00:02:37.740 So what you're seeing there is the brutal aftermath of this situation.

00:03:02.860 It was a terror attack, most likely by Boko Haram or other insurgents, terrorists, jihadists, on a Catholic church, Pentecost Sunday.

00:03:12.880 Those people are now martyrs. Reports say as many as 50 were killed in this.

00:03:18.540 And so I took to Twitter to, number one, of course, offer my condolences and prayers for the people of Nigeria, the Catholics of Nigeria, the believers who are standing up and continuing to go to church even in the face of this terrorism.

00:03:34.540 But I also pointed out something, and I pointed out the fact that gun ownership is severely regulated in the country of Nigeria, right, for the plebs, for the regular people. 0.97

00:03:48.120 And I was making the point that armed security at the church is what's needed given this situation.

00:03:56.180 That tweet that I posted got so much heat from people all across the political spectrum, but particularly on the left.

00:04:06.540 People saying, how dare you use this to score political points?

00:04:10.400 This has nothing to do with your agenda.

00:04:13.000 This is why are you bringing this up?

00:04:15.140 I said, hold on a second.

00:04:16.200 Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:04:17.400 Slow down.

00:04:17.940 You're the people who said that all conservatives ever want to do is offer thoughts and prayers and never want to offer solutions in the wake of one of these horrific tragedies.

00:04:30.840 OK, well, here's a solution.

00:04:33.940 Arm the church goers. 0.98

00:04:36.260 There are churches here in the United States, synagogues as well, where people have armed security mosques, right?

00:04:42.000 And what they do is you've got church goers that come in.

00:04:46.460 They have their CCW, their concealed carry.

00:04:48.840 You also occasionally have people who choose to work on a rotating basis as the person who's guarding the door.

00:04:57.480 We saw this happen in Texas where there was an active shooter who was taken out in something like five seconds because the hero, Jack Wilson there, was able to take him out.

00:05:07.500 He was a firearms instructor.

00:05:09.100 He was locked and loaded and he was ready to protect his church.

00:05:14.460 All right.

00:05:15.920 If you and then I saw people saying, well, this isn't the same thing as the United States because this was a terrorist attack.

00:05:25.520 And therefore, my point doesn't make any sense.

00:05:29.120 I said, hold on a second.

00:05:30.400 You mean to tell me that, you know, there are terrorists operating in your area and you also know that these terrorists have a history of targeting churches.

00:05:42.360 How does that not make my point stronger that you should actually have more heightened security and gun ownership at those churches?

00:05:53.340 If you know there are terrorist groups, excuse me, it doesn't matter what the intent of the person is that's doing the shooting.

00:06:02.420 All right.

00:06:03.200 When you've got bullets flying in your direction, you need to.

00:06:07.740 And I hate to say this, but guess what?

00:06:09.460 We live in the real world.

00:06:10.500 You need to send bullets flying back in the other direction or they are not going to be stopped.

00:06:17.980 All right.

00:06:18.500 I'm sorry that that is such a revelation and such a controversial stand to take.

00:06:23.820 Right.

00:06:24.400 People are trying to bring up race.

00:06:25.800 People are trying.

00:06:26.140 I said, what?

00:06:26.620 I want the people to be able to defend themselves.

00:06:30.040 These are Catholics.

00:06:31.480 These are my fellow churchgoers.

00:06:33.500 Churchgoers.

00:06:34.480 I took my kids to church on Pentecost Sunday.

00:06:37.920 I want my kids to be safe.

00:06:40.200 I want everyone to be safe.

00:06:43.180 And until people start taking this stuff seriously, instead of just saying, oh, thoughts and prayers and thinking that, oh, your government's going to do something about it.

00:06:51.720 You need to take a stand.

00:06:53.960 John Locke.

00:06:54.800 I'll leave you with this.

00:06:55.720 The quote from the great John Locke on self-defense.

00:06:58.100 I have a right to destroy that which threatens me with destruction.

00:07:05.140 I have a right to destroy that which threatens me with destruction.

00:07:11.000 The right to self-defense is the positive expression of the right to life.

00:07:15.500 Can't have one without the other.

00:07:18.460 The Pizza Hut fallout continues.

00:07:21.540 Seriously, this thing has been trending almost every single day for the past five days since Pizza Hut has talked about going and pushing drag school and drag classes through these books, through their Book It program for kids.

00:07:38.840 And it feels like every single day, another major corporation or a baseball team, they're all going woke.

00:07:45.480 It's getting insane.

00:07:46.480 The leftist propaganda is all over the place.

00:07:49.460 That is why Human Events Daily is proud to support Patriot Mobile.

00:07:54.420 And we are joining forces with Patriot Mobile.

00:07:57.300 Patriot Mobile is America's only Christian conservative cell phone provider.

00:08:30.780 You'll also get free activation.

00:08:32.200 The link is in the description.

00:08:33.680 PatriotMobile.com slash POSO.

00:08:35.740 PatriotMobile.com slash POSO.

00:08:37.260 So, stop giving money to people who hate you.

00:08:40.220 The link is in the description.

00:08:44.000 Said another way, the number of real, unique humans that you see making comments on a daily base on Twitter is above 95%.

00:08:52.700 That is what they're claiming.

00:08:54.440 Does anyone have that experience?

00:08:56.280 I mean, there's a bridge I'd like to sell you, you know, you know, and also you can buy the Brooklyn Bridge.

00:09:19.440 Like, Elon Musk, huge legal filing, a letter that he sent to Twitter saying, I think you guys lied about the number of fake accounts that you have.

00:09:32.840 And essentially what that also means is that they lied about the number of real accounts they have.

00:09:37.380 So, I want to make sure everybody understands this, that the issue isn't the amount of bots.

00:09:42.040 The issue is the amount of real followers they said they have.

00:09:45.620 So, Twitter based its valuation, and Elon Musk took their disclosure at face value as to what the valuation would be for the company based on their numbers that they sent to him.

00:09:57.500 Now, he's doing his due diligence and saying, wait a minute.

00:10:00.180 I think that your bot number is actually higher, which means your real, daily, monthly, average user number is lower.

00:10:09.480 What does that mean?

00:10:10.760 Essentially, what he's saying is Twitter lied, it was a material false statement, and therefore, he should either A, be able to be out of his contract, or B, be able to renegotiate his contract and possibly get it for less money.

00:10:24.140 Here's the problem, though.

00:10:26.300 A lot of lawyers are pushing back on this saying, look, you did sign that contract.

00:10:32.040 And so, you have to prove material fraud.

00:10:35.480 High bar.

00:10:36.300 Very high bar.

00:10:37.720 Has not been done very much in the history of Wall Street when you've been in a buyout like this.

00:10:44.680 Because if this thing goes to court, which is essentially what they're talking about.

00:10:47.720 So, here's the way it plays out.

00:10:49.100 If this goes to court, Elon Musk walks out of the deal, then they sue him, there's that $1 billion fee that he's on the hook for.

00:10:58.460 Keep in mind, $1 billion cash.

00:11:00.160 And that means he's got to sell a whole lot of that Tesla stock, which means that'll tank Tesla stock, which means that his net value will go on.

00:11:07.900 Because remember, his net value, all those ones and zeros you see, that's all on paper because of his ownership of Tesla stock.

00:11:16.420 Look, Tesla stock goes down, his net value goes down.

00:11:19.900 It's not the same thing as having hard assets.

00:11:22.360 So, if he starts converting to cash, he's going to see his whole net value go down.

00:11:26.840 I might even see the valuation of Tesla itself go down.

00:11:29.660 What does this mean, though?

00:11:30.980 This means potentially either A, he tries to walk, Twitter sues, it could be held up in courts for months, if not years.

00:11:40.580 Or they could come to a settlement and Twitter says, look, we'll knock a little bit off the price, but you still have to do the buyout.

00:11:46.420 But here's the new wrinkle.

00:11:49.080 Remember, Elon Musk, Texas, Tesla, Texas.

00:11:53.360 The Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says, today I am investigating Twitter for potentially misleading Texans, right?

00:12:02.460 Elon Musk, Texan, on the number of its quote unquote bot users.

00:12:05.980 I have a duty to protect Texans if Twitter is misrepresenting how many accounts are fake to drive up their revenue.

00:12:13.760 He wrote, to address this concern, Attorney General Paxton issued a civil investigative demand to investigate whether Twitter's reporting on real versus fake users is false, misleading or deceptive.

00:12:24.820 Under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, meaning that Twitter must turn over documents related to how it calculates and manages its user data and how these numbers relate to Twitter's advertising business.

00:12:38.000 So what you have here is Texas' AG is coming in, swinging down from the rafters and saying, I'm going to stand up with Elon Musk.

00:12:46.860 Now, obviously, Texas wants Elon Musk's business through SpaceX, right?

00:12:51.520 They've got their spaceport in Texas.

00:12:53.300 He's going to do, because of the amount of jobs that Elon Musk provides to the state of Texas, you know that it's in Texas' best interest to make sure that all of that still operates.

00:13:02.460 And so Paxton's coming in now on behalf of Elon Musk.

00:13:05.840 Guess what?

00:13:06.580 That's the way the world works.

00:13:09.160 And so the courts, depending on what venue you can get this in, and we don't know more sure, probably, by the way, that Elon will try to venue shop this the same way that Johnny Depp venue shopped his defamation case against Amber Heard.

00:13:22.140 It didn't work out so well for him in the UK, but he came to court in Virginia, and it did work out, right?

00:13:28.420 That's what Elon's looking at now.

00:13:30.620 So, the question is, though, was Steve Bannon right when he said that Elon's going to try to walk from this deal?

00:13:37.680 Guess what?

00:13:38.620 It looks like that's exactly what Elon is trying to do.

00:13:42.680 Get it for a lower value, but still become the owner.

00:13:46.660 And he addressed a very important issue, which is one reason why he got so much support, and that is it cracks down on the scourge of human trafficking and especially focuses on protecting teens from being lured into human trafficking.

00:13:59.840 Teens who are more vulnerable, who are perhaps more likely to be lured into this.

00:14:04.900 And so, for one, it ensures that no one under the age of 18 is permitted inside a sexually owned business, and no one under the age of 21 can work inside a sexually owned business.

00:14:17.540 So, this ensures that we will have tools and strategies to make sure that we will be able to keep these young teens or people under the age of 21 outside of these sexually owned businesses.

00:14:27.660 Well, Human Events' investigation into what exactly is going on in the state of Texas.

00:14:34.640 There's something rotten in Texas, folks.

00:14:36.540 That continues, right?

00:14:39.320 And I know a lot of Texans.

00:14:40.880 There are Texans that listen to this program and call me.

00:14:43.260 They say, Posobik, Poso, something's wrong in Texas.

00:14:47.780 We aren't like that.

00:14:49.220 We didn't used to be like that.

00:14:50.840 But the schools are changing.

00:14:52.440 The government's changing.

00:14:53.800 The county's changing.

00:14:54.780 The judges are changing.

00:14:56.220 We need to get the right people in office so that we can get our state back, get our culture back, and eventually, by the way, get our country back.

00:15:04.800 So, in that instance, you just heard Governor Abbott.

00:15:08.920 He said that kids aren't going to be allowed into these types of businesses.

00:15:12.440 And yet, this drag show, which was held for kids over the weekend, was able to commence.

00:15:18.720 Well, hold on a second.

00:15:20.220 If Governor Abbott says that it's against the law, why was this allowed in Dallas?

00:15:25.180 Well, apparently, the local authorities there in Dallas have no problem with it because they think it's like a gray area between.

00:15:32.760 Well, see, that's a bar, but it's holding the show, so it's not exactly designed for this type of business.

00:15:41.360 It's just a bar holding a special performance, not expressly oriented.

00:15:46.780 Like, it's not a strip club, basically.

00:15:49.200 Wow.

00:15:50.180 Even though people are stripping and are wearing lewd outfits while inside the bar.

00:15:55.680 Okay.

00:15:56.940 Also understand why kids are allowed in the bar to begin with.

00:15:59.500 Well, you got Texas, at least finally, there's one rep who's willing to see sense or try to make some common sense out of this.

00:16:06.880 Texas rep Brian Slayton has come forward, and it's pretty simple.

00:16:11.900 He says, look, we need to codify this as a law to make it very clear that even if you're not the type of establishment that is sexually oriented,

00:16:23.120 but if you are a, I guess, regular commercial establishment, which is holding sexually oriented performances and content,

00:16:32.120 then that is also prohibited for minors to be there.

00:16:37.260 How sad is it, by the way, that this has to be codified into law in Texas, of all places?

00:16:42.720 Texas, right?

00:16:43.900 We're not talking about California, where obviously there would never be a law passed there,

00:16:48.100 but in Texas, this is what's going on.

00:16:51.180 That shows you how far our country has come, how far our culture has come from getting away from anything.

00:16:58.800 Remember, it's not the truth anymore.

00:17:01.600 It's my truth.

00:17:02.580 It's your truth.

00:17:03.620 What is a woman, right? 1.00

00:17:05.460 Whatever you identify, what is good, what is evil?

00:17:08.080 You can't have good and evil if you don't believe in objective truth and objective reality.

00:17:12.280 I'm going to say that again.

00:17:14.120 You cannot have good and evil if you don't believe in objective truth and objective reality.

00:17:19.940 Because if everything is subjective, then everything is relative.

00:17:23.660 So you end up in a place where you have moral relativism.

00:17:27.240 If you have moral relativism, it becomes this whole, oh, who's to say?

00:17:31.860 Who's to say that that's wrong?

00:17:34.120 Who's to say that that's right?

00:17:35.900 That's how we got to where we are now.

00:17:39.360 Remember, tolerance is not a Christian virtue.

00:17:41.640 You can read the Bible.

00:17:43.040 You can read the New Testament.

00:17:43.960 It's not there.

00:17:45.640 But tolerance is the highest secular value today in the West.

00:17:51.300 Tolerance.

00:17:52.220 You have to tolerate everything.

00:17:53.660 You have to tolerate everything.

00:17:55.440 Christ never said to tolerate.

00:17:57.300 Christ said, go and sin no more.

00:18:01.180 I will take you as you are, but I will not leave you as you were.

00:18:05.360 That's Christ.

00:18:06.020 That's biblical morality, right?

00:18:09.180 This idea that there is good and evil.

00:18:11.800 There are virtues, right?

00:18:14.680 And you can find this in Aristotle.

00:18:16.400 You can find this everywhere.

00:18:18.400 Plato.

00:18:19.540 But where you won't find is the word tolerance.

00:18:22.180 It's not there.

00:18:23.440 So what did Brian Slayton say?

00:18:24.780 Rep Slayton, drag shows are no place for a child. 0.98

00:18:27.380 I would never take my children to a drag show.

00:18:29.460 And I know Speaker Dave Phelan and my Republican colleagues would not either.

00:18:33.040 I'll be filing legislation to address this issue in the new Texas legislative session.

00:18:38.460 Folks, this shouldn't even need to be said.

00:18:43.200 But again, this is the point of the movie we're in.

00:18:46.180 It just keeps happening.

00:18:52.160 Shots ring out.

00:18:54.460 Flags come down.

00:18:56.600 And nothing ever changes.

00:19:00.340 Except here in New York.

00:19:02.960 In New York...

00:19:04.020 In New York, we are taking bold, strong action.

00:19:12.120 We're tightening the red flag laws to keep guns away from dangerous people.

00:19:17.300 And we're raising the age of semi-automatic weapons

00:19:20.840 so no 18-year-old can walk in on their birthday and walk out with an AR-15.

00:19:26.560 Those days are over.

00:19:28.520 Those days are over.

00:19:30.500 You hear that?

00:19:31.320 Those days are over.

00:19:33.580 And in the state of New York,

00:19:35.600 we're now requiring social media networks

00:19:37.960 to monitor and report hateful conduct on their platforms.

00:19:42.840 Thank you, Senator Anna Kaplan.

00:19:44.400 And thank you, Assemblymember Patricia Fahey.

00:19:48.260 So there's Governor Kathy Hochul.

00:19:51.000 A woman who was installed into office.

00:19:53.120 Keep in mind, that woman was installed. 1.00

00:19:55.720 No one ever voted for her for anything.

00:19:58.240 Yet she is now the governess of the state of New York.

00:20:01.680 She's signing these bills into law. 0.98

00:20:04.500 She's the one making these decisions.

00:20:06.100 And that's how democracy is supposed to work, right?

00:20:09.600 Democracy, right?

00:20:10.840 The people who love democracy

00:20:11.820 also love having their unelected bureaucrats

00:20:14.960 being the ones who make these decisions for everybody else.

00:20:18.360 So now, in the state of New York,

00:20:21.240 you cannot purchase a semi-automatic rifle

00:20:24.840 if you are, or I should say, until you reach the age of 21.

00:20:29.100 Now, other rifles, shotguns, are going to be available

00:20:31.940 between those ages 18, 19, 20, until you reach your 21st birthday.

00:20:35.200 But, and by the way, this is going to be something

00:20:38.200 the left pushes across the country.

00:20:40.540 They're going to try to make this 21 for everybody.

00:20:44.040 You also saw, of course, that she's asking

00:20:46.360 for social media companies to start monitoring social media more.

00:20:50.200 Why?

00:20:50.900 This is because they're trying to combine red flag laws,

00:20:55.080 ones that are supported by people who claim to be conservative,

00:20:57.800 like Dr. Oz.

00:20:58.680 Because now, they want to combine that

00:21:01.660 with government oversight of social media.

00:21:04.080 So just, I want you guys to understand where this is going.

00:21:06.480 This is starting in New York, but it's not going to end there.

00:21:09.680 This is going to go nationwide,

00:21:12.160 and you're going to see this pushed

00:21:13.720 from the highest levels of government.

00:21:17.500 And so I saw some people kind of glibly saying,

00:21:19.480 and I would say this too,

00:21:20.560 if we're going to raise the age

00:21:21.900 of owning a semi-autogratic rifle,

00:21:25.200 then why don't we raise the age to vote to 21?

00:21:30.460 Why is it the same people

00:21:31.840 that want you to be able to lower,

00:21:33.900 remember, these are the people

00:21:34.600 who want to lower the age to vote to 16.

00:21:37.760 So if you're 16,

00:21:39.180 and you can start to quote-unquote

00:21:40.840 participate in democracy,

00:21:42.720 yes, for those out there,

00:21:43.960 we're a constitutional republic, obviously,

00:21:45.580 but I'm going with what they call it, right?

00:21:48.720 They'll say,

00:21:49.600 you can participate in democracy fully at 16,

00:21:51.820 but you can't join the military until you're 18,

00:21:53.680 and then you can't even own

00:21:55.440 a semi-automatic rifle, AR-15.

00:21:58.400 Or, why don't you just get an AR-10?

00:22:00.680 It's five ARs safer than an AR-15.

00:22:04.080 Here's the way I look at it.

00:22:04.980 If they come to ban AR-15s, 0.86

00:22:07.280 then I'm just going to say

00:22:08.420 that my rifle identifies as an AR-16.

00:22:12.180 So you see, it's a completely different rifle now.

00:22:13.800 It identifies as an AR-16.

00:22:15.180 How do you know?

00:22:16.000 Oh, well, what is an AR-15 then?

00:22:18.300 Look, they are pushing this stuff

00:22:21.540 because they are destabilizing society.

00:22:25.020 They think it's in your best interest.

00:22:26.340 They think it's going to make you safer.

00:22:28.160 They put safety as the name of everything.

00:22:31.560 We're going safety, safety, safety first, right?

00:22:33.480 We were just in Europe.

00:22:34.120 My brother pointed out

00:22:34.900 they don't have guardrails everywhere in Europe

00:22:37.020 like they do here.

00:22:38.380 They allow people to just jump in the lake,

00:22:40.560 just jump in the river,

00:22:41.560 go have a good time,

00:22:42.840 right in the middle of the city.

00:22:45.180 You don't see that in the United States.

00:22:48.180 We have a culture of over-safety

00:22:51.140 and we are giving the government

00:22:53.140 more and more power over us.

00:22:55.480 And that is it for us here, Human Events Daily.

00:23:00.400 We are back in the saddle.

00:23:02.060 Capitol Hill powered by Turning Point USA.

00:23:04.460 By the way, I want to say thank you

00:23:05.940 to everybody out there

00:23:07.160 who has been sharing this with your Normie friends.

00:23:08.920 We just had one of our biggest weeks ever.

00:23:11.280 I think it was actually,

00:23:12.160 I'll have to run the numbers on this.

00:23:13.280 I think it was our biggest week ever

00:23:14.760 just this last week.

00:23:16.120 So I know you're sharing it out

00:23:17.160 with our Normie friends.

00:23:18.240 We are racing up the charts,

00:23:19.960 Apple politics,

00:23:21.080 coming back towards the top yet again.

00:23:23.360 So thank you for myself,

00:23:24.820 for all the hard work,

00:23:25.820 Producer Mike,

00:23:26.500 Producer Shah,

00:23:27.160 Producer Angelo,

00:23:28.020 Consigliere Angelo,

00:23:29.340 who's holding down the fort today in Phoenix.

00:23:32.640 But remember,

00:23:33.920 our promise,

00:23:34.400 our oath,

00:23:34.640 our solemn vow to you,

00:23:35.380 be good,

00:23:35.640 be brief,

00:23:36.220 be gone.

00:23:36.760 Your homework for us

00:23:37.500 to share this out

00:23:38.340 with one of your Normie friends

00:23:39.300 and then leave us one of your reviews.

00:23:41.100 What do we talk about this week?

00:23:42.860 Gunmen

00:23:43.280 killing at least 50

00:23:45.060 in a massacre

00:23:46.080 at a Catholic church

00:23:47.280 in Southwest Nigeria.

00:23:49.200 Elon Musk

00:23:49.920 threatening to back out

00:23:51.700 of the Twitter deal

00:23:52.580 if fake account data

00:23:53.980 is not disclosed.

00:23:55.220 Texas lawmakers

00:23:56.000 bringing a bill

00:23:57.520 to ban minors 0.96

00:23:58.700 from drag shows

00:23:59.700 and New York Governor

00:24:00.800 Kathy Hochul

00:24:01.520 restricting gun ownership

00:24:02.860 to 21 plus

00:24:04.660 decreeing

00:24:05.740 that social media networks

00:24:06.980 need to monitor

00:24:07.620 and report

00:24:08.300 hateful conduct

00:24:09.340 on their platforms.

00:24:10.560 But first,

00:24:11.540 before we go,

00:24:12.440 it's time for today's

00:24:13.400 History Break.

00:24:14.760 Today,

00:24:15.500 all the way back

00:24:16.400 in 2002,

00:24:17.360 U.S. President

00:24:18.000 George W. Bush

00:24:19.580 announced the new

00:24:20.980 Department of Homeland Security

00:24:22.300 to protect America

00:24:23.580 from terrorist attacks.

00:24:24.660 And I'd just like to say

00:24:25.380 thank you

00:24:25.920 to the Department

00:24:26.780 of Homeland Security

00:24:27.600 because it has now been

00:24:28.860 20 years

00:24:29.940 without a...

00:24:30.840 Right, guys?

00:24:31.280 We haven't had a single

00:24:32.140 terrorist attack

00:24:33.040 in 20 years.

00:24:34.440 Not one

00:24:35.440 here in the United States

00:24:36.640 or anywhere

00:24:37.280 where the United States

00:24:38.440 is involved.

00:24:39.040 As a matter of fact...

00:24:39.660 Oh, wait.

00:24:40.520 Wait, I'm sorry.

00:24:41.180 Hold on.

00:24:41.400 I'm just getting my ear here.

00:24:42.700 Oh, we have had some.

00:24:44.320 We've had a few.

00:24:45.240 Turns out that

00:24:45.700 making the government bigger

00:24:46.560 didn't actually make

00:24:48.060 people safer

00:24:48.860 because we have

00:24:49.400 a culture problem

00:24:50.180 and not a government problem.

00:24:51.940 Ladies and gentlemen,

00:24:53.280 as always,

00:24:54.280 you have my permission

00:24:55.160 to lay ashore.
