00:00:00.160 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel. It is 6.06 a.m. on Monday, March the 17th.
00:00:06.060 Happy St. Patrick's Day, by the way. Big blue mug of coffee.
00:00:09.260 And today, stick with me. I don't want to make this video very long.
00:00:12.460 I want to tie a few things together for you. I'm going to make a couple of predictions here as well.
00:00:16.440 I'm going to start off by saying that Mark Carney and the Liberal Party are playing 4D chess right now,
00:00:21.600 and Pierre Polyev is playing checkers, and he better be prepared,
00:00:25.080 because something big is coming down the line, and I think it's going to happen over the next few days.
00:00:31.760 So let's look at what's happened over the last 3-4 months.
00:00:36.720 Boy, it's gone by quickly.
00:00:37.720 So Polyev, his whole plan was to go into a carbon tax election.
00:00:43.080 But that is not going to happen now.
00:00:44.800 Carbon tax is gone, regardless of what you think.
00:00:47.560 It is gone for the time being.
00:00:50.980 But there's not going to be a carbon tax election.
00:00:53.320 But here's what's going to happen.
00:00:55.820 Mark Carney and the Liberals are going to make this a climate change election.
00:01:02.520 And they're going to turn this around on Pierre Polyev and say he has no climate plan.
00:01:07.500 Now, Polyev's climate plan is this.
00:01:11.100 Let's get our resources out of the ground.
00:01:13.500 I live in Alberta. A lot of resources here.
00:01:16.140 Let's get them out of the ground.
00:01:17.720 Let's get them to the coast.
00:01:18.740 So we'll build pipelines, which is great for our economy, because we're building things.
00:01:23.060 Let's get all that fuel to the coast and ship it off around the world to cut carbon emissions around the world.
00:01:29.500 And we'll make a lot of money doing it.
00:01:31.380 And it'll be prosperous for Canada.
00:01:33.440 But that is not Mark Carney's plan.
00:01:35.760 Why is he going to the EU right now and not talking with the United States of America?
00:01:42.420 I'll get to that in just a moment.
00:01:44.160 I'm going to tie a bunch of things together for you here and find out how this could be perilous for Polyev and the Conservative Party.
00:01:52.900 But what does Mark Carney really believe?
00:01:55.760 You know it.
00:01:56.900 I know it.
00:01:57.840 Here he is with Rosemary Barton.
00:01:59.420 You know, the oil and gas sector in Canada produces more than a quarter of our emissions.
00:02:04.800 So just and that's in the production and transportation of oil and gas, not the actual use of oil and gas.
00:02:09.480 Gas in our cars used to heat some homes and other things.
00:02:12.620 So we can't meet our ultimate objectives, which is to get to net zero emissions, which, by the way, is what we have to do to prevent the wildfires and the other climatic events from getting worse.
00:02:25.480 What the world has to do.
00:02:26.780 We can't get there unless we do not just have a cap on emissions, but those emissions are brought effectively to zero.
00:02:34.160 Now, so that's the that's the climate physics.
00:02:37.280 You don't need to be a meteorologist.
00:02:38.900 You don't need to be a climate scientist.
00:02:40.640 It's the simple math of it.
00:02:43.080 So Mark Carney is completely against the oil and gas industry.
00:02:48.640 He wants to keep it in the ground.
00:02:51.180 Maybe I should put my Lexit hat on for this one.
00:02:54.100 Yeah.
00:02:56.580 So let's follow along with Mark Carney as he takes his trip for Europe.
00:03:00.560 Everybody's asked the question.
00:03:01.760 I've asked it here.
00:03:02.540 Why aren't we going off to the United States?
00:03:04.380 We've got our biggest trade partner just south of the border.
00:03:07.820 You should be dealing with that problem.
00:03:09.360 But he's heading off to the EU.
00:03:11.440 So why is he going there?
00:03:12.720 Follow along with me.
00:03:13.520 Let's follow along with Mark Carney over the last 12 to 18 hours.
00:03:16.860 So here we go.
00:03:18.560 Oh, he reposted that the Irish Embassy of Canada.
00:03:22.260 He was out for the 200th Montreal St. Patrick's Day Parade.
00:03:25.440 So there he is.
00:03:26.100 Isn't that nice?
00:03:26.920 Oh, he's glad handing with the people in Montreal.
00:03:29.960 Isn't that nice?
00:03:30.680 So then we go to Mark Carney over here.
00:03:34.520 And here he is.
00:03:35.900 During a crisis, serious leadership means working together and focusing on the things we can control.
00:03:41.740 He's with Francois Legault, who's the Premier of Quebec, who he desperately needs to be on his side because he needs the votes in Quebec.
00:03:49.980 They're focused on protecting the Quebec economy and building for a stronger future.
00:03:53.580 Now, Legault is against pipelines coming from Alberta, going through his province.
00:03:59.600 Mark Carney is against that as well, by the way.
00:04:02.120 And as you see, Mark Carney's not sat down with Danielle Smith, who does not like him because she sees Mark Carney as a threat to Alberta.
00:04:11.240 And she's right.
00:04:12.920 He also hasn't got anybody from Alberta in his cabinet.
00:04:15.640 Did you notice that?
00:04:16.540 Okay, so we go over to Rosemary Barton.
00:04:19.380 She tweets this out.
00:04:20.360 Prime Minister Carney departs for his foreign trip.
00:04:22.820 So there he is off on his foreign trip.
00:04:24.620 Oh, here he is meeting with President Macron.
00:04:26.820 So there is the Prime Minister of Canada, not my Prime Minister, talking with Macron from France.
00:04:32.660 Isn't that great?
00:04:33.820 And then we go over here.
00:04:34.940 Oh, I had an excellent call with President von der Leyen about the road ahead for Canada-EU trade.
00:04:41.920 Canada and Europe are strong, reliable partners and a shifting global economy.
00:04:45.960 What does that mean?
00:04:47.080 That matters more than ever.
00:04:48.500 We're ready to secure new transatlantic business opportunities together.
00:04:52.400 So for those of you who don't know who von der Leyen is, this is von der Leyen right here.
00:04:57.180 Ursula von der Leyen.
00:04:58.580 She stands with Ukraine and she is the President of the European Union.
00:05:02.720 Now what does Ursula von der Leyen believe?
00:05:05.520 Let's put a couple of clips together and let's find out about Ursula a little bit and what she believes about things like, well, like Mark Carney believes.
00:05:14.200 Just keep in mind that in less than three decades, we want to reach net zero.
00:05:21.800 That's a huge transformation.
00:05:24.480 And finally, the fourth pillar.
00:05:27.500 We will follow through with our ambitious trade agenda.
00:05:30.680 For clean tech, to deliver net zero globally, there will be a need for strong and resilient supply chains.
00:05:41.760 And this is linked to trade.
00:05:43.740 So we will seek to conclude new trade agreements with Chile, with Mexico, with New Zealand, with Australia.
00:05:51.160 We will do everything to progress with India, with Indonesia.
00:05:54.960 And we have a unique window of opportunity now to take forward finally the EU-Mercosur agreement.
00:06:02.540 So, Honourable Members, this is the plan.
00:06:06.620 So that is Ursula von der Leyen.
00:06:08.900 She believes exactly what Mark Carney believes in net zero.
00:06:13.840 Now, I showed you her fourth point there.
00:06:16.280 She lines out a plan, four points, on how they're going to get to net zero.
00:06:22.060 Deregulation, training people to build batteries for the most part, and trade.
00:06:26.800 And this is why Mark Carney has gone to the European Union.
00:06:30.700 And stick with me here, okay?
00:06:32.320 So what does the European Union believe on trade?
00:06:35.160 Well, let's go to this website here.
00:06:37.080 I got to this directly from the European Union website, the Coalition of Trade Ministers on Climate.
00:06:42.620 And if you go down here to the bottom, it's got their priorities.
00:06:46.240 Foster international cooperation and collective action to promote trade and trade policies
00:06:50.680 that pursue climate action across the World Trade Organization
00:06:54.180 and relevant multilateral, plurilateral, regional, and sectoral initiatives.
00:07:00.380 Identify ways to ensure the multilateral trading system contributes to the global response to climate change
00:07:06.280 and promotes a positive contribution to the climate agenda,
00:07:10.520 including through focused attention across sectors on the nexus between climate and trade.
00:07:18.100 So what does Mark Carney believe?
00:07:19.780 Let's go to his website and find out what Mark Carney believes.
00:07:22.180 Here it is.
00:07:22.660 He wants to help make Canadian companies more competitive so that Canada can leapfrog the United States
00:07:28.100 in international markets and introduce trade measures to ensure fairness for Canadian industries
00:07:33.360 in the global economy and to ally with those countries engaged in the fight against climate change.
00:07:40.640 And if we go to the CBC website,
00:07:42.620 he also said that he would work with other like-minded countries to introduce a carbon border adjustment,
00:07:49.420 effectively a tariff that would ensure countries with weaker climate change policies face financial barriers
00:07:55.560 when they try to export products to Canada.
00:07:58.060 Why did Mark Carney go to the European Union before the United States?
00:08:01.620 Because he's going to come back with a trade deal with the EU over the next few days.
00:08:05.060 And he's going to wave it around and he's going to stick it in pure Polyev's face and say,
00:08:09.940 what's your climate plan?
00:08:11.660 My climate plan deals with trade with dozens of different countries.
00:08:15.020 I just signed a deal with the EU.
00:08:16.900 And we've made ourselves less reliant on the United States
00:08:20.580 because they don't deal with carbon border adjustments.
00:08:24.580 Anything that's going to come from the United States into Canada
00:08:26.900 is going to get a tariff on it because it doesn't live up to Canada
00:08:30.240 and the EU's policy when it comes to climate change.
00:08:34.200 F*** Donald Trump.
00:08:35.440 F*** the United States.
00:08:36.660 We're dealing with the European Union.
00:08:38.460 And they've been working on this for weeks.
00:08:40.200 Let's go back here.
00:08:40.960 Here's Melanie Jolie.
00:08:43.780 Excellent meeting with Melanie Jolie today.
00:08:45.740 The EU-Canada partnership is strong, dynamic, and built to last.
00:08:48.560 They've been working on this for weeks.
00:08:51.240 What's Polyev's plan?
00:08:52.960 Sell our oil all over the world.
00:08:54.560 Carney's plan is completely eliminate our oil and gas.
00:08:57.400 Screw the West.
00:08:59.440 We're getting closer to separation and the destruction of Canada right now.
00:09:03.000 While people are going to vote Liberal to save us from the States,
00:09:06.500 we need to be saved from Mark Carney and the Liberal Party
00:09:08.580 because the destruction of Canada, the groundwork is being laid right now.
00:09:12.720 And finally, I'm going to make a crazy prediction here,
00:09:17.680 but if he gets this deal, he does not want people to find out who he is.
00:09:21.860 The less he says, the better off he is.
00:09:24.200 He's going to come back and maybe next week after prorogation is over,
00:09:28.740 one week from today, he may call an election
00:09:30.640 and play climate change as his main attack on Polyev,
00:09:36.480 who has been wanting to have a carbon tax election for more than two years.
00:09:40.420 What do you think?
00:09:41.120 Give me a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel if you liked it,
00:09:44.460 ring the bell for notifications,
00:09:46.320 and I'll see you in the next one.
