Goldie Ghamari - Why Iran Can NEVER Accept Trump's Deal

The push for a deal to end the war with Iran continues, as Iran launches missiles towards the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, questions on whether a ceasefire will be extended persist as strikes between Lebanon and Israel continue. Aaron Cohen is an Israeli special ops veteran and the founder of Gideon, an organization dedicated to bringing peace to the region. Goldie Gamari is an Iranian-born human rights activist whose family fled Iran after an assassination attempt against her father.

00:00:00.000 you're talking about 47 years of getting away with whatever they wanted I mean we should this

00:00:09.840 should have been done long ago this should have been done by other presidents or other countries

00:00:14.400 doesn't have to be us other countries all right so the push for a deal to end the war with Iran

00:00:19.960 continues U.S. forces intercepted multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones late last night

00:00:25.700 They launch towards the Strait of Hormuz.

00:00:28.600 Meanwhile, questions on whether a ceasefire will be extended persist as strikes between Lebanon and Israel continue.

00:00:35.800 Aaron Cohen is an Israeli special ops veteran and the founder of Gideon.

00:00:40.220 Goldie Gamari is an Iranian-born human rights activist whose family fled Iran after an assassination attempt against her father.

00:00:48.500 So, Goldie, you know, the president says Iran now has about 21, 22 percent of their missiles left.

00:00:55.700 can the IRGC hold out before making a deal or are they just content just running out the clock as

00:01:00.960 long as they can? So I don't think the Islamic regime can hold out much longer. Their strategy 0.94

00:01:06.900 for the last 47 years has been to delay, delay, delay in order to wait out the, you know, whichever

00:01:12.860 president is being very tough on them. So in this case, the Islamic regime is hoping to delay 0.96

00:01:18.060 and they're hoping that, you know, maybe a weaker president or a Democrat comes into power because 0.85

00:01:23.200 Democrats have historically been more in line with keeping the IRGC around.

00:01:29.480 President Trump is currently putting a very strong pressure tactic on them.

00:01:33.120 The deal that he wants the Islamic regime to sign is one that they simply cannot and will not accept

00:01:37.880 because one of the core foundational pillars of the Islamic regime is this never-ending jihad against the United States. 0.91

00:01:44.520 I cannot realistically see the Islamic regime agreeing to allow American troops to come in to remove the enriched uranium. 0.83

00:01:52.080 So, Aaron, are we kind of in the final phase here between Iran and the U.S. in making a deal? 0.81

00:01:59.400 Or, I mean, what's your thinking on this?

00:02:03.160 Well, it's good to see you.

00:02:04.580 I think the biggest mistake that a lot of analysts out there keep making with these negotiations is that Iran has any leverage.

00:02:11.240 They don't.

00:02:12.260 The regime has taken significant military, economic, and political damage.

00:02:17.920 Its missile inventory is completely depleted.

00:02:19.980 the economy is under a catastrophic amount of strain, and its proxy network has been battered.

00:02:27.680 So even now, we're seeing continued tensions, which we're seeing with the Strait of Hormuz.

00:02:34.620 But at the end of the day, my view is simple. Iran has been hit so hard at this point,

00:02:39.620 I think President Trump is just trying to find a mediator to put together some type of deal.

00:02:46.100 He understands, as Goldie said, that the regime is an Islamic fundamentalist terror group that's been raining terror in the region for 37 years.

00:02:55.260 They're not negotiating because it wants peace.

00:02:58.540 They're negotiating because it needs relief. 0.93

00:03:01.520 Iran's only weapon left is time and delay. 0.88

00:03:05.800 That's all they have left. 0.99

00:03:07.280 And so I think we're close.

00:03:10.020 We're giving it to them, right?

00:03:11.660 Yeah, we're giving it to them, and I think that we're close.

00:03:13.780 but i think that kinetic operations are very close in the back of president trump's head which is

00:03:20.700 they cannot have a nuclear weapon they cannot rebuild their missile arsenal and all of this

00:03:26.620 is connected to israel by the way in hezbollah so the the proxy network needs to be shut down

00:03:32.640 as well and so i think trump is being patient but i think kinetic is like that close to moving back

00:03:38.080 to the operational phase because i agree with goldie you cannot negotiate with fundamentalists

00:03:42.020 They just it's not the way they're wired. All right. So let me ask Aaron and I'll get to you in a second.

00:03:48.080 Let me ask you about Israel. You brought that up. Right. So you have a Pew research study found that 67 percent of people surveyed across 36 countries have an unfavorable view of Israel.

00:04:00.440 And that includes, of course, here in the United States. Now, I mean, it's just topsy turvy. 0.90

00:04:04.860 The unfavorability went up. Favorability went down. Why is this happening?

00:04:09.640 uh because it's a propaganda success story for its enemies uh the pew polling doesn't surprise

00:04:16.580 me israel's been fighting a military war and an information war simultaneously we've never seen

00:04:21.240 this in the history of warfare before with the invention of the cell phones and social medias

00:04:24.580 there's thousands of bot farms out there in turkey and iran russia china i i can't get into the full

00:04:31.000 funnel of it and i but i can tell you that the challenge is that israel's enemies only need a

00:04:37.300 viral image and that's what's happened yeah it's you're right with the with the bot farms and

00:04:43.120 everything else you don't know what to believe on some of this stuff goldie so fifa is planning to

00:04:48.460 ban the pre-revolution iranian flag from stadiums at this year's world cup here in north america

00:04:54.040 right so what tell me what is so controversial about the lion and the sun there uh there's

00:05:01.300 absolutely nothing controversial about it whatsoever i mean to put this in perspective

00:05:04.800 Imagine if during World War II, FIFA said that the flag of Germany is banned, but the flag of Nazi Germany, the swastika, is allowed.

00:05:14.620 That's exactly what's happening right now. 0.93

00:05:16.400 The flag of the Islamic regime is the flag of terrorists. 0.87

00:05:19.240 It's the equivalent of the flag of Nazi Germany. 0.86

00:05:22.300 And FIFA is unfortunately and very shamefully taking the side of Islamic terrorists that have murdered over 40,000 innocent unarmed Iranians in just two days alone, January 8 and 9. 0.84

00:05:33.880 But one thing I can tell you is that, you know, we Iranians, we have not survived 47 years of Islamic oppression by remaining silent.

00:05:41.120 And in fact, His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, who's the, you know, leader of the Iranian opposition,

00:05:48.740 he has put out a call for Iranians to go to the FIFA stadium wherever the matches are happening

00:05:55.480 and to take the lion and sun flag with them so that we can demonstrate to the world who we are and what we're fighting for. 0.78

00:06:03.460 Because the Lion and Sun flag, that emblem has existed for thousands of years, and it will exist for thousands of years longer after we eradicate the Islamic regime off the face of the earth. 0.95

00:06:15.620 Yeah, it's like the Don't Tread on Me flag here in the United States, which was the symbol of freedom and revolution from England. 0.99

00:06:23.820 And, of course, that became a, you know, as the left loves to do, that became a symbol of hate.

00:06:28.840 And that's why I have the Lion and Sun flag on top of my head.

00:06:32.160 I saw that. Yeah, I was going to mention that. Hey, thank you both. Enjoy the weekend.

00:06:36.360 Thank you so much. Thank you so much.
