00:01:33.820 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Turning Point USA's Human Events Daily
00:01:39.580 with your host, me, Jack Posobiec, coming to you live from an undisclosed location.
00:01:45.820 Today's top headlines.
00:01:47.960 The Durham trial is now getting underway of Michael Sussman as Durham takes a former Clinton attorney,
00:01:54.320 Michael Sussman, to court.
00:01:55.820 Next, the Biden administration has approved sending hundreds of U.S. Special Forces troops to Somalia.
00:02:02.020 Interesting.
00:02:02.480 Don't remember voting on that.
00:02:03.660 Next, the latest in the Elon Musk Twitter deal.
00:02:07.780 Is it on hold?
00:02:08.820 Will it go through?
00:02:09.740 And finally, Project Veritas, new release, Twitter does not believe in free speech.
00:02:14.600 All this and more head, Human Events Daily.
00:02:26.100 Making as we've been going along the ways, making some rulings and holding off on others,
00:02:30.240 this one's kind of important.
00:02:31.260 It goes to the heart of what John Durham's been asking the court for,
00:02:34.620 which is you, the judge, need to review all this information,
00:02:37.720 these documents that the defense and company have withheld from me.
00:02:41.340 The defense being Sussman, Fusion GPS, Clinton World, Clinton Campaign,
00:02:45.840 have withheld 1,400 documents.
00:02:48.400 John Durham hasn't even seen them because they, on the other side,
00:02:52.200 took it amongst themselves to say, you're not allowed to see them.
00:02:56.260 But, you know, thankfully, that's not how federal court works.
00:02:58.600 They can get away with that, those shenanigans in Congress,
00:03:01.580 which they did when we were running Russiagate, but not against a federal judge.
00:03:04.400 So the trial of Michael Sussman has begun.
00:03:08.560 And now, as normally happens when we're covering some of these stories from the Durham situation,
00:03:14.520 the Durham Special Counsel,
00:03:15.740 we really have to go back because this isn't like the coverage that Special Counsel Mueller received.
00:03:23.700 Why is that?
00:03:24.760 Because the media is not giving it the same amount of push.
00:03:29.180 They're not giving it the same amount of credence.
00:03:31.180 Remember, Mueller, it was leak after leak after leak.
00:03:34.160 They were using their friends in the media.
00:03:35.860 They were going to people.
00:03:36.980 They were planting stories.
00:03:38.240 They were saying, oh, they're investigating this.
00:03:39.880 They're investigating that.
00:03:40.680 They're looking here.
00:03:41.200 They're looking there.
00:03:41.840 They're looking high.
00:03:42.560 They're looking low.
00:03:43.340 But when it comes to this situation, it's up to us and very terse print reporting
00:03:51.100 and shows like this, Human Events Daily,
00:03:54.160 that are giving you the actual truth of what's going on in this case.
00:03:58.620 The same way that we're giving you the truth of the fact that five days from now,
00:04:03.500 we will have the start of the World Economic Forum in Davos
00:04:07.080 and the start of the WHO Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
00:04:10.820 Those start in five days.
00:04:12.840 Human Events Daily, we'll talk about that.
00:04:15.380 Let's see if anybody else talks about it.
00:04:17.000 But getting back to this case, getting back to it.
00:04:19.200 From the New York Post, special counsel John Durham's three-year probe
00:04:22.700 into the FBI and Robert Mueller's investigations of former President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign
00:04:27.700 will reach a critical moment with the trial of former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman.
00:04:33.760 So what's going on?
00:04:34.500 Remember, Durham is looking into the origins of Russiagate.
00:04:38.140 Why did this happen?
00:04:39.840 How did this come about?
00:04:41.480 What lies came about in terms of setting up this case and setting up this false investigation?
00:04:48.400 And what do we see here?
00:04:49.340 What do we see?
00:04:50.500 Washington, D.C. lawyer Jim Trustee stated that a former high-ranking Justice Department prosecutor
00:04:57.380 said that Durham has a pretty strong case against Sussman,
00:05:00.520 who is charged with a count of lying to the FBI.
00:05:03.920 But you never know if a jury will rebel.
00:05:08.020 And so go back, go all the way back.
00:05:09.720 What are we talking about?
00:05:10.560 How did we get here?
00:05:11.840 Durham goes with these allegations against Trump, specifically the allegation about this
00:05:16.720 Alpha Bank and that the Trump organization had some computer data that showed that they
00:05:22.580 had a secret communication with the Alpha Bank, right?
00:05:24.920 We didn't know exactly what that was at the time.
00:05:26.800 It was like one big Washington Post story and then it disappeared after that.
00:05:30.180 And then what we didn't know is that behind the scenes, this guy Sussman was reaching out
00:05:36.680 to his buddies at the FBI, James Baker, telling them that they needed to start an investigation
00:05:42.740 based on this information and that he wasn't working on behalf of any campaign.
00:05:48.220 Well, we now know that was a lie.
00:05:50.040 We now know that that lie was used to start a FISA warrant, okay, on a sitting member of the political opposition.
00:06:02.940 This is something that should be absolutely chilling to you, regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum.
00:06:08.320 If we've gotten to the point where we are spying on the opposition candidate for office because we don't like their politics, because we don't want them to win, we will be willing to spread any spurious accusation against them, to use the power of the state, to use the power of federal law enforcement and the national security state.
00:06:28.640 Again, always in the name, always in the name, defending the homeland, in the name of national security.
00:06:35.940 Do you know what they do in the name of national security in China?
00:06:39.340 Do you know what they do in the name of national security in Hong Kong?
00:06:43.020 They lock up people like Cardinal Zen, who just got locked up last week in Hong Kong.
00:06:48.780 Again, in the name of national security.
00:06:51.260 We have to suspend your liberties in the name of national security.
00:06:54.780 We have to spy on the opposition in the name of national security.
00:06:59.240 So this trial is going up.
00:07:00.540 But the question still becomes, it's going to a D.C. jury.
00:07:05.080 And as we've seen in the past, activists have the ability to get on these juries.
00:07:10.460 We saw it in the Chauvin case.
00:07:11.880 We saw it in the Roger Stone case.
00:07:13.420 I was in the room for the Roger Stone case when this happened.
00:07:17.140 The judge didn't care in either of the cases.
00:07:20.200 We also knew that Chauvin had a BLM activist on the jury, lied his way to get on there, didn't care.
00:07:26.280 So the question becomes, the tricky part now for Durham is he's got to get all of this through a D.C. jury.
00:07:35.940 Breaking news out of Seattle today.
00:07:38.340 Starbucks has stated that they will be paying the travel expenses for U.S. employees to access abortion and, quote, gender confirmation procedures for anybody who wants to so choose because they view that as a health expense.
00:07:55.680 That's what's going on.
00:07:57.000 That's what woke corporations are doing.
00:07:59.700 It's not just leftist propaganda anymore.
00:08:02.120 They're funding organizations and they're funding activities by people who seem to hate this country, traditional values, and the Constitution.
00:08:10.320 And that's why Human Events Daily is proud to announce that we are partnering with Patriot Mobile, America's only Christian conservative cell phone provider.

00:08:49.480 Veterans and first responders say even more, so make the switch today.
00:08:53.220 It's time we support companies that love America, love you, and share your values.
00:08:56.780 This decision was based on a request from Secretary Austin and included advice from senior commanders and, of course, concern for the safety of our troops who have incurred additional risk by deploying in and out of Somalia on an episodic basis for the past 16 months.
00:09:18.520 Shifting to a persistent presence will not change the mission, and it will not imply substantial changes in resources.
00:09:25.960 We're working now to evaluate local conditions, including those following the Somali presidential election yesterday, and we're engaging partners in the region, including the Somali government, to determine the best way forward.
00:09:37.120 Al-Shabaab continues to conduct attacks, certainly there in Somalia.
00:09:40.820 They have been capable of conducting attacks in the region, and we know that in the past they have expressed at least the intent and desire to attack outside the region, including against American interests.
00:09:54.400 So we're watching this closely.
00:09:56.620 This is not a threat that's going away.
00:09:58.220 Again, it's not like we haven't been doing anything in Somalia at all.
00:10:03.800 That's not true.
00:10:04.420 It's just the secretary believes and the president has approved his recommendation that a better, more efficient way to get at that threat is to have a more persistent presence.
00:10:14.620 Just don't call it an invasion, right?
00:10:17.540 We can't say that what we did, what the United States is doing right now in Somalia is an invasion.
00:10:23.640 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:10:25.140 This isn't Black Hawk Down.
00:10:26.320 This isn't Mogadishu.
00:10:27.340 No, this is simply sending troops into Somalia.
00:10:31.500 It's an intervention.
00:10:33.400 You see, it's an intervention.
00:10:34.900 So what is this?
00:10:35.480 Libby Emmons wrote it up at the Post Millennial.
00:10:37.580 The Biden administration is deploying U.S. troops to Somalia.
00:10:41.960 President Biden signs off on the plan on Monday, along with a plan to target some of a dozen leaders of al-Shabaab.
00:10:47.800 President Trump had withdrawn troops from the war-torn region near the end of his term in office.
00:10:52.620 But now 450 troops will be sent to Somalia.
00:10:56.200 Hundreds of troops are being sent, part of the new Special Forces Battalion against al-Shabaab, this terrorist group.
00:11:05.960 Now, I want to explain.
00:11:07.580 I want to explain something.
00:11:10.400 And here's what's amazing to me.
00:11:11.840 Here's what's amazing, all right?
00:11:13.720 They say al-Shabaab poses a threat to U.S. outposts in the region.
00:11:18.800 And because al-Shabaab poses a threat to U.S. outposts in the region, we simply have to bring more troops there.
00:11:24.640 We have to bring more troops.
00:11:25.540 There's no question.
00:11:26.840 This is the old way of thinking.
00:11:29.380 The old way of thinking that the U.S. has outposts everywhere.
00:11:32.900 We have to defend them.
00:11:33.860 So, of course, we have to send troops to defend them.
00:11:35.920 All we're – it's defensive.
00:11:37.580 It's clearly defensive.
00:11:38.540 Is it?
00:11:38.880 Why does the U.S. military have these outposts everywhere?
00:11:43.900 Why does the U.S. military have this involvement in so many parts of the world?
00:11:49.480 And now, if you want to sit there and make the case and make the argument for why we should have this and why we should be doing these things, I say, okay, okay, we can do that.
00:11:59.740 Now, would those same people turn around and be very upset if China or Russia were getting involved in the Caribbean, were getting involved on our doorstep?
00:12:11.440 Because that's what we're doing here in Somalia, Horn of Africa.
00:12:14.420 What is the situation where that takes priority over the United States border, the United States homeland, the fact that we can't even feed our children here in the United States?
00:12:32.400 And people saying, oh, well, it's just $450 billion for Ukraine.
00:12:35.840 You know, we can't use that for baby – really?
00:12:37.520 Because there's lots of countries out there that make baby formula.
00:12:41.960 Have you seen baby formula in the EU?
00:12:44.800 It's great.
00:12:45.940 This is fantastic stuff.
00:12:47.680 Ashley St. Clair was talking about it yesterday.
00:12:50.140 I know that my wife gets baby formula from Europe.
00:12:53.560 Go ahead and buy some baby formula.
00:12:55.820 Get it to the kids who need it.
00:12:58.200 But no, we're going to send $450 billion overseas.
00:13:00.720 Now we're going to send hundreds of troops overseas, not defending the U.S. border, not defending the American people.
00:13:07.520 And not defending the homeland.
00:13:09.500 This is what we mean by America first versus America last.
00:13:14.080 America first doesn't mean that the – there's this, like, media narrative about it that somehow America first means that we don't like the, you know, other countries or that we hate the rest of the world.
00:13:25.980 No, no, no, no, no.
00:13:26.980 It's about – it means our government should put the needs of our own people before the needs of others, before the needs of Somalia, before the needs of Eurasia, before the needs of anywhere.
00:13:40.280 Afghanistan, right?
00:13:41.520 You put the needs of the American people first because that is who you were elected to represent.
00:13:47.900 However, we're starting to realize that some of these politicians don't seem to be elected to represent the people of the country.
00:13:57.380 No, no, no.
00:13:58.300 They seem to have been elected to represent special interests, money laundering, defense contractors, and so much more.
00:14:07.060 In this case, you are not successful in – you know, the board does not accept your offer.
00:14:15.180 You've said you won't go higher.
00:14:16.500 Is there a plan B?
00:14:21.340 There is.
00:14:26.340 I think we would like to hear a little bit about plan B.
00:14:29.960 For another time, I think.
00:14:36.340 Another time?
00:14:37.220 Yeah.
00:14:37.500 All right.
00:14:40.840 I – that's a nice tease.
00:14:44.480 All right.
00:14:45.020 So –
00:14:45.960 Is the Twitter deal dead?
00:14:49.740 Elon Musk seemed to suggest that it was, unless he can buy the company for a lower price in the light of what some are calling botgate.
00:14:59.160 Which erupted over the weekend.
00:15:01.420 This is from zerohedge.com.
00:15:04.260 Speaking at the All In Summit, Musk said that a viable deal for Twitter is not out of the question but at a lower price.
00:15:11.920 He also challenged the truth and accuracy of Twitter's public filings.
00:15:16.500 Zero Hedge tweeted,
00:15:17.300 Former President Trump also posted about this on his true social platform and wrote,
00:15:39.560 There is no way Elon Musk is going to buy Twitter at such a ridiculous price, especially since realizing it is a company largely based on bots or spam accounts.
00:15:50.100 Fake anyone.
00:15:51.500 By the time you get rid of them, if that can even be done, what do you have?
00:15:56.200 Not much.
00:15:57.340 If it weren't for the ridiculous billion-dollar breakup fee, Elon would have already been long gone.
00:16:02.480 Just my opinion, and of course he's saying, but truth social is much better than Twitter and is absolutely exploding and credible engagement.
00:16:09.540 Do have to admit, all right, all right, you know, full disclosure, I've noticed that my personal engagement –
00:16:16.240 So I've got Twitter, Telegram, Getter, and truth social.
00:16:22.340 My truth social engagement is much higher than it was before now that Trump is back on the platform.
00:16:27.720 So definitely been exploding with Trump coming back on.
00:16:31.520 What did Musk say?
00:16:32.920 Musk stated, he speculated, that at a minimum, Twitter is 20% bots before asking rhetorically whether it was potentially 80% to 90% bots.
00:16:43.320 What does this all get into?
00:16:44.780 What does this all get into?
00:16:46.000 This is what Bannon was talking about a couple of weeks ago.
00:16:49.400 He said, Elon pulled the deal, and he got so much flack for that.
00:16:53.500 People were saying, that's crazy.
00:16:55.460 Elon needs to buy this.
00:16:56.640 This is the last bastion of freedom of speech.
00:16:58.240 It is the last bastion of freedom of speech right now.
00:17:00.560 But they were saying, Bannon, this is crazy.
00:17:03.200 You know, why would you ever let this guy near this?
00:17:05.460 But here's the problem.
00:17:06.960 The problem is Elon is now under the hood of this thing.
00:17:11.940 He's doing his due diligence.
00:17:14.360 He's looking into this number by number, and he's going back to these guys saying, hey, your numbers don't add up.
00:17:21.940 You claimed to have a certain amount of monthly users, and you're not hitting it, or 20% of it might actually be bots.
00:17:30.420 Now then, if you lied about that and misrepresented it in terms of the deal, if you misrepresented it to your shareholders, if you misrepresented it to your advertisers, there's a word for what that is.
00:17:46.940 That's called fraud, and that means you are personally liable at the board and the entire C-suite of this thing.
00:17:57.820 Not only are you going to get sued, but there might be SEC action following it depending on the scale of the fraud.
00:18:06.920 Is Twitter running a Bernie Madoff operation?
00:18:11.140 Time will tell.
00:18:13.120 But for the time being, it looks like what Bannon said was 100% right.
00:18:21.100 Twitter is massively overvalued.
00:18:23.320 Their stock price was overvalued.
00:18:25.140 And he is pumping the brakes on this because he's finding out the truth.
00:18:31.560 Twitter does not do it on Facebook.
00:18:34.200 What do you want?
00:18:35.340 Facebook.
00:18:35.900 We're capitalists.
00:18:37.000 We weren't really operating like capitalists more.
00:18:39.700 We were very socialists.
00:18:40.780 We're all like, call me a s***.
00:18:44.080 Ideologically, it does not make sense because we're actually censoring the right and not the left.
00:18:50.000 Project Veritas has done it again.
00:18:51.720 You know, James O'Keefe actually called me yesterday.
00:18:53.860 He said, Poso, I've got this massive story.
00:18:56.640 I need you to tweet it out because we're banned everywhere.
00:18:59.880 But you're still up.
00:19:01.340 Get this story.
00:19:02.020 I said, what's the story, James?
00:19:03.280 He said, we've got this guy inside Twitter right at the moment of all of this that's going on with Elon, when they're looking at all this stuff, when they're having these questions about freedom of speech, about censorship.
00:19:14.040 I said, James, tweet it right away.
00:19:16.260 And I did.
00:19:18.220 What do we get?
00:19:19.280 Daily Mail has the write-up.
00:19:20.860 Twitter does not believe in free speech.
00:19:23.700 An undercover recording reveals Twitter engineers saying that the platform censors the right but not the left.
00:19:29.820 Everyone who works there is commie and they hate Elon Musk.
00:19:35.840 What's going on here?
00:19:37.060 By the way, this is a senior engineer.
00:19:39.340 He said, many employees were angry and worried about Elon Musk's takeover of the company and said they did all they could to revolt against it.
00:19:49.060 Right?
00:19:49.480 The Twitter operates an extremely left-wing, lax culture where people could take time off whenever they wanted and not worry about profit.
00:19:56.840 Right?
00:19:57.060 I'm just going to step back here for a second.
00:19:59.860 I'm going to step back here for a second.
00:20:01.360 This is what we always said.
00:20:04.520 Twitter does not have the same kind of business model as a regular company because they're not selling a product the same way a regular company would.
00:20:14.580 What they're doing is they were operating as a distribution platform and censorship platform for the left-wing in America.
00:20:24.760 Their job is to set narratives and to prevent narratives.
00:20:30.500 What do I mean by that?
00:20:31.320 So when a narrative comes out, let's say Project Veritas, great example, breaks a story.
00:20:37.580 Trends on Twitter gets millions of views.
00:20:40.200 Let's say Human Events Daily breaks a story.
00:20:41.920 Trends gets millions of views.
00:20:43.180 But then suddenly they decide or, of course, the great Emma Jo Morris posts the first story.
00:20:51.360 New York Post gets the scoop on it from the Hunter Biden laptop.
00:20:55.940 Twitter decides to censor it and censor anyone who tweeted it out and censor anyone who had material from it.
00:21:02.260 Why?
00:21:02.620 Because they said it was hacked.
00:21:03.680 It wasn't hacked, but they decided it was.
00:21:05.540 That's been their role.
00:21:09.100 And that's how you get a guy like this operating on the inside of Twitter.
00:21:13.180 It's really not even that hard to understand.
00:21:15.960 They are doing exactly what you thought they were doing.
00:21:20.260 It doesn't just seem like they're a left-wing censorship and distribution platform.
00:21:24.920 That's exactly what they are.
00:21:26.840 And this guy's admitting it, right?
00:21:28.660 This guy's admitting it.
00:21:29.840 This may be one of the most important scoops that Project Veritas has ever done.
00:21:35.220 Why?
00:21:36.420 Because what did we just say in the last segment?
00:21:38.620 There's going to be lawsuits and potential SEC action taken against Twitter.
00:21:44.320 And now you've got a guy who's been recorded stating what goes on inside the culture of this company.
00:21:52.400 One thing that I want to drill into your heads as you watch Human Events Daily is this simple phrase.
00:21:59.840 It ain't what you know, it's what you can prove in court.
00:22:06.480 It ain't what you know, it's what you can prove in court.
00:22:10.920 And I'm not a lawyer, but I understand that.
00:22:14.940 Now, in these cases, they've just provided evidence for anybody going after Twitter of what's actually been going on behind the scenes, behind the curtain, under the hood.
00:22:28.080 So if you've got a beef with Twitter, now you might have evidence.
00:22:34.060 And that is it for all of the time that we have here, Human Events Daily today.
00:22:41.280 Remember, our promise, our oath, our solemn vow to you, be good, be brief, be gone.
00:22:45.620 Your homework for us.
00:22:46.520 Share this out with one, just one of your normie friends.
00:22:49.440 And you may be asking, you say, Poso, what's up with this background?
00:22:52.080 What's up with this green?
00:22:53.220 What's good?
00:22:53.520 Where are you right now in the world?
00:22:54.860 I'll give you a little hint.
00:22:57.560 I'm on an island right now that has the word emerald in one of its nicknames.
00:23:05.060 Maybe you can figure it out.
00:23:06.900 What did we talk about today?
00:23:08.640 The Durham cases are now going to trial.
00:23:12.120 Durham takes former Clinton attorney Michael Sussman to court.
00:23:15.080 Next, the Biden administration approving sending hundreds of U.S. special ops troops to Somalia.
00:23:21.140 Just don't call it an invasion.
00:23:22.400 Third, the latest in the Elon Musk Twitter deal.
00:23:26.180 Is it going to be on hold over Botgate?
00:23:28.660 And finally, Project Veritas new report.
00:23:30.680 Twitter does not believe in freedom of speech.
00:23:33.960 Incredible news this week is going to be insane.
00:23:37.260 And remember, only five days left until the World Economic Forum and the WHO Assembly begin.
00:23:43.820 One in Davos, Switzerland, and one in Geneva, Switzerland.
00:23:47.120 This is going to be the centerpiece, the cornerstone of the globalist agenda for the next 30 years.
00:23:56.480 But before we go, it's time for today's history break.
00:23:58.900 Today in 1996, President Bill Clinton signed Megan's Law, which requires that law enforcement officials notify local schools, daycare centers, and residents of the presence of registered sex offenders in their communities.
00:24:14.840 We need to understand who is in these areas.
00:24:18.480 We've got to know who's in our families.
00:24:20.240 Look, when I moved with my family, that's one of the first things I went to check.
00:24:23.560 I went to check that registry.
00:24:24.700 I want to know everybody in that neighborhood.
00:24:26.640 I want to know who did what.
00:24:28.000 I want to know where they are.
00:24:29.260 I want to know how to keep my children safe.
00:24:32.400 Because at the end of the day, that is what this is all about.
00:24:36.940 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
