00:00:57.120 An 84-year-old white Kansas City man is now facing two felony charges and, if found guilty,

00:01:07.700 life in prison after a shooting that has grabbed the nation's attention. According to family and

00:01:13.780 lawyers for 16-year-old black teenager Ralph Yarl, it happened when he was trying to pick up his

00:01:18.640 brothers one night last week. They say he accidentally rang the wrong doorbell and the

00:01:23.940 man inside shot him in the head and the arm. He had to run to three different houses before someone

00:01:31.320 would help him. That has led to protests over the weekend and a massive outpouring of support on

00:01:36.880 social media. A GoFundMe for Yarl's hospital bill has surpassed $2 million. He has been released

00:01:43.080 from the hospital, thank goodness, but has a long recovery ahead. All right, the shooting of Ralph

00:01:48.960 Yarl, Kansas City, Missouri. Andrew Lester, the homeowner. What do we know and what do we not know?

00:01:55.620 Now, when one of these Ben Crump situations gets started, we know what's going to happen.

00:02:01.260 Media is going all in on this case. Wall-to-wall coverage, MSN, BC, CNN. Everybody's out there.

00:02:09.040 Everybody's talking about it, but you don't have to not talking about the simple facts of the case.

00:02:13.940 They want you to just focus on the race narrative. A white homeowner shot black kid. That's it. It's 0.95

00:02:20.700 all they want. And the kid was this, you know, they're focusing on his personal life. They're

00:02:25.760 focusing on the attributes of him. We know nothing about the homeowner whatsoever. And all I'm saying

00:02:30.720 is when it comes to these situations and myself, the human events team, producer Angelo and I,

00:02:38.160 so many of us have been going over the events of this case all day yesterday, all day today,

00:02:43.180 been digging through media narratives, digging through the probable cause statements to try to

00:02:47.060 figure out what exactly happened. And so we do have, we do have the actual, here we go.

00:02:57.760 I'm going to show you probable cause statements that have been listed by the police, or I should say by

00:03:04.000 the prosecutor, well, it's a prosecutor with the police statement. Now notice nobody else in media

00:03:09.060 is actually going to give you the probable cause statement. We will, because we're going to go

00:03:13.600 through the facts right here, right now. This occurred April 13th, 2023 at approximately 2152

00:03:22.000 hours. That's 952 Kansas city, Missouri police officers were dispatched to, and has the address

00:03:28.660 here. I'm not going to say that on air upon arrival, they located one male victim. Now they were

00:03:34.140 contacted by a party who called 911 and stated, they believed that the person who was, they believe

00:03:40.060 the person who was shot was essentially a home invader. The male was later identified as Andrew D

00:03:48.560 Lester. They gave him verbal commands to exit the residence. He complied. This is talking about when,

00:03:53.320 when he arrived, uh, he consented to a search. They searched officer wrote officer wrote,

00:03:59.920 I observed the front storm door glass broken with blood on the front porch. I observed blood on the

00:04:05.880 driveway. I observed cameras on the South and East side of the residence. I also observed blood in the

00:04:12.280 street in front of, and it has the, the address of the neighbor. A witness who was interviewed stated

00:04:18.500 that around 2150 hours, they heard an unknown vehicle pull into the driveway of the address.

00:04:25.620 The witness thought it was odd for the elderly neighbor to have a visitor this time of night.

00:04:30.260 The witness stated a short time later, they heard two to three gunshots from the address.

00:04:35.300 The witness stated afterwards, they heard the, they heard the victim screaming that he'd been shot.

00:04:40.520 They observed the victim knock on the neighbor's doors asking for help. Well, it actually just says PY.

00:04:46.660 So it says PY. The witness did not see the shooting itself. Okay. Going through. Now I mentioned those

00:04:53.700 cameras that are on there because when I first heard there were cameras in this thing, I said,

00:04:56.900 Whoa, if this thing's on camera, unfortunately, uh, even as, as tragic, it is that there's something

00:05:02.540 like this happened. You'd hope that there's something that would never happen. It seems like

00:05:05.600 it was a misunderstanding, but we need to see the video, but it says the system, it was determined.

00:05:12.700 The system was no longer functional. The last captured event was dated June 25th, 2022. So

00:05:17.340 it was not functional. So no video. What do we have here? We have the actual statement from Lester

00:05:23.600 himself. Lester told police, now keep in mind, he went to speak to police without a lawyer. You should

00:05:29.780 never ever do this. Never talk to cops without a lawyer. Lester chose to do so. He stated that late at

00:05:39.460 night, he had just laid down in bed when he heard the doorbell ring. Lester stated, he picked up his

00:05:45.340 gun, a 32 Smith and Wesson, 1888 revolver before responding to answer the door. He stated the front

00:05:52.040 door of his residence consisted of an interior main door and exterior glass storm door, both of which

00:05:57.160 were locked. Lester stated, he opened the interior door. He saw a black male, approximately six feet tall,

00:06:02.460 pulling on the exterior storm door handle. He stated, he believed someone was attempting to break

00:06:07.020 into the house and shot twice within a few seconds of opening the door. Keep in mind, this is not the

00:06:13.600 actual transcript of what he said. These words are the words of the police officer given to the

00:06:20.020 prosecutor. This is not the transcript, the phrasing, or it doesn't include the questions from Lester

00:06:26.160 himself. So we don't know exactly what Lester said. We also don't know if Lester said anything that they're

00:06:32.580 leaving out because I remember when Kyle Rittenhouse was prosecuted, there was a lot left out of those

00:06:37.460 statements too. He stated, he, he stated, he believed someone was attempting to break into the

00:06:44.440 house and shot twice within a few seconds of opening the door. Lester stated the mail ran away and he

00:06:49.440 immediately used his home phone to call 911. So Lester called 911, the homeowner called 911. He

00:06:54.660 observed a car in a driveway. He believed to be the mail's vehicle. It did not see anyone else in or around

00:06:59.200 the vehicle. This is, he also said that he was scared to death due to the man's size and his age,

00:07:05.400 84, his inability to defend himself. He believed he was protecting himself from a physical confrontation

00:07:10.440 and could not take the chance of the mail coming, coming in. Lester was visibly upset and repeatedly

00:07:16.340 expressed concern for the man he shot. The only significant difference in that statement and the

00:07:23.960 statement again, in the probable cause document from P wise from Ralph Yarl statement is that he did state

00:07:32.220 that, uh, he says that when he got up to run away, the man who resided there yelled, don't come around

00:07:40.560 here. So that is the main thing. So, um, again, from that statement, kind of a general statement saying

00:07:46.740 essentially that he didn't say anything, but Ralph says that he did say, don't come around here, folks.

00:07:53.160 This is one of those cases. That's going to get a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons. Number one,

00:07:59.760 this should not be a national news story. It is the media making it a national news story. This is a

00:08:04.380 misunderstanding, a situation where we don't have all the facts. There are no witnesses. There's no video.

00:08:10.860 It's going to be a gray issue. It was an altercation. It sounds like something that was very tragic and I wish

00:08:16.320 it never happened personally, but at the same time, we have to question ourselves. Does this really warrant

00:08:21.960 the entire nation's attention or should it be a local story? We all know why, because the media

00:08:29.880 will do anything they can to inflame racial tensions in our nation. We here at human events

00:08:35.140 daily are going to follow the facts as we always do. Here in New York city tonight, the FBI busting

00:08:42.140 what they say was a secret police station here in New York run by the Chinese government who they

00:08:47.900 were monitoring and why. Here's our chief justice correspondent, Pierre Thomas. Now

00:08:51.320 tonight, the FBI accusing the Chinese government of secretly operating a police station out of this

00:08:58.280 unassuming building in the heart of New York city. The first ever case of its kind. This case is a

00:09:04.240 further example of the audacious activities that the government of China has carried out right here

00:09:09.480 on American soil. The FBI arresting these two men in New York city today, Luz Yang Wang and Chen

00:09:16.180 Jingping, accusing them of working under the direction of China's ministry of public security.

00:09:21.720 Their office near Chinatown claimed to be a nonprofit organization providing assistance to local

00:09:27.040 residents of Chinese descent, including to help them get driver's licenses. But the FBI says the

00:09:32.960 station was a hub of Chinese counterintelligence operations in New York city used to harass and

00:09:38.700 intimidate dissidents who dared to defy China. The secret police station appears to have had a more

00:09:45.320 sinister use. Officials say Lou allegedly tracked down and terrorized a pro-democracy activist living in

00:09:52.620 California. And one stunning case sources telling ABC news, China is accused of having a secret

00:09:58.700 operative inside the zoom company and of hacking zoom sessions. Well, well, well, finally, the FBI found

00:10:06.660 out what their actual job is supposed to be. That's right. Going after real Chinese agents that are 0.99

00:10:13.500 operating within the United States. It only took them, Oh, what a year since human events daily broke

00:10:18.300 the story discussing these secret police operations that were going on throughout the United States.

00:10:23.940 Isn't the only one by the way, but we're now told that 44 individuals, including 40 officers up at

00:10:31.500 human events.com. We have the article this morning. You can go check it out. Make sure you're going to

00:10:35.100 human events.com every single day after you subscribe to the human events daily podcast.

00:10:40.680 Remember, we also have human events.com where we're posting all the latest news, all the latest

00:10:46.580 op-eds of everything that's going on. Just incredible scoops there. We had a scoop on president Trump last

00:10:52.080 night. I'm speaking at the summit. We have scoops up about this, so many other things. So the officers

00:10:57.480 from Chinese ministry of public security and two officials from the cyberspace administration of China

00:11:02.260 have been targeted with various crimes related to transnational repression schemes that targeted

00:11:08.660 Chinese nationals residing in the United States. Listen to this. The defendants were accused of

00:11:13.500 using fake. The Chinese agents were using fake social media accounts to harass and intimidate Chinese

00:11:20.480 dissidents residing abroad and sought to suppress the dissidents free speech on the platform of,

00:11:25.780 and it just says a U S telecommunications company. So we don't know if this was now it's a U S telecom

00:11:32.880 company. And so we don't know if that means that it had to be Twitter, Facebook, et cetera. It could,

00:11:38.740 depending on the way they're looking at this, it could actually be Tik TOK, right? Because we know 0.67

00:11:43.240 that CCP agents, I mean, Tik TOK is owned by the CCP. They allegedly created and used thousands of fake

00:11:49.860 online personas to target the Chinese dissidents, harass them online, disseminate propaganda in favor of the 0.65

00:11:55.100 CCP. The charges were made by U S trade's office for Eastern district of New York. They believe to

00:12:00.580 reside inside China. So that of course means ain't nothing going to happen to them, to the guys that

00:12:06.280 are in China, but we are told the elite task force is called the nine one two special project working

00:12:13.480 group, whose purpose is to target Chinese dissidents throughout the world, including the United States.

00:12:18.980 I'm talking about being a troll farm. It's going after pro-democracy following gong. I'm sure they 0.99

00:12:26.400 target the Epoch times disputing, right? Disputing and disrupting efforts to commemorate the Tiananmen

00:12:32.280 square massacre. Of course, because why wouldn't you, right? If you're the CCP, look, we've talked

00:12:38.000 about this a long time, but here's a couple of angles about the CCP. I don't think anyone's talked

00:12:41.300 about the CCP longer than me. I've said a million times when I went to China, when I lived in China,

00:12:47.300 I learned the truth about the CCP, study Mandarin. I wanted to come back to the United States and use 1.00

00:12:51.360 my knowledge to do the right thing regarding the rise of China, joined the Navy, and then found that

00:12:58.160 the military and the intel community wasn't doing very much about the rise of China. And so kind of

00:13:03.760 here to before you to expose this to everybody. Now, why is the FBI going at this? Why is the Biden

00:13:08.960 administration doing this? The same Biden administration that did absolutely nothing when

00:13:13.100 a Chinese spy balloon flew all the way across the United States and investigated and sucked up data

00:13:19.480 on every single one of our nuclear sites. And notice, like we said last week, it seems like the

00:13:25.480 Biden administration is pivoting away from Ukraine yet again. Let me explain. The Biden administration,

00:13:33.000 even though we know that Biden and his family have had so many dealings with China, they're attempting to

00:13:39.720 put pressure on the CCP right now because we're looking at is an oligarch fight at the highest

00:13:44.040 levels. What do I mean by that? The system of globalism was erected, and we've gone through

00:13:49.480 the story a million times, was erected after the Tiananmen Square massacre. So that was June 4th,

00:13:56.420 1989. You notice what happened throughout the 90s. The U.S. investment, the Western capital started

00:14:02.840 flowing into China. Then at the end of the 90s, who was instrumental? Bill Clinton and later George W. Bush

00:14:09.600 in allowing the CCP and the People's Republic of China to enter into the World Trade Organization.

00:14:16.760 This was the deal. We could have isolated them. We could have cut them off like we cut off Russia 1.00

00:14:20.940 after the Ukraine invasion, but we didn't. We made a deal. Or I should say our leaders and elites made

00:14:27.340 a deal. They said, you're going to come in and we're going to create this system called globalism,

00:14:32.940 and you are going to be the manufacturers where you're going to have the slave labor. You will provide

00:14:37.420 that. We will provide the capital and the IP. So, and we'll cut you, you know, we'll cut you a little

00:14:43.500 bit off on the side. Pay for the use of the labor. And so we'll all get rich. And who cares about the

00:14:51.720 gutting out of the Midwest, the South, and the Rust Belt of the United States? That's been the true story 0.85

00:14:57.800 of the last 30 years. That's why everything is made in China now. That's why you see some of these 0.99

00:15:04.420 people who are tied into this at the elite level, the chamber of commerce level, they're getting

00:15:11.520 filthy rich off the backs of this. But here's the problem. The CCP is trying to cut them out.

00:15:16.540 So the CCP is now trying to exert their influence and power and be the senior partner. The globalist

00:15:23.900 American empire does not want that. And that's why you're seeing actions like this be taken now.

00:15:28.760 Folks, a lot of people complain about the state of our country or the way woke corporations treat us

00:15:33.740 and their employees. But it's not enough to complain. We need to change the way the marketplace

00:15:37.240 works. And that starts with you and where you spend your money. In less than one year,

00:15:48.820 took a stand against the COVID mandates, or a bank that would never cancel you, your political views,

00:16:14.800 our hard-earned dollars. Begin your search at Public Square today. In recent years, there has been a

00:16:21.060 steady increase of misinformation. Two historians have assembled a team to push back on what they call

00:16:26.920 myths surrounding some of the country's most pressing issues and defining moments. They recently spoke

00:16:32.260 with Jeff Bennett about their new collection, Myth America, historians take on the biggest legends and

00:16:37.620 lies about our past. The book's essays take on everything from feminism to white backlash over

00:16:44.840 the removal of Confederate monuments to American exceptionalism to Trump's America first approach.

00:16:50.920 Kevin, what for you was the organizing principle behind this book of essays?

00:16:56.840 Well, our main purpose was to push back against some of the lies and myths that are out there in

00:17:01.180 public discourse today. So certain topics presented themselves as obvious ones, but the more we got

00:17:06.560 into it, we wanted to give a full picture of the range of American history and the misrepresentations

00:17:11.160 about them.

00:17:11.580 Greg Price, the great Greg Price is out, uh, the comms director of the state freedom caucus network.

00:17:18.900 And what does he have for us? Huge new story. Make sure you go to gregprice.stubstack.com and check

00:17:24.620 this all out. Greg has reviewed five new AP high school U S history textbooks that cover the Trump

00:17:33.200 administration. And what does it say? The historians who wrote them put their full liberal bias on display

00:17:39.120 in terms of what they included and what they left out. Textbooks covered the minimal influence of

00:17:47.060 Russia on social media, but do not mention the steel dossier, the FBI abuses of FISA to spy on

00:17:53.340 president Trump and the Trump campaign, the illegal unmasking of general Flynn, the strong page text,

00:17:58.360 et cetera. Here's what it says. Listen to this. This is from the American pageant, the history of the

00:18:04.780 American people. The campaign maelstrom intensified when WikiLeaks, an international organization

00:18:12.220 dedicated to disclosing confidential documents, released thousands of emails illegally filched

00:18:18.900 from inside the Clinton campaign. American intelligence services concluded that Russian

00:18:24.300 hackers were the source of WikiLeaks information trove and that Russia had interfered in the election

00:18:29.180 in a myriad of other ways as well, generating thousands of false social media accounts whose combative

00:18:34.440 posts fueled already raging partisan fires, Russia had cleverly manipulated the cacophonous social 0.90

00:18:42.120 media environment to exploit and amplify political divisions in order to disrupt the American electoral

00:18:49.320 conference. The principal beneficiary of the chaos was Donald J. Trump, who ultimately prompted several

00:18:58.620 investigations to possible conclusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. The unexpected outcome.

00:19:07.180 I'm sorry. I can't even, I can't even go for the unexpected outcome of the 2016 election. So they just,

00:19:14.900 they're just writing that in a textbook for kids, that it was an unexpected outcome as if electing a guy

00:19:21.960 that the elites didn't want isn't allowed. And, and suddenly the 2016 election itself was called into

00:19:28.920 scrutiny. This is how much conservatives have lost. Do you understand the old conservative movement in

00:19:34.840 this country is a joke. It's an absolute joke. They're brainwashing your children. They're doing it right in

00:19:42.520 front of your faces. Every single time you send them to one of these schools, every single time you allow your

00:19:48.440 school board to put this in there, they're going to put them in there and they're going to brainwash

00:19:51.980 them to hate you. They're going to brainwash them to change their gender, to come home and have their 1.00

00:19:56.600 genitals mutilated because mommy and daddy go to church every weekend because mommy and daddy didn't 0.99

00:20:01.860 vote the right way because mommy and daddy are the wrong skin color. This is what's going on in this 1.00

00:20:07.220 country. If you people don't think for a second that we are not coming, becoming neo Bolshevik

00:20:13.520 insanity, then you have not been paying attention for two seconds. I'm sick and tired of hearing

00:20:20.700 conservatives come at us and they clap back at me. They clap back at Charlie Kirk. They clap back at so

00:20:25.380 many of us for saying, Oh, you guys are taking it to Matt Walsh. You guys are taking it to you blowing

00:20:30.320 it out. You blow it out of proportion. You're blowing it all. They're brainwashing. They're just straight

00:20:35.100 up lying to children. They're going in and this is AP. This is an AP textbook. This is now the official

00:20:43.740 lexicon. History is written by the victors. That is why when we get back in power, the people who wrote

00:20:57.280 this textbook should be arrested and they should be arrested and put on full public display of the

00:21:03.900 entire country for corrupting our children and corrupting minors of this country and lying to 0.99

00:21:09.180 them about what's been going on. They should be put on trial. Absolutely. They should be behind arrest

00:21:15.500 every single person who wrote this textbook, arrest all of them. Listen to that. It's all Trump is all

00:21:20.320 working for Putin. The whole thing. He was a, what's the next one. He's a sexual predator. He was,

00:21:25.880 you know, he was, he was banging interns. He was doing every, basically they taken everything that

00:21:29.920 Bill Clinton actually did. And they're applying it to Trump. This is incredible. This is absolutely

00:21:34.240 incredible experience history. They're saying that Trump didn't, um, didn't condemn Charlottesville.

00:21:40.520 He did many times. Uh, what's next. What's next. What's next. He appealed successfully to nostalgia

00:21:47.300 for a time when people of color and women knew they are placed and that it was racist for president

00:21:53.720 Trump to tweet that LeBron James lacked intelligence when we already know he does. He can't read past the

00:21:58.120 first page of a book. Uh, they cover, they cover Ferguson. They cover Michael Brown. They cover

00:22:04.060 officer Darren Wilson. They use hand. They actually include the hands up. Don't shoot lie. They include

00:22:10.000 it. And then, Oh, January 6th, January 6th, full-on insurrection, the storming of the cat. Look,

00:22:16.180 conservatives need to wake up. You wake up right now. You're sitting back there. You're watching Sean

00:22:21.580 Hannity. You're watching all these other shows designed to make you feel good. You lost, you've lost so

00:22:27.000 much of the country. Are you going to fight back? Are you actually going to use your voice to get

00:22:32.880 this movement and get this country back on track? Or are you just going to sit back and complain and

00:22:38.140 say like, Oh, the kids are dumb or the kids are this? Well, guess what? Those same kids in the 1.00

00:22:43.380 system that you keep supporting that you've been supporting with your tax dollars that you've been

00:22:48.480 supporting by sending your kids to these indoctrination centers. Why do you think they come

00:22:52.400 home and they don't like you? Why do you think they come home and say, mommy, I don't want to be a

00:22:57.080 boy anymore. I want to be a girl. You know who would let them go to that school. You did, you know, 0.63

00:23:01.340 who sat back and, and allowed the schools to become this way. You did. I'm sick of it. I'm so sick. And

00:23:07.420 I'm not talking about the people I'm talking about the conservative leaders in this country that have

00:23:11.980 led this movement for so many years. You're a joke. You are a ridiculous joke. You've lost. You've 0.99

00:23:17.620 completely lost the plot. If you allow any school in this country to be teaching this insanity,

00:23:25.300 then you are a loser. Take the L. And if you don't realize how bad you've lost, that just shows how 0.99

00:23:33.700 dumb you are. That shows how absolutely stupid you are to let them do this to your own children, 1.00

00:23:41.520 right under your nose in your, and you're paying them to do it. You're even paying them to do 1.00

00:23:47.560 it. You're on your knees for them. And you don't even know it. You think I'm in a position of

00:23:54.080 strength because I'm allowing my kids be exposed to is this nonsense. It's perverted nonsense because 0.76

00:24:01.420 you are perverting history and you're allowing that perversion to enter into young children.

00:24:07.180 And yeah, I do mean the double entendre of that because you know, they're doing it from a 0.99

00:24:12.040 sexualization standpoint as well. This is sick. This, this whole thing is sick, but you're gonna 0.96

00:24:19.320 let them do it. You're gonna let them do it because you're weak. You're pathetic. You're a disgrace. 0.88

00:24:26.300 Actually stand up and fight back. Are you going to conserve this country? Are you going to restore 1.00

00:24:33.120 the new American Republic? Or are you just going to let them keep marching on and take their kids

00:24:39.520 with you? I think we know. You're going to let them take the kids. Then let them take your wife. 1.00

00:24:44.980 You're going to let them take your girlfriend until you are left with nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, 0.93

00:24:50.900 you have my permission to let you show me.
