00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 403 a.m. Sunday, March the 15th. Beware the Ides
00:00:10.160 of March. I hope you're having a great day today with the Big Blue Mug of Coffee. Hope
00:00:15.500 you're having a good weekend as well. And you know, I'm 61 years old. You might be a
00:00:21.260 little bit older, a little more well-seasoned, I guess we could say. Don't feel like I'm
00:00:27.140 1961. But, you know, I've gone through a lot of things in my lifetime, particularly when it comes
00:00:31.980 to the ups and downs of the Canadian economy. I've seen it all really over the years. Things have
00:00:37.180 been good. Things have been bad. I remember when my sister and brother-in-law were struggling to
00:00:42.120 afford their mortgage because the mortgage rates were at 17, 18, 19%. It might even have been more
00:00:48.940 than that. It's been a long time. I think that was around the early 80s. Can you imagine? You know,
00:00:54.760 I remember the economic downturn in 2008. Lots of things have happened in my lifetime, but
00:00:59.680 I expect things to get better. And generally, these things are short-lived and things return
00:01:05.380 to normal pretty quickly. But I don't see that happening in Canada right now.
00:01:10.780 I say Canada is a mediocre country. I believe that it is now.
00:01:17.260 And what's happening right now is the government, about to be a majority government under the
00:01:22.680 liberals aren't solving any problems. They don't fix the problem. They subsidize problems in this 0.96
00:01:28.820 country. And it's fine with the liberal voters. Now, I came across a clip here. I'm going to play
00:01:34.320 it for you. And here is Mark Carney. And this clip is absolute gold when it comes to how
00:01:41.460 he uses doublespeak and doesn't really answer the question and really use bullshit to baffle 1.00
00:01:49.460 the brains of Canadians. Let's listen to this clip. Absolute gold, less than two minutes, 1.00
00:01:55.320 and we'll go through it. I'll jump in occasionally.
00:01:58.820 From Mr. Carney, I just want to go back to a response you had to a question about Canadian
00:02:03.060 job losses. Earlier today, you primarily talked about macroeconomics, the major projects office,
00:02:08.480 which has yet to actually approve the project, and some more things the government has announced
00:02:12.720 that are going to be more medium to long-term projects.
00:02:15.540 Okay, so let's just start with that. The Major Projects Office, which is yet to really approve
00:02:23.140 any major projects. The Project Office is here in Calgary. And no doubt, there's hundreds of
00:02:30.400 people working for this Major Projects Office, which costs money. When it comes to jobs as well,
00:02:35.640 government always grows during economic downturns when things are not good. The private sector
00:02:40.620 loses, the government grows. The government doesn't have to claim as many job losses because
00:02:44.860 it just hires more people. But there are really no jobs been announced. He announces an office,
00:02:50.380 a bureaucracy, and nothing happens. He announced a major housing office.
00:02:54.940 And all we got was the bureaucracy. Have you heard about any houses being built?
00:02:59.820 The government will claim they're happening, but they're not. If they were happening,
00:03:03.180 they would show us the proof, but nothing is being built. No major projects,
00:03:09.340 no houses. And we haven't even got to the meat and potatoes of this, which is
00:03:13.180 the job losses. Let's go back to the video. The government has announced that there are going to
00:03:18.860 be more medium to long-term projects, but what's your message to the 84,000 additional Canadians
00:03:25.080 who are looking for work right now, who are worried about their bills today? Well, the first thing is
00:03:29.700 that any job loss, of course, is a challenge for the individuals, for their families.
00:03:38.140 Okay, so I'll give you that. I mean, he's right there. It is certainly a challenge
00:03:41.580 for the individuals and the families. It's the only thing in this clip that he actually says
00:03:46.340 that is true. Let's go back over to the clip and we'll watch some more. Here we go.
00:03:51.640 And what's important is that we're putting in place not just the measures for the long term,
00:03:56.620 by the way, I don't have time to go through all the elements of the premise that aren't exactly
00:04:01.400 accurate there in terms of approvals and moving forward, but also that we're providing
00:04:06.500 support in moving the economy forward. So support in moving the economy forward. What is that
00:04:13.120 support? Well, it's basically welfare. You know, we know that the government is spending more money
00:04:20.140 on people who are unemployed. This is an article, actually from the Prime Minister of Canada's
00:04:25.300 website, September 5th, 2025. So this goes back months. Launches new measures to protect, build,
00:04:31.200 and transform Canadian strategic industries. Really, none of this is happening at all. There's
00:04:36.060 a transformation happening here, and it's a transformation to unemployment. Canadian workers
00:04:40.900 have felt the impact of U.S. tariffs most acutely. Canada's new government investing in our workers.
00:04:46.400 It's more EI, employment insurance. We used to call it unemployment insurance, but they
00:04:51.960 put a positive spin on that. But this is more basically welfare paid for by taxpayers. They are
00:04:58.100 not fixing the problem. They are subsidizing it. They're going to re-skill 50,000 workers. That's
00:05:03.800 50,000 people who are out of work. And they're doing the same thing when it comes to business.
00:05:08.120 As businesses adapt to the new economic landscape, they need time to invest in their future.
00:05:13.620 Canada's new government is spending $5 billion on the new strategic response fund. This is
00:05:17.720 government failure. That's what this is. And the funny thing is, if you look up here,
00:05:22.160 you can see where I searched in this for U.S. tariffs, one of four matches. It's mentioned
00:05:27.340 four times in this short little bit from the government. And the reason they're doing that
00:05:31.700 is they've got to stir up their base.
00:05:33.660 Of course, Donald Trump is the reason
00:05:35.460 why everything's going wrong.
00:05:37.120 As I've said here, it's not Donald Trump's fault.
00:05:39.400 It's the Liberals' fault.
00:05:40.300 Let's go back over to his clip
00:05:42.460 and we'll see what he has to say.
00:05:44.680 We're only 51 seconds in
00:05:46.540 and it gets even better from here.
00:05:48.160 Here's where the Canadian economy is today.
00:05:50.740 Well, we've lost jobs.
00:05:51.940 We've also created jobs.
00:05:53.920 Well, we have taken steps immediately
00:05:56.620 to help Canadians in terms of the tax cut
00:05:59.400 for 22 million Canadians.
00:06:00.740 So he talks about the income tax cut. Well, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy
00:06:08.260 world, as Rick Blaine would say in Casablanca. Let's take a look at the Liberal tax cut. This
00:06:13.340 article takes us back to December 7th, 2025. Liberal tax cut gives poorest Canadians just
00:06:19.880 $11 annually. And they're the ones who need a break more than anybody. They can't afford food
00:06:25.640 right now. We're going to come around to that in just a moment. We'll come back around to the jobs
00:06:29.140 as well. Carney's campaign promise to implement tax cut to deliver real change will amount to
00:06:34.120 working Canadians in the lowest tax bracket, saving about $11 annually. And when the government
00:06:39.780 gives you something, liberal government gives you something, they usually take it away somewhere
00:06:43.780 else. This is from an article about a week later after the Juno one, major tax changes in 2026
00:06:49.520 report, Canadian Taxpayers Federation, right here in payroll taxes, the federal government raising
00:06:54.680 the maximum mandatory Canada pension plan and employment insurance contributions in 2026. These
00:07:01.080 payroll tax increases will cost a worker an additional $262 a year. Meanwhile, you know,
00:07:07.940 they took away the consumer carbon tax about a year ago now. Remember when he signed the document,
00:07:13.820 sort of making it look like an executive order, a la Donald Trump and the White House? I don't
00:07:19.260 even think they've taken the carbon tax off the books yet officially, but they've raised the
00:07:25.080 industrial carbon tax, which is going to cost more money. And they're actually increasing fuel
00:07:29.820 standards in the country. Car manufacturers have to produce cars that go farther on a tank of gas,
00:07:36.100 which ends up costing you money, probably about seven cents a liter. So where they give you
00:07:40.660 something here, they take away from it here, but we're not done. This clip is a minute and eight
00:07:45.840 in. We've still got 50 seconds left. There's still lots of gold here. Let's see what he has
00:07:50.320 to say. And we'll get around to the jobs in just a minute. Providing groceries and essentials
00:07:57.200 benefit to Canadians, so the Canadians most affected. That's a benefit that reaches millions
00:08:04.460 of Canadians, including up to about $1,400 over the course of a year for a family of four.
00:08:10.280 so let's talk a little bit about that I have a real problem with this you've hit rock bottom
00:08:18.280 when people can't afford food anymore and it's disgraceful that this has to happen in this
00:08:23.920 country the liberals and their voters they applaud that this is going on I got a Reagan 0.65
00:08:29.640 quote for you in just a moment that shows you how ridiculous this is you know there's there's a rule
00:08:35.860 when you go out into the woods, you don't feed bears. There was a, I remember a couple of years
00:08:40.920 ago, I was working at the radio station. They had to close down 93 highway between Castle Junction
00:08:45.180 into British Columbia over towards Radium Hot Springs because there was a tour bus that went
00:08:49.680 there that stopped and allowed a group of tourists to go out and throw food to bears on the side of
00:08:54.580 the road. Major problem because what happens is the bears, they become dependent. And first of
00:09:01.380 all, they lose their fear of people, but they become dependent. Well, people are worse than
00:09:05.220 bears. If you start giving them something, they're going to want to keep it. And it's simple to do
00:09:10.780 that. I mean, again, I'll use a quote I've used here before, George Bernard Shaw, the politician
00:09:15.480 that robs Peter to pay Paul will always have a friend in Paul. And this is basically vote buying.
00:09:21.480 But is Carney really doing anything to help people with food prices? People can't afford to buy food.
00:09:27.800 food. It's the most basic thing that people need to afford and they can't buy food. Taxpayers now
00:09:35.880 have to subsidize people in food and they spin it into stories like this. Look at this headline.
00:09:42.020 Prime Minister Carney announces new measures to make groceries and other essentials more
00:09:46.280 affordable. Is that really what he's doing here? No. Food prices are going up. This is from January
00:09:51.080 26. The Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit, that's what this is called, to the tunes of
00:09:57.820 billions of dollars again for 12 million Canadians who can't afford food in this country. Let's go
00:10:03.060 back over to what Carney has to say and we'll continue along. It continues. Now wait just a
00:10:09.300 second. I almost forgot something. I watched the video back and went, you know, I wanted to mention
00:10:13.860 this. Carney didn't bring it up, which I'm really surprised about, how he's making life so much more
00:10:18.140 affordable for people. But he forgot to talk about the school lunch program. So not only is
00:10:22.760 he subsidizing people when it comes to just regular groceries, which are totally unaffordable,
00:10:27.380 he's also subsidizing children at school. What an absolute failure. Liberals rejoice.
00:10:34.860 Let's get back to Carney in this short clip.
00:10:39.680 There's other measures that are coming that would provide immediate support. And the government is
00:10:45.400 very focused on growing this economy and part of how we're going to grow this economy. Yes,
00:10:50.660 it's immediate measures, as I've just indicated, but it's also getting the confidence and the
00:10:55.860 investment in the country, a country that's more independent, that's diversifying our
00:11:01.840 partnerships, that's building first and foremost at home, and then secure abroad. Thank you very
00:11:07.820 much. He talks about investing, but really, is he doing anything to help when it comes to the
00:11:13.200 confidence in Canada when it comes to investing. You've heard Kevin O'Leary talk about this. He
00:11:17.440 doesn't invest in Canada. You know, I can think of a great place we can invest in Canada if we
00:11:22.980 could just get the government out of the way and government regulations and laws under the way. We
00:11:27.120 need a pipeline here. We really want a pipeline. Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, is trying to 1.00
00:11:31.620 find an investor in a pipeline because of this memorandum of understanding. The government
00:11:36.280 passed Bill C-5 last year to try to get around other bills and laws they've created, the anti-pipeline
00:11:42.500 bill, the anti-tanker ban, but they didn't get rid of those. If you want to get investment,
00:11:46.700 Mr. Carney, why don't you just get out of the way? But he's not really helping there.
00:11:50.460 You know, when it comes to people who've lost their jobs, is he helping them? Is he creating
00:11:53.900 jobs? No, we're losing jobs. He's subsidizing people and creating more welfare for people
00:11:59.600 because they can't find jobs. And he hides it around some kind of, you know, retraining program.
00:12:05.740 And businesses are failing simply because of the government. So what does he do with that?
00:12:10.360 creates another welfare program when it comes to businesses. People that can't afford to buy food, 0.56
00:12:16.840 so what does he do? He creates a program to give more money to people to buy food. He doesn't fix
00:12:22.880 the problem. Prices continue to go up. And children, well, parents can't afford to feed their children,
00:12:27.820 create another program, another welfare program when it comes to children because parents can't
00:12:33.220 afford to feed their children anymore. This is liberal failure. Now, when it comes to welfare,
00:12:38.620 this is a Ronald Reagan quote and read this and this is true see what happens here is
00:12:45.160 and it's very sad somebody like myself points this stuff out and people on the left and people
00:12:51.100 who vote liberal and people who like Mark Carney in the liberal party say but look at the great
00:12:56.620 things they're doing this is a success people being out of work and getting money is a success
00:13:03.100 People at home who can't afford food and giving them money is a success.
00:13:08.780 People who can't afford their children and you give them money, this is liberal success.
00:13:14.240 And this was what Ronald Reagan said about welfare.
00:13:18.140 We should measure welfare success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many people are added.
00:13:24.600 We continue to add more people to government welfare.
00:13:27.920 And you can wrap it up in employment insurance.
00:13:31.760 You can wrap it up in subsidies for food.
00:13:34.120 You can wrap it up in school food programs, but it comes down to welfare.
00:13:38.880 Now, let's go along to job losses.
00:13:41.920 This is from Kirk Lubomov.
00:13:43.960 Let me find the clip for you here.
00:13:46.420 And we'll run through this and see what he has to say about jobs.
00:13:49.720 And this is a very short clip.
00:13:51.540 And then we'll look at the actual numbers.
00:13:53.620 Thanks to Kirk for this.
00:13:55.020 If you look at the performance of the labor market over the course of the last six months,
00:14:01.760 uh we've created over 80 000 jobs net over the last six months so is what carney says here true
00:14:09.680 let's go back over to kirk this is his x account you might want to follow him and this is the
00:14:15.120 video i downloaded from kirk right here same clip this is a complete lie by mark carney responding
00:14:20.960 to the disastrous february job loss of 84 000 carney claims canada gained net 80 000 jobs quote
00:14:27.440 if you look at the performance of the labor market over the course of the last six months
00:14:31.440 we have created over 80,000 jobs net, unquote.
00:14:34.940 Here are the facts.
00:14:35.960 Over the last six months, September to February,
00:14:39.640 total employed went from, I'm gonna round these numbers,
00:14:42.720 just over 21 million to just under 21 million.
00:14:47.760 So a loss of 255,000 jobs.
00:14:49.940 Private sector went from 13.7 million to 13.47 million.
00:14:55.900 A job loss of 269,000.
00:14:58.240 public sector went from $4.59 million to $4.62 million, a job gain of $25,000. They pad the
00:15:05.940 employment numbers by hiring more people, which costs you more money. Either Mark Carney is lying
00:15:11.200 or completely clueless to what is going on in Canada. Both are equally alarming. Now, here's
00:15:16.940 where I disagree with Kirk. He's either lying or completely clueless. He can be both, Kirk.
00:15:22.520 I think he's lying, and I think he's completely clueless at the same time.
00:15:27.500 Here are some numbers for you.
00:15:28.780 This takes you back to the July numbers, the jobs report, a source of Stats Canada.
00:15:35.620 And here's the private sector lost jobs as of July 2025, self-employed lost jobs.
00:15:41.040 And the public sector, of course, went up when it comes to jobs.
00:15:44.620 So right now, pretty much in every metric, Canada is failing.
00:15:49.160 Canada is subsidizing mediocrity.
00:15:51.020 it's not Canada I guess we need to be more precise there the people who are subsidizing
00:15:55.360 this mediocrity is you feel very very sad for the people who are losing their jobs because getting
00:16:01.620 a check from the government is not solving your problem getting this so-called training from the
00:16:06.320 government is not solving your problem getting money from the government so you can afford food
00:16:10.620 is not solving the problem and if you can't afford to food feed your kids giving them school lunches
00:16:16.480 is not the problem. But people on the left, people who vote liberal, seem to think these things are
00:16:22.040 successes. And you can go back and read the Reagan quote, which I just showed you. But here's another
00:16:27.000 quote I want you to read to end this. It's actually from Proverbs, and it goes like this.
00:16:34.040 As a dog returns to its own vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. And what is the fool doing 0.99
00:16:41.160 in this case. Well, not eating his own vomit. But the fool keeps voting. Liberal. Thanks a lot for 1.00
00:16:49.000 watching. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up. Subscribe to the channel. Ring
