00:00:00.000 After spending years trying to tear down the oil and gas industry, trying to destroy the heart and soul of my home, Alberta, this guy has the audacity to sit in an Edmonton schoolroom, this Albertan of convenience, this Canadian of convenience, the leader of the Liberal Party from the town that causes so much trouble and strife in my province and probably yours as well.
00:00:26.100 He sits there on Thanksgiving and begs Albertans with his stale, boring rhetoric.
00:00:33.120 He begs us to stay in Canada, to vote the correct way in the referendum.
00:00:38.020 Let's talk about it.
00:00:42.060 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel.
00:00:44.460 It is 4.47 a.m., Tuesday, October the 13th.
00:00:48.140 I hope you're having a great Tuesday.
00:00:49.400 Thank you so much for being here.
00:00:50.960 I don't normally do an Alberta-centric video as my first video of the day, but I think if you live
00:00:59.460 in Canada or anywhere around the world, you need to understand what's going on here in Alberta
00:01:03.580 right now. I talk to people from other provinces and they don't have a good handle on the situation
00:01:09.340 here. I'm in a pretty ornery mood this morning. I guess the best way to put it is I'm really
00:01:19.400 pissed off this morning. I've got some friends. You may have seen them on this channel if you
00:01:24.060 follow us. They go by the name Mr. and Mrs. Albertan, and they're the greatest people.
00:01:29.860 And over the last couple of hours, they've been out, and they're out every night,
00:01:33.500 and coming across stuff like this. Now, these are our signs, the independent signs,
00:01:40.560 for this referendum. These are just tonight, and this is just a few of them.
00:01:45.960 there's a guy going around with a chainsaw chopping all the signs down this is happening
00:01:51.680 across the province they're either being chopped down or they're being painted in some way and this
00:01:56.720 is happening more and more over the last week or so they've been out there for hours fixing these
00:02:00.200 things god love them this is what we're putting up with we're putting up with the rhetoric from
00:02:05.140 the same politicians that hold us back the ones that hold you back people like jason kenny and
00:02:11.440 Mark Carney and Pierre Polyev and Danielle Smith and the head Nenshi and Thomas Lukasik
00:02:15.780 and on and on and on and on. Let's maintain the status quo, folks. Everything's just fine.
00:02:22.920 These people, these people don't have your best interests in mind, do they?
00:02:29.440 Like I said, off the top, Carney's been trying to stop the oil and gas industry here for years.
00:02:35.080 And now they come here with gifts. We're going to give you a pipeline.
00:02:39.420 We're going to spend $8 billion on a military base in Alberta.
00:02:43.620 Well, folks, that's just returning the money to its rightful owner
00:02:46.500 because that money belongs to Alberta.
00:02:48.100 As a matter of fact, I'm going to play some clips from somebody
00:02:50.500 who has a hell of a lot more clout than me that can give you the numbers.
00:02:54.620 And she's on the other side.
00:02:58.060 She knows the score.
00:02:59.320 She knows what's going on here. 0.93
00:03:01.080 She's moved over to the dark side, ladies and gentlemen.
00:03:03.440 Mark Carney puts out a two-minute video.
00:03:06.120 Boy, God love his heart.
00:03:08.320 Two minutes for Alberta, sitting in an Edmonton schoolroom. 0.82
00:03:11.880 I call him an Albertan of convenience, the man who calls himself a European.
00:03:16.140 I am a European, actually.
00:03:17.780 Oh, you are?
00:03:18.380 Yeah, an Irish citizen. 0.99
00:03:20.520 He's a Canadian of convenience.
00:03:22.380 As soon as he loses an election, he'll be back with his friends in Davos, ladies and gentlemen.
00:03:28.340 So let's go through his little video.
00:03:30.740 I'm just going to play little clips of it so you can watch it.
00:03:34.860 I hope you don't vomit.
00:03:36.300 it. So, he says we've got an important decision about staying in Canada. Let's start with that.
00:03:44.800 A week from today, Albertans will have the opportunity to make an important decision
00:03:49.120 about their future, whether to remain part of Canada or begin a long and uncertain process
00:03:56.380 through which Alberta could separate from Canada. Well, first off, advanced polling begins today,
00:04:02.700 and something that's going to make me feel good as I'm going out this morning to vote for option
00:04:06.860 two. And then I'm going to take my 90-year-old mother-in-law out and she's going to vote option 0.85
00:04:11.440 two as well. Now, the other thing he says there is that we have an important decision to make.
00:04:16.440 This is not a binding referendum in Alberta leaving Canada. It's got nothing to do with that.
00:04:21.900 This is an opportunity for you. If you're watching this video right now, sitting on the fence,
00:04:26.360 you've got an opportunity to tell people like Mark Carney, the people who dictate what you can
00:04:31.740 and cannot do in your life. You can tell people like him and others like him to go
00:04:35.180 themselves. And then he goes on to say, well, it's going to be hard. Well, that's a Canadian
00:04:43.160 attitude, ladies and gentlemen. People like Mark Carney don't allow you to do anything. They can't
00:04:47.800 do anything. Alberta is a can-do province. Now let's move on to number two. He claims he's
00:04:53.200 Albertan, sort of like Pierre Polyev, who spent the last 20 years in Ottawa. He's a Albertan of
00:04:59.660 convenience, ladies and gentlemen. Now, I have some perspectives on this choice. I grew up in
00:05:05.720 Alberta. I went to school right here in St. Francis Xavier High School in Edmonton. Other than being
00:05:12.780 born here, Mark Carney's got no ties in Alberta. I find it insulting. His family doesn't even live
00:05:19.460 in Canada. They live in the United States of America. Do you really think if Mark Carney
00:05:23.320 loses an election he's going to set up in Calgary or Edmonton? No, he'll be back in Europe with his
00:05:28.280 pals. He's just coming here now because Albertans are about to take away the toys, and the toys is
00:05:33.760 our money. Now he goes on with the big claim that he's been talking about since he was elected.
00:05:41.620 Last April the 28th, Canada is building big things, ladies and gentlemen.
00:05:46.080 Because we are building big things again in Alberta. Thousands of new homes, high-speed rail,
00:05:52.600 a new pipeline to the west coast that will create lasting opportunity and prosperity
00:05:56.360 for hundreds of thousands of people in this province and across the country.
00:06:01.840 In fact, we're building across Canada at a speed and scale not seen in generations.
00:06:06.300 Canada's working.
00:06:07.780 You know, I almost feel embarrassed for the guy.
00:06:11.880 Build at speed and scale not seen in generations.
00:06:14.720 Well, what have you been building, Mr. Carney?
00:06:17.500 People seem to think he was elected yesterday.
00:06:20.160 He's been around almost 18 months.
00:06:22.100 I don't see any homes.
00:06:23.140 Where are the homes, ladies and gentlemen?
00:06:24.580 He talks about building a pipeline.
00:06:26.700 At the earliest, it'll be probably six years before it even gets done.
00:06:31.280 Likely a decade.
00:06:32.580 We're still waiting to find out if it's actually going to happen.
00:06:35.300 We were told about a week or so ago, it's going to be another year.
00:06:38.460 After hearing an announcement, about an announcement, about an announcement, about an announcement.
00:06:43.900 And we don't even have an investor.
00:06:45.500 Because nobody wants to invest in the place because of people like Mark Carney, because of the Liberal Party, because of Ottawa.
00:06:54.300 What's it going to cost you?
00:06:56.360 $80 billion probably or more, your money. And then he talks about high-speed rail.
00:07:05.740 Did you ask for a high-speed rail line, ladies and gentlemen? The cost of that's $115 billion
00:07:11.020 now, your money. You're on the hook for $200 billion and people should be investing these
00:07:17.240 things if they wanted them. They certainly want oil. Nobody wants a freaking choo-choo train
00:07:22.100 across Ontario and Quebec. Now he says we're divided and you can't build things on fault 0.57
00:07:32.080 lines. Listen to this. Truth is, we can't achieve any of this if we're divided. You can't build big
00:07:39.760 things on fault lines. I'd say this comment was either ignorant or stupid, but I think it's both 1.00
00:07:46.500 at the same time. I mean, have you been watching what's going on in the country you're visiting, 1.00
00:07:51.100 Mr. Carney? A separatist group just got elected in Quebec. You've got Alberta that's on the verge
00:07:59.560 of voting to leave. You've got people in Saskatchewan. I've spoken to them. They want
00:08:03.780 to get out as well. And I'll bet you a large portion of BC would like to join a Western country
00:08:08.120 because of the socialist government they've got there that's given their country away to 0.76
00:08:12.140 indigenous groups. Are you ignorant and stupid at the same time? I think you are. And then to say 1.00
00:08:17.160 that we can't build things on fault lines. Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's not Alberta that's 0.99
00:08:21.540 the fault line here. It's not Alberta that's dividing the country. The fault line goes through
00:08:26.620 Ottawa. And then there's this one. You can't, you can't have a speech from Kearney if you don't talk
00:08:40.780 about, about the threats that we're facing. And we know what he's talking about, ladies and
00:08:45.540 gentlemen. And we should recognize that the world has changed. Canada is facing real threats to our
00:08:50.580 economy, to our security, to our way of life. This just makes me sick. Threats. We know what
00:08:59.340 he's talking about. He's playing to his base. This is the only thing he's got going for him.
00:09:04.500 It's the only thing the other side has going for them. Ladies and gentlemen, fear.
00:09:08.160 I have been waiting since the beginning of the year, back into last year, for one of these people
00:09:16.460 to tell me why Alberta would be better off staying in Canada. I have yet to hear an answer.
00:09:23.060 The threat, ladies and gentlemen, is the guy you're seeing on the screen right here.
00:09:30.180 Where's the trade deal with the United States of America, Mr. Carney?
00:09:33.240 that's the threat
00:09:37.200 you know at times over the last 24 hours as i see the the rhetoric get ramped up when it's
00:09:52.540 specifically talking about a threat and we know what the threat is and here's jason kenny
00:09:57.440 MAGA, right? This is what they've got now. We're MAGA.
00:10:05.280 This is what they talk about. But over the last 24 hours, I've sat here and thought,
00:10:11.380 I need to be diplomatic. I don't want to get into out and out profanity with these blatherskites. 1.00
00:10:22.020 But it's right there and it's ready to come out because I've had enough of these people. 1.00
00:10:26.480 Now, for those of you who don't know what's been going on here,
00:10:29.540 there's a lot more to this than what I'm about to show you.
00:10:33.340 But here's a very well-positioned person who's gone over to the dark side now,
00:10:38.520 and I've got some fine words for her as well,
00:10:41.460 but I don't like to use profanity.
00:10:46.180 On occasion it slips out and I always feel bad about it.
00:10:48.940 But here's a very well-positioned person from this province
00:10:52.000 who's gone over with the politicians,
00:10:54.000 And this is your opportunity, ladies and gentlemen, in this referendum to give them the middle finger.
00:11:00.800 All of them.
00:11:01.960 This is your opportunity for some payback against these people who dictate what happens in your life.
00:11:07.800 But here is a very well-positioned politician in this province telling you just some of the things that have been done to Alberta
00:11:14.780 because of people like Mark Carney and Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party and Ottawa.
00:11:22.980 Well, you have to understand just how damaged Alberta is by the fact that we didn't get pipelines built.
00:11:28.660 If we had built Northern Gateway, if we'd built Keystone and we'd built Energy East, we'd have 2.5 million barrels more per day of production.
00:11:36.160 This onslaught of anti-energy, anti-agriculture and anti-resource development policies have scared away global investments to the tune of a half a trillion dollars.
00:11:46.320 We had $176 billion worth of proposed projects that got cancelled because of the uncertainty created by various government laws.
00:11:55.840 We have been watching this for years. $600 billion in the last 40 or 50 years that have been taken out of this province.
00:12:03.900 You don't think we might be able to do a little bit more on social spending if those $20 to $25 billion stayed here?
00:12:09.540 You don't think we'd be able to cut taxes a bit if those $20 to $25 billion stayed here?
00:12:14.700 It is $5,000 per Albertan that every single year gets transferred out of this province
00:12:23.780 for political reasons so that the Liberals can continue to spend it in places that vote Liberal.
00:12:29.860 There's $9 trillion worth of value in discoverable and achievable reserves right now.
00:12:34.980 And so why would you leave that in the ground?
00:12:36.520 No other country in the world would, and we shouldn't either.
00:12:38.880 Alberta's biggest threat to our prosperity and growth has come from our own nation's capital.
00:12:44.080 Alberta has an Ottawa problem.
00:12:46.360 It goes a lot further than that.
00:12:48.860 There's more to it than just money.
00:12:52.780 Albertans have had enough.
00:12:54.100 You know, I moved out here 15 years ago,
00:12:56.900 and you have no idea how many people have come up to me
00:13:01.280 who still feel the pain of what happened during the National Energy Program
00:13:05.620 under Trudeau Sr. 40 years ago,
00:13:09.380 and how people have lost their jobs over the years because of the Liberal Party.
00:13:13.180 And you get people like Pierre Polyev and his crew walking around the province telling us that
00:13:17.500 if we vote for independence, we won't have any investment. Are you kidding me?
00:13:24.420 These people are jokes. These people, the conservatives are just trying to save their jobs.
00:13:30.360 They'll never be elected again in Canada if Alberta leaves. That's why they're here.
00:13:34.700 They got their ironclad pensions.
00:13:36.640 oh you just have to wait for paul you have to get elected yeah and he'll get tossed out after
00:13:43.780 four years and back come carney and the liberals or somebody else just as bad to put their foot
00:13:49.220 and their boot on our neck that's what happens the other side says all we got to do is work 0.77
00:13:55.400 within canada what's the definition of insanity ladies and gentlemen mark carney you're a joke
00:14:01.120 go back to Europe where you belong. We've had enough of people like you. I've just had it. 0.99
