00:00:00.000 Mr. Speaker, on Saturday, March 23rd, I had the distinct pleasure of welcoming the Premier

00:00:10.800 of Ontario to the beautiful riding of Carleton as he joined me for a tour of the Osgoode Care

00:00:15.720 Centre in Metcalfe. I want to thank Laurie Norris Dudley, the President and CEO of the

00:00:21.180 Osgoode Care Centre, Dave Eggett, the Chair of the Osgoode Care Centre, and Gino Milito,

00:00:26.400 the chair of the Osgoode Ward Business Association, for helping me organize a

00:00:30.840 fantastic visit of their facilities for the Premier. The Osgoode Care Centre is

00:00:35.880 a not-for-profit long-term care home in the riding, often regarded as one of the

00:00:40.220 finest in the province. It is one of the jewels of Carleton, Mr. Speaker, a place

00:00:44.940 that becomes a new home for residents and their families, where they and their

00:00:49.020 family members are welcomed with open arms. It was so great to see the joy on

00:00:53.760 the faces of the residents, frontline workers, volunteers, staff, and key community stakeholders

00:00:59.660 who have been involved in the Osgoode Care Centre for decades when they had an opportunity

00:01:04.000 to speak with the Premier and grab a few photos.

00:01:07.140 I particularly like the photo that I took with Vera Mitchell, who I have adopted as

00:01:10.920 my grandmother, and the Premier, one of us flagging her on either side.
