In this special edition of Human Events Daily, host Alex Blumberg sits down with the founder of Lives With TikTok, Haya Raichik, to talk about her experience after being doxxed by the New York Times and how she dealt with the fallout.
00:00:44.560But we've been reaching out to a bunch of people that we have in the Human Events Daily expended universe.
00:00:50.760And one of the things that I wanted to do is, for a few times, just be able to actually talk with people that are making so much of the news that we do, so much of the coverage that we do.
00:01:04.580And obviously, there's issues every single day.
00:01:07.440There's always going to be some crazy breaking news.
00:01:10.420There's always going to be some crazy insanity that you see.
00:01:15.120And the craziest stuff that you see every day is always, of course, on Libs of TikTok.
00:02:14.340And the Trans Day of Vengeance was being called for that week in Washington, D.C., where our book reading was being scheduled.
00:02:21.220And I talked to her about it, and I said, look, I totally understand if you don't want to come to this, if you, you know, have a scheduling issue or something.
00:02:29.560Because we know there's going to be police, there's going to be private security.
00:02:34.240But, hey, given the situation, it's still a crapshoot.
00:02:56.780And that's why I'm very excited that we have her here today on Human Events Daily.
00:03:10.700We are very excited to welcome back here Human Events Daily.
00:03:14.060Haya Raichik, the founder of Lives with TikTok.
00:03:16.300If I remember correctly, this is not your first time on the show, but this is the first time that we've actually had you on the show as yourself.
00:05:36.480I mean, like, they were coming to my parents' house.
00:05:39.400And, you know, I'm obviously not going to stand for that.
00:05:42.280So, I'm going to, I'm just going to fight harder.
00:05:44.900And also, at the end of the day, they, they're doing it because, because they were trying to scare me into silence.
00:05:51.260And just knowing that and knowing that I'm actually going to do the exact opposite, because these people are, are people that we, you know, we disagree on basically everything.
00:06:01.860And these are people who are coming after kids.
00:06:04.300So, I'm going to do whatever I can to actually do the exact opposite of what they want.
00:06:08.500No, I couldn't agree more, because at the end of the day, it's, it's, they, they seem to think that if they can, if they can silence you through intimidation, then they're going to win.
00:06:21.620But they don't seem to realize that they are the ones, it's, it's, it's sort of, what's the line?
00:06:26.600They, they cry out in pain as they strike you.
00:06:29.080So, it's like, you're the ones who are attacking us in the first place.
00:06:32.880They're like, well, who, you know, what caused the radicalization of a higher right chick?
00:06:38.240What caused the radicalization of Jack?
00:06:39.960So, it's like, it's like, you understand, we're doing this in response to the things you are doing, right?
00:07:16.240But, I mean, just my way of doing things, and yours as well, I know.
00:07:20.240And I think a lot of, more of, like, the independent commentators and people like that is, you know, we, we, we need to start going on the offense.
00:07:30.840And I think that's what scares them as well.
00:07:32.780Instead of just reacting to them and just always getting defensive, you know, we, we're going to go on offense.
00:07:38.240And, and that's what I like about a lot of the, a lot of people who are, who are using their platforms to do that.
00:07:45.680So I was talking to Tanya the other day, and I know we had her on the show, and we were talking about how we want to make sure that our family's purchases, our family's financials go to the companies, not only that, of course, support the podcast, support the work that we're doing, but also go to support the movement.
00:08:02.060And that we're going to support people that don't hate us.
00:08:05.680We don't want to be giving our money to our enemies anymore.
00:08:08.140It's our own little economic warfare on our own.
00:08:11.440And that's what's so great about Public Square, because when you go to publicsquare.com, it's a list of everything.
00:08:17.340And you can go to the website, you can get the app, et cetera, however you want to access it.
00:08:20.300You can go and search on there for every company that's in this space or for something that you're looking for and say, you know, I need some of this, but I've got to order it.
00:08:29.140I want to make sure that it's, you know, that it's coming.
00:08:33.420We're buying stuff all the time for them.
00:08:35.520Anybody who's out there who's got kids, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
00:08:38.100And also, you don't want to be looking forever.
00:08:41.220Well, what's great with publicsquare.com, it's your one-stop shop.
00:08:44.700And if you have a business yourself, because I know there's a lot of business owners and small businesses that are looking for marketing opportunities that want to get out there, go to publicsquare.com.
00:09:16.100So I'm back here today, one week later, and I'm going to deliver her an ethics complaint that I filed for lying about an American citizen in a committee hearing.
00:10:40.040She, so I saw her and I had gone to her office to deliver an ethics complaint after she lied about me in a committee hearing and she wasn't there.
00:10:50.260And then as I was leaving, she was standing there and I saw her and I was like, oh my God, like this is such a great moment.
