Transcript

00:00:00.000 well ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard for a very special sunday here with human events we
00:00:16.760 just completed our china files series and we wanted to keep the discussions going because
00:00:23.440 there's so much more that's happening right now in the world with the ccp as well as in different
00:00:29.720 regions of the world in the ccp and i wanted to take this time because we have the sunday special
00:00:36.000 to bring on someone who is an expert in ccp influence and ccp information operations not
00:00:44.140 only in the united states and around the world but specifically in the asia pacific region and in
00:00:50.860 the nation of japan and so that's why i wanted to bring in all the way she joins us from okinawa
00:00:56.560 today it is masako ganaha masako thank you so much for joining us today i thank you very much
00:01:03.180 for having me on i appreciate it now masako for those who don't follow her she's on youtube she's
00:01:09.700 on rumble they're always trying to ban her on youtube but she is an incredible information
00:01:14.280 and international journalist we actually met in washington dc i think just a few days after
00:01:20.240 january 6th and we were going through all of the footage from january 6th we were looking at
00:01:25.060 everything that was going on in there but obviously your focus isn't necessarily u.s it's more focused
00:01:30.060 on japan but specifically the influence of ccp the world economic forum davos globalism because
00:01:37.040 personally i feel that in the west we see the ccp and the world economic forum working together do you
00:01:46.040 see the same thing in japan yes yes uh recently i've been digging into wef uh i started to call not
00:01:54.940 wef but wef that's easier that's how they call it in europe and wef they have a summer davos in
00:02:01.780 in china every year and yes so they have strong connection and as you know they uh posts they
00:02:10.740 created a website for people to follow this year's davos and they excluded twitter but because of the
00:02:18.920 um true media talking about this they added twitter so it's really funny how they react to um many
00:02:30.280 internet uh news so world economic forum they're holding this wef and that is how they say it in europe
00:02:37.060 actually when i visited there and attended before i was detained i think i remember you saw uh this
00:02:43.140 last summer in when they because they moved it because of covid to may of 2022 so i was detained
00:02:50.180 by the world economic forum police and of course reuters got very very upset and they said no it's not
00:02:56.100 the world economic forum police it's just the police who've been assigned to the world economic forum it's
00:03:01.360 completely and utterly different um and so of course they were fact-checking me on all of this and trying
00:03:06.120 to delete my posts and videos but i noticed that when they were there they kept saying wef wef wef so
00:03:11.960 we don't usually say that in the u.s but that's right internationally they would they would call it wef so
00:03:16.440 when they are holding wef in this summer session that's being held in china uh who attends is it the
00:03:23.980 same group of people as a klaus schwab but to people from the ccp also attend and for people that need
00:03:30.320 to understand uh at the world economic forum conference in davos the number one delegation is
00:03:36.400 the united states the number two delegation in there in switzerland is from the chinese communist
00:03:42.240 party so when it's being held in china do you see the same international footprint as well as from ccp
00:03:48.800 uh yes and actually uh as klaus schwab state during one of his interview he says he admired the system in
00:03:59.360 china so what they're doing is completely the same and uh myself being japanese i'm always looking at how
00:04:09.920 how they influence japan and uh i am seeing this as like japan is not even a player our government
00:04:20.800 officials are just puppet uh it's really sad to say this but that's what i've been finding out
00:04:27.920 so in what ways do you find that japan has become a puppet of the ccp obviously most americans of course
00:04:37.440 were praying for japan because of the horrific incident with shinzo abe former prime minister
00:04:43.840 earlier or just later last year that took place and of course shinzo abe was known for being extremely
00:04:52.560 supportive of japanese nationalism supportive of a strong defense was known as a conservative and people
00:04:58.960 were very very concerned that this horrific incident may have had some connection to the ccp
00:05:07.440 yes uh his assassination uh it's there are so many mysteries and the police in japan and of
00:05:15.280 government japanese government wants to uh end this argument that this one suspect just did it on his
00:05:24.560 own but there are many other thing journalists trying to figure out what really happened still now
00:05:31.040 because there are so many things that doesn't make sense and uh to your question how how is it
00:05:40.080 how can i say that japanese government is just a puppet actually in japan uh let me tell you the
00:05:46.480 atmosphere in japan first of all if you are to talk about world economic forum or or if you mention
00:05:53.920 the name klaus schwab then you are considered to be crazy people person
00:06:01.040 so this um in japan there are so many um propaganda going on trying to stop um this world economic forum
00:06:16.640 criticize critics so uh our government they go to davos and they address speeches and they also
00:06:26.880 implement the policy based on what they decide what have been decided in davos but then they do not
00:06:35.840 give us explanation how they got idea from davos or what their connection to them so as a job as japanese as
00:06:46.880 a japanese i am trying to explain and wake up japanese people that our official what they're telling us
00:06:55.360 is not from us is not from their mouth but the people above our officials that's why i say that
00:07:04.880 our government is not even a player they're just puppet they are successfully um hiding this channel like how
00:07:18.240 they implement the policy so it's really severe situation in japan and so because of this atmosphere
00:07:30.240 you're seeing this from now japan is not like the united states where there's no first amendment there's no
00:07:36.000 uh constitutional protection the same way we have in u.s but are you seeing that from the government side as well as the government willing
00:07:43.520 to come in and censor this information about weff and about ccp well in japan the tendency is that uh more of
00:07:54.560 quote-unquote mainstream media is trying to hide from us and because not so many people japanese people speak
00:08:03.440 or read in english people cannot get to the actual information so people who woke up and then
00:08:14.720 have ability to read and speak in english can get right information that language barrier is one of the
00:08:23.600 uh huge uh huge uh issue also and also the fact checker quote-unquote fact checker oh yes we have the
00:08:32.160 quote-unquote fact checker here in the u.s as well yes and also you youtube too we have huge censorship so if
00:08:41.440 actually if you were to talk about topics like world economic forum or ccp then they will take down
00:08:49.120 your video and actually i have a youtube channel and i got two strikes and two strikes already for what
00:09:00.800 one is uh the video i talked about ccp and one year later i published the video on ccp threats to japan
00:09:14.720 they just one day they just gave me email saying that this video violates our policy so they took down
00:09:23.120 my content so that was my uh first strike so you're saying this took place uh almost two years after the
00:09:34.960 original video itself was posted that you received a strike from youtube in japan yes one year and not only
00:09:43.600 myself but many other journalists who focuses on ccp their videos were taken down or uh their
00:09:54.080 channel was banned that's been going on yeah yes i was just going to say that it sounds like a very
00:10:02.560 similar situation that we're facing here in the united states and that's why we use platforms like rumble
00:10:08.320 we use accounts like of course we still have twitter but we also have getter and then we have places
00:10:13.920 like rumble where we can go and put all the videos up and not face this kind of censorship that's going
00:10:20.320 on rumble i think just revamped their website have you set up a rumble yet uh actually yes i do have
00:10:26.320 rumble and i upload all of my videos but uh i'm trying to uh spread those information that there are
00:10:33.840 alternative social media but because japanese people cannot uh read in english they the platform
00:10:41.520 itself is not available in japanese that's one of the issue that many japanese people cannot okay but
00:10:50.240 we'll we'll we'll talk to them we'll see if we can fix that i'm sure we can fix that
00:10:54.160 yes and good news is uh recently getter started their japanese branch so it's gonna be available in
00:11:01.760 japanese also so i hope that it will spread in japan well that's tremendous because i know twitter
00:11:09.040 and we're coming up on our first break here but is it true that twitter is still one of the most
00:11:12.960 popular social medias in japan yes actually eon musk stated that uh twitter is more famous
00:11:22.240 in japan than any other country i think that's right actually if you look at month on month i've seen
00:11:28.160 those numbers that if you look month on month the terms of daily active users monthly active users
00:11:34.080 in japan is actually larger than any other country so that's why it's key if you want to understand
00:11:39.120 how twitter works if you want to understand twitter's business you need japan to be in there now of course
00:11:44.400 twitter is banned in china but if the ccp right think about it in terms of influence if they want to
00:11:50.160 influence the united states if they want to influence japan their neighbor of course ccp or china and japan have
00:11:56.160 had many many wars over the years to include world war ii to include many other conflicts
00:12:02.000 that is something that they need to focus on which is twitter stay tuned we're coming right back
00:12:06.720 with international journalist masako kanaha okay this is jack sobek here human events we are back
00:12:14.000 with masako kanaha the international journalist out of okinawa she joins us today from okinawa and we were
00:12:20.320 just talking about how youtube is taking down your information your journalism about the ccp and
00:12:27.440 particularly their threat to japan so let's go through that we know of course that ccp is a military threat
00:12:34.400 to japan everyone knows this uh certainly also a military threat to um to taiwan and a military threat
00:12:41.840 you have the the islands as well that are disputed between china and japan but what about
00:12:47.280 the information warfare what about the influence threat tell me walk us through what is the influence
00:12:55.520 threat of the ccp in japan okay thank you very much for bringing this topic on uh because i live in
00:13:04.160 okinawa it's a little island located in southern part of japan this island is particularly targeted for
00:13:15.040 decades by ccp that's why i started my uh journalism and we have local new two newspapers heavily infiltrated
00:13:26.720 from ccp so all the all the news information we get from those local newspapers are filled with propaganda
00:13:38.080 and especially those uh newspapers target on u.s basis and before i go deep into this let me give you the
00:13:48.400 broad picture so ccp information operation heavily deployed on okinawa southern part of japan and
00:13:57.520 hokkaido hokkaido is located in northern part of japan those two places are the key place for them to
00:14:07.840 infiltrate and especially okinawa because we have u.s bases they want to get rid of it because that's
00:14:16.240 easier for them to invade right and so there has been huge propaganda going on saying that people
00:14:27.120 live in okinawa we say okinawans okinawan people are discriminated against by u.s and japan
00:14:36.480 that's how they try to divide and conquer us so many local okinawan people are brainwashed thinking that
00:14:48.320 they are the victim of those policies and they sometimes bring up um heartbreaking crime
00:14:59.280 that kind of things happen for example uh rape or drink and drive uh drink and driving
00:15:08.160 by american soldiers those things happen but it's not because they are americans there are many bad people
00:15:18.560 whether they are americans or japanese but those things they will bring this uh accident or the crime
00:15:27.120 big enough that they brainwash us to think that we have to get rid of u.s bases entirely
00:15:36.400 that's how this information operation is going on and there are many activists
00:15:43.280 came from all over japan and they do protest in front of u.s bases
00:15:49.440 but those are the ones who came outside of okinawa claiming that pretending to be they are locals
00:16:00.160 some activists moved to okinawa in order to continue this activism they are not locals they just moved
00:16:08.640 a couple years ago but they say oh i'm from okinawa and i i oppose u.s bases that's how their
00:16:15.920 operation is going on and this is the broad picture and myself i was born and raised in okinawa
00:16:29.360 i know the real local people's voice especially those who live around bases they love american people
00:16:39.520 they have good friendship and they understand why we have u.s bases as well of course um japanese
00:16:47.600 self-defense force too because we are under the threat of ccp military invasion
00:16:54.880 and so there is this gap between real voice of local people and the quote unquote local people that
00:17:05.200 appears on newspaper that's why i say we can only trust the date on newspaper everything else we have
00:17:14.640 to turn it upside down and read it that's how we can get
00:17:18.240 so these activists and actually let me let me take a second so to make people understand this because
00:17:26.560 just a few months ago there was an incident uh between a u.s sailor and his family and a very
00:17:33.920 unfortunate car accident that took place um driving from mount fuji and which is not nokinawa but um
00:17:41.280 it's about two hours from ukuska and he cracked he was involved in a car crash his car did hit
00:17:49.760 pedestrians i believe two people were killed um i know one woman was killed some people were injured
00:17:58.240 that's what happened one person killed people injured he testified later that it was due to altitude
00:18:03.920 sickness and he had fainted so he wasn't drunk he wasn't driving recklessly he was given three years in
00:18:09.840 jail for this um they call it negligent manslaughter and many people um in the u.s including president
00:18:17.200 biden as well as other lawmakers have petitioned this is a u.s navy officer this just happened a
00:18:22.160 couple of months ago to have him released this punishment um particularly harsh for him even
00:18:28.880 compared to other instances of this happening before and of course it's horrible and and we're so
00:18:34.080 horrified this happened and we wish it never had happened but i think it speaks to what you're
00:18:38.480 talking about how some of them are treated differently than if this happened to um regular
00:18:45.840 japanese citizen where this took in place now these activists so for folks listening this is something
00:18:52.080 that comes up all the time even obviously right now there's there is a u.s navy officer currently in
00:18:57.680 jail in japan because of one of these issues and the activists use this to push a wedge between
00:19:04.640 u.s and japan to say we don't want you here we don't want your bases here we don't want your
00:19:09.200 aircraft carriers ukuska is the largest u.s navy base outside of the united states it is the main
00:19:16.240 base for the united states seventh fleet it's the flight at the base where i visited many times when i
00:19:20.720 was in an officer in the u.s seventh fleet um it's a great city a lot of fun just south of tokyo
00:19:27.200 and it is a huge issue but masako what i wanted to get into want to ask you is these activists you're
00:19:33.120 talking about do they have a connection have you uncovered a connection between them and the ccp
00:19:39.120 because certainly the goal of the ccp would be to drive a separation between the u.s and japan
00:19:47.120 yes uh so what i see the connection is in terms of um what so-called dukiu okinawa independence
00:19:58.160 movement those people who oppose american bases also states that okinawa is not part of japan
00:20:08.880 they bring this to identity issue and then saying that okinawa should be independent country
00:20:17.760 so that they can get rid of u.s spaces not only u.s spaces but japanese self-defense force too
00:20:26.320 that's how they use this logic to demilitarize japan and this okinawa independence movement
00:20:37.520 is actually promoted by ccp if you go look into like chinese newspaper
00:20:46.880 they say they state that okinawa should be independent country that's how they um do information
00:20:56.560 operation to divide and conquer so we we can see the connection and they also ccp also invite japanese
00:21:06.640 scholar to china and then they have symposium talking about how okinawa can be independent
00:21:15.360 so it's clear that they are trying to buy rewriting the history they are trying to destabilize okinawa
00:21:29.840 so we can see that's how we can see the connection and also interestingly it's not interestingly but
00:21:38.480 um in north korea there is huge influence by north korea to okinawan uh those uh activists
00:21:49.520 activists and sometimes activists in korea connected to north korea they come to japan especially okinawa
00:22:02.160 and they do protest with those japanese activists and they held banner of the photos of kim jong-un and then
00:22:14.640 the president of korea and holding hands together and they're saying korea is going to be united
00:22:23.680 so we don't have to be united so we don't have to worry about the threat of north korea so we don't need
00:22:29.600 those bases that's how they did that's how they promoted their propaganda and they do dancing and then
00:22:38.080 uh that the and then those local newspaper they took photos and they just uh take those propaganda
00:22:47.680 and then spread to okinawan people so this um anti-us base activity activism has huge uh what should i say
00:23:03.760 deep political
00:23:08.720 political and and geopolitical ramifications and for folks to understand the island of okinawa is only 450 miles
00:23:17.360 from taiwan it's very very close we have about 50 000 u.s forces there that includes uh army navy
00:23:26.880 air force marines everyone is there because the united states is forward deployed to understand that
00:23:33.440 if there is a war between the u.s or between china and japan that okinawa would be and i said this on the
00:23:41.440 show recently certainly would be one of the very first targets in any war because china would know
00:23:48.000 that okinawa must be destroyed all of the forces must be destroyed in order for them to take taiwan
00:23:54.800 in order for them to take anything else on the and certainly if they were attempting to head to the
00:23:59.680 mainland of japan we'll be right back in one minute because i want to talk more about potential scenarios
00:24:05.760 for the outbreak of war in japan okinawa and china all right we return to okinawa where we're discussing
00:24:14.640 the targets of the ccp should there a military incident outbreak only 450 miles from taiwan
00:24:22.560 massive amounts of u.s military there i think i kind of misspoke in the last segment it's 50 000 u.s
00:24:28.240 troops for all of japan and then about 26 000 so about half of those troops stationed on okinawa
00:24:35.680 island itself between the u.s marine corps air force army and the u.s navy now we've got huge air
00:24:44.080 force base there uh f-15s uh the ospreys are located there we've got so many forces out so
00:24:51.680 masako from a perspective of the military if there were a taiwan war to break out would okinawa be
00:25:00.320 involved on day one for sure yes i i see um we share the same fate with taiwanese so we must for us
00:25:13.760 japanese we must protect taiwan otherwise we will be in the same uh terrible disaster and i would like to
00:25:24.880 mention about what's happening around the senkaku islands uh is that okay of course yes so the senkaku
00:25:32.480 islands this is i mentioned this earlier on in the show and the senkaku islands are a set of islands
00:25:39.440 that are directly between taiwan and okinawa only about halfway right in right in the middle and so
00:25:47.680 japan japan japan currently um holds sovereignty over these islands but china is constantly trying
00:25:55.040 to push japan off and if i remember correctly china just recently a few weeks ago flew a military
00:26:01.600 aircraft drone over these islands to penetrate the japanese airspace so talk to us some more
00:26:07.840 about the senkaku islands and why this is so important
00:26:10.800 uh okay uh right now the senkaku area is very sensitive for us japanese and first of all i should
00:26:21.760 mention as japanese that there are no disputed area it's our japanese land but china is trying to steal from us
00:26:33.440 and senkaku islands is uh there are no people living on but there used to be many people there
00:26:40.640 are um they make fish bonito there was a factory and one civilian owned the island but because of this
00:26:50.320 huge threat by ccp uh this person decided to sell this land to tokyo prefecture but then at that time
00:27:01.600 the governor of tokyo prefecture were strongly conservative so all of the japanese people welcome this
00:27:10.160 idea and many people donated for tokyo to purchase this island but at that time the prime minister
00:27:20.480 uh leftist prime minister he decided to intervene this negotiation and uh as a matter of fact he uh as a
00:27:32.960 japan as a country bought this japan as a country bought this island but that was kind
00:27:38.960 of the start of tragedy actually because now no one more allowed to land on senkaku and so it's really
00:27:48.480 hard to uh for for journalists too we cannot go there to really see what's happening so the only way for us
00:27:58.960 japanese to learn what's happening is through the government uh information uh and also local
00:28:09.280 fishermen sometimes go there so they take photos on their own they take videos and that's how we can see
00:28:17.520 what's really happening and there is one member of the city council uh in ishigaki city ishigaki city is
00:28:26.960 the um district that senkaku island uh what should i say includes it falls under that region
00:28:37.120 yes yes yes so this uh his name is hitoshi nakama he became fisherman in order to go around the area
00:28:50.480 because as a journalist i'm trying to go there but if anybody other than fishermen try to go there
00:29:00.960 then japanese government will stop you saying um i think it's unconstitutional actually but they were
00:29:10.000 saying that only fishermen were allowed to go there but because when when fishermen go there
00:29:16.640 then what happened is ccp vessel they will chase those fishermen so because of this dangerousness
00:29:27.280 not so many fishermen go there anymore so that's the situation and so many japanese people are trying to
00:29:36.560 um push um push our government to do actual something to show chinese that we own senkaku island for example
00:29:50.960 um we can maybe deploy somebody um officials from the government and so that they can do some kind of
00:30:01.520 operation by having japanese living on those islands that's the biggest message that we own this island
00:30:11.360 in japanese government and that's that's by the way what you're saying that's exactly what china has done
00:30:17.360 in south china sea when they built those islands in the middle of south china sea the first thing they did
00:30:24.160 was put military emplacements and the second thing they did was to make chinese citizens or or invite chinese
00:30:31.120 citizens to come and live on these islands because when they find something and claim it as chinese
00:30:36.640 they would put chinese civilians there and say look we are living here we have administration we have
00:30:42.560 schools we have families they have everything that a normal community would have and so in order to do so
00:30:49.440 you notice the rest of the world does not do anything about these islands but with senkaku
00:30:56.160 the japanese government so the japanese government and to give everyone the timeline of this this was
00:31:00.800 only 2012 so it's only been 10 years since the government has purchased this from that private owner that you
00:31:06.960 were talking about and when that happened um i remember in china the people were protesting and screaming
00:31:15.040 they're very upset about this especially the nationalists in china how dare you how can you
00:31:19.760 this cannot happen those are our islands senkaku they belong to us and in japan it was said to your
00:31:27.280 point everyone thought that there was going to be some development of these islands potentially also
00:31:32.480 development not just for fishing but for mineral rights oil rights shipping trade and as a military
00:31:39.600 outpost and yet the government has not done that yet none of it so what i said that um we were hoping
00:31:49.280 for tokyo to buy this island because the head of tokyo was strongly conservative and truly patriot so he
00:31:58.480 should have done something uh but because the japanese government purchased these islands
00:32:07.520 they those area became untouchable area so whatever japanese patriots claim that what we should do
00:32:20.480 everything has been stopped so actually uh right now i'm still trying to figure out a way to go there as
00:32:32.640 a journalist and you're gonna go videos i am trying to actually last month no two months ago you're so
00:32:39.760 so when the war starts we'll know it's because of masako no no war didn't war didn't stop because masako went there
00:32:48.160 that's okay okay yes so actually there are patriot fishermen willing to offer me a ride to near the senkaku but
00:33:00.000 we need to figure out uh how we can do it uh without um japanese government arresting me or without
00:33:10.720 um well i should find a easier way so that not only myself but other people can go like i wanted to make
00:33:20.080 this path for people to go there and i i want i hope many american people would watch uh some of the footage
00:33:28.800 that fishermen local fishermen took they those ccp vessel it says chinese coast guard they will just
00:33:39.520 chase those local fishermen's vessels for hours and hours and they will tell those those uh fishermen that
00:33:49.040 those area like japanese fishermen should not enter because it's their territorial water but in between
00:33:56.880 japanese um coast guard vessel uh enters so they are trying to protect japanese fishermen
00:34:08.720 but um ccp's violation of japanese territorial water and threat to local fishermen has been escalating
00:34:20.160 it's not going back for people to understand this is a so for japan this is a territorial
00:34:27.440 violation imagine if china were coming back close to part of the united states and then kicking our
00:34:33.520 our our own fishermen out of our own waters off the coast of california off the coast of alaska
00:34:41.280 and chinese ships were coming in saying that you can't fish here and then going after american
00:34:45.600 citizens this is what china is doing to japan every single day when they go out there just to go fishing
00:34:53.760 just to fish in their own waters of their own country and so for many people looking at this
00:34:59.520 situation we'll talk more in the next segment about the broader picture but for many people looking
00:35:04.800 at just specifically the china japan relationship they have said that because of china's repeated
00:35:11.040 violations of the national sovereignty of these waters that this is something because it inflames so
00:35:19.040 many people these violations that it could lead to the outbreak of something broader because what if
00:35:25.120 something were to happen masako to your point what if one of these fishermen were injured what if one
00:35:30.800 of these ships were sunk right out there on the high sea what if someone were killed by the actions of
00:35:37.040 the chinese military this is something that could easily turn in in addition to the taiwan question
00:35:43.920 something that could easily turn into a kinetic flashpoint very very quickly and we're also talking by the
00:35:50.320 way these waters some of the most important shipping routes some of the most important
00:35:54.560 mineral rights in the world that are right there that were um there's been uh estimated petroleum
00:36:00.640 deposits underneath so it's a massive massive issue and for some reason the japanese government has yet
00:36:07.280 to push china out of these islands come back with more ccp in japan and we're back now in this last
00:36:17.200 segment i wanted to talk more of a broader sense about the public perception on either side because masako i
00:36:23.680 don't know if you know but in china if you go to china today if you turn on the tv if you go to the movie
00:36:33.440 theater um do you know who the villain is in every single chinese tv show and every single chinese movie
00:36:43.840 us right now is japan every single you can from channel to channel to channel everything you see japan is
00:36:51.680 evil japan is the great enemy japan is uh the the greatest threat we must remember what japan uh has
00:37:00.000 done almost 100 years ago we must fight against japan it is one of i remember when i lived in in china
00:37:10.000 when i lived in shanghai and i was um just talking to someone in my office and she was also chinese she was
00:37:18.240 chinese and i said to her oh yeah well you know here in here in shanghai i don't have a car because uh
00:37:25.120 you know driving and owning a car for foreign citizens is very hard to do in in china but i do
00:37:32.000 have a car back home she said what kind of car do you have i said mitsubishi because at the time i drove
00:37:37.360 a mitsubishi she did not talk to me for one month for one month she did not talk to me because she found out
00:37:44.640 that i drew of a japanese car this sentiment in china is very strong even amongst uh your average
00:37:53.520 chinese person anti-japanese sentiment um all chinese children are taught again and again japan is
00:38:00.800 the enemy japan is the enemy and so when i look at the history of japan and china's relations between
00:38:08.000 the from the end of the war through the communist era from mao zedong era through dung xiaoping it
00:38:17.600 seemed that in the 1990s they started to really gain some economic and trade relations but then in
00:38:25.520 starting about 10 years ago the same 10 years that we were just talking about this period it's going
00:38:30.480 and grown increasingly hostile um there are more and more incidents the nationalist um sentiment inside
00:38:39.120 mainland china has gotten extremely large as well as these violations and this is probably what's
00:38:45.200 pushing more and more of these violations of the territory of japan now when it comes to the japanese
00:38:51.920 side what is the feeling in japan and i know you know okinawa because that's where i are what is the
00:38:58.000 feeling towards china is it the same do you view china as this you know they're the enemy and we must
00:39:03.120 destroy them kind of kind of sense oh to to short answer we don't feel this kind of uh angry towards
00:39:16.400 china like part of our culture as japanese we do not hate who till like blood level we don't have
00:39:26.480 that kind of culture so uh we do not have hate against chinese even though we are heavily under threat
00:39:37.200 but the average person's um point of view uh let me introduce a survey conducted in 2015
00:39:46.720 by the government of okinawa uh okinawan prefecture and they asked people in okinawa
00:39:56.800 if you like china or not and then the question was what's your perspective towards china
00:40:05.680 and there are five uh selections one good uh positive view and then the second one
00:40:17.920 uh like yes but not best and then the third one is that social meaning not so good
00:40:34.560 uh what should i say not so good uh view and then the fourth one is dislike china
00:40:42.000 and the fifth one is i don't want to answer okay and overall
00:40:48.640 8.3 percent says they have good image
00:40:55.280 and the rest of it they don't have good image so 88 percent of okinawan people
00:41:06.560 they don't have a good image towards china and the reasons is really interesting
00:41:14.000 and one of the most popular reason that they do not like china is because the ccp
00:41:25.680 is selfish uh in terms of energy and resource and
00:41:34.000 and getting food food issue and then the other one is that they cannot understand chinese people's
00:41:46.080 action
00:41:46.640 action patriotic action or how they view their history and the other one is that
00:41:56.400 they twist history and then they criticize japan
00:42:01.760 that's the main reason that people in okinawa do not like china so even though there are heavy
00:42:10.480 information operation propaganda led by local newspapers and tvs many okinawan people answered
00:42:19.440 that they do not like china 88 percent in 2015 but
00:42:25.360 many okinawan people have other views too meaning because okinawa economy is heavily dependent on china
00:42:39.760 meaning because okinawa is a tourist place and we have we welcome a lot of chinese tourists
00:42:47.360 so without those tourists okinawa economy cannot thrive or survive
00:42:55.600 so recently because of this uh pandemic outbreak again in china many countries closed their border towards
00:43:04.720 china or they put strict restriction and japanese government tried to implement something similar
00:43:13.200 but the tourism group in okinawa said please do not do it they oppose our government policy
00:43:22.960 so ccp is really good at choking country even though okinawan people do not like chinese
00:43:34.640 attitudes but they are already at our throat so we were
00:43:44.720 um it's like the same pattern they will lend you a lot of money until they cannot give payback and then
00:43:54.160 they take the country um they take whole country that kind of invasion is happening so that's the
00:44:05.440 average atmosphere or the situation that's the average person's view now when it comes to
00:44:11.680 the people connection with you're in okinawa you see chinese tourists there do the people of okinawa do
00:44:20.560 they view the chinese people as separate from ccp do they view that as a separation or do they view it
00:44:27.760 all as just part of china oh most of the people they think not uh when we see chinese people
00:44:39.680 most of people don't see them as part of ccp we see as an individual person so what i usually try to
00:44:49.680 um aware make aware of the situation is that those innocent looking chinese people can be a spy
00:45:01.120 because in china they have a law once they declare emergency or state of war then all the citizens
00:45:11.200 have to work for ccp so if we for example hire people in like bank in japan
00:45:20.160 they they can be a huge threat to us but those kind of complicated situation
00:45:28.560 is not so much uh understood in japan so japanese people are very naive in this sense
00:45:38.080 well that's exactly right i mean you look at um and even there are some factions of the ldp
00:45:43.680 in japan the the elites these parties i think it's the uh the tanaka faction you know they are
00:45:50.480 very close with ccp you see other people who are under this influence of the united front work
00:45:55.600 department but we only have a few minutes left and so masako if you could please tell everyone where
00:46:01.600 they can follow you where they can get more access to your work and your journalism and hopefully uh if
00:46:08.160 you go to visit the senkaku islands will be completely safe and you don't start world war
00:46:13.120 three fry by visiting there and doing some fishing and sending up your maybe do some drone videos
00:46:20.000 i have a friend uh who did some drone videos of jeffrey epstein's island down in the caribbean
00:46:25.120 actually and he sailed there on his boat and then he did put up and did some drone videos after the
00:46:30.320 arrest but we would like to we would obviously like to avoid right any large-scale war or any
00:46:39.280 conflict over senkaku is over taiwan over okinawa of course because these countries are so close
00:46:46.080 together to your point the history is entwined the fate is entwined but there's the economies are
00:46:52.640 entwined but because of these issues and these violations again there still comes to be a chance
00:46:59.600 for great conflict yeah yes uh thank you very much for uh having me on today and uh i published my
00:47:09.920 work on youtube and rambo and getter and i have also twitter account and uh i have my own website
00:47:18.640 please visit masako kanaha.com and i also would like to tell uh express my appreciation
00:47:29.280 because uh jack and your great work and many uh american patriots is spreading courage and there is
00:47:38.960 this uh saying i like this courage is contagious and right now we need this huge pandemic courage
00:47:48.720 pandemic in japan courage contagion yes we are so isolated and most of the people still wear masks so
00:48:00.080 that's why i'm trying to wake japanese people up and we have common enemy so we need to come together and united
00:48:08.000 and uh save our own country by cooperating so and i really admire american people's fight because you are the
00:48:19.440 only citizen who have the final mean to fight against government which is the second amendment we are not
00:48:28.320 allowed to arm ourselves in japan which is um we so we are heavily uh dependent in this matter so
00:48:38.800 i really appreciate american people's fight that's what i would like to tell people well thank you so
00:48:45.600 much masako god bless you next time you're in the us we'll have to go shooting together how's that sound
00:48:50.160 uh yes yes all right sounds great masako kanaha thank you so much for joining us here on human events

00:49:10.160 you
