00:00:00.000 Hey guys, it's Jack. I wanted to let you know that we're starting a new push for subscriptions
00:00:06.800 here on Human Events Daily. So make sure that when you're listening to this podcast, you
00:00:11.900 hit subscribe, you download it, and you share it with five of your friends. Make sure they're
00:00:17.340 all going and downloading as well, because we need to get the signal out as much as possible.
00:00:22.580 Look, we've done so much over the past couple of years since this show started, and we're
00:00:26.760 only going to do so much more. Let's get it.
00:00:56.760 Guthrie was last seen by her family in Tucson. So right now, investigators say they might tap
00:01:01.700 DNA genealogy databases to try to find her. If unidentified DNA evidence can be connected to
00:01:08.620 someone, it would give investigators more information and possibly lead to a suspect
00:01:13.800 in her kidnapping. The billionaire, former Victoria's Secret CEO, Les Wexner, testified today
00:01:20.120 in the House's investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. New pressure on the former Prince Andrew this
00:01:25.960 morning as UK police now say they're examining flight logs at a UK airport used by Jeffrey
00:01:31.340 Epstein's private jet. Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown wants Andrew to face police questions
00:01:36.020 and says Stansted Airport in London was used to fly girls from Eastern Europe, saying his
00:01:41.580 messages link at least one to Britain and the former Prince Andrew. The former Prince Andrew
00:01:46.560 has been arrested, presumably in connection with his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
00:01:51.660 Donald Trump is today set to preside over the first meeting of his Board of Peace.
00:01:56.300 Unresolved questions on the future of Gaza still hanging over the event,
00:01:59.860 expected to include representatives from more than 45 nations,
00:02:03.620 the disarmament of Hamas militants, the size of the Reconstruction Fund
00:02:07.460 and the flow of humanitarian aid to the war-battered populace of Gaza among the major questions.
00:02:13.800 President Trump sticking by diplomacy with indirect nuclear talks with Iran,
00:02:18.600 but fierce power is on the way.
00:02:21.660 Everything is on the table. The president is adding a weapon to the U.S. aircraft carriers, fighter jets and weapons that he's already sent to the Middle East. He's called it an armada.
00:02:31.420 And now is the time for Iran to join us on a path that will complete what we're doing. And if they join us, that'll be great. If they don't join us, that'll be great, too. But it'll be a very different path. 0.65
00:02:44.180 they cannot continue to threaten the stability of the entire region and they must make a deal
00:02:51.220 or if that doesn't happen i maybe can understand if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen but
00:02:56.680 bad things will happen if it doesn't ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard today's episode of human
00:03:05.780 events daily it is thursday february 19th 2026 i am benny ray harmony filling in for jack
00:03:12.100 Posobiec, who is on assignment. He's currently embedded with President Trump during his trip to
00:03:17.920 Rome, Georgia. Now there, the president, he will tour an American factory. He'll visit local
00:03:24.140 businesses and deliver some really powerful remarks on the economy, which we've seen so much
00:03:30.120 of these past few weeks. Now, American affordability is the biggest conversation right
00:03:35.840 now. Earlier today, Jack was front and center for the historic inaugural meeting of the Board of
00:03:41.260 peace, which was held right here in Washington, D.C., with over 40 different countries.
00:03:47.080 Now, tensions are remaining high in the Middle East.
00:03:49.480 Millions are praying for peace and that Iran chooses that diplomacy.
00:03:55.200 And it is President Trump.
00:03:57.380 He's unequivocal.
00:03:58.660 Iran is the biggest conversation right now.
00:04:02.320 We know with this board of peace happening, it's really suffice to say the stakes could
00:04:06.220 not be higher.
00:04:07.180 The country and the world are hanging in the balance.
00:04:09.360 Now, we do have a stacked show lined up for you today.
00:04:12.600 Joining us later will be Joe Lavorno, who is the counselor to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
00:04:18.260 We will have Human Events' own Kenny Cody and my co-host for the program, none other than Kevin Posobiec.
00:04:24.400 Kevin.
00:04:25.840 Hey, you doing, Benny? Nice to be here with you again.
00:04:29.120 Yeah, you too. So, Kevin, you have been watching this morning this Board of Peace meeting.
00:04:34.460 Talk to us a little bit.
00:04:35.720 What were your thoughts on the meeting with tensions so high in Iran?
00:04:41.100 Right, yes.
00:04:41.960 So that is a bit of a talking point there.
00:04:44.780 So we saw initial meeting of all the leaders there, as we've seen posted, a group picture
00:04:51.360 of sorts.
00:04:52.020 We've seen Viktor Orban from Hungary and Javier Malay as well.
00:04:55.840 And this is an initiative set by President Trump from, I guess, you know, he has some
00:05:03.200 some tension with the UN. And so he took this initiative. He said the United States is coming
00:05:08.780 out with $10 billion towards this collectively, another $7 billion on top of that. This is the
00:05:14.560 president. We're going through peace through trade and whatever we can do. I mean, he's sacking up
00:05:20.080 peace deals all around the globe. So he wants to continue on this mission for sure. So we're
00:05:25.260 looking forward to the follow up on that. Yeah. And Kevin, one of the biggest takeaways that I
00:05:30.440 thought was Trump said, you will be finding out in the next 10 days what action the U.S. will take
00:05:35.740 on Iran. Now, this piqued a lot of people's interest because, you know, you have Fox News
00:05:39.640 reporting that it could be as soon as this weekend that something happens, or it could be as late as,
00:05:44.880 you know, mid-March. And so, I mean, with 10 to 13 U.S. warships heading to the region,
00:05:52.040 the Middle East is the main conversation. Do you have a projection as to when you think something
00:05:57.120 will happen from what we've seen, from what Jack has been reporting, and just overall.
00:06:04.340 Well, I mean, popular vote really is to really not get involved, I mean, with Trump and what
00:06:11.700 he's doing here. So I think we'll have a bit of a showdown. I mean, obviously, everybody knows
00:06:17.960 we're there now. We're stacking up aircraft carriers, and it's a show of force. I don't know,
00:06:24.820 to give a estimated guess would maybe be this weekend okay uh maybe so yeah i i mean nobody
00:06:34.760 wants boots on the ground nobody wants anything really but we have tensions from this nuclear
00:06:39.720 threat uh that's been ongoing for several years now uh if not decades depending on who you source
00:06:46.380 so so yeah so hopefully we can we can come to some compromised negotiations uh the president
00:06:54.860 is a master at that so yeah i believe right now what we're seeing is just a show of force
00:06:59.920 to get any active operations in iran to uh back down from what they're what they're currently
00:07:05.420 escalating yeah i agree well we up next are going to be talking to the counselor to treasury
00:07:12.100 Secretary Scott Bessent, Joe Lavorno. And this is going to be a really great conversation. We're
00:07:17.960 going to talk economy, all those things, tariffs, what we can expect, and especially from this
00:07:22.660 historic economic tour that President Trump is on. So we'll be right back here after the break.
00:07:30.020 In our way, in our golden age has just begun. This is Human Events with Jack Posovo. Now it's
00:07:35.840 time for everyone to understand what America first truly means. Welcome to the second American
00:07:43.100 revolution. Welcome back to Human Events Daily. I am Benny Ray Harmony filling in for Jack
00:07:50.500 Posobiec today. I'm joined by my co-host, Kevin Posobiec, the very one and only. And we are
00:07:56.840 actually joined right now by Joe Livornia, who is the counselor to Secretary Scott Bessett.
00:08:02.160 and he's here to talk to us about the economy, Trump's historic visit to Georgia, and the
00:08:07.260 American working man. So Joe, thank you for joining us today. Thank you for having me. Glad
00:08:11.620 to be with you guys. Of course. So Joe, let's get right into this. This historic tour that Trump is
00:08:17.840 doing, visiting factories, and really putting the American working man on his back. He is fighting
00:08:24.780 for him. What can we expect in the coming months to the coming years when it comes to how Trump
00:08:32.500 is standing up for Americans all over the globe and just the work that he's doing? Talk to us a
00:08:38.020 little bit about that. We saw in the first Trump administration, when we looked at real media and
00:08:43.300 household income, you had over a 6,000. What had been essentially over the prior 16 years under
00:08:51.460 both Democrat and Republican presidents, you saw a real increase in living standards across the
00:08:56.360 board with the lower income people outperforming the higher end in percentage terms. That was very
00:09:02.640 important and very historic. And President Trump, having had so much success in his first term,
00:09:07.620 brought that forward into the second term by making sure that we didn't have the biggest
00:09:11.440 tax hike in history, that that was fixed. And then all these other tools to encourage capital
00:09:17.200 investment to encourage building as the president is a builder. We could talk more about that to
00:09:21.960 galvanize the U.S. economy. And what this will do is this will lower the inflation rate. It will
00:09:27.900 improve affordability. Affordability is going to get better because of the actions President Trump
00:09:33.160 has taken. If you look, for example, stopping private equity firms from buying large swaths
00:09:38.600 of housing, that is a very, very powerful tool to try to help get prices down. As inflation moves
00:09:45.540 lower. Mortgage rates will continue to come down. We're down about 1% from where they were last
00:09:51.260 year. And we expect rates to come down further because what the president is doing by unleashing
00:09:56.240 a re-industrial boom, you're going to get lower inflation. So this will all work together to
00:10:02.240 raise workers after-tax wages, raise their take-home pay. And the president is going to be
00:10:08.320 highlighting this in his multi-state tour over the coming months. And Joe, talk to us a little
00:10:14.820 bit about that industrial manufacturing base. Now, we're seeing manufacturing plants. We're
00:10:20.660 seeing jobs come back in troves that we've never seen before. What do you think contributes to
00:10:27.320 this, and specifically what President Trump does for those people? Where did this come from,
00:10:33.520 this passion for that American working class? And yeah.
00:10:38.480 The president's a builder. He's built many buildings over his full career, and he's working with laborers.
00:10:46.540 He can relate to the average Joe, so to speak. He's very comfortable around those people you see it, and producing and building things.
00:10:54.800 But the Trump economic doctrine really includes many things, and they're all integrated.
00:10:58.520 One is you need tariffs because tariffs incentivize high-value-added production to come back to the U.S.
00:11:04.940 That gets married with prudent, pro-business, pro-growth deregulation, combined with low tax rates and cheap and abundant energy.
00:11:13.180 So the president, his policies effectively create an environment where people want to come in and do business.
00:11:19.200 They're incentivized to do business.
00:11:21.000 And we see from all the various announcements from both countries and foreign companies alike that they want to come into the U.S. to bring their capital in.
00:11:29.040 That will help rejuvenate the industrial base.
00:11:31.640 And we are seeing it in data. Things, again, your viewers may not be aware of this. This gets a bit geeky. But things like the Institute of Supply Management had its highest reading in months as the industrial boom kind of is just starting now.
00:11:48.700 Back is it'll become more noticeable, as you hinted at, in jobs, high paying jobs that is coming.
00:11:55.040 and joe i'm really glad you brought up tariffs because i want to talk to you about this so there
00:12:00.800 was just a thing that was released that says that the tariffs that president trump has put into
00:12:05.800 place have actually contributed and helped the deficit by what 80 percent something along those
00:12:12.680 lines talk to us a little bit about those tariffs and how we're seeing that money come back to the
00:12:17.020 u.s so the tariffs have created a tremendous they've raised a tremendous amount of revenue
00:12:22.560 And the hope is that as more companies come in, they produce, hire, tax revenues will rise, get more on the domestic tax base for more production or reindustrialization, revitalization of the manufacturing sector, and the tariffs ultimately will move lower.
00:12:40.600 But in the short term, they've added a tremendous amount of money to the Treasury's coffers.
00:12:45.220 It's one of the reasons that the U.S. bond market, the Treasury market, had a very big rally last year.
00:12:51.420 It was the best performing market among all its industrial peers.
00:12:55.500 And the tariffs on the revenue side are very important.
00:12:58.700 But I also want to add something else, if I'm giving you time.
00:13:01.540 And that is that there was a report earlier this week that came out.
00:13:04.820 The New York Fed said that tariffs are being borne by U.S. consumers and businesses.
00:13:10.620 That's not the case.
00:13:11.800 If you look at the share of consumption that's coming from imports, the math that the New York Fed shows is not correct.
00:13:20.120 There has been a de minimis amount of consumption impact from those tariffs.
00:13:26.140 And what's happened, as you alluded to, is a lot of revenues that's allowed rates to come down, mortgage rates come down, they'll come down further.
00:13:34.060 And again, really improve this affordability issue, which began under the last administration.
00:13:38.200 see benny if i could touch on that too um so trump's first administration he imposed some
00:13:46.900 uh slightly lower tariffs against china and you know we all remember when he said he was he was
00:13:52.620 probably the first president to sell rice back to china but um so the second administration here so
00:13:58.120 jack and i were with secretary bessett in minnesota last last month and we toured the
00:14:04.840 Cambria facility. This is engineered quartz. So that is a major win for tariffs. And, you know,
00:14:12.080 they have a gigantic warehouse all about the American worker. It's family owned for generations.
00:14:19.020 And so that directly competes with China in such a way that they have these incentives and subsidies
00:14:26.100 to sell us like low grade quartz, whatnot, while we get it. And we have to take the hit for that
00:14:31.520 in this market. So these tariffs are really, really punching back against them in this way.
00:14:36.900 And we were there to witness it. We toured it. It was a fantastic warehouse. And yeah,
00:14:42.120 so I think that is what we might see a follow up on today in Georgia.
00:14:49.520 Exactly correct. The U.S. is the biggest economy and the most important consumer.
00:14:54.920 So we sort of use the president's word, hold the cards. And that's why when people say the U.S.
00:15:00.920 consumers and businesses are bearing the brunt of the tariffs, it makes no sense. It's actually
00:15:05.360 being borne by the exporter. They're the ones that are predominantly paying the vast majority
00:15:10.260 of this tariff. And that's what we saw as you alluded to the first trade negotiations. We saw
00:15:15.680 that with China. China essentially ate the tariff. US consumer prices were low and falling. And we're
00:15:22.680 moving back to that same sort of scenario. It's taken a little bit of time. I think we realized
00:15:27.060 that there was a lot of damage that was done before, but the trends are improving. There's
00:15:32.200 a lot more work to be done. Things like energy costs, certain select food products are moving
00:15:37.000 lower. We are seeing shelter costs, rents, things of that sort move down. That's important because
00:15:43.040 that typically means that your cost of housing will fall, again, improving affordability. So
00:15:47.820 we're moving in the right direction. And as the president goes on more tours and does more events,
00:15:52.880 it'll be much more evident that our policies which work extraordinarily well in the first term
00:15:57.620 have been rejuvenated and uh accelerated in a way that will have even a better economy you're
00:16:04.220 even seeing that in the gdp data and importantly the jobs will follow from this i think that's
00:16:09.040 what people want people want the jobs and that's what's going to be you know delivered yeah that's
00:16:14.620 that's yeah that's exactly right especially we have these incentives from the department of labor
00:16:19.120 they are posting these art deco things talking about apprenticeship programs so affordability
00:16:24.580 though joe is um you know this is quartz okay engineered quartz for countertops i forgot to
00:16:29.880 say that at first so all the things you see in commercial hotels and even residential that
00:16:34.420 very nice products for our countertops and these are mined in north america so just just simply uh
00:16:42.500 you know we don't want to pay for the shipping around the world for quartz we could get better
00:16:47.920 quality courts right in north america here in america so joe that is definitely i want into this
00:16:54.160 we have we have a few minutes left here i want to touch on the scotus review that is happening this
00:17:00.200 is in the news a lot people are talking about it the review of trump's tariffs what does this look
00:17:05.120 like if the if the supreme court rules in in favor against trump will we have to pay back
00:17:11.920 those tariffs that were put into place talk to us a little bit about this the secretary sat in on
00:17:17.720 the court ruling. He was confident that we made a very powerful argument and that the Supreme
00:17:22.500 Court will not overrule the president's signature policy or one of his signature policies. He's
00:17:28.560 accomplished a lot, and we'll have to see what happens. But we're confident that tariffs,
00:17:33.740 there's been such a powerful tool to encouraging foreign capital to come in to deal with these
00:17:39.560 emergencies, which are significant. Fentanyl, the decaying of the U.S. manufacturing base,
00:17:46.660 which only President Trump integral a necessary part to essentially deal with this emergency.
00:17:55.580 So we'll see when the court rules them. Obviously, it could be very soon, and then we'll take it from there.
00:18:00.400 But the tariffs in some form or fashion will certainly be here.
00:18:04.400 It's essential for the U.S. economy to grow and to produce things again like the president wants and to create these high paying jobs,
00:18:12.200 which are starting to come back. And again, I'm confident we'll continue to grow and expand in
00:18:16.500 the months and years ahead. Well, Counselor, thank you so much for your time today. I do
00:18:21.560 just want to point out that Secretary Besant will be giving a speech tomorrow at the Economic Club
00:18:27.920 at around 2 p.m. That will be during this show. So make sure you tune in. Joe, thank you so much.
00:18:34.920 Thank you, Joe.
00:18:35.400 so kevin yes let's talk let's talk about this we have about 40 seconds left but how about that
00:18:46.500 economy i mean just knowing that president trump is surrounded by people like counselor joe and
00:18:52.640 like secretary besson it's great it's fantastic i mean so besson is also going after fraud
00:18:59.220 and all this so that's a major thing we got to stay focused on but also trump's asking uh you
00:19:04.840 know for this the gold card thing so he's he's pulling in businesses too from overseas so we've
00:19:10.500 got to follow up on that i mean if they're you know pulling them in and also implementing tariffs
00:19:15.880 yeah that's going to be interesting to see how it plays out yeah well we will be right back here
00:19:20.280 with more human events daily we'll be giving you an update on the guthrie case so stay right here
00:19:24.000 we'll see you soon
00:19:24.640 talk about influences these are influences and they're friends of mine jack
00:19:35.240 welcome back to human events daily up next the story that is gripping the nation this story has
00:19:48.500 not just traveled across our nation, but overseas. The Nancy Guthrie case, this is one that has
00:19:55.400 truly wrecked many and has created many questions. Now, my co-host today, Kevin Posobiec, he has been
00:20:03.160 on the ground for the past seven days in Tucson, Arizona. Now, Kevin has been doing some amazing
00:20:09.140 reporting on this case, giving us those facts, those opinions, what he is seeing. And so I want
00:20:14.560 to bring him in on this and kevin talk to us what have these seven days been like on the ground
00:20:20.380 in the desert in tucson what is it like well i can say uh confidently that we have some waves
00:20:28.980 of information coming we have sometimes you'll know uh the press release and sometimes fbi says
00:20:35.860 something and christopher nanos the pima county sheriff he comes in and he doesn't give a press
00:20:41.580 conference but he gives an exclusive interview to some other people um so it's been a bit of a
00:20:47.140 back and forth it's a classic whodunit you know i i won't say uh murder mystery because we really
00:20:53.500 don't know but it is this classic kind of thing which is gripping everyone's attention and of
00:20:58.280 course the guthrie family and savannah herself they've they've uh produced about four videos
00:21:03.400 uh you know pleading for her safety and for everyone to do the right thing and so i'm i'm
00:21:10.220 in that camp you know i'm hopeful i still believe that uh she's out there and hopefully she's you
00:21:16.480 know being attended to so i could give you an update as far as today so currently uh i've
00:21:22.440 been giving daily updates for real america's voice here so we're having word of some polygraphs um
00:21:28.680 with people in question uh we don't know who their names are um but that's the latest for
00:21:36.100 for the polygraphs also we're getting reports in sources telling me that some of the media is
00:21:41.460 traveling over the border down to nogales uh in mexico so that it's a bit of a split town there
00:21:47.900 on the border uh so there's an american arizona side and then also the mexican side to to get
00:21:54.140 questions from any locals there i don't know what that will produce exactly um because it is so high
00:22:00.020 profile that some people are are might just not be willing to talk and that's what we're seeing
00:22:06.120 with the neighborhood locals too some of them are disgruntled some of them are in favor of having
00:22:11.680 the media there and just yesterday as well law enforcement became a little uh not irate but
00:22:20.640 they they were they were making claims that uh media should leave okay leave the scene and
00:22:27.540 And so what I saw on the ground there, I mean, I'm just a field correspondent, so I have a small setup.
00:22:33.520 And, you know, but some of these people are like parked out front.
00:22:36.600 They're sleeping out in their cars, like media, salaried people.
00:22:40.360 And so I get that.
00:22:41.680 But also the neighborhood is also saying they want the media to be there to cover, just to be respectful of the road.
00:22:48.860 It's a narrow road.
00:22:50.460 So that's probably today and a bit of yesterday's updates.
00:22:54.140 and but yeah we've seen a SWAT raid as well on Friday the 13th I live streamed that I was one
00:23:01.380 of the first people there on the corner where we saw a bomb truck go in and two SWAT trucks come
00:23:07.880 out and the whole convoy so there's a lot you you mentioned you know the SWAT trucks and the
00:23:14.720 different things the different agencies that you're seeing around there I think one of the
00:23:19.560 most uh kind of confusing and and thing that's throwing a lot of people for the for a loop is
00:23:25.440 the fact that you know the federal authority versus the local authority right the the the
00:23:30.680 is it is it pimo pima there the sheriff there you know that that person that individual knows that
00:23:37.280 land that person is around that person has lived there for a long time and then you have those
00:23:42.180 federal authorities coming in do you think do you think there's some sort of maybe are there
00:23:47.300 conversations being done between those two organizations and groups you know yeah what
00:23:53.360 has that it kind of seems like a little drama going on what do you have to say about that
00:23:58.280 well there's there is definitely a little bit of drama going on to as an understatement so
00:24:04.480 sheriff chris fernanos he's been in there for decades he's the head honcho pima county's huge
00:24:10.920 okay this is 9 000 square miles that's bigger than most east coast states and you know so he's
00:24:17.180 on record in 2016 saying that he does not like the fbi getting involved so you know fast forward
00:24:23.760 that was about 10 years ago so initially he said no guys we got it pretty much like we don't need
00:24:29.560 your help and in the initial days but lo and behold that famous uh video now that we see
00:24:36.500 of the suspect in front of the nancy's home that had to be acquired by the fbi to even get that
00:24:43.220 footage released so that wasn't even credited to the pima county so moving forward though moving
00:24:50.060 forward to be fair they have been excuse me uh forced into these joint operations as we saw the
00:24:57.780 uh the signal sniffer with the helicopter tracking nancy's pacemaker and also border patrol even was
00:25:04.940 even assisting in surveillance with their helicopters tracking down gloves articles of
00:25:09.700 clothing, whatnot. And so, yeah, now they are working in conjunction, but still, Benny, I mean,
00:25:15.780 we have just a lack of official press conferences and statements. So we're being trickle-fed into
00:25:23.560 this information. So the final point is, yes, there's very much tension and there's a bit of
00:25:32.480 an ego clash. This guy wants to build his legacy, maybe have a statue built out of himself or
00:25:37.560 something like that it's so it's very unsettling the whole thing in my opinion it's it's very
00:25:43.180 unsettling but you mentioned the media situation and and how some of these members of the media
00:25:49.240 may be traveling down to mexico now one of the biggest conversations that i am seeing on um on
00:25:55.620 social media and stuff like this is the media will be the these independent journalists like
00:26:01.040 yourself uh you know kevin that is out there with an iphone and shooting these things they are saying
00:26:06.900 this is how this case will be solved. It will be the people with eyes. It will be the Americans
00:26:13.220 that are just normal people. They will be the ones that solve this. Now, your brother, actually,
00:26:18.240 Jack, he tweeted just the other day, it's obvious that traditional media keeps attacking new media
00:26:23.460 covering the Nancy Guthrie case because they are losing tons of market share. Can't compete with
00:26:28.780 the views the independents are getting. Do you agree with this? Absolutely. Yeah, I agree with
00:26:34.780 this so so i'm still on the train of you know mainstream media is fake news right i last time
00:26:40.780 i checked we had a president that famously said that and and so we're providing that still i had
00:26:46.540 a hit piece written on me because i'm just a field correspondent so i have a smaller setup
00:26:51.140 so whatever reason therefore i i've been uh you know bullied around on the scene there
00:26:57.280 so but either way you know we're kicking butt here we're getting the views we're pumping content out
00:27:03.960 And we're actually ending up helping more than they are.
00:27:07.380 Yeah, you're doing a great job out there, Kevin, on the ground.
00:27:11.440 Now, we do have Kenny Cody who will be coming up next.
00:27:13.960 And we're going to do a deep dive into the big Iran question.
00:27:18.740 So stay right here. 0.98
00:27:20.020 Will there be peace?
00:27:21.200 Will there not?
00:27:21.920 Right here, Human Events Daily.
00:27:28.200 Where is Jack?
00:27:30.660 Where is Jack?
00:27:32.740 Where is he?
00:27:33.960 Jack, I want to see you.
00:27:37.760 Great job, Jack.
00:27:39.240 Thank you.
00:27:39.960 What a job you do.
00:27:41.400 You know, we have an incredible thing.
00:27:42.800 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the
00:27:47.260 guys who will be getting policies. 0.77
00:27:48.880 And now is the time for Iran to join us on a path that will complete what we're doing.
00:27:55.740 And if they join us, that'll be great.
00:27:57.260 If they don't join us, that'll be great, too.
00:27:59.940 But it'll be a very different path.
00:28:01.580 They cannot continue to threaten the stability of the entire region and they must make a deal or if that doesn't happen, I maybe can understand if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.
00:28:13.960 But bad things will happen if it doesn't.
00:28:20.940 Welcome back to Human Events Daily.
00:28:22.720 I am your guest host today, Benny Bray Harmony, along with my co-host, Kevin Posobiec.
00:28:28.580 And we are joined right now by a good friend, Kenny Cody of Human Events.
00:28:34.580 And we are going to be talking all things Board of Peace Iran.
00:28:38.720 There is a lot to break down, Kenny.
00:28:40.600 First off, I want to hear your perspective, your opinion on the Board of Peace meeting that we saw this morning.
00:28:47.160 Over 40 different countries here.
00:28:49.480 What was your take on this?
00:28:51.700 Well, it's what President Trump's been campaigning on over the last 10 years.
00:28:54.720 instead of, you know, intervention, instead of war, instead of this idea of an interventionist
00:28:59.460 mindset. It's Trump collaborating with foreign leaders and trying to bring peace not only to
00:29:04.140 the United States, but to the world. You know, the United States has been the police of the world
00:29:07.720 for such a long time. It's got itself intertwined in different kind of conflicts in the Middle East
00:29:12.640 and across Europe and all over the world in times where it probably shouldn't have happened. But I
00:29:17.400 think the best thing that can be prioritized is negotiation, is diplomacy. And I think Trump's
00:29:22.640 not only bringing peace to the United States and bringing peace to the military, but trying to find
00:29:27.860 solutions and trying to find, you know, end games that will benefit the United States, benefit the
00:29:33.300 military, benefit these families that are sending their kids overseas to potentially put themselves
00:29:37.920 in harm's way. And I think that's the most important thing we can take away, you know,
00:29:40.660 being from Appalachia, being from Tennessee, you know, I see a lot of people, I'm one of my best
00:29:45.320 friends in the world is a 10-year veteran in the military currently in the Air Force, and I don't
00:29:50.500 want to see him shift overseas for no reason. I don't want to see him shift overseas to get
00:29:54.540 intertwined in conflicts he shouldn't be intertwined in. So I think, you know, the Board of Peace
00:29:58.440 and these kinds of negotiations and these kinds of collaborations with foreign leaders are the
00:30:03.100 best solution and the America First mindset that President Trump campaigned on, went on in 2024,
00:30:08.060 and originally come up with in 2016. So I think he's continuing to carry on promises and continuing
00:30:12.640 to fulfill all the promises that he's been campaigning on for the last 10 years.
00:30:16.700 And Kenny, along with your work that you do right here, you are also, you're an Appalachian Republican running for Tennessee's 11th House District.
00:30:28.840 We want to know, what's the word on the street about war there in good old Tennessee?
00:30:34.260 Well, I think most people here, I think that went along with the Republican Party over the last 10 years in changing the mindset.
00:30:40.080 and because I think they see a lot of young men around my age or a little bit younger that are
00:30:44.860 getting sent overseas and they know veterans they know military families they know people from around
00:30:50.140 here and they want to know that they are safe they want to know that they are you know the wars
00:30:54.800 they're fighting for are worth it you know they're not getting intertwined in the Russian Ukrainian
00:30:58.100 war they're not getting intertwined in Middle East war that are not necessitated by force and I think
00:31:03.460 that they know that they voted for a president that's going to prioritize those young men are
00:31:09.100 going to prioritize those people that are going straight from either high school or college or
00:31:13.800 the workforce into the military and not wanting to put their lives at risk. You know, I know so many
00:31:18.640 veterans here in House District 11. I know so many people that are currently enlisted in the
00:31:23.500 military. Like I said, one of my best friends is listed in the Air Force and, you know, I pray for
00:31:27.640 him nearly nightly because I don't want him in harm's way. But I feel comfortable in being a
00:31:32.220 constituent here and being a citizen here in Appalachia, knowing that my best friend's life
00:31:37.560 is protected by the decisions that President Trump is making, such as the board piece and such
00:31:41.340 as the anti-interventionist mindset that he has brought to the United States. And I know that he
00:31:46.160 is putting veterans first, he's putting Americans first, and he's putting the people of Appalachia
00:31:50.200 and House District 11 first. And that's why I'm a strong supporter of him and will continue to be
00:31:53.700 in the Tennessee State House if elected. Yeah. And Kevin, you or Kenny can chime in on this,
00:31:59.740 but the big question is, you know, we're hearing lots of, okay, we're talking about peace. We're
00:32:04.200 talking, we're negotiating, you know, you know, no nuclear forces from one to the other, things
00:32:09.540 like that. But what do you think those conversations really look like when it comes to
00:32:14.520 peace and coming to making sure the Middle East has peace, not just for now, but for decades and
00:32:21.160 the future to come? Yeah. So the anti-interventionalist mindset, that is a good one.
00:32:28.100 So what I, you know, I'm going to stick by what I voted for is no new wars, peace through strength, peace through trade. 1.00
00:32:37.460 OK, so my take is that, you know, Iran seems to be a little behind in their technology, their culture. 0.70
00:32:45.480 Everybody's talking about nuclear bombs being developed, this and that. 0.54
00:32:49.620 But we're over here developing all kinds of new technology, AI and potential laser weapons nowadays.
00:32:56.060 so they're just a little behind us okay and really i mean so you take that and and nuclear
00:33:02.940 energy comes to my mind you know so maybe we could do this kind of trade negotiations um i mean we're
00:33:10.040 already basically out front of their house right now um in iran staging these warships so we're 0.93
00:33:17.240 definitely um imposing on them or or what do they say nowadays the zoomers say they're mogging them 0.94
00:33:23.480 We're vogging Iran. And so I think it's just an intimidation tactic and that Trump will get correspondence. 0.99
00:33:32.460 And obviously, I mean, we can barely get information out of the Guthrie case.
00:33:36.460 So there's obviously intel that the public isn't being told.
00:33:40.000 I mean, justifiably so. This is a very high stakes global a global event.
00:33:46.760 So I'm relying on the president to handle this as he does.
00:33:51.880 He's a master, you know, negotiating deals here.
00:33:56.840 So yes, he is.
00:33:58.600 That's where I stand on it.
00:34:00.380 Yeah.
00:34:00.820 And Kenny, it appears we heard this morning that there's this 10 day clock.
00:34:05.400 President Trump said within 10 days, we're going to hear something.
00:34:07.920 You're going to see something. 0.51
00:34:09.880 What does the world look like if Iran chooses defiance over diplomacy?
00:34:15.100 I mean, it's a really genuine question.
00:34:17.480 I mean, what would the future look like?
00:34:20.200 Well, as with as the Trump has done with any other country that is opposed to the United States or opposed its allies, I think he would try negotiation first or at least try the threat of the United States firepower first and then later negotiate.
00:34:33.800 I mean, you saw even even a year ago in the in the Iran negotiations last year and the threat of war last year, it was used as a negotiation tactic.
00:34:43.020 And now that we have the board piece, I think those negotiations can be facilitated even further.
00:34:48.500 And the United States is going to lead those negotiations. Of course, that threat with Pete Hegseth leading the Department of War. I think there's a reason it got named the Department of War. It's because that threat of war needs to be there. That threat of firepower needs to be there, but only in necessity.
00:35:02.240 And I think that's the main thing that Pete Hexeth and Donald Trump and Marco Rubio are all prioritizing is not just getting the military involved when it can be, but when it has to be.
00:35:13.080 And I think using that as a negotiation tactic will be the first thing that they probably do, as has been used in the past.
00:35:19.000 But this new board and this new organization that has been formed will necessitate probably a quicker response than IRM was willing to give maybe even a year ago and maybe even sometime last year.
00:35:29.160 But now we're going to be able to see, I think, a lot more negotiation tactics, the use of firepower, the use of collaboration with allies that we can probably rely on.
00:35:38.080 And Trump has obviously relied on with this board to facilitate those kinds of talks, to facilitate this kind of peace.
00:35:45.080 And I think by that threat of firepower, that threat of kind of unpredictability that Trump has been so consistent about during foreign policy,
00:35:52.660 I think that it's going to be more successful than ever before when it comes to those foreign policy negotiations with our AM.
00:35:57.580 Yeah. And then the question, Kevin, is the cost of war, right? We just had Joe Livorno, and he's a very vocal American sentiment. He said this. He said that forever wars don't benefit the American working man. What do you say? What do you say, Kevin?
00:36:15.060 no they don't benefit the the american working men and that includes soldiers okay these are men
00:36:20.840 in uniform so if we play the tape out a little bit i mean yeah okay so we bombed iran you know
00:36:28.160 their nuclear facility with the bomber that you know the stealth bombers and we we we stopped 0.52
00:36:35.220 them okay we we blew it all a bit midnight hammer and yes yes so if they are being defiant and they
00:36:41.800 want to uh just i guess they i'm assuming again we don't know the intel but uh they rebuilt
00:36:47.120 everything or they're just continued on so we've played the tape out okay ayatollah khamenei okay
00:36:53.100 he's he's pushing for this or whatever if we're gonna take take him out whatnot you know and then
00:37:00.180 bomb infrastructure so so you're talking about a corrupt government and you know broken infrastructure
00:37:06.820 how do we pay for that right how do we pay for that when in reality back here at home we still
00:37:12.920 have our own problems with our own government with uh you know anti-ice measures and this and
00:37:20.520 that and we have our own infrastructure problems with bridges falling down and boats crashing into 1.00
00:37:25.040 them and you know we got h1b drivers crashing into people illegal illegal immigrants so we have all
00:37:31.860 these problems at home. So are we going to be able to foot the bill for that over there when 0.98
00:37:36.920 we have all the bills over here? I don't know. Well, Kevin, I think, and Kenny, I want you to
00:37:41.540 chime in on this, but I think that's one of the biggest things that goes back to the America first.
00:37:45.940 The whole aspect of the Trump presidency is America first. And he knows that there has to
00:37:51.160 be peace in order for America to be put first, right? You have to make sure that those other
00:37:56.600 countries aren't a threat to you. And so I think that by the way, he's doing it with this board of
00:38:01.240 peace. I think this is a great indicator of what is to come, and hopefully Iran takes some tips
00:38:06.460 from this. Kenny, we have 20 seconds. Do you have any final thoughts? I mean, I think you saw with 1.00
00:38:11.500 the Venezuela actions that firepower and that threat of firepower helps out Americans. It helps 0.59
00:38:16.480 out our country, and I think Trump's going to be able to do that here in the next few months.
00:38:21.120 We'll be right back here with more Human Events Daily. We'll see you soon.
00:38:24.220 jack is a great guy he's written that fantastic book everybody's talking about it go get it
00:38:35.500 and he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event
00:38:39.540 and we're going to turn it around and make our country great amen
00:38:43.540 welcome back to human events daily i am your host today benny ray harmony along with my co-host
00:38:52.160 Kevin Posobiec, and we are joined by Kenny Cody, who is another family member here at Human Events,
00:38:58.440 but he is also running for Congress in Tennessee. But we have some breaking news as of right now.
00:39:04.220 So this morning when we woke up, we got the news that Prince Andrew was arrested in connection
00:39:08.760 to potentially using that public office to share confidential information in regards to Epstein.
00:39:16.220 But some breaking news right now, it does appear that he was released from being held, but he is still under investigation, our Kevin Posobiec said.
00:39:28.200 So, Kenny, let's talk about this.
00:39:30.000 What is your take on this entire Prince Andrew situation?
00:39:34.000 And in my opinion, this just goes to show no one is above the law, even royals.
00:39:39.360 Yeah, no one is above the law, even royals.
00:39:40.680 And, you know, I think I wish some things would happen here in our own country to elitists like Bill Clinton and elitists like Hillary Clinton had connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
00:39:48.080 You know, President Trump was basically exonerated in anything and has been proven to be somebody who actually took Jeffrey Epstein down.
00:39:54.460 And I think these elites that have anything to do with Epstein, such as Stephen Hawking and others, Bill Gates or whoever else, needs to be held accountable.
00:40:01.560 I mean, I think that that's pretty obvious.
00:40:02.940 You know, I think it's been a hoax in the direction that, you know, President Trump called it one because it was protecting the elitists like Prince Andrew and not concentrating on the people that need to be concentrated on.
00:40:14.620 And I'm glad to see some accountability by Prince Andrew.
00:40:17.040 I mean, he has to quit calling him Prince because that title was removed after these allegations came out and these files came out on him.
00:40:23.660 And I'm glad to be him seeing him being held accountable.
00:40:26.460 And I think that even though he's been released, the investigation is still ongoing.
00:40:30.180 Hopefully this is the first string of many actual accountability arrests that we see.
00:40:34.720 And nobody was above the law, as Benny just said.
00:40:36.660 And I think we need to see the same accountability for the elites that have been corrupting our country, have been abusing children, have been abusing the system for so long.
00:40:45.920 And that's mostly Democrats.
00:40:47.800 That's mostly the elitists that have been propping up the union party in our country.
00:40:52.260 And I think that this is the first of many that we need to see.
00:40:54.960 Kevin, I want to come to you next.
00:40:56.620 We were chatting earlier.
00:40:57.820 It has been, what, 400 years since a member of the royal family, a royal family member was arrested.
00:41:05.520 And actually, Andrew Colvett, he just put out on X.
00:41:09.040 In 2010, Andrew appears to have forwarded government reports from visits to Vietnam, Singapore and China to Epstein.
00:41:16.920 Kevin, files relating to the late financing recently released by the U.S. Department, they appear to show.
00:41:24.220 So he was sharing those state secrets as a member of the royal family.
00:41:28.260 Your thoughts?
00:41:30.140 Yes, exactly.
00:41:31.340 And that's what the initial charges were, that it is a misconduct in public office.
00:41:38.160 These are forwarded confidential trade documents as he was a trade envoy in his previous roles.
00:41:46.200 So I got to say, I mean, we've heard rumors about Prince Andrew over the years, and this is in America.
00:41:53.820 i can't imagine what they're saying about him in in in the uk so they have intel of what his his
00:42:01.980 whereabouts and what his dealings were okay but it seems that they were kind of waiting because
00:42:07.900 america had the files here and this latest dump has really more or less confirmed what they had
00:42:14.940 in the uk so that is to me a direction that you know they took in order to apprehend him today
00:42:22.300 and hold him in norfolk but yeah it's been since the 17th century about 400 odd years since this
00:42:28.940 has happened so and that's big that's a big deal okay that's a big deal this is a royal family
00:42:34.300 member so that is this is not going to look good overall it's already global news and you know he's
00:42:40.700 been stripped of his titles and military honors just last year so with all that i mean this guy
00:42:47.820 he's he's dealing with world leaders world economic forum types yeah and so there's plenty
00:42:54.320 of scandals and and last i want to touch on i mean he's still under investigation but i was
00:43:00.900 i was also thinking maybe earlier like if they did arrest him and hold him like you know with
00:43:07.180 all this talk to epstein i mean we we know what happened to him while he was being held in jail
00:43:11.600 so that's a good point it's an it's an interesting development um but yeah we're gonna we're gonna
00:43:16.940 stay on this as much as we can today. We actually we just got a video from Jack. He is on the ground
00:43:24.160 with President Trump in Rome, Georgia. Hopefully we'll get that up here in a few minutes. But yeah,
00:43:30.100 this just continues. You know, one of the big things, the big takeaways I took this morning
00:43:34.580 when watching all of this was Prince Andrew said he doesn't remember the photos being taken of him
00:43:40.600 with Virginia, the one Epstein victim. He says he... Oh, we got Poso? We got Poso ready? Here,
00:43:49.940 we're going to take a look. Jack is on the ground in Georgia with President Trump. Let's roll the
00:43:53.620 clip. All right, Jack, it's so great that we're here traveling with the president today. Just
00:43:59.580 wrapped up the Board of Peace inaugural meeting. We're here. Joint base, Andrews, you can see
00:44:06.100 behind me, multiple frames of the world leaders that are here on the air trip today.
00:44:11.840 I'll turn around.
00:44:15.540 See the president there.
00:44:16.840 He's getting on the plane.
00:44:17.860 Members of the senior staff now also arriving, not taking time for any questions.
00:44:24.380 So we'll see if you have the opportunity for him to take any questions on the plane.
00:44:30.860 Of course, you want to know questions, obviously, about Gaza, about this reported
00:44:35.780 military-based committee put down the International Security Force.
00:44:40.260 Who is going to staff that question, of course, about Iran?
00:44:43.320 President Trump saying 10 days.
00:44:45.720 We will know within 10 days.
00:44:47.240 What will we know?
00:44:48.300 What does he know?
00:44:49.200 What's coming out?
00:44:50.760 Jack Lasovic here for Human Events Daily.
00:44:53.700 We're on our way down to Georgia.
00:44:56.120 We're on Air Force One.
00:44:58.140 We will let you know everything that we can as soon as we can.
00:45:01.580 Back to the show later.
00:45:03.400 Take it off.
00:45:05.780 You can see right there on the screen, President Trump is getting off Air Force One, greeting those people right there on the tarmac.
00:45:13.000 We're following this. Let's watch this here as he arrives.
00:45:18.060 Take a look. I can't see exactly who he is talking to at the moment, but Kevin, take it.
00:45:25.760 Wow. Yeah. So we see Trump coming down.
00:45:28.540 It looks to be probably leaders of Georgia warehouse managers, you know, of the sort.
00:45:36.480 He's going to be doing a tour of warehouses and small businesses.
00:45:40.200 I mean, I love when I saw him, you know, go through Philadelphia and get a cheesesteak or up in New York in a little bodega.
00:45:46.740 This is classic Trump we're seeing.
00:45:48.760 This is iconic Trump.
00:45:50.500 This is what, you know, we all love to see.
00:45:52.960 I mean, on the ground talking to the American workers.
00:45:55.820 It's a small business that we love.
00:45:58.320 this is also, you know, what we see up in Appalachia. And I think the Appalachian Trail
00:46:02.840 goes down through Georgia, too. I'm pretty sure that's an East Coast mountain range here.
00:46:08.100 So, yeah, we're looking forward to it. You know, maybe we'll see some Georgia peaches.
00:46:12.740 And Kevin, Kevin, I just want to point out, this is a historic moment right here on the screen.
00:46:18.720 I mean, there has never been a president, a president that has fought so hard for the
00:46:24.940 american people it is absolutely incredible you watch him he doesn't sleep all he does is fight
00:46:31.080 for the american people whether it's in georgia whether it's in where texas everywhere across the
00:46:37.320 united states this man is fighting for us and that is what this tour is all about
00:46:42.020 it sure is it sure is i mean so yeah again i mean he's going through this is probably tariff
00:46:52.100 related we're we're hoping to see another successful story come out of this like i said
00:46:57.060 when we were at the cambria company in minnesota so if we could do a little check here and see you
00:47:03.700 know what is a major producer out of georgia and yeah kenny kenny you are in you're in you are in
00:47:11.760 i mean you are in the actual american i mean i would say tennessee is as american as you can get
00:47:18.400 right? Appalachia, all the things. Talk to us a little bit more about the work that President
00:47:23.580 Trump's doing, your home state of Tennessee, and that run for Congress and how what Trump is doing
00:47:28.840 encouraged you to do that. Yeah, you know, running for the Tennessee State House of Representatives
00:47:33.100 is such a great honor, you know, trying to represent the Appalachia Mountains, represent
00:47:36.740 where we're from in the Tennessee General Assembly. But, you know, that's one of the reasons that I'm
00:47:40.760 running is to see that Trump cares about the modern American worker. I mean, all of our district is
00:47:45.740 nothing but hardworking, blue-collar Americans. You're not going to find any elitist millionaires
00:47:49.460 billionaires in Cock County, in Jefferson County, or in Hamlin County that I'm willing to represent.
00:47:53.760 You're going to find the same people that he just shook hands with there. You saw Herschel Walker,
00:47:57.640 you saw leaders from Georgia that he was just shaking hands with there, and a manufacturing
00:48:01.720 plant, and these businesses that he has promised to protect, and using tariffs, and bringing
00:48:07.020 manufacturing back from China, eliminating, outsourcing, bringing companies back here,
00:48:11.760 and benefiting Appalachians and benefiting the Southern region.
00:48:15.140 That's exactly what I'm ready to do is to help him do that.
00:48:17.840 Kenny, thank you so much for joining us today.
00:48:20.200 Kev, great to have you as a co-host.
00:48:22.540 We will see you guys next time right here on Human Events.
