Great to have you along today, Friday, August the 15th, 4.14am with the Big Blue Mug of Coffee.
00:00:22.600
I'll give a full update on my health if you're interested at the end of this video.
00:00:27.080
But I'm currently kind of living on my ground floor.
00:00:33.200
I'm sleeping on a hospital bed in my living room.
00:00:37.240
Because I can't go up and down stairs right now.
00:00:39.400
I certainly couldn't get in and out of my bed upstairs without extraordinary pain.
00:00:46.240
And I'm currently under the influence of drugs, although it's not affecting my thinking.
00:00:52.160
But it's keeping me from being in excruciating pain right now.
00:00:56.600
Before I move to today's topic, I'd like to thank everybody that's reached out over the
00:01:03.720
I'd like to thank the people at the Alberta Prosperity Project who reached out to me a
00:01:12.920
I feel blessed that I'm part of an independence movement that would do that for me.
00:01:18.200
Now, keep in mind, I'm shooting this on my Mac.
00:01:24.040
I've got one screen right now and I'm kind of doing guerrilla recording.
00:01:28.680
But I did a video from the hospital the other day talking about the two candidates.
00:01:36.680
The reason I did that video was that story on hiking.
00:01:45.640
That story on hiking out of the East Coast on how people are just so willing to accept
00:01:50.760
stuff like that where people like myself, probably people like you would never accept that.
00:01:56.280
And I've been watching in the news as much as I can over the last few days,
00:02:00.680
some of the crazy stories that have been popping up in Canada.
00:02:06.920
And it came to mind how I could talk about these things when I watched a video from Corey Morgan last night.
00:02:14.440
Now, he's talking about Alberta independence and the question for Alberta independence
00:02:19.720
at the beginning of this video that he did yesterday.
00:02:22.520
But I think there's something something to be learned here from Albertans.
00:02:26.920
And you'll get a reason why Albertans kind of want to move on from Canada when you watch this video.
00:02:32.360
And when I talk about these different things that I saw in the news this week.
00:02:35.880
But I think Canadians can learn about this as well.
00:02:39.640
So let's watch a little bit of Corey's video and I'll come back and explain.
00:02:44.200
Well, I see the first level of court ruled on a motion on the independence quest
00:02:54.600
And throughout basically the APP's motion to just quash the judicial review of the question.
00:03:02.440
And some folks are not sure where to go with this.
00:03:12.760
The establishment is going to do everything it can to fight the independence movement.
00:03:23.720
So now it sounds like it might be one into November before this goes to review.
00:03:28.200
I can't say with confidence how they're going to rule on that, whether or not the question
00:03:43.480
We're not asking anybody's permission, except those of Albertans.
00:03:46.520
And the only way to do it is through a referendum.
00:03:50.600
I'll put a link to Corey's video in the description so you can watch the whole thing.
00:03:54.840
Go over there and subscribe to his channel as well.
00:03:57.000
And pardon me, I'm losing my voice a little bit right now.
00:04:01.720
We're talking about an Alberta-centric issue here.
00:04:05.480
How the Alberta Prosperity Project has put a question forward for Albertans to determine
00:04:11.320
And there are people who want to get in the way.
00:04:19.240
If you ask the average person who wants independence in the province of Alberta,
00:04:32.920
But we don't recognize the country we live in anymore.
00:04:40.040
I learned that as soon as I moved here 13, 14 years ago.
00:04:45.800
We don't want to accept what's going on in Canada right now because we don't recognize
00:04:57.000
You become numb to all the stupidity that goes on, much of it caused by government.
00:05:03.960
Reagan said that government isn't the solution to your problems.
00:05:09.320
So let's look at a couple of stories here, which I'll go through quickly.
00:05:13.720
They kind of have a main theme here that most Canadians,
00:05:19.480
regardless of what side they're on, would that be the left or the right politically,
00:05:24.840
would agree that these stories are ridiculous and shouldn't be happening.
00:05:28.040
But very little is being done about this because we've become numb.
00:05:31.400
And Albertans have become numb to this and want to say goodbye.
00:05:35.960
So you've got this story about Canadians' blood, conservatives calling for an investigation into foreign
00:05:46.200
And the Globe and Mail, which is not a conservative newspaper, reports that Spanish drug maker Griffal is selling products made with plasma obtained from Canadian blood donations.
00:05:58.120
And then we hear that Brookfield Asset Management has been aggressively trying to buy this company and that Mark Carney could benefit through Brookfield.
00:06:09.160
I mean, how is it acceptable that Mark Carney could do this?
00:06:13.560
It is because people are allowing this stuff to happen.
00:06:17.720
Why are we trading our bread basket for a battery pack?
00:06:23.480
It's been going on for months, going back to, I think, before the election campaign.
00:06:28.280
In protecting a shaky electric vehicle dream, Ottawa is putting a $43 billion canola reality at risk, sacrificing your cornerstone of our agriculture economy for a battery pack that may never deliver.
00:06:39.560
And then there was this article that popped up just the other day.
00:06:43.000
They've decided to put a 75.8% tariff on Canadian canola seed, just as it's about to be harvested, on top of the 100% tariffs on Canadian canola oil, canola meal, and peas, and an additional 25% on lobster and pork.
00:06:59.160
How is this even possible in a country like Canada?
00:07:07.340
This is an actual screen grab from Smelted Animals.
00:07:11.000
Today, in the vote-rich RP beheader community, federal officials spend at least $170,000 bringing Canadian ISIS women home from Syria, according to internal government documents that show expenses for ice cream, candy, and wine.
00:07:27.320
They're whining and dying terrorists on your dime.
00:07:39.540
Carney's liberals hiding immigration data as questions mount.
00:07:47.200
Carney liberals have been hiding immigration data from the Canadians for months.
00:07:51.140
Now, after being called on it, the government says it's all in the name of openness and transparency.
00:08:07.640
The party told you to reject the evidence of your ears and eyes.
00:08:16.000
And if all others accepted the lie which the party imposed, if all records told the same tale, then the lie passed into history and became the truth.
00:08:29.200
I mean, there's a famous guy from the 1930s and 40s that said, a lie told once is still a lie.
00:08:37.700
And that's where we are right now in this country.
00:08:42.740
And this is a good indication of how people can push back and make changes.
00:08:49.420
There's a story regarding the Toronto International Film Festival.
00:08:54.260
TIFF removes October 7th documentary film from schedule, citing implausible copyright clearance concerns from Hamas.
00:09:05.560
And I remember when I saw this story, I thought, how is this even possible in this country?
00:09:10.680
You know, when it came to that hiking story, people were mocking Canada from around the world.
00:09:19.180
But people pushed back and you end up with this.
00:09:22.060
TIFF and filmmaker Barry Average reached resolution to screen October 7th doc amid outcry.
00:09:29.620
But I think people are just so tired of dealing with this stuff that they turn it off.
00:09:42.700
If you keep people exhausted and distracted, they won't organize.
00:09:46.360
If you keep them struggling and divided, they won't resist.
00:10:03.340
And this is directly directed, I guess, towards Albertans.
00:10:12.660
The federal government's so-called emissions reduction plan, including its oil and gas emissions cap,
00:10:21.500
But thanks to a freedom of information request obtained by the hub, we now have proof from the Alberta government.
00:10:28.320
Own commission research showing just how bad it will be.
00:10:33.920
And this is why Albertans are pushing back and want independence.
00:10:43.700
$941.7 billion in lost economic activity between 2030 and 2050.
00:10:53.780
$3,291 less disposable income per Alberta household by 2050.
00:11:01.700
More than $196 billion wiped from provincial revenues.
00:11:05.880
For perspective, the much-hated national energy program of the 1980s only cost Alberta $37 billion over four years.
00:11:15.580
Ottawa's current plan will take $102 billion in just the first four years alone.
00:11:25.180
You see, Alberta is doing what Canada isn't doing.
00:11:38.260
And that's why we want the independence question.
00:11:46.040
I've said here many times before, I don't want to go back to the same place again, that Canada is mediocre.
00:11:51.980
You know, I've just come through the healthcare system.
00:11:54.100
And I'm very critical of the healthcare system, but I stood with somebody the other day who works in the healthcare system,
00:12:03.280
who criticized the healthcare system because it doesn't work quick enough.
00:12:06.480
Now, I was in distress last Saturday laying on a bike path in the southern part of Alberta in Fish Creek Park.
00:12:15.380
I've got a broken collarbone and a pelvis is broken in two places.
00:12:22.280
I'm on drugs to just move around my house using a walker.
00:12:29.760
If you're in distress, you'll get the care you need quickly.
00:12:34.200
But I do have to say, on Saturday afternoon, all the way through Sunday, almost into Monday,
00:12:41.160
I had to sit in a very busy emergency room where I got no sleep and it wasn't comfortable at all
00:12:46.040
until I could actually get the care I needed to get on the road to recovery.
00:12:52.480
You accept stories like this, and these are just a few things.
00:12:59.100
And it gets worse, and it gets worse and worse.
00:13:03.060
All that money that Alberta is going to lose because of this emissions thing,
00:13:15.060
If Alberta just left right now, we would be tens of billions of dollars,
00:13:23.720
If we stay, the province will be pilfered by the federal government
00:13:37.800
As a conservative, I say, I want to be left alone.
00:13:43.100
The nine scariest words in the English language, Reagan again.
00:13:57.040
But I also want to be able to keep more of the money that I earn.
00:14:06.800
I don't care what side of the ideological spectrum you're on.
00:14:10.360
I think most people would like to keep more of the money they earn.
00:14:13.160
People work into, what, middle of June now just to pay the taxes in this country?
00:14:21.660
If you're in Alberta, and you're a conservative, and you're off signing that petition for that
00:14:28.240
Blatherskite, Tom Lukasik, who's trying to get in the way of me having a choice in this
00:14:33.860
province to stay or leave Canada, don't you believe that Alberta should be able to keep
00:14:41.360
Don't you believe Alberta should be able to walk away from a country, and Albertans walk
00:14:46.780
away from a country that they don't recognize anymore?
00:14:49.320
I said a while back on a video here that patriotism is a hard thing to fight.
00:14:57.920
I think people are just, they've got this idea that Canada is something special.
00:15:05.440
But by all those stories and more and more that you see every day, I don't think it's
00:15:16.440
A little update on my medical in just a moment.
00:15:18.560
If you like the video, give me a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for
00:15:24.720
Now, as far as I go, I am living in my living room basically right now.
00:15:29.440
I've got a long road to recovery, but luckily I'm at home now where I feel more comfortable.
00:15:40.260
But frankly, I've got to get up right now and get back to bed because I'm in severe pain
00:15:45.880
right now in my right hip, and I'm probably not doing myself any good.
