00:00:00.000 What would you say if I told you that this elbows up Canada Strong movement wasn't actually about helping the Canadian people at all?
00:00:08.540 You've probably seen it by now. A lot of liberal boomers are getting super hyped up about hating America or about Mark Carney and the liberals or something or just not being America.
00:00:19.020 It's very unclear. Is this movement about just hating Donald Trump? Is it about protecting our economic interests? Is it about protecting our Canadian people?
00:00:29.480 Oh, we run into some problems there because we can't really decide who our people are.
00:00:35.200 What do I mean? Well, nearly half of Canadians favor mass deportations and 65% think there are too many immigrants.
00:00:41.340 And on top of that, there's going to be nearly 5 million people with expiring visas who are expected to voluntarily leave Canada in the next year.
00:00:49.780 That'll be one eighth of the Canadian population here illegally.
00:00:54.820 So when we say like, yeah, Canadian people, what do we actually mean?
00:00:58.820 The people who just got here or the people who helped protect and build this country historically?
00:01:04.440 And what would happen if there was a group of young men who were standing up for the people who were here historically and built this country?
00:01:12.640 Well, spoiler alert, they're going to get called right-wing extremists.
00:01:16.860 This photo was posted on Twitter over the weekend. It was in front of a cenotaph in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
00:01:22.640 These young men say, our people, our home, our future.
00:01:25.080 They got a red end sign on their flag and some of them are wearing masks.
00:01:28.840 The local MP, Darren Fisher, has chimed in and says, let's be clear, this was not a peaceful protest.
00:01:34.300 There is no peace in hate. There is no excuse, no justification, no room for neutrality.
00:01:38.720 This was a white supremacist hate rally and we must call it what it is.
00:01:41.200 And I'm kind of left puzzled. Okay, so like how, it looks like they just recorded a video and they're just standing there with a sign.
00:01:47.820 Like how, like how was this not peaceful?
00:01:50.640 And also where, where is the hate?
00:01:52.540 If you're prioritizing your people in your home, how is that hateful exactly?
00:01:58.420 Boom. Okay, there, there we go. Is that better?
00:02:01.180 You know, Jewish people, Jewish home, Jewish future, we're Zionists.
00:02:04.480 That's fine, right? That's totally fine.
00:02:06.260 We actually love that. Actually, if you would disagree with this, you're actually a Hamas terrorist, right? 0.88
00:02:11.220 Speaking of hatred though, let's see what some of the Facebook comments said. 0.96
00:02:14.480 Firing squads would be perfect here. 0.81
00:02:16.560 The best thing to do with them is drown them in ice cold water. 0.99
00:02:19.900 Man, are they looking to die showing up in Dartmouth?
00:02:22.560 All it takes is a couple phone calls and all those guys end up in the ER.
00:02:26.300 Oh my God.
00:02:27.000 Roping bricks for all of them, perfect time of year too.
00:02:30.320 Someone should pick them off one by one. 0.99
00:02:32.080 Boneheads, only good bonehead is a beaten and bloody bonehead. 1.00
00:02:36.840 So sorry, sorry. Who are the, who are the hateful ones again? 0.99
00:02:39.660 I'm just trying to keep up here.
00:02:41.060 I love this comment.
00:02:41.980 If you believe in something, why do you have to wear a mask? 1.00
00:02:44.580 Maybe you're a coward.
00:02:45.400 Or maybe these young men realize the insane amount of hatred and death threats they're going to get 1.00
00:02:50.560 for having a simple opinion.
00:02:51.940 The opinion or belief that Canada is a nation of people who have a specific culture, background, heritage,
00:02:59.060 ancestry, and ethnicity as signified by the red end sign. 0.97
00:03:03.220 Apparently that simple belief is enough to get people to want to kill you,
00:03:09.160 if you dare to have a sign that kind of denotes this, wanting to prioritize your own people.
00:03:15.040 The local MP also said for a hate group to rally there is an insult to that sacrifice
00:03:20.820 and an attack on the very values Canada stands for.
00:03:25.060 Does this MP really think that the names of the dead soldiers on this cenotaph
00:03:30.960 would agree with the post-nationalism of Trudeau and Pollyanna?
00:03:36.220 A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian.
00:03:38.180 Anyone from anywhere can do anything.
00:03:39.980 Doesn't matter if your name is Martin Umuha.
00:03:41.780 Doesn't matter if you just got here from Punjabi and don't speak English. 0.81
00:03:45.960 You're a Canadian too.
00:03:47.300 You think the men on that cenotaph who sacrificed their lives for this country,
00:03:51.780 you think they would agree with that?
00:03:53.200 No, the soldiers back then would have just been as liberal and progressive as us.
00:03:56.960 They would have loved Dragtime Story Hour. 0.98
00:03:59.540 And the thing is, folks, you're allowed to disagree with this.
00:04:01.980 You're allowed to disagree with their belief in what this nation is, being a nation of people.
00:04:06.800 However, it should be notable the amount of hatred that these men receive and why they do have to cover their face.
00:04:13.780 And I mean, isn't it interesting that we welcome all these protests about Israel, Palestine, Iran, all these foreign nations.
00:04:20.680 Those protests about foreign people's interests in foreign countries, we welcome that with open arms here in Canada. 1.00
00:04:26.920 But the second it's a domestic protest about the actual people who live here standing up for their actual rights here,
00:04:34.180 that gets branded as the worst possible, worst possible hatred.
00:04:38.040 We don't want the people who actually live here standing up for themselves.
00:04:41.160 Go stand up for some other country, not.
00:04:43.060 And this is nothing new.
00:04:44.140 We saw this at the Trucker Convoy when Canadian people stood up for their bodily autonomy and basic rights,
00:04:49.520 and they got branded as, once again, right-wing extremists.
00:04:52.880 And of course, inevitably, people are going to call them feds, and I think that's a way to discredit them and what their beliefs are.
00:05:00.300 No, they're not feds, although the feds will definitely try to infiltrate them.
00:05:03.440 And I do think that it is a valid criticism to say, like, is this the best approach to represent these ideas,
00:05:09.460 because the masks are a little scary for people.
00:05:12.300 But people are now talking about it.
00:05:14.400 Immigration, demographic change, this is something we should be mentioning during this election cycle.
00:05:19.020 I think Canadians are a distinct people. 1.00
00:05:20.680 Nope, sorry, you're hateful, we want to kill you, and also you're a fed. 1.00
00:05:24.340 Great. 1.00
