Summary

In the wake of the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, a gunman opened fire in a public school and killed more than a dozen children. How did this happen? What was the response of the police? Did they do enough to stop the shooter? Was it enough to save the children inside the school? Did the police have enough time to do anything about it? Is it possible that the shooter was able to get in and out of the school before the shots were fired? Is this a true story or is it just the latest in a long line of mass shootings?

00:00:58.000 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard. Today's edition of Human Events Daily powered
00:01:03.460 by Turning Point USA. Today is May 27th, 2022. Aneno Domine coming to you audio only because we
00:01:10.800 are still on travel today here in Europe following the events of the World Economic Forum and the
00:01:16.820 World Health Organization Assembly, both in Davos and Geneva. Some of that audio that you might hear
00:01:22.640 in the background, well, that's because we're here live reporting from the field for you.
00:01:27.820 Today's top headlines. The Texas police lieutenant has stated that officers waited outside the Uvalde
00:01:35.340 school for over 40 minutes because they were worried about being shot. We're going to give
00:01:40.040 you the entire timeline on that. Next, leaked audio reveals the CCP's invasion plans for Taiwan,
00:01:46.760 or is it a ruse? Third, Kissinger urges Russia-Ukraine peace talks, but Ukraine is hitting back.
00:01:53.480 And finally, actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault of men
00:01:58.600 in the UK. All this and we're ahead, Human Events Daily.
00:02:01.740 So first up today, the story about the Texas police in Uvalde, Texas. Now, I think this is
00:02:19.860 something that has really captured the attention of our entire nation, people trying to make some
00:02:24.660 sense of this completely insane tragedy where a young madman went into a school
00:02:31.740 house in Texas. Targeted children. Executed children. And we have video of police officers
00:02:39.620 standing around outside and some of the officers, in fact, restraining parents and family members
00:02:47.300 who were trying to get inside to save their children. There's also a lot of conflicting
00:02:52.900 information about just who the officers were that were involved throughout this entire ordeal.
00:02:57.680 Some were local police. Yet we're also hearing that Border Patrol and now even
00:03:01.720 federal agents were involved in this situation. We need a full accounting and a full investigation
00:03:08.080 of what went on here. One of the latest headlines that I'm seeing out of Zero Hedge suggests that
00:03:14.480 the shooter was outside firing for up to 12 minutes. That's outside the school before he even
00:03:22.820 entered. How does this happen? How does the school not go on complete lockdown when you hear gunshots
00:03:28.560 like that just outside? Next, we also heard that a mother trying to save her children was
00:03:34.640 handcuffed by federal marshals. She broke free, was able to get out because a local police officer
00:03:41.320 had let her out. She ran in and was able to save her children. Of course, also hearing this
00:03:46.840 heartbreaking story of one of the husbands, the husband of the teacher who died saving children,
00:03:53.640 who died sacrificing herself, throwing herself, we're hearing reports now that she threw herself
00:03:59.980 in front of the oncoming bullet fire to defend the children. Her husband died of a heart attack
00:04:08.000 the day later. They had four children. So many families have been ripped apart by this event.
00:04:13.780 But let's go back to this timeline. Now, the internet has done a pretty good job of piecing together
00:04:19.640 what they can of the timeline because the authorities just simply won't do this. And by the way, I'll
00:04:25.980 explain to you why that is. The reason the authorities are not putting out an official
00:04:29.840 quote-unquote timeline is because they are still getting the official timeline straight, which means
00:04:34.840 they're still getting their stories straight in terms of all of this. So here's what we've got so far.
00:04:42.140 And of course, this is all subject to change because we don't know all the information yet. But from what
00:04:47.920 we've been able to put together, the first 911 call comes in at 1130. At 1140, the shooter enters the
00:04:54.880 school. At 1144, the Uvalde police and sheriff's department officers enter the school, take fire,
00:05:02.860 retreat, and request backup. At 1154, one of the parents, Angel Ledesma, started a Facebook live video.
00:05:11.480 That video lasts for a full hour. It'll be interesting to see if Facebook allows it to stay up.
00:05:17.320 Finally, then at 1244, the Bortak tactical team entered and killed the suspect. That means for a
00:05:25.540 majority of this time, 40 to 50 minutes, according to this timeline, that we've been able to cobble
00:05:31.160 together, it doesn't seem like there was any engagement of this shooter for all that time. And all that
00:05:40.080 time that those family members were desperately trying to get in, trying to save their kids,
00:05:45.700 begging to the officers to go in and do something. Turned around, got pepper sprayed in one case,
00:05:52.920 detained. One mother put in, a mother put in handcuffs in Texas while a madman was inside a schoolhouse
00:06:03.840 targeting her children. Something has gone deeply, deeply wrong in our society. Something has gone wrong
00:06:12.380 with the social contract. This is, it's about the police, but it's bigger than just the police. And I
00:06:18.600 want to be very clear about that. Be very clear about that. But something has fundamentally gone wrong
00:06:24.480 in our society. Now for me, I view it simply as this. We've forgotten about God. We forgot about God.
00:06:33.700 We forgot about our obligations to one another. We forgot about doing the right thing. Even if we
00:06:42.100 don't have official approval or official permission, you need to go and do the right thing when it's time
00:06:50.620 to do the right thing. Any member of those officers would be hero, hailed throughout the country now.
00:06:56.740 But instead, the entire country is looking at them, asking what went wrong? And why were you
00:07:04.300 enforcing the law against parents of the victims rather than the criminal himself, the madman inside?
00:07:16.260 Texas Governor Abbott, he needs immediately to launch a statewide review. Because we've also heard,
00:07:23.500 by the way, the Biden administration has come out, talk about a red flag, the Biden administration has
00:07:28.400 come out and said they won't be launching an investigation of what happened there. How does
00:07:32.820 that make any sense? That's your clue. That's your big red flag right there. The Biden administration
00:07:38.000 saying that they won't be conducting investigation. Well, first of all, that's got to get overturned.
00:07:43.140 And second of all, Governor Greg Abbott, it's time to get a move on. It's time to pick up the phone,
00:07:49.080 hold a press conference, whatever you have to do, sir. Series of tweets, sign it off. Full investigation
00:07:55.500 now. We need to fix our society. It doesn't have to be this way. But it took decisions
00:08:04.500 upon decisions to get us here. And it will take work to get us out of this.
00:08:11.040 So I've been over here in Europe with Tanya, been having a great time doing a lot of work,
00:08:18.580 a lot of reporting. But one thing that we keep talking about is what are we going to order next
00:08:24.340 for our good ranchers case? And I think I've got it figured out. I think I've got it figured out
00:08:28.740 because I've got to tell you, we've been eating this European food, but I really love, I just can't
00:08:32.560 wait to get home and sick my teeth into the prime and upper choice quality beef. This is steakhouse
00:08:41.400 quality. It's beef, chicken, and seafood. And it's all, guess what? 100% American meat. You can't
00:08:46.920 get that in Europe. You just can't. The ribeyes, the T-bones, the New York strips, they don't have
00:08:50.720 them here. They've got stuff in Europe, but folks, it just ain't the same. It really just ain't the
00:08:54.720 same. I'm talking about the signature steak burgers, the Wagyu burgers, packed full of additional
00:09:00.620 flavor. Pre-trimmed, pre-marinated chicken breasts. They are so delicious and easy to
00:09:05.720 prepare. Actually, quite frankly, they're better than organic. You get this delivered directly to
00:09:10.040 you. And by the way, if you use promo code POSO, and we have the link in the description. I'm going
00:09:15.880 to talk to the producers. I'm going to make sure they get the link in the description. They always
00:09:19.520 do. They always do. They do a great job. GoodRanchers.com slash POSO. When you use promo code POSO here,
00:09:26.200 you get free express shipping on your Good Ranchers package. So make sure that you utilize
00:09:31.700 this offer. You get the package. You get it sent directly to you. Trust me, you are going to love
00:09:36.700 it. Good Ranchers, American meat delivered. The link is in the description. Based on the indicators
00:09:44.240 available to the intelligence community, do you agree that the threat to Taiwan is acute between now
00:09:49.240 and 2030? Yes. I think it's fair to say that it's critical or acute between now and 2030. I think
00:09:57.100 that's absolutely fair. What is hard to tell is how, for example, whatever lessons China learns coming
00:10:03.900 out of the Russia-Ukraine crisis might affect that timeline, as well as, as you indicated, whether or
00:10:09.280 not our capabilities, Taiwan's capabilities, other decisions that will have to be made between now and
00:10:14.200 then that will affect the timeline. It's our view that they are working hard to effectively put
00:10:22.780 themselves into a position in which their military is capable of taking Taiwan over our intervention.
00:10:29.640 But I think that is something that they are trying to achieve, even as what General Barrier stated
00:10:34.280 earlier is true, which is to say that they would prefer not to have to use military force to take
00:10:39.720 Taiwan. They'd prefer to use other means. Well, new leaked audio has come out of the CCP
00:10:44.780 purporting to reveal China's plan to invade Taiwan. Of course, this would be predominantly
00:10:51.020 a naval amphibious landing. However, I want to be very clear about something because I've seen a lot
00:10:56.380 of people talk about this. A lot of people say, oh, this is exactly what's going to happen. They're
00:11:00.440 letting us know. Keep in mind that there are always various attack plans or what's known as
00:11:05.380 operational plans in the U.S. Department of Defense that are on the shelf. This is something
00:11:10.240 that when I was in the intelligence community that we studied. We guess what? We've got attack
00:11:14.520 plans for Iran. We've got attack plans for Russia. We've got attack plans for North Korea. And you
00:11:18.980 better believe we have attack plans for China on the shelf. Just because you are discussing one of
00:11:24.260 them does not mean you are planning to put one of them into effect. And we certainly do have one on
00:11:30.000 the books for a Taiwan invasion scenario because, of course, that would be the most likely kinetic
00:11:36.240 engagement in East Asia vis-a-vis China. However, it's rapidly approaching that the South China Sea
00:11:44.700 might also be one of these engagements. So what I mean to say is militaries around the world are
00:11:50.380 constantly working on these types of plans. Why? Because that's what the military is for. You are
00:11:56.220 planning for whatever might be the next potential great power or soft power target. Right. Target
00:12:03.880 set. Whether it be a transnational criminal organization, transnational terrorist organization,
00:12:07.960 drug enforcement, whatever type of operation you're doing or you're going to be conducting,
00:12:12.400 you want to plan ahead. So in this clip, the CCP, specifically the People's Liberation Army and Navy,
00:12:18.900 are talking about 140,000 soldiers and 953 ships. This would be a full invasion scenario.
00:12:26.220 Right. This would be if China was planning to go all the way in. Now, one thing that I've argued
00:12:31.040 for in the past is that really the CCP might not even need to do a full on amphibious assault of Taiwan
00:12:39.720 because keep in mind, they want to control Taiwan. They want to own Taiwan. They don't want to have to
00:12:46.600 rebuild Taiwan and they certainly don't want to have to invade, slaughter thousands and thousands of people,
00:12:54.000 set the entire island on fire and then come in and act as if they're welcome to some sort of
00:12:59.100 liberator. So what's more likely, I still think, or I should at least say potentially likely,
00:13:05.280 is that China comes in with a blockade. You set up a blockade of Taiwan and you keep that you that
00:13:13.240 would essentially pit you against the U.S. Navy. And then you would say, come and try us. Come and try us.
00:13:19.280 Don't fire a shot, but blockade the entire island. Prevent. And that would include air, by the way.
00:13:26.320 So prevent. Lock down the airspace. They would essentially be the ones shutting down the airspace
00:13:31.480 or at least as much of it as possible. And then say to any allied aircraft or any aircraft from
00:13:37.640 outside, from the West, if you come in, we will fire. Right. Then the ball would be in the court
00:13:43.700 of the United States. The ball would be in the court of the Biden regime. What would they do? I argue
00:13:49.700 that in a blockade scenario, the Biden administration backs down. I don't see them. I don't see them doing
00:13:57.800 other. Sure, they'll send the Navy out. They'll go. They'll look at them face to face, but they won't
00:14:03.060 break it. They won't cross it. The Biden administration is not willing to do so. And eventually then it would
00:14:10.280 be a siege. You would see a siege tactics used against the entire island. Look, you don't believe
00:14:16.820 me, right? They're doing the same thing to their own people right now in Shanghai. The exact same
00:14:22.800 thing. They're starving them out. They're turning it into an open prison of 29 million people. You
00:14:28.260 don't think they would do that to the island of Taiwan? Get real. They'd do it and they would do it
00:14:33.200 in a second. That's how the CCP thinks. They realize that would be much cheaper than a full
00:14:39.940 on invasion, full on amphibious assault. And of course, the military wants to do that because
00:14:43.420 the military always wants to use the military to solve problems. But in an effective blockade
00:14:47.840 scenario, it would be very, very hard, very, very hard to for the people in Taiwan over time
00:14:56.500 to be able to fight back.
00:15:01.040 What? How do you react to that?
00:15:03.240 F*** you, Lovarov.
00:15:06.440 That's a pretty clear answer.
00:15:08.320 And since, of course, we're talking about great power conflict and the decline of American
00:15:12.940 society, we, of course, have to turn our attention to Eurasia. What is going on right now in the
00:15:18.880 killing fields, the bloodlands of the Donbass, Donetsk, Lugansk, these provinces were the encirclement
00:15:26.380 operations of the Russian military fighting back and forth with the Ukrainian front in the
00:15:33.140 trenches. You've got trench warfare versus artillery warfare right now. Long range weapons being used by
00:15:40.120 the Russians. It is a dire situation. And yet more materiel is coming out from the West, more
00:15:47.680 artillery, some longer range equipment. But at the same time, as we've seen again and again,
00:15:53.060 the equipment that is sent over by the Western nations to the Ukrainians seems to be the least
00:15:59.580 amount of stuff or the least capable stuff, the oldest stuff, equipment that's rapidly becoming
00:16:06.000 obsolete, rusty whistles. This is the situation that we're in. Kissinger came out this week and made a
00:16:15.620 huge statement at the World Economic Forum. Nobody expected him to say this, by the way. Kissinger is
00:16:20.960 usually seen as something of a warmonger. But Kissinger comes out at the World Economic Forum
00:16:24.920 and says it's time for Ukraine to sue for peace against Russia and then said even at the expense
00:16:32.520 of ceding territory. Now, I noticed I mentioned that on Twitter the other day and there were some
00:16:37.360 people who said, well, you know, does that mean ceding territory back to the February 24th status quo,
00:16:42.600 the status quo pro ante, or does that mean going further? Well, what it means, it depends on who
00:16:48.220 you ask, right? Because to the Ukrainian government currently, they view ceding Crimea and Donbass as
00:16:55.540 ceding territory. They have not stated, they have stated they will not accept that, which means,
00:17:00.400 of course, the fighting goes on. Now, the responses come back from Ukraine. And as you can be expected,
00:17:07.540 you've got Ukrainian MPs, Ukrainian government officials cursing out Kissinger, cursing out
00:17:16.020 Lavrov, saying one of the main statements that we've seen here is, I think Kissinger lives in the
00:17:24.080 20th century and we are in the 21st century and we are not going to give up any inch of our territory.
00:17:31.540 That's from a Ukrainian MP, Goncharenko. So obviously, as you can see, this is a very complex
00:17:39.760 and contentious situation. You have on one side, the power of the Russian state, a resurgent CSTO,
00:17:47.080 that's Russia and their allies in Central Asia, and of course, partnering with the CCP. Now,
00:17:52.580 it's very interesting to me to look at in this situation is that the CCP seems to be partners
00:17:57.460 with both sides. Well, what do you mean, do I say? The CCP, of course, isn't providing arms to the
00:18:03.180 Ukrainians. You do see Turkey supplying the Bayraktar drones, armed drones, missile drones, guided
00:18:09.600 missile drones to the Ukrainians, but you don't see China supplying weapons. However, you do see China,
00:18:15.840 of course, not participating in the sanctions with Russia. Then, on the other side, though, you see China
00:18:22.640 completely in bed with the elites of the West when it comes to the World Economic Forum in Davos. I was
00:18:28.280 just there. It just ended yesterday. The CCP was everywhere. And guess what word? Guess what word
00:18:34.720 you did not hear once during the entire World Economic Forum? It was the word Taiwan, the island
00:18:42.000 nation of Taiwan. It wasn't mentioned. It wasn't even talked about. Ukraine was everywhere, all over,
00:18:48.860 as it should be. Yet, when it comes to Taiwan, when it comes to the island and the people there and the
00:18:56.840 threat faced by the CCP, it's as if they don't even exist. And why is that? It's quite simple.
00:19:03.180 Because the West is in an economic relationship with China and China is in a military relationship
00:19:10.720 with Russia, military and economic. Now, this is the issue. This is the great issue going forward.
00:19:17.720 How does it make sense for us? And this was something, by the way, that President Trump
00:19:22.680 understood. He understood it completely. That if you wish, if you wish to diminish the CCP's malign
00:19:31.640 influence in the world as our greatest threat, and this is something that Kissinger spoke about as
00:19:37.420 well, you need to isolate them economically. What does that mean in practice? It means tariffs.
00:19:44.980 It means cutting off the symbiotic and conjoined relationship between the American Chamber of
00:19:52.020 Commerce, American Wall Street, and the People's Republic of China. Does that mean economic pain
00:19:59.000 in the short term, in the near term? Does that mean that you're not going to be able to go buy cheap,
00:20:04.820 you know, knockoff brand televisions at Walmart anymore? It might. It absolutely might.
00:20:11.320 But you know what? You can get your country back. You can get your country back. You need to start
00:20:17.340 on-shoring manufacturing jobs, on-shoring sourcing and procurement. Because otherwise,
00:20:23.740 you will find yourself living either completely in debt, living in a tiny little box or a pod or a cube.
00:20:33.180 And sure, you'll have your big screen TV that was made in China. But look at where your standard
00:20:38.440 of living will be. Look at the standard of living that has been diminished throughout the United
00:20:45.860 States since the era of globalization took form. Now, I don't mean for the elites. I mean for the
00:20:51.900 normals. I mean for everybody else. Because I got to tell you guys, I've been in Europe now.
00:20:58.080 I've been covering. We did CPAC Hungary. We did Davos. We did Geneva. Went through Zurich.
00:21:06.320 The average person in Europe does not live like the average person in America.
00:21:10.480 So you better wake up. And you better wake up fast. Because the American standard of living
00:21:15.400 is rapidly falling compared to the rest of the world. And you got people in government,
00:21:21.160 and you got people in the corporate mainstream media that don't even want to talk about it.
00:21:25.960 But what will they do? They'll send $40 billion over to the war effort in Ukraine.
00:21:30.460 They won't spend money on defending our schools, defending our children. No, no money for that.
00:21:37.680 Or certainly not $40 billion at the crack of a hat. No, instead, instead, we live with the situation
00:21:45.220 we get. And as I said before, folks, it doesn't have to be like this. We made it here because of
00:21:53.220 decisions. And if we make the right decisions, we can get out.
00:21:59.260 I've been surprised by all of it. And I've been very gratified by the response that I've gotten
00:22:04.940 from so many people. I hope that everyone who's dealing with these sorts of situations does feel
00:22:12.080 the courage to come forward. I think that all of this is an important step to help dismantle the
00:22:18.780 machinery that allowed this sort of thing to continue. And finally today, certainly one of
00:22:22.420 the craziest stories that we've seen in recent times, but maybe, just maybe, crazy stories are
00:22:28.500 starting to become the norm. Kevin Spacey, the actor, charged with sexual assault of three men in
00:22:35.100 the United Kingdom. We have the story from the New York Post. Kevin Spacey was charged in the UK
00:22:39.080 with four counts of sexual assault against three men on Thursday as he appeared in a Manhattan court
00:22:43.640 to testify in a separate sex assault lawsuit brought against him in New York. The two-time
00:22:48.300 Oscar winner, 62, has been hit with the charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity
00:22:54.500 without consent, the Crown Prosecutor's Service said. The alleged incidents took place in London
00:22:59.880 between March 2005 and August 2008 and somewhere in Western England in April 2013. The alleged victims
00:23:07.320 are now in their 30s and 40s. The UK charges stem from a probe of evidence gathered by the
00:23:13.920 Metropolitan Police. News of the criminal charges were announced as the American Beauty Star appeared
00:23:19.640 in that courtroom in the civil suit against them. Of course, he's been declining. He is not responding
00:23:24.080 to any of the statements on this. And what's interesting, folks, if you go back to 2016,
00:23:30.180 if you go back to 2016, what did they say? They said that Kevin Spacey was the king of Davos.
00:23:39.040 And this is what they do. These are the elites. This is how they use their power.
00:23:46.720 They feel that the rules don't apply to them. But then when one of them becomes not useful anymore,
00:23:53.780 when one of them becomes tainted, when one of them becomes disgraced, well, then you throw the book,
00:23:58.220 then you throw the book at them and you prop up new elites. Keep in mind that Kevin Spacey knows a lot
00:24:05.960 about the rings that go on in Hollywood, about the way the Hollywood system is used to prey on young
00:24:13.760 men and women who are trying to get into the industry. And it's the same story you'd hear from
00:24:19.520 Harvey Weinstein, right? And I'm not speaking in specifics of this case. I'm just talking in
00:24:23.780 generalities. But it's that idea of, come on, you want this part, right? It's only a couple of
00:24:30.300 minutes. You'll be fine. And then you'll get the part. And then you'll get to be a star. Everybody
00:24:35.700 does it. It's no big deal. These are the types of predatory behaviors that we've seen again and
00:24:44.460 again in so many of these cases through Hollywood. Now, believe it or not, the other case that's going
00:24:49.660 on in Hollywood right now is Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. And in that sense, in that situation,
00:24:56.000 it seems as though all the evidence that we've seen now, obviously not any sexual abuse or sexual
00:25:03.100 assault that we've heard of or have seen any evidence of, but what we have seen are multiple
00:25:11.320 evidences, multiple counts of evidence against Amber Heard at times when she even admitted writing
00:25:17.980 the op-ed against Johnny Depp. What do I mean to say about all this, folks? Hollywood is a sick
00:25:24.980 place. These people are sick. We need to stop propping them up. We need to go back to a time
00:25:31.600 long ago when we used to consider actors and acting as an unseemly profession.
00:25:40.240 I don't think the profession ever changed. It was only our view of it. And the same, by the way,
00:25:44.820 auto-apply to journalists in the mainstream media, an unseemly profession. They're not interested
00:25:52.340 in propping anyone up. They're only interested in tearing people down.
00:25:58.820 And that is all the time we have today, Human Events Daily. That actually wraps up this week of
00:26:04.220 us reporting live from all across Europe this week from the World Economic Forum, the World Health
00:26:10.760 Organization. We are here live giving you the on-the-ground reporting as to what's going on.
00:26:16.880 I know there's some audio in the background, but that's what happens when you go out into the field.
00:26:21.160 We here on Human Events Daily, we get out of the studio and we go into the real world.
00:26:25.280 What did we talk about today? Texas police lieutenant saying officers waited because they were worried
00:26:30.340 about being shot. We talked about the leaked audio revealing the CCP's plan to invade Taiwan.
00:26:35.620 Talked about Kissinger urging Russia-Ukraine peace talks and Ukraine hitting back.
00:26:39.660 And finally, Kevin Spacey being charged in the UK with four counts of sexual assault.
00:26:44.980 Remember, our promise, our oath, our solemn vow to you. Be good, be brief, be gone.
00:26:49.420 Your homework for us. Share this out with one, just one of your normie friends and leave us your
00:26:54.020 five-star review, Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your politics. But before we go, it's time for
00:27:00.480 today's moment of history. Today, May 27th, 1916. I don't know, Domine. President Woodrow Wilson,
00:27:09.260 who I've said is the grandfather of globalism, addressed the League to Enforce Peace, founded
00:27:15.600 in 1915 and giving public support to the idea of a League of Nations. The World Health Organization
00:27:23.300 is holding their international assembly in the League of Nations building, which is now controlled
00:27:28.960 by the United Nations. Don't you guys get it? The names change, but the agenda stays the same.
00:27:36.680 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
