00:00:53.360 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's special edition of Human Events Daily
00:00:57.340 powered by Turning Point USA.
00:00:58.620 Today is April 27th, 2022.
00:01:02.080 Anno Domine.
00:01:03.020 Welcome to Human Events Special, the Durham investigation.
00:01:07.200 We're breaking this down into four segments the same way we usually do.
00:01:11.100 Segment one, crossfire hurricane and the indictment and sentencing of FBI lawyer Kevin
00:01:17.240 Clinesmith.
00:01:18.320 Next, the Steele dossier and Fusion GPS and the indictment of the Steele dossier source,
00:01:24.140 Igor Denchenko.
00:01:26.200 Third, Alpha Bank, Rodney Jaffe, Zeta Lytics, Georgia Tech.
00:01:31.740 What was the Alpha Bank scandal and how is it tied to so many of these individuals?
00:01:37.000 And finally, we are going to break down Perkins Coy and Michael Sussman, the current indictment.
00:01:43.020 We're taking you all the way back into the past and bringing you all the way back to the
00:01:46.940 future.
00:01:47.220 All of this and more ahead, Human Events Daily.
00:01:49.260 Putin is manipulating Donald.
00:02:02.040 Putin is a trained intelligence officer from the old KGB.
00:02:07.200 He knows he can use flattery to get into Donald's head to make Donald the Kremlin's puppet.
00:02:13.920 And it seems to be working.
00:02:15.260 Donald has signaled to Putin that he will let Russia do whatever it wants, from Ukraine
00:02:21.740 to Syria and beyond.
00:02:24.000 So ask yourself, why would Putin be trying to get Donald Trump elected president?
00:02:30.760 Could it be because of all the nice things Donald has said about him or the fact that
00:02:35.840 he has promised to adopt pro-Kremlin policies?
00:02:39.220 Or maybe because of the extensive business dealings with Russian oligarchs with ties to
00:02:47.260 Putin?
00:02:47.960 We are dealing with something unprecedented in the history of our country, a foreign adversary
00:02:55.160 trying to influence our presidential election.
00:02:59.380 So we all remember how it began.
00:03:01.280 Out of nowhere, in fall of 2016, suddenly people started saying that Donald J. Trump, an American
00:03:10.780 businessman, someone who had been in the public eye for decades, was all of a sudden an agent
00:03:17.220 of the foreign state of Russia, the Russian Federation.
00:03:21.740 Where did this come from?
00:03:22.840 How did we even get to this point?
00:03:26.700 At first, we thought it was just the normal political rhetoric that comes out from a desperate
00:03:31.060 candidate in a desperate campaign.
00:03:33.300 We know how that campaign ended.
00:03:35.580 But we later found that those claims and those elements were part of a wide-reaching operation
00:03:43.560 that spanned both the intelligence community and the mainstream corporate regime media.
00:03:51.040 regime media was working hand in glove with the regime in order, number one, to launch an
00:03:58.800 investigation of a candidate for president of the United States to use elements of the
00:04:05.740 regime, of the national security state, to surveil and implant spies.
00:04:12.920 Yeah, that's right.
00:04:13.720 I said it, spies inside that campaign, talking to these people, trying to find out what's going
00:04:20.040 on, digging up the dirt, then passing it to their allies in the regime media, who then
00:04:28.260 laundered it for political attacks.
00:04:31.140 After the inauguration, this continued.
00:04:34.920 So let's go back to the very beginning.
00:04:37.540 Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
00:04:39.720 This is what Durham is doing, by the way.
00:04:43.780 Durham is looking into every single one of these pots.
00:04:46.940 He's looking into the four pots, the four buckets, if you will, of corruption.
00:04:52.620 The four buckets of corruption.
00:04:55.680 So we've got bucket one, bucket two, bucket three, bucket four.
00:04:57.880 Bucket one, the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
00:05:01.720 And this, by the way, is from the DOJ's own reporting.
00:05:05.660 On July 31st, 2016, the FBI opened a Foreign Agent Registration Act investigation known as
00:05:12.660 Crossfire Hurricane into whether individuals associated with the Donald J.
00:05:16.620 Trump for President campaign were coordinating activities with the Russian government.
00:05:20.980 By August 16th, 2016, so just a couple months later, the FBI had opened cases under the Crossfire
00:05:27.100 Hurricane umbrella on four individuals, including an individual identified in this case.
00:05:32.100 Okay, we now later know that that was General Michael Flynn.
00:05:35.780 A lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith, was assigned to provide support to FBI personnel working on this.
00:05:42.440 They admit that he prepared applications for the FBI and the DOJ's National Security Division
00:05:48.780 to conduct surveillance under the FISA court.
00:05:52.820 During the investigation, there were a total, excuse me, this is Carter Page.
00:05:55.780 During the investigation, there were a total of four court-appointed FISA applications targeting Carter Page.
00:06:02.580 Each of the FISA applications alleged that there was probable cause.
00:06:07.240 We later found out that he had lied.
00:06:12.000 He had lied by changing the evidence, tampering the evidence in a filing to the secret FISA court.
00:06:18.340 Because when they asked him if Carter Page had ever been a source for the CIA, he said no.
00:06:25.480 But actually, the CIA had said yes.
00:06:28.820 Carter Page had, in the past, been a source for the CIA, and that's why he was traveling to Russia.
00:06:36.080 Kevin Clinesmith falsified the records, tampered with those documents,
00:06:41.520 in order to extend surveillance on Carter Page, because it wasn't about Carter Page.
00:06:47.460 It was about going after the campaign and going after Donald Trump.
00:06:54.440 I want to take a minute to talk about the fragile state of the U.S. dollar and what it means for you.
00:06:59.400 We are in a tough year, and it's getting tougher.
00:07:02.300 Biden's printing and spending could be catastrophic for the U.S. dollar and the market.
00:07:07.100 Now, we real patriots know that Bidenflation is the real pandemic, and it's getting worse.
00:07:13.040 That's why I recommend that you diversify with gold and silver now.
00:07:15.740 The only company I recommend is Allegiance Gold.
00:07:18.500 My friends at Allegiance Gold can help you protect your IRA or 401k with physical gold or silver,
00:07:24.260 or have it delivered straightly, securely, right to your door.

00:07:32.680 Allegiance Gold has the highest rating from a third-party consumer protection agencies.

00:07:43.360 Get $500 of free silver on a qualifying purchase when you tell them I sent you.
00:07:47.860 So don't wait. Call or click today.
00:07:49.880 Go to AllegianceGold.com slash POSO.
00:07:52.060 We can't control the Biden administration, but we can prepare.
00:07:55.240 AllegianceGold.com slash POSO.
00:07:59.160 The chairman gave a Russian intelligence officer the Trump campaign's internal strategy and polling data.
00:08:06.600 That Russian intelligence officer then gave it to his bosses in the Russian intelligence agencies.
00:08:12.840 And that presumably must have been very helpful to the Russian intelligence agencies
00:08:16.020 in their concerted, contemporaneous efforts to target their attacks on our election
00:08:21.840 to the maximum benefit of candidate Donald Trump.
00:08:24.680 Russian intelligence attacked us in 2016 to help the Trump campaign win that election.
00:08:34.360 We now know the Trump campaign secretly gave their own data to Russian intelligence in the middle of that attack,
00:08:41.080 which, again, presumably helped what the Russians were doing.
00:08:43.580 So we now know that this entire scandal was called Spygate, the spying of a candidate for president.
00:08:53.600 But it wasn't just the spying, because remember, the people behind this were trying to defeat him in the election for 2016.
00:09:01.980 It was all about the 2016 election when it started.
00:09:05.180 So when this thing kicked off, it wasn't enough for them to be able to just get the investigation going.
00:09:12.900 No, no, no.
00:09:13.920 They had to get it to the media.
00:09:16.560 So in order to collect this information, there was a two-pronged approach.
00:09:22.800 The campaign reached out to a law firm.
00:09:25.900 The law firm was called Perkins Coy.
00:09:27.560 They retained this firm, the lawyers at this firm, Mark Elias and Michael Sussman.
00:09:33.480 You've heard those names a lot.
00:09:35.100 Perkins Coy, in turn, goes and employs a group, an investigative group, called Fusion GPS, run by the corrupt Glenn Simpson.
00:09:46.080 Glenn Simpson turns around, right?
00:09:47.860 You following still?
00:09:48.740 It's a complete shell game.
00:09:50.740 Glenn Simpson turns around and hires Orbis Investigations.
00:09:55.000 Orbis is located in the U.K.
00:09:57.560 in London, and he brings on this guy named Christopher Steele.
00:10:01.760 And Christopher Steele, in turn, turns around and goes to a bunch of people that he knows from his time at MI6.
00:10:12.320 And those people included Igor Danchenko.
00:10:15.480 Igor Danchenko, who was working for the Brookings Institute, the same Brookings Institute that had Fiona Hill, right?
00:10:22.840 But we're not going to go down all the line on this.
00:10:25.340 But Igor Danchenko becomes the source for this dossier.
00:10:29.540 This thing is completely dirty.
00:10:31.460 The sources were made up in many cases.
00:10:33.440 There's Russian disinfo pouring throughout this entire thing.
00:10:37.540 That dossier gets sent to two places.
00:10:40.980 It first gets sent to the media.
00:10:44.680 It then, at the same time, gets sent to the national security state in order to get this investigation going.
00:10:54.520 Why?
00:10:54.800 Because Clinton wanted this investigation out there, number one, but also wanted to get the fact that it was happening in the media and on the headlines.
00:11:05.000 Remember, she's under investigation at this point for her email server and having classified information on there that she was then leaking all over the place from her personal house.
00:11:15.180 She wanted an investigation on Trump, and she wanted the headline out there.
00:11:21.820 Danchenko goes and gets asked about this.
00:11:25.280 He lies.
00:11:26.520 So listen to this.
00:11:27.240 Special counsel Durham's office announced that a federal grand jury returned an indictment in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia,
00:11:35.580 charging Igor Danchenko, a Russian citizen residing in Virginia, with five counts of making false statements to the FBI.
00:11:41.480 The charges in the indictment stem from statements by Danchenko relating to sources that he used in providing to a U.K. investigative firm.
00:11:48.640 Remember, that's Orbis.
00:11:49.740 That's Christopher Steele that prepared what are identified in the indictment as company reports.
00:11:54.340 The company reports that's known as the Steele dossier, the Steele dossier, which, of course, was completely fake,
00:12:01.440 and they were mixing information that was already publicly known with stuff that was completely false,
00:12:06.500 places they would find in, like, 4chan and, like, all sorts of just junk rumors that they were all compiling together
00:12:12.560 with false information about individuals like Sergei Millian and just completely, you know, completely raunchy stories.
00:12:20.180 But it was enough to pique the interest and the confirmation bias of the people in the media and the national security state.
00:12:28.380 These people like James Clapper, by the way, who goes around, wants desperately to maintain his position as the head of the entire national security state.
00:12:41.360 So he works with John Brennan, and they run around.
00:12:45.100 They run around the government with this dossier.
00:12:47.400 They're handing it to everybody.
00:12:48.820 They're handing it to McCain.
00:12:50.040 McCain gets a copy of it, right?
00:12:51.600 They're handing it to people that don't like Trump in the Republican Party.
00:12:54.960 They're handing it to people in the Democrat Party.
00:12:56.380 They're doing everything they can to get this story out there.
00:12:59.600 They're going to individual after individual in the media.
00:13:02.760 Michael Isikoff over at Yahoo News is one of the first people to bite into this poisoned apple,
00:13:08.760 and he starts writing it up, other people, Mother Jones, start writing it up.
00:13:12.440 But it doesn't get much of anywhere.
00:13:14.240 We'll talk about this in a minute until CNN finally bites in January of 2017 after the presidential election, but before the inauguration.
00:13:23.880 That's where CNN gets involved.
00:13:25.520 But you have to understand that it's Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele, and Igor Danchenko.
00:13:32.660 These are the people that Durham is digging into incredibly,
00:13:36.480 and he's pulling out email after email from the media directly with Fusion GPS because he's already got the indictment on Danchenko.
00:13:43.780 That's laid out.
00:13:45.080 And if he can find other instances of false statements or provable crimes, he's going to go for them because that's exactly what Durham is doing.
00:13:53.860 What we learned during the campaign was that very serious computer science experts,
00:14:00.860 people who work closely with the United States government,
00:14:05.020 had uncovered this secret hotline between the Alpha Bank, the Russian bank, and the Trump organization.
00:14:12.160 Now, of course, we didn't know for sure if, in fact, that were the case,
00:14:15.640 but we knew that it should be investigated,
00:14:17.700 and we knew that given how serious these computer scientists were,
00:14:20.940 they weren't just making up crackpot theories.
00:14:22.680 So it wasn't surprising to learn that even as of last week, the FBI is still looking into this.
00:14:27.640 And do you have any idea what they're looking for?
00:14:29.840 I don't.
00:14:30.420 Of course, I don't have a line into the FBI on this,
00:14:32.760 but what I know based on public reporting is that there is very unusual server activity
00:14:38.520 between this Russian bank and the Trump organization,
00:14:41.120 which suggests contact that took place over the course of the campaign.
00:14:44.820 Getting answers to what the nature of that contact was and why they were going to lengths to hide it,
00:14:52.160 to encrypt it, is really important, and the American people deserve answers.
00:14:55.700 And that was Jake Sullivan peddling what's come to be known as the Alpha Bank hoax.
00:15:01.660 Jake Sullivan, what's he doing now?
00:15:02.880 Oh, right, he's the White House national security advisor under President Biden.
00:15:08.340 You wonder why America's national security is falling apart in every single one of the sectors we're looking at,
00:15:13.680 whether it be the border, whether it be Afghanistan, whether it be Ukraine,
00:15:16.520 any of these national security disasters.
00:15:18.220 It's because he got people like Jake Sullivan who have no idea what they're doing
00:15:22.420 and have the mental acuity of some kind of, you know, field mouse actually running this thing.
00:15:29.560 He's a guy that was pushing this.
00:15:32.020 But what was the Alpha Bank hoax?
00:15:35.080 What was this indictment?
00:15:36.420 Why is it that Durham is looking so deeply into this?
00:15:40.460 Well, we saw this piece out of the Washington Post.
00:15:42.440 Actually, story-wise, this one didn't go very far because they're trying multiple things.
00:15:46.420 And Sussman and Perkins Coy, they're involved in all of them.
00:15:50.260 Fusion is involved in all of them.
00:15:52.480 The Alpha Bank hoax, and this was first reported in the Washington Post,
00:15:56.160 was that a server somewhere deep in the heart of Russia
00:15:59.780 was communicating secretly with another server at the Trump administration.
00:16:05.860 In fact, excuse me, the Trump organization, the Trump Tower itself.
00:16:11.440 My goodness, the Kremlin and Trump Tower.
00:16:13.940 It's so visual, right?
00:16:14.760 You know, it makes you feel like you're in a spy novel, right?
00:16:17.180 You go look at Isikoff's books and some of the other books about this.
00:16:19.820 They all look like they're some, like, Tom Clancy novel.
00:16:23.140 You know, and if you're from that generation, you know, it might speak directly to you.
00:16:26.680 But here's the thing.
00:16:28.080 It was completely fake.
00:16:29.160 A team of left-wing plagiarists and propagandists went in, essentially, and dummied the data.
00:16:40.960 They made fake data travel between the Trump Organization server and this Alpha Bank server,
00:16:48.920 and then dummied up a report and then sped that off, sent that off to people within our national security state
00:16:57.320 and people in the media to try to make it look as if it was real.
00:17:02.960 Here's what's crazy.
00:17:04.100 These included tech mogul, Rodney Jaffa, people at Georgia Tech, and a guy at a firm, a data firm, known as ZetaLytics.
00:17:15.580 Why were all of these people involved in faking up this data, in making it so false?
00:17:22.360 And there was even a researcher, by the way, and The Federalist has done great reporting on this,
00:17:27.420 and Margo Cleveland specifically had the exclusive, that one of the researchers,
00:17:32.480 and I believe he's from Georgia Tech, actually said at one point during this whole thing that,
00:17:37.560 you know, guys, I don't think this data says what you want it to say,
00:17:41.800 and yet you're claiming that this is some kind of secret communication,
00:17:45.180 but it's not.
00:17:45.900 This is just basic, you know, protocol packet switching.
00:17:49.260 This is not something that is any kind of nefarious activity whatsoever.
00:17:55.380 And yet it didn't matter.
00:17:56.200 It didn't matter because they were not making these reports to provide technical truth or technical accuracy.
00:18:03.760 They were doing so to cause an investigation to begin.
00:18:08.100 And we're going to get into this in a second because we're going to talk about James Baker,
00:18:13.380 the general counsel of the FBI, who was reached out to as part of this investigation.
00:18:18.640 James Baker, what is he doing now?
00:18:21.200 Oh, that's right.
00:18:22.140 He's the general counsel of Twitter itself.
00:18:25.400 Why is an FBI official, former FBI official from the Obama administration, now running Twitter?
00:18:34.280 I wonder, at least their legal side, and I wonder if Elon Musk, we already saw his comment the other day,
00:18:41.600 because Cernovich was posting about this, and Elon Musk says, doesn't look good.
00:18:46.840 Doesn't look good.
00:18:48.720 We want to get to the bottom of this.
00:18:50.380 And Elon Musk, get these people out of your company.
00:18:55.640 A CNN exclusive, CNN has learned that the nation's top intelligence officials provided information
00:19:02.380 to President-elect Donald Trump and to President Barack Obama last week
00:19:06.540 about claims of Russian efforts to compromise President-elect Trump.
00:19:11.520 The information was provided as part of last week's classified intelligence briefings
00:19:16.940 regarding Russian efforts to undermine the U.S. elections.
00:19:20.580 I've been working on this story with Jim Sciutto and Evan Perez and Carl Bernstein.
00:19:25.640 We've all been working on this, and they all join me now.
00:19:28.540 So let me start with my colleague, Jim Sciutto.
00:19:30.460 Jim, walk us through what we've learned.
00:19:32.560 I want to be very precise here.
00:19:34.100 Multiple U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the briefings tell CNN
00:19:37.500 that classified documents on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election
00:19:42.220 presented last week to President Obama and to President-elect Trump
00:19:45.920 included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal
00:19:50.860 and financial information about Mr. Trump.
00:19:54.060 So that's the clip right there.
00:19:55.760 Jake Tapper, Jim Sciutto, lying to the world about this dossier,
00:20:01.360 spreading the disinformation campaign, domestic propaganda to the American people.
00:20:08.180 By the way, that same Jake Tapper and Jim Sciutto later received an award for that report
00:20:15.300 that you just heard.
00:20:16.380 It was completely false.
00:20:18.340 It was part of the disinformation campaign, domestic propaganda.
00:20:21.280 They received an award for it from the White House Correspondents Association.
00:20:25.860 And I was in the room in 2018 watching them on stage get an award for disinformation and propaganda.
00:20:35.180 That's who Jake Tapper and Jim Sciutto and all of these people are.
00:20:39.200 And don't you forget it.
00:20:42.340 So we went all the way back to the past, but now let's bring it back to the present.
00:20:47.000 We're going to tie it all together.
00:20:48.120 Because what we've latest heard, and the post-millennial had the story,
00:20:52.440 a Clinton-connected lawyer indicted by John Durham for lying about Trump's ties to Russia.
00:20:56.880 This is Michael Sussman again.
00:20:58.620 So this is the current indictment that we're looking at.
00:21:01.560 John Durham has indicted Michael Sussman, Clinton-connected and Turi,
00:21:04.680 for lying about ties between Trump and Russia.
00:21:08.080 What did he do?
00:21:09.200 He texted James Baker, who I just told you about, is now the general counsel of Twitter.
00:21:13.380 But back in the day, James Baker, 2016, James Baker was the general counsel for the FBI.
00:21:20.900 And, you know, I guess when you're one of these Clinton-connected lawyers working for Perkins Coy,
00:21:25.580 you can just text on over to the general counsel of the FBI.
00:21:29.360 Wouldn't that be nice?
00:21:30.360 Wouldn't that be nice?
00:21:30.880 Somebody's bothering you, you just text over to the FBI, right?
00:21:33.520 I got some of my neighbors, you know, my neighbors, you know, partying too loud or something.
00:21:39.820 You know, James Baker, go do something about that, right?
00:21:41.880 No, that's not for you.
00:21:43.580 That's not for you, plebs.
00:21:44.880 But here's the key.
00:21:46.480 When he texted James Baker, he lied.
00:21:49.320 He lied because he said, I'm not doing this on behalf of a client.
00:21:53.020 I'm doing this out of patriotism, for love of country, because I care so much about all of you.
00:22:00.000 That's the indictment that's going through now.
00:22:02.200 And that's going to trial.
00:22:03.440 Because, of course, as you can imagine, a well-connected lawyer like this, that's a made man.
00:22:09.060 And when you're going after a made man in Washington, D.C., you're going to have the entire legal establishment against you.
00:22:16.480 And you're going to have the entire media against you.
00:22:19.240 So that's why the Durham investigation is not getting the press that it deserves.
00:22:23.660 Now, do we think that this means that all the people, right, I want to be clear about this, that we're involved in this corruption, are going to face justice?
00:22:32.900 I believe it when I see it, folks.
00:22:34.760 But at the same time, I wanted to take a day and do this deep dive.
00:22:39.020 And the whole team worked so hard to pull all of this together, all of those clips, all of this research, the video that you're seeing, to let everybody know what's going on with this.
00:22:51.720 And maybe, just maybe, we ought to be paying it a little more attention.
00:22:56.340 And so ends the Human Events special, the Durham investigation.
00:23:04.540 Will Durham get to the bottom of all of this?
00:23:08.340 Remains to be seen.
00:23:09.360 But the fact that this information is finally becoming public after years and years to the American people is fantastic.
00:23:18.060 If you want more on this, by the way, go watch the fantastic documentary, and I'm in it, directed by my friend Amanda Milius, The Plot Against the President.
00:23:27.160 What did we cover in this special?
00:23:28.300 Ladies and gentlemen, this information is so important.
00:23:44.880 So when you see people out there asking, what's going on with the Durham investigation?
00:23:50.540 What is that all about?
00:23:51.780 Send them this episode.
00:23:53.260 Share this with them.
00:23:54.400 Let them know, look, this is real.
00:23:57.480 It happened.
00:23:58.300 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
