00:00:50.700This morning, President Trump is calling on Republicans to change the rules in the Senate to reopen the government.
00:00:55.780Trump posting overnight, it is now time for the Republicans to play their Trump card and go for what is called the nuclear option.
00:01:03.000Get rid of the filibuster and get rid of it now.
00:01:05.520The move would allow Republicans to pass a bill to fund the government with a simple majority instead of the 60 votes currently needed.
00:01:12.020But Senate Majority Leader John Thune has warned against this move, saying it could come back to bite Republicans whenever Democrats take power back.
00:01:20.780It's going to be hard for me as the president to give a lot of money to New York, because if you have a communist running New York, all you're doing is wasting the money you're sending there.
00:01:32.780So I don't know that he's one, and I'm not a fan of Cuomo one way or the other, but if it's going to be between a bad Democrat and a communist, I'm going to pick the bad Democrat all the time, to be honest with you.
00:01:45.140The frontrunner in the race to lead the nation's largest city, Democrats Zoran Mamdani, cheered on marathon runners in Brooklyn and appeared with the governor at a bar in Queens.
00:01:53.640The 34-year-old self-described Democratic socialist resonates with voters eager for new leadership.
00:01:59.460Mamdani's main rival, independent candidate and former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, pitched his experience.
00:02:05.180Who has solutions that can actually work, and who has the ability to make those solutions a reality?
00:02:17.960Early voting ended Sunday with more than 735,000 ballots cast, far more than during the last race for mayor in 2021.
00:02:25.560And across the river in New Jersey, former President Obama campaigned for the Democratic candidate for governor, Mikey Sherrill, who's locked in a tight race with Republican Jack Cittarelli.
00:02:34.320What Charlie Cook stood for was let's have an open conversation, let's sit down in public, let's hash out our differences, but let's do so with civility, let's do so with honor, and let's do so with respect for one another.
00:02:52.140And they couldn't beat him in a debate, so they tried to silence him with a bullet, but they failed because Charlie Kirk's voice is now louder and stronger than ever before.
00:03:06.480Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
00:20:20.820So swatting attempts have been made and swatting incidents made at polling sites in New York.
00:20:27.820Multiple sites, including Harlem, Greenwich Village, and Midtown East.
00:20:32.940And supposedly this was sent to the Board of Elections, an email that was sent in exactly.
00:20:39.140I'm not entirely sure what is going on.
00:20:41.900It was deemed not credible by the NYPD, similar to how seven polling locations were hit by these bomb threats that were also deemed non-credible.
00:20:48.940And there's also that bomb threat down at Reagan National Airport, which is, of course, by the way, in northern Virginia.
00:20:56.820So you've got these various threats across Virginia, across New York City, and across New Jersey today that are all targeting Election Day voting.
00:21:08.180I want to bring Cliff Maloney back in here, because, Cliff, look, as guys who have—and this is kind of interesting for me, because I've, you know, I focus on elections, but I've also done a lot of work on the impact of political violence.
00:21:20.900And now we're actually—we're starting to see the merger of the two, aren't we?
00:21:26.260Yeah, and I think a lot of people are searching right now to figure out, OK, who's doing this and what is their motivation?
00:21:31.140Regardless, regardless, Jack, what does this tell us?
00:21:35.360This is why we have to bank our votes, right?
00:21:38.340This is why we all have PTSD from Arizona having the ballots that were printed too short or printed too long.
00:21:44.600This is why in Cambria County in 2024 in Pennsylvania they had issues with their machines, two- to three-hour waits.
00:21:51.960This is why we have to take advantage of the current rules, because the Democrats, since they don't vote on one day,
00:21:58.520they don't have to deal with the repercussions of these types of incidents, right?
00:22:03.120You and me are not here to say that we love the system or we love the rules and we're an advocate for them.
00:22:08.040But we should say that we are an advocate to use the system and use the rules to figure out the best way to win.
00:22:15.880So all these threats, where they're coming from, you know, I could make accusations or think through what the intents are, but it just proves the point.
00:22:23.720We're relying on one day of voting still, I mean, really, predominantly for what we're trying to do in these elections.
00:22:30.400We need to start rethinking, getting our low props to vote early, because when stuff like this pops up, there's no recourse, right?
00:22:47.880I'm right here in Maricopa County right now.
00:22:49.540I was here on Election Day in 2022 when that happened, and I remember talking to Charlie about this and then going to Tyler.
00:22:56.500Of course, he was the Maricopa County chairman years back.
00:23:00.880And I said, guys, what is this business about?
00:23:03.060You've got to handwrite your ballot and stick it into door C?
00:23:07.400Like, you know, I'm a Pennsylvania guy.
00:23:09.720I never heard anything about door C when you handwrite your ballot.
00:23:13.400But, I mean, that just – and we remember what happened, it turned a lot of people away from the polling places.
00:23:19.860And we'll never really know whether or not it would have been the margin of victory for Carrie Lake when she was running for governor in a very tight race like that.
00:23:29.740This is what happens, the chicanery, the political trickery that goes in, the dirty tricks that happen when – and this comes up when elections are tight.
00:23:36.780It always comes up when elections are tight.
00:23:38.9202024 wasn't tight, a blowout for Republicans, and that's why you didn't see – remember the pipes breaking in Georgia in 2020, by the way, et cetera.
00:23:49.540But all of this, again, to your point, it's done to suppress Election Day voting.
00:23:55.260And that's why – and we know one party has tried to turn Election Day into this election month, and that's why your organization, incredible organization, the PHAs and the NJHAs, has been created to try to fight back against this.
00:24:10.680Meanwhile, George Soros has been flooding millions into this infrastructure for years.
00:24:14.660Yeah, and I'm actually pretty fascinated to see just how much money, after some of the USAID cuts, you know, that we're going to so many of these left-wing nonprofits, 501c3s, 501c4s.
00:24:29.100Win or lose tonight, I feel like we are at a breaking point that started in 2024 with Republicans learning what it is that they need to do to win.
00:24:38.620And I'm not saying we're going to beat the Democrats when it comes to mail-in ballots anytime soon, but we're competing.
00:24:45.300That's what's making Jack Cittarelli a potential governor.
00:24:48.180It's what's making some of these other House races in Virginia that we're targeting potentials for wins.
00:24:53.300And it's why Pennsylvania will become the red wall leading up to 2028.
00:24:57.900We've learned to play by the rules, to fight fire with fire, to compete against the Democrats using their own tactics, right?
00:25:06.820This is simply taking the Biden 2020 playbook of going out there and chasing ballots, harvesting them where it's legal.
00:25:14.840And so I think we're really hitting a peak moment where now we've got kind of all of the states, even non-swing states, understanding if we fight fire with fire, if we compete with them, we cannot do it just on Election Day.
00:25:28.680We have to look at every form of voting and figure out how to be competitive.
00:25:32.400And we're so close to hitting that threshold.
00:28:00.460He's the senior field representative for Turning Point Action on the ground in Pennsylvania.
00:28:05.600Noah from Micah, if you could just remind me, who is the governor of Pennsylvania who's supposed to be in charge of all of these things on Election Day?
00:28:35.980So Josh Shapiro, Mr., the man who is the face of saying that the 2020 elections were the safest and securest in America.
00:28:44.060Now, all of a sudden, an entire county, huge county, a purple county, Chester County, Pennsylvania, it's the Philadelphia exurbs.
00:28:53.640This is Downingtown, this is West Chester University, is suddenly running out of provisional ballots, which are the ballots that are cast on Election Day.
00:29:03.020When you think there's a question about your status, you cast a provisional ballot.
00:29:39.020That's what I did with the Dodgers after they beat my Phillies.
00:29:41.460But we're not hearing too much on the ground here in Pittsburgh.
00:29:46.600Our GOP is on very high alert, monitoring the situation, making sure that no funny business happens at all down here.
00:29:53.840So, Allegheny County is looking great.
00:29:56.120Mostly what we're hearing is, like you said, Chester County, that complete disaster, what's going on there.
00:30:00.580And as far as I'm concerned, it's just affecting a lot of voters today.
00:30:04.080And who knows, a lot of people are saying the vote no race, the vote for Maria Batista, Mount Wolford, all the Supreme Court races are going to be super close.
00:30:13.940So, you know, it's completely disaffecting our Republicans.
00:30:28.060And any Republican, if you're hearing any situation at your polling location, don't hesitate to call your board of elections for your county.
00:30:36.020And also, I'm encouraging you guys to stay in line.
00:30:39.000Just like we were saying last cycle, stay in line.
00:30:41.700Because it's only going to get crazy from here on to the rest of the day.
00:30:45.900No, if there's anything else, and I'm just going to say this, you know, you don't want to be filming inside the polling location.
00:30:53.280But if something happens outside the polling location, if you're getting turned away by a judge of elections or someone like that, someone in official capacity or an unofficial capacity, film it.
00:31:03.340Make sure you get this on film because we need people to stay in line.
00:31:07.100And by the way, if they're telling you that they don't have a provisional ballot, you need to stay in line anyway.
00:31:13.880Make sure you stay in line until someone shows up.
00:31:16.920If they have to run to the printers and go get a provisional ballot for you, then they can because they're the government.
00:31:34.780We learned this in Maricopa County three years ago today.
00:31:38.260We learned this in Maricopa County when all of a sudden the machines went down and they had the printers and they had the all the Dorsey and the rest.
00:32:33.900And a lot of people are starting to see like, hey, you know, the Democrat policies that are in charge of our state that have been in charge of our state for quite a long time.
00:33:38.220I'm also seeing out of out of this is election 2025 updates has this account app and they've got a tweet that's coming in right now that says New Jersey seeing Republican surge in Ocean County to Ocean County.
00:33:50.960No, that's where you and I were on Sunday.
00:33:53.420This is a huge Republican stronghold is the Republican stronghold of New Jersey as a state.
00:33:59.300They're seeing a surge in Republican voters right now in terms of their noon update.
00:34:05.160Thirty six thousand five hundred twenty seven voters.
00:34:07.700That's fifty four percent that compared to twenty twenty four on Election Day.
00:34:12.800That's up nine points for Republicans compared to where they at.
00:34:17.940So at fifty four percent, nine points ahead of where they were before.
00:34:21.260Seventy six thousand is the number Republicans need to beat.
00:34:24.580So they're they're just under halfway there to getting towards that number.
00:34:30.120And if they're able to do so, this actually is a huge boon for Jack Cittarelli.
00:34:35.340And again, this is not supposed to be a competitive race.
00:35:27.860Now we have people in New Hampshire as well with Davis and Lisa.
00:35:31.860So, I mean, shout out to the entire Northeast team.
00:35:34.800But Charlie was dead set on making sure that we expand our foothold within the Northeast, especially with what happened to Election Day, because he saw the signs.
00:35:44.340The Northeast is trending overwhelmingly Republican.
00:35:48.340Pennsylvania is becoming a red state faster than the Democrats can even try to register voters.
00:35:53.900And look at what's happening in Jersey.
00:35:56.900What we saw last election, you would have never thought – my family even said that.
00:36:01.520They live in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
00:36:03.760And they even said never in a million years would we have thought that we would see Trump almost win the state of New Jersey.
00:36:10.340Now we are on the verge of what I call a red resurgence within the state of New Jersey right now.
00:36:16.740And like you said, we were in Ocean County chasing as many ballots, talking to as many voters as we can.
00:36:23.560And one of our deployments at Tom's River, we had 260 people there ready to chase as many ballots with us as possible.
00:36:32.880So our team on the ground is talking to as many Republicans, and we're talking to as many people also by our phones.
00:36:41.840We're texting people, making phone calls to these people day in and day out until the polls close, just so we can bring it across the line for Jack Tudorale.
00:38:57.940We're going to have the entire family there, the entire gang there from last year, which everyone remembers, obviously, with the exception of one man whose seat will always remain empty directly next to us because he's on assignment with God.
00:39:13.960And I want to bring in now Paula Scanlon.
00:39:17.060She's been on the ground fighting in New Jersey, a little bit in New York as well.
00:40:00.680And I'm just so proud of our team, no matter what happens.
00:40:03.940Well, Paula, and just in case people don't realize this, that you actually, I mentioned the RNC just now a minute ago,
00:40:09.680from Minnesota, or excuse me, from Milwaukee last year.
00:40:13.960And you actually, I remember you and Riley Gaines stopped by when Charlie and I had that sort of outdoor studio stage kind of set up right outside the RNC.
00:40:27.340Obviously, we had no idea that was going to be his last ever RNC.
00:40:32.180That was just days after President Trump had his assassination attempt a few days before.
00:40:39.100But, you know, having been there, having come out to Turning Point events, talk to me a little bit about Charlie Kirk's legacy as pertains to getting out and becoming active and motivated on Election Day and for elections.
00:40:57.420I mean, Charlie spent so much of his time at the RNC at these things.
00:41:00.860Obviously, Turning Point as an organization is wonderful.
00:41:03.620But something he really emphasized was getting out the vote and really being there for the young voters especially.
00:41:08.520He had been involved with the RNC from his very beginning.
00:41:11.380I think that that was one of the first things he started coming up and doing.
00:41:14.520He started, you know, befriending people who were high up.
00:41:17.680And everyone loved him and everyone wanted his help.
00:41:20.600And even President Trump himself, I mean, knew Charlie personally, could speak to his influence, could speak to how important Charlie was as a person, not just a political figure who had followers, but as a person who could shape policy, who could shape voters and really wanted people to get out and vote.
00:41:36.520And obviously, I can't speak for Charlie personally, but what I do know is that the values that he fought so hard for are represented by many candidates who are on the ballot today, today on Election Day.
00:41:47.780And that's why I think to honor his legacy, I think what we need to do is we need to get out and vote for those people.
00:41:52.900And we need to get everyone in our communities to do the same as well.
00:41:55.700And I think that's really the best way I know to honor him today on Election Day.
00:41:59.200And I hope other people agree with me and see that as well.
00:42:04.980And I think just, again, as someone who's been through I don't know how many Election Days with Charlie and various rallies, this was his favorite day of the year.
00:42:13.600It really was, you know, outside of like, you know, holidays and stuff.
00:42:18.540And Charlie and I, people were joking the other day, we used to go back and forth because, like, I love Halloween and he's like a – he's a noted Halloween hater.
00:42:27.080And, you know, we would always go back and forth about it on Halloween.
00:42:30.660But Election Day was just like – that was the day that everyone was in lockstep.
00:42:35.440And you could tell Charlie would get so excited for these.
00:42:38.120It was always his favorite live stream in the evening.
00:42:40.960And so, you know, I think if we do want to honor Charlie's legacy, the best way to do that is by getting active, participating, get out the vote drives, and focusing on these elections in key races.
00:42:52.780And people have said, you know, Jack, you know, why are you – why do you care about New Jersey so much?
00:42:56.700And it's like I care about winning so much.
00:44:37.760But he would want you to be active in your local area.
00:44:41.140If you're at a high school, start a Club America.
00:44:44.460If you're at a college, start a Turning Point USA.
00:44:46.760Go and look what the young students over at Rutgers University in North Jersey, the way that they were able to take in the wake of Charlie's murder, all of this, their Antifa professor, the way that they've stood strong, even after being placed under investigation for calling him out and spotlighting his violence at a time where that's a key university, a public university in a place like New Jersey, where we are seeing this.
00:45:12.980And it's it's something that I really think that Charlie would be looking down right now and saying, God bless.
00:45:18.800God bless the people for coming out and doing what they are doing.
00:45:23.720Do we have do we have Paula Scanlon back from early vote action?
00:46:26.900And again, I think that what what we've done so wonderfully, especially in places like New Jersey and Pennsylvania, is how well we've all worked together.
00:46:34.060I think really, truly the coordinators I've seen there across different counties.
00:46:38.520There are people from different walks of life that we've hired.
00:46:41.180I mean, we have really young kids who are college students that are working for us at early vote action.
00:46:45.540And we have people who are, you know, grandparents and want to save their grandchildren.
00:46:50.580And just seeing everyone come together means so much.
00:46:53.100So it doesn't matter where you are in your life.
00:46:54.700It doesn't matter what your career is.
