00:08:37.000 Well, let's talk a little bit about that, because I know that some of your cases are now also winding their way through.

00:08:42.660 You've got some others, and then one that's going up to the Supreme Court.

00:08:45.740 Give us the lay of the land.

00:08:47.920 Yeah, look, President Biden and Kamala Harris have attempted to illegally, unconstitutionally buy votes in an upcoming election by trying to cancel student loan debt after the Supreme Court previously rebuked the administration for its unlawful behavior.

00:09:01.800 The Constitution gives the Congress the power of the purse, not the president.

00:09:05.860 And what the Supreme Court said in the first student loan case was that if Congress intends for the president to have that massive authority over the U.S. economy

00:09:13.600 and to be able to redistribute a half trillion dollars in debt that is owed, then Congress has to speak explicitly.

00:09:19.600 Well, Congress has passed no such bill.

00:09:21.500 In fact, Congress has twice rejected such bills, once in 2019 and again in 2021.

00:09:26.060 And yet, despite that rebuke, despite the lack of legal authority, Biden and Harris rolled out another attempt to buy votes.

00:09:33.640 We filed suit, got an injunction, and the injunction was upheld at the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

00:09:38.260 So the Department of Justice has filed a petition with the United States Supreme Court seeking to overturn that injunction and be allowed to, again, redistribute a half trillion dollars in debt.

00:09:47.660 And I'm not going to let Joe Biden or Kamala Harris saddle working Missouri families with Ivy League debt.

00:09:54.320 And that's what it comes down to, because remember, we talked about before, this is something of tangible value to secure a vote.

00:10:01.700 How is that not illegal electioneering?

00:10:05.320 Yeah, that's exactly right.

00:10:06.480 And I think the Supreme Court is picking up on that.

00:10:08.760 I think that this case ends up at the high court.

00:10:10.540 I think the high court is going to be upset with the president for, again, undermining the authority of a co-equal branch of government.

00:10:16.880 You know, if anyone else, if a Republican did this, if a Republican willfully defied case precedent from the United States Supreme Court, they would be pilloried by the mainstream media.

00:10:25.480 And yet here, the media coddles Biden and Harris and coddles their attempt to unlawfully take your money to pay off other people's debt.

00:10:33.780 And it's absolutely illegal.

00:10:35.440 The Supreme Court's already said that.

00:10:36.860 Shame on Biden and Harris for willfully defying a co-equal branch of government, undermining our constitutional structure.

00:11:09.240 It's about actually just following the rules that are on the books.

00:11:20.520 The Constitution exists to protect us from the government and the government exists to protect our rights.

00:11:24.920 And yet time and time again, under this lawless regime of Biden and Harris, they have weaponized government to buy off votes, to silence political opponents and to commit lawfare against President Trump, who's a chosen presidential candidate by so many different states.

00:11:40.120 And so these are all poisonous to our democratic process.

00:11:44.620 Now, talk to me as well about another case you've got coming up that's actually going to the Supreme Court.

00:11:49.640 Yeah, well, we've also filed suit to stop Biden and Harris from attempting to pay for illegal aliens' health care using your tax dollars.

00:11:59.160 We know in the state of Missouri, there's upwards of 104,000 illegal aliens that have come in under the Biden-Harris regime.

00:12:06.680 Again, you know, Kamala Harris was the border czar. 1.00

00:12:09.380 This Biden invasion is her fault.

00:12:11.340 And so these folks are now residing in the state of Missouri.

00:12:13.460 Every state's a border state.

00:12:14.880 And they're trying to pervert the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, to take your tax dollars, dollars you paid into the system, and take that money and use it to pay for illegal immigrants' health care. 0.91

00:12:27.280 So it's not only that they've undermined our law and our national sovereignty by allowing these people into our country. 1.00

00:12:35.660 The Affordable Care Act, the plain text of the law, says that it's only available for citizens and those lawfully present.

00:12:42.940 Well, the president then doesn't get to rewrite the word lawfully present to mean whatever he wants.

00:12:48.000 Congress makes law, not the president of the United States.

00:12:50.740 So we have filed suit and intend to fight this all the way to the highest court if we have.

00:12:56.980 Again, you know, I just keep looking at some of the other states, and I say, as much as I love what you're doing, it always reminds me of the fact that we should have every red state operating like this, all of the other fighting attorneys general out there.

00:13:10.500 So let me look at it this way.

00:13:12.360 Have you been reached out to by any other attorneys general or any other AGs to say, look, you know, we love what you're doing.

00:13:19.680 We want to get into the fight because this is something that people need to understand.

00:13:22.900 Courage is contagious.

00:13:25.120 Action begets action.

00:13:27.020 When one man becomes the first mover, becomes the first one to take action, to take that step forward, others will follow because this is how you generate momentum.

00:13:37.120 Sitting around talking, sit around complaining, it's interesting, and people will go into the nuances of various many things.

00:13:45.380 But at the end of the day, it is not enough to generate a mass movement because you must take action and be forward-focused.

00:13:52.800 And I believe we talked about it before.

00:13:58.540 And, you know, I'm proud to partner with so many like-minded state attorneys general and to be the tip of the spear on so many of these different issues.

00:14:08.760 He took the Republican Party in places that it never would have gone on its own.

00:14:12.220 And it's incumbent upon us in this time to restore and continue to push that movement forward with him at the helm.

00:15:14.440 The idea is when you are conducting things, and it's exact reciprocity, but when you are conducting operations outside of the law, when you are conducting yourself outside of the law and in government, if there is no check, you're going to do more of it.

00:15:35.640 And by the way, you mentioned the Constitution before when you were talking about the branches.

00:15:39.220 Explain to us why is it that a state can go and sue the federal government like this?

00:15:45.580 Well, the federal government is intended to be a government of limited authority, and that authority is diffused over three branches of government.

00:15:52.840 But the problem is the executive branch has built up this administrative state.

00:15:57.000 That's the D.C. swamp at its worst.

00:15:58.920 It's the alphabet soup of agencies from the EPA to the Department of Education, the Department of Labor.

00:16:03.320 It's all of these agencies that have rulemaking authority, and it's not the will of the people's elected representatives.

00:16:09.400 But at the end of the day, the federal government is a government of limited authority, and there's a 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution that says any power not given to the federal government or denied to the states is enjoyed by the states and the people of the states.

00:16:21.140 Government is most responsive at the local level.

00:16:23.240 And so having that residual authority of the states empowers red state attorneys general to fight back against federal overreach and to try to eliminate that unelected fourth branch of government that our founders would have seen as despotism. 0.55
