00:02:06.780 when we go live on this show you're in the litter box with jules again today a sick jules by the way
00:02:13.920 thank you so much you all heard me getting into my my robitussin and my my cough drops actually
00:02:20.600 i don't take robitussin but whatever this really it's supposed to be you know this really healthy
00:02:25.740 stuff I've been swigging on it I've been drinking it I've got my cough drops here my zinc my whole
00:02:31.680 deal but yes it caught up with me I knew it would I don't know a couple of people have been pretty
00:02:36.600 sick this week and I know a few of my friends Jenny who's also in California maybe it's the
00:02:41.920 California thing but I don't think so I think it's going around this bug so anyway I left the show on
00:02:47.940 I guess and I heard about the hot mic moment thank you so much for letting me know about that you
00:02:54.920 guys are great about that. But goodness sakes, it has been a week. There's been under a lot of
00:03:00.420 pressure. There's just been a lot of things that have been going on. So here's the deal. We're
00:03:06.180 going to be okay, just in case you didn't know. We're going to be perfectly fine. But the thing
00:03:10.920 that we're going to talk about today is who had the keys. I mean, that's it. That's the whole show
00:03:17.480 pretty much. I want to talk to you all because you all have the keys. We have a few people here
00:03:22.320 that are new bonnie marie i haven't said your name before good to see you katherine needs coffee
00:03:28.820 yes coffee would probably do me a world full of good right now coffee and tea tim peck 1157
00:03:35.460 molly mcfrolley and there she is a she is just an awesome mod thank you for all of your help on the
00:03:43.040 show suzy g628 yes cat is going to come back he's on vacation but he let everybody know this a while
00:03:50.180 ago. He was doing turd stock, and then he just needed some time. And this was planned well in
00:03:55.640 advance. So it's not anything that that happened. It's just, he's on vacation, and a very well
00:04:03.020 deserved one. But he's over there posting anyway. So if you ever want to check it, see exactly what's
00:04:08.840 going on with him, you always can. But here, you know, the keys, because the keys are important
00:04:17.380 here because of who holds on to them. So who had them? I mean, that is it. That's pretty
00:04:24.020 much the whole show. Before I get into it, let me tell you the warm part because this
00:04:29.780 is the last day of the week that I spent doing myself and I'm not going to pretend I didn't
00:04:35.820 notice who stayed. One chair, one microphone, one voice, Monday straight through today and
00:04:43.180 every single one of you came back anyway. You filled the chat, you sent me the links,
00:04:48.720 you corrected me when I needed correcting, and you did it without being asked twice.
00:04:53.800 That is not an audience. That is a litter. And I will take that over any crowd, any day of the
00:05:02.720 week. You all are the best. So let me hand you a thread and then we will start pulling on it
00:05:09.060 together. Every story I am bringing you today is the same story wearing a different coat.
00:05:15.400 In this story, I mean this, this one. It's somebody who had access, somebody who could
00:05:21.600 open the thing, somebody that, you know, that made a decision about what to do with it.
00:05:29.680 That is the hour. I mean, that is pretty much all of it. Some of them printed keys that never
00:05:36.580 existed in the first place out of an office on paper for money. One of them handed hers back
00:05:43.120 after doing the job about as well as anybody has ever done it. Some of them left the key sitting
00:05:49.880 in the lock with a factory sticker still on it, which is somehow the worst one on the list.
00:05:55.900 One man turned a single key that reached further than any one key in this country is supposed to
00:06:03.100 reach and one of them wrote the question itself which is the quietest kind of key that there is
00:06:10.200 and then there is one that landed about an hour before I sat down in this chair which I am going
00:06:16.360 to give you first because it is so perfectly on the nose that I read it twice before I believed it
00:06:23.440 now I want you to do something for me this hour I want you to keep count every time I hand you a
00:06:31.840 new one do not start with whether you like it or hate it start with one step earlier than that
00:06:38.680 ask who was holding the door ask what that person was allowed to open ask who handed it to them
00:06:47.280 and ask whether anybody at all was watching when they went ahead and used it because policy comes
00:06:54.960 and policy goes, Littermates. I mean, access is the thing that does not change hands very often.
00:07:02.820 And when it does change, it is worth every minute of your Friday afternoon.
00:07:08.240 So keep count with me. Who had the keys? I'm going to be straight with you about where this one is
00:07:18.000 from before I tell a single thing about it, because that is the deal that I have for you with
00:07:23.620 you. I mean, this is what we do on a regular basis. And so this is reported. Now, it is not
00:07:31.160 a document, but this is what's been going around. I went and I looked at the White House myself
00:07:36.460 before I walked in, and there is nothing on their newsroom about it and nothing on their staff page
00:07:43.120 either. Their newsroom today is the October jobs number. It was a piece about tariffs and bringing
00:07:50.420 manufacturing home. I mean, that was the whole board. There was no release, no staff page. So
00:07:56.760 I'm telling you plainly, this is what was reported. And it is not yet on paper. Now I did
00:08:04.060 check that report itself. It's genuine. I read it the live timeline with my own eyes. And so
00:08:10.200 it's real. But a real post is not a printed fact. So I have to be careful. Anyway, here's the deal.
00:08:20.420 The report is this, the president is making a change at chief of staff.
00:08:25.220 Susie Wiles is leaving the job, and the name that is going in is Stephen Miller.
00:08:31.060 Now, I'm curious, and I'm going to ask all of you, how do you feel about that?
00:08:37.900 What do you think about the change that is going on?
00:08:41.700 Do you have any thoughts, Littermates?
00:08:43.360 I'm looking at you right now, and I'm wondering what you have to say about this.
00:08:48.880 It looks like there is a big shakeup that is happening, and it's going to be very interesting.
00:08:54.720 Deborah Reyes says that she agrees, you know, a bazillion percent.
00:08:59.580 And let's see who else.
00:09:01.160 It's Miller time.
00:09:02.500 Yep, I've seen that a couple of times.
00:09:05.060 Yes, Trump knew back then.
00:09:07.780 We are the news 2025.
00:09:10.040 KB Martin, I love Stephen.
00:09:12.460 Unbounded life.
00:09:13.500 White House just reported this.
00:09:15.500 Exactly.
00:09:16.220 I mean, this is big.
00:09:17.380 now and there you are there you are jenny she says stephen miller is excellent we need big guns now
00:09:23.720 that's right patriot 17 always there to say and it's true it really is this is something that
00:09:31.140 happens whenever you have a shake up like this because it needs to happen now one quick thing
00:09:36.760 before i continue on there was a donation and i missed it it happened on wednesday just leave me
00:09:42.360 alone 10 56 he gave to this show and i truly appreciate it i'm sorry i missed it there's a
00:09:47.960 lot of things that i miss lately i've been i've been texting people that i shouldn't be texting
00:09:51.900 one thing and i've been emailing people back things it is sick it's a the sickness that i
00:09:58.100 have it's been going around i knew it was coming i just hope that i have a voice tomorrow for
00:10:03.140 tomorrow's show who knows though when it starts like this it always goes to my throat so we'll
00:10:08.520 see. It's going to be an interesting ride. But I really appreciate the donation. It really means
00:10:14.000 the world to us. So that is the news of the day. And that's pretty big news. Now, what about this
00:10:24.240 that I'm thinking about? I mean, I came in today to ask you a question for the whole hour. Who had
00:10:28.980 the keys? I actually put the promo out last night. And that was the title. And about one hour before
00:10:36.740 I sat down, the single most literal set of keys in American government changed hands.
00:10:45.040 I mean, you could not script that. I would not have even tried. So because that is what the job
00:10:52.000 actually is, people hear chief of staff and they picture paperwork, a calendar, a binder,
00:10:59.940 and a clipboard. It's not paperwork. Chief of Staff decides who walks through the door,
00:11:07.760 who gets on the schedule, who gets 15 minutes, and who gets told to put it in an email.
00:11:15.540 Which piece of paper reaches the Resolute desk and which one quietly dies in somebody's inbox
00:11:23.240 on the way there. Which cabinet secretary gets heard out in person, which one gets handled.
00:11:30.980 I mean, the whole deal. Every other person in that town has to go through that one office
00:11:37.080 to get to the President of the United States. I mean, we're talking senators, generals, donors,
00:11:44.580 cabinet everybody there is exactly one door and one person holds it that is not a staffing note
00:11:55.720 that is the floor plan of the entire building
00:12:00.460 so let me say something about the woman who held it because i am not going to do what i expect a
00:12:10.180 lot of people are going to do with this story today. I'm just not. Susie Wiles ran the 2024
00:12:16.180 campaign. She won it. And then she became the first woman in history, in the history of this
00:12:26.260 country to serve as White House Chief of Staff. Period. The first one ever. And she held that job 0.53
00:12:37.220 for a year and 10 months through a stretch that would have chewed most people in this business
00:12:43.420 right down to the bone. She did it without leaking, without a book deal, without making herself the
00:12:51.980 story one single time, which in that town is practically a miracle. Nobody has said why this
00:13:01.440 is happening. I do not have a document. I do not have a reason. And I'm not going to invent one
00:13:07.420 for you on Friday afternoon either. Not even a flattering one. I mean, if somebody hands me a
00:13:15.240 reason, I will hand it to you straight. You know that I'll be the first one to talk. But no. What
00:13:21.080 I'm also not going to do is sit up and pretend that a woman who won a presidential election 1.00
00:13:26.280 and then made history doing the hardest job in that building 0.92
00:13:29.920 is somehow a casualty because she is not.
00:13:34.080 That is a record almost nobody walking this earth has got
00:13:38.060 and she gets to keep every single bit of it.
00:13:40.880 And I say thank you and I truly mean that.
00:13:44.600 And then there is the name going in, Stephen Miller.
00:13:49.540 Now, it is not a surprise and he is not a stranger.
00:13:53.700 that has been talked about for quite some time.
00:13:56.820 You see the rumor mill over there on X and other places.
00:14:00.760 Now, he has been with this president since the beginning,
00:14:03.920 through the first term, through four years in the wilderness,
00:14:08.900 when the invitation stopped coming in and the phone stopped ringing,
00:14:13.180 for everybody in that orbit.
00:14:16.520 Through the campaign and through this term,
00:14:19.940 he has been in that building when it was winning,
00:14:23.700 and he stood with this president when the whole city was betting against him.
00:14:29.140 Whatever anybody wants to say about the man,
00:14:32.440 nobody has ever had to wonder what he thinks or who he works for.
00:14:38.060 Not even for a minute. Not for a day.
00:14:42.200 So the keys are not going to somebody who needs a map of the place.
00:14:45.920 I'll tell you that right now. 1.00
00:14:47.880 Here is where I actually want you to walk out of this black holding, 1.00
00:14:52.500 And then we'll go into the rest of the show.
00:14:55.740 When the person holding the door changes, everything downstream of that door changes with it.
00:15:02.140 Not the policy on the page, the access.
00:15:06.500 Who gets heard?
00:15:08.040 Who gets five minutes on a Tuesday?
00:15:11.100 Who gets the last word in the room before a decision gets made?
00:15:15.800 because the last voice in the room has always been worth more than any memo ever written.
00:15:23.640 That is not a small thing and it is not a personal item. I mean, it's not. This guy has
00:15:30.020 been with the president for quite some time and this has nothing to do with the personnel itself.
00:15:35.340 I mean, this and that together are a machine and it needs to run tippy top all day long.
00:15:45.800 So who had the keys?
00:15:48.560 Well, for the last year and 10 months, she did.
00:15:53.000 As of about an hour ago, reportedly, he does.
00:15:58.480 Now, this is where the story is, and it's going to evolve.
00:16:04.100 I'm sure we're going to hear about the screaming in the back room.
00:16:07.400 I'm sure we're going to hear about all of the different things that are going to leak
00:16:10.920 and how the Trump administration is falling apart,
00:16:14.500 the fear the MAGA is dead you're gonna hear that but don't you expect to I mean truly
00:16:21.900 so anyway all I have to say is we don't have to be part of that noise we really do not I have
00:16:29.660 complete and total total faith in my president and I know for a fact that he has got this
00:16:35.960 and that there is another plan it's really interesting it's his entire demeanor I don't
00:16:41.300 know if you've noticed, but his entire demeanor has changed completely. I mean, he is just
00:16:50.140 completely different. So we'll see what happens. I mean, this is going to be an interesting
00:16:55.340 time, but as we move forward, we continue to do the things that we do. I mean, all I can say is
00:17:04.140 this country is going to be okay because guess what? You're in it and you're going to make sure
00:17:08.760 that it is. 11 countries found out this week that they have a navy they never knew about.
00:17:17.520 I know, this is crazy. Let me say that again, because I had to read it twice myself.
00:17:23.560 There are ships moving all around the planet right now, flying the flag of Dominica. And,
00:17:31.740 you know, this whole thing is crazy. It's a crazy story. There are 11 countries,
00:17:36.740 and not one of them ever authorized a single one of these ships the flags are fake the registry
00:17:46.160 papers are fake the whole country as far as the ship is concerned is fake now here's how it works
00:17:54.960 and i want you to appreciate the sheer nerve of it because if you are an oil tanker and you want
00:18:02.380 to move Iranian crude, you have a problem, right? I mean, nobody will insure you. No real registry
00:18:11.040 will take you. You cannot dock. You are a 700-foot problem with nowhere to go.
00:18:20.420 So what do you need? You need paperwork. You need a flag. You need a country. And if no country will
00:18:28.480 give you one, well, what do you do? You print one. The Treasury Department named it this week,
00:18:38.120 Operation Economic Outcast. The operation reached into India, where a network was running what
00:18:47.680 the Treasury describes as counterfeit maritime registries, manufacturing the documents and
00:18:55.760 the flags of 11 sovereign nations that never agreed to any of it. Four men named, five Shadow
00:19:05.320 Fleet takers designed. And the thing I keep coming back to is that this is not hacking.
00:19:13.600 Nobody broke a lock here. There was no lock. They sat in an office and they invented the authority
00:19:21.800 and then they sold it for a while to the world
00:19:25.720 and they just accepted the piece of paper.
00:19:29.720 It's the crazy part.
00:19:32.180 Well, Secretary Besant, he put it in writing
00:19:34.700 and I'm going to read you his exact words
00:19:37.100 because this is the sentence that should ruin somebody's week.
00:19:43.180 We know where you are 0.73
00:19:44.920 and we will sanction those who continue supporting the Iranian regime 0.83
00:19:49.720 whether by land sea or air we know who you are that is how I want to open this show on a Friday
00:20:01.140 not with a threat not with a promise because I do not make promises up here I mean this is with a
00:20:08.460 receipt the names are there are on the release the ships are on the release the 11 flags
00:20:18.520 are on the release. So who had the keys? Nobody did. That is the point. Nobody gave these people
00:20:31.860 anything. They printed their own and they got away with it right up until somebody in Washington
00:20:38.780 went looking for the printer the full thing is just crazy that we're living in a world that is
00:20:50.220 this nuts but we are i mean how does something like this happen i have no idea and we have more
00:20:57.400 for you because there's just so much happening in this crazy world right now and i'm trying to
00:21:02.900 catch up with myself over here i say i'm a few i'm a few back i'm trying to i've got this new
00:21:07.820 thing that I'm trying to work on here okay this is the one I believe all right so we've had a lot
00:21:15.320 of changing hands we've had a lot of things going on but the lock on this country's food and medicine
00:21:23.440 and the password this was totally crazy there were five federal agencies that put their names
00:21:32.780 on one piece of paper yesterday, SISA, the FBI, Health and Human Services,
00:21:41.160 the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Transportation,
00:21:46.380 five of them on one fact sheet.
00:21:50.340 Now, that does not happen because somebody had a slow Tuesday.
00:21:53.860 And here is what it actually says.
00:21:55.700 somebody out there is reaching into a commercial refrigerator controllers right I mean they're not
00:22:04.320 breaking into a building they're reaching in over the internet from wherever they are sitting
00:22:10.660 and the document says what they do once they are in and I'm reading you their words not mine
00:22:17.340 They can, quote, remotely alter settings and force units into continuous heating and defrost cycles, which can cause widespread inventory loss.
00:22:31.540 Now, think about what a refrigeration controller actually controls.
00:22:37.460 I mean, it's the vaccine fridge.
00:22:40.260 It is the blood bank.
00:22:42.280 It is the insulin.
00:22:43.660 It is the walk-in at the back of the grocery store with your Thanksgiving turkeys in it.
00:22:52.400 It is the trailer on the interstate right now with somebody's medicine in the back.
00:22:58.720 The sectors are listed on that page.
00:23:02.440 You have health care and public health.
00:23:05.740 You have chemical, food and agriculture, and transportation.
00:23:09.520 that is the food and that is the medicine i mean that is it that is the whole list
00:23:16.480 now how are they getting in because this is the part that made me really go what is going on here
00:23:24.880 well the documents they listed out authentication bypass code interjection
00:23:33.560 weak configurations controllers that are quote unpatched or internet accessible and then this
00:23:43.680 default credentials i mean think about that nobody picked this lock the key was taped to the door
00:23:55.680 and the document goes further than inventory which is the line that really got me
00:24:00.780 It says, temperature can change, quote, create a fire hazard.
00:24:06.480 And it says it can, quote, indirectly harm consumers if products are consumed after unsafe storage.
00:24:16.540 So, think about that.
00:24:19.940 I mean, read that one in your mind.
00:24:23.600 Think about it.
00:24:24.520 Look at it and think about it.
00:24:25.700 Here I am sick as a dog and I'm going, okay, did I eat something or did I take something
00:24:32.040 that should have been cold that actually was defrosted?
00:24:35.360 Is that why I'm feeling as badly as I do right now?
00:24:39.720 Food that got warm and then cold again does not look any different.
00:24:44.820 It doesn't smell any different.
00:24:46.800 I mean, it goes on the shelf and it goes in the cart and nobody knows that anything happened.
00:24:51.920 Now, I want to be really careful about this, because this document names no country.
00:25:01.680 I mean, zero.
00:25:02.900 It does not say who.
00:25:04.200 It does not point anywhere.
00:25:06.580 And I'm not going to point for it, because the second somebody slaps a flag on this,
00:25:11.500 the story stops being about the open door, and it starts being about the fight.
00:25:15.300 And the door is still open either way.
00:25:17.880 so here is the question this hour is asking who had the keys on this particular one everybody did
00:25:28.940 anybody with a browser and a manual so i mean scary stuff i i don't know as i'm sitting here
00:25:39.300 I'm going, have I been poisoned? I don't know. Oh my gosh, it is just crazy stuff. I don't know
00:25:48.480 how you even process something like that. This whole world has been nuts. I mean, for quite some
00:25:53.540 time, but we're maybe we're just hearing about it because of social media. But these are insane
00:25:59.580 stories. I just I never know what else is going to be in the bag. So every death sentence, yes,
00:26:09.180 we're going to move to California. If we're on the subject of crazy, we might as well go there.
00:26:14.700 And California, as you know, gruesome new scum, he is exiting and it just couldn't happen any 0.99
00:26:20.180 sooner. And so thankful for that. But every death sentence in California, all of them changed by 0.99
00:26:30.340 one hand with one letter on a Thursday. I mean, not a court, not a vote, but a letter.
00:26:40.600 Yesterday, the governor of California published it on the state's own newsroom page.
00:26:48.340 His name is on it. I mean, this is not a leak. It is not a screenshot somebody sent me. It is
00:26:54.240 not a report of a letter. It is the letter. And what it says is that he plans to change
00:27:02.420 every death sentence in that state to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
00:27:12.460 Every one. Now, I want to read that back slowly because it went past fast and it should not go
00:27:21.520 pass fast. This guy, he released all of them. Every person in that state who was tried and who
00:27:30.480 was convicted and sentenced to death by jury and a jury of 12 people who sat in a room and heard
00:27:39.680 all of it, every one of those sentences changed. Not reviewed, not appealed, not sent back to
00:27:50.960 anybody, changed. And the instrument that does that is a piece of paper with one signature on it.
00:28:01.680 Now, you know where I come down on this, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise, but
00:28:05.840 I want to put my own opinion down on the desk for a minute, I mean, face down, because
00:28:11.900 the politics is not the most interesting thing in that letter.
00:28:17.880 So watch with me what did not happen in this one.
00:28:21.440 This is the part nobody else is going to lead with today, and is the only part that will
00:28:26.100 still matter in actually 10 years.
00:28:29.160 A court did not do this.
00:28:31.960 There was no hearing. There was no appeal moving through the system. No judge reading a record and finding something wrong in it. I mean, nobody stood in front of anybody and argued the other side. Not one lawyer had to persuade one person of anything.
00:28:53.360 the legislature did not do this nobody introduced it nobody debated it in a room with lights on
00:29:03.240 nobody had to put their name on a board next to a yes or no and nobody has to go home this weekend
00:29:10.940 and explain that you know the vote to the people you know who sent them there none of that and the
00:29:19.400 Voters, they did not do this.
00:29:22.160 Nobody asked them.
00:29:23.840 There was nothing about this on the ballot they were holding for four days ago.
00:29:29.340 I mean, this is crazy.
00:29:32.340 I mean, they stood in those booths on Tuesday with a pen in their hand.
00:29:36.000 They marked the things they were given to mark.
00:29:37.900 They went home, and this was not one of them.
00:29:42.080 One office, one letter, every sentence in the state.
00:29:50.100 That is the key that I have been turning over in my hand all day.
00:29:53.820 I mean, littermates, it does not get lighter.
00:29:58.060 It actually gets longer the more I hold it.
00:30:00.660 It's crazy.
00:30:02.040 Because the question that comes to mind this hour, and it's really worth asking, is not whether he is right.
00:30:11.140 I mean, the people I disagree with, they love each other to death.
00:30:15.140 I mean, but they will argue over the death penalty, right?
00:30:18.740 I've seen that discussion play out several times over and over again.
00:30:23.920 I mean, I have sat at a table with good people on both sides of that.
00:30:28.400 And I've listened to both of them being it.
00:30:31.560 The question this hour is asking, you know, who had the keys?
00:30:37.720 And on this one answer, I mean, it is as clean as it ever gets.
00:30:42.780 One man had them.
00:30:44.400 One man is holding a single key that reaches into every cell in a state at the same time.
00:30:53.800 And the only thing standing between that key and the lock was whether the man holding it felt like turning it.
00:31:02.460 He felt like it, so it turned.

00:31:34.100 now the turn and i will leave that alone because everybody is going to spend today arguing about
00:31:48.500 the death penalty and that argument again it is a hundred years old and nothing nothing that i can
00:31:55.940 say in the next 90 seconds is going to move it an inch so i'm not going to spend my time on that one
00:32:03.080 I am going to spend it on the thing sitting underneath, which is a power.
00:32:09.320 And it's that power.
00:32:11.900 It's this big.
00:32:13.520 It's resting in one pair of hands and nothing in that letter required it to ask anybody for permission.
00:32:20.840 I mean, that is not a small thing to hand one person.
00:32:24.620 I mean, it's like handing a small thing to a person like either, and it's the part nobody wants to sit with.
00:32:31.600 So think about it.
00:32:32.720 I mean, a power is not safe because the right person is holding it today.
00:32:37.720 A power is only as safe as the worst person who will ever hold it.
00:32:43.760 And every one of those people gets the keys eventually.
00:32:48.220 That is what an office is.
00:32:51.560 The office outlives the person who's in it.
00:32:54.760 And whatever you let that office do once, you have let every future occupant of it do.
00:33:01.440 for as long as the office exists
00:33:04.080 and you will not be in the room
00:33:06.860 the day that they decide to.
00:33:10.560 It's a scary thing.
00:33:12.580 I have been thinking about the power 1.00
00:33:15.360 that new scum of all people has 1.00
00:33:17.880 and it terrifies me. 1.00
00:33:20.860 Absolutely terrifies me.
00:33:24.200 I don't know about you,
00:33:25.360 but California, 1.00
00:33:26.260 it's really scary but the good news on that front is that we're getting rid of new scum 0.98
00:33:34.960 I mean seriously that is something that we all need to do is think about the positives especially 0.96
00:33:41.640 right now because we've lived through Biden and I did not think or oh Biden right I didn't think
00:33:46.840 we were ever going to get through that one so California they wrote the word prohibits
00:33:56.140 on its own ballot. Now this is a confusing one, so you're going to have to stay with me because
00:34:00.740 it's the way California writes. It's not a headline about a ballot. I mean, it's not somebody's spin
00:34:08.660 on the ballot. The ballot itself. Well, littermates, I want you to hear this the way
00:34:15.980 a person standing in a booth heard it on Tuesday. And I'm going to read it slowly because every
00:34:21.740 single word in it was picked by somebody who got paid to pick it. This is the quote. Prohibits
00:34:31.120 citizens from voting unless they present government-issued identification.
00:34:39.160 That is Proposition 39. That is not my summary of Proposition 39. That is the official title.
00:34:49.440 That is the sentence the state printed on the paper.
00:34:54.680 So here it is again.
00:34:58.420 Prohibits citizens from voting.
00:35:03.940 One word in it, and it is the state that has already told that voter that a measure about showing an ID card is a measure about stopping people from voting.
00:35:16.080 So let me tell you how I got this.
00:35:18.600 because today the part is that is part of the story i mean of two i mean the two obvious places
00:35:26.440 that you would go looking for california results they're no good one of them comes back empty i
00:35:31.660 went i searched the other one bounces you to a page with nothing on it so i went to the secretary
00:35:38.160 of state's own returns feed and i'm going to quote the state's own reporting line to you because
00:35:44.380 it's important that you have it 100 of precincts reporting 23,860 of 23,860 all precincts reporting
00:36:00.940 that is the phrase and that is all so I'm not going to claim you know because that is all the
00:36:09.160 state told me. I'm not going to claim anything else. Proposition 39 failed. 40.7 yeses. 59.3
00:36:21.540 noes. And now I'm going to be straight with you because I do not hand you a theory and call it a
00:36:27.820 receipt. I never do that. I cannot tell you the title is the reason that it failed. I did not
00:36:34.240 stand behind anybody in a booth I mean there was no document in front of me that says that
00:36:39.640 I'm going to go and I'm not going to you know I'm just going to go and tell you exactly
00:36:45.620 what was on there I mean the state wrote it I can tell you flat with the paper in my hand
00:36:52.920 who wrote the title it was the state so think about what that sentence does I mean it is the
00:37:02.480 only description that most people will ever read about that measure I mean it's not a pamphlet it's
00:37:08.940 not the ads that sentence it sits right on top of the choice it is the last thing a person's eyes
00:37:19.580 touch before the pen goes down and once that pen goes down it does not come back up
00:37:26.360 And on a measure about showing identification, the words that office chose to put in front of every voter in that state were prohibits citizens from voting.
00:37:43.780 Not requires, not verifies, not confirms, not checks, prohibits.
00:37:53.380 i show an id to buy cold medicine okay i show an id to get on a plane i show an id to pick up a
00:38:05.280 package at the counter in my crazy hollywood post office nobody has ever written on a government
00:38:14.060 form that the pharmacy prohibits citizens from buying anything.
00:38:23.040 But on one thing that decides who runs the country, the pen called it prohibition.
00:38:34.280 And it is not the office that, you know, can't write a soft sentence. It's not like that.
00:38:40.760 I mean, when it wants to, it certainly can.
00:38:44.200 The same feed carriers, the whole board, I mean, 14 measures, the titles are all sitting
00:38:50.240 right there next to each other.
00:38:52.140 And that is what makes this so clean.
00:38:54.820 I mean, one of them reads, increases state's rainy day fund.
00:38:59.580 I mean, that is warm, a rainy day fund.
00:39:03.220 I mean, who in the world is against a rainy day fund?
00:39:06.900 Honestly.
00:39:07.340 Another one reads, provides permanent funding for schools and health care by extending existing tax on high incomes.
00:39:19.140 Provides, permanent, extending, existing.
00:39:26.320 Nobody is raising anybody's taxes in that sentence.
00:39:30.240 Somebody is just extending a thing that already exists.
00:39:34.840 that one passed. So the pen knows how to say, you know, provides. It definitely does. The pen
00:39:46.060 knows how to say increases. The pen knows how to say authorizes. And when the pen wants a no,
00:39:56.840 it knows exactly how to get one. There is another measure on that board titled
00:40:05.340 Limits Voters' Ability to Raise Revenues for Local Government Services.
00:40:15.860 Limits Voters' Ability to Raise Revenues for Local Government Services. Limits. Voters'
00:40:25.660 ability three words into the title and the voter has been told that voting yes takes something
00:40:33.480 away from them that one failed too 44 44 3 to 4 to 55 7
00:40:45.180 Same office, same ballot, same day
00:40:52.460 Soft words on some of them
00:40:55.580 And a locked door on the others
00:40:58.880 And then on voter ID
00:41:02.840 The pen reached for prohibits
00:41:06.880 That is the turn
00:41:10.380 And that is the whole point of this
00:41:13.880 Everybody is going to argue about the yes and the no.
00:41:18.540 I mean, the part that was over before Tuesday morning even started was the wording.
00:41:25.600 The wording.
00:41:28.160 Whoever holds the pen gets the first word.
00:41:32.840 So they frame the question, and a framed question is already half of an answer.
00:41:38.340 I mean, you can go and win the whole argument in the pamphlet, in the ads, on television, on every platform there is.
00:41:46.820 And the pen still got there before you.
00:41:49.840 Printed on the paper, free, waiting in every booth in that state.
00:41:56.720 One more off that same board because it tells you what that electorate will do when the sentence is in front of them and when it's plain. 0.90
00:42:05.920 Proposition 44 would have required community health clinics
00:42:11.880 to spend 90% of their revenue on program services
00:42:17.220 and they would have spent it on patients
00:42:20.620 It lost 18 to 82
00:42:26.100 18 82 percent said no to clinics spending their money on care
00:42:38.180 now i am not going to sit up here and pretend like i can explain that number to you
00:42:48.920 I can only read it to you and in my shocked voice with my shocked face when I started
00:42:56.120 putting this whole thing together going, what?
00:43:02.340 So here is the question that this hour keeps getting asked and it's who had the keys?
00:43:13.280 Well, on this one, it was not a judge.
00:43:16.300 It was not a poll worker.
00:43:17.780 It was not a machine, and it was not a court.
00:43:22.420 It was a writer.
00:43:24.540 One office, one sentence, no vote ever taken on the sentence itself.
00:43:30.000 And that sentence stood in front of every voter in that state all day for free.
00:43:37.880 How does that sit with you all?
00:43:41.880 I mean, how do you process something like that?
00:43:45.520 I mean, do you feel like you've been deceived?
00:43:47.780 Or do you feel like people just, I don't know.
00:43:55.760 Crazy.
00:43:59.660 So the wild thing is, this has been just an incredible, incredible couple of days.
00:44:06.060 I mean, we've had all kinds of crazy news that has happened.
00:44:10.700 And one of the stories that came out, and I'm going to put this one, of course, on the screen,
00:44:16.240 is that we do have some contest about that election.
00:44:19.840 I mean, not everybody just said,
00:44:21.200 okay, we're just going to accept the results.
00:44:24.040 In fact, there are a lot of people
00:44:26.580 that have a problem with those results.
00:44:29.340 And you know who I'm talking about.
00:44:30.900 There are a lot of the good people out there
00:44:32.720 that have been doing the math and saying,
00:44:34.360 hey, something about this doesn't quite add up.
00:44:39.400 Well, one of them is Lauren Boebert's campaign.
00:44:43.300 Very unusual voting patterns.
00:44:46.240 People are guessing and waging whether President Trump is going to say that it was a stolen election.
00:44:54.720 They're just waiting on their seats, ready to pounce.
00:44:59.440 But this one is a definite unusual pattern.
00:45:02.180 And, of course, a Democrat lead that shrinks but never flips.
00:45:05.900 I mean, it feels like, you know, counting until the right number appears.
00:45:10.340 It's the same script every cycle.
00:45:12.920 The recount should clear it up pretty good.
00:45:16.240 But, yeah, I mean, we're sitting here watching some of the bigger races that wrapped up clean on election night.
00:45:24.360 But this Colorado 4th District count, it kept moving with a margin still under 1%.
00:45:30.520 Thousands of ballots left.
00:45:33.020 You had Scott Gessler, the campaign attorney and former Colorado Secretary of State, released the statement on Tuesday.
00:45:41.160 He said that a significant number of votes remain outstanding and that the team is fighting for every vote while making sure every legal vote is counted.
00:45:54.500 Ballot returns have trended in one direction since the election night and that has been cut the margin, that it was under one percentage point.
00:46:03.660 gessler added that there are investigate that they are investigating some of some very unusual
00:46:10.960 patterns and they expect the race to head to a recount whether you know one way or the other
00:46:17.120 that that's where it's headed another one in mississippi same thing razor razor thin
00:46:22.960 so we're going to see what happens i mean the final tally will decide you know the representation
00:46:28.480 for the next term any recount request would land in a state court and it could do it could stretch
00:46:35.960 into december voters in that district will see their taxes and local rules shaped by whoever
00:46:42.780 is certified but these are the kind of things that happened the other one that was really unusual
00:46:49.980 And it's Murkowski. You feel probably the same way as I do about her.
00:46:57.760 Murkowski. When in the world are we going to primary this person?
00:47:02.140 Well, it's going to be very difficult if she continues to decide how the votes are counted. 0.99
00:47:08.640 That's for sure. I mean, this whole rank choice voting thing has gotten really out of hand.
00:47:13.100 but this was an interesting one and it was Alaskans basically telling her how they feel
00:47:19.520 about her. Alaska voters, they told Murkowski the obvious. Only citizens vote here.
00:47:29.400 Only citizens vote here. That's it. I mean, 70% made the law while she fought the idea.
00:47:37.980 She fought the Save America Act along with the same names that you've heard over and over again.
00:47:45.860 And the Alaska voters said, no, we're not playing anymore.
00:47:51.000 So they approved ballot measure 3 by 69.64% to 30.36%.
00:47:59.420 I mean, this measure, it was unreal.
00:48:03.380 It was 142, 616 yes votes.
00:48:07.980 to 62,175 no-votes, and it amend state law to state that only United States citizens may vote in Alaska elections.
00:48:22.480 The sponsors included the former House Speaker, Mike Chenault, and former Senate Majority Leader, John Coghill.
00:48:32.160 So the results, they come from the November 3rd election
00:48:37.140 and the final certification is still pending.
00:48:40.480 But wow, you want to talk about the people that are saying,
00:48:44.780 hey, you know what?
00:48:46.260 There's something wrong here and we've got to fix it.
00:48:50.720 And if you're not going to fix it,
00:48:52.560 we're going to put it in our own hands
00:48:54.280 and we're going to fix it for you.
00:48:56.180 I was thrilled over that one.
00:48:57.740 That one was one of the ones that really put a huge, huge smile on my face because I thought about it and I was like, wow, finally, they're actually standing up and they're saying, hey, this is wonderful.
00:49:13.140 We've got the opportunity and we're going to put you in your place.
00:49:15.940 And they did that.
00:49:18.620 Really, really amazing stuff.
00:49:20.380 I'm so happy for Alaskans because I feel like for so long they have not had a voice.
00:49:25.680 They truly have not.
00:49:27.740 And then there was the whole thing with Harmeet Dillon.
00:49:30.740 Now, that's an interesting one as well.
00:49:33.280 Now, you know, I love Harmeet.
00:49:35.300 I really do.
00:49:36.240 But again, we have got a shakeup that is going on and it needs to be talked about.
00:49:43.720 So somebody ran the biggest election watch this country has ever run.
00:49:50.780 And three days later, that somebody is a former somebody.
00:49:57.740 Now, let me put the dates next to each other because that is the whole thing.
00:50:02.520 And that's basically the entire part of this.
00:50:06.020 Two dates.
00:50:08.060 November 3rd, it was the State Department.
00:50:11.440 They put out their own press release on its own letterhead.
00:50:14.420 And the headline is that it is sending election monitors into all 50 states.
00:50:20.980 All 50.
00:50:23.100 Not the handful. 1.00
00:50:24.560 Not the usual suspects.
00:50:25.860 not the six counties somebody sued over, every state in the union at the same time for the
00:50:33.900 first time the department has ever done it. And the people who ran that was the Civil Rights
00:50:41.520 Division. That's whose operation it is. That's whose name is on the paper. Now go and look at 0.59
00:50:50.060 that divisions leadership page today go look at it yourself i mean it is justice.gov slash crt
00:50:58.920 three letters it is public you do not need a log on and you don't need me i mean it's just right
00:51:06.400 there but the top line of it says right now it went from harmeet i mean you know harmeet i'm so
00:51:16.860 proud of what she has done in our state, truly. I mean, this was the first time this country has
00:51:23.300 ever monitored an election in every single state at once. And this is her division. And she's done
00:51:29.300 a fantastic job in California. She knows exactly about the fraud that goes on here. She's talked
00:51:34.960 about it. But there was something that was very unusual that happened because the top line now
00:51:43.320 says acting.
00:51:47.340 Jesus A. Oste.
00:51:49.960 He is the acting assistant attorney general.
00:51:54.500 It's a new name.
00:51:56.240 And the word acting sitting in front of it,
00:51:59.600 like a note that somebody left on the fridge,
00:52:02.760 Harmeet Dillon is not on that page anymore.
00:52:06.580 She was confirmed to that job in April of last year,
00:52:10.260 just so you all know.
00:52:11.100 I mean, she ran that division through the whole thing.
00:52:15.960 And the division that she ran just finished the 55th state, the first 50 state monitoring
00:52:23.200 operation in the history of the Department of Justice.
00:52:28.820 And about 48 hours after the election it monitored, it has a different chief.
00:52:35.740 Poof.
00:52:36.860 Just like that.
00:52:38.040 There's no explanation.
00:52:39.440 There's nothing.
00:52:40.320 I mean, the last thing I saw was that she was knitting some really cool things and she
00:52:45.340 had beautiful flowers in her yard.
00:52:47.160 I mean, things were pretty cozy from what I could gather.
00:52:52.640 But I want to be really careful here because I've watched the way the other side does this
00:52:58.080 and I'm not going to do it.
00:53:00.640 I do not know why she left and I'm not going to pretend like I do.
00:53:04.640 I mean, there is no filing.
00:53:06.360 There is no letter that I can hold up.
00:53:09.620 There's no document anywhere that tells me the reason.
00:53:12.640 And if anybody is on TV telling you that there's a reason,
00:53:16.560 ask them which piece of paper they are reading off of
00:53:19.500 because I looked and I couldn't find one.
00:53:24.160 So I'm not going to hand you a motive.
00:53:26.560 I'm going to hand you the two dates
00:53:28.320 and I'm going to let you be a grown-up about it.
00:53:32.180 I mean, that's it.
00:53:34.140 What I do want to say about her, though, 0.94
00:53:36.600 and I want to say this while she can still hear it, she took the Civil Rights Division, 0.99
00:53:43.940 which for years was the place where the worst ideas in American government went to get a lawyer,
00:53:50.780 and she pointed it at voter rolls, at parental rights, at religious liberty, at anti-Semitism,
00:54:00.720 on campuses that had spent two years pretending not to notice it.
00:54:06.600 She took the division that used to be the enforcement arm of the stuff we all complained
00:54:12.600 about, and she made it the enforcement arm of the stuff we actually wanted.
00:54:19.560 Now, that is not a small thing to do to a federal bureaucracy.
00:54:24.780 Most people do not move one of those an inch.
00:54:29.580 She turned one around.
00:54:31.300 and here's the part that i'm sitting with because everybody else is covering this as a personal
00:54:38.880 story a name went off the page i mean you know i mean put it in the briefs move on well nobody is
00:54:47.360 covering it for what it actually is which is that the unit that just finished watching 50 states
00:54:55.660 lost the person who was watching now those are not the same story and one of those is a rolodex
00:55:05.640 the other one is a question so here is my question and it is a question and i'm going to leave it as
00:55:13.960 a question the paper says 50 states on november 3rd the page says acting on november 6th
00:55:25.660 who looked at what came back?
00:55:29.640 Because somebody did.
00:55:32.180 All 50 states reporting something.
00:55:35.000 They reported it.
00:55:37.180 That operation produced something.
00:55:40.840 And the person whose division produced it
00:55:43.440 is not the person sitting in that chair today.
00:55:48.160 So I'm not telling you those two things are connected.
00:55:51.400 I'm telling you that nobody has showed me
00:55:53.780 that they are not.
00:55:55.660 And I notice that nobody is asking.
00:56:00.140 But Harmeet, thank you.
00:56:02.400 If you're listening, genuinely, thank you.
00:56:06.400 You did the part of that job that nobody thought could be done and you did it fast.
00:56:12.980 And whoever is sitting in that chair with the word acting in front of your name, 50 states reported in on Tuesday.
00:56:22.000 somebody should probably read it
00:56:26.800 I would think
00:56:30.280 I mean, wouldn't you? 0.58
00:56:35.240 Crazy, again, here we are at crazy
00:56:38.320 alright, so
00:56:41.720 the real wild thing, I mean, before
00:56:46.000 we get into the end of this show, I mean, I want to
00:56:50.620 basically close where we started and I want to close on somebody who actually had them real keys
00:56:59.420 not a fake flag and not a default password not a pin but the real thing a former FBI agent has
00:57:10.260 pleaded guilty to stealing 2.47 million dollars in cryptocurrency and the way he did it was the
00:57:18.020 whole reason that this is my last story today he used wallet credentials credentials he got from
00:57:27.360 the fbi investigations so walk through that with me okay the bureau works a case in the course of
00:57:36.740 working it they come into possession of the keys to somebody's crypto wallet which in that world
00:57:42.620 is not a metaphor at all. The private key is the money. Whoever holds the string of characters
00:57:50.180 holds the coins. There is no bank to call. There is no fraud department. And a man whose entire job
00:57:58.280 was to be trusted with that looked at it and took it. Now I have to be straight with you about one
00:58:05.400 thing because I tell you when I have the paper and I tell you when I do not. I could not pull
00:58:12.840 the Justice Department's own release on this one before the air of this show, before we got on
00:58:17.720 there. I tried. That's why it was a few seconds late. I really tried. I was really searching
00:58:23.000 hard for it because I wanted to put it up there for you to see. Their news pages come back empty
00:58:27.940 to me. So this is reported. It is a guilty plea. And I'm telling you that is where it is from. And
00:58:36.660 if this release turns up, I will put it on the screen on Monday. And I'm not saying his name
00:58:42.160 today because I'm protecting him. That's not the reason why. It's because I do not have the
00:58:47.320 document in my hand. And the day I start, you know, saying names off a screenshot is the day
00:58:52.560 you should stop listening to me altogether.
00:58:55.720 But here's why he closes the show.
00:58:59.580 Every story I brought you today, truly,
00:59:03.520 I mean, when you think about it,
00:59:05.320 it was all about access.
00:59:08.220 People who printed authority they were never given.
00:59:11.580 A division that lost the person running it
00:59:14.900 two days after the biggest job it has ever done.
00:59:18.380 a refrigeration controller with the factory password still on it
00:59:24.460 one man with a pen in every sentence in a state
00:59:29.040 a ballot title written by the people the ballot is about
00:59:34.220 in every single one of those somebody had a key
00:59:39.100 and the thing about keys is that they do not have opinions
00:59:43.900 a key does not know whether you are supposed to be holding it
00:59:48.000 It just opens the thing every time for whoever is holding it, which means the only question
00:59:57.400 that has ever mattered in any of this is the one that I have been asking you for an hour.
01:00:04.920 Who had them?
01:00:08.140 He pleaded guilty.
01:00:10.120 I mean, that is a receipt.
01:00:11.800 He had the keys and now he has a conviction.
01:00:14.940 and somebody somewhere did the unglamorous work of catching a man who was supposed to be one of
01:00:21.820 the good ones. So that is what I want to leave you with on a Friday. Somebody is still checking.
01:00:32.620 Now, for those of you that want something to do, as long as my voice will hold up, well,
01:00:38.020 whether it does or whether it doesn't, I've done it rain, sun or shine. I mean,
01:00:42.080 doesn't matter. If I'm a little scratchy, I apologize in advance. But tomorrow, if you're
01:00:46.780 not doing anything, I would love to see you back here at 3 o'clock p.m. Eastern Time.
01:00:52.280 Same channel, same deal. We are going to be talking about this, the data centers.
01:00:59.920 Nobody said his name. It's going to be a very interesting one. There's a lot of twists and
01:01:05.040 turns to this story. I think it's one that you will actually appreciate for what it is.
01:01:10.100 but just so everybody knows we will be here doing our thing we've got a great chat it's the same
01:01:15.660 I mean it's the litter mates in the gyms I can't think of anywhere else I would rather be so I
01:01:20.300 hope you will join me for that for that couple of hours as long as I can hold up I have an idea
01:01:25.680 tomorrow's gonna be worse than today I can already tell but we did okay today we were able to get it
01:01:30.560 done I wasn't sure at one point last night but anyway I hope you all enjoy this Friday you
01:01:36.560 really should as as tough as it was we do have a light at the end of the tunnel you all are
01:01:42.340 wonderful people you're truly some of my bestest of friends love talking to you love hearing from

01:02:00.320 And I will see you tomorrow here at 3 o'clock p.m. Eastern Time.
01:02:05.040 In the meantime, you all be safe, be kind to one another, and I will see you tomorrow at 3.
01:02:11.020 Bye.
