Katie Courtenay joins Jemele to talk about her new book, The Devil Next Door, and why the left can t handle her. Plus, she tells the story of the worst mug shot she's ever seen and why she thinks the media loves it.
00:02:23.740And there's so much more. And there's more. Oh my goodness. I cannot believe it. 300 shows we have done. And it has been an absolute blast for me. I have had so much fun.
00:02:39.120Man, we're getting like 300,000 viewers now on most days.
00:02:43.580It's incredible. And that's just one platform.
00:02:46.160Yeah, on one platform. That ain't counting Spotify or just everything else.
00:02:51.880I know. All of them. This show has grown so much. And it's all because of the littermates. I mean, we just sit up here and we just talk and talk and talk. But the littermates are out there getting the show known. People know who we are now as a result. And about the show. And Monday through Friday, yes, you can catch us here live.
00:03:13.220And that's the funny thing. It's that none of this is scripted. None of this is edited. It's just what's happening in today's crazy, crazy world. So welcome to 300. Here's to 3,000 more. Might as well add another zero. That's at least what the U.S. government does. So you might as well. But I am just thrilled to be doing the show. I think that we've really made some traction here.
00:03:37.540The left, they are completely losing their minds. Kat, I have never seen so many versions of a person in my life. Every single time I go over to your account, there's somebody else over there that they claim that you are. I've never seen anything like it.
00:03:56.520You know, I've said a million times that the funny thing is, I got 1.6 million followers and nobody gives a damn while they're like. Who cares?
00:04:05.580Who cares? What am I, a supermodel? What am I, a GQ model on every magazine? Do I walk the runways?
00:04:12.860Well, they wish you would. They just intellectually can't handle somebody. They want to know. And it's okay. I don't, you know, you know, I've already wanted to come out on the show more than you have and go ahead and just show everybody what I look like because I don't care.
00:04:26.320Right. But, you know, so far, well, you know, it's, a month ago it was a curly haired dude with glasses and then they had another curly haired dude with, that was wearing a dog collar.
00:04:37.000And then there's been a few mug shots. And then about, I guess about a month ago, they passed around this Hispanic guy that was really big with a big, thick mustache, kind of looking like Cheech and Chong.
00:04:48.280They swore that was me. Then they come up with the, you know, the worst photograph shot, 500,000 pound head with no ears and piss jars behind it and a half a shirt.
00:05:00.200I mean, and then I guess they got tired of that one. And then now it's a mug shot that I'm a, whatever that guy did.
00:05:08.380Oh my gosh. I'm just waiting for the picture of you in drag to come out. And then the left will completely lose their mind.
00:05:18.440Wouldn't that kill the narrative? Wouldn't it though? I mean, wouldn't it actually backfire?
00:05:24.520They can't, I'll say a statement, but they can't, they, they, they can't just say, okay, this is what he said. Let me respond to what he said.
00:05:32.100He's talking about whatever, the economy. Right. And he says, look at this, this is a picture of cat 30, 900 pounds, got horns, wears half shirts, has piss jars and drinks pee.
00:05:43.800I mean, it's just, that's their intellectual conversation.
00:05:46.560I know. It's really gotten crazy. It has gotten so crazy. I have never seen the obsession.
00:05:53.980And they think they're doing themselves a favor when they do that. Like, oh my God, you got me. I'm so embarrassed.
00:05:58.700I mean, it's sick. I mean, they are, they are really completely out of their minds, but.
00:06:04.120I thought they were supposed to be happy. Trump was getting indicted.
00:06:06.420Well, that's what we all thought. Right. I mean, that was going to take care of everything.
00:06:10.300This was going to be the final nail in his coffin. And of course it is completely backfiring.
00:06:15.140Like nobody's business. Everybody is talking about the fact that this is just a sham.
00:06:19.560And that if anybody needs to be locked up, it's Brag himself. I mean, it is just going on and on and, oh no, we got him this time.
00:06:29.620Well, President Trump and his attorneys have already said they are going to file a motion.
00:06:34.620And to dismiss after reviewing the BS indictment from the corrupt New York attorney and DA, the DA there.
00:06:43.440So they are expected to file it immediately as soon as they have time to review the BS indictment against President Trump.
00:06:52.520Now, the thing about this whole thing, and I thought it was really great of Trump's lawyers to actually go on to CNN
00:06:58.700and point out the fact that they are already leaking, that there are 34 counts against him.
00:07:06.680Well, it's a felony to leak something like that. And they did it on Don Lamont's show. Check this out.
00:07:13.420Former President and do you, do the legal team, do they, the unsealing of the document, do you support that? Does he support that?
00:07:21.840Yes. I mean, I think it will happen no matter what. I would like to see what the basis is for this.
00:07:26.400Let's remember that the real crime here that we have is that DA Bragg did leak that there were 30 to 34 counts.
00:07:32.700We already know that that in itself is a felony. You are not to let that go.
00:07:36.820So at this point, I mean, and I like everybody in this country to be treated the same no matter what we are.
00:07:42.320We don't know if the DA leaked that information. That is speculation.
00:07:47.560Well, we don't have that information. So, well, it's not speculation. We don't have the information.
00:12:48.500And in his first year, Bragg, he downgraded 52 percent of felonies to misdemeanors compared to 39 percent downgraded in 2019 and had a dismal 51 percent conviction rate for the felonies he did charge.
00:14:23.420He's just like, he's no different than de Blasio except he is infatuated with taking selfies and pictures of himself and posing and going out to nightclubs and going to fights and being a celebrity.
00:15:04.840They're moving out of there in California in record numbers.
00:15:08.140They're getting the hell out of your shit hole city because it's just a crime infested, smelly, stinky, and it smells like a combination of weed and piss.
00:15:38.380Well, you can do the crime now in New York City, but you don't have to do the time.
00:15:43.040That's it, critics, is the message from the new progressive Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg.
00:15:48.580Mr. Bragg has new policies that, to some, is a stunning reversal of the traditional law enforcement policies.
00:15:55.740Bragg stressing diversion and alternatives to jail time, like crisis intervention, over putting some criminals behind bars.
00:16:02.620He will no longer incarcerate lawbreakers unless it's murder, a crime that involves someone's death or a felony.
00:16:09.580Bragg says his goal is, quote, safety and fairness.
00:16:12.740He also wants the defendant's race to be considered.
00:16:15.560His office will largely no longer enforce some trespass crimes, resisting arrest, fare beating, sex work.
00:16:21.760And he's reducing charges that could mean no jail time for armed robbery, some of those cases, stealing from stores and storage areas of homes and dealing drugs.
00:16:31.240When Bragg ran for district attorney, he promised not to charge shoplifters for stealing stuff worth less than 250 bucks,
00:16:37.760meaning you could potentially shoplift up to that amount and still get away with it.
00:16:42.780Police unions and criminal justice advocates are outraged, saying Bragg is giving criminals a free pass.
00:16:51.060Well, OK, so if you don't acknowledge that those are criminal behaviors, then sure, you've got the safest city in the world, according to the Democrats.
00:16:57.720Let any of that happen to somebody in his family and he'll throw the book at them.
00:17:37.260However, it's also good for Biden in a way because it's keeping the focus off of what's happening in this country and what's happening around the world.
00:17:47.580And the distraction, you know, is huge.
00:17:51.200Because when you start looking at what's happening to the dollar and our oil prices going up, the spy balloon lies, all of those things.
00:22:26.260I mean, you're sitting there in a foxhole and you're getting attacked, and they're like, ah, we didn't get this what to do here in pronoun school for the eight weeks.
00:22:48.100Saudi officials announced earlier this year they are ready to trade in currencies other than the U.S. dollar in a huge blow to the American economy.
00:22:57.340Saudi Arabia announced the move following a December meeting with China.
00:28:53.500Well, that's what we were calling for on Saturday is do not let this think.
00:28:59.680Don't let Kevin McCarthy or any of the others think that we're okay with this.
00:29:03.400Actually, we should be ramping it up using the Shaman as an example.
00:29:08.680Think of how many other people are still sitting there behind bars without being able to go before a magistrate or a court, and they're just rotting in jail.
00:29:20.180They're considered to be domestic terrorists, and they have been forgotten about for the most part.
00:29:25.980No, this should be an absolute – people should be ringing their phones off the hook and saying, where is the rest of the footage?
00:29:33.860We've got to clear these people because they're not going to stop, Kat.
00:29:37.440They're going to continue to go after these people constantly.
00:38:56.540Well, I mean, how can you even call it media when you know that they've been lying for the past four years and they've interfered in elections and everything else?
00:41:23.020I mean, I have laughed so hard on that one because it's so true.
00:41:26.680So you said to him, triggered, and by the way, all the disinformation is from the Democrat propaganda, fake news, New York slimes, and everybody outside of New York City and Washington D. Sleaze knows it.
00:41:39.520And then you also responded here, for the record, I purposely stayed mostly out of, oh, that was something else.
00:48:13.520Well, let me tell you from a woman's perspective how I see this.
00:48:16.700What they're actually saying to me is that men are dominant, that men are superior, and for them to get into our sports and everything, that men to dress up, all you have to do is dress up in heels and you're going to dominate women and keep us down forever.
00:49:10.380So, I can't imagine anybody that claims to be progressive being okay with this, and when I saw this, I completely freaked because, you know, I'm a sports player.
00:49:45.560If a man, if you're a woman and you've trained hard with these other women and you're competing in a fair sport, whether it's tennis, golf, whatever,
00:49:53.220and then here comes this six-foot-six dude, you know, who was 400th in the world, but he wants to dominate your sport, let him dominate it by himself.
00:50:03.040That swimmer should be swimming laps to nobody in the audience and nobody competing against them.
00:50:35.140And then let's let that turn into a drag, whatever it is, and people can go out for fun on Saturday afternoon and support their best player.
00:50:45.260Meanwhile, women that take their sport seriously, that want to get into college, that want to go on tour, that want to work on their ranking and actually place and be able to place fairly and get those scholarships, divide yourself from all of this.
00:51:00.320Create your own leagues and go for it.
00:51:40.140So, I mean, they're already at a disadvantage.
00:51:43.100And a lot of these, I mean, they have that one, four years, a lot of women, the only thing they got is the Olympics where they can do it, you know, a Cheerios box.
00:51:52.660And luckily, the two sports where they're not limited, there's really only two, if you ask me, but I don't think basketball, because they just don't have the audience, but is golf and tennis.
00:52:03.620They have thrived in tennis and golf, women's tennis and golf, and get lots of money and can be multi-hundred millionaires and get all the endorsements in them two sports.
00:52:24.240You're going to let some guy go to Wimbledon and U.S. Open and win the Grand Slam?
00:52:28.840Now, if that's what you're going to do, let some dude in a skirt go win the Grand Slam in tennis and completely destroy the sport, nobody will ever watch again because they don't care anymore?
00:52:50.680I'm sure you'll be able to build it up, and there will be, you know, an audience for you.
00:52:55.000But for women's sports and for us that take that very seriously, who have trained, I cannot even tell you, put in the amount of hours and time and dedication and effort, to have all of a sudden the person that you're up against next in order to get to the next round ends up being a male?
00:53:20.760I mean, they make you fight against, you know, just this little bitty poundage because it's not fair to fight bigger people.
00:53:27.960I mean, how would you think if you was like the biggest lightweight boxer that weighed 115-pound male and you were going to, you finally got, you know, at the belt, the world title, and then you train and train and train the dude, and then the day before they say, well, hey, we're making a change, man.
00:53:48.100Well, it's so true, Kat, but I mean, the headlines here, instead of it being showing nerves of steel, Brianna Gill triumphed in playoff for her first professional win at the Australian Women's Classic.
00:54:05.140It should say women lose again to a man.
01:09:40.360And like I said, even the team behind us, those that are putting together, Patriot Penzi and Rob Plegran, who Rob does the synopsis after the show so that you can see what all was discussed during it.
01:09:53.840And then Patriot Penzi has been helping me out tremendously by putting out all of the articles that I read on the show.
01:10:00.260And she took over for Fleet Admiral James, who had a heart attack and had to have open heart surgery and then dialysis, which he's off now.
01:11:42.960I don't know how to play any other sport.
01:11:44.780I mean, the only thing I knew was tennis.
01:11:47.200And to see this happening and to know how hard families work to put their child through some of these lessons and then training and then traveling on the weekends to tournaments and the clothes and the rackets and the stringing of the rackets, all of that stuff comes into play here.
01:12:08.580And they expect at least to get a college scholarship.
