In this episode, I discuss the Iranian protests and the Canadian government's response to them. I talk about the similarities between the situation in Iran and what's going on in Canada and the trucker protest in Canada, and why they have a lot in common.

00:00:00.000 and began gunning them down for speaking out against the government.
00:00:05.020 You're so close. You're really, really close here.
00:00:07.640 So I don't think there's any convoy people who are saying what's happening in Iran
00:00:12.380 of police gunning a whole bunch of people down is the same as the trucker convoy.
00:00:18.620 However, there are commonalities there, and hopefully you can recognize them.
00:00:24.060 People are speaking out against the government for not wanting to wear something,
00:00:28.360 not wanting to take a medical procedure to keep their job.
00:00:32.860 And if you don't think that people have ended up killing themselves
00:00:36.040 or dying in some other way based on the lockdowns in Canada,
00:00:39.680 well, you know, that's your opinion. I disagree with it.
00:00:42.920 I think what the government, this regime, has put us through in Canada
00:00:46.440 has been horribly, horribly destructive in many ways.
00:00:49.620 But of course, I'm pretty sure every single trucker convoy person you would speak to
00:00:53.760 would say, yeah, it's obviously worse in Iran.
00:00:56.380 But ironically, convoy people probably have more in common
00:01:00.820 with the people protesting in Iran than they do people like you who oppose the convoy, right?
00:01:07.280 Because how did this regime in Iran come to be? 1.00
00:01:12.220 Well, it's because of assholes like you who support regimes on their rise. 1.00
00:01:18.100 And I would argue the Trudeau or the Canadian regime 1.00
00:01:21.440 was certainly flexing their authoritarian muscles to see what they could get away with.
00:01:26.660 Of course, not overnight.
00:01:28.060 It's going to happen where someone who's unmasked or unjabbed is going to get shot. 0.68
00:01:32.540 But they did get trampled with police horses.
00:01:35.840 They did get their bank accounts frozen.
00:01:38.260 They did get shot at with, like, I don't know, some tear gas grenades from police,
00:01:43.100 beaten with batons, wrongfully arrested, wrongfully thrown in jail.
00:01:46.820 I personally was actually put on a rap sheet to not speak to Randy Hillier,
00:01:51.480 who had a whole bunch of fake trumped-up charges.
00:01:53.740 People are being thrown in jail for speaking up against the government.
00:01:57.540 So it's very easy to have sympathy for the corrupt regime in Iran
00:02:02.380 and also for the corrupt regime in Canada.
00:02:05.200 Oh, wait, no, you don't have any sympathy towards that.
00:02:07.320 You hate convoy people, right?
00:02:08.880 So who's the one being unsympathetic here?
00:02:10.900 I'm so tired of this argument of, well, it's worse over there.
00:02:15.940 Someone died over there.
00:02:16.920 Like, what are they complaining?
00:02:17.920 Like, what are we complaining about?
00:02:19.360 It's a weird excuse to just not have sympathy for, like, what's going on in your backyard
00:02:24.620 and to dismiss what is clearly an authoritarian, you know, behavior that's growing within the Canadian government.
00:02:35.560 Because the Iranian regime didn't just pop up overnight. 1.00
00:02:38.960 Again, it's because of assholes like you who say, 1.00
00:02:42.540 oh, well, hey, it's not that bad here in Iran. 1.00
00:02:45.180 Look what's going on in Yemen, okay?
00:02:47.260 Our regime's not that bad. 1.00
00:02:48.540 Shut the fuck up and put your kneecap on, right? 1.00
00:02:52.040 Right. 1.00
