00:00:14.800 before we get into that i want to remind everybody the tickets are still available for a limited time

00:00:20.800 we're only two weeks away from the start of the turning point student action summit if you want

00:00:41.680 going to find that use promo code poso all caps for 25 off the link is in the description

00:00:46.980 ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard today's edition of human events daily powered by turning point

00:00:53.660 usa today's headlines of course and we have to explain everything that we know about it so far

00:00:59.180 former japanese president shinzo abe was assassinated during campaign speech last night in japan next up

00:01:08.360 president biden apparently sold assets barrels of our strategic petroleum reserve to a ccp gas company

00:01:18.560 linked financially to hunter biden okay third elon musk's deal to buy twitter is in peril we've

00:01:26.500 explained this to you day after day and now we're going to get into it some more and finally

00:01:30.920 a new york city bodega worker has been charged with murder after stabbing a man who attacked him

00:01:37.940 behind the counter all this more head human events daily

00:01:40.400 so today we americans send our condolences and prayers to the people of japan a great nation

00:02:06.640 in the face of tragedy may we honor the memory and service of a patriot like shinzo abe who spent his

00:02:14.940 entire life in service of his country and i would like to extend my personal condolences and prayers

00:02:23.140 to the people of japan in this time so from a news perspective um obviously this is still a developing

00:02:31.100 story we have to understand what all happened here but we'll give you the facts as we know them

00:02:36.500 now president biden has released a statement this morning saying that he was stunned outraged and

00:02:42.160 deeply saddened by the news we know that he was pronounced dead very early this morning um supposedly

00:02:48.820 he was giving a speech so japan has their uh what's essentially their senate their senate elections

00:02:54.700 coming up in about three days and it comes up this weekend and shinzo abe even though he's been

00:03:00.900 he stepped down as prime minister about uh about a year and a half ago that or almost two years ago

00:03:06.740 that he uh was giving a speech in support of a particular candidate of his party and he was in the

00:03:14.640 parking lot of what looks to be some sort of factory or you know manufacturing center and

00:03:20.760 an assailant approached him from behind pulled out a homemade double barrel shotgun short barrel

00:03:29.700 fired several shots from behind this primitive you know zip gun almost musket-like kind of contraption

00:03:36.140 hit him behind in the left chest so hits him you know strikes him in the back but the pellets lodge

00:03:43.600 in the chest and he fell to the ground rushed to the hospital cardiac arrest and was unable to be

00:03:51.360 revived the assailant we don't know much about him yet 41 years old wearing a gray t-shirt tan pants

00:03:59.600 did not flee was immediately taken into custody and we're told that he admitted that he confessed

00:04:07.280 immediately to the assassination the gunman supposedly was a former maritime self-defense

00:04:12.940 force member now japan's maritime self-defense force that's what they call the japanese navy

00:04:18.000 however he was a member a long time ago for only a brief period he told police that he was in that

00:04:24.920 he intended to kill abe because he was frustrated with the former prime minister according to japan's

00:04:31.620 national public broadcaster nhk this is one of japan's highest profile acts of political violence

00:04:37.240 in a long time um people may remember that in 1960 the japanese leader of the socialist party

00:04:44.840 was assassinated in public by an assassin with a katana blade um in the 1930s japan saw a wave of

00:04:54.220 political assassinations um and so this is certainly something that japan is no stranger to

00:05:00.180 unfortunately it has happened in this case shinjo abe 67 dedicated his entire life to serving his

00:05:07.180 country um staunch patriot he was a conservative extremely anti-ccp um one of the most pro-freedom

00:05:15.900 and anti-communist defenders and patriots that you would find anywhere in asia uh he clearly saw

00:05:24.320 the crisis the looming crisis for what it was in terms of asia and he also made made headlines

00:05:33.580 because when he was prime minister one of the biggest things he did was revise japan's constitution

00:05:38.960 to allow for more of an offensive standpoint for the japanese maritime self-defense force so there's this

00:05:46.980 idea that that japan's constitution doesn't allow for their military to be used offensively right this

00:05:53.320 is sort of part of the end of the treaty world war ii and abe was one of the first politicians the first

00:06:01.680 leaders true leaders to revise that and put japan more on the offensive in in asia in in able to defend

00:06:11.180 his country against china and against the rise of the ccp and the people's liberation army and particularly 0.98

00:06:17.920 their navy and so when you see a situation like this someone a man who has was a steadfast supporter

00:06:24.320 by the way of taiwan always supported taiwan and even uh as we know of course had a very close

00:06:30.780 relationship with president trump so we're going to continue to follow this we're not sure exactly

00:06:35.880 what happened yet but folks remember you never know when your time is going to come so you have to

00:06:42.320 stay in prayer and you have to always be ready because your time will come as the book as the

00:06:47.000 bible says like a thief in the night tanya tay and i just had the best meal the best cookout for july 4th

00:06:58.280 that i think we've ever had in our entire lives now of course growing up tanya tay did not celebrate

00:07:05.280 the 4th of july because she grew up in the soviet union but now that she is here if you listen to the

00:07:09.600 last spillover you know how much she loves this country and she said to me she said there's no way

00:07:14.120 better than to celebrate this than grilling up our burgers our wagyu burgers from good ranchers.com

00:07:23.160 we actually did it folks not just saying that for the ad oh no no no no no we actually had there on our

00:07:30.000 back deck the grill out with the good ranchers we were frying them up we were frying them with cheese

00:07:36.400 we were frying them with onions we were frying them every way under the sun all of our guests

00:08:03.640 where did you get these burgers did you get them at the store did you get them at the market where

00:08:08.240 they was some some local butcher i said no no good ranchers.com slash post so you go to this thing

00:08:15.040 you select which meat you want right you don't just have to get burgers by the way they've got

00:08:19.920 ribeyes t-bones new york strip they've got chicken uh they've got seafood if you want some of that as

00:08:25.360 well it's it's all there right it's all there whatever you like whatever your heart's desire and then

00:08:30.120 they ship it to you with this is the best part with if you use promo code poster you go to what

00:08:54.360 that does not mean that we are not still in mega month this is still a mega month and we demand

00:08:59.080 cookouts america desires cookouts and those cookouts desire good ranchers from good ranchers.com

00:09:05.640 make your meat selection immediately good ranchers.com slash post so

00:09:10.120 today i'm authorizing the release of one million barrels per day for the next six months over 180

00:09:19.360 million barrels for the strategic from the from the strategic petroleum reserve this is a wartime bridge

00:09:27.280 to increase oil supply until production ramps up later this year and it is by far the largest

00:09:33.760 release of our net our national reserve in our history it'll provide historic amount of supply

00:09:39.520 for a historic amount of time a six-month bridge to the fall and we'll use the revenue from selling

00:09:47.120 the oil now to restock the strategic petroleum reserve when prices are lower want a report from

00:09:52.780 the postmillennial.com revealed biden sold one million barrels our president one million barrels

00:10:03.100 of oil from u.s strategic reserves to a chinese company chinese gas company that hunter biden is

00:10:11.560 invested in in 2015 a private equity firm co-founded by hunter biden bought a stake in sinopec valued at

00:10:19.180 1.7 million dollars now this follows news on wednesday that millions of barrels of oil released

00:10:25.440 from america's strategic petroleum reserve were shipped overseas to china india and europe however

00:10:30.800 it's now been revealed that nearly 1 million barrels of our strategic national reserve of petroleum

00:10:40.280 were sent not only to china but to a ccp controlled company in which president biden's son 0.71

00:10:48.760 hunter biden had a stake in as recently as 2015 and we're not actually sure whether he still has a

00:10:55.620 stake in this because they've never been clean about it this is obviously something that needs

00:11:01.400 to be investigated this is and when it comes to we were talking yesterday about how boris johnson had

00:11:07.600 to resign because of scandals and i said i wasn't sure if americans even understood what a real scandal is

00:11:16.100 anymore because we've been getting so many fake scandals from the media pushed at president trump

00:11:23.220 right did he say americans should drink bleach did he uh say that did he dump the you know the food into 0.87

00:11:30.220 the koi pond when he was with prime minister abe a couple years ago and you know all of these ridiculous

00:11:35.120 things that we've forgotten what you know did he plan an insurrection that there's no actual evidence

00:11:41.440 of any of that yet here's a situation here's a situation where we've got a huge problem we've got a massive

00:11:52.360 problem on our hands the president of the united states is not supposed to tap into the strategic

00:12:00.160 petroleum reserve unless there's an actual emergency you go through history on this uh hurricanes when

00:12:07.420 the u.s is at war when we're in a national crisis but that's not what's going on here because the

00:12:13.900 problem is president biden's domestic energy policies have greatly raised the price of oil his domestic

00:12:24.060 policies have done that and now the crisis is for him and his political party and their ambitions

00:12:31.620 going to as americans go to the polls this november so the crisis has nothing to do with an actual

00:12:39.240 emergency it has to do with the biden administration and the fact that he wants his party to stay in power

00:12:46.300 in the polls that's the emergency those are the people who are suffering right now or who are about to

00:12:51.420 suffer in in november but he just took a strategic national resource our petroleum

00:12:58.720 which had been filled up president trump tried to refill it when gas prices were low congress blocked

00:13:05.940 him by the way democrat-controlled congress blocked them and yet we have a situation now where as

00:13:12.920 daniel turner the founder of power the future good friend of mine he stated these raw materials have

00:13:20.280 been sold to the chinese communist party for them to use as they want we were assured that president 0.93

00:13:25.540 biden was releasing this oil to america so it could be refined for gasoline to drive down prices at the

00:13:30.980 pump so right off the bat they are just lying to the american people what they're saying they did and

00:13:36.400 what they did are not remotely related there needs to be an inquiry into this there needs to be an

00:13:41.620 investigation i would even call for a special prosecutor this is something where we actually

00:13:49.140 need to potentially look at an impeachment of president biden for this situation there is a direct line

00:13:59.800 here financial ties to the ccp and lying to the american people huge scandal and as you're looking at 0.77

00:14:09.620 this situation put everything else aside and focus directly on what we already know they did

00:14:15.380 you tweet a lot i use my tweets to express myself some people use their hair i use twitter well but

00:14:25.820 you use your tweeting to to kind of get back at critics rarely you kind of have little wars with

00:14:32.020 the press twitter is a war zone if somebody's gonna jump in the war zone it's like okay you're in the

00:14:37.640 arena let's go elon musk his deal to buy twitter is in peril according to the washington post though

00:14:46.400 because it comes from the washington post we of course have to take this with a grain of salt

00:14:51.580 well here's what they've got they're saying that talks with investors have cooled in recent weeks

00:14:56.420 and musk's camp believes that it can't confirm twitter's claims about spam accounts and i just

00:15:02.800 want to look at this and say you know washington post you're acting like this is some kind of

00:15:08.380 scoop you're acting like this is some kind of huge reporting from the old reporting for the washington

00:15:14.440 post now today we've got it out now elon musk deal to buy twitter's in serious jeopardy stop

00:15:19.180 three people familiar with the matter say stop as must camp concluded the twitter's figures on spam

00:15:23.660 accounts are not verifiable stop must team has stopped engaging when certain discussions around

00:15:27.860 funding for the 44 million dollar bill including what the party name is likely back or one of the

00:15:32.860 people said stop the people spoke on condition of nimity because of the sensitivity of the ongoing

00:15:37.800 discussion stop and i'm like okay you know that would be amazing if we lived in a world where there

00:15:43.420 was this was an actual scoop from the from from washington post but if you had just listened

00:15:48.520 to human events daily for i don't know the past two months we have been telling you this again and

00:15:55.320 again and again elon musk doesn't like the data that's number one he said you lied about your user

00:16:02.980 numbers and then that's material fraud and number two he's saying that because you lied the stock price

00:16:10.340 is now going down and he's realizing that he's potentially overpaying for twitter but what's number

00:16:15.960 three on this and the washington post doesn't even i've looked through this thing is like 25 25 right

00:16:23.640 paragraphs long and you know what they don't mention they don't mention the fact that it is going to be

00:16:29.980 very hard for him to get out of this contract and that's what he said from day one you know why i did this

00:16:38.060 little it's a crazy little trick that i do this one little trick what was the little trick i actually

00:16:44.880 talked to people in the industry reached out to them people in tech people in wall street people

00:16:51.500 who understand mna lawyers and they told me they said jack look regardless of what you think about

00:16:57.620 elon regardless we think about twitter etc etc right he already signed the contract and the problem is

00:17:03.740 that because he signed the acquisition contract already that it's going to be very hard for him to use

00:17:12.240 this as a way to get out of it because they would have to be able to prove that twitter materially

00:17:19.460 lied to him that's different than twitter not having a good handle on its numbers right so the idea has to

00:17:27.860 be and it's very high bar right in u.s contract law to the point where i think somebody was telling me

00:17:33.420 that only one country company has ever gotten out of a contract like this before in in all of u.s history

00:17:40.220 right so the idea is that if he got this thing he signed for it he hasn't paid for it yet as we know

00:17:47.560 but he but he signed the contract you sign on the dotted line right used to say that in the military

00:17:53.120 you sign on the dotted line choose your rate choose your fate that's what we call mos is in the navy

00:17:58.160 choose your rate choose your fate and so the idea is that if elon thinks he's just going to walk away

00:18:03.720 from this it's going to be much harder now he's been putting public pressure on and obviously this

00:18:09.900 is something i think here's what i think is going on this is this is a strategic leak from elon's side

00:18:17.840 into the washington post the strategic leak from him because they're trying to put pressure on twitter

00:18:24.720 to drop the price because they know right they know that the stock price is going is falling lower and

00:18:31.780 lower and lower neither side wants to go into a you know a drawn out arbitration legal fees court

00:18:40.460 appearances i mean go look at the johnny depp amber heard thing right nobody wants to go through that

00:18:45.160 but twitter has the option of going to elon and saying you know what we have this contract we have

00:18:50.860 this thing here maybe we'll knock a few points off we'll shave a few points off that way you get to

00:18:56.520 save face but we also uphold the obligations of the contract i think that's what's going on here i

00:19:02.020 think this is a power play and because otherwise otherwise elon's on the foot for one billion dollars

00:19:10.320 in a breakup fee and potentially a lawsuit on his hands he don't want that we're gonna see how this plays

00:19:17.040 out do you have the numbers to show that it's the concealed carry permit holders that are committing

00:19:25.940 crimes because the lawful gun owner will say that you're attacking the wrong person it's really

00:19:32.260 people that are getting these guns illegally that are causing the violence not the people going and

00:19:37.280 getting the permit legally and that's the basis for the whole supreme court argument do you have the

00:19:43.780 numbers i don't need to have numbers i don't need i don't have to have a data point to point to to say

00:19:50.300 that this is going to make all i know is i have a responsibility to the people of the state

00:19:53.960 to have sensible gun safety laws we need to talk about bodegas so you remember bodega bro right we

00:20:02.240 were talking about bodega bro um the who was the the the football player who had just moved to

00:20:09.660 new york city and he got canceled from his job because he said that he didn't like bodegas he said

00:20:16.220 these aren't real supermarkets he got canceled for that for some reason said nothing wrong now a 51

00:20:23.380 year old bodega clerk convenience store clerk jose alba has been arrested and charged with murder

00:20:31.700 in the city of new york for the crime of defending himself defending himself while a crazed maniac

00:20:40.980 jumped over the counter started pushing him attacking him grabbing him around the neck grabbing him 1.00

00:20:50.820 around the waist a 37 year old assailant 51 year old deli clerk old guy well he picked up a knife

00:20:58.480 and he defended himself and the attacker was killed as the clerk defended himself yet jose alba

00:21:07.800 has now been charged with murder in the city of new york that's who the d the da is against

00:21:16.340 aoc came out and and she is you know her beloved bodegas where she goes for her iced coffees 1.00

00:21:22.420 she's listening to oya como va right from speaker backpack she tweeted about this

00:21:28.540 but she's nowhere to be found for jose alba even the mayor of new york eric adams has come out and

00:21:36.120 said look this is self-defense what are you doing it's very simple what the da new york is doing

00:21:43.340 da bragg what he's doing is the same thing that you saw in the run-up to the bolshevik revolution

00:21:50.640 in russia in the 1910s in the interwar period well i guess the end of the of the first world war

00:21:57.240 what were they doing they were letting violent criminals out of jail and then criminalizing people

00:22:04.080 who defend themselves if you can turn self-defense itself into a crime then you can criminalize and

00:22:14.000 terrorize your entire we already saw this with kyle rittenhouse kyle rittenhouse had 10 different

00:22:20.980 angles of video proving that he acted in self-defense including one angle of video

00:22:26.740 that was exclusively first released by me by human events daily from an fbi surveillance flight that

00:22:37.080 was up that night that they tried to scrub the records of the agent refused to even participate

00:22:43.460 publicly in the event they scrub they scrubbed the court record the fact that an fbi agent testified

00:22:49.860 at the kyle rittenhouse trial even though it was off camera the fbi had that flight up and yet they

00:22:57.140 tried to prevent people from you they provided prevent kyle rittenhouse from using that video to

00:23:03.400 exonerate himself because they knew what it showed they it showed a young boy operating to save his life

00:23:12.840 the same way that this video and there is video of this of jose alba working to save his life they are

00:23:18.980 trying to criminalize self-defense to destabilize our entire society

00:23:23.700 and that finishes out for this week of human events daily remember now more than ever our promise

00:23:31.180 our oath our solemn vow to you be good be brief be gone your homework for us share that one just pick

00:24:18.060 during a campaign speech next president biden selling a strategic petroleum reserve million barrels

00:24:24.180 to a ccp gas company linked to hunter biden third elon musk's twitter deal is in peril and then fourth

00:24:30.460 the new york city bodega worker charged with murder after stabbing a man in self-defense who attacked him

00:24:36.480 behind the counter the criminalization of self-defense now we also want to point out

00:24:40.980 that this week saw the 4th of july and we had an excellent 4th of july special if you haven't gone
