00:00:40.600 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition, Human Events Daily. Last night,

00:00:45.180 there was a fatal mass murder at a Wisconsin Christmas parade. We'll discuss this.

00:00:51.380 Second, protests and looting in multiple cities after the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict.

00:00:56.680 Third, Hunter Biden's firm has helped the CCP purchase a cobalt mine in Africa. And fourth,

00:01:03.700 the Ghislaine Maxwell trial for sex trafficking will begin next week. All this and more ahead,

00:01:08.640 Human Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA.

00:01:10.480 A mass murder just took place at a Christmas parade in America's heartland, the Midwest,

00:01:28.020 Waukesha, Wisconsin. On these videos that came out that are absolutely horrific,

00:01:33.540 you can see a driver of a red SUV plowing through the parade. We're told that children as well as

00:01:45.500 members of a group called the Dancing Grannies were killed in this event and many injured. It's

00:01:52.900 actually so bad that we don't even know at the time of this recording how many casualties there have

00:01:58.840 been. This was an act of mass murder. The suspect in the case is named Daryl E. Brooks. He has an

00:02:07.820 extensive rap sheet. In fact, not only does he have an extensive rap sheet, he is currently awaiting

00:02:14.300 trial on other violent charges. But the issue is he's out on bond. What does that mean? Have you heard

00:02:23.120 of bail reform? They've been talking about bail reform, and this has been something that's been

00:02:27.760 sweeping our country for about five years now. Politicians of both parties have become soft on

00:02:34.020 crime. They ended three strikes. They ended bail for violent criminals. And so this is the situation

00:02:42.340 we get. Most of the videos are so horrific that, frankly, we can't even play them. Go on social media,

00:02:49.040 you can see them if you so choose. We'll show you one quick one that is a little bit more PG-13 for now.

00:03:19.040 Violent criminals should not be left on the street, period. This is a guy who had a rap sheet a mile

00:03:28.580 long, multiple states. But there is a DA in Milwaukee, where this guy is from, who has been linked to a

00:03:37.800 certain Hungarian billionaire that I think you all know, the same way that many other of these criminal 1.00

00:03:43.460 justice reform DAs around the country are. I've talked about this at length. Get out of cities. But now the

00:03:52.500 violence from the cities is spilling out into the suburbs. I understand, and I was looking at the stories

00:03:57.960 for today. A lot of these stories are downers. But here's the thing, folks. You have to face these structural

00:04:06.840 problems in our society head on. You have to face them with clarity, and you have to face them with open eyes.

00:04:14.360 We've tried the bleeding heart path on crime. Both parties, I just said it a minute ago, have gotten

00:04:22.560 completely soft on crime. They think it's woke, right? You see these conservatives say, oh, it's woke

00:04:28.700 to say, I don't support three strikes, or I support bail reform, I support this, I support that. I've

00:04:34.660 talked before about how Kim Kardashian and the Innocence Fraud Project has been helping violent

00:04:41.840 criminals and murderers get off. They just had this one down in Oklahoma where a murderer just had a

00:04:47.900 sentence commuted because Kim Kardashian and others came in on his behalf. Understanding where the

00:04:54.380 problems are in our society, viewing them head on, and having a firm reliance on the values that made us

00:05:02.380 who we are, relying on God, and relying on our faith is how we take a look at this broken country that we have

00:05:10.600 and decide that it's time to move forward. Ladies and gentlemen, and we're going to talk about this throughout

00:05:17.120 the day as we go through the stories today, this is what rock bottom looks like. When as a society,

00:05:26.460 you've completely crumbled, you've got to the point now where there are innocent children

00:05:32.840 at a Christmas parade, lying in the street, medevac to the hospital, we don't know if they're going to

00:05:40.500 live. When are you going to wake up? When is enough enough? When you hit a rock bottom moment,

00:05:52.180 the purpose of that is to slap you in the face with reality and tell you it's too much. We need to

00:06:01.040 change. We need to realize that we live in a real world that has real consequences, and even if you had

00:06:07.760 the best of intentions for going soft on crime and soft on criminals, that doesn't change human nature,

00:06:15.620 that doesn't change criminal behavior, and that your intentions aren't going to do anything for the

00:06:22.080 people that are lying dead in Waukesha tonight. Think about their families. If you want to be pro-life,

00:06:29.960 you need to be hard on murderers and crime.

00:06:38.300 Well, they wanted to talk about Kyle Rittenhouse crossing state lines, but over this weekend,

00:06:42.420 there was something else that crossed state lines. Crime, right? You had a massive crime wave over the

00:06:48.840 weekend. Looting, attacks on stores, and as well as protests in other cities. Not criminal, but you did have

00:06:56.140 protests in other cities calling for crime, like in New York City, in the wake of the Kyle Rittenhouse

00:07:02.480 not guilty verdict. In the wake of his acquittal, after we had all seen on video that he was clearly

00:07:08.340 acting in self-defense. And the 12 members of that jury came out and had that specific response to it.

00:07:16.200 So we're going to go in and watch a montage of these videos. But I want to talk about specifically the one

00:07:21.800 that took place in San Francisco, because this is insane. 80 looters in ski masks ransacked a Bay Area

00:07:30.940 Nordstrom, and this is the Daily Mail headline, and filled 25 cars with designer goods in a one-minute

00:07:38.240 raid. You think that's spontaneous, folks? No, that's called a gang. You know, we used to have this thing in

00:07:44.020 this country called police forces and crime task forces that would, you know, do something about

00:07:50.280 this. But in these cities, like Milwaukee, like San Francisco, so many others, you've got these DAs

00:07:57.220 that run on these woke criminal justice and bail reform issues. Oh, we're not going to lock up

00:08:03.260 someone if they do this. And oh, you know, we're just going to be helpful. We're going to be bleeding

00:08:07.100 hard. Chesa Boudin, this guy out in Milwaukee, Krasner in Philadelphia, so many others. So crime

00:08:14.900 becomes legal. They let it happen. They're not going to go after it. So go and take a look at

00:08:21.240 this montage of what's going on in cities this past weekend.

00:08:28.240 every, every city, every town. Every city, every town. Burn the precinct to the ground. Every city, every town. Burn the precincts to the ground.

00:08:42.080 No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no legislation. No, no, no, no dinner. No, no, no, no. Shut it down. 0.74

00:08:52.940 because they understand how powerful people are when they come together to tear down capitalism

00:09:16.300 because that is what we are here for to tear down capitalism

00:09:22.940 and it has dissentered the gathering has been declared a riot all persons

00:09:31.660 caught in 4k oh it's caught in 4k

00:09:36.220 he's got two masks

00:09:38.940 same plane

00:09:50.700 same plane

00:09:55.340 yup

00:09:57.100 look what you get

00:09:57.740 just make sure they don't

00:10:00.700 come on dude

00:10:05.820 was that worth it

00:10:08.620 was that worth it

00:10:09.420 man

00:10:16.860 but it could be here

00:10:18.140 look

00:10:19.820 plot

00:10:19.900 look

00:10:20.140 look

00:10:21.180 that

00:10:21.580 it's

00:10:22.140 dark 0.99

00:10:23.020 damn 0.99

00:10:23.580 small 0.99

00:10:24.060 i'll do

00:10:25.580 build of

00:10:26.460 have

00:10:27.500 have

00:10:29.940 got

00:10:30.860 got

00:10:33.980 got

00:10:35.900 got

00:10:36.620 got

00:10:37.900 got

00:10:38.860 So there's a phrase for this, right?

00:10:43.940 There's a phrase that people have been using to describe the kind of society that we have now.

00:10:47.920 It's called anarcho-tyranny.

00:10:49.660 Anarcho-tyranny, right?

00:10:50.620 It seems like two separate things.

00:10:52.000 How could you have anarchy and tyranny?

00:10:54.820 Aren't they the opposite things, right?

00:10:56.400 Isn't anarchy the absence of law and tyranny is totalitarian?

00:10:59.820 So how do you have both, right?

00:11:00.860 Well, it's simple, right?

00:11:02.060 Because we live in a society now where you could be thrown off a plane

00:11:06.400 if your toddler doesn't wear a mask or if his mask falls, you know, below the nose

00:11:11.960 or, you know, you're not putting it back in between bites.

00:11:14.720 You can be thrown off a plane.

00:11:16.640 You could be rejected from going into certain restaurants.

00:11:19.640 You can't even sit down in places like, by the way, San Francisco, where I just was.

00:11:23.900 You couldn't even sit down inside a restaurant unless you had a vaccine for the COVID-19 vaccine.

00:11:30.700 It's never happened to anyone before, but they said,

00:11:33.220 we need to check your medical status before you're allowed to eat in our restaurant.

00:11:35.940 Oh, no, you guys have to sit outside.

00:11:38.440 But then the anarchy part comes in because then that same restaurant,

00:11:42.480 and we went to the Chinatown in San Francisco because I wanted to practice my Mandarin.

00:11:46.960 Tanya speaks Mandarin.

00:11:47.760 We wanted to practice.

00:11:48.920 All of Chinatown in San Francisco was shut down at 7 p.m.

00:11:52.720 So first you have to have a vax to sit down, but then they shut down at 7 p.m.

00:11:56.320 because the crime, because nothing is going on about it.

00:11:59.420 So they're shut down, bars over all the windows, bars over all the doors.

00:12:02.700 This is what anarcho-tyranny means.

00:12:06.160 You have the tyranny of prosecuting you and going after you and cracking down on, you know, COVID-19 and the medical tyranny,

00:12:15.700 but the anarchy of we're going to allow violent criminals to do whatever they want to get away with it, to not charge them.

00:12:24.620 And then even if they are arrested, like we saw in this one video, they're put right back out on the streets.

00:12:30.420 Ladies and gentlemen, this is what rock bottom looks like. 0.97

00:12:34.380 So as rock bottom continues, because that's where you're at, America, and I want you to embrace it, embrace the suck. 0.98

00:12:45.080 This is rock bottom America. 0.99

00:12:46.960 As our cities are being looted by petty criminals, as mass murderers are going and attacking Christmas parades in Wisconsin,

00:12:57.120 you've also got our political leaders and their families looting our country from Daily Mail.

00:13:02.920 Hunter Biden's private equity firm helped Chinese conglomerate buy American-owned cobalt mine, that's a rare earth mineral, in $3.8 billion deal.

00:13:13.600 The purchase helps the Chinese company gain the world's largest deposit of precious metal used to make batteries for electric vehicles.

00:13:20.880 So you know all those vehicles, the electric vehicles, Tesla, Elon Musk, everything the government is pushing for, these electric cars,

00:13:27.760 where do you think the batteries come from for all that stuff?

00:13:30.580 It's cobalt.

00:13:31.920 And China understands this.

00:13:33.360 The CCP understands this.

00:13:34.840 They know that if you want to make those things, if that's the market that's being artificially created in Western countries,

00:13:41.160 then the way to get in on that is to purchase up all the precursor rare earth minerals, rare earth elements,

00:13:47.620 that are used in the construction of these electric cars.

00:13:50.880 So what do they do?

00:13:51.960 They get the President of the United States' son to help them fund a deal to get those elements. 1.00

00:13:57.520 We have such a stupid, our leader, I would say that our leaders are stupid, 1.00

00:14:02.040 but in some cases, you have to question yourself and you say, 1.00

00:14:05.340 are they stupid or do they know exactly what they're doing? 1.00

00:14:09.940 They're letting our country fall apart while they loot the country from the top down. 1.00

00:14:16.900 They're looting it.

00:14:17.900 They are stripping the copper wire, right, from the walls of the United States of America,

00:14:22.500 and they're going to leave the American people with nothing.

00:14:25.860 They want you to be serfs. 0.58

00:14:27.300 They want you not even to be able to defend yourself when the mob comes to your town and starts burning down businesses.

00:14:33.380 Go listen to Hunter Biden, because remember, a year ago, we had the tape, we had the laptop, we had everything on this guy,

00:14:42.120 and we put it out publicly for the American people, and they told you not to listen to it.

00:14:46.760 Listen to what Hunter Biden said in his own words about working with the spy chief of China.

00:14:52.560 I get calls from my father to tell me that the New York Times is calling,

00:14:58.120 but my old partner, Eric, who literally has done me harm for I don't know how long,

00:15:02.680 is the one taking the calls because my father will not stop sending the calls to Eric.

00:15:08.340 I have another New York Times reporter calling about my representation of the, literally, 0.92

00:15:14.420 Dr. Patrick Coe, the f***ing spy chief of China,

00:15:22.220 who started the company that my partner, who was worth $323 billion, founded, 0.97

00:15:30.260 and is now missing.

00:15:33.340 The richest man in the world is missing, who was my partner.

00:15:37.760 He was missing since I last saw him in his $58 million apartment

00:15:41.980 and signed a $4 billion deal to build the f***ing largest f***ing LNG port in the world.

00:15:51.200 And I am receiving calls from the Southern District of New York, 0.61

00:15:56.680 from the U.S. attorney himself.

00:15:58.440 My best friend in business, Devin, has named me as a witness without telling me

00:16:03.880 in a criminal case and my father.

00:16:08.980 So you get it, folks, right?

00:16:10.260 This is a payoff.

00:16:13.380 Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

00:16:16.040 They rob the American people. 0.70

00:16:18.180 First, they tell you that you have to use electric cars and everything's got to be switched over.

00:16:22.400 And then state governors come in and say,

00:16:24.980 you know, X amount of cars need to be switched over by this state.

00:16:27.480 They're already doing that in California, by the way.

00:16:29.640 And then they come in and say, okay, you have to build the cars this way.

00:16:32.900 What's the way to build them as cobalt?

00:16:34.300 So then the CCP understands that and they say, okay, we go to Africa.

00:16:38.460 We use debt trap diplomacy to take over their country effectively.

00:16:42.220 And then we use the financing from the son of the American president's firm to come in,

00:16:50.540 buy the cobalt mine, fund the American projects for these electric cars. 1.00

00:16:56.280 And stupid, rich liberals are the ones consuming all of this. 1.00

00:17:05.160 You're at rock bottom, America. 1.00

00:17:07.400 You're at absolute rock bottom.

00:17:10.640 And I wish I could say, I wish I could say that things were about to get better.

00:17:16.460 But I don't think so.

00:17:17.440 I don't think we're quite there yet because I don't know if enough people see it.

00:17:20.560 So you're going to be here for a little bit longer. 0.99

00:17:22.860 So continue, continue to embrace the suck. 1.00

00:17:31.400 Jeffrey Epstein. 0.99

00:17:32.720 What happened to that guy?

00:17:34.520 He went to prison.

00:17:35.640 He was charged.

00:17:36.780 He died.

00:17:37.480 And then the whole story just seemed to kind of go away.

00:17:41.100 Nobody talked about who Jeffrey, and we know what Jeffrey Epstein was into.

00:17:44.900 It was sex trafficking and it was underage sex trafficking.

00:17:49.740 We know about the island, Lolita Express, the airplane that he used to funnel people down

00:17:54.160 there, Little St. James on Epstein Island.

00:17:56.600 But the real question was, the biggest question on everyone's mind, who were his clients?

00:18:04.160 Who was on the Epstein client list?

00:18:06.280 Who was in the Epstein black book?

00:18:08.760 This is incredibly important to us because we can see, we can see Epstein's ties to so

00:18:15.560 many rich, powerful, influential American and Western leaders.

00:18:20.220 And we asked the question, how was it that this guy was able to gain so much access to

00:18:25.780 all of this?

00:18:26.860 Well, he's gone.

00:18:27.580 And we can't question him about it.

00:18:30.100 But his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, she's still around.

00:18:33.880 And she's going on trial.

00:18:35.480 It starts next week.

00:18:37.440 Here's a clip from MSNBC, because I told you before, I love MSNBC.

00:18:42.040 Tom, what kind of evidence are we expecting to see during this trial?

00:18:45.160 Because I'm focused.

00:18:46.360 Of course, Tiffany.

00:18:49.620 So obviously, we're going to hear a testimony from the victims, the four underage victims

00:18:53.260 that have been mentioned in this indictment.

00:18:55.540 We're going to get travel records because one of the charges, a couple of the charges have

00:18:58.820 to refer to enticing these minors to cross state lines for the purposes of sex.

00:19:04.440 We also expect to see a video from Jeffrey Epstein's residence.

00:19:08.200 We're actually going to go inside his house when local law enforcement searched it in the

00:19:12.220 mid-2000s.

00:19:13.560 And then there's this.

00:19:14.640 It's the infamous Jeffrey Epstein black book.

00:19:17.820 Federal prosecutors are trying to get this black book into evidence.

00:19:22.540 They say that they will have a way of authenticating it.

00:19:25.760 The defense doesn't want it in there, but they say we'll help them prove these charges against

00:19:30.100 Maxwell.

00:19:30.680 So those are just some of the things that we expect prosecutors to show at this trial to

00:19:35.320 be able to try and convict Ghislaine Maxwell.

00:19:38.840 NPR actually has a fairly decent write-up of this.

00:19:41.140 Jury selection in the federal sex trafficking trial for Ghislaine Maxwell got underway Tuesday

00:19:45.240 in a Manhattan courtroom.

00:19:47.300 Judge Allison Nathan questioned potential jurors about the case, looking to winnow down a jury

00:19:52.040 pool of hundreds of people into a panel that will hear charges that Maxwell helped Jeffrey

00:19:56.220 Epstein sexually abuse minors as young as 14.

00:19:59.840 Maxwell, 59, is pled not guilty.

00:20:01.960 She's accused of luring minors and young women into Epstein's orbit from the 1990s into the

00:20:07.440 early 2000s, grooming them for sexual abuse and sometimes participating in sexual encounters

00:20:12.940 himself, herself.

00:20:14.520 Jury selection is expected to be a lengthy process.

00:20:16.740 There are sketches on this.

00:20:17.900 But one of the most intriguing elements of the trial is the role to be played by what prosecutors

00:20:22.360 say is Maxwell's Book of Contacts, an item that has long fascinated watchers of the case.

00:20:27.960 Epstein and Maxwell moved among the world's wealthy elite, and they were accused of arranging

00:20:32.420 sexual massages and other encounters that paired girls and young women with older men.

00:20:38.720 The questions about this black book, which was acquired by the FBI all the way back in 2009,

00:20:45.980 the FBI has had this thing since 2009.

00:20:50.220 They took it from his Palm Beach residence.

00:20:52.440 They took it, actually it was a butler that turned it over.

00:20:54.440 They were trying to blow this whistle on this guy a decade prior, and yet he was allowed

00:21:02.680 to continue for years and years until charges were finally brought.
