00:00:23.820 this story turns my stomach. It makes me sick to my stomach. Something that's happening right
00:00:29.980 here in Calgary. Now this is a Calgary-centric story, but it has a national implication.
00:00:34.340 So stick with me on this. I like to think that I live in the sanest part of Canada, the West,
00:00:43.900 Alberta and Saskatchewan. Leave BC out of this. It's called the Left Coast for a reason.

00:01:23.120 this today because of this story right here? Palestinian flag raised at City Hall for the
00:01:28.660 first time. Let me read a little of this for you. This sickens me. A crowd of a few hundred people
00:01:36.300 gathered at City Hall to raise the Palestinian flag for the first time in Calgary's history on Saturday
00:01:41.020 morning. However, it could be one of the last times an event like this occurs. Calgary Mayor Jeremy
00:01:47.740 Farkas, just elected, has said on social media he plans to submit a notice of motion this week
00:01:53.220 that would amend the city's flag policy and let's hope he gets it passed. He says the act of raising
00:01:58.740 other flags can unintentionally heighten tensions here at home. You bet. On Saturday, Sally Okasha,
00:02:06.520 a member of the Palestinian community, said,
00:02:09.420 Today for the first time the Palestinian flag rises here, not in protest but in pride,
00:02:15.240 in recognition and in hope. The flag raising marks the anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of
00:02:20.520 Independence and follows Prime Minister Mark Carney's official recognition of the Palestinian state
00:02:26.500 earlier this year. Canada intends to recognize the state of Palestine at the 80th session of the
00:02:32.660 United Nations General Assembly in September 2025. I think Prime Minister Mark Carney has a
00:02:39.400 warped sense of morality. I think he's a sick person that he would say that. It disgusts me that the
00:02:45.380 Prime Minister of the country said that. And I think Mark Carney learned quickly how to be a politician
00:02:51.560 because what Carney wanted by saying that is to get the Islamic vote. So he panders to Islam and he
00:02:57.860 doesn't care if that vote includes Islamists. And there's a direct correlation between him saying that
00:03:04.300 in this garbage flag, which represents no country, going up at my city hall yesterday.
00:03:14.100 Let's go back to the story from the Calgary Sun. Last week, the Calgary Jewish Federation said it was
00:03:18.960 disappointed and alarmed the flag raising event was occurring. This was an intentional decision that
00:03:24.460 enabled approval of a highly politicized and divisive event on a day that carries significant political
00:03:29.140 meaning. And at a time when Jewish Calgarians are already experiencing unprecedented levels of fear
00:03:34.660 and anti-Semitism, the organization said in a statement signed by CEO Rob Nagus and board president Lisa
00:03:40.220 Libin. Similar concerns were raised in Toronto, where a flag raising was planned for November 17th. Calgary police
00:03:46.360 were present at the event, but no other group showed up in protest. No other group showed up in protest.
00:03:50.840 But imagine if an Israeli flag were put up at Calgary City Hall, which I don't think should happen
00:03:57.220 either. What would have happened if an Israeli flag would have been put up at City Hall? The people
00:04:01.900 waving the Palestinian flag would have been there yelling from the river to the sea. Now, I spoke with
00:04:11.220 Corey Morgan back in October. Corey went over to Israel and he saw the infamous 47-minute video that you
00:04:19.020 can't see because it's so obscene of what happened on October 7th in Israel. And he said, quote,
00:04:25.880 I watched the 47-minute video and it's going to scar me. And he left it there because I don't think he
00:04:31.340 wants to talk about it. And I can't even talk about what happened there because this video would be
00:04:35.500 banned on YouTube. Let me remind you what the Palestinians did immediately after October 7th.
00:04:44.880 There are lots of videos like that on
00:05:14.860 line and some of them are far worse. It's disgraceful. It's disgusting. These people are
00:05:19.220 animals. And you have to remember that after October 7th, before Israel even responded to what
00:05:25.700 happened, there were people waving this flag all around the world calling for the destruction of
00:05:30.860 Israel and the implications that has. And you know what I'm talking about. Now, as far as this flag
00:05:38.480 raising here in Calgary, don't let this happen in your town, this is the aftereffect of the previous
00:05:45.740 administration, I'm sure, here in Calgary under Jody Gondek, far left nutcase, who didn't get re-elected
00:05:51.240 as mayor. No doubt, if she were still mayor, she'd probably be raising the flag herself.
00:05:56.340 As for Jeremy Farkas, our new mayor here, well done, sir. I only hope you can find support on city council
00:06:01.900 to ensure that only the Canadian flag and the Alberta flag are raised at City Hall in the future,
00:06:09.520 at least for the time being. Now, I don't believe we, meaning Canada, should be running all over the
00:06:15.400 world, sticking our noses into everyone else's conflicts. Now, you might call me an isolationist.
00:06:21.040 That's fine. But even more, I don't believe that we should be inviting other people's conflicts to our
00:06:26.840 shore, which we do far too much in this country. And I think what Mark Carney has done is disgraceful,
00:06:33.980 and he does not represent me. Even though he's the Prime Minister of Canada, he does not represent me
00:06:40.360 and a lot of people who live in one of the sanest places in the country.
