00:07:05.700happy franco friday to all who celebrate be right back jackson
00:07:15.000in our way in our golden age has just begun this is human events with jack
00:07:34.720now it's time for everyone to understand what america first truly means welcome
00:07:40.360Welcome to the second American Revolution.
00:07:48.180All right, folks, Jack Posobiec back live here.
00:07:50.920Human Events Daily, Real America's Voice.
00:07:54.580And our next guest, I want to get on because, you know, we've been talking economics.
00:07:59.720And, of course, you know, we want to get into this as we go into the midterms because we've been looking at the economic,
00:08:05.860These questions about cost of living, these questions about instability, these questions about the purchasing power of the dollar, all of these things, gas prices, all of it's coming up, and instability globally.
00:08:17.340From Spain, of course, where this is the Strait of Gibraltar, by the way, so from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Strait of Hormuz, there are so many questions about the instability that's going on right now.
00:08:30.780So to bring on one of our favorite guests, you know, of course, from Allegiance Gold, Alex Upkarian joins us now.
00:08:54.680Well, I have to say, and, you know, personally on air and thank you for, you know, we were talking about it, you know, when it happened, but you guys stepped up and Allegiance Gold was able to come in when we were out there in Utah covering the hearing in the murder trial of Charlie Kirk's accused assassin that it was, it was, you know, we were on the X and we were in a hostile environment.
00:09:19.100and you guys stepped up and provided security
00:09:21.640for the Human Events crew while we were out there.
00:09:24.800And I just wanted to publicly thank you,
00:09:26.920deeply, deeply thank you from the bottom of my heart
00:09:29.140and Tanya and of course the kids, thank you as well.
00:09:31.880She was very worried about me being out there,
00:09:34.360but I felt that it was very important for me to be there.
00:09:37.320And just knowing that I had somebody watching my back
00:09:40.300that you guys took care of, it meant the whole world to us.
00:09:44.140Of course, this is what the partnership is about,
00:09:46.560especially when security and protection is in our veins so we get it well and it was interesting
00:09:53.660that you that you mentioned that because you know i'm thinking about what you do it really is all
00:09:59.060about security isn't it because it's just about it's it's about what you've you've accumulated
00:10:03.460what you've you've worked so hard for you know you work your fingers to the bone to provide for
00:10:07.120your family or you know for yourself you build things uh and then maybe you have staff maybe
00:10:12.000do a bit, whatever, whatever, you know, different people's situation is, you want to protect those
00:10:16.760things as well. This is, this is, you know, obviously directly, that's why they call it
00:10:22.140your livelihood, because it's tied to your life. And so it really is a big part of security is to
00:10:28.700make sure that, hey, by the way, you know, something's going on at the US dollar, you've
00:10:33.420got all your, all your savings in dollars, you might not be as secure as you think. And, you
00:10:39.680know for a lot of people that's that's something that they've had to learn something that there's
00:10:44.440a learning curve is certainly for myself um and uh and i just really appreciate the way that you
00:10:49.580guys have have provided that education as well absolutely i mean at the end of the day we're
00:10:55.480we're in the trust business yes we're a physical precious metals dealer and anyone can provide
00:11:00.740gold and silver but the relationship the education the transparency thinking about the long term and
00:11:06.360and really taking the time and understanding why is this the right fit?
00:11:10.220Those are the tough questions that we have to ask.
00:11:12.120And that's the foundation of the relationship.
00:11:33.920the northern straight of the northern mouth of the Red Sea, rather, on the Mediterranean,
00:11:39.880that it really raises questions about what's going to happen with the U.S. dollar.
00:11:45.680That's exactly what I was thinking of.
00:11:47.440So I wanted to just kind of get your thoughts on that as it seems as this summer is turning hot,
00:11:53.540not just in the parks and in the summer sun, but also in terms of the markets
00:12:02.540and, you know, obviously in terms of warfare as well. Absolutely. Look, we got a lot to talk
00:12:09.060about, but I want to start with a political angle. I think it's important. As we're headed to the
00:12:14.260midterms, and I talked about this, we're almost about 100 days away because it's, you know, my
00:12:18.680wife's birthday is around the same time. We can't miss that day. So essentially what I was looking
00:12:23.640at is what's really happening on the left. Are they going to politicize the war? Are they going
00:12:27.920to politicize the budget, the inflation, all of that? But what's really concerning is that
00:12:32.480There was a survey done. It showed two out of three Democrats are really leaning on the socialistic side.
00:12:38.860Why is that important? Because if you depend on the government and if the government is your your sugar daddy, so to speak, you don't need to worry about security.
00:12:47.320You don't need to worry about protection because that hand is given to you.
00:12:50.940You did not earn it. People that have worked hard and have money that they've built, valuing what they have becomes a lot more important.
00:12:59.760it looks like we have a power outage here yeah yeah you guys all right you have uh
00:13:06.240do you have yeah you have a throw you could uh if you have a light on your phone that might uh
00:13:11.860i use that sometimes but i can i can hear you okay oh there we go we're back we're back there
00:13:17.040you go all right so yeah so we're good yeah see see what i mean instability folks it can strike
00:13:22.240whenever whenever you where you you least uh expect and you got to roll with the punches right
00:13:29.080Because I can't complain to the LADWP saying, hey, you're ruining our interview.
00:21:04.400look whatever your financial objectives are gold has a place because the strong hand the central
00:21:10.120banks or even the chinese government and their allies because china learned we need numbers
00:21:15.200there's power and strength there's power in numbers so we have this little by little movement
00:21:20.780towards the dollar away from the dollar i should say nothing's going to happen overnight but if you
00:21:26.240think about the next two to three four or five years what if one of the policies are not correct
00:21:30.700What if there's been a delay in making the right adjustments?
00:21:33.640You don't want to be the one being affected.
00:21:36.280And that's where gold comes into play.
00:21:38.460Proactive way to preserve your buying power.
00:21:40.740If you have the right intention going in, you're not going to compare your gold to NVIDIA or Apple.
00:21:46.880You won't be disappointed because if you look at the numbers, historically, it's actually outperformed the S&P 500 index if you look at the last 20, 25 years.
00:21:57.000So with that being said, the first thing you got to do is understand what is the risk? Things that I can control. You don't control inflation. You don't control what the Federal Reserve is going to do with the interest rates. They recently met. They're going to meet again in August in Jackson Hole and talk about the plan moving forward.
00:22:13.060but it is very evident to me that they want to change how inflation is calculated so they can
00:22:18.760support lowering the interest rates because we do have an affordability problem here in the states
00:22:23.260and with president trump's policy the big beautiful bill deregulation we are paying a short-term price
00:22:29.400for the long-term gain but depending on your time horizon maybe you cannot afford paying that short
00:22:34.620term price that's where you want to have some preservation and protection and that's where gold
00:22:38.840comes into play. And so in a situation like that, do you think that oil would ever potentially be
00:22:45.960traded for gold? No. You know why? Because here in the US, although we have the largest amount
00:22:55.140of gold and Scott Besson recently mentioned that they had done an audit, I don't believe that
00:23:00.660they've done a thorough audit. It's one thing for you to do a visual inspection. It's another thing
00:23:05.620for you to look at each bar, make sure that the purity level is there. There's a report that in
00:23:10.220the next three to five years, China's gold will outpace what we have. So the way I see this is
00:23:15.800the currency will back. There has to be some sort of a percentage that will back the currency
00:23:20.700because even with Russia, China, India, all those countries, it's not that they trust each other.
00:23:27.120They trust the one thing that cannot be duplicated or printed. They trust the gold that's backing
00:23:33.280their bilateral trade agreements so i do see gold being uh in the collateralization of the
00:23:40.020currencies in the future but it's going to be difficult for the trading of oil and gold vice
00:23:45.360versa so that's that's actually incredible because this this is kind of the it's it's tied
00:23:53.260to the rise of bricks and in many ways you know and obviously i've talked about this on the show
00:23:58.120as well. I think a lot of the president's moves lately have been directly tied to BRICS to try
00:24:05.400to combat that and put the United States on a secure footing. Absolutely. Let's face it.
00:24:12.560President Trump wants to have a strong dollar, but he doesn't want to have too much of a strong
00:24:17.080dollar because that's going to hurt the exports. That's going to hurt the trade that we have with
00:24:21.820our partners. If the value of the dollar, the synthetic value based on the artificial demand
00:29:26.180And look, I think that when you see things like Spain
00:29:30.420and you look at so many things out there,
00:29:32.480when I see something like this, people want to complicate it.
00:29:36.040And it's actually not a complicated situation, is it?
00:29:38.340The answer is right in front of us. It's very, very simple. This is the type of thing that a
00:29:44.500military is designed for. The only difference, of course, is that, of course, the Spanish1.00
00:29:49.560socialists are telling the military to stand down. Absolutely. I mean, if these migrants who
00:29:56.200overwhelmed this border at Suta had met a military instead of a bunch of aid workers,
00:30:00.080the situation would be very different. They would have been deterred from overrunning the border,
00:30:03.680obviously. And really, I agree with you. The situation is so simple. It's so straightforward,
00:30:07.540forward, but you have to see what's in front of your nose, if I can use that phrase. This should
00:30:11.220be a wake-up call. It should be a wake-up call for liberals throughout the Western world, in Europe
00:30:15.840and in the United States, that they need to get out of this frame of understanding these kinds
00:30:19.920of events as poor migrants and refugees and people seeking asylum who we need to help. No, this is at
00:30:25.580the very least hybrid warfare, okay, or an invasion. That's what's going on. We grew up in
00:30:31.220Western civilization. We inherited it. We want to be able to pass it on to our kids, but if this
00:30:35.680keeps on happening, we're not going to be able to do that. It should also be a wake up call for
00:30:39.800conservatives, including America first conservatives here in the United States, that our situation is
00:30:44.880connected with the one in Europe. We're facing the same kinds of problems. That's why whenever
00:30:48.900right wing populism is rising in Europe, it's also rising in America. Right wing populists in
00:30:53.600America and Europe elect new leaders. You know, these parties are rising. They're gaining in
00:30:57.680popularity because the people are worried about these migrant invasions. They want it to stop.0.96
00:31:02.420they want their leaders to actually do something. And I think it should also be a wake up call that
00:31:06.800the Iran war, for example, in particular, is a distraction that's destroying our national power.0.86
00:31:12.180That's making it more difficult for us to compete with China. It's not solving our problems. The0.92
00:31:16.240actual problems are right here within our borders in America and also as we see on the screen in
00:31:20.900Europe as well. Well, you know, it's interesting you mentioned that because I just kept back from
00:31:26.020speaking at CPAC UK and, you know, I've done CPACs in Hungary and Poland and Romania and other
00:31:33.040CPAC style events, Japan even. And, and folks say, you know, why are you, you know, why are you,
00:31:39.660you know, going to these other countries? You know, don't you say you're America first? I am
00:31:42.540America first, right? But the point is, is that I also want England to be England first and Poland0.99
00:31:47.100to be Poland first and Japan to be Japan first, right? That's what it's all about. And in fact,0.95
00:31:52.020the issue is that we're, I've done a CPAC in Mexico, I believe it or not, because what we're
00:31:55.540actually fighting against is all the same thing is a globalist takeover. And they're the ones who
00:32:01.420are trying to get us. And I was on with Steve Bannon on War Room this morning and he was saying,
00:32:05.520why do we have aircraft carriers in the Middle East? Why aren't we sending them off the coast
00:32:09.860of Spain, which is a NATO country where we have a mutual defense treaty through NATO. This is
00:32:16.220obviously a situation that could trigger Article five. We have Rota right there, which of course
00:32:20.660is a Navy base. And yet we don't seem to care about it whatsoever.
00:32:25.540Totally. I absolutely agree. And you mentioned America first and this perceived conflict between America first and Western civilizational thinking. That conflict doesn't exist. I have this book in front of me, Patrick Buchanan, Death of the West. He was a co-founder of the magazine, which I worked with.
00:32:41.300And if you look at the history of American first conservatism, going back from Charles Lindbergh through Pat Buchanan, all the way up to even like Tucker Carlson and some other figures today, they were America first.
00:32:51.700And they also did think of America as part of this Western civilization.
00:32:55.300And where did we get our concept of citizenship?
00:33:03.460I live in D.C. where the architecture is clearly influenced by Greco-Roman antiquity.
00:33:07.700We are in a cultural zone of Western civilization. That is what America is. So if you're America first, if you love America, then you love a Western country. That's what we are. And there's no conflict at all. And yeah, we want the British first people, the France first people, the Spanish first people to succeed. We support their movements in solidarity. I think that we have to because all of these things are connected.
00:33:28.980it no it is and i've gone and so when i wrote um my anti-communism book on humans last year
00:33:36.360uh or excuse me two years ago now gosh time flies that i actually went and traveled to spain and met
00:33:42.400with uh the leaders of vox which is sort of the uh the anti-migrant you know maga you know cognate
00:33:48.740party over there um certainly the spanish first kind of party and um you know visited many sites
00:33:55.020around Madrid that were tied to the Spanish Civil War. And you could clearly see that the
00:33:59.720things that they were fighting for were the exact same things that we were fighting for
00:34:03.420in the United States. And it's very interesting. And so this is why I think, and it's also a wake
00:34:10.180up call, I think, for a lot of establishment Republicans to say, this is what the MAGA
00:34:15.380movement, the America First movement was built on. And for folks who really want to focus everything,
00:34:20.740especially in an election year on foreign policy, on whether or not, you know, the next round of
00:34:26.880bombings is going on with Iran or is there a deal? Is there not a deal? It's just not an animating
00:34:32.460factor for the people of the United States. Obviously, you know, in Spain, their government's
00:34:37.780completely against it. But the point is, in the United States, there that's not something that
00:34:42.260directly affects people on a visceral level the way this does. Absolutely. I mean, if you look
00:34:48.160at Trump's election victory in 2024, the most important issues, as far as I could tell, were
00:34:53.060one, migration, because the border was just chaotic under Biden, then affordability, and then Trump's
00:34:58.900promise to avoid World War III, not get us sucked into any forever wars, especially not forever
00:35:03.300wars in the Middle East, because Americans have seen how disastrous such wars can be. And what
00:35:08.360do we have now? We have this war in Iran. President Trump, I think, was convinced by Bibi Netanyahu,
00:35:13.500the prime minister of Israel, that it was only going to last for a few weeks, maybe even a few
00:35:17.360days and we were going to get a new regime there that wasn't hostile to the United States.
00:35:21.240That didn't happen. And so Trump needs to just get out because not only did it affect his campaign
00:35:25.760promise to not start these foreign wars in the Middle East, it also affects the affordability
00:35:29.780issue because it sends up gas prices. It's creating this oil shortage that has real
00:35:34.460consequences, especially in the United States, because all of our consumer goods, our groceries
00:35:39.020are delivered on 18 wheeler tractor trailer trucks right on highways across this vast country.
00:35:44.440those run on diesel yeah no i was just at the um well to your point i was just at the white house
00:35:50.660yesterday where we had this this big um truckers event and uh he's putting which i think is a great
00:35:56.240policy by the way putting um american veterans ahead of anyone else in terms of cdls for truckers
00:36:02.260which is a great policy the problem is is that obviously we have this issue of migrants on our
00:36:06.860on our roads and and driving these big rigs but the bigger issue of course is going to be the1.00
00:36:10.780price of oil and the price of gas. Yeah, totally. And that's been hit hard. And if this war doesn't
00:36:16.300get wrapped up soon, I mean, the problem is just going to fester and even get worse. I mean,
00:36:20.120we're seeing signs of a wider war and regional conflagration stemming out of this Iran war.
00:36:25.720If the Houthis get involved in a more major way and shut off Red Sea traffic, that's going to be
00:36:31.400a disaster for the oil markets and things are going to go even higher up. Our strategic reserves
00:36:35.060are depleted. China was kind of for their own reasons, bailing the world out in terms of0.98
00:36:39.960manipulating their imports so that the price of oil didn't rise too much when the war was
00:36:43.660extremely hot. We don't know if they're going to continue to do that. So we could be heading
00:36:47.280towards some real major oil crisis, the likes of which we haven't seen since at least the 70s.
00:36:52.700We need to avoid that if at all possible. I understand it's difficult for Trump right now
00:36:56.580to find an off ramp. I think he knows that the war wasn't worth it. The American people,
00:37:01.360two thirds of the American people say that the war wasn't worth it. Even MAGA voters are turning
00:37:05.880against it or at least worried about higher prices and about ground troops. It's good to just come
00:37:10.520home now, I think. I think the situation will kind of sort itself out naturally. Iran can't
00:37:15.660charge these exorbitant fees on the Strait of Hormuz because then the infrastructure for
00:37:20.020transporting oil is just going to go to other ground locations and move away from Hormuz.
00:37:24.740It's a diminishing asset in that sense. So I think the situation would basically work itself
00:37:29.100out. But if the war escalates, then I think Trump's poll numbers are going to see an even
00:37:33.940bigger hit. I mean, this war is already dragging him down to the 30s. And we're going to see the
00:37:38.440oil prices go up heading into the midterms. And so I think Trump should get out. And we should
00:37:42.740also note that this war is distracting and dividing the American right. So we have the
00:37:48.780situation now. And just just to dig in is that this is the initial, you know, it was the original
00:37:57.080issue of the MAGA movement, your border, defending your border. That's what Trump came down the
00:38:01.820escalator that's the first thing you said the first thing that united everyone behind him and
00:38:05.700we'll get you on for longer uh for next time until then where can people follow you i'm at
00:38:11.140the american conservative you can also follow me online aka day 89 is by handle and i write a
00:38:16.400weekly column at the american conservative all right folks check them out right back jack
00:42:55.600He just wants to give as many as possible so these people can vote.
00:43:00.100So he's so what you're saying is that this is actually an electoral plan for him because he knows his coalition government is so it's it's it's it's not very popular.
00:43:11.380But what he's able to do then is he's bringing in voters that will then vote for him because he wants to dilute and replace the voters of the Spanish people.
00:43:23.720Absolutely. Actually, there's another left wing politician. Her name is Irene Montero.0.66
00:43:28.560She's not from the Socialist Party, but it's also an extremist left-wing party.0.64
00:43:34.080And she said that she wishes to replace us, right-wing Spaniards, for migrants because they deserve to be in our country and we don't.
00:43:42.920She actually said that, which is pretty crazy to me.
00:43:45.980So absolutely, this is all an orchestrated invasion, I would say.
00:43:51.860And I'm not sure how it's going to end up or how we are going to fix this in a peaceful way.
00:43:56.700Well, just tell me this. You're living there, you're in Barcelona, you're a woman living in Barcelona. How does this affect you when you're living in one of Spain's most beautiful cities? Is it affecting the safety? Is it affecting the public life? What's the impact that this mass migration is having?
00:44:15.380absolutely i would say that we see many consequences because of mass migration but
00:44:21.920the safety is number one as you guys probably have seen we are no longer safe in europe
00:44:26.920especially women we are getting raped molested and in many cases even assassinated because of
00:44:32.700open borders but it's not only this the problem that we are seeing because you guys know we have
00:44:38.100public health and public education system and everything is getting collapsed because of this0.65
00:44:42.900mass migration so for example our grandparents that have been working all of their lives paying
00:44:48.880taxes and they don't even have access to public health they have to wait two three years to get1.00
00:44:54.080basic surgeries because those people are coming in and taking advantage of all of our resources
00:44:59.300and they are being prioritized which is very frustrating if i'm being honest
00:45:05.460well and that's that's so horrific so if this is happening what's going on in
00:45:12.780the country where if if this is happening to the people of spain rape sexual assault molestation in
00:45:20.000in in the streets on buses are are the politicians responding in any way
00:45:25.300when i hear pedro sanchez speak it sounds like he just wants to open the borders even more
00:45:29.720exactly so we only have one really good part in spain that's the box party they are taking
00:45:35.320it really seriously and it's the only hope i have for spain if i'm being honest there's another
00:45:40.020right-wing party that's called partido popular but in reality they're just rhinos and they are
00:45:44.860gonna do whatever they they change their um dialogue every time they speak to some people
00:45:50.280like they're not really for the people so the only hope that we have is a box party all the
00:45:55.660other parties are very happy with this invasion and they excuse themselves as we have to be
00:46:01.920humanitarian. We have to be good people. We have to welcome everyone, but they forget about the
00:46:06.340Spanish people and we should be put first. Well, I'll tell you that, you know, we've actually done
00:46:12.160an episode of this very program from Vox, the party headquarters there in Madrid. And we met
00:46:20.140with Santiago Abascal. This was in 2024. And we had an incredible, by the way, great dinner together
00:46:29.380with the food was unbelievable with and of course you know tanya and uh she she really loved it and
00:46:35.620said she wants to come back as soon as possible and vox to me it feels like you know if maga is
00:46:42.360the america first you know movement in america vox is the maga of spain absolutely and they have
00:46:51.960been very much demonized by the mainstream media but i feel like now everyone is waking up and
00:46:57.440Even people who used to vote for the left are going to vote for Vox
00:47:00.580because it is the only option that we have.0.99
00:47:03.900It is the only party that cares about the Spanish people,1.00
00:47:06.660and it's the only party that's willing to send them back1.00
00:47:09.540because at the end of the day, what we all want right now,0.99
00:47:12.200all the Spaniards, we want to send them back.1.00
00:47:16.740Spain has had a history in the past where Spain was conquered1.00
00:47:21.340by the Muslim caliphate for almost 1,000 years,
00:47:24.440And it was only because of the courage and the bravery of the Spanish people by putting God first, by putting Christ first, as you do so well in Spain, where you have the largest cross in the world that I have visited in the Valley of the Fallen, which needs to be protected and preserved.0.92
00:47:41.360You were able to do so once in the past.
00:47:43.840And I certainly believe, just like 1492, that Spain can do it again.
00:47:48.060Edy Yuch, where can people go to follow you?
00:47:49.700no we cannot allow it it needs to be it needs to be saved the west the christian west must always
00:48:09.220be defended ladies and gentlemen as always you have my permission
