00:00:00.000 All right, I am here with Tim.
00:00:02.780 Tim, you have all of the like political red pills in this country on the side of your truck.
00:00:08.280 You even got Bill C-36 on there.
00:00:10.900 Everything's on there. It's not my trailer though. I'm just pulling it for a friend of mine.
00:00:14.220 What can Canadians do to better support truckers?
00:00:17.940 It's not all just about truckers. It's all of us. We're all in this together.
00:00:22.820 It's all the mandates and everything.
00:00:25.460 As a trucker, yeah, you need to be able to cross the border with all that, but it's our freedom.
00:00:29.160 It's everybody's freedom. It's not just ours.
00:00:32.240 And then when you come across from Alberta to here and you go through Saskatchewan and Manitoba and even into Ontario,
00:00:37.020 you see there's thousands of people standing on the side of the road in minus 30 degrees.
00:00:42.160 Everybody's upset with what's going on.
00:00:44.140 The money wasted that, as far as I'm concerned, the politicians on both sides.
00:00:50.240 They're no good. I don't know what we do.
00:00:52.200 We got to do something to fix that problem because it seems like they get in and then they forget.
00:00:56.560 Like, they work for us. We don't work for them. 0.81
00:00:59.720 And I don't know how you can convince people to... I don't know. We got to do something.
00:01:05.600 And just like on your truck, it's just one thing after another.
00:01:08.940 It just piles up and piles up and piles up and then this was the end of it. Thank you.
00:01:14.020 No, one's good. One's good. It just piles up until people are upset enough that it turns to this.
00:01:22.740 And then, you know, the local news, even our news at home, they're telling my friends,
00:01:27.960 yeah, there's a thousand trucks coming in, maybe 5,000 people.
00:01:30.740 Like, there's about 80 or 100,000 trucks coming and there could be a million people here by tonight or tomorrow, right?
00:01:40.460 Yeah, yeah.
00:01:40.780 But they're playing it down. Like, it's not happening.
00:01:43.360 Well, the one cop that told me I couldn't come up here, he said,
00:01:46.460 well, we weren't expecting this many trucks. How many more are coming?
00:01:49.720 I said, buddy, I'm the second truck in the convoy.
00:01:52.400 Hey, you better get things opened up because there's like 50,000 or 60,000 behind me coming.
00:01:58.800 You're the second of the world record-breaking convoy.
00:02:04.840 Yeah.
00:02:06.120 Yeah.
00:02:06.760 Feels pretty good.
00:02:07.640 Feels pretty good, eh?
00:02:08.840 Yeah.
00:02:09.540 Oh, yeah.
00:02:10.820 Yeah, I've been driving 40 years.
00:02:12.880 Okay.
00:02:13.460 And I never thought I'd be parked looking at the parlor in the buildings with a big truck behind me.
00:02:18.580 And you're a Canadian trucker who's based out west, is that right?
00:02:21.780 Yeah, out of Rosemary, Alberta.
00:02:24.080 Right.
00:02:24.440 And I think the biggest thing is, is there's a lot of guys that aren't vaxxed that go south.
00:02:29.040 And if they come back to Canada, they want you to unload and quarantine for 14 days.
00:02:33.900 Well, I'm quarantined in my truck.
00:02:37.120 Yeah.
00:02:37.400 And you know what?
00:02:37.900 Yeah.
00:02:40.200 I've had the flu.
00:02:41.940 Yeah, COVID's bad.
00:02:44.800 If I get it, I could die.
00:02:46.560 But whatever. 0.96
00:02:47.320 I'm not living with a mask on my face and sticking shots in my arm every frickin' three months. 0.56
00:02:53.140 Yeah.
00:02:54.040 I'm just not, I'm not doing it.
00:02:55.460 Yeah.
00:02:55.660 I'm not doing it.
00:02:56.440 Yeah.
00:02:56.780 So, what do you really need from Trudeau?
00:03:01.180 I need them to quit.
00:03:03.940 Yeah.
00:03:04.320 I need, I, there needs to be a whole shake-up in the whole, in everything.
00:03:08.060 Both sides.
00:03:09.200 Like, I don't know where we're going to find honest people to run this country, but we're
00:03:12.940 going to have to do it because a lot of them here aren't honest.
00:03:16.980 And I mean, even, even, like I said, our own frickin' conservative, conservatives out in
00:03:21.180 Alberta, they look to us and lie at us, right on the news to us.
00:03:25.440 Like, the other day they said, oh yeah, we kind of misreported.
00:03:29.000 Like, over 60% of the COVID cases were actually somebody came in with something else wrong
00:03:35.100 and we tested them and they tested positive, so we called it a COVID case.
00:03:39.800 Yeah, yeah.
00:03:40.100 Even though they weren't second and we sent them home with that broken finger, they got
00:03:43.700 roved down as a COVID case.
00:03:45.200 Yeah, yeah.
00:03:46.400 I mean, I watched that on the news from our health minister and our premier, and I'm,
00:03:51.620 what am I supposed to believe that comes out of their mouth anymore?
00:03:54.800 And that's conservatives.
00:03:55.660 I love Pierre Polyev.
00:03:57.380 I watch him all the time.
00:03:59.000 He don't pull no punches, but who knows what he would do if he got in, right?
00:04:04.300 It seems like once this thing was getting super popular, all of a sudden, Aaron O'Toole
00:04:09.800 was like, I'm going to go talk to truckers.
00:04:12.220 How does that make you feel?
00:04:12.920 Thank you very much.
00:04:14.280 Thank you.
00:04:15.080 I love watch.
00:04:16.140 That's awesome.
00:04:16.980 Oh, that's awesome.
00:04:17.760 You've been getting money.
00:04:19.000 And was this just a donation or?
00:04:21.100 Because you have to adopt the truckers. 0.99
00:04:23.360 You have to adopt the truckers. 1.00
00:04:25.160 Like, you know what we've done?
00:04:26.660 We've donated.
00:04:27.240 We've come, but they're going to be here maybe for a while, so we need to still.
00:04:31.020 That's right.
00:04:31.640 That's right.
00:04:32.220 We haven't paid $1 for any food or anything since I left home, and I've been turning stuff
00:04:37.620 down because people will come and say, take a lunch.
00:04:39.940 I said, I got one.
00:04:41.040 Well, we got $1,500.
00:04:42.300 And I said, I can only eat one a day.
00:04:45.180 I mean, none of us in this whole convoy have spent $1 on fuel, on fuel.
00:04:50.960 Food or, well, fuel I have, but we might get it back or whatever.
00:04:55.040 But like I said, I got friends that give me money, and she just gave me $100.
00:04:58.140 Like, I'm to the point now almost that I'm going to put one tank in it, and if I can't
00:05:02.820 put $1,500 of fuel in my truck to come and protest what's going on in the government,
00:05:07.080 I might as well stay home and hide in my basement or something, I guess.
00:05:11.220 I don't know.
00:05:12.380 Did you get any money from the GoFundMe?
00:05:14.960 No, not yet, but I'm not even going to ask for any because, like I said, I've got enough
00:05:19.520 money from my friends to cover my fuel.
00:05:22.360 Yeah.
00:05:23.520 Any of the leftover money from the GoFundMe is going to the vets.
00:05:27.120 Nice.
00:05:27.320 And I can almost guarantee you that when this is all said and done, we're going to give
00:05:31.180 more money to the vets than the government has in the last, I don't know how many years
00:05:35.060 because they don't take care of our vets, right? 0.97
00:05:36.940 That's huge.
00:05:37.240 And they don't take care of a lot of people in Canada.
00:05:39.240 Yep.
00:05:39.420 We're too busy sending our money everywhere trying to get a seat on the UN or something.
00:05:43.560 I don't know what they're doing, but they just sent $125 million to Ukraine.
00:05:48.340 What do you think you could do with that in Ottawa with the homeless or in Calgary?
00:05:51.720 Absolutely.
00:05:52.200 You know, you could do lots.
00:05:53.460 And that's the last thing they did.
00:05:56.480 They've wasted money terribly and me and you were paying for it.
00:05:59.820 I noticed you got, not moccasins.
00:06:03.540 Yeah, moccasins.
00:06:04.380 Moccasins?
00:06:04.920 Yeah.
00:06:05.180 Tell me about that.
00:06:06.140 No, they're comfortable.
00:06:07.280 They're driving.
00:06:08.240 They're warm.
00:06:09.060 When it's minus 35 outside, you need something warm on your feet.
00:06:12.000 And I don't like wearing shoes because I don't wear shoes in my truck.
00:06:15.380 Most of these guys don't.
00:06:17.200 So, they're like our houses, right?
00:06:18.700 Yeah.
00:06:18.920 So, finally, this is a big final question.
00:06:22.620 What did you give up to be here?
00:06:25.740 Well, I gave up my job for a couple weeks.
00:06:28.880 My kid's still at home hauling cows.
00:06:31.020 I hauled cows for a living and he's working away.
00:06:34.160 But I gave up two weeks of wages and time with my wife and my kids and my grandkids and all my friends and ice fishing.
00:06:42.400 I love ice fishing.
00:06:43.620 My buddies are probably out there catching them right now and I'm sitting in my truck.
00:06:46.860 But whatever, it's worth it.
00:06:49.080 It's well worth it.
00:06:50.120 I don't know if you know Mark Friesen, but one time he gave a speech to try to wake people up about all that's going on.
00:06:55.960 And he's like, I should be in a canoe right now.
00:06:58.480 Yeah, same thing. 0.96
00:06:59.280 I should be out in my old piece of crap camper on the lake with a hole in the floor looking at the woodburn and soul catching fish and eating pike. 0.99
00:07:07.420 Absolutely. 0.99
00:07:08.000 But I'm not.
00:07:08.580 I'm here.
00:07:09.200 And what does the next, if they don't reverse the mandates, what do you think it's going to look like?
00:07:14.880 What are you willing to give up?
00:07:16.540 Are you in it for the long haul?
00:07:18.920 For here?
00:07:19.660 Yeah.
00:07:19.940 Well, I got to be home.
00:07:23.420 I can't sit here forever.
00:07:24.960 Yeah.
00:07:25.240 I told my wife I'd be home probably by the 20th.
00:07:27.780 Okay.
00:07:28.040 Now, the cop that brought me up here told me he was going to give me two days.
00:07:33.040 Otherwise, they were going to arrest me.
00:07:35.820 Because they were going to shoot me back down to about five blocks. 0.99
00:07:38.800 Shoot you? 0.58
00:07:39.340 But he had his hand on his gun. 1.00
00:07:41.040 Come on.
00:07:41.600 Oh, yeah.
00:07:42.180 I said, I ain't stopping you.
00:07:43.220 I said, you think I followed that guy for 4,000 kilometers to stop?
00:07:46.400 I can see the parliament buildings?
00:07:47.980 Yeah. 1.00
00:07:48.380 Go ahead and shoot me. 1.00
00:07:49.580 Yeah, yeah. 1.00
00:07:50.180 It's freedom or death, buddy.
00:07:52.280 Take your pick.
00:07:53.080 But I'll tell you what. 1.00
00:07:53.980 You pull that gun on me and shoot me? 1.00
00:07:56.360 Yeah. 1.00
00:07:56.880 Maybe even, who knows?
00:07:58.640 Yeah.
00:07:58.860 I don't got a gun.
00:07:59.980 So, like, you're shooting an innocent guy, man.
00:08:02.240 I just, I'm just following along. 0.99
00:08:04.180 A good Canadian boy like you wanting to shoot. 0.99
00:08:06.560 Come on. 1.00
00:08:07.200 That's ridiculous. 0.98
00:08:08.100 Yeah. 0.88
00:08:08.460 So, then the last officer that came up, he said, you can't go up there.
00:08:14.080 He said, it's full.
00:08:15.420 Yeah.
00:08:15.720 And I said, well, that guy's going up there.
00:08:17.960 And he said, that guy's not pulling a 53-foot trailer.
00:08:20.420 And I said, well, I'm not that guy.
00:08:22.160 And I can pull that 53-foot trailer up there.
00:08:24.320 I said, don't worry about that, partner.
00:08:25.920 Awesome.
00:08:26.220 So, he made some room, and he said, well, if you get up in there, he said, you're going
00:08:30.180 to be blocked in.
00:08:31.040 And I said, that's fine.
00:08:32.460 I said, I can back out of here in the middle of the night when there's no one down here.
00:08:35.700 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:08:36.260 I'm good with that.
00:08:37.540 Awesome.
00:08:37.740 So, he let me come up.
00:08:39.040 Because I said, buddy, I'm going to the Barland buildings.
00:08:41.340 I don't care.
00:08:42.540 I have a really good friend that owns this trailer.
00:08:45.000 And he's basically dying from cancer.
00:08:47.380 And he hasn't been jabbed.
00:08:50.140 Okay.
00:08:50.860 And his doctors told him if they do jab him, he probably won't make it.
00:08:54.080 So, what's the point?
00:08:54.780 And so, I said, his trailer is going to the front of the Barland buildings.
00:08:59.840 Thanks, man.
00:09:00.460 Is there anything else you want to add?
00:09:01.880 No, that's it.
00:09:02.680 Just good luck for our country, and I hope something happens.
00:09:06.200 I don't know.
00:09:06.820 Yeah?
00:09:07.340 I don't know what to do.
00:09:09.420 Awesome.
00:09:10.180 I mean, Justin's upset enough people, bad enough that he should almost step down.
00:09:16.120 But I don't know what you're replacing him with.
00:09:18.860 We're in a bad spot, right?
00:09:20.320 We're in a really bad spot.
00:09:21.620 That's true.
00:09:21.940 On either side.
00:09:23.080 It doesn't matter.
00:09:23.840 Conservative, NDP, Liberal, the Block.
00:09:27.040 It doesn't matter.
00:09:27.760 Like, I don't know what we're going to...
00:09:29.320 But this, like, there's a lot of people here.
00:09:33.440 Yeah.
00:09:34.100 Yeah, yeah.
00:09:34.460 There's a lot of people here.
00:09:35.500 Awesome.
00:09:35.840 And the people on the overpasses, and the people, like I said, in the ditches, you know,
00:09:39.880 the 1008s were the best.
00:09:42.220 They come to the number one highway from all over Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and they were
00:09:46.120 out there in the minus 32, and the wind was blowing, and they were losing their minds
00:09:49.500 when we went by.
00:09:50.360 Yeah, yeah.
00:09:50.760 Like, something's got to change, right?
00:09:54.240 Awesome.
00:09:54.780 Thanks so much for your time.
00:09:56.480 Thanks a lot, eh?
