. And as you can tell,
02:52:53.380 I haven't even opened it yet. Like it's the, the, the packaging, it's, it's unopened. It's
02:52:59.200 unopened. So as soon as I sit down on my sofa and I'm like, I had a long day, I'm going to
02:53:07.960 sit down and I'm just going to like watch some Netflix and, you know, eat a chocolate chip
02:53:15.080 cookie. And then I get the news and I still haven't had my chocolate chip cookie.
02:53:23.380 so who knows when I'll have my chocolate chip cookie, but that's okay. That's okay. I'm happy
02:53:30.400 to do this. I'm happy to do this. No, no, no munchies. I'm not, I'm not into that stuff.
02:53:36.400 Um, like I don't, I don't judge people. Like if that's what they want to do, that's fine. But
02:53:40.980 like, I'm, I'm not into that kind of stuff. Um, because for me, like, like my biggest asset is
02:53:46.880 my brain. So I like to be clear headed at all times. So yeah, like I was, I was probably just
02:53:57.120 going to make myself like a vodka soda. No, no, no. I was going to make myself like a vodka soda
02:54:02.640 and then, you know, just have like a chocolate chip cookie, but that never happened. So there
02:54:08.660 you go. No, I don't, I don't, I don't do anything else. Guys, let me tell you something. Your,
02:54:13.660 your brain, your brain is your biggest asset, right? Because everything else comes and goes,
02:54:21.600 but your brain is what you need to invest in. So you take care of your brain.
02:54:30.880 Everything else is good. Right? So that's just my thing. I don't judge other people,
02:54:37.120 but it's not my thing. You know what I mean? Like I, as you know, as Armin and I were like,
02:54:43.660 So there you go. All right. Let me go to some of the super chats here and I will answer it. I'll try to answer your questions. So, okay. Pat's G. Crux says cocaine speed, demonic speed. Glad Trump was protected by a higher power. Yeah, I agree. Like when you look at this video, it's crazy. Like it's insane. Look, look at how fast this guy goes through.
02:55:11.660 It's wild
02:55:14.100 Look at this
02:55:19.820 Look at that
02:55:24.560 And then look
02:55:27.660 When he gets here
02:55:29.000 He even like
02:55:31.460 He like lowers his head
02:55:33.180 Right
02:55:34.260 He lowers his head to like duck through
02:55:37.620 Like what an insane
02:55:39.600 Psycho freak 0.94
02:55:41.080 what an insane psycho freak oh my gosh i'm you know thank god for secret service and all those 0.97
02:55:50.480 people who like stopped him right force yeah okay that's true so guys so what um what ninja rooster 0.89
02:55:59.740 is referring to here is i accidentally called the guy i called him a jihadi um i don't know
02:56:08.240 if he's a jihadi or not. The reason I called him that is because it's force of habit. Because for
02:56:13.820 those of you who are new to my channel, for the last 119 days, I've been live streaming every day 0.99
02:56:21.160 talking about the Iranian revolution where we, you know, expose jihadis and, you know, the dirkas 0.51
02:56:27.520 and, you know, all that nonsense. So it was force of habit. Next gen justice. If this is a teacher 0.96
02:56:35.060 of the month, I say homeschool your kids, folks. I agree. I agree. Especially in like,
02:56:41.540 in California, like these people are crazy. And guys, this is the problem. Like they're 0.98
02:56:47.840 the ones indoctrinating the children. Okay. So I have no idea who he is without having
02:56:56.860 looked into him or anything. I wouldn't be surprised if he supports Palestine or, you
02:57:03.200 know, Palestine, as we call it, right? So I would say there's probably a high likelihood that this 1.00
02:57:11.740 insane leftist freak probably supports Palestine and thinks that Islamic terrorists are, you know, 1.00
02:57:20.280 resistance against American imperialism or, you know, some garbage nonsense or whatever, right? 1.00
02:57:29.600 So keep an eye out for that. 0.96
02:57:31.680 PJ, yeah, yeah, America.
02:57:35.400 God loves America.
02:57:36.300 Guys, that's why when someone was like, oh, that's why when the real spec said goalie should come back with their flag blanket.
02:57:43.700 Yeah, so usually I have my Iran flag.
02:57:46.340 But, you know, in honor of what happened tonight, I'm here with my America flag.
02:57:50.840 And it's not even a blanket.
02:57:51.820 It's literally just a flag, right?
02:57:54.060 So I just have a flag.
02:57:55.860 You know, there's my Iran flag there.
02:57:58.440 My Iran flag, which is always there.
02:58:01.300 Yeah.
02:58:02.200 Right?
02:58:02.780 So there's my Iran flag, but in honor of President Trump.
02:58:06.840 And, you know, that's why I have my America flag on tonight.
02:58:10.540 And, yeah, you know what?
02:58:11.160 It makes a nice blanket.
02:58:12.260 It keeps me warm.
02:58:13.720 It's nice.
02:58:14.620 I like blankets.
02:58:18.020 Talig sent a sticker.
02:58:20.360 Thank you very much.
02:58:22.940 Peace, Dynamo.
02:58:24.040 big respect for hosting us all doom scrolling together. Thank you. Thank you. I'm happy to do
02:58:31.200 it. Like we're all, we're all doom scrolling together. So yeah, I'll get back to the news
02:58:36.180 momentarily. Um, Talik says, did you notice that Vance was rushed out first? Uh, it's not that he
02:58:43.780 was rushed out first. It's just that Vance was closer to the right side of the stage, right?
02:58:51.080 So it's not that he was rushed out first. It's just he was closer to the exit. Whereas President Trump being, you know, the guest of honor was in the center of the stage in the middle of the stage. So, you know, it took a few seconds longer. And President Trump was taken out from the other side of the stage because, you know, security reasons.
02:59:10.960 And in situations like this, as I understand it, you know, in like situations like this. And guys, again, I'm not an expert in this stuff. I'm a geopolitical analyst when it comes to Iran and the Middle East.
02:59:26.840 So right now, my knowledge about these situations comes from movies that I've seen.
02:59:33.580 So in the movies, in the movies, okay, when there's a national security threat in the
02:59:39.480 movies, usually they keep the president and vice president separate, right?
02:59:44.640 Because that way, at least you can guarantee that one chief of staff, you know, God forbid,
02:59:49.580 if something should happen to one, the other is there.
02:59:52.200 that's my knowledge and experience based on movies, which I think is correct, right? So that's
03:00:00.920 why they separate them. They separate them for security reasons because you want to have,
03:00:05.340 you know, it's, I know it's, it's a morbid thing. It's a morbid thing to say, but that's how the
03:00:10.900 security protocol works, right? Yeah, guys, I, I, I can answer things. Oh, I'm correct. There you
03:00:19.720 go see wow guys Goldie is always right even in these situations Goldie is always right I mean
03:00:26.800 of course I was a politician so I actually do kind of know these things like like that that's
03:00:32.340 the protocol for you know Canadian politics and I just assumed that it would be the same protocol
03:00:36.540 for for American politics so there you go yeah that I mean it's it's a morbid thing to say but
03:00:43.520 but loki doki is right it's like if one gets taken out the other doesn't I know it's it's a morbid
03:00:48.580 thing, but that's a security protocol there, right? Yes, I do keep my composure without my
03:00:54.880 fire gun. Yes. If anyone wants to know the reference to the fire gun, go watch my rant
03:00:59.940 about YouTube silencing me, disconnecting me. And I'm so frustrated. I talk about a fire gun
03:01:05.680 instead of a firearm. Julian says, JD's wife is pregnant. I hope she's okay. I hope so too. 0.98
03:01:13.500 Everyone send her a prayer. Post-intrepid, starting a donation fund for Goldie's evening
03:01:21.020 gown live stream. Guys, I have numerous evening gowns. I would never wear one in a live stream,
03:01:26.560 especially right now. It's midnight. I need to go to bed soon because I wasn't planning on being
03:01:32.140 here, but happy to share this. But I'm not doing an evening gown live stream. Oh, and then there's
03:01:39.200 like a whole bunch of like your, your Durka comments, which is really funny. And then Wyatt
03:01:43.740 says he was from California, which has strict laws. He flew on a plane, which are strict on
03:01:51.360 guns on the plane. And DC has strict guns. How did he get the guns? I mean, that's an excellent
03:01:57.460 question. That's an excellent question. So, uh, yeah, hopefully, um, you know, well, hopefully,
03:02:03.880 but I know like secret service and FBI, um, they're going to look into that. Like cash Patel
03:02:08.780 guys, Kash Patel did not look happy in that press conference, right? Like if we go to,
03:02:14.720 um, if we go to the white house press conference, let me pull it up on YouTube here. Um,
03:02:23.440 so if we go to the white house press conference, you can obviously, and very clearly see that
03:02:36.840 cash patel is not happy guys take a look at this
03:02:53.480 ah
03:03:06.840 Guys, I only did it. I only did it because everyone is okay. I only did it because everyone
03:03:26.180 is okay, and there's no casualties, and it's been a tough night, and I know you guys needed
03:03:30.900 the laugh. I know you guys needed the laugh. So that's why I did it. That's why I did it.
03:03:39.660 Yes. For those of you who are new, Rickrolling is a part of, yes. But anyways, going to, um,
03:03:49.100 going to Cash, uh, this is, uh, this is what I wanted to share.
03:03:53.780 so you can tell that cash patel he is not happy right like that face this is the face of someone
03:04:08.200 who is going to get to the bottom of what happened and like no mercy no mercy like he is
03:04:19.760 not happy at all whatsoever. So yeah, that's a very, very good question, Wyatt. And I have a
03:04:29.160 feeling Cash Patel is going to get to the bottom of that. We have some new members, Earl and Peace.
03:04:34.580 Thank you. Welcome to Goldie's gang. Grim TT got it from Goldie first tonight. Thanks. Wow. Thank
03:04:42.540 you for joining my doom scrolling channel. Really appreciate that. Pat says reporters were expecting
03:04:48.880 to be lucky in a different way, not interns having to report a breaking story live. Yeah,
03:04:54.760 I know that that's why they're all on tuxedos and evening gowns. They do all look like wizards.
03:05:00.600 Yeah, some of them do for sure. Jonathan says one photo has emerged, shows him Cole Allen
03:05:08.080 receiving a teacher of the month recognition in LA County in December 2024. Cole, what up?
03:05:16.780 Yeah, that's actually, that's this photo here that we showed earlier. So thank you for bringing that up. Yeah, like it's wild. Guys, these are the people that are teaching your children, right? This is the woke left. This is the woke progressive left. Guys, I made a video a few days ago about how these people are insane terrorists.
03:05:40.060 and now look, another one of them just tried to assassinate President Trump. Look at them. 0.98
03:05:46.420 Look at how evil they are. Like, look at these people. They're crazy. They're wild. They're 0.92
03:05:51.720 crazy. Right? Pats, how long do you think before CNN and the rest call the Secret Service racist 0.99
03:06:00.280 for hog tying a minority? And oh, guys, CNN was already like, remember, we tuned into CNN for
03:06:06.980 like three seconds. And CNN was basically like speaking about, uh, why they need to ban guns
03:06:13.720 because of like school shootings. Like it was just wild. CNN is crazy. CNN supports the Islamic
03:06:19.240 regime. Pat's to see an army and always miss the good events. Goldie was the lone person awake when 0.95
03:06:25.500 the Supreme leader met his virgin goes. Yeah, guys, we were the ones that were awake when, uh,
03:06:31.180 when, you know, United States and, um, Israel, they boom, boom, Khamenei sent him to hell,
03:06:36.880 uh, where he belongs. So yeah, there you go. Um, that was, that was, that was a good night.
03:06:42.720 That was a good night. Uh, Hatchet man, much respect from Australia. Thank you so much for
03:06:47.440 being here. Thank you for joining us. Um, dream of Goldie trying to assassinate a Durka. Yeah,
03:06:54.640 know um i'm not a fan of violence myself per se so that's not something that i would do um but you
03:07:03.840 know when it does happen i'm not upset let's put it that way but it's not something that i would
03:07:09.280 personally do how many times did i did you do that today how many times wait how many times
03:07:15.600 did i do what today what are you talking about how many times did i watch
03:07:24.640 yeah i don't know i lost count um secret service has some explaining to do yeah i mean i don't
03:07:44.860 i mean they're definitely going to look into it but you have to remember these people have
03:07:51.680 also become incredibly sophisticated. Right. So, um, it's hard. It's, it's difficult.
03:07:59.880 It's difficult because like, how are you able to, like, how are you able to,
03:08:06.480 to predict accurately what's going on? Right. But I mean, the fact that like, so like they did
03:08:15.860 everything. Like to me, to me, they did everything that they possibly could. And the fact that there
03:08:24.140 are no casualties to me, like that shows that the secret service did their job properly. Right.
03:08:31.160 Because look, this guy tried everything. Like he stayed in the hotel. He was already a visitor
03:08:37.340 in the hotel. Um, and then, you know, he, he tried to like Leroy Jenkins his way through. Um,
03:08:44.780 and secret service stopped him right secret service stopped him so i don't know holding
03:08:53.980 room immediately after it happened i just kind of got to hang out and hear the deliberations and
03:09:00.620 you know just to give some people some insight into the way he thinks the guy that we saw
03:09:06.940 in butler the the nation saw the world saw that night the guy that got up and after being hit
03:09:12.860 with a bullet you know scream fight fight fight that said no you're not taking me out on a
03:09:17.380 stretcher uh that guy was in that room in that holding room seconds after this all happened
03:09:23.280 tonight that guy was was saying we're going back out there and you know i'm sure everyone around
03:09:30.940 him was like no no no no we we really don't want you to do that um at that moment we didn't know
03:09:37.600 at that moment and so you know uh and you got to give the president a lot of credit too i mean
03:09:44.740 yeah you know i agree the secret service actually succeeded and they saved everyone and kept them
03:09:50.400 safe that's what the secret service did pull this event off okay but we're doing it again within the
03:09:55.400 next 30 days we're going to reschedule this um he just it's what makes this this person
03:10:03.660 very unique a very unique figure in history and i don't think he's wrong either in saying
03:10:11.000 you know whether you like president trump or you don't he is consequential everything he does
03:10:16.260 is big it is consequential he he does not deliberate you know through this prism of oh
03:10:24.100 how will the history books see me you know on the issue of iran for example it's they can't
03:10:29.120 have a nuclear weapon end of sentence they're way closer than anybody thought we will stop and we
03:10:35.180 will we will neutralize that threat um knowing that there there will be people that that maybe
03:10:41.960 disagree uh there certainly has been no no shortage of critics in that regard but that is who he is
03:10:49.320 that defines him and i think that is what separates him from so many other presidents unfortunately i
03:10:54.920 I think when presidents start thinking about their legacy and they are governed by fear,
03:10:59.240 which Donald Trump really doesn't know in the sense that most people do,
03:11:03.600 this is the guy that you have here.
03:11:07.580 And he showed it.
03:11:08.360 Look, you saw it in his press conference.
03:11:09.780 We love Sean Hannity.
03:11:10.980 But that's what I was hearing in real time tonight.
03:11:12.840 Yeah.
03:11:14.340 Guys, I've done interviews with Sean Hannity about Iran before.
03:11:18.400 I love Sean Hannity.
03:11:19.400 presidents throughout the last few decades. We see them age before our eyes. President Biden
03:11:26.200 is a whole different kettle of fish, obviously. But I feel like President Obama, you saw him age.
03:11:31.680 That's an understatement, Jonathan. That is an understatement. But go ahead.
03:11:35.740 But President Obama, we saw him age. His hair changed color. I think both President Bush's
03:11:41.920 looked considerably older within four years of taking the presidency.
03:11:47.700 I'll check it out after. President Trump doesn't seem to me, despite all the pressures he's under,
03:11:54.220 despite everything he's been through, despite the attempts on his life, he doesn't generally
03:12:00.000 seem to be aging in the same way that other presidents have. His energy levels are clearly
03:12:07.320 unmatched, I think, in presidents we have seen. What makes him so energetic, do you think?
03:12:15.380 You know, I've often kidded with him that if he could, he would sleep in the Oval Office.
03:12:22.260 This way, he wouldn't have to walk that far to get to work and go right back to work the minute he woke back up for the few hours that he does sleep on any given night.
03:12:33.160 You know, look, he said it tonight, and it's very real.
03:12:37.500 It's very genuine.
03:12:38.500 It's very sincere.
03:12:39.940 He loves this country.
03:12:41.860 He loves this job.
03:12:43.220 He's dedicated to it.
03:12:44.580 he knows the risks that are associated with it um he accepts it and he moves on he's not somebody
03:12:52.300 that is going to cower in a corner in fear it's not his nature it's it's actually the opposite
03:12:59.580 i mean the more that you push him the more that he's willing to take more chances
03:13:04.800 um which is the opposite of most people in life and you know if i've learned one thing
03:13:10.000 watching him and observing him you know i've never seen any one political figure in my lifetime
03:13:16.560 i don't think we'll ever see one again that has has had to withstand so much in terms of what
03:13:23.820 they have thrown at him for the entire 11 years this man has been on the political scene from
03:13:29.820 the day that he came down that escalator they have been after him and to the extent that it
03:13:36.660 is now being disclosed and made available to us, weaponization, the Russia hoax, FISA
03:13:43.400 abuse, all of it is at a magnitude this country had never seen before.
03:13:50.220 And he engenders great love from people.
03:13:55.240 And then on the other side, if you don't agree with him politically, you know, Trump
03:13:59.040 derangement syndrome is very real for some.
03:14:01.620 But, you know, the one thing I can say tonight is there'll be plenty of time to to sort out whatever issues may exist as it relates to, you know, are we doing enough in terms of securing an entire perimeter?
03:14:18.840 in this case, it would be an entire hotel. You know, I think moving forward, if we had to go
03:14:24.480 back before this night, I think every inch of that hotel needed to be swept. And that would mean
03:14:30.960 every room, every crevice, every corner, every single place. And I think that we learned that
03:14:39.060 in Butler. We learned that at Trump International. And unfortunately, we're learning it again
03:14:43.080 tonight. We cannot risk this anymore. This has got to change. Yeah. Sean, it is always a pleasure
03:14:50.400 to talk to you. Thank you so much, sir. Thanks, Jonathan. Appreciate it. Great job. A consequential
03:14:56.820 president. Like him or not, he is certainly a consequential president. We're joined now by
03:15:02.040 Fox News correspondent David Spunt, who is live at the White House with the latest from there.
03:15:06.660 I'm not supposed to go to bed.
03:15:08.540 Guys, Fox News president Trump, the first lady, other members of the cabinet spoke tonight here in the White House brief.
03:15:16.860 I've been live streaming Fox News for three hours now.
03:15:19.520 They haven't gone to commercial yet.
03:15:21.120 Also acting attorney general, Todd Blanche.
03:15:23.560 Thank God everyone is safe.
03:15:25.520 It was a frightening night for those that were at the dinner.
03:15:27.980 I was at the dinner as well.
03:15:29.200 Secret Service Director Sean Curran, who I will note, was standing next to President Trump when he was hit in Butler, Pennsylvania in the summer of 2024.
03:15:39.680 He's now the Secret Service Director.
03:15:41.380 He just put out a statement, and I want to read it.
03:15:43.960 He says, tonight we saw exactly why our brave men and women do each and every day to protect our protectees.
03:15:49.700 It's not easy, and I will tell you that they performed admirably.
03:15:52.640 We got to see what they do, and that individual, when he charged a checkpoint, was apprehended.
03:15:57.000 It shows that our multi-layered protection works, and I'm grateful to our partners that help assist us with building these sites and protecting these sites.
03:16:07.780 That coming from Secret Service Director Sean Curran, who was on the president's personal detail.
03:16:12.360 But certainly behind the scenes, there will be a lot of discussions with the Secret Service about how this cannot happen again.
03:16:19.900 The Secret Service did an excellent job tonight.
03:16:22.100 One of the agents was actually shot but had a bulletproof vest and is okay.
03:16:26.240 we're we're all grateful for that uh but the question is the security at the hotel as sean
03:16:31.840 was just talking about and the dc interim police my browser crashed wait give me a moment here
03:16:52.640 all right let me let me bring back the let me bring back the visual here my browser crashed
03:17:02.880 Sorry, guys.
03:17:17.520 Any more, any more clues about motive or anything from your extensive sources at DOJ?
03:17:26.040 Nothing yet.
03:17:27.100 And on stories like this, we always want to be careful, but nothing yet.
03:17:30.320 uh i suspect that we will hear fairly soon uh in the coming days and whatnot and i will add
03:17:36.560 this about the security posture uh something that is kind of it's true like you know it was only
03:17:42.880 like a few months ago that we would have these like you know documentary watch parties and uh
03:17:49.760 yeah yeah dr cobra you're you're one of the ogs you're one of the ogs from when i was just
03:17:56.160 starting my channel so yeah so uh clearly the security apparatus is going to pick up uh greatly
03:18:07.920 even more uh for their visit now for the royal visit because of what happened in america just a
03:18:12.560 few hours ago jonathan absolutely that's a really good point david and david i don't want to leave
03:18:16.640 you without asking you uh how are you doing that's it's a terrifying thing to have gone through uh
03:18:24.320 Are you okay? I'm okay. Thank you very much for asking. I was talking to a colleague. I heard
03:18:29.200 four gunshots, boom, boom, boom, boom. We got down to the floor immediately. People started
03:18:34.660 screaming to get down. We did that, made sure everybody was okay. Eventually, we got back up.
03:18:40.000 We all got out of the building as soon as we could, but certainly was a traumatic experience.
03:18:44.860 No question. I'm just glad that everybody's okay. That's the most important thing of the night
03:18:48.960 That everybody, including that officer, is okay and they have their suspect.
03:18:53.740 All right, guys.
03:18:54.680 So I think I'm going to end it here because we pretty much have all the news that's, like, breaking.
03:19:02.360 And, guys, remember, we broke the news before it was on Fox News.
03:19:06.280 So we broke the news about President Trump's truth social posts and, you know, a whole bunch of other things as well.
03:19:12.860 So, um, I think we're going to end it here because I feel like, uh, you know, the rest
03:19:17.600 of the night is just going to be sort of like a repeat and filler and things like that.
03:19:21.940 Right.
03:19:22.400 So, um, thank you everyone for joining.
03:19:26.020 Um, this is not Iran revolution live.
03:19:28.860 This is the Goldie show, but I'll be back tomorrow for Iran revolution live.
03:19:33.560 So make sure you like, and subscribe because, uh, you know, this is a pro America, pro Iran,
03:19:39.100 pro-israel channel and uh in honor of americans i will play america f yeah but i'm going to play
03:19:49.900 the clean version not the uncensored version because we have a lot of newbies and it's too
03:19:57.380 late guys it's too late to eat my cookie i'm gonna save it for tomorrow but guys i'm just i'm just
03:20:04.940 happy that, uh, president Trump is safe and I'm, you know, I'm happy that everyone is okay. Um,
03:20:13.280 so, you know, ultimately, even though this was like a crazy leftist attack from a deranged leftist 0.94
03:20:20.540 freak, um, thankfully no one was injured and the left just keeps on exposing themselves. So, 0.94
03:20:28.360 all right, we'll see you guys tomorrow. And as always, I'm Israel. Hi, God bless America.
