00:01:01.520 ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard today's edition of human events daily powered by turning point usa

00:01:08.920 here at turning point usa sass today is the first day of our coverage that we will be coming to you

00:01:16.620 live from the tampa convention center baby right here in tampa florida the heart of freedom the

00:01:23.100 center of the conservative galaxy but the news goes on today is 21 july 2022 ano domini today's top

00:01:32.260 headlines finally justice for david dorn jury has convicted the criminal of murdering retired st louis

00:01:40.720 police captain david dorn during the 2020 riots we're going to talk about all of that next

00:01:45.560 secretary mayorkas claims the southern border is secure but there was a little incident that

00:01:51.160 happened to me yesterday on the war room that might consider otherwise third the feds apparently

00:01:56.920 are eyeing believe it or not criminal charges for hunter biden we'll break that down and then finally

00:02:02.620 the latest we've got some rulings between twitter and elon musk their lawsuit going forward over the

00:02:08.720 44 billion dollar deal coming up this october all this in more head human events daily

00:02:13.140 as i slept looters were ransacking the shop they shot and killed david in cold blood

00:02:29.720 and then live streamed his execution and his last moments on earth

00:02:35.640 david's grandson was watching the video on facebook in real time not realizing he was watching his own

00:02:45.180 grandfather dying on the sidewalk i relive that horror in my mind every single day

00:02:52.940 my hope is that having you relive it with me now will help shake this country from this nightmare we're

00:03:02.780 witnessing in our cities and bring about positive peaceful change so yesterday in city of st louis

00:03:11.020 a jury found an individual stephen cannon guilty of the first degree murder of retired st louis police

00:03:18.900 captain david dorn and for those who don't remember the david dorn story this is a man who

00:03:25.680 had been retired but was working security at a pawn shop a jewelry store somebody had known for a long

00:03:33.500 time it was actually the same jewelry store where he had bought the engagement ring for his wife

00:03:40.220 and dorn now he knew the riots were going on that night he knew that there had been violence and crime

00:03:47.380 spreading throughout the city this was in the most heated minute pinnacle of the george floyd riots of

00:03:54.520 2020 and he knew what he was getting into when he went out there but he did go out there when he got

00:04:00.480 the call because he wanted to defend that store because he wanted to protect the items in there

00:04:05.840 because he knew that this was his friend's livelihood and more to the point he considered it his duty to be

00:04:12.300 out there now i do have a somewhat personal connection to all of this because in the aftermath

00:04:19.760 of this what i did in 2020 was i established a and we used fundly at the time because you know go go

00:04:28.440 fund me can't trust those guys we did establish a a fund for the family of david dorn and we raised

00:04:36.220 about 400 000 just myself and then other people through social media got in touch with the family

00:04:44.560 got in touch with ann she authorized it she saw how much we were coming into right at first you know

00:04:50.200 who are you this you know conservative internet guy why do you want to help out and i said

00:04:56.640 because your family is the type of family that i think we need to help out because we do need police

00:05:03.780 families and people don't know and dorn at the time was also a serving police officer

00:05:10.160 in the city of st louis and she's someone who's become completely outspoken for police families

00:05:17.260 since the incident that tragically took the life of her husband and so we've got this count out now

00:05:24.740 first degree murder possession of a firearm bevy of other charges that was all the way back all the way

00:05:29.820 back june 2nd 2020 and his murder and the footage of him dying on the street was actually captured

00:05:39.060 on facebook live and it went viral online and people could actually see that those wrote riots

00:05:45.720 and we were told for so long that it was mostly peaceful protests that oh you know maybe it's just

00:05:52.320 some broken windows just some damage to businesses just property damage we're told again and again just

00:05:56.380 property damage just property damage what do you do with a situation like this captain david dorn

00:06:02.720 and if we're going to talk about people whose lives matter and yeah we've always said that in this

00:06:09.300 movement that we believe that every human life matters that's what it means to be pro-life but when you

00:06:16.660 have situations like this you can't put one life over the lives of others and so all i can say is

00:06:25.200 i hope that this provides some closure some solace to the family to ann to the children who understand

00:06:34.520 that these situations though are going to continue and could also again be exacerbated in places like

00:06:43.120 st louis and other cities where the homicide rates are spiraling out of control we don't have to live in

00:06:49.040 a country like this we can go back to being a serious country but we have to make the decision and we have

00:06:56.040 to make the choice to be the country that we want it to be

00:07:00.040 americans are completely concerned with their country right now we're facing an avalanche of 1.00

00:07:55.840 10 000 or more migrants the new caravan coming down and we're seeing and i'm just looking at this

00:08:02.240 video that it doesn't appear that mexico has put any any serious force up there's there's a a fence

00:08:08.300 there's a few soldiers but i can see people climbing over the fence right behind you right

00:08:12.620 and so this is if that crowd begins to start to get unruly if they start to get answers they don't like

00:08:17.900 if they're if they become having food issues what's going on what's going on right behind you

00:08:22.380 they're pushing right now this is a confrontation they're pushing they're coming over the fence

00:08:26.280 they're pushing they're coming over the fence this is the conversation that it was about to happen

00:08:29.740 as you see right here behind me the migrants are desperate and they already pushed the barricade

00:08:34.920 they're pushed they're through they're through the barricades right now this is real time

00:08:38.280 they're they've just broken through the barricades

00:08:41.220 as migrants are getting tired they're holding riot shields

00:08:45.560 the national guard is trying to push the national guard is trying to confront the migrants 1.00

00:08:50.360 but they're not confronting they're not stopping them they're letting them pass

00:08:54.260 so yesterday is one of those days where you know when you're doing live tv i'm hosting war room this

00:09:00.560 week as stephen k bannon is on trial and we have one of those situations that really you know only

00:09:07.900 comes up once in a while it's lightning a bottle you can't plan them you don't know when it's going

00:09:12.460 to happen but we were we were filming and real america's voice had a correspondent down at the now

00:09:20.340 this is the southern border of mexico so the border between mexico and guatemala and he's doing a hit

00:09:27.200 down there telling us about these these waves of migrants and these new caravans that are coming up

00:09:32.420 from central america and these these are the new uh waves that are coming now it's central americans

00:09:37.400 coming through mexico and then eventually making their way to the u.s southern border

00:09:41.420 and i said as we were watching the clip that and you can hear me say this in real time i said

00:09:48.520 that doesn't look very secure behind you and i asked him what was the what's the heat like down

00:09:53.560 there what's the humidity like and i can't imagine it's the middle of july

00:09:56.340 and he said and i could see the situation deteriorating before my eyes and i watched

00:10:02.420 as first it was children that were put over the border then the mothers and then the national

00:10:09.820 guardsmen there were only maybe half a dozen of these guys there and they've got the riot shields

00:10:13.720 they've got their helmets on but they're facing off against thousands of people in this caravan

00:10:20.020 they broke through the barricades they stormed across pushed back the correspondent he goes

00:10:27.160 oscar ramirez and starts chasing after them continues and and you know you have to honor

00:10:34.960 the the temerity of this guy and the commitment to his job his commitment to the work to the craft

00:10:40.200 because he starts chasing after this caravan that's just broken through the barricades never

00:10:46.380 stops filming actually never stops talking and explaining what's going on but then you go to

00:10:51.820 secretary mayorkas over at the aspen security council that's being held right now and he's saying

00:10:56.520 that our borders are secure well i'm sorry secretary but you're wrong and i think that if i can go down

00:11:04.800 and have a clip like that that comes out you want to tell me that this is something that just randomly

00:11:10.320 happens every once in a while right and that's the southern mexican border our own u.s board where do

00:11:16.560 you think they're aiming for they're coming to the southern u.s border that's what this is about

00:11:23.600 we don't have a border right now and if you don't have a border you don't have a country

00:11:27.840 these are unsustainable numbers that we're seeing uh ramirez was telling me that they're seeing as many as

00:11:34.160 1 000 per day hitting that southern border there and they're making their way across up from mexico

00:11:41.200 in this heat in this heat this is a humanitarian disaster waiting to happen and secretary mayorkas

00:11:50.560 wants to go out there to aspen and wants to do all happy talk it's all happy he's not even anywhere

00:11:55.520 near the border he's not paying attention he doesn't care about this border he doesn't care about

00:11:59.440 our country he doesn't care about keeping people safe when the elementary school in uvalde in a

00:12:08.240 border town has 47 lockdowns because of illegal aliens being chased in cars by the police by law

00:12:17.120 enforcement by border security crashing going into the parking lot spilling out they call them bailouts

00:12:22.480 getaways 47 lockdowns in one year in just half of one year and then a school shooting happens

00:12:29.680 that's just one border city one border town one school what are we doing to these children on

00:12:37.280 the border our citizens why are we allowing this to come across as president trump told us all the way

00:12:44.320 back in 2015 the incidents of sexual assault and rape that are occurring to these people as they come

00:12:52.400 across are horrific it's humanitarian disaster and secretary mayorkas knows it

00:13:00.160 i'm thinking about the biden family like how are they doing this i know joe decided not to run in

00:13:06.800 2016 but what if he ran in the future aren't they taking political risk or headline risk and i remember

00:13:14.480 looking at jim biden and saying how are you guys getting away with this like aren't you concerned

00:13:20.080 and he certainly looked at me and he laughed a little bit and said plausible deniability so

00:13:26.240 believe it or not a story that i think a lot of people have completely forgotten about but we have

00:13:31.840 a story now coming to us via cnn so take that with a grain of salt but cnn is reporting that the hunter

00:13:39.120 biden investigation is now looking at actual federal charges the department of justice is weighing possible

00:13:47.760 charges against hunter biden after investigations into his business dealings and false statements

00:13:51.840 involving the purchase of a gun have reached a critical juncture sources say that the probe has

00:13:57.120 intensified in recent months with discussions among delaware-based prosecutors remember that's

00:14:01.840 where the grand jury is in delaware investigators running the probe and officials at the justice

00:14:06.480 department headquarters well no final decision is yet to be made the possibility of dropping charges on

00:14:12.480 hunter would put a long-standing um when i and when they say dropping charges here they mean actually

00:14:18.240 submitting charges not not getting rid of the charges i think they actually kind of cnn maybe go

00:14:22.320 back to school a little bit there for writing put a long-standing guideline to avoid bringing

00:14:26.960 politically sensitive cases close to an election what does it have to do they allege tax violations

00:14:32.240 and clearly by the way making false statements to the atf when he purchased his weapon it's really

00:14:38.960 simple and by the way this is something that the democrats like his father talk about all the time

00:14:45.040 lying to obtain an illegal gun what did hunter biden lie about when he went to purchase his gun

00:14:51.280 he lied about his abuse of hard narcotics and guess what i've got a whole lot of concurrent evidence

00:15:00.000 right now right i've got three copies of that hard drive with me i literally have three copies of the

00:15:05.360 hard drive with me that show you that right around that same time period 2018 2019 hunter biden was a

00:15:11.920 habitual user of methamphetamines and multiple other hard drugs we have been on video we have all the

00:15:21.040 evidence of this yet at the same time he applied for a gun for a gun in the state of delaware and

00:15:28.240 clearly lied to the atf about this right we have and that's and that's what they call that's what they

00:15:32.800 call legal headshot in the business they call that a legal headshot what does it mean it means you've

00:15:38.160 got direct evidence that he was using drugs at this time you got direct evidence of him lying and

00:15:43.920 direct evidence that you can prove it was at the exact same time so you're done right that's that's

00:15:49.680 your whole case you put that in front of a jury and you can say jury look boom boom boom you can bring

00:15:55.760 in some witnesses you can bring in whoever sold him the gun you can say is this your you know is this

00:15:59.280 your form is this the handwriting who was it do you see the defendant in the room today can you

00:16:03.680 identify the defendant can you identify the person is the man who purchased the gun in the room with

00:16:09.760 us now and then they point it was him it was guy with the spark plugs in his head pulsing out and the

00:16:16.560 guy with the new veneer teeth as he's sitting there in the front right and that's and that's direct

00:16:21.760 life that's lying to a federal agency right so we know that but the bigger issue in all of this

00:16:27.760 and the issue that i believe they're going to give him a pass on and you're seeing it right now

00:16:32.240 they're going to give him a pass on his dealings and we talked about it yesterday with the chinese

00:16:37.360 communist party his dealings with the oligarchs of ukraine his dealings in russia his dealings

00:16:42.480 in kazakhstan they're going to give him a complete pass on that and the fact that he was meeting with

00:16:47.440 his father 30 times that's the way the business worked he went out overseas he signed the deals then he

00:16:54.960 came back to his father and he told him what they worked on and he told them what the other side 0.97

00:17:01.200 needed from his dad do they think we're stupid right do they think we can't put this together

00:17:07.360 it's very obvious what they were doing here right and this is everything of course that they accused 0.85

00:17:12.000 trump of of saying oh you know this and there's all these secrets i don't need secrets with hunter

00:17:16.560 biden i've got the whole i've got his whole laptop we can show the dates we can put this all together

00:17:21.200 do you really honestly want to sit there and tell me that at the time vice president joe biden had no

00:17:27.520 idea had no clue whatsoever what his son was doing especially when we can show that on multiple trips

00:17:34.240 he was flying on the same airplane he's flying on air force two with his father yet we're told

00:17:41.520 that when he's going over on these foreign trips and signing these foreign deals that somehow he never 0.90

00:17:46.400 actually talked about it with his file ridiculous it's completely ridiculous this is a crime family 0.90

00:17:51.920 this is a criminal operation and they are going to get the cover-up they're going to make this about 0.95

00:17:56.080 the gun because they do have the legal headshot and they have to but mark my words the corruption will go

00:18:01.840 unpunished twitter has become kind of the de facto town square really important that people have the

00:18:09.600 both the uh the reality and the perception that they are able to speak freely within the bounds of

00:18:16.160 the law my strong intuitive sense is that uh having a public platform that is maximally trusted and

00:18:24.560 broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization elon musk the twitter lawsuit going

00:18:34.000 to a courtroom also by the way in the state of delaware i wonder if they can set it up so that

00:18:40.480 elon has to go to court at the same time as hunter biden and we could potentially get a photo of them

00:18:46.400 together which no you know because elon's that state and then and then hunter that would be federal so

00:18:51.680 you know i'm not sure where the courthouses sit there and but i don't know maybe we can just work

00:18:55.280 it out like we'll we'll go and we'll talk about this we'll see if we can schedule it together so they

00:18:59.760 might be around at the same time but elon and twitter so what's the situation here what's the

00:19:04.240 deal elon just lost his first round in the free trial motions here what did he lose he was trying

00:19:12.000 to get a delay he wanted them to push this thing back and say hey wait a minute we got a lot of data

00:19:16.480 from twitter we're looking through all this stuff we got to figure out what's going on and twitter said

00:19:20.320 no we're taking you to court we're suing you why because we have a contract you sign on the line

00:19:26.560 buddy you sign on the dotted line and that's the thing in m a and i've talked to a lot of lawyers

00:19:32.000 about this and they've pointed out that there is an extremely high bar for elon musk to get out of

00:19:38.160 this deal what does that mean it's not just about the 1 billion feet it's the execution of the deal

00:19:45.200 itself why because he said that he would purchase twitter and now the idea that he waived due diligence

00:19:51.040 that's not entirely true but also what everyone has said is that if he was really this worried

00:19:56.640 about bots if he was really this worried about fake traffic on twitter and we know there's bots

00:20:01.040 on twitter we know there's fake traffic on twitter it's 100 true but the problem is is that that's

00:20:06.240 caveated into the contract itself and because it's caveated into the contract itself which elon signed

00:20:12.880 it's very hard for him to go in and break it they call it the silver bracelets right the silver

00:20:17.680 bracelets of that contract are binding and one of the things twitter said in this um in this preliminary

00:20:24.400 hearing which again twitter won in front of the judge is that under u.s law it doesn't matter if

00:20:30.240 your name is elon musk it doesn't matter if your name is hunter bites not supposed to matter if your

00:20:34.240 name is hunter biden doesn't matter if your name is jack posobiec doesn't matter if your name is uh is

00:20:39.440 banjo kazooie right at the end of the day at the end of the day everyone is equal before the law

00:20:46.560 even young banjo kazooie yes and so if you sign a contract in the state that is binding you have

00:20:56.880 to abide by it now what does this all mean does this mean that elon musk has doesn't want to buy

00:21:03.200 twitter and that's really the big question because for those of us out there that are looking at this

00:21:08.240 as a way to get some semblance of free speech back into the united states some semblance of allowing

00:21:16.000 that freedom of speech in the in the mass public square and that's what it is the public square of

00:21:20.400 the 21st century and twitter so much and look i love getter i love true social but we need a way

00:21:26.880 we need a way to make twitter have the same type of free speech policies because we know that out

00:21:33.600 of the people that are on there the amount of soft power it has is immense and maybe just maybe elon

00:21:40.240 musk isn't the person isn't the right person to get us there and so if we do end up getting a new

00:21:46.480 congress and conservatives end up taking over congress in november they essentially be there

00:21:52.080 in january we get the new congress sworn in they need to take action on big tech we can't lose that

00:21:57.760 fight we have to do something about big tech and we have to do it now all right that's all the time

00:22:04.720 for us human events daily this is our first show from turning point sass you can already hear the

00:22:09.680 hustle and bustle as everybody's working to bring stuff together the chapter leadership summit is

00:22:18.560 up people are getting the structures in place a lot of the turning point family is getting together

00:22:22.640 which i always love i love when the family gets in so it's really great to be here if you're not in

00:22:26.640 tampa maybe you can make it down fly there's still some flights available there's still some tickets
