00:00:10.960 national sovereignty, divinely ordained rights, and free enterprise.
00:00:15.240 It must be stopped, and Turning Point USA is leading the charge.

00:00:25.720 Join myself, Charlie Kirk, Steve Bannon, Drew Hernandez, Dr. James Lindsay,

00:00:40.300 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard tonight's edition of Human Events Daily,
00:00:43.280 powered by Turning Point USA.
00:00:44.800 Tonight is September 8th, 2022, Anno Domini.
00:00:48.900 Tonight's headlines, purge country.
00:00:52.000 America has entered a new anarchy phase.
00:00:56.600 Next, of course, Queen Elizabeth passing away at 96 after 70 years on the throne.
00:01:01.940 I'll talk about what this means and why I think it's important.
00:01:04.680 Third, a new report is out that a liberal Las Vegas county official
00:01:08.640 has been arrested in the murder of an investigative reporter named Jeff Gurman.
00:01:14.760 And finally, a story that's a little bit about myself,
00:01:17.080 but a little bit about our government.
00:01:18.860 The TSA literally confiscated my phone, but I got it back.
00:01:23.960 All this is more ahead, Human Events Daily.
00:01:35.080 And I know...
00:01:37.920 Memphis is tired right now.
00:01:43.720 Yeah, I'm good.
00:01:45.260 I'm with you all.
00:01:46.140 Memphis is tired right now.
00:01:48.760 The Elias Fletcher kidnapping and abduction and murder.
00:01:53.160 The other crimes we've had this year leading up to this.
00:01:57.240 It's difficult right now.
00:01:59.180 Bear with me.
00:02:00.340 It's a very nerve-wracking night.
00:02:02.200 America is now the purge country.
00:02:05.820 Go look at a city like Memphis.
00:02:07.760 Memphis, Tennessee.
00:02:08.500 Where kindergarten teachers can't go out for a jog in the morning without being murdered and possibly raped.
00:02:19.600 Where people are running around doing spree killings on Facebook Live when they should have been locked up in jail.
00:02:27.120 They're not.
00:02:27.520 And yet this goes on live on social media.
00:02:31.580 In Washington, D.C., there's now a man in custody who is firing shots from a rooftop, exposing himself in public, and then spent hours climbing across the wires in northwest D.C.
00:02:45.780 And let's look at California.
00:02:48.400 Power outages at night in California in a heat wave while violent criminals are allowed to roam the streets.
00:02:55.680 This was a movie called The Purge.
00:02:58.320 It was science fiction.
00:02:59.840 But now it's reality.
00:03:01.520 This is real life in the United States of America.
00:03:04.480 And so it's a simple question.
00:03:07.460 Do we want to continue to live this country the way that we currently do?
00:03:13.520 Where people are terrified.
00:03:15.360 People are talking about how do they carry more guns?
00:03:18.380 Because they have to protect themselves.
00:03:20.200 Whether you're in the suburbs.
00:03:21.560 Whether you're near to one of these cities.
00:03:23.820 By the way, if you're in one of them, you just got to get out of there.
00:03:27.700 You've got to get out of there for the time being so that they can collapse.
00:03:31.920 They're going to collapse.
00:03:33.540 I'm telling you, this is what's coming.
00:03:37.840 We know that the people who live there continue to vote for these DAs.
00:03:42.540 They continue to vote for insane justice schemes where they allow violent criminals out on the streets.
00:03:50.560 They'll let them right out on the streets.
00:03:52.180 And so if that's where they're going to be, fine.
00:03:54.700 But you know what?
00:03:55.560 You don't want your kids there.
00:03:56.960 You don't want your family there.
00:03:58.760 You don't want anything you own there.
00:04:01.000 Carjackings in the tunnel we're hearing about.
00:04:05.760 In tunnels.
00:04:07.440 What are you even going to do if you get carjacked in a tunnel?
00:04:09.380 You're stuck there.
00:04:10.380 You can't go.
00:04:11.420 You can't leave.
00:04:11.840 What if your kids are in the car when they come to carjack you?
00:04:14.580 Have you even thought about that?
00:04:16.560 Have you even considered that?
00:04:17.940 Because I'm a young parent and I've got two little boys and I'm talking to other parents in our friend groups, outside in the communities.
00:04:28.320 People are freaked out right now.
00:04:30.960 And they understand that everything that's happening has happened on a very rapid spiral, a very rapid timeline.
00:04:40.900 Meanwhile, at the same time that we'll hear that when your kid goes to school, that they'll be taught, well, you know, Timmy is actually a Jenny and that Jenny is actually a Timmy.
00:04:52.300 And then they'll go to their government and they'll say, what are you doing?
00:04:55.740 Are you doing anything to help with this?
00:04:57.320 Are you giving us some kind of recompense?
00:04:59.600 Are you going to be initiating some new law, some new policy?
00:05:02.680 And they'll turn around and we get Secretary of State Tony Blinken over in Kiev for another $2 billion in NATO on a surprise visit.
00:05:10.900 And so you say, OK, this is what my government is doing.
00:05:15.560 This is what my political leaders are doing.
00:05:18.100 And you ask yourself, at what point do the American people say that they've had enough?
00:05:23.420 At what point do they actually get together in a critical mass and say, we're done with this?
00:05:30.520 We're over with it.
00:05:31.640 We demand change.
00:05:33.120 We demand reliance.
00:05:34.060 I don't know.
00:05:35.180 I honestly don't know.
00:05:36.040 But I do think that you're going to see more and more of these horrific stories from city after city after city.
00:05:45.420 The entire state of California rolling brownouts, no power, violent criminals roaming the streets.
00:05:53.620 That's a purge night.
00:05:55.620 And so that's what America has become now.
00:05:57.860 The United States of America has become the purge country.
00:06:01.540 You want to talk about the conversation, having the conversation with your kids?
00:06:06.100 That's the conversation you need to have.
00:06:08.460 You need to tell your kids that there are certain places you can't go.
00:06:11.700 There are certain times you can't be seen outside.
00:06:14.140 There are certain areas you have to avoid.
00:06:16.120 There are certain things that you can't say.
00:06:18.300 Or else you'll be purged.
00:06:20.440 You'll be next.
00:06:22.240 Do you want to live in that kind of country?
00:06:24.500 Do you want your children to have to grow up in that kind of a country?
00:06:28.420 It's a serious question.
00:06:30.160 OK, my answer is no.
00:06:32.040 I don't want my kids to grow up like that.
00:06:33.420 But it's also my job to protect my kids.
00:06:37.180 And so we're not going to stop talking about this.
00:06:39.340 We're not going to stop covering these issues.
00:06:41.120 We're not going to stop focusing on this until we get to the point when all of this is done.
00:06:46.920 Ladies and gentlemen, we need to talk about the fact that inflation is making everything unaffordable right now, especially food.
00:06:55.840 But you know what?
00:06:56.300 I've got some good news for you.
00:06:57.620 My Patriots apply.
00:06:58.880 You know them.
00:06:59.740 They're our nation's largest preparedness company.
00:07:02.340 They've now come out with a special $250 savings on their three-month emergency food kit.
00:07:07.600 That's right, $250 off.
00:07:09.200 Look, here's all you've got to do.
00:07:10.620 We've set up preparewithposo.com.
00:07:12.680 Now, this is the lowest price in three years.
00:07:14.800 I asked them.
00:07:15.260 I asked them.
00:07:15.640 I said, is this your lowest price?
00:07:16.580 I've never seen it this low.
00:07:17.340 This is the lowest.
00:07:18.400 But it's not lasting long.
00:07:20.040 My Patriots apply stocked up on food when prices were low.
00:07:24.200 So now they're passing on those savings to you.
00:07:27.160 This is your only chance to beat inflation while getting prepared.
00:07:31.400 And remember, since this food stays fresh for up to 25 years in storage, it will be there when you need it most.

00:07:50.580 Order ships fast and free.
00:07:51.860 Go to preparewithposo.com.
00:07:53.700 Preparewithposo.com right now.
00:07:55.400 I bet you those people sitting out in California with no power wish they had gone to preparewithposo.com.
00:08:05.080 I'm not surprised that many people feel lost and unable to decide what to hold on to and what to discard.
00:08:13.640 How to take advantage of the new life without losing the best of the old.
00:08:18.960 The trouble is caused by unthinking people who carelessly throw away ageless ideals.
00:08:27.980 They would have religion thrown aside.
00:08:31.420 Morality in personal and public life made meaningless.
00:08:36.240 Honesty counted as foolishness.
00:08:38.940 And self-interest set up in place of self-restraint.
00:08:42.180 At this critical moment in our history, we will certainly lose the trust and respect of the world
00:08:50.460 if we just abandon those fundamental principles.
00:08:55.500 Today, we need a special kind of courage.
00:08:59.340 Not the kind needed in battle, but a kind which makes us stand up for everything that we know is right.
00:09:07.600 Everything that is true and honest.
00:09:09.720 We need the kind of courage that can withstand the subtle corruption of the cynics.
00:09:17.580 Queen Elizabeth, the longest reigning English monarch, has passed away.
00:09:22.060 96 years old, 70 years on the throne.
00:09:25.100 And what more can you say?
00:09:28.100 You know, growing up in the United States, I always viewed the monarchy, the British lords,
00:09:35.000 the British royalty as, well, those are the bad guys, right?
00:09:38.460 That's the people we fought a war against and got away from, and that's stupid,
00:09:42.640 and why would you even need that anyway, et cetera, et cetera.
00:09:45.320 And that's what we're taught.
00:09:46.860 But, you know, when I got to visit the UK the first time years ago, over a decade ago at this point,
00:09:54.400 that I started to understand better how, in many ways, the royal family,
00:10:00.400 and in particular, the king or queen of England, is a national symbol for their country.
00:10:07.720 And, in particular, this queen, to have committed nearly a century of time,
00:10:16.820 not just on this planet, but the vast majority of that, while on the throne,
00:10:23.140 in service of her country.
00:10:25.520 It shows a commitment to duty.
00:10:27.700 It shows a commitment to honor.
00:10:29.740 It shows a commitment to tradition.
00:10:32.000 You know, they say Queen Elizabeth was one of the last institutions that really existed in the world.
00:10:38.100 I'm not going to say that the British family doesn't have its issues,
00:10:40.400 but just her as a person,
00:10:42.900 he felt that she hadn't become corrupted the way you look at so many other institutions
00:10:47.980 across Western civilization, and they've become completely corrupted.
00:10:53.220 And so, we say God save the queen.
00:10:55.900 We say prayers up for her royal highness, and God bless to the entire family.
00:11:04.640 But I want to send a clip now, or show a clip,
00:11:07.880 of what they did to Steve Bannon in New York earlier today.
00:11:13.800 For every conservative, this is what happens in the last days of the dying regime.
00:11:21.960 They will never shut me up.
00:11:23.640 Don't they kill me first.
00:11:24.660 I have not yet begun to fight.
00:11:30.300 You see this clip?
00:11:32.340 Do you see them perp-walking him?
00:11:35.100 The New York AG parading Steve Bannon,
00:11:38.240 Stephen K. Bannon,
00:11:39.640 in front of their cameras,
00:11:41.740 like he's some mafia kingpin.
00:11:44.160 Understand,
00:11:45.400 this is what time it is.
00:11:48.220 This is what part of the movie you are in.
00:11:52.220 And you understand this is a test run, right?
00:11:55.480 They're not doing this in some backroom.
00:11:57.840 They're in your face with all of it.
00:12:00.020 They're in your face with Bannon the same way that they want to do this with President Trump.
00:12:04.620 They went down there to Mar-a-Lago.
00:12:06.560 They raided it.
00:12:07.960 Now they're going after his chief advisors,
00:12:09.620 his chief strategist from 2016,
00:12:11.880 his chief strategist from the White House.
00:12:13.380 They're taking him down because they want to take down every single influential political conservative in the United States.
00:12:21.340 Anyone who stands up and is a meaningful dissident to the system is going to get this treatment.
00:12:26.340 Every single one of them.
00:12:28.200 This is a sham.
00:12:29.060 They've all been shams, as far as I'm concerned.
00:12:33.080 Every single one of these situations absolutely trumped up charges,
00:12:37.380 and it's being done exactly for the reasons that you saw today.
00:12:41.580 It's a show trial.
00:12:42.820 When I say that we're living through the purge country,
00:12:47.000 that we are now a purge country,
00:12:48.980 well, guess what?
00:12:49.940 We have political dissidents and opposition leaders being put on show trial,
00:12:55.680 paraded in front of a prostrate media that can't get enough of it.
00:13:02.100 Are you going to wake up?
00:13:04.840 Are you going to get ready?
00:13:06.680 Are you going to get serious about who these people are and what they're about?
00:13:11.980 Because that's what they're willing to do.
00:13:14.520 Meanwhile, you've got conservatives who say we shouldn't even talk about Hunter Biden.
00:13:17.980 No.
00:13:19.360 We're not going down like that.
00:13:21.260 Steve's not going down like that.
00:13:22.660 And this movement is never going anywhere.
00:13:27.820 Can you comment?
00:13:28.840 Murder?
00:13:29.980 Did you do this?
00:13:31.020 Can you tell us anything?
00:13:32.760 Why did police toll away your vehicle?
00:13:35.760 Do you have a comment?
00:13:50.200 So we've been talking about how we're in a purge country now.
00:13:54.320 America is now a purge country.
00:13:56.280 Here's an example of how America is a purge country.
00:13:58.520 There's a story that the media doesn't seem to be talking about anywhere, which is crazy because one of their own members was just murdered.
00:14:07.980 An actual journalist for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
00:14:12.040 Murdered in cold blood.
00:14:13.580 And the headline that we now see is that police have arrested a liberal county official in the reporter's stabbing death.
00:14:23.040 What's going on here?
00:14:24.240 Let's take a look.
00:14:24.860 Clark County Public Administrator Robert Tellis was arrested on suspicion of murder Wednesday evening in a fatal stabbing of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff Gurman,
00:14:34.320 whose investigation of the politician contributed to his primary election loss in June.
00:14:40.660 The stunning development came a day after.
00:14:42.940 We've got some intel here.
00:14:43.820 A day after, the Las Vegas police asked for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the case.
00:14:49.220 An early morning search of Tellis' home on Wednesday provided the first indication that the Friday night killing may be related to Gurman's work, exposing public wrongdoing.
00:14:58.240 The investigative reporter was pursuing a potential follow-up story about Tellis in the weeks before he was killed.
00:15:04.380 Police arrived at his home.
00:15:05.400 They said they were conducting search warrants.
00:15:07.320 They later arrested him.
00:15:09.400 And this is based on a stabbing.
00:15:10.880 Now, here's what's crazy to me.
00:15:14.640 And we could go through all the details of this case.
00:15:17.260 But it seems like, and of course, caveat, caveat, caveat, alleged, alleged, alleged.
00:15:21.300 But.
00:15:23.640 Doesn't the media always tell you that the most violent group in this country is MAGA-Americans?
00:15:30.160 Didn't President Biden just gave a major speech about this and said,
00:15:35.000 these people are now the enemy class of the regime?
00:15:38.140 MAGA-Americans, conservative Americans, anyone who doesn't support this agenda, anyone who
00:15:44.520 doesn't support the inflation, the flooding of violent criminals and drugs across our streets,
00:15:50.400 the indoctrination of our children, the eradication of God in the public sphere, that if you don't
00:15:56.660 stand for those things, you're not just someone who disagrees.
00:15:59.780 No, no, no.
00:16:00.380 You're an enemy of the state now.
00:16:02.260 So, when we're told that all of this is the biggest problem in society, when we actually
00:16:09.840 see a situation where someone, a reporter, you know, how many times did they say, did
00:16:15.580 they say, well, when President Trump tweets about reporters, he puts them in danger.
00:16:19.680 When President Trump calls out reporters, he puts them in danger.
00:16:23.000 I've heard it a million times.
00:16:24.560 I'm sure you have as well.
00:16:25.340 But who was actually in danger here, was actually murdered here, was an investigative reporter
00:16:31.180 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
00:16:33.740 And it seems like, by the way, based on what happened, someone who was really good at their
00:16:39.140 job, someone who actually cared about what they were doing enough to pursue the public
00:16:46.640 interest.
00:16:48.560 Do we have anyone that actually does that anymore?
00:16:51.020 They pursue their public interest.
00:16:52.340 Say, what's in the good of the people, what's in the good of the country, what's in the
00:16:55.660 good of the city in this case?
00:16:57.520 The county.
00:16:58.560 Going after a county official, going after a state's officials, because that's what we
00:17:03.660 want.
00:17:04.380 That's the kind of media that we'd actually love to have in this country.
00:17:07.200 We don't have that.
00:17:09.560 Find me the one media piece that's breaking down all the details of the Las Vegas shooter,
00:17:15.840 Steven Paddock.
00:17:17.160 What was his motive?
00:17:18.720 What was going on with his family?
00:17:20.200 Why was he sending all this money to the Philippines?
00:17:21.620 We don't know.
00:17:23.480 We're not getting any of that information.
00:17:25.940 And nobody's digging it up.
00:17:27.260 But it seems like this guy was digging.
00:17:29.220 And he was murdered, allegedly, by a liberal politician that he'd been working on.
00:17:36.720 So here's the question, right?
00:17:39.300 And I'm not going to play politics with this.
00:17:40.840 I'm not going to say, oh, blah, blah, blah.
00:17:42.640 This means you can paint everyone with a broad brush.
00:17:44.620 No, that's not fair.
00:17:46.400 But go with me on this.
00:17:49.580 Shouldn't we have a country where when something like this happens, that everybody can come
00:17:54.020 together and say, this is horrific?
00:17:57.180 When MTG got swatted, when Steve Bannon got swatted four times in a row, before he was just perp-walked,
00:18:04.500 by the way, had to surrender his passport.
00:18:08.360 Did everyone come together?
00:18:09.840 Did every member of Congress come out and say, I support MTG's right to do her job without the fear of violence?
00:18:16.900 No.
00:18:17.880 Crickets.
00:18:19.040 Absolute crickets.
00:18:20.460 Because when there's violence on the left in this country, when there is violence on the left in this country,
00:18:24.440 they cover it up.
00:18:26.980 They'll say, Kyle Rittenhouse was a murder, and they won't talk about the fact that people were trying to kill him.
00:18:31.460 That's the problem in this country.
00:18:36.280 One quick is that multiple people can come here and divest at the same time.
00:18:42.580 So you grab a bin, you put your items in it.
00:18:45.180 If you have a suitcase, the entire suitcase does go in a bin.
00:18:47.740 That's what's a little bit different.
00:18:49.160 And when you're ready and you have everything in the bin, you just put it there, and it takes off.
00:18:55.240 As you can see, this entire area is for divestment.
00:18:58.940 So you have someone who has a lot of things to take out of their pockets, and they haven't prepared.
00:19:05.180 They won't slow you down, because you can go, push your bin there, and then you walk around them,
00:19:10.500 so it's not even considered anything rude about it.
00:19:12.900 Keeps the process going, yeah.
00:19:14.200 Because people realize that they can continue to divest.
00:19:16.820 No one's going to rush them.
00:19:18.120 If you're ready to go, you push the bin, and you go.
00:19:21.960 So I've got a little bit of a story.
00:19:24.400 And those of you who've been paying attention, you know that Drew Hernandez, the great Drew Hernandez,
00:19:28.420 was here for a couple of days because I'm out on assignment, or was out on assignment.
00:19:31.640 Had a couple of travel days.
00:19:33.480 Traveling.
00:19:33.840 My phone.
00:19:36.420 My phone.
00:19:36.460 The TSA confiscated my phone.
00:19:40.720 That's right.
00:19:41.920 They wouldn't give it back, and then they claimed that they had never actually taken it in the first place.
00:19:48.460 What's going on?
00:19:49.060 Getting on the airport.
00:19:50.520 This is JFK Airport, New York City.
00:19:54.460 I hand them my bag.
00:19:55.960 I say, hey, I've got pre-check.
00:19:57.040 I'm all cleared.
00:19:57.780 Blah, blah, blah.
00:19:58.300 Let's go.
00:19:59.360 They put it through, and they say, hey, you got some tablets in here.
00:20:01.980 I said, well, it's fine.
00:20:03.300 I have pre-check.
00:20:03.920 Good to go, right?
00:20:04.980 I said, no, we've got to run them through again because pre-check's closed.
00:20:08.640 All right.
00:20:09.260 Whatever.
00:20:10.460 I find it, generally, it's not a good idea to just argue with people like that because,
00:20:15.400 A, you're never going to get anywhere, and, B, you're probably running for your flight anyway.
00:20:20.120 So they run my bag through again.
00:20:22.420 We send the thing down.
00:20:24.400 We're going.
00:20:25.100 We've got the kids, myself, Tanya Tay.
00:20:28.240 We're going down.
00:20:28.800 I realize, hey, my phone's not in my bag.
00:20:32.020 And when you travel a lot, like I travel a lot, you have certain habits that you perform.
00:20:36.420 Same time, every way.
00:20:37.620 Like, I always put my bag in my wallet, or excuse me, my phone in my wallet, in the front
00:20:42.400 bag of my backpack, every single time.
00:20:44.800 Just, that's my move.
00:20:45.940 Phone, wallet, backpack, done.
00:20:47.440 In that pocket.
00:20:48.620 This time around, not in that pocket.
00:20:52.260 So I send everybody else down to the front, and my parents were there as well.
00:20:56.640 So I said, you guys go to the gate.
00:20:57.680 You guys take the kids.
00:20:58.860 We're going to go back, see what's up.
00:21:00.820 Leave all the bags there.
00:21:02.340 Come back to TSA.
00:21:03.220 I said, hey, excuse me, federal security employee, this record locator, okay, my find-a-friend
00:21:14.400 that is on.
00:21:15.600 My wife can see that my phone is here at your security console.
00:21:20.180 It's in a lost and found.
00:21:21.540 I said, no, it's not in a lost and found.
00:21:23.340 I said, well, okay, sir, I gave you a backpack that had a phone in it, and when you gave
00:21:28.200 it back to me, there was no phone.
00:21:31.060 He said, I didn't steal any phone.
00:21:34.700 I didn't steal any phone.
00:21:35.700 How would you accuse me of that?
00:21:36.980 I said, I didn't accuse you of anything.
00:21:38.000 I said, I gave you a backpack with a phone.
00:21:40.520 You give it to me, no phone.
00:21:41.960 I had to go through four people at the TSA all the way up to a supervisor of a supervisor
00:21:48.820 of a supervisor before finally some guy came in, and I sat there and made him go through
00:21:53.580 the footage.
00:21:54.820 I said, go through the footage.
00:21:56.060 All the time, Tanya's got the thing up.
00:21:58.200 It says it's here.
00:21:58.920 It says it's here.
00:21:59.580 It says it's here.
00:22:00.220 It says it's here.
00:22:00.820 They wouldn't even look.
00:22:02.420 He goes through the security footage, and I said, I bet you either one of you guys took
00:22:05.660 it or one of you dropped it.
00:22:07.080 They go through the footage.
00:22:08.040 They say, oh, here's you with your kids.
00:22:10.040 Here's you with the stroller, the backpack, putting everything through okay, and oh, yeah,
00:22:17.760 it looks like our guy dropped it.
00:22:19.880 It's under the belt.
00:22:22.200 My phone had been sitting at their feet the entire time that we were talking.
00:22:29.640 Almost 35 minutes sprinted back, both myself and Tanya Tay, to get on the flight, and here's
00:22:35.880 the thing.
00:22:37.000 That's how the government looks at you.
00:22:38.600 You're not a customer.
00:22:40.040 You're a subject.
00:22:41.780 That's what they think of you.
00:22:45.240 And that's all the time we have tonight at Human Events.
00:22:47.100 Taylor, remember, as always, our promise, our oath, our solemn vow to you.
00:22:49.760 Be good, be good, be good, be gone.
00:22:50.920 Your homework for us.
00:22:51.740 Share this out with one, just one of your normally friends, and then leave us your five-star
00:22:54.820 review.
00:22:55.520 Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts.
00:22:57.800 By the way, didn't Drew Hernandez do a great job?
00:23:00.220 He nailed that the last two nights.
00:23:02.220 Great job, Drew.
00:23:02.780 Man, if I ever have to host Frontlines, I'm like, I gotta memorize some stuff.
00:23:06.700 Need some shtick.
00:23:07.400 Need some shtick.
00:23:08.440 Okay, what did we talk about tonight?
00:23:10.060 Number one, purge country.
00:23:11.580 America has entered the anarchy phase.
00:23:14.460 Second, Queen Elizabeth dies at 96 after 70 years on the throne and the perp walk of Steve
00:23:20.160 Bannon.
00:23:21.160 Third, a liberal Las Vegas county official has been arrested in a murder of an investigative
00:23:26.540 reporter, Jeff Gurman.
00:23:27.740 And then finally, the TSA confiscating my phone and treating us the same way that you
00:23:34.580 would see a subject treated in some empire, some far-flung empire.
00:23:39.500 They don't care about you.
00:23:40.700 They care about themselves, and they care about going on break.
00:23:43.980 Care about going on break.
00:23:46.360 Before we go today, it's time for tonight's history break.
00:23:50.160 For today's moment in history, I wanted to pick Queen Elizabeth.
00:23:53.780 Nearly a decade before she became queen, she was actually the first female member of the
00:23:58.160 British royal family to become an active-duty member of the armed forces.
00:24:01.700 During World War II, she joined the British Auxiliary Transport Service.
00:24:04.920 She was a mechanic.
00:24:06.040 She was a driver during the war.
00:24:08.880 She stood as an example to so many other women at the time.
00:24:13.500 She was quite young at this time to go out there and to actually serve the nation.
00:24:18.700 And that really set the tone for her as a person, for her as a monarch and as a sovereign.
00:24:24.800 Serve your country.
00:24:26.700 The idea that your country matters.
00:24:30.280 That's something that we should all care about again.
00:24:32.660 That's something that we should all put, maybe not first, but I remember there used to be that
00:24:37.320 commitment that they were not survivors.
00:24:38.980 Sure.
00:24:39.320 Thank you, sir.
00:24:40.900 Even 56 people left.
00:24:41.480 Okay.
00:24:42.420 Thank you.
00:24:43.280 Thank you.
00:24:43.920 Thank you.
00:24:44.760 Thank you.
00:24:46.280 Good.
00:24:47.320 Thank you.
00:24:48.920 Thank you very much.
00:24:49.660 Thank you.
00:24:50.980 Yeah.
00:24:51.920 Thank you.
00:24:54.480 Mr.
00:24:56.540 Thank you very much.
00:24:57.400 Thank you.
00:24:58.480 Thank you.
00:24:58.900 Thank you.
00:24:59.920 Okay.
00:25:02.040 Good.
00:25:02.520 Thank you.
00:25:04.860 Good.
