00:00:25.820 The Poso Daily Brief.
00:00:26.680 This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
00:00:36.840 A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.
00:00:43.460 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.
00:00:46.580 Christ is king.
00:00:47.640 Breaking news out of India.
00:00:49.400 A devastating plane crash.
00:00:51.720 242 people on board.
00:00:53.700 That plane was bound for London, and it crashed shortly after takeoff today.
00:00:58.980 According to the police commissioner in India, it appears there are no survivors.
00:01:03.800 Trump says he plans to phase out FEMA, shifting disaster response to the states after this hurricane season.
00:01:10.140 Another night with a curfew in effect in downtown Los Angeles.
00:01:13.440 As protests against the Trump administration, immigration raids now enter a seventh day.
00:01:20.520 Local leaders argue the president's decision to deploy the military is igniting fears and surging tensions.
00:01:27.440 Federal officials expect another 2,000 guard troops will mobilize today, joining 2,000 already deployed and about 700 Marines.
00:01:36.200 The L.A. protests are inspiring similar demonstrations in other cities like New York, Seattle, and Minneapolis.
00:01:43.600 Can you provide an update on Iran?
00:01:45.420 We're hearing reports that U.S. personnel are being moved out of the region within striking distance.
00:01:50.440 Well, they are being moved out because it could be a dangerous place.
00:01:53.680 Earlier this week, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran had not been cooperating with the organization
00:01:59.460 and that the agency could not certify Iran's program as peaceful.
00:02:04.480 President, how imminent is an Israeli strike on Iran?
00:02:08.580 Well, I don't want to say imminent, but it looks like it's something that could very well happen.
00:02:14.080 Look, it's very simple, not complicated.
00:02:17.420 Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
00:02:22.300 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition, Human Events Daily here live, Washington, D.C.
00:02:29.000 Today is June 12th, 2025.
00:02:31.080 I know, Dominic, two days away from the Army's 250th birthday parade here in Washington, D.C.
00:02:38.480 But is the U.S. military being drawn into another war overseas?
00:02:44.600 Perhaps another proxy war, just like the war in Ukraine is a proxy war against Russia.
00:02:51.160 Would this be backing for a proxy war against Iran?
00:02:55.540 And there's been a number of reports now coming out, the U.S. evacuating key personnel, key
00:03:03.180 establishments across the Middle East, the U.S. coming out and saying that a strike is potentially
00:03:10.440 imminent from Israel on Iran, which, of course, the United States would ultimately have to pay
00:03:16.680 the bill for. And the United States would certainly be left on the hook for the bill regarding a war
00:03:25.440 with Iran. All of this takes place as negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are continuing.
00:03:34.240 And in fact, Steve Whitcoff is going to be meeting with the Iranians this Sunday, as far as we know.
00:03:39.800 So the question is, what's driving this? If we're having negotiations, have the negotiations.
00:03:45.780 Let Whit, let Whitcoff cook. Let him do the job that President Trump assigned to him.
00:03:50.860 And remember, when President Trump went to those rallies in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan,
00:03:57.940 and I was there with him in all three of those states last year, he campaigned against new wars.
00:04:04.600 He campaigned as the peace president, a president whose legacy would be world peace, a president who
00:04:13.040 understood that the true value of America was the American people and putting the issues of the
00:04:20.920 homeland first. That's what America first is all about. And right now, folks, we have so much momentum
00:04:28.900 on the deportation issue. We have so much momentum on the immigration issue. By the way, by the way,
00:04:36.020 it's repatriation. We're going to call it repatriation. Operation Homeward Bound. No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:04:42.680 We're not removing people. We're helping these wayward migrants find their way home. And that's been the
00:04:51.320 issue all along. They're lost strangers in a strange land. We're going to help them get home. It's the
00:04:58.700 Christian thing to do. They ended up here for a variety of reasons. We're not going to go into
00:05:04.740 all that. But what we're going to do is get them a plane ticket, maybe even pay for the flight
00:05:09.640 themselves, put them on that plane, and get them right back where they belong. Be right back. Jack
00:05:14.660 is over. To understand what America first truly means. Welcome to the second American revolution.
00:05:30.200 All right, folks. Jack Posobiec here back live. Human Events Daily. Real America's Voice also
00:05:47.540 want to bring in the Salem Radio Network now with our three Charlie Kirk show. And we've got a very
00:05:57.020 special treat for everyone here. We have the, well, it's an interesting day today because there's some
00:06:04.960 news. But we have right now the Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice, Aaron Reitz,
00:06:11.380 who's joining us. But he's got a little bit of news today regarding that very title. Aaron,
00:06:17.060 thanks so much for joining us. Thanks for having me, Jack.
00:06:20.460 All right. All right. So break it down for us. You announced this a little bit earlier today.
00:06:26.580 What's the news? Yeah. So last night I submitted my resignation to the President of the United States
00:06:33.780 and the Attorney General in my position as Assistant Attorney General of the Office of Legal Policy
00:06:38.280 at the Justice Department. But it's not because I'm in retreat or moving on to something else that's
00:06:45.420 less significant for our country. But I'm stepping out today, effective today, and announcing my
00:06:51.420 candidacy as the next Texas Attorney General of Texas to succeed Ken Paxson.
00:06:59.240 Well, this is huge. Walk me through this a little bit because there's a bit of musical chairs going
00:07:05.040 on here because Ken Paxson is the current Attorney General of Texas, but he is expected to run in
00:07:11.720 primary as the Senate candidate against John Cornyn. Yeah. No, that's exactly right. Look,
00:07:18.600 Ken Paxson has been our great Attorney General for over a decade in Texas, and he's decided to throw
00:07:25.760 his hat in the ring to primary John Cornyn for the United States Senate, representing 31 million Texans,
00:07:31.560 which provides Texans with a unique opportunity that they haven't had in over a decade to introduce
00:07:38.860 or elect a new Texas AG. And I think that when Texans are looking at who ought to carry on Ken
00:07:45.180 Paxson's legacy, it's somebody who, like me, the president described as a true MAGA attorney and
00:07:52.700 a warrior for the Constitution. And the reason why he called me those things when he brought me to the
00:07:58.180 Justice Department is because of the three years that I spent fighting alongside Ken Paxson as his
00:08:03.380 deputy. And then the two years that I spent fighting alongside Senator Ted Cruz as his chief
00:08:08.080 of staff. And folks want to know, folks in Texas want to know, okay, if Ken Paxson is going to vacate
00:08:14.980 the AG seat, we want to make sure that we can turn the keys over to somebody who can handle an office
00:08:20.760 with that kind of horsepower. And I think when folks look at my background, the litigation,
00:08:26.660 lawsuits, appeals, defenses, investigations on all of the issues that Texans care about from
00:08:32.820 election integrity, border security, woke corporations, transing of the kids, environmental
00:08:39.620 overreach, I have borne battle scars on all of those issues. And so when Texans are looking for
00:08:45.940 somebody that they can trust, somebody that they can say, okay, this guy needs to be our next attorney
00:08:51.000 general to continue pressing in, pressing hard on the gas that Ken Paxson, on the course that he's put
00:08:56.440 us on, Aaron Reitz is the guy. And if you want to know more about me, your viewers can go to
00:09:01.000 aaronreitz.com, A-A-R-O-N-R-E-I-T-Z.com.
00:09:05.800 Well, Aaron, this is huge news. Congratulations on the candidacy. Have to ask you,
00:09:11.660 first and foremost, though, when it comes to the issue, illegal immigration. Obviously,
00:09:16.360 this is a huge issue for Texas. It's an issue where AG Paxson has stood in the breach. And it's
00:09:22.520 an issue that is really uniting, I think, a lot of Americans in the face of all of these riots that
00:09:29.060 we've been seeing kicked off in LA, then it spread to New York, it spread to Philadelphia. And in fact,
00:09:34.460 just last night, we saw Dallas and San Antonio had a level of violent riots as well. So response to
00:09:41.920 the riots in particular, and then a general response on illegal immigration in this issue.
00:09:47.120 Yeah, look, it's a great question. And it's an important issue. A lot of times people think
00:09:52.880 that the scenes that we've seen in Los Angeles couldn't possibly be happening in Texas. But as
00:09:59.400 you rightly said, and folks can just do an image search for the riots that are happening in Texas's
00:10:04.500 major cities, they'd be shocked to see that the roots of anti-American, insurrectionist,
00:10:11.960 pro-alien ideological rioting is happening right in the Lone Star state. You need an attorney general
00:10:20.580 who is going to help crack down on that sort of thing, who's going to make sure that the ideologies,
00:10:26.560 as well as the funding that provides the resources for these rioters, doesn't take root in Texas.
00:10:34.280 And once we identify them, we prosecute them, we investigate them, we expose them, we get them out
00:10:38.540 of the state. And the question more generally, though, of illegal immigration, I'm with you
00:10:44.580 during your opening monologue. I'd like to see mass repatriation of millions and millions and millions
00:10:52.140 of illegal aliens that have been invading our country in particular over the past four years,
00:10:57.260 but it's been a problem for decades. And so I love to see what this administration is doing
00:11:02.580 to identify, round up and deport or to repatriate those illegal aliens, just get them back home
00:11:09.900 where they ought to be. And the Texas attorney general plays a critical role in this. And I will
00:11:14.620 tell you, Jack, at the very beginning of the Biden administration, if it's any reflection of the
00:11:19.280 kind of AGLB on the issue of immigration, Ken Paxton and I partnered together for three years.
00:11:27.040 And out of the nearly 50 lawsuits that I brought with him during my time in the Texas AG's office,
00:11:34.240 nearly 20 of those 50 were on immigration and border security. We litigated on abuse of the parole
00:11:41.020 system, on abuse of the asylum system, canceling of border wall contracts, sanctuary cities,
00:11:47.880 and the list just keeps going on and on and on. I've been at the front lines of fighting illegal
00:11:53.860 immigration at the Texas AG's office before alongside Senator Cruz. And my commitment to
00:11:59.600 Texans moving forward is to continue to partner with this Trump administration to absolutely get
00:12:05.700 our country and our sovereignty and our border back under control. And you don't just have to take my
00:12:10.360 word for it. Texans just have to look at my record, which is in greater detail at my website,
00:12:14.960 AaronWrites.com. Aaron, yesterday we had a long discussion with the Congressman on Hipsy regarding
00:12:25.040 the cartels and this cartel activity. Obviously, as Attorney General, this is something that we know
00:12:30.740 that the cartels operate on both sides of the border. What is your policy on that? How would you
00:12:37.500 look to crack down on these cartels, the rat lines, the human trafficking, the fentanyl, which we know as
00:12:42.700 even as great as President Trump has done, a lot of this is still going on?
00:12:47.400 Yeah, no question. I mean, you use a critical term, Jack, on having control of both sides of
00:12:52.820 the border. I think a lot of Americans, we hear this term, the cartels have operational control of
00:12:57.320 the border. And they don't really fully visualize what that means. What that means is that ingress and
00:13:03.020 egress in and out of the country, whether you are moving for commercial purposes, you know,
00:13:08.680 quote-unquote legitimate commercial purposes or illicit purposes, drug trafficking, human trafficking,
00:13:14.200 sex trafficking, it means that you don't come in and you don't come out with the either express
00:13:19.500 or implied permission of the cartels. Now, these cartels have spread, their nodes have spread into
00:13:25.020 all of the major cities of Texas. So what the Attorney General can do is partner with aligned
00:13:32.340 sheriff departments and police departments to launch extremely invasive investigations into where these
00:13:40.180 cartel cells are taking root and then assist the local law enforcement in prosecuting these crimes.
00:13:48.040 The Attorney General also has tremendous civil discretion to investigate these non-profits that
00:13:54.460 are aiding and abetting the illegal invasion of our country. You know, all these nicely named
00:14:01.760 non-profits that are presenting themselves as just innocuous and humanitarian. These organizations
00:14:09.860 are taking Soros and Soros-adjacent money to assist the invasion of millions of illegal aliens,
00:14:17.840 and they want to pat themselves on the back for being forces of good, when in reality, they're forces
00:14:23.840 for evil. And you need an Attorney General who knows what he's doing, who can take the weapons of
00:14:30.500 legitimate statutes of law and common law to investigate them and root them out and hold
00:14:35.440 them to justice. Exactly. Aaron Wrights, we're just about out of time. Tell people where they can go
00:14:41.020 to follow you and to get more information as you continue this quest to make Texas great again.
00:14:47.720 Thank you, Jack. I think you ought to go to my website first and foremost, AaronWrites.com,
00:14:53.360 AaronWrites.com. Hit that contribute button because we've got to amass the resources to fight this war
00:14:58.660 that we're in. All right, folks, Aaron Wrights, repatriate the migrants. I love it. I love it. We'll be right back.
00:15:06.960 Hey, you know, they talk about influences. These are influences and they're friends of mine. Jack
00:15:28.940 Posobiec. Where's Jack? Jack? He's got a great job.

00:16:57.880 and text. That's PatriotMobile.com slash POSO or call 972PATRIOT. All right, folks, we put out earlier
00:17:05.960 today on X. The question, essentially, should the U.S. get involved in another war in the Middle East?
00:17:15.300 Should the U.S. back military action against Iran? 1776 at humanevents.com, 1776 at humanevents.com.
00:17:23.760 And I'll just read you some of the ones that we got. I have to jump to this one that came in from
00:17:28.740 Devin. It just really struck me. He said, on the topic of Iran, one of my first girlfriend's father
00:17:36.120 fled Iran when the Ayatollah took over. Her grandfather was close with the Shah, and because
00:17:41.320 of that, the Ayatollah kidnapped his children, so my girlfriend's father and uncles. They were
00:17:45.920 tortured for information, shot in the abdomen, and dumped in an alley to die. Three of them survived
00:17:50.800 and fled Germany to the U.S. The Ayatollah and radical Islam were the worst of the worst,
00:17:55.340 but we must focus on our homeland instead of going to war. The only people who will benefit
00:18:04.000 from a war with Iran are BlackRock and the military-industrial complex, definitely not
00:18:09.500 the American people. Also got an email from Lance in Texas. President Trump was elected twice on a
00:18:17.000 mandate to force out the neocon war hawks that had subjected Americans to endless war and
00:18:22.140 interventionism. Provoking a war with Iran would be a betrayal of that mandate. We cannot allow the
00:18:27.140 political goals of other regions to drag us into a conflict that will bring continued instability
00:18:32.960 to the world and more heartbreak at home. I can tell you that a major reason for Gen Z's dramatic
00:18:38.660 shift to the right was that we sought a return to the peace of President Trump's first term.
00:18:44.140 Blessed are the peacemakers. And he says he's a pro-Trump Gen Z conservative. Here's an email from Mike.
00:18:52.460 I'm totally against the U.S. being involved or backing other countries in efforts against war on Iran.
00:18:58.080 If these countries want war with Iran, they can have it without our assistance. If Trump decides to go
00:19:02.800 to war with Iran, he will lose my support, as does JD. Here's an email from Nick.
00:19:07.640 No intervention in Iran. All caps. I am a Republican and do not support any sort of in our inter any sort
00:19:15.240 of intervention. People have been claiming Iran is about to have a bomb for over 30 years. Why do we
00:19:21.920 believe them at this point? And and that's true, by the way, the intelligence community has continually
00:19:27.520 assessed that Iran has not restarted their weapons of mass destruction program. Here's another another
00:19:33.720 email. Hey, Jack, this is from Dean. I'm a Trump supporter since the escalator. No one in the Banga
00:19:39.420 movement wants war with Iran. That's why Trump himself sidestepped the Israelis and focused on a
00:19:45.900 deal with Iran. However, Iran has to accept Trump's olive branch and give up its uranium enrichment.
00:19:52.720 This helps the Middle East have a sense of peace. Trump is trying. The Iranians should help him in his
00:19:58.100 bid to bring peace, not waste time. Well, one of the latest updates that we have is that the
00:20:03.280 peace talks will be continuing this weekend. Steve Whitcoff will be meeting as it is planning to
00:20:08.920 meet with Iran this Sunday and has also put out statements and there's reports now coming out
00:20:14.220 that Whitcoff has stated that there would be mass casualties to the U.S. and the U.S. currently has
00:20:21.360 40 to 50,000 troops and personnel assigned throughout the Middle East and that there would be mass
00:20:28.160 casualties in any response from Iran to retaliate on these strikes, whether by U.S. or a U.S. proxy
00:20:35.700 in the region. Look, folks, that's what I've been saying. I said this on Charlie Kirk's show earlier
00:20:41.420 and hour one that the U.S. is going to be on the hook for the bill of this, whether we like it
00:20:47.700 or not. That's why I keep saying back Whitcoff, back the negotiations, let the man cook. After
00:20:55.400 all, this is what President Trump was elected for. Peace is the prize. You want a legacy of
00:21:01.700 peace rather than a legacy of war? We'll be right back. Jack, I want to see you.
00:21:21.240 Great job, Jack. Thank you. What a job you do. You know, we have an incredible thing. We're always
00:21:26.500 talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys and these are the guys who'll be getting
00:21:31.440 policies. All right, folks, Jack was so big. Here we are back. Human events daily, Washington, D.C. But
00:21:41.940 of course, we're talking about the events of California and how all of this anti-ice rioting
00:21:49.620 has descended into abject violence, chaos. I'm not going to call it anarchy, though, because it's
00:21:56.480 anarcho-tyranny. It's anarcho-tyranny because this is a tactic. It is a destabilization tactic used
00:22:04.120 to shake the foundations of our civilization and shake the foundations of the state of California,
00:22:09.240 a state which, by the way, is a fantastic and has been for years and centuries, an incredible
00:22:16.140 place to live. It has only been through recent years and these destabilizations that have made it
00:22:23.260 what it is today. New author is out with a book called Failed State, all about California and
00:22:31.240 these issues. His name is Chris Moritz, and he joins us now. Chris, how are you?
00:22:35.960 Great, Jack. Pleasure to be here.
00:22:38.780 Chris, tell me about the book and how it relates to what we're seeing playing out across the streets of
00:22:44.980 L.A. and so many other cities. I can't imagine. Now, by the way, I do have to ask the question,
00:22:49.980 did you organize these riots as a way for marketing of your new book?
00:22:57.100 You know, no comment.
00:23:00.880 But we do share a publisher, folks. Full disclosure.
00:23:07.040 You know, the thing about these riots is that it really is comes as no surprise to any of us
00:23:15.640 living here, at least any of us who have been paying attention while living here,
00:23:20.980 that this has boiled over in the manner that it has. In fact, I think we should be almost kind of
00:23:25.420 blessed that it's been as contained as it has been. And that's in great, you know, we have
00:23:31.860 Donald Trump a great deal of thanks for that. California has been on a, I would say, a path to
00:23:43.020 suicide, civilizational suicide for at least a decade, arguably longer. And we have arrived at
00:23:53.060 a point where in California, immigration law is white supremacy and borders are violence.
00:24:02.420 And indeed, the people of California and the people of Los Angeles are actually hostages of this one-party
00:24:10.620 regime. And I consider the action by ICE to be welcomed as liberators to, it's a rescue operation.
00:24:21.200 But I think it's also a crystallizing moment to expose not just underlying problems in California or Los
00:24:31.080 Angeles, but really what the future of America could look like. If, if, you know, for instance,
00:24:38.180 the Biden lawlessness of the border had, had continued, I think that that is the fate that we
00:24:45.600 would have all been suffering for. So, well, and by the way, as, as you're writing this, we have some
00:24:52.860 breaking news that's going on right now. And I'm going to do a little production on the fly. If you can
00:24:57.100 get this, I'm seeing that one of these, uh, senators, um, Alex Padilla, Democrat Senator of
00:25:06.200 California, seems that he crashed Secretary Noem's press conference in, uh, Los Angeles had to be
00:25:14.240 forcibly removed. People are saying that it looks like he may have even assaulted, uh, some of the
00:25:20.260 federal agents as he was trying to make his way towards the secretary or, and obviously they were,
00:25:27.340 uh, her protective detail. Uh, he was handcuffed. I'm seeing in some of these idiot videos. He was,
00:25:33.740 he was detained. Um, I don't know if he's been fully arrested, et cetera, but, uh, this is a, a huge,
00:25:39.860 not, not just an endorsing of political violence, but actually a, a use guys. Do we have this video?
00:25:45.480 Can we play this video really quick? Well, you're seeing it there and I'm seeing some of this the
00:25:50.380 first time that, so secretary Noem is, and, and for folks listening on the radio, this is breaking.
00:25:56.160 This just happened within the last 10 minutes. Um, just seeing it on Twitter X where, uh,
00:26:02.120 secretary Noem was giving a press conference in the Los Angeles area about what's going on.
00:26:07.520 And here you have a Democrat leader who is using political violence against our federal officials.
00:26:16.520 And he is brought out, Chris, and you write about this in your book, Failed State, how we've gotten
00:26:22.440 to this place where, how can you have elected officials acting in such a manner?
00:26:27.860 Well, I think that, and that's an amazing, amazing image. Um, I think though the, the visceral
00:26:34.920 response from people like the Senator, uh, and, and others, as we've been seeing over the last few
00:26:40.980 days, this extreme response, um, is not only indicative of a, a state that has been in a kind
00:26:50.140 of de facto, uh, uh, I would say rebellion against the United States and, and executing that rebellion
00:26:57.780 through lawfare and re, and simply rejecting, um, U S federal laws respect with respect to immigration.
00:27:06.220 Um, this is because the democratic party in California has been able to achieve its political
00:27:13.700 hegemony and create the one party state in which 75% of the state legislature is held by a single
00:27:21.640 party. And we haven't had a Republican statewide official elected since Arnold Schwarzenegger.
00:27:28.320 Um, that was, I think, 2006. This is all happened because sometime in the nineties, really in response
00:27:37.200 to Pete Wilson and some ballot initiatives that tried to rein in on welfare benefits for illegal aliens,
00:27:43.980 there was a, uh, a kind of counteract to that, um, that put in place policies, uh, like sanctuary state
00:27:54.280 policies and others that have resulted in California having the highest percentage of foreign born people
00:28:01.520 in the United States. It's in California, it's 27%. There are at least 2 million illegal aliens in the state
00:28:08.780 state to, and as the foreign born population has, has risen since the nineties, California has also in parallel
00:28:19.100 become a concentrated political economy. So in other words, the power that Sacramento has consolidated,
00:28:27.820 um, is, is very significantly tied to demographic engineering.
00:28:38.780 Folks, we're showing new footage here as well. Chris Moritz is our guest. He's the author of
00:28:46.060 failed state all about, uh, California, the twilight of empire and talking about how California has
00:28:53.460 descended into chaos. And it's, it's the same chaos that we've seen play out across the streets,
00:28:57.760 but here you have another example of this chaos where a Democrat Senator has rushed secretary.
00:29:04.620 Kristi Noem. Uh, I don't have much more information on this. We're working to get more information.
00:29:10.620 She appears to be safe. Uh, but he was arrested. Uh, he was, uh, or at least detained. He's certainly
00:29:18.740 handcuffed. And we see that video. And this is, this is theater, by the way, this is classic political
00:29:23.780 theater. He'll use this the same way Gavin Newsom. I was surprised it wasn't Gavin Newsom, by the way,
00:29:28.940 trying to rush this because we know he's been daring, uh, the, uh, the administration to arrest him,
00:29:34.320 saying Tom Holman, come arrest me, tough guy. These are theater kids. These are theater kids
00:29:38.840 who are playing emotional drama and he'll use this to raise funds. I'm sure all and all the rest of
00:29:44.840 it. And meanwhile, the actual Angelenos, and as you say, the Californians who are living under this
00:29:52.060 occupation force, don't ever have anyone that's coming to help them out until now, at least because
00:29:58.200 you've got these ridiculous theater kids and morons like this individual who are actually in elected
00:30:04.660 office in California. Yeah, that's so well put, Jack. Um, look, the reality for, for ordinary people
00:30:13.060 in the state of California is that in the 1990s, crime was very violent, especially in Los Angeles,
00:30:21.020 just historically violent, but it was concentrated in certain, uh, you know, small areas, neighborhoods,
00:30:30.340 right in South LA and whatnot. Today, it may not be quite as violent, but the violence is directed
00:30:38.400 outwards to all of us all the time. And this is what I was, I was, uh, uh, was informed to me by,
00:30:46.420 by, by multiple law enforcement sources for my book. And, and it certainly has played out in my own
00:30:52.320 life. So the reason I wrote this book was because in 2023 on one weekend, my family home was home
00:31:01.520 invaded style burglarized, um, meaning I was in the house at the time, but didn't encounter, um, the,
00:31:09.180 uh, the burglar, but nevertheless, two nights in a row while I'm sleeping, um, by an MS-13
00:31:16.400 gangster, illegal alien from El Salvador, um, uh, seven years in state prison for gun crimes.
00:31:25.120 And when he got out in 2017, Trump, uh, President Trump's administration, uh, at that time, uh,
00:31:32.280 had him immediately deported to El Salvador. Well, during the Biden invasion, he came back into the
00:31:38.840 country, back to LA and went on a crime spree committing dozens of these types of hot prowl burglaries
00:31:45.860 or home invasion style burglaries, uh, all over Southern California. And in Los Angeles County,
00:31:52.720 he was never even brought up on charges where, where I live in Santa Monica. Um, the detective
00:32:00.280 assigned to the case never even, uh, called me to interview me. So it wasn't until, uh, he started
00:32:07.560 committing these crimes up to the North in Ventura County that he was actually apprehended. And when he
00:32:14.240 was, uh, when he was arrested, uh, at a stoplight, he had on his person, a stolen loaded gun, um, uh,
00:32:23.100 body armor, knives, much of the stolen property, um, and other paraphernalia. Um, and, uh, when he was
00:32:32.900 brought into interrogation, the lead detective, uh, on the case came up to him and said, look,
00:32:37.900 we know you had a gun on you. Thanks for not opening fire on us. And he said, well, don't thank me
00:32:43.260 because if my wife and kid had not been in the backseat of the vehicle at the time, I was planning
00:32:49.980 on opening fire and murdering you because I'm never going back to jail. Well, this guy got sentenced to
00:32:56.040 only two years, probably will serve less in state prison and a $300 fine. And as I learned about all of
00:33:03.840 this, I was just so beyond shocked. I mean, I knew it was bad, but could it have been that bad?
00:33:10.200 And I started talking to law enforcement, um, from, you know, the lowest level beat cop up to Tom
00:33:16.500 Homan and on the prosecution side, uh, you know, uh, junior prosecutors up to Steve Cooley, the former
00:33:24.580 district attorney of Los Angeles. And what emerged from these interviews was a picture of California
00:33:30.040 that was in such disarray. This story, as harrowing as this is, we're, we're just about out of time
00:33:38.040 in the segment. I want people to go and read the full thing to find more of it. The book is
00:33:43.340 failed state, California, twilight, a vampire go follow Chris words. Chris, thank you so much for
00:33:50.540 joining us today. All right.
00:34:00.040 We'll see you next time.
00:34:07.040 We'll see you next time.
00:34:11.040 Bye.
00:34:13.040 We'll see you next time.
00:34:20.040 Bye.
00:34:22.040 All right, folks, I've got a special guest here at Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec.
00:34:47.120 First time, first time, first time that she's, well, I suppose not the first time ever appeared on the program, but certainly the first time like this.
00:34:57.380 Folks, it's Lori Posobiec, my mom, and she is here because she has an op-ed up at humanevents.com that is currently number one on humanevents.com.
00:35:11.480 It is the top article on the site at the moment.
00:35:17.120 And so, Mom, Lori, you wrote a story all about the unfortunate situation of getting swatted a couple years ago on Christmas.
00:35:30.480 And they've caught the swatter, at least, or one of the two, at least at this point.
00:35:34.860 But tell me about the piece.
00:35:37.240 And also, hi, Mom.
00:35:38.200 Hi.
00:35:39.360 Thanks for having me on.
00:35:41.420 Yeah, we just have been kind of living with this for a year and a half now.
00:35:45.840 But since the person was actually pled guilty, we knew his trial was coming up.
00:35:52.660 We had been informed that he had been caught and was on the trial.
00:35:56.060 Dad wanted to go to the trial, by the way.
00:35:57.860 Dad was all like, I'm going down there, I'm getting in his face, I'm going to stare at him.
00:36:03.920 I didn't need to do that, but he did.
00:36:07.100 Yeah.
00:36:07.320 So, yeah, now that it was done, I said, well, you know, I think now would be a good time to just kind of write our experiences of it.
00:36:15.360 But, yeah, so it was, you know, kind of, it could have been scarier.
00:36:22.560 Just, you know, if you read the piece, it was like the way it happened, I was able, I was, I actually had just left the house.
00:36:30.420 So you saw the police rolling up.
00:36:32.580 Yeah.
00:36:32.800 We haven't really told this story publicly.
00:36:35.600 I thought they were going to the neighbor's house.
00:36:37.480 I'm like, oh, what's going on with the neighbors, you know?
00:36:39.980 Yeah.
00:36:40.400 And then he rolls the window down and he says, did you come out of that house right there?
00:36:44.160 I'm like, yeah, you know, and they proceeded to tell me what was going on.
00:36:49.220 And I had, there had been some recent swattings of mostly conservative media recently.
00:36:56.780 I can't remember the names right now, but it was, you know, I knew that it was probably a prank.
00:37:01.740 So immediately I was calm.
00:37:03.720 I said, you know, I'm pretty sure it's a prank.
00:37:06.460 And, you know, they were nervous.
00:37:08.240 And when the guy was writing the information down, he was shaking.
00:37:11.280 And when we spoke later with some cops at the station several days or weeks later, because the detective was assigned to it, he said, yeah, we totally believed it because it was right before Christmas.
00:37:23.620 And, you know, the tensions are high, you know, expectations and all that with Christmas.
00:37:28.100 He totally thought it was a real incident.
00:37:30.480 And they had called and said that there was an incident at the house, that there was an active shooter at the house.
00:37:38.520 Yeah.
00:37:39.140 And should I just say what it was?
00:37:42.760 Sure, yeah.
00:37:43.260 So they claimed that the swatters claimed that I was the active shooter and that I was shooting family members and holding other, holding my wife hostage.
00:37:53.500 And they had all the names.
00:37:55.140 They went after our children and they went after, they said that I was holding my wife hostage and that I was shooting people and that the police needed to arrive immediately.
00:38:06.040 And so, to your point, that puts the police in a heightened sense of response mode because they hear an incident like that.
00:38:15.780 Were they coming in with the sirens on, were the sirens on?
00:38:19.080 I don't think they had yet.
00:38:22.120 But, yeah, they were like, well, who is Jack Posobiec?
00:38:25.760 You know, they had your name.
00:38:28.100 And I said, well, I'm sure it's a swatting thing then, you know, because he's not here.
00:38:32.460 I can get him on the phone for you so you can talk to him.
00:38:35.020 Right, and so they couldn't find my address, so they went and found your address.
00:38:41.320 We now employ a variety of measures to protect that information, by the way, and so hopefully this never happens again.
00:38:49.360 But they caught the guy.
00:38:51.640 Yeah, they caught him, and, you know, but they're still copycats.
00:38:55.500 And what I would have to tell people is, if you even think you might be a target of a swatting incident, call your local police, talk to them, and say, hey, you know, if I get a call like this, or if my house does, you know, like maybe call me first or let me FaceTime or something,
00:39:15.720 so that it's not this full-blown guns drawn in the middle of the night, whatever kind of incident, which, you know, people have been killed for this sort of thing.
00:39:25.560 Right, and it wastes resources.
00:39:27.760 And, you know, in situations where, you know, you and dad are Second Amendment supporters and exercisers, you as well as dad, by the way.
00:39:36.900 And you never know what happens in the middle of the night like that.
00:39:40.360 Something goes wrong.
00:39:43.880 And you've been living with this now for a couple of years.
00:39:48.380 Do you feel better that they've caught the guy?
00:39:50.360 Oh, absolutely.
00:39:51.460 Yeah, dad was so angry, just anger.
00:39:54.060 Yeah, yeah.
00:39:54.960 And I was more like, well, you know, these things happen, you know.
00:40:00.060 Just part of the job, I guess.
00:40:03.960 And this is real life.
00:40:05.320 Yeah.
00:40:05.820 This is real life.
00:40:06.900 So this is really my mom, folks.
00:40:10.420 This is really my life.
00:40:11.940 This is really our life, being in this movement, doing what we do.
00:40:16.860 And I'm not complaining.
00:40:19.560 But if you mess with our families, we will come for you.
00:40:24.740 And I don't care if you're on the other side of the planet.
00:40:27.580 I don't care where you are.
00:40:29.380 You will be found and you will be brought down.
00:40:31.700 And that's exactly what happened here and exactly what will happen to anyone who ever.
00:40:37.260 Tries to mess with my family or the families of anyone else in this movement.
00:40:41.440 All right.
00:40:41.640 I love you, mom.
00:40:42.420 Thank you.
00:40:43.160 I love you, too.
00:40:44.020 Can you help me out with a little something, mom?
00:40:45.720 There's usually a little something we say here at the end.
00:40:47.780 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to...
00:40:51.920 Lay ashore.
00:40:52.840 Lay ashore.
00:40:54.100 All right.
00:40:54.820 Lori Posobik, folks.
00:40:56.040 Go check her out.
