With just hours until the 2020 Democratic primary showdown, former Vice President Joe Biden and his challenger, Kamala Harris, prepare to go head-to-head in the first presidential primary debate on Tuesday night in Philadelphia, PA. Biden and Hillary Clinton have been preparing for the primary debate for weeks, and now it s time for them to finally face each other in a debate.
00:00:30.000This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
00:00:39.620A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
00:00:46.320This is Human Events with your host, Jack Poso.
00:00:50.080She has closely studied the former president's past six debate performances.
00:00:54.900She's also been sort of entrenched in these briefing papers going over the former president's past comments, as well as the ways that he has insulted her, so she can be prepared to respond to that.
00:01:07.600She's engaged in these mock debates with a stand-in for the former president, and she's had conversations with Hillary Clinton and President Biden.
00:01:16.080She said she supported taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries for detained migrants.
00:01:27.080She wrote, both wrote and answered in the affirmative when she was asked this.
00:01:32.100These are things that, you know, it would be hard to think that you would come up with taxpayer-funding gender transitions for detained migrants.
00:01:39.260And yet this, as you say, written and verbally.
00:01:42.500Well, I think this is where the fourth estate comes in.
00:01:44.820This is our job, right, as journalists, to actually push on the policy questions.
00:01:49.180Because what I do feel is that people are pushing for a higher standard of policy detail than they've actually pushed Donald Trump for.
00:01:56.200With just hours until their highly anticipated showdown, Vice President Kamala Harris telling reporters she's feeling confident.
00:04:27.320That's why Posobiec has come back to Pennsylvania.
00:04:29.600That's why I'm going to be making my stand here in defense of the republic and perhaps even the return and the restoration and the creation of a new American republic.
00:04:46.380So President Trump, Kamala Harris, they're actually going to be debating in a building that I'm looking at right now, the National Constitution Center.
00:04:54.520And when they face off, we know Kamala Harris is going to come in with her pre-scripted statements, I'm speaking, and her policies, which, oops, I suppose, were actually copied and pasted from Joe Biden's website.
00:05:07.220And she even left the metadata on the actual copies.
00:09:57.720This is where you win, and this is where you lose the White House, right here in PA.
00:10:01.500So essentially what he's talking about is the demographics of Pennsylvania being what they are and the demographic crossover with Ohio, with Michigan, with Wisconsin, which are the other states, obviously, within the Rust Belt that we're trying to win.
00:10:15.040And in Ohio where they're just trying to survive the migrant invasion that they've got with the 20,000 Haitians in each town, or at least in one town.
00:10:22.860That if you get Pennsylvania, basically it just means this, folks, if we win Pennsylvania, that is the most likely path to the presidency.
00:10:31.900And she knows that, too, by the way, because if she loses Pennsylvania, it's very hard for her to get to 270.
00:10:39.960That's why we're all here today, and that's why both candidates are going to be squaring off in that building directly across the street from just a few hours.
00:10:47.480Yeah, and I think that's why they agreed to do the debate here is because both sides realized, listen, this is the fight.
00:11:17.720All right, and as such then, when you're looking at this in terms of a key state to turn out, they put a lot of changes to the mail-in voting, the universal registration, a lot of changes to the voting system.
00:11:32.160Because we're here, and I was busting my dad's chops because he's here on the show today.
00:11:36.120But when I was younger, my father used to take me out to voting, and you would go to the – no, with him.
00:11:43.080And you would go to the local middle school, and you're at the basketball court, and each precinct's got their section, and you would know the people.
00:11:51.520That was election integrity back then was that you knew the people that were working in polls.
00:12:05.860They've completely stripped that from us.
00:12:07.740It was a civic ritual that has been systemically destroyed, and they've changed it into a system where – and I want to get back to that system, but the new system is all predicated not on votes but on ballots.
00:25:01.440And yeah, today is about that for sure.
00:25:03.980But this, this is what it's all about.
00:25:06.920And that's why I said, no, no, no, guys, turn the camera this way.
00:25:10.000Because that's the most important thing here today.
00:25:12.060Yeah, and I think tonight at the debate, you know, what's interesting to me is I don't think we need a resounding win.
00:25:17.420I'd love to see Trump have a huge, powerful night and just shut this whole race down over the next 60 days.
00:25:23.260But what we really need is to avoid, you know, some sort of moment that Kamala can twist and distort and use.
00:25:29.400And I think he just needs to focus on his record.
00:25:31.360I mean, as many times as he can ask, are you better now under the Harris and Biden administration versus where you were under a Trump administration?
00:25:40.980I mean, that to me is the question that Trump needs to get folks to answer.
00:25:46.380He says that to the camera multiple times.
00:25:49.020And I think he's going to have tons of success.
00:30:19.400And, you know, the one thing that should scare the heck out of Democrats is the number of registrations directly in the city of Philadelphia.
00:30:26.260Okay, I'm not talking about the outskirts and the suburbs, and I'm not saying that Republicans are beating Democrats or winning.
00:30:32.460But if you look at Center City and you look at some of these areas that used to be 95 percent Democrat to 5 percent Republican,
00:30:40.180they are trending in the wrong way for the Democrats.
00:30:43.780And that is directly because of all the illegal immigration, all the crime, the defund the police movement, and these radicals.
00:30:51.620I mean, if you're, you know, somebody that's raising a family, you've got a couple kids, you're trying to make ends meet,
00:30:56.000and you're living in the city, Democrats are the furthest thing from representing your core values.
00:31:01.760Democrats are the furthest thing from being people that can connect with you and present solutions that you actually think will work.
00:31:09.000And so that's why I think so many of these radical things that Kamala stood for back in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023,
00:31:19.280now she's running from because her record is too radical for the American people.
00:31:24.680Donald Trump, I mean, heck, even the New York Times poll that just came out, the New York Times,
00:31:29.000had his approval at the highest it's ever been, 46 percent, higher than 2016, higher than 2020.
00:33:56.640No, he was the best president of our lifetime.
00:33:59.000I would stand by that, that in my 33 years here on earth, he is by far the best president we've had.
00:34:05.260And so I think this whole thing is about making sure she stands for nothing, backtracking from all of her crazy, progressive, radical ideas to try to make her palatable to the American people.
00:34:16.820But the American people are smarter than that.
00:34:22.160That's why I think Trump's going to win in 24.
00:34:23.780One of the things that I'd love to see President Trump do tonight is go on offense.
00:34:27.400So we know that she's, so her entire debate prep has been rote memorization.
00:34:32.060So memorizing chunks of policy statements, which we know she copied and pasted from Joe Biden with the metadata and from his, directly from his website.
00:34:40.400But you've got to knock her off script.
00:34:45.040That you've got to ask questions they weren't expecting.
00:34:47.680Hey, how much money did you pay to those Haitians that are eating all the pets in Springfield, Ohio?
00:34:52.280How are you asking the question, Kamala Harris, why didn't you answer the phone when the families of Abbey Gate called you and asked you to come to the memorial ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery?
00:35:06.420Why couldn't you answer the phone for them?
00:35:08.500Why wouldn't you get on the phone and speak to them?
00:35:10.720Why have you never met with them, even going back and, you know, Kristen Welker, Kristen Welker from NBC tried to lie to Senator Tom Cotton the other day on Meet the Press, Meet the Distressed, and say that she was there at, no, they tried to say that she was there when they did the handover at Dover when they returned the bodies.
00:37:08.860But anyway, I think a lot of these things are questions that if Trump gets to ask her and she gets razzled, I think they're going to be moments.
00:37:17.480And her whole entire strategy is going to be to try to make it like Trump is some sort of misogynist who's not going to let her speak.
00:37:25.360I mean, what do you think the over-under is on her saying, sir, I'm speaking.
00:46:15.620Anybody in the political world, it's so awesome to be able to be here, to talk to my neighbors, to talk to the people I grew up with, to traverse across Pennsylvania and know that this is the bellwether.
00:46:26.680Because many people don't get to experience that.
00:46:28.560I went to school like three blocks that way.
00:46:30.540You know, I mean, every field trip was here.
00:46:33.880Grew up, you know, and sorry to folks who are out there, but yes, grew up with the Eagles and the Phillies.
