Transcript

00:00:00.000 Was Yoel Roth of Twitter's Trust and Safety Board an intelligence asset?
00:00:07.040 We're going to talk about Mr. Yoel Roth and also the destabilization of global infrastructure.
00:00:14.380 Are you prepared?
00:00:16.340 And joining me today as guest co-host is the VP of sales for My Patriot Supply, Mr. Joe Reek.
00:00:22.800 But first, I want to remind you all that America Fest begins this week.
00:00:26.800 Yes, actually begins this week.
00:00:29.420 So I'm here in D.C. for a couple of days, and then we are flying.
00:00:32.300 The whole family is coming out to Phoenix, Arizona.
00:00:35.600 It kicks off the 17th.
00:00:37.220 It's going to run through the 20th.
00:00:38.780 You need to get there.
00:00:39.980 If you haven't got your tickets yet, you've got a little bit more time.
00:00:42.560 They're opening up a few more seats so you can have that availability.
00:00:46.660 Go there.
00:00:47.440 And we have just such an amazing, amazing lineup.
00:00:51.040 Myself, Steve Bannon, Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, Don Jr. will be there.
00:00:56.720 Kerry Lake will be there.
00:00:58.500 Dennis Prager will be there.
00:01:00.380 Cash Patel will be there.
00:01:03.600 Dr. Taylor Marshall will be there.
00:01:06.540 Amfest.com, promo code POSO.
00:01:09.360 Secure your tickets also makes for a great Christmas present.
00:01:13.940 Let's get into it.
00:01:14.920 You see, the useful idiots, the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty
00:01:30.880 of Soviet socialists or communists or whatever system, when they get disillusioned, they become
00:01:36.460 the worst enemies.
00:01:37.280 That's why my KGB instructors specifically made a point.
00:01:41.380 Never bother with leftists.
00:01:43.780 Forget about these political prostitutes.
00:01:46.140 Aim higher.
00:01:47.700 This was my instruction.
00:01:49.260 Try to get into large circulation, established conservative media.
00:01:56.100 Rich, filthy rich movie makers, intellectuals, so-called academic circles, cynical, egocentric
00:02:02.760 people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie.
00:02:07.540 These are the most recruitable people, people who lack moral principles, who are either too
00:02:12.680 greedy or too suffer from self-importance.
00:02:17.040 They feel that they matter a lot.
00:02:21.100 These are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit.
00:02:25.140 But to eliminate the others, to execute the others, don't they serve some purpose?
00:02:29.300 Wouldn't they be the ones they rely on?
00:02:30.800 They serve purpose only at the stage of destabilization of a nation.
00:02:34.520 For example, your leftists in the United States, all these professors and all these beautiful
00:02:40.420 civil rights defenders, they are instrumental in the process of the subversion only to destabilize
00:02:48.800 the nation.
00:02:50.340 When their job is completed, they are not needed anymore.
00:02:54.160 They know too much.
00:02:55.280 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily, powered
00:03:00.660 by Turning Point USA.
00:03:02.100 Today is December 12th, 2022, Anno Domini.
00:03:05.980 That was the great Yuri Bezmanov, KGB defector, talking about ideological subversion and the
00:03:13.940 destabilization of a nation.
00:03:16.420 Why did I choose to play that clip today to open the show?
00:03:18.860 I'll tell you why.
00:03:19.380 Because of an individual who I believe was himself one of these useful idiots that Yuri
00:03:27.140 was telling us about.
00:03:28.660 His name is Yoel Roth.
00:03:30.960 Yoel Roth is the former head of Trust and Safety at Twitter.
00:03:34.860 Trust and Safety, I love the name, right?
00:03:36.080 The Ministry of Trust and Safety.
00:03:37.600 It's something directly out of Orwell, right?
00:03:40.100 This guy, a complete nut job, a complete head case.
00:03:44.880 He wrote a dissertation on his own personal use of the Grindr app, what he wrote his PhD
00:03:53.500 dissertation on at UPenn.
00:03:54.880 So that's just a wonderful bit of research for the world, really, for the world to understand.
00:03:59.680 And then he goes on to have the ability and power to make his own personal whims and judgments
00:04:04.880 decide what people are allowed to speak in public, the censorship of a sitting president
00:04:11.000 of the United States, the censorship of specific terms.
00:04:14.800 And it's all based on his opinions.
00:04:16.240 It's not based on any fact.
00:04:17.320 It's not based on any logic.
00:04:18.660 It's based on whatever Yoel Roth decided.
00:04:22.200 And when I look at these, and I look at these meetings that Yoel Roth was holding with, he's
00:04:28.280 running Twitter, but then you've got the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security meeting
00:04:32.760 with him week in and week out.
00:04:35.820 Now, Elvis Chan told us that he was going over there every week to build relationships with
00:04:42.320 Twitter.
00:04:42.940 Well, I think we know what it means when the FBI is building relationships.
00:04:46.780 It's called asset recruitment.
00:04:49.000 Yoel Roth was being run as an intelligence asset.
00:04:53.600 And we see this more and more for the destabilization of our nation.
00:04:58.560 So when we're talking about destabilization and conflict, there's no one I wanted to bring
00:05:03.640 on more than Joe Reek.
00:05:05.740 He's the VP of sales over at My Patriot Supply, because when we see these destabilizations, the
00:05:13.140 censorship, not just internally, but also internationally, it gets a lot of people wondering, what
00:05:18.980 what's coming around the corner.
00:05:21.280 Joe, thank you so much for joining us here on Human Events Daily.
00:05:24.300 Hey, thanks for having me, Jack.
00:05:25.420 It's a pleasure to be on with you guys today.
00:05:26.800 So I appreciate the invitation.
00:05:28.840 Right.
00:05:28.980 And so we're going to have you on for a couple of segments, but I got to get your take on
00:05:31.720 this.
00:05:32.200 When we see the censorship, when we see this stuff coming down from the top level, the
00:05:37.080 destabilization that we've seen in the United States, it has had an economic effect,
00:05:40.900 hasn't it?
00:05:41.960 Well, of course it has.
00:05:43.000 And people are really concerned with what's going on, because if people have access to
00:05:47.620 the full information or the full story, I think people are a lot better, make better
00:05:52.100 decisions, better decisions for their families.
00:05:53.880 They can come up with things better if they know the full truth.
00:05:56.840 I mean, it's just kind of common sense at that point.
00:05:58.580 It seems like that, you know, when things are limiting and they're trying to tell a certain
00:06:02.060 narrative, what is it that they're trying not to tell you?
00:06:05.100 What don't they want people not to know?
00:06:06.820 You know what I mean?
00:06:08.040 That's exactly right.
00:06:08.820 And, you know, here we have a guy, you know, imagine, for example, if he decided to say
00:06:13.220 that, you know, if we said, well, inflation's at this number and then the White House came
00:06:17.100 down and said, no, it's not.
00:06:18.280 And you have to censor everybody that's that's talking about inflation because we've told
00:06:22.220 you that it's not.
00:06:22.840 And that's misinformation, right?
00:06:24.140 They did the exact same thing with covid.
00:06:25.680 They did.
00:06:26.400 And all of this is coming out in these new Twitter leaks that we're seeing.
00:06:29.420 Plus, you got Elon Musk now talking about putting out Fauci files, which I'm sure, by
00:06:34.740 the way, that they were working hand in glove with Twitter and all of the social
00:06:38.640 media enterprises, because I'm telling you right now, I bet you there was one of these
00:06:41.980 Yole Roths at every single social media enterprise out there.
00:06:46.260 So we're sitting here in a country understanding now that it's almost as if our perceptions
00:06:51.940 of the world themselves have actually been managed for us.
00:06:55.340 And it hasn't been a free system at all.
00:06:57.780 Why is it so important for us to be able to get that access to true information?
00:07:03.480 Well, just just with anything, Jack, you know, whenever you have the full story, again,
00:07:07.140 you can start making decisions once you have the full story.
00:07:10.480 You know, if we're told certain narratives, you know, for example, like inflation is not
00:07:14.420 an issue or, you know, grocery stores are not our prices are not increasing.
00:07:19.980 You know, it sends a different message to people.
00:07:22.940 And so, you know, what we've been trying to do here, at least in my patron supply, is
00:07:26.380 try to help people understand that, hey, there are things going on in the world that we don't
00:07:30.720 know about because, number one, we don't care about it.
00:07:33.100 And people need to start becoming more aware.
00:07:35.980 And one of the biggest messages is to do your research, is to find out for yourselves, because
00:07:41.120 you can't be trusting the people that we see on the nightly news like we used to 20,
00:07:45.180 30 years ago.
00:07:46.180 It seems like this world is getting more and more controlled.
00:07:50.240 And there's a smaller population of people that are actually controlling that narrative.
00:07:54.920 And people just need to be smart and understand what is happening.
00:07:58.560 And so, again, when we have these new revelations of the media controlling the narrative or people
00:08:03.900 playing behind the scenes, it just goes to show, hey, what we've been talking about, what
00:08:08.320 we've been trying to educate customers is, in fact, true.
00:08:11.260 And so, again, you have to do the work yourself because nobody's going to come save you.
00:08:16.040 Nobody's going to come bail you out unless you do the work.
00:08:18.320 Exactly right.
00:08:19.080 Joe, we've got a break coming up, but I want to hold on to that point right there because
00:08:22.240 we're going to go international in the next segment and talk about this more of this
00:08:26.120 instability and conflict taking place, not just in Eastern Europe, but also in Southern
00:08:30.220 Europe.
00:08:30.520 Stay tuned.
00:08:33.820 But before we get into that, every single day, you see a new story in the news about
00:08:38.300 somebody who was the victim of a violent crime.
00:08:40.900 Some of you think you're ready to defend yourselves against evil, and the truth is you're probably
00:08:45.520 not.
00:08:46.360 That's only possible if you train and train often.
00:08:50.220 But with inflation causing the price of ammo to skyrocket along with gas, getting to the range
00:08:54.960 isn't as easy or affordable as it used to be.
00:08:57.880 Thankfully, there's a better way to train with your firearm and the comfort and privacy
00:09:01.160 of your own home, and it's called iTarget Pro.
00:09:03.900 This revolutionary system develops muscle memory, reaction speed, sight alignment, trigger
00:09:07.780 control, and even more.

00:09:30.360 This is the easiest and most cost-effective way to train and pace for itself in a single
00:09:34.280 day.

00:09:37.380 iTargetPro.com.
00:09:38.820 Promo code POSO.
00:09:39.540 A race to restore electricity to parts of southern Ukraine this weekend.
00:09:47.900 More than one and a half million people in the Odessa region alone plunged into darkness
00:09:54.000 at the peak of the outages.
00:09:56.800 Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky blames the blackouts on Russian self-detonating drones
00:10:03.320 made in Iran.
00:10:04.980 After the night strike, the strike by Iranian drones, Odessa and other cities and villages
00:10:09.800 of the region are in the dark.
00:10:11.960 Ukraine's military says it shot down 10 out of 15 explosive drones Russia fired Friday
00:10:18.340 night.
00:10:19.200 The region's energy authority warns stabilizing the power grid could take weeks, even months.
00:10:25.480 Serbia does not recognize Kosovo's independence, and its president has asked NATO to deploy troops
00:10:31.740 into Kosovo.
00:10:33.100 Aleksandr Vucic has also appealed to Serbs and Albanians living near the border to remain
00:10:38.200 calm.
00:10:39.660 At the meeting, we discuss what we have to do.
00:10:43.460 What is important is that we appeal to Albanians and to Serbs to preserve peace and to calm the
00:10:48.960 situation.
00:10:50.380 I appeal to Serbs in northern Kosovo and Matoia to be calm and not fall for provocations.
00:10:55.820 Imagine being in Eastern Europe, all right on the shores of the Black Sea, like Odessa.
00:11:04.260 That's some of that video right there.
00:11:05.600 That was from one of the piers that my brother and I visited this summer, that beach.
00:11:09.560 We collected sand from it.
00:11:11.360 So imagine you're sitting there in the snow, in the wind, with no power whatsoever.
00:11:17.880 Ukraine is not simmering down.
00:11:20.000 I know that people tend to think they were, but no, it's actually not simmering down.
00:11:24.940 And they've got these new kamikaze drones that are going across.
00:11:27.880 Plus, plus, they're already massing for potentially an incredibly massive attack coming up later
00:11:34.840 this winter.
00:11:35.440 They're waiting for the ground to freeze on all those farms so they can send the tanks
00:11:38.880 across along with the bombers and everything else that they're looking at over there.
00:11:41.960 Plus, in Southern Europe now, we see on the border between Kosovo and Serbia, because
00:11:47.960 in some of those areas of Northern Kosovo, you've got a lot of ethnic Serbs.
00:11:52.120 So great, the Serbs and Kosovo, the Balkans, are at it again, right?
00:11:56.700 Big surprise.
00:11:58.000 And so they're talking about sending in military troops for this situation.
00:12:02.700 And Joe, what I want to ask you about is when we see this instability, when we see the
00:12:06.240 possibility, not only, obviously, there's a hot war going on in Eastern Europe right now.
00:12:10.800 The United States is involved in a proxy capacity.
00:12:13.860 Then another conflict in Southern Europe, plus just that idea of blackouts, right?
00:12:21.060 We saw the blackouts in North Carolina right around Fort Bragg.
00:12:24.880 We're seeing stuff up in the Pacific Northwest.
00:12:27.940 People are saying, what's going on with these transformers?
00:12:30.860 Why is it that we're losing power right in the middle of winter?
00:12:34.000 People need to understand that this does have a direct consequence on the global economy and
00:12:39.820 on food security, doesn't it?
00:12:41.240 Oh, 100%.
00:12:42.940 You know, I think people don't really realize the impact that the European breadbastic has
00:12:47.900 on the global supply.
00:12:49.880 You know, earlier this year, when Russia invaded the Ukraine, 33% of the global wheat exports
00:12:56.120 all of a sudden stopped, as well as the, you know, Ukraine being one of the highest producers
00:13:01.100 of sunflower oil.
00:13:02.640 So when that big of a market stops feeding that food into the system, it affects every aspect
00:13:09.100 of it, you know, we see it here, you know, in the United States with the price of our products
00:13:14.160 going up, not just my patron supply products, but normal grocery store items, because it
00:13:19.500 has like a ricocheting effect or domino effect that affects us here.
00:13:24.380 And what's been interesting to see is over the past several months, how quickly prices have
00:13:30.180 escalated.
00:13:30.740 When we talk about the wheat exports, we talk about also the, you know, Russia and the Ukraine
00:13:35.860 also being involved in fertilizer exports, where American farmers cannot get the fertilizers
00:13:41.780 that they need or that they're typically used to having.
00:13:44.320 Now they can't create the crops and they can't have that crop yield that they're normal, that
00:13:48.940 they're used to having as well.
00:13:50.120 And so that impacts us in our pocketbook right at the grocery stores.
00:13:53.980 You know, one of the things that is really happening is people are noticing it themselves.
00:13:58.920 You know, they can hear about the talk on the news.
00:14:01.040 They can see that, oh yeah, there's not a lot of exports happening from the Ukraine,
00:14:05.540 but what they see is it affecting them at their local grocery stores, you know, all the way
00:14:10.600 down to the, even the meat supplies, you know, used to go into the grocery store and have
00:14:15.040 a variety of different things sitting on the shelves.
00:14:17.260 Now grocery stores are kind of getting tricky because they don't want to let their normal
00:14:21.160 customers know that how dire of a situation that we're in, you know, they're putting all
00:14:25.120 the boxes towards the front of the shelf.
00:14:26.680 You know, you can grab one box and behind it, there's nothing else.
00:14:29.620 And so speaking of Russia, by the way, that that's what they used to do in the Soviet union.
00:14:33.440 That's what they used to do in communist Poland too.
00:14:35.520 So you would walk in and you would see the shelves look like they're totally lined with
00:14:39.180 everything.
00:14:39.820 And then I remember hearing stories about this from family members that you would go and
00:14:43.620 get one or, you know, the person in front of you, right.
00:14:45.860 Would get the last one.
00:14:46.860 And then you'd take it off and you realize it's empty.
00:14:48.660 The other thing, um, the shrinkflation that we're seeing, right.
00:14:52.000 That's the word for it.
00:14:53.020 This idea that suddenly, you know, eight to a pack goes to six to a pack and the box gets
00:14:58.620 smaller or, you know, it's 32 ounces.
00:15:01.100 Then my wife mentioned this the other day because she does the shopping for us and she's just,
00:15:05.120 what can I say?
00:15:05.840 She's amazing with numbers.
00:15:06.860 She's a total, uh, total quant when it comes to numbers.
00:15:09.800 Does all our accounting too.
00:15:11.280 And said, you know, these boxes are getting smaller and the prices are staying the same
00:15:15.420 or the box are getting smaller and the price are getting bigger.
00:15:18.400 Right.
00:15:18.960 Yeah.
00:15:19.220 I mean, you see that with everything.
00:15:20.320 I think some of the biggest hit items that again, I don't do the shopping, the grocery store
00:15:25.000 shopping, my wife, you know, that was a test.
00:15:28.960 That was the test by the way.
00:15:30.420 When I go to the stores to go pick stuff out, like my jaw does drops because I'm surprised
00:15:35.220 at how expensive things are, you know, a case of eggs is up 40, 60% over in the past, you
00:15:42.720 know, several months, the price of chicken, the price of beef, you know, the price of
00:15:46.860 our, even our noodles, like our pasta noodles are going up.
00:15:49.400 And so with all these things coming into, coming into play, now is the best time for families
00:15:55.260 to see these warning signs, but now is the time to take advantage of it and prepare while
00:16:00.900 you can.
00:16:01.440 You know, I probably sound like a broken record because I can't tell you over the past
00:16:06.100 decade, decade, I've been screaming saying, Hey, we got to get prepared because all this
00:16:10.800 stuff is happening, you know, and there's ways that, that you can get prepared, that
00:16:14.420 you can have that peace of mind that if you are affected by those blackouts, or if you
00:16:19.180 are infected by the inflation, you know, you can put a little bit away every single month
00:16:23.540 and have high quality, long lasting food that you don't have to worry about those issues
00:16:28.780 anymore.
00:16:29.120 And so I think the most beneficial thing that we can do is just to educate people and
00:16:35.780 let them know that there are options available, that you just need to do the work for, that
00:16:40.520 there's people that are all around us that want us to succeed, that want to help us out.
00:16:45.120 You just got to start doing it somehow.
00:16:47.100 You know, you know, what's, what's interesting too, is, is we see these global conflicts happening
00:16:52.020 as well.
00:16:52.400 And we see them here in the United States, but what people are failing to, to realize
00:16:56.260 most of the time is that they expect the government to step in and kind of save everybody.
00:17:01.140 And that's just not the case anymore.
00:17:03.800 It takes forever to mobilize, especially in like hurricane areas or earthquake areas.
00:17:09.760 It takes weeks upon weeks to get the supplies in.
00:17:13.020 It takes weeks to get the trucks in there.
00:17:15.860 You got to be self-sufficient because nobody's going to know about your survival than yourself.
00:17:19.360 You know, and we got, we're coming up on a break, but actually I was up in New York this
00:17:22.300 weekend, I was giving a speech up there and I actually saw a friend of mine who had been
00:17:26.480 in this hurricane and she lives near, near, you know, just south of Fort Myers on one of
00:17:31.840 the islands.
00:17:32.300 The whole island was devastated.
00:17:33.560 Everything was gone.
00:17:34.540 She lost everything, her house, all her possessions completely wiped out.
00:17:39.520 And it was just amazing to see her and see she's doing well, but people need to understand
00:17:43.440 this stuff is absolutely real.
00:17:45.980 Come right back.
00:17:46.840 Joe Reeks from My Patron Supply.
00:17:49.360 Mr. President, as you know, last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came in at 8.3%.
00:17:57.380 The stock market nosedived.
00:18:00.380 People are shocked by their grocery bills.
00:18:04.200 What can you do better and faster?
00:18:06.840 Well, first of all, let's put this in perspective.
00:18:09.440 Inflation rate month to month was just an inch, hardly at all.
00:18:14.340 You're not arguing that 8.3 is good news.
00:18:16.700 No, I'm not saying it is good news, but it was 8.2 or 8.2 before.
00:18:20.880 I mean, it's not, maybe I can make it sound like all of a sudden, my God, it went to 8.2%.
00:18:25.640 It's the highest inflation rate, Mr. President, in 40 years.
00:18:29.840 I got that.
00:18:30.800 But guess what we are.
00:18:32.360 We're in a position where for the last several months, it hasn't spiked.
00:18:36.160 It has just barely, it's been basically even.
00:18:38.540 So, Joe, I've got to continue our conversation on this.
00:18:42.160 You know, when people talk about preparedness, when people see the prices going up at the grocery store, when people realize, and it sucks, we're in Christmas season, and people know that this Christmas is going to be tough for a lot of people out there.
00:18:55.420 But when they talk about preparedness, it's like, how do you get ready?
00:19:00.140 How do you start?
00:19:01.840 Because it seems like once you start putting your mind in that headspace of, you know, anything that could go wrong will go wrong, suddenly it seems like a lot.
00:19:13.020 Suddenly it seems like too big, you know, how do you eat an elephant one bite at a time, right?
00:19:17.900 But, you know, how do you actually start to wrap your mind around that?
00:19:21.420 You know, I was just going to say that exact same thing.
00:19:24.300 It's like eating an elephant.
00:19:25.540 You know, you do it one bite at a time.
00:19:27.600 And I think people need to understand, too, that emergency preparedness, it's not a destination, but it is a journey.
00:19:34.380 And every family is going to be different.
00:19:36.300 Every family is going to have different needs, different wants, different things that they're looking for.
00:19:40.440 But the most important thing that people can do, Jack, is get started today.
00:19:44.800 Right now, while you're able to, while there's a little bit of extra money in the bank account, get started now.
00:19:50.600 Because what's coming down the pipeline is absolutely terrifying.
00:19:55.100 Terrifying for our friends overseas, but even more terrifying for us here in the United States.
00:19:59.560 We are going to be affected by this.
00:20:01.320 You know, prices, they're not done.
00:20:03.100 They're not done rising.
00:20:04.520 Prices are still going to go up.
00:20:06.400 And there is going to be a major food scare in the next coming year during 2023 because we're still living off of last year's harvest.
00:20:14.680 We haven't even begun to get the harvest from the crops this year yet.
00:20:18.420 And that's going to be coming.
00:20:19.620 And I think a lot of people are going to be shocked at how much we're going to be affected by this if they don't get prepared.
00:20:26.500 You know, and like I said, every little family, just start small.
00:20:29.580 Just start simple.
00:20:30.800 You know, you don't have to go out and get an entire year's supply of food for your family all in one shot.
00:20:35.580 Start off simple.
00:20:36.480 If you want to get just a week supply for every member of your family, start there.
00:20:40.660 But at least you're doing something because something is better than nothing.
00:20:43.520 And, you know, it's a lot better to prepare before an emergency or before a disaster than it is during or afterwards.
00:20:51.700 You know, we've all kind of been through this, though.
00:20:53.900 The past couple of years has been a roller coaster ride for a lot of people where because we all went through this global pandemic of COVID, our eyes kind of became open to the fact that, oh, my gosh, this can affect me here.
00:21:05.720 You know, I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah, and these global events are affecting me here in my local grocery stores.
00:21:11.680 But the thing is, Jack, is there's time right now to do it.
00:21:15.160 If you need help, you know, we have preparedness agents that are ready to answer your questions, to help come up with a plan that fits your specific need, because there's just not a one size fits all.
00:21:25.760 And if there's people out there that just don't know where to get started, give us a call.
00:21:29.600 We can talk to you.
00:21:30.400 We have 24-7 customer support here at MyPatriotSupply, where if in the middle of the night and you have a thought like, oh, my gosh, what do I do?
00:21:38.120 And you don't know what to do?
00:21:39.500 Guess what?
00:21:40.100 Somebody here will answer the phone.
00:21:41.380 The one – I got to tell you the one – and for me, becoming a father, I think, really changed my mind on a lot of this stuff.
00:21:48.540 And it made me understand – made me understand why my dad was so focused on Y2K back in 99, you know, when that was going down, is that it – you know, when it's just yourself, you think, okay, you know, it's just me.
00:22:01.800 I'll be fine.
00:22:02.400 I'll tough it out.
00:22:03.060 That's the guy thing, right?
00:22:04.260 But when you've got little kids, when you've got a wife, if you've got parents that live with you, like my in-laws live with us, that – you know the one that got me?
00:22:12.700 And we're actually – I just pulled this up.
00:22:15.040 We were almost at the one-year anniversary because it was New Year's Day weekend last year when the snowstorm hit in Virginia.
00:22:24.160 And I-95 – and there's an IG report that came out.
00:22:26.460 I just pulled this up during the break.
00:22:27.620 An IG report came out from the Commonwealth of Virginia that said they did not – the government – you were just talking about earlier.
00:22:34.720 The government wasn't there, totally dropped the ball on the I-95 snow incidents and was not prepared for a storm to intensify traffic to slow due to disabled vehicles, including jackknife tractor trailers.
00:22:48.460 There was a backup that kept everybody in their cars stuck in the middle of rural Virginia for an entire day.
00:22:56.600 And in my mind, I'm thinking, I drive that I-95 all the time.
00:23:01.760 What if I had been driving on that that day and my kids were in the back of the car and I didn't have any food for them in the car?
00:23:08.420 I didn't have any games for them or you've got – your phone's about to die.
00:23:12.600 Are you going to leave the gas on?
00:23:14.180 What are you going to do?
00:23:14.940 And just something as simple as that totally switched my mind in terms of all of this to say, you know what, you know, you don't have to have, you know, the entire garage full of cans.
00:23:29.340 Then again, I am friends with people who do.
00:23:33.440 They go the whole nine yards with it.
00:23:34.980 But, you know, it just makes sense.
00:23:37.000 It just totally makes sense.
00:23:38.540 And you're kind of silly to not have something like that, just an emergency kit in your car that includes food, that includes at least one bucket of food that you can use.
00:23:49.080 Or, you know, and then have a couple of them in your house because you just don't know.
00:23:52.520 You really just don't know.
00:23:54.400 Right.
00:23:54.600 You know, and like I said, going through COVID as a nation or as the world together, a lot of people began to understand and realize the importance of being prepared.
00:24:03.440 You know, 10, 12, 15 years ago, you would be considered one of the crazies, you know, talking about getting emergency food stored up in your home.
00:24:10.960 You know, they'd label you kind of like one of those crazy off whack guys.
00:24:14.620 But now you're almost crazy not to.
00:24:17.120 Tell me, real quick, while we still have some time, tell me about the battery packs that you guys had.
00:24:22.820 And you were mentioning that it came up in Texas when they had their snowstorm.
00:24:27.400 Yeah.
00:24:27.720 So last year, we remember when Texas had that freeze.
00:24:30.780 And Texas is a place that doesn't get cold.
00:24:32.640 You know, I've never been to Texas a lot.
00:24:34.580 I've been there a couple of times.
00:24:35.720 But Texas is a place that doesn't get cold.
00:24:37.680 And when they had that freeze happen, electricity was cut.
00:24:41.580 So families didn't have any type of electricity.
00:24:44.240 But a lot of our customers had something like this.
00:24:46.300 This is a solar power power pack.
00:24:48.320 Very, very simple.
00:24:49.620 Very, very small.
00:24:50.680 But the cool thing with this is they could put it out in the sun and they can let the sun rays charge this battery pack.
00:24:55.480 And then they could simply plug in their cell phone to it.
00:24:58.180 And then they could have power for their cell phone.
00:25:00.640 And that allowed them to be able to keep in touch with their family.
00:25:03.220 It allowed them to be able to get the updated news reports and just be able to be able to have conversations and communication with people outside of their city.
00:25:10.960 So emergency preparedness, it's multifaceted.
00:25:14.020 It just doesn't have to deal with emergency food.
00:25:16.540 But it could be emergency gear.
00:25:18.240 It could be having different things around your home that you can use in the event of a disaster or an emergency.
00:25:23.640 And here's one thing, Jack, that I've learned over the years.
00:25:26.020 Like yourself, I never got started into emergency preparedness until I was a dad myself.
00:25:30.760 And I thought, oh, gosh, now I got to take care of this little kid right here, too.
00:25:35.060 So that was kind of my turning point as well.
00:25:37.040 But the important thing is, is that now is the time to do it.
00:25:41.860 Now you have the information, but now you've got to take those steps for you.
00:25:45.140 Because, again, in an emergency, in a disaster, nobody's going to come bail you out.
00:25:50.560 So nobody's going to care more about your survival than yourself.
00:25:53.840 And you've got to take the initiative.
00:25:55.960 You've got to take the steps to get prepared.
00:25:58.260 But the good thing is, here at My Patriot Supply, we're here to help.
00:26:01.520 So you don't have to do it alone.
00:26:02.740 And I want everybody to know that there is a starting point.
00:26:06.480 And if you don't know where to get started or don't know how to do it, give us a call.
00:26:09.980 We can help you out.
00:26:11.300 Joe, we're just about out of time for this amazing show, super information-packed show today.
00:26:16.700 Where can people go?
00:26:18.200 Is there a website?
00:26:19.420 Is there a number?
00:26:20.420 Where can people go to get their coordinates?
00:26:22.020 You don't have to give out your cell phone unless you really want to be very popular over Christmas.
00:26:26.220 But where can people go if they want to take that first step?
00:26:28.860 You know, go visit our website, mypatriotsupply.com.

00:26:55.280 And ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay a short.
00:27:02.320 Thank you.
00:27:03.740 Thank you.
00:27:09.240 People here tonight.
00:27:21.680 Thank you.
