00:00:00.000 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily, powered by
00:00:03.460 Turning Point USA. Today is April 24th, 2023. Anno Domini. Today's sub-story, the United States
00:00:09.240 stopped Ukraine from attacking Russia on the war anniversary. We're going to break it all down.
00:00:14.940 Next, CCP ambassador coming out and saying that ex-Soviet states are not real countries. And
00:00:21.260 finally, big international stuff today, folks, behind the collapse of Sudan. What does this have
00:00:26.820 to do with a Russian naval port on the Red Sea? All this and we're ahead to Human Events Daily.
00:00:43.000 Yesterday marked 11 months since Russia's brutal, full-scale invasion of Ukraine. 11 months in
00:00:50.780 which the Ukrainian people have showed Putin and the world the full force of their courage and
00:00:56.560 the indomitable determination to live free. And through every single step of this horrific war,
00:01:04.040 the American people have been strong and unwavering in support. And Democrats and Republicans in Congress
00:01:10.180 have stood together. The United States has worked in lockstep with our allies and partners around the
00:01:15.600 world to make sure you, the Ukrainian people, are in the strongest possible position to defend their
00:01:20.980 nation, their families, and against the brutal, the truly brutal aggression of Russia. I haven't seen
00:01:28.300 the likes of this in a long time. The United States and Europe are fully united.
00:01:33.900 So massive report that just came out last night. Now, of course, we have to take us with a grain of
00:01:39.920 salt because it comes to us via the Washington Post. And remember, folks, we talked about this last
00:01:45.380 week when it came to the whistleblower from Discord. So the Discord whistleblower, that was an unauthorized
00:01:52.980 leak. That guy, they ran the book at him. They threw the book at him. They arrested him on live TV
00:02:00.860 with cameras overhead, full theatrics on display. But look at this. Now in the Washington Post,
00:02:08.460 we have an authorized leak. So there's a new authorized leak according to Intel, according to
00:02:16.760 the Intel. Listen to this because what the Washington Post is putting out is I think what
00:02:22.940 we're actually seeing is a CYA leak because there was information that came out in those Discord leaks
00:02:30.600 that the U.S. government didn't want the Ukrainians to know and that the U.S. government definitely
00:02:36.480 didn't want Russia to know because it showed a few things. It showed number one, the U.S. government
00:02:41.300 knew that the war in Ukraine is not going along as swimmingly and easily as the U.S. is called
00:02:49.820 for. They act like it's everything's, you know, horseshoes and roses and rainbows. But it's not.
00:02:56.800 I mean, the original rainbow is not the new one. And instead, Ukraine is not. This thing has turned
00:03:02.400 into a quagmire, turned into an absolute quagmire. And so what do we see here? At U.S. behest,
00:03:08.160 Ukraine held off on anniversary attacks on Russia. Kiev's head of military intelligence planned
00:03:14.060 bold strikes deep behind enemy lines that unnerved officials in Washington. So the narrative on this
00:03:21.700 is that the U.S. was pulling Ukraine back. All right. And keep in mind, this is their narrative.
00:03:27.020 Remember, the first anniversary of Ukraine. And I'll admit that we all expected something to happen
00:03:34.100 right on that first anniversary. And it looks as though the Russians from their side. Remember,
00:03:39.280 they're the ones who shortened their their supply lines. They're the ones who moved back to hardened
00:03:43.660 positions, move their forces back. They're still in Ukraine. But instead of giving those extended
00:03:47.880 supply lines, extended front lines, they moved everything back. They hardened up their defenses
00:03:52.420 because it seemed as though they were acting as if some offensive were coming to place from the
00:03:58.700 Ukrainians, at least over the winter. We're also hearing this in the spring. And it just seemed
00:04:02.580 timing wise that the one year anniversary would be a the obvious time to do that. Well, it turns out
00:04:09.020 that that's exactly what the Ukrainians were planning. A major general, the head of Ukraine's
00:04:14.080 intelligence directorate, instructed one of his officers, quote, to get ready for mass strikes
00:04:17.800 on the 24th of February with everything we have, according. Listen to this. According to a
00:04:23.680 classified report from the U.S. National Security Agency, officials even used about a cease based
00:04:29.720 strike in the Black Black Sea port city of Novorossiuk, a largely symbolic operation that would
00:04:36.100 nevertheless demonstrate Ukraine's ability to keep deep inside enemy territory. Back inside Washington,
00:04:42.460 officials were secretly monitoring the Ukrainians' plans. The White House had long worried that
00:04:47.680 attacks inside Russia, they were planning to attack inside of Russia, could provoke an aggressive
00:04:51.820 response from the Kremlin. On February 22nd, two days before the anniversary, the CIA circulated a new
00:04:58.320 classified report. Quote, the Ukrainians had agreed with Washington's request to postpone strikes.
00:05:06.400 The documents, part of a trove, so this is part of the discord trove that we're now looking at.
00:05:11.380 They don't explain precisely who interceded and why the Ukrainians agreed to stand down,
00:05:16.220 but they offer a broader, specific example of tensions that has characterized much of the war.
00:05:21.640 Ukraine, eager to bring the fight to Russia's home turf, is sometimes restrained by the United
00:05:26.160 States. This is where the Washington Post is coming into CIA mode, which has tried to avoid escalating
00:05:31.480 the conflict into direct flight between the U.S. and Russia forces, and yet mysterious explosions and
00:05:37.420 drone strikes seem to happen in Russia. And so we know they've done this. We know that Ukraine's and
00:05:44.920 Ukrainian forces have gone in and conducted strikes in Russia, as well as targeted assassinations.
00:05:50.080 If you remember, the SBU was trying to take out this guy, Alexander Dugin, and he ended up switching
00:05:56.200 cars at the last minute when he was, I believe this was in Moscow. And then his daughter was driving his
00:06:02.020 car. He was riding with somebody else. The car blew up. It had a car bomb. So a vehicle-borne IED,
00:06:07.180 this is Al-Qaeda level stuff, that blew up the car, but that was intended for Dugin. That was
00:06:14.140 actually his car. But he left this dinner in another car. His daughter drove his car. His
00:06:18.540 daughter was killed. Now some people say she was targeted, but it never really made much sense to
00:06:22.680 me. Obviously, this guy is much more well-known. The Western press tries to refer to Dugin as Putin's
00:06:29.120 brain. That was done right in Moscow, right in the heart of everything. And so the fact that the U.S.
00:06:36.180 government is trying to pull Ukraine back is something that should give us all pause. And
00:06:41.880 the fact that the Washington Post wants to play that up should give us all pause as well. Are we
00:06:46.920 seeing the Biden administration? We've been saying that for weeks here on Human Events.
00:06:50.920 Is the Biden administration trying to pull back Ukraine from Russia? We'll see. Friends, it's hard

00:07:48.660 China's role as a mediator in the Russia-Ukraine war has come under the scanner. This after remarks
00:07:58.500 by a Chinese diplomat on post-Soviet nations and on Crimea sparked a controversy. The comments
00:08:06.100 drew sharp reactions from multiple nations in Europe and from Ukraine as well. They also raised
00:08:12.900 questions on whether China has a neutral stance which it claims to have on the war. Now, the
00:08:19.620 comments were made by China's ambassador to France, Lu Sheyi. He was speaking to a French
00:08:25.060 TV channel where he questioned the sovereignty of post-Soviet states. He said that these states
00:08:31.860 do not actually have the status of independent nations, adding that there is no international
00:08:37.860 agreement to materialize their sovereign status. Well, well, well, the CCP is up to their new
00:08:48.260 coalition yet again. So this is probably the closest that we've seen with the CCP ambassador
00:08:53.940 suggesting that ex-Soviet states aren't real countries. This is the closest that we've seen
00:08:59.860 to China essentially co-opting not only Russia's goals in Ukraine or the war in Ukraine. Of course,
00:09:08.260 we've also heard Xi Jinping call for peace, but this is probably the closest that we've seen for the
00:09:12.260 first time the CCP echoing Russia's position on the Ukraine war. Because of course, this is the same
00:09:21.620 thing that Vladimir Putin said immediately prior to that one year, uh, one year ago invasion of
00:09:29.460 Ukraine. When he said, we're not invading Ukraine, we are retaking former Russian territory. That was
00:09:37.540 part of ours. And by the way, places where the people in the people who currently live there wish to
00:09:43.620 become part of Russia. And in some of those areas like the East, some of those areas like Crimea, um,
00:09:49.700 that's exactly what bore out on the ground. And so they're calling it, um, as a listen to this,
00:09:56.580 this is a, uh, uh, from zero hedge, China is quickly trying to backtrack calling statements
00:10:02.020 of one of its ambassadors, merely personal views after a firestorm was set off in Europe,
00:10:06.260 resulting in outrage, a tip for tat response, including the summoning of ambassadors, uh,
00:10:11.300 China's ambassador to France, Lu Xiaoye sparked anger in Europe during a French interview
00:10:17.380 by questioning the sovereignty of former Soviet Republics. His controversial response
00:10:21.700 was that Crimea belongs to Russia historically, and that it had been handed over to Ukraine.
00:10:26.980 But quote, even these countries of the former Soviet Union do not have an effective status
00:10:33.380 in international law because there are no international agreements that would specify
00:10:39.060 their status as sovereign countries. Now, I don't know. Now, of course, people are going to talk
00:10:44.740 about Crimea. People are going to talk about the Donbass, but you have to understand what he's referring
00:10:49.060 to here. You have to understand why someone from China would say that not only in the sense of this
00:10:53.220 broader, um, alliance that we've talked about before of China and Russia, driving them to get
00:10:58.820 the stupidest thing that the U S uh, establishment could ever do is to take the country with the
00:11:06.660 largest population and the country with the most nuclear warheads, and then drive them into alliance
00:11:12.180 together against us, right? Obviously the stupidest thing, the most important purpose for American
00:11:18.900 foreign policy for a hundred years prior to this was keeping them isolated. So during World War II,
00:11:25.940 the U S aligned with the Soviet Union to defeat Germany, right? So it was a, a, a triangulation
00:11:32.900 to defeat Germany, defeat a separate enemy. Then during the cold war, what did the U S do shifted
00:11:37.940 allegiance? This is through Nixon. This is through Kissinger shifted the allegiance where the U S and the
00:11:42.660 Soviet Union were now competitors. So the U S used China flip them and made China aligned with the
00:11:50.180 United States. So it was the U S and China against the Soviet Union. Yet what happened after that?
00:11:55.620 Well, the outgrowth of that was China becoming massively powerful, extremely overpowered, uh,
00:12:00.820 this dark and evil deal that was done between the globalists, the elites and the United States
00:12:06.820 between the U S and China. After the events of Tiananmen square, I sound like a broken record
00:12:11.060 because of his at least three times a week on the show here, but you need to understand that because
00:12:15.940 nobody else is putting the pieces together the way we are here at human events daily.
00:12:19.940 Then the U S and China suddenly began being aligned against each other. But here's the trick.
00:12:27.060 Then the U S also began demonizing Russia also began Russia gate began, uh, the lies on the Ukraine
00:12:34.260 phone call again and again and again, the collusion between Hillary Clinton, the Clinton foundation,
00:12:39.380 Joe Biden, Biden family, Hunter Biden, Burisma, et cetera. Um, the Maidan coup, et cetera, et cetera,
00:12:44.260 et cetera, under Barack Obama with of course, Victoria Nuland, who we're going to be talking
00:12:47.940 about in Sudan in just a minute. So now this aligns Russia with China in a block against the United States.
00:12:57.860 So now the Eastern block has become a parallel adversary and a parallel system to the current
00:13:07.460 U S economic system. But, but why would the CCP also want to talk about these historic areas?
00:13:16.340 I'll tell you why, because if you know someone who spent any time in China or focused on China,
00:13:21.220 you know that this is the exact same argument that the CCP uses for Taiwan, for Tibet, for Xinjiang,
00:13:28.180 for Hong Kong, for every single area of Hong Kong, of China. They claim, and particularly with,
00:13:35.300 with Tibet and Xinjiang, uh, these are areas that do not have ethnic Han Chinese that do that were not
00:13:42.100 historically part of China under really any epoch other than the, the UN dynasty, which was the
00:13:47.860 Mongol empire. So yes, the Mongols ruled these areas of Xinjiang and Tibet along with China,
00:13:54.340 but that's also because it was the Mongolian empire. All right. Under Genghis Khan that had
00:13:59.540 nothing to do with the current state of China today, the same way that the people's Republic of China
00:14:06.020 never once had sovereignty over Taiwan. And of course only attained sovereignty over Hong Kong in 1997.
00:14:13.620 And so this has always been though, the CCP's argument for its control of these areas. So what
00:14:21.780 are they doing? What is he doing? And of course they, you know, I think what essentially happened
00:14:25.700 here is these, uh, said the quiet part out loud. And that's why he's getting slapped down a little
00:14:29.780 bit. He said the quiet part out loud that internally the CCP agrees with Russia, that Ukraine, Belarus,
00:14:38.020 many other countries that were part of that former Soviet, like Kazakhstan, okay, which is also a border
00:14:43.940 state with China do not have full sovereignty because they are under Russian input. Now, historically,
00:14:50.740 linguistically, et cetera, you can talk about these things, but it's also to backstop their arguments
00:14:57.380 for Tibet, Xinjiang, where all the Uyghurs are in camps. And of course their eventual, what I've called
00:15:04.340 assimilation of Taiwan, it's coming. You better believe it's coming. And this guy only got in
00:15:10.340 trouble because he said it out loud. Tonight, a glimmer of hope for some Americans trapped in Sudan
00:15:17.860 following eight days of violence and bloodshed.
00:15:24.900 The Sudanese military announcing the United States, Britain, France, and China will evacuate
00:15:30.340 their diplomats and citizens by air with military transport aircraft belonging to their armed forces
00:15:35.700 from Khartoum. Saudi Arabia completing the first civilian evacuations this morning, rescuing more
00:15:42.020 than 150 of its own citizens and those of other countries, first by caravan and then by ship.
00:15:48.740 While officials familiar with the planning say the Biden administration
00:15:52.100 is leaning towards evacuating the roughly 70 U.S. government personnel in Khartoum,
00:15:56.980 today the Pentagon saying they're preparing for various contingencies,
00:16:00.820 but declining to talk about potential operations. There are more than 16,000 other Americans currently
00:16:07.380 sheltering in place, including Rebecca Winter's sister-in-law, a teacher in the capital city of
00:16:12.660 Khartoum. She's now hiding with her infant daughter. Why is it that anywhere Victoria Newland goes,
00:16:18.980 eventually civil war, conflict, murder, strife, and all the rest follow along? Well, just like we saw
00:16:28.100 in the Maidan revolution, 2014, the last time Victoria Newland was in office, because we've,
00:16:35.060 for some reason, outsourced all of American foreign policy to her, to this insane woman. Now,
00:16:41.140 Victoria Newland, who just about one year ago was in Sudan, suddenly all of Sudan is completely falling
00:16:47.620 apart. And we've got this article right here from Breitbart. Another couple of citizens feel
00:16:51.940 abandoned as diplomats are airlifted out of Sudan. Western nations are rushing to, this is the third,
00:16:57.620 as far as I can tell, embassy evacuation of, of the Biden administration. Western nations are rushing
00:17:04.420 to evacuate their embassy staff as a struggle for power between rival military factions and testifies.
00:17:09.620 Still, some voices concerned lessons from the chaotic evacuation of Kabul have not been heeded.
00:17:16.660 The US, the UK, Japan, France, Germany, and Italy are among Western countries who have extracted
00:17:21.780 embassy staff from Sudan over the weekend, a major logistical feat in a surging conflict. So what are
00:17:27.140 the three? Remember, Kabul, Kiev, and now Sudan, the country of the city is Khartoum. So the airport
00:17:36.500 has seen fighting. The runway has been damaged. The US conducted a military operation that special
00:17:41.700 forces to extract government personnel. But unfortunately, the citizenry seems to have
00:17:47.140 been forgotten yet again. What is the point of all this? Well, I mean, you read some of this stuff and
00:17:54.420 it's, it's insane. Listen to it. So Sudan, and if we can do a map break to show people exactly where
00:18:01.700 Sudan is and why it matters, Sudan is immediately adjacent to the Red Sea directly across from Saudi
00:18:08.500 Arabia. The timeline is in, in February of this year, Sudan agreed to a Russian naval base on the Red
00:18:16.900 Sea. Then of course, just one year ago, Victoria Nuland was visiting Sudan calling for democracy. We need
00:18:24.100 more democracy. And she was meeting with the African union, uh, commissioner Bancolay Adioye
00:18:30.820 to discuss our joint commitment to advance peace and security in the horn and throughout Africa,
00:18:35.300 including demo democratic transition in Sudan, stabilization in Somalia and peace and humanitarian
00:18:42.340 access in Ethiopia, peace and humanitarian access. Yes. If there's anything that Victoria Nuland
00:18:48.980 is so associated with it's the outbreak of peace, she's definitely not associated with Libya. She's
00:18:55.780 definitely not associated with the regime of change operation in Syria that went on under her watch.
00:19:00.740 And she's certainly not associated with anything that went on in that, that pristine and wonderful
00:19:08.500 peace loving country that we all know of Ukraine. Yeah. Victoria Nuland's got a really strong record
00:19:15.620 when it comes to peace. When you look at Ukraine, the thing that was on fire during the first time
00:19:21.700 she was there and then completely erupted the second time she came back. Great job, Victoria Nuland.
00:19:27.940 Basically, if you're a country anywhere in the world, particularly in the global south or in the third
00:19:32.340 world, and, and you know that Victoria Nuland is coming, just leave, just get, don't let her come.
00:19:38.420 Just tell the airplane to turn away. Just say, no, no, not her. She is not allowed in. Deny her,
00:19:43.860 deport Victoria Nuland immediately. And, um, you know, Victoria Nuland should obviously be arrested.
00:19:50.260 So what's going on. Apparently the government of you of Sudan has agreed to a Russian naval base,
00:19:58.500 or at least a presence on the red sea right there across from Saudi Arabia. Now this goes,
00:20:05.140 this goes in conjunction with what, what we were just talking about, the rise of the Eastern block
00:20:08.900 and Africa, just like in the cold war is seen as one of these sort of power leverage positions within
00:20:16.900 the world where you're seeing this play out. Of course, this will give them, uh, they'll give them
00:20:21.300 access to the red sea, give them access to the massive amounts of, of shipping, commercial traffic,
00:20:27.140 oil traffic that goes through there. And of course it will give Russian, the Russians access to a greater
00:20:34.340 part of the global, uh, of global sea commerce. Now, keep in mind, that's also one of the reasons
00:20:39.860 that Russia was so clear and so direct in maintaining the Assad presidency or Assad rule in Syria,
00:20:46.740 because they do the exact same thing at Latakia, Syria at TARDIS. They have the naval presence there.
00:20:52.740 Russia is a land power, any access, warm water port access that they can get is absolutely critical
00:21:00.500 for Russia. And so for them to expand their influence throughout the Middle East, throughout
00:21:04.580 Central Asia, and now coming into Africa, uh, when you look at that ability for the red sea,
00:21:10.180 it a hundred percent makes sense. This is the same reason, by the way, that you saw under,
00:21:14.100 under Hillary Clinton, all the celebrities, George Clooney, everyone going to Sudan. It was all the
00:21:18.580 Darfur, the Darfur that are, you didn't hear about the Darfur anymore. It was all an influence
00:21:22.580 operation. You need to understand this. You need to see these psyops when they're coming. Oh,
00:21:26.660 the Darfur. They don't care about Darfur. They care about oil. They care about shipping. They
00:21:31.220 care about power. That's what these care. These people care about. They are greedy,
00:21:34.900 naked, uh, imperialists. And that's exactly what it's about. And so here's how the U S policy
00:21:41.140 in a nutshell plays out in Africa. So the U S comes in and demands that an African regime,
00:21:47.220 whichever one it is, uh, do exactly as they say, or they will fund a rebel group to come up,
00:21:53.220 or in this case, use parts of the military to go up and launch a coup of this, the current
00:21:58.420 government. If the current government doesn't like that government, what will they do? Well,
00:22:02.340 now the Russians come in and they'll say, we're going to hire Wagner group, and we're going to use
00:22:06.740 them to kill all the people of that other rebel group or that other military faction that the
00:22:11.540 Americans are funding. That's what you see going on here on the ground. This is destabilization of a
00:22:16.740 regime. This is destabilization. They're attempting a regime change operation right now, as we speak
